Abstract:
Election is an important mechanism for one country to choose leaders in a safe and harmonious way. The position of non-Muslim candidates and women is enshrined in the Federal Constitution. The involvement of non-Muslim candidates is generally prohibited from the perspective of Fiqh Siyasah based on the Qur'an (5: 51); and female candidates based on the Qur'an (4:34). The objective of this study was to clarify the position of non-Muslim candidates and women in Fiqh Siyasah which needed to be reviewed from the perspective of the legislative or amendment of the deed according to Islamic values. This study was qualitative that was a library research which involved studies of Turath book and information from field interviews. This study found that the legal status was not in line with the policy of Fiqh Siyāsah under the Federal Constitution Article 47 (b) and the Election Act 1958 (Act 19 Section 13 (1). Therefore, it was a necessary for the Federal Constitution Article 40 (2) 'appointment of a Prime Minister' to be amended to 'appointment of a Muslim Prime Minister' to be consistent with the Federal Constitution of Article 3 which has constituted that Islam is the religion of the federation. Keywords: Non-Muslim Candidate, Woman Candidate, Fiqh Siyasah, Legislation and Election. Pilihan raya merupakan satu mekanisme penting dalam sesebuah negara bagi memilih pemimpin secara aman dan harmoni. Kedudukan calon non Muslim dan wanita sememangnya termaktub dalam Perlembagaan Persekutuan. Penglibatan calon non Muslim secara umumnya adalah dilarang dari sudut fiqh siyasah berdasarkan al-Qur’an (5: 51) dan calon wanita berdasarkan al-Quran (4:34). Objektif kajian ini bagi menjelaskan kedudukan larangan calon non Muslim dan wanita dalam fiqh siyasah yang perlu diteliti semula dari sudut perundangan atau pindaan akta menurut nilai-nilai Islam. Kajian ini bersifat kualitatif iaitu penelitian perpustakaan yang melibatkan kajian kitab turath serta maklumat temu bual di lapangan. Dapatan kajian ini menjelaskan kedudukan perundangan tidak selari dengan dasar fiqh siyāsah di bawah Perlembagaan Persekutuan Perkara 47 (b) dan Akta Pilihan Raya 1958 (Akta 19 Seksyen 13 (1). Justeru, perlu kepada pindaan Perlembagaan Persekutuan Perkara 40 (2) (a) „melantik seorang Perdana Menteri‟ dipinda kepada „melantik seorang Perdana Menteri yang beragama Islam‟ agar ianya selaras dengan Perlembagaan Persekutuan Perkara 3 yang memperuntukkan bahawa agama Islam adalah agama bagi persekutuan. Malaysia sebagai sebuah negara merdeka telah melaksanakan prinsip sistem politik demokrasi dengan mengadakan Pilihan Raya Umum sejak tahun 1955. Pilihan Raya Umum pada tahun 2018 merupakan PRU ke-14 (PRU-14) telah dilaksanakan di Malaysia. Pada PRU tersebut, sebanyak 25 kerusi parlimen dan 60 kerusi DUN telah dipertandingkan di negeri Sabah. Pilihan raya ini telah mencipta sejarah apabila gabungan parti-parti politik pembangkang iaitu Pakatan Harapan telah berjaya menewaskan parti Barisan Nasional yang menjadi pemerintah sejak Malaysia dibentuk pada tahun 1963. Sehubungan itu, selepas PRU-14 arena politik negara telah diwarnai dengan beberapa Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) peringkat Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) seperti di Sungai Kandis, Balakong dan Semenyih serta pilihan raya kecil bagi kerusi parlimen seperti di Cameron Highland, Port Dickson dan Sandakan. PRK bagi P186 Sandakan merupakan pilihan raya kecil yang kelapan diadakan sejak PRU- 14. PRK ini diadakan berikutan kematian ahli parlimen Sandakan iaitu Datuk Wong Tien Fatt akibat serangan jantung. Bagi mengisi kekosongan kerusi P186 Sandakan ini, pihak Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) telah menetapkan Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) bagi parlimen Sandakan supaya diadakan pada 11 Mei 2019 selepas proses penamaan calon selesai pada 27 April 2019. PRK Sandakan ini melibatkan pertandingan 5 penjuru iaitu diantara calon DAP, PBS dan calon bebas. Artikel ini bertujuan membicangkan pola pengundian dalam PRK Sandakan serta menganalisis senario politik negara pasca PRU-14 berdasarkan pengamatan keatas PRK bagi P186 Sandakan dengan menumpukan kepada aspek kerjasama dan persefahaman politik antara parti-parti politik. Melalui penjelasan khusus tentang pola pengundian pasca PRU-14 ini maka adalah diharapkan artikel ini dapat memberi pemahaman tentang perkembangan politik dan pilihanraya semasa di Malaysia secara umumnya dan di Sabah secara khususnya, agar ianya selari dengan prinsip demokrasi sebenar.

