Abstract:
A new, simple procedure employing the theory of envelope for a family of surfaces with two independent parameters to determine the profiles of camoids with translating spherical followers is presented. Given the follower motion program, the method enables the kinematic relationship for the camoid surface coordinates to be easily generated in an analytical expression. The results are then compared to those obtained by utilizing the principle of contact point between the camoid and the follower surfaces. The pressure angle is analyzed, and the cutter paths required in the machining process are also produced. A numerical example is given to illustrate the application of the approach.

Abstract:

This work show us a link with popular and erudite culture in the poem‟s compilation Hora Aberta (2003) de Gilberto Mendonça Teles. Saci and Camonge make part of popular culture. The artist uses these personages to create a new vision from his book Saciologia Goiana (1982). Saci is from Brazilian folklore and Camongo is from cordel literature and they were used to hide an image of a literary critic, the same Teles. Camões represents the erudite, he makes a dialogue between Europe and Brazil. Goiás and images of this region help us to understand the dichotomy erudite/popular.

Abstract:
We present the case study, carried out in 2015, on the desertion of young people from Puente Piedra district (Lima) who are beneficiaries of the National Youth Employment Program (now Jóvenes Productivos) of the Ministry of Labor and Promotion of Employment, which at the end of their training period, they were inserted into the company Textiles Camones to perform as machinists. With ages between 18 and 29, with a predominance of female participation, they meet a demanding workday, the result of production requirements in the "maquila" business model implemented by the company. The main findings of the investigation were; In the first place, we report a mismatch between the training profile and the profile required by the company. Second, we found slow and poor process used in the Program. Another finding is the expectations of young millennials workers, who are stimulated not only by higher remuneration, but also by the recognition of the company as a place of lifelong learning. We note that the insertion of these young people is the result of the processes of targeting and training. After three months, they renounce to the obtained position, despite the fact that they have possibilities of working in the textile confection market. The causes that forced the desertion, were due to the lack of clarity in the information received in the induction process, they not -achievemen of other benefits such as night studies, a deficit between their salary expectations achieved and those committed by the company, indispensable conditions to feel welcomed by an alternative of attractive and competitive labor training. In the first chapter the introduction is presented, the second contains the detail of the methodological design, the third chapter will deal with the theoretical framework on which the present research is based, the background of the training model found in other countries, as well as a thorough analysis of the authors about the Program and its subsystems. Chapters V, VI and VII will show the results obtained, which provide strong answers to the proposed objectives. This research belongs to the field of Social Management for focusing on the problem of strengthening basic skills for work, in search of integration mechanisms between young people and the formal Peruvian labor market. In order to avoid youth labor desertion in the company, we propose corrective, objective and efficient measures to be implemented by the Program

Abstract:
Founding member of a banking network related to the actual BNP Paribas Group, Meyer Joseph Cahen (1804-1881), adopted the “d’Anvers” when he settled in Paris in 1849. Born in Bonn, of an Ashkenazi family, he made his fortune in the Belgian city to which he associated his name, and he continued his career in France. Owner of Nainville’s castle (Essonne) and of the Petit Hôtel de Villars (Paris), he became a naturalized French citizen in 1865. The next year, he obtained the title of Count, bestowed upon him by the King of Italy Victor-Emmanuel II, thanks to the economic support he offered to the Italian Unification. Nineteen years later, King Humbert I surpassed his predecessor and raised Meyer Joseph’s eldest son, Édouard (1832-1894), to the status of Marquis of Torre Alfina. If his siblings – Emma (1833-1901), Louis (1837-1922), Raphaël (1841-1900) and Albert (1846-1903) – enrooted their pathways in the French capital, the eldest lived between Florence, Naples and Rome: he was one of the great investors involved in the urban renovation of the Italian capital, after the fall of the papacy. In France, as well as in Italy, art, and especially architecture, served to legitimize the recent nobility of a family that wished to express the fullness of its civil rights. As targets of the anti-Semitic press, the Cahen d’Anvers family experienced the consequences of the Dreyfus Affair and the horrors of the racial laws. Before the latter, they adopted what could be defined as a “top-down model of integration”. This thesis focuses on its mechanisms and development. After tracing the patriarch’s origins, it analyses the family’s matrimonial policies and it continues with an exploration of Cahen d’Anvers’ “choices” in the vast field of culture. In their salons, the readers will meet Guy de Maupassant, Paul Bourget, Marcel Proust and Gabriele D’Annunzio, as well as Auguste Renoir and Léon Bonnat. Twelve mansions offered a perfect stage for these intellectual gatherings. As a public manifestation of the family’s economic and social power, the historicist eclecticism of these properties aimed to represent the owners as a new phalanx of the old nobility. While Forge-Philippe’s manor (Wallonia), Gérardmer’s chalet (Vosges) and Villa della Selva (Umbria) expressed a certain openness to the twentieth century novelties, the three residences rented by the family (Hôtel du Plessis-Bellière, Paris; Palazzo Núñez-Torlonia, Rome; Château de la Jonchère, Yvelines) and the two properties of Meyer Joseph, as well as Rue de Bassano’s mansion (Paris) or the castles of Champs (Seine-et-Marne), Bergeries (Essonne) and Torre Alfina (Latium) dressed up their nineteenth century spaces with Ancien Régime motifs. Thanks to their historical knowledge and taste, the architects Destailleur, Giuseppe Partini and Eugène Ricard, as well as the landscapers Henri and Achille Duchêne, were able to bend the Middle Age, the Renaissance and the 18th century’s “grammars” to their patrons’ taste and ambitions.