Abstract:
In 1958 Francis Moore described the orthotopic liver transplantation technique in dogs. In 1963, Starzl et al. performed the first liver transplantation. In the first five liver transplantations no patient survived more than 23 days. In 1967, stimulated by Calne who used antilymphocytic serum, Starzl began a successful series of liver transplantation. Until 1977, 200 liver transplantations were performed in the world. In that period, technical problems were overcome. Roy Calne, in 1979, used the first time cyclosporine in two patients who had undergone liver transplantation. In 1989, Starzl et al. reported a series of 1,179 consecutives patients who underwent liver transplantation and reported a survival rate between one and five years of 73% and 64%, respectively. Finally, in 1990, Starzl et al. reported successful use of tacrolimus in patents undergoing liver transplantation and who had rejection despite receiving conventional immunosuppressive treatment. Liver Transplantation Program was initiated at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in 1990 and so far over 1,400 transplants have been done. In 2013, 102 deceased donors liver transplantations were performed. The main indications for transplantation were hepatocellular carcinoma (38%), hepatitis C virus (33.3%) and alcohol liver cirrhosis (19.6%). Of these, 36% of patients who underwent transplantation showed biological MELD score > 30. Patient and graft survival in the first year was, 82.4% and 74.8%, respectively. A major challenge in liver transplantation field is the insufficient number of donors compared with the growing demand of transplant candidates. Thus, we emphasize that appropriated donor/receptor selection, allocation and organ preservation topics should contribute to improve the number and outcomes in liver transplantation.

<p>Keluhan yang lazim diungkapkan oleh masyarakat pengguna layanan angkutan kota berkaitan dengan budaya kerja pengemudi angkutan kota antara lain pengemudi angkutan kota yang mengambil dan menurunkan penumpang di luar pangkalan dan suka ngetem, memutar musik dengan volume tinggi, ugal-ugalan dan mengemudikan angkutan kota dengan kecepatan tinggi dan kebut-kebutan di jalan raya dan rem mendadak jika melihat ada calon penumpang di pinggir jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh budaya kerja pengemudi angkutan kota terhadap kepuasan penumpang di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 400 penumpang angkutan kota di Kota Padang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin dan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket dengan pengukuran skala likert dan wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terbukti adanya pengaruh yang signifikan budaya kerja pengemudi angkutan kota terhadap kepuasan penumpang di Kota Padang sebesar 19,1%. Berdasarkan hasil ini perlu upaya pemerintah kota Padang merumuskan suatu bimbingan teknis kepada para pengemudi angkutan kota tentang nilai-nilai budaya kerja yang dapat meningkatkan kepuasan penumpang.</p>Keywords: Budaya Kerja; Kepuasan Penumpang ; Angkutan Kota<em></em>

Abstract:
Calone 1951® (7-methyl-2H-1,5-benzodioxepin-3(4H)-one) is renowned in the fragrance industry for its distinct marine odour and offers an interesting molecular framework for structure-odour-relationship (SOR) research. Limited olfactory reports on 7-membered benzodioxepine analogues with modification influenced by functionality, polarity, and ring size, prompted us to construct a range of aromatic and C-3 substituted structures for olfactory evaluation. Incorporation of a diverse range of functionality contributes valuable information on the molecular aspects that determine the archetypal marine character of Calone 1951®. Here we present the preparation of Calone 1951® analogues including spectroscopic and olfactory details to contribute to the sparse marine fragrance arena. In these studies pertaining to the odour properties of benzodioxepinone systems, we considered the modification of substitution and functionality on the aromatic ring in the context of qua litative olfactory analysis. Application of the patented Williamson and Dieckmann reaction pathways resulted in construction of the benzodioxepinone molecule. Preparation of aryl-substituted benzodioxepinones required introduction of an alternate broadly applicable synthetic pathway due to the diverse nature of the introduced substituents. Limitations of the patented approach led to incorporation of a simple but novel methodology applied to the same range of substituted catechol reagents for synthesis of the benzodioxepinone skeleton and an overview of comparable yields. Single-step mechanisms were also successfully applied to contribute to the repertoire of benzodioxepin(on)e structures prepared for olfactory analysis. Semi-empirical models of the synthesised data set were generated and evaluated in light of previous research undertaken by Archer and Claret and related to the olfactory characteristics of each compound. Evaluation of the models with corresponding olfactory information revealed that functionality and ring size contribute significantly to the conformation adopted by the benzodioxepinone species and therefore the olfactory character of the molecule. It is evident from our observations that aromatic ring substitution and functional alteration of the cyclic ketone modifies the perceived odour of Calone 1951®. Structural modification overall led to a decrease in odour potency. The presence of the aromatic methyl substituent in Calone 1951® reinforces, but is not critical for, the marine tonality. Modification of the ketone of Calone 1951® led to significant deviation in character from the prototypical marine odour.

L'utilisation de méthodologies de synthèse toujours plus performantes et respectueuses de l'environnement est un axe de recherche majeur de la chimie moderne. L'apport de la catalyse, avec l'utilisation de superacides de Lewis, a permis d'améliorer de nombreux processus synthétiques. Nous avons pu développer dans ce manuscrit des réactions de cycloisomérisation de type réaction de Friedel-Crafts qui donnent accès à un ensemble de structures polycycliques intéressantes avec de bons rendements et sélectivités. L'utilisation d'une quantité catalytique, entre 1 et 10 mol% de Bi(OTf)3, permet l'activation d'oléfines et d'allènes non activés ainsi que de systèmes 1,3-diéniques. Ce type de méthodologie, à économie d'atomes maximale, a permis de limiter la formation de sous-produits, le catalyseur pouvant être recyclé et réutilisé sans perte d'activité. Des approches intra- et intermoléculaires, des réactions cascades et tandems ainsi qu'une étude mécanistique ont été effectuées afin de mieux comprendre la réactivité et ses limitations, et ainsi atteindre une plus large gamme de structures. Les méthodologies développées ont été appliquées au domaine des arômes et parfums pour la synthèse d'analogues de la Calone 1951®, de chromanes, d'indanes et de tétralines fonctionnalisés, posant les bases de travaux futurs pour une meilleur compréhension des relations structures-odeurs

L'invention de la photographie a permis à l'individu moderne de documenter visuellement et de façon autonome son histoire personnelle. Les avant-gardes au vingtième siècle (surréalistes, situationnistes, artistes conceptuels) ont alors élevé au rang d'art ces traces indicielles des événements de la vie ordinaire ou de processus esthétiques à l'œuvre. Les productions artistiques et littéraires se sont alors recentrées sur l'expérience subjective de l'auteur au quotidien et Nadja d'André Breton marque l'avènement du récit autobiographique moderne illustré de photographies, à la manière d'un reportage sur soi-même. Cette conception du récit fragmentaire et hétérogène rejoint alors la notion de " mythologie " énoncée par Roland Barthes. Le dispositif photographique dans le texte, une des formes narratives privilégiées des médias, impose cette esthétique du récit à partir duquel le sujet moderne configure une apparence d'identité. Barthes dans les années soixante-dix pratique à son tour cette forme de récit-photo, en même temps que des artistes français comme Christian Boltanski dont les pratiques photo-textuelles ont été assimilées à des " mythologies individuelles ". Dans les années quatre-vingts, le principe est baptisé " photobiographie " alors que l'artiste Sophie Calle débute son activité artistique exclusivement consacrée à la production d'un récit de soi en images. Inspiré des cultural studies, ce travail étudie donc chronologiquement l'émergence de l'autobiographie illustrée de photographies, non pas en tant que genre mais plutôt en tant que pratique généralisée, en art et en littérature à travers la notion de " mythologie individuelle " comme esthétique de soi.

Abstract:
Les difficultés de mise en œuvre d'expériences de terrain ou de laboratoire, ainsi que les coûts associés, conduisent les sociétés industrielles à se tourner vers des codes numériques de calcul. Ces codes, censés être représentatifs des phénomènes physiques en jeu, entraînent néanmoins tout un cortège de problèmes. Le premier de ces problèmes provient de la volonté de prédire la réalité à partir d'un modèle informatique. En effet, le code doit être représentatif du phénomène et, par conséquent, être capable de simuler des données proches de la réalité. Or, malgré le constant développement du réalisme de ces codes, des erreurs de prédiction subsistent. Elles sont de deux natures différentes. La première provient de la différence entre le phénomène physique et les valeurs relevées expérimentalement. La deuxième concerne l'écart entre le code développé et le phénomène physique. Pour diminuer cet écart, souvent qualifié de biais ou d'erreur de modèle, les développeurs complexifient en général les codes, les rendant très chronophages dans certains cas. De plus, le code dépend de paramètres à fixer par l'utilisateur qui doivent être choisis pour correspondre au mieux aux données de terrain. L'estimation de ces paramètres propres au code s'appelle le calage. Cette thèse propose dans un premier temps une revue des méthodes statistiques nécessaires à la compréhension du calage Bayésien. Ensuite, une revue des principales méthodes de calage est présentée accompagnée d'un exemple comparatif basé sur un code de calcul servant à prédire la puissance d'une centrale photovoltaïque. Le package appelé CaliCo qui permet de réaliser un calage rapide de beaucoup de codes numériques est alors présenté. Enfin, un cas d'étude réel d'une grande centrale photovoltaïque sera introduit et le calage réalisé pour effectuer un suivi de performance de la centrale. Ce cas de code industriel particulier introduit des spécificités de calage numériques qui seront abordées et deux modèles statistiques y seront exposés