Abstract:
Nine years after 1968, Italia is going again through one year of agitation. For a few months, the peninsula is crossed over by a social, political and cultural movement, extremely vigorous and offensive, that was named "movement of ’77". This irreverent contestation is going to change with the passing months : the demonstrations become bloody and the movement of ’77 turns to more radicalism. But it will be soon forgotten when Italia, on the 16th of March 1978, day of the kidnapping of Aldo Moro, will rush into the heart of what were called the "Years of Lead". Thus, the italian historiography rarely mentions this year of mobilisation, and only a few italian novelists were inspired by the insurrectionary movement of 1977. We will draw the literary reasons that led those novelists to take over the "movement of ’77", in order to understand the paradoxical exploration of that year which was on one side forgotten by the history of literature, and on the other side used to illustrate the values, the failures and the victory of a whole generation. How did the writers picture that movement? How did they confront its stakes, its drifts, and what it represents? What are the narrative solutions they have found to express it? How do their texts answer to the "myths", these dominating and reducing conceptions that the italian society, traumatised by this period of its history, have brought to the contestating youth? We will follow the diachrony of the literary perceptions of that event, from 1979 to 2007, through the works of Bruno Arpaia, Nanni Balestrini, Ferdinando Camon, Enrico Palandri, Paolo Pozzi and Luca Rastello

A systematic research on the camoid-follower mechanisms is proposed in this study. By using B-spline surface interpolation, discrete motion constraints of followers are synthesized to be complete and continuous motion functions. The corresponding camoid profiles are derived as analytical equations by applying the concept of theory of envelopes. From the analytical camoid profiles, the pressure angles can be also obtained. Besides, the cutter paths needed in machining process are determined from the camoid profile. An NC milling machine is used to cut camoids to show the feasibility. The surface roughness produced after the machining is also analyzed. A mathematical model for estimating the surface roughness, including the chordal deviation and scallop height, is established. By basing on the results obtained in this study, a desigh and machining for camoid-follower mechanisms can be executed in practical applications.

Abstract:
AbstractThe paper analyses the claims to Habsburg subjecthood advanced by the prominent Jewish merchant Haim Camondo following an Ottoman imperial order banishing him from Istanbul to Cyprus in 1782. As the Jewish merchant was the holder of Habsburg and British berats, the Camondo affair came to concern the European ambassadors in Istanbul. Eventually, the merchant and his family were able to escape to Habsburg Trieste with their lives and most of their fortune secured. How the European ambassadors, the Ottoman government, and Haim Camondo translated their understandings of legal belonging and identification to each other during the affair, omitting aspects which did not help their respective cases, sheds further light on notions of imperial subjecthood at a crucial period of transition of these concepts in the Ottoman and Habsburg empires. Analysing the web of cultural and political translations in which the Camondo family was caught up also adds to our understanding of trans-imperial families and contributes to the history of (national) identification and subjecthood.

Abstract:
Abstract A new, simple procedure employing the theory of envelope for a family of surfaces with two independent parameters to determine the profiles of camoids with translating spherical followers is presented. Given the follower motion program, the method enables the camoid surface coordinates to be easily generated in an analytical expression. The results are then compared to those obtained by utilizing the principle of contact point between the camoid and the follower surfaces. The pressure angle is analyzed, and the cutter paths required in the machining process are also produced. A numerical example is given to illustrate the application of the approach.

Abstract:
Camoids are three dimensional cams that can produce more complex follower output than plain disc cams. A camoid follower motion is described by a surface rather than a curve. The camoid profile can be directly synthesized once the follower surface is fully described. To define a camoid follower motion surface it is required that the surface pass by all predefined constraints. Constraints can be follower position, velocity and acceleration. These design constraints are scattered all along the camoid follower surface. Hence a fitting technique is needed to satisfy these constraints which include position and its derivatives (velocity and acceleration). Furthermore if the fitting function can be of a parametric nature, then it would be possible to optimize the follower surface to obtain better performance according to a specific objective. Previous research has established a method to fit camoid follower surface positions, but did not tackle the satisfaction of derivative constraints. This paper presents a method for defining a camoid follower characteristic surface B-Splines on two steps first synthesizing the sectional cam curves then using a surface interpolation technique to generate the follower characteristic surface. The fitting technique is parametric in nature which allows for its optimization. Real coded Genetic algorithms are used to optimize the parameters of the surface to meet a specified objective function. A demonstration problem to illustrate the suggested methodology is presented.