Field experiments are often difficult and expensive to make. To bypass these issues, industrial companies have developed computational codes. These codes intend to be representative of the physical system, but come with a certain amount of problems. The code intends to be as close as possible to the physical system. It turns out that, despite continuous code development, the difference between the code outputs and experiments can remain significant. Two kinds of uncertainties are observed. The first one comes from the difference between the physical phenomenon and the values recorded experimentally. The second concerns the gap between the code and the physical system. To reduce this difference, often named model bias, discrepancy, or model error, computer codes are generally complexified in order to make them more realistic. These improvements lead to time consuming codes. Moreover, a code often depends on parameters to be set by the user to make the code as close as possible to field data. This estimation task is called calibration. This thesis first proposes a review of the statistical methods necessary to understand Bayesian calibration. Then, a review of the main calibration methods is presented with a comparative example based on a numerical code used to predict the power of a photovoltaic plant. The package called CaliCo which allows to quickly perform a Bayesian calibration on a lot of numerical codes is then presented. Finally, a real case study of a large photovoltaic power plant will be introduced and the calibration carried out as part of a performance monitoring framework. This particular case of industrial code introduces numerical calibration specificities that will be discussed with two statistical models

Este é um estudo da representação do imigrante alemão no romance sul-rio-grandense. Analisa cinco romances que tratam do tema: A divina pastora, de Caldre e Fião (1847), Frida Meyer, de Vivaldo Coaracy (1924), Um rio imita o Reno, de Clodomir Vianna Moog (1939), O tempo e o vento (sete volumes/trilogia), de Erico Verissimo (1949-1962), e A ferro e fogo (dois volumes), de Josué Guimarães (1972 - 1975). A análise das obras foi orientada pelas categorias Família, Trabalho, Religião, Espaço e deslocamento e Contatos. Para cada uma das categorias é feito um levantamento minucioso das informações correspondentes encontradas nas narrativas. Por meio desse processo investigativo são explicitadas as visões sobre a imigração alemã construídas por escritores diferentes em épocas diferentes, formulando-se compreensões sobre assimilação e preservação da identidade étnica e participação dos imigrantes na formação do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
This is a study of the portrayal of German immigrants in romance written in Rio Grande do Sul. An analysis of five literary works addressing the theme is provided. The works are A divina pastora, by Caldre e Fião (1847), Frida Meyer, by Vivaldo Coaracy (1924), Um rio imita o Reno, by Clodomir Vianna Moog (1939), O tempo e o vento (seven volumes/trilogy), by Erico Verissimo (1949-1962), and A ferro e fogo (two volumes), by Josué Guimarães (1972-1975). The analysis was directed by the following categories: Family, Work, Religion, Space and dislocations and Contacts. A thorough assessment of the corresponding information found in the narratives was made for each category. The views on German immigration as constructed by different writers at different times are made explicit through such investigative process, which has raised understanding about the assimilation and preservation of ethnical identity and the participation of immigrants in the formation of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Corollaire de cette question logique, celle de la concomitance historique : les genres artistiques sont-ils mis en question aux mêmes moments que ce que l'historiographie féministe nomme les « trois vagues » ? Sept œuvres particulières nous aideront à penser les confrontations aux hiérarchies du genre à l'âge classique et aux moments des trois vagues féministes : Nature morte aux abricots, de Louise Moillon, 1634, Portrait d'une négresse, de Marie-Guillemine Benoist, 1800, Clotho, de Camille Claudel, 1893, Autoportrait de Claude Cahun, 1928, Tir de Niki de Saint Phalle, 1961, Azione sentimentale, de Gina Pane, 1973, Le Régime chromatique, de Sophie Calle, 1997. En dépit de progrès – notion qui est questionnée plutôt que considérée comme acquise – certains traits attribués aux femmes artistes perdurent. Un regard transversal voit émerger les thèmes d'une hiérarchie toujours à l’œuvre. Ils sont de l'ordre du stigmate : elles sont toujours un peu folles, cuisinières, coquettes, médiocres, sorcières, définies et gouvernées par leur sexe. Le genre, tant qu'il n'est pas interrogé en tant que tel, semble être la garantie de la permanence de ces stigmates. The French word genre has several meanings, including an artistic genre, but also gender – the social traits associated with one sex. Does it follow that the same hierarchy-based systems are at work in both fields of art genre and social gender? Anyone is allowed to conclude so, who considers the practising conditions of women artists, whom a stereotype accuses of restraining their work to so-called minor genres. As a consequence, the issue of historical simultaneity arises: were artistic genres questioned at the same periods as what feminist historiography calls “the three waves”? This thesis focuses on seven specific art pieces so as to examine how gender-related hierarchy systems were confronted in classicism and during each period concerned by the three feminist waves: Nature morte aux abricots, by Louise Moillon, 1634, Portrait d'une négresse, by Marie-Guillemine Benoist, 1800, Clotho, by Camille Claudel, 1893, Autoportrait by Claude Cahun, 1928, Tir by Niki de Saint Phalle, 1961, Azione sentimentale, by Gina Pane, 1973, and Le régime chromatique, by Sophie Calle, 1997. Despite a number of improvements – a notion which is questioned rather than acknowledged – certain features are persistently attributed to women artists. A crosswise look at their work reveals that the patterns of hierarchy are still operating. These features are a matter of stigma: woman artists are inevitably unhinged creatures, cooks, coquettes, mediocre artists or even witches, and always defined and driven by sex. Gender, as long as it isn’t questioned as such, seems to be serving as a guarantee for the permanence of those stigmas. Selon son étude des diverses expériences du temps et sa réfléxion sur le concept de lieu de mémoire de Pierre Nora, François Hartog présente notre époque comme marquée par un présent perpétuel et multiple qu'il nomme « présentisme ». À partir de cette définition, il est possible de suivre les effets de cette appréhension du temps dans la logique du témoignage et des écrits de soi, plus particulièrement l'autofiction comme espace d'expérimentation d'une mémoire qui se construit à partir des possibilités du simulacre. Les oeuvres Douleur Exquise et Des histoires vraies + dix de Sophie Calle et Deuils cannibales et mélancoliques de Catherine Mavrikakis sont le point d'ancrage de cette étude qui prend comme base analytique la fascination contemporaine pour une identité élective fondée sur une mémoire faite de réel et de fictif. Avec l'utilisation de l'archive, document ayant valeur de témoignage historique, Sophie Calle met en scène une mémoire qui pluralise les traces de sa défaillance pour inscrire en creux l'absent. Ainsi, c'est à partir de la construction archivistique qu'il est possible d'aborder le récit comme stratégie de l'oubli autant que pratique de la remémoration. De ce point de vue, l'oeuvre entière est engagée dans un dialogue temporel irréductible à l'événement passé. Aussi à la recherche des traces de l'oubli et de la perte, Mavrikakis énonce, contrairement à Calle, une parole plus subjective marquée par la répétition du deuil et la réécriture de ces morts. Alors que la mémoire mobilise cette parole, la prosopopée agit comme la seule voix possible qui crée une sépulture de la perte. L'écriture se trouve alors travaillée par un présent cannibalisé et saturé des deuils à faire; l'oeuvre s'écrit enfin pour qu'enfin une crypte puisse s'élever. This theoretical and practical dissertation is based on Archive Footage. I will then explore not only this concept but also I will analyse its documental and fictional functions. The starting point for this work was an advertisement of the singer Max in which my mother participated. Thus being the video that forms the practical side of the dissertation, O Dia em que Max desceu a rua, tries, in the beginning, to reconstruct the events that took place that day continuing later to register the several stories that create a family History through the use of Archive Footage. In the theoretical side I will analyse the concepts of Archive Footage, Archive, Collection, Documentary Film, Fictional Film and Editing. There will be a study of the Documentary Film, the Fictional Film and their application of Archive Footageand the use of Editing in their construction. There will be also an investigation on the differences and similarities between Documentary Film and Fictional Film. Taking this into consideration, there will be an analysis of some of the works of the artists Péter Forgács, Sophie Calle, Michael Sucsy, Morgan Dews and Daniel Blaufuks that used Archive Footage and/or explored the relationship between fiction and reality. Sémiologue, critique et écrivain, Roland Barthes fut l'instigateur d'une nouvelle forme de critique qui s'appuie sur une logique propre au texte. Avec Le Plaisir du texte en 1973, Fragments d'un discours amoureux en 1977 et La chambre claire en 1979 entre autres, Barthes transforme les liens entre le romanesque et la théorie. Dans La chambre claire, le penseur tente de comprendre comment une simple image peut créer et nourrir des sentiments. Ces sentiments, que Georges Didi-Huberman attribue il ce qu'il nomme la scission du regard, troublent la vision du spectateur jusqu'à le questionner et à l'interroger sur sa propre mort. Le seuil investi entre le visible et l'invisible par exemple, ou plutôt le constant franchissement de ce seuil, constitue la brèche d'où le regard se scinde et inquiète. Nous nous servirons des fondements théoriques de cette approche afin de voir comment L'hôtel, Les dormeurs, Suite vénitienne et La filature de Sophie Calle parviennent à mettre en scène l'oscillation, la confrontation et le mélange entre ce qui est visible et ce qui est invisible, produisant un effet captivant et questionnant. Deux figures qui cristallisent ce vacillement seront étudiées afin de cerner deux variations relevant de la dynamique visible/invisible, à savoir la présence et l'absence, et l'apparition et la disparition. La première figure, l'empreinte, possède la capacité de montrer à la fois la présence et l'absence des individus de passage dans les chambres de L'hôtel et des Dormeurs. La deuxième figure, la trace, permet de comprendre les deux actants des jeux d'espionnage, à l'œuvre dans Suite vénitienne et dans La filature, comme des êtres qui apparaissent et disparaissent tout à la fois. "Prefață: Consiliere și mentorare cu impact Călăuzirea spirituală: de la „avva” Antichității la mentorul de azi Sfântul apostol Pavel le scria romanilor: „Dar cum vor chema pe Acela în care n-au crezut? Și cum vor crede în Acela despre care n-au auzit? Și cum vor auzi despre El, fără ca cineva să predice? Și cum vor predica, dacă n-au fost trimiși? Astfel, credința vine din cele auzite, iar cele auzite, prin Cuvântul Lui Dumnezeu.” (Romani 10: 14-15). Nimeni n-a plecat la propovăduire de capul lui. 1. Inițial, Isus „a chemat pe cine a vrut” (chemarea; vocația divină: gr. kaleo; lat. voco/are = a chema); 2. apoi, „ei au venit la El și a rânduit dintre ei 12, ca să-i aibă cu Sine” (răspunsul personal: voluntar și prompt [lat. protinus = îndată]; asumarea vocației apostolice și „ucenicia” alături de Isus timp de trei ani; gr. mathitevo = a fi discipol; a învăța; lat. discipulus); și 3. în final, Isus „i-a trimis să predice” (misiunea apostolică; gr. apo/stello; lat. mitto/ere = a trimite; missio/onis = trimitere; gr. kirysso = a propovădui; „a face o proclamație în calitate de herald”; un „mesager al Domnului”; gr. kyr = domn) [Marcu 3:13-14]. Chemare, ucenicie, trimitere..., toate acestea s-au petrecut „la împlinirea timpului” (Galateni 4:4), într-un moment de cumpănă al omenirii, cum ar zice E. Cioran: „Pe culmile disperării”, când „Poporul care stătea în întuneric, a văzut o mare Lumină și, celor care zăceau în ținutul și în umbra morții, le-a răsărit Lumina” (Matei 4:16) „transfigurării cosmice” (Cioran) mesianice. Isus n-a venit într-o lume pregătită să-L primească, ci într-o lume bulversată, disperată și în așteptare... Nu era o lume mai dreaptă, mai bună, mai credincioasă, mai morală, mai cultă, mai catehizată, mai primitoare decât cea de azi. Dar Isus n-a ținut cont de nimic din toate astea, ci pur și simplu a venit să-și îndeplinească „misiunea”: a învățat, a vindecat boli incurabile, a înviat persoane trecute în „viața de apoi”, a iertat, a exorcizat „demonii” multor patimi, a dat sens multor vieți, a provocat, a contestat formalismele Templului, cărturarilor și fariseilor, a declanșat furia mai marilor vremii și nu a fugit de supliciul și „rușinea” crucii. Într-un fel, la (răs)crucea vremurilor de azi, lucrurile par a se suprapune cu cele din timpul lui Isus. Trăim într-o lume complet debusolată, secularizată, nihilistă, agnostică, sceptică, indiferentă, relativistă, dezumanizată, lacomă și nesătulă, buimacă, parcă „fără istorie spirituală și fără viitor”, ostilă Celui de Sus și refractară oricărei morale, o epocă a indiscreției și lipsei de pudoare, a pornografiei, traficului de carne vie, vânzărilor de armament, droguri etc., fără sentimentul păcatului (Morale sans péché, dr. Hesnard, 1954), fără pic de rușine, fără valori, direcție, sens și destinație spirituală. Dumnezeu ne-a adus de la haos (abis, „tohu wa bohu” = o lume „fără formă și goală”; „fără cap și fără coadă”) la kosmos (ordine, viață, „căpătâi”), dar noi, parcă tributari „vocației entropiei”, mergem ireversibil către neant, nonsens și autodistrugere. Dumnezeu ne-a dăruit Viața, dar noi, incapabili să-i descifrăm farmecul, bucuria, valoarea și sensul, ne-o suprimăm sau ne-o irosim în nimicnicie. Ne-a dăruit Iubirea, dar ura, intoleranța și resentimentele ne stăpânesc. „Lumina a venit în lume, dar oamenii au iubit mai mult întunericul decât lumina, pentru că faptele lor erau rele.” (Ioan 3:19). Nu suntem cu nimic mai buni peste 2000 de ani decât atunci, dimpotrivă! Dar, în loc să stăm și să ne lamentăm continuu, mai bine căutăm soluții. Omul sfințește locul! Tuturor acestor provocări vor trebui să le facă față duhovnicii, mentorii, cateheţii și toți învățătorii spirituali de azi. O teologie de manual, scolastică, teoretică, stearpă și polemicile noastre confesionaliste sunt de mult depășite. Cum „imputa” ironic un student profesorului de dogmatică: „Dom’ profesor, cred că nici Dumnezeu nu știe despre El atâtea câte ați scris dumneavoastră în manualul acesta!” Termeni, dogme, erezii, speculații filosofice, dispute – la ce servesc toate astea? „Nimic nu e mai sărac decât cugetarea care, stând afară de Dumnezeu, filosofează despre Dumnezeu.” (Diadoh, episcop al Foticeei, sec. V). Azi, e nevoie de creștini autentici și mărturisitori adevărați (gr. martirevo = a mărturisi; de aici și termenul de „martir”) într-o relație vie cu Dumnezeu, „din interiorul Lui”, în Duhul Lui, nu doar de niște transmițători de cunoștințe teologice exterioare, mereu puși pe harță pentru monopolul (exclusivismul) și „drepturile de autor” asupra „adevărului” divin. Vremea polemicilor sterile a apus. Lumea nu mai are nevoie să afle „sexul îngerilor”! E nevoie de o Întâlnire adevărată cu Dumnezeu, nu doar la nivelul minții și speculațiilor teologice, ci și la nivelul inimii și al spiritului. Un consilier sau mentor spiritual asta va trebui să facă, să-l conducă pe omul zilelor de azi la Marea Întâlnire existențială și spirituală cu Dumnezeu. „Oare poate un orb să călăuzească pe un alt orb? Nu vor cădea amândoi în groapă?” (Luca 6:39). Avem nevoie de duhovnici adevărați, de consilieri adevărați, de mentori spirituali adevărați, cu pregătire umană, teologică și viață spirituală pe măsură, care să înțeleagă omul de azi cu toate problemele, slăbiciunile și ezitările lui, nu de triumfaliști „îmbelferiţi ai spiritului”, de legaliști, formaliști, moraliști de mucava care să te trateze de pe poziții de superioritate, suficiență și omnisciență. Avem nevoie de călăuze spirituale umane, calde, autentice, vii care să „nu ne dea lecții de morală ieftină” și de „auto-izbutită soteriologie”. Nu e nevoie de „experți” care să ni se insinueze drept „modele” și „păstori” ai unei turme paraplegice și oarbe, ci de oameni adevărați cu inimă caldă și mare, cu care să putem intra într-un dialog real, de la om la om, de la suflet la suflet, cu Dumnezeul cel Viu prezent în mijlocul nostru. Predica publică e una, relația de îndrumare spirituală, de consiliere sau de mentorat este alta. Este o relație particulară, de la om la om, cu o forță de impact soteriologic imensă: o adevărată „chirurgie spirituală” în care omul își oferă mentorului spiritual inima deschisă ca „pe tavă” cu toată încrederea. De măiestria și responsabilitatea duhovnicului, consilierului sau mentorului spiritual depinde „reușita operației” și felul în care este „suturată” incizia. Din păcate, mulți au rămas profund dezamăgiți și debusolați după „întâlnirea” cu unele „pseudo-călăuze” sau „mercenari” implicați în acest câmp psihologic și spiritual extrem de fragil. Predica te poate atinge parțial, dar cuvântul adresat direct, de la inimă la inimă, n-are cum să nu-ţi trezească sentimente, întrebări, idei, aspirații puternice. Aceasta și era relația directă dintre avva (maestrul spiritual) și ucenic, încă din antichitatea creștină, și către asta tindem și acum, spre o neo-evanghelizare sau re-încreştinare autentică (nu îndoctrinare sau prozelitism) a omului, prin comunicarea față în față cu mentorul, un om mai experimentat, pregătit (psihologic și spiritual), cu învățăcelul, în curs de formare, pentru a-l smulge din marasmul și pericolele societății atee despre care vorbeam mai sus. Mai trebuie doar să înțelegem că, azi, această relație spirituală de călăuzire este cumva „pe picior de egalitate”. Nimeni nu se consideră superior nimănui, doar „maestrul” spiritual este dispus și disponibil să (se) investească în „discipol”, în beneficiul orientării lui existențiale și mântuirii. Aceasta înseamnă „artă” și autenticitate spirituală! Volumul de față, Consiliere și mentorare cu impact, ca, de altfel, întreaga colecție Autentic, urmăreşte obținerea unor mărturii adevărate ale unor persoane autentice, care să le fie de folos în orientarea și formarea oamenilor dispuși să-și caute calea și rostul lor spiritual. Așa cum, deja, ne-a obișnuit apariția primului volum, Copilărie și parentalitate cu impact, structura celui de față este la fel de coerentă, variată și interesantă cum, nu mă îndoiesc nicio clipă, vor fi și cele ce vor urma. Coordonatoarea volumului și a colecției, doamna conf. univ. dr. Patricia Runcan, un manager cultural excelent și, la rându-i, un om spiritual autentic, nu se dezice, nici de această dată, de stilul ei „nemțesc”, precis, pedant și de chemarea/menirea pe care i-a dat-o Dumnezeu: de a învăța în școală, de a mărturisi în/prin Biserică și de a scrie mesajul divin celor dispuși să-l asculte. Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA), LLC, has developed processes and equipment for a pilot-scale hot isostatic pressing (HIP) treatability study to stabilize and volume reduce radioactive calcine stored at Idaho National Laboratory (INL). In 2009, the U. S. Department of Energy signed a Record of Decision with the state of Idaho selecting HIP technology as the method to treat 5,800 yd3 (4,400 m3) of granular zirconia and alumina calcine produced between 1953 and 1992 as a waste byproduct of spent nuclear fuel reprocessing. Since the 1990s, a variety of radioactive and hazardous waste forms have been remotely treated using HIP within INL hot cells. To execute the remote process at INL, waste is loaded into a stainless-steel or aluminum can, which is evacuated, sealed, and placed into a HIP furnace. The HIP simultaneously heats and pressurizes the waste, reducing its volume and increasing its durability. Two 1-gal cans of calcine waste currently stored in a shielded cask were identified as candidate materials for a treatability study involving the HIP process. Equipment and materials for cask handling and calcine transfer into INL hot cells, as well as remotely operated equipment for waste can opening, particle sizing, material blending, and HIP can loading have been designed and successfully tested. These results demonstrate BEA’s readiness for treatment of INL calcine.

Abstract:
The Calcine Disposition Project (CDP) of the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) has the responsibility to retrieve, treat, and dispose of the calcine stored at the Idaho Nuclear Technology and Engineering Center (INTEC) located at the Idaho National Laboratory. Calcine is the granular product of thermally treating, or calcining liquid high-level waste (HLW) that was produced at INTEC during the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) to recover uranium. The CDP is currently designing the Hot Isostatic Pressure (HIP) treatment for the calcine to provide monolithic, glass-ceramic waste form suitable for transport and disposition outside of Idaho by 2035 in compliance with the Idaho Settlement Agreement. The HIP process has been used by industry since its invention, by Battelle Institute, in 1955. Hot isostatic pressing can be used for upgrading castings, densifying pre-sintered components, and consolidate powders. It involves the simultaneous application of a high pressure and temperature in a specially constructed vessel. The pressure is applied on all sides with a gas (usually inert) and, so, is isostatic. The CDP will use this treatment process (10,000 psi at 1,150 C) to combine physically and chemically a mixture of calcine and granular additives into a non leachable waste-form. The HIP process for calcine involves filling a metal can with calcine and additives, heating and evacuating the can to remove volatiles, sealing the can under vacuum, and placing the can within the HIP machine for treatment. Although the HIP process has been in use for over 50 years it has not been applied in large scale radioactive service. Challenges with retrofitting such a system for Calcine treatment include 1) filling and sealing the HIP can cleanly and remotely, 2) remotely loading and unloading the HIP machine, and 3) performing maintenance and repair on a 300 ton, hydraulically actuated machine in a highly radioactive hot cell environment. In this article, a systems engineering approach, including use of industry-proven design-for-quality tools and quantitative assessment techniques is summarized. Discussions on how these techniques were used to improve high-consequence risk management and more effectively apply failure mode, RAMI, and time and motion analyses at the earliest possible stages of design are provided.

La calle es un organismo vivo, un espacio de apropiación pública, donde su uso puede mejorar o degradar la calidad de vida de las personas. El Bajo Augusta, área cortada por la calle Augusta, de la Avenida Paulista a la Plaza Roosevelt en el centro de São Paulo, símbolo de la ocupación urbana paulistana y escenario de manifestaciones culturales y sociales desde 1950, sufrió profundas transformaciones urbanas de degeneración del paisaje urbano, reflejo del rápido crecimiento económico y la descentralización provocada por inversiones de capital privado y de recursos de infraestructura pública, creando nuevos puntos de centralidad. La investigación objetiva la recalificación del paisaje urbano del Bajo Augusta basada en cinco ejes estructuradores: accesibilidad urbana, movilidad sostenible, identidad cultural, vivienda social y preservación ambiental; y en la legislación urbana vigente. Para que esta área sea eficiente y accesible, nuevos escenarios urbanos se propusieron con conexiones vivas entre personas, lugares y actividades - valorización de la identidad cultural, uso compacto y diversificado, y nueva movilidad sostenible; un transporte de masa compacto a la demanda local y conectado a los diferentes modales, reduciendo la necesidad de desplazamientos. Esta propuesta pretende establecer espacios públicos llenos de vitalidad, nuevas oportunidades de trabajo, ocio y cultura, privilegiando la escala humana, regenerar las cualidades socioambientales y colaborar con el desarrollo sostenible del municipio de São Paulo.

Con el análisis de la performance “Viena says…” del artista alemán Nasan Tur pretendemos demostrar como el borrado no sólo es una práctica a la que se llega a través de la sustracción, sino también a través de la adicción. Y cómo esta práctica tiene mucho que ver con la sobreabundancia de las imágenes y la pérdida de la identidad. Este análisis forma parte de un trabajo más extenso que desarrollamos sobre las prácticas antivisuales en la contemporaneidad. Nasan Tur (Alemania,1974). Este artista para su trabajo parte del entorno urbano, la calle, la plaza, el bar, una mezquita, una escalera, un aeropuerto, es decir, donde la gente se cruza temporalmente, donde los caminos y las ideas heterogéneas se enfrentan. Sus intervenciones tienen como objetivo romper con normalidad e investigar las situaciones donde se infringen los acuerdos. En un primer apartado del artículo describimos como el artista explora la interacción del lenguaje y los símbolos en el espacio público. La obra de la imagen superior forma parte de la serie de un trabajo titulado The city says... En esta obra reúne más de cien frases pintadas en graffiti que toma de las paredes de las casas de la ciudad y las pinta con aerosol de nuevo en una pared interior de su estudio, superponiéndolas en un tiempo muy veloz hasta que todos se tornan una superficie roja ilegible. La ilegibilidad y el borrado de la palabra no es un tema nuevo en el arte por eso un segundo apartado del artículo recuerda aquellos ejemplos donde ha estado presente dentro de ciertas prácticas antivisuales. Frente a la imagen omnipresente el borrado continúa siendo un acto de rebeldía y de posicionamiento que sobrepasando el placer estético se convierte en una táctica de cuestionamiento. En este caso la palabra es borrada y con ella la acción performativa adquiere una nueva dimensión. A partir del borrado de frases cortas como un Te quiero, No hay respeto, Libertad para…, etc. y que en realidad adornan miles de fachadas de todo el mundo, lo que se está haciendo presente es el mutismo de una sociedad. En las conclusiones hablaremos de esta crisis del valor comunicativo y cómo la superficie cubierta de pintura en aerosol de este modo se puede leer como una metáfora de las dificultades que acosan a cualquier forma de comunicación.
