Full textIn this thesis we develop a general theory to prove the existence of several Itô formulae on the one dimensional stochastic heat equation driven by additive space-time white noise. That is denoting by u the solution of this SPDE for any smooth enough function f we define some new notions of stochastic integrals defined upon u, which cannot be defined classically, in order to deduce new identities involving f(u) and some non trivial corrections. These new relations are obtained by using the theory of regularity structures and the theory of rough paths. In the first chapter we obtain a differential and an integral identity involving the reconstruction of some modelled distributions. Then we discuss a general change of variable formula over any Hölder continuous path in the context of rough paths, relating it to the notion of quasi-shuffle algebras and the family of so called quasi-geometric rough paths. Finally we apply the general results on quasi-geometric rough paths to the time evolution of u. Using the Gaussian behaviour of the process u, most of the terms involved in these equations are also identified with some classical constructions of stochastic calculus

Full textEste trabalho tem como objectivo mostrar o impacto das sucessivas alterações da fórmula de cálculo das pensões na taxa de substituição de cinco carreiras contributivas diferentes, as quais estão divididas por sua vez em três níveis salariais de forma a tornar o trabalho mais representativo da realidade. Para tal recorre-se aos Decretos-Lei: DL 329/1993 de 25 de Setembro, DL 35/2002 de 19 de Fevereiro e ao DL 187/2007 de 10 de Maio para perceber em que consistiram essas alterações. Após terem sido efectuadas essas simulações, conclui-se que as taxas de substituição tendem a diminuir à medida que o salário aumenta.
This paperwork has the objective of showing the impact of the successive changes to the pension’s calculation formula on the replacement rate of five different contributive careers, which are themselves divided on three salary levels to make this work a better representative of reality. To do so it refers to the Decree-law: DL 329/1993 of 25 September, DL 35/2002 of 19 February and to DL 187/2007 of 10 May to understand on what those changes consisted in. After the simulations have been done, it was concluded that the replacement rate tend to decrease as the salary increases.

Full textThree to four phase equilibrium calculations are in the heart of tertiary recovery simulations. In gas/steam injection processes, additional phases emerging from the oil-gas system are added to the set and have a significant impact on the oil recovery. The most important computational effort in many chemical process simulators and in petroleum compositional reservoir simulations is required by phase equilibrium and thermodynamic property calculations. In field scale reservoir simulations, a huge number of phase equilibrium calculations is required. For all these reasons, the algorithms must be robust and time-saving. In the literature, few simulators based on equations of state (EoS) are applicable to thermal recovery processes such as steam injection. To the best of our knowledge, no fully compositional thermal simulation of the steam injection process has been proposed with extra-heavy oils; these simulations are essential and will offer improved tools for predictive studies of the heavy oil fields. Thus, in this thesis different algorithms of improved efficiency and robustness for multiphase equilibrium calculations are proposed, able to handle conditions encountered during the simulation of steam injection for heavy oil mixtures. Most of the phase equilibrium calculations are based on the Newton method and use conventional independent variables. These algorithms are first investigated and different improvements are proposed. Michelsen’s (Fluid Phase Equil. 9 (1982) 21-40) method for multiphase-split problems is modified to take full advantage of symmetry (in the construction of the Jacobian matrix and the resolution of the linear system). In the notebook pivot mechanism, there is a disc spring and a cam mechanism, wherein the force generated by the disc spring can support the concave cam follower, and the mechanism can be concave between the elastic force of the disc spring and the concave cam The slot has a fixed effect on the pen panel. The disc springs of different outer diameters and plate thicknesses also have different elastic forces, thus affecting the fixing strength. The main research direction of this thesis is to design the torque formula of the pen electric pivot mechanism, use the various types of disc springs to verify the feasibility of the torque formula, and establish a set of torsion empirical formula system. In this study, the disc spring of diameter 6mm is tested for the thickness of the disc spring according to its thickness. The spring constant of each type of disc spring is tested by the MTS test machine, which is convenient for the design of the torsion formula. Because the pivot mechanism is in the process of designing the torque formula. It is too complicated, so the four disc springs are arranged in series and mounted on the pivot. The torque indicator is used to test the pivot torque. The torque test of the pivotless cam and the concave cam are respectively performed. The result is based on the relationship between the torque and the displacement and the curve is compared to the error. Finally, using the experimental data of each type of disc spring, a set of torsion empirical formula system can be established, which can be applied to the selection of disc spring elements inside the pen electric pivot mechanism. The data obtained in this study will be input with the disc spring parameters of each model, the number of contact surfaces and the displacement. According to the load of the pen armature design, please refer to this paper to study the torsion empirical formula system to quickly find the appropriate one. The notebook pivot mechanism is a combination of several torsion plates, pivots, fixing plates, support frames and nuts. The main core of the pivotal structure is that the torsion piece and the pivot are interference fit, and the frictional force of the inner hole and the pivotal contact surface of the torsion piece is generated by the rotation. The main research direction of this thesis is that the axial hole interference formula combined with the torsion formula is the main axis. By using the torque test as the verification method, a set of torsion empirical formula system is finally established. In this study, for the analysis of torsion film, the SolidWorks 2017 Simulation system is used to analyze the displacement and the axis hole interference formula to input relevant parameters, and the error comparison is used to improve the reliability. Since the actual torsion piece opening is 60 degrees, it is necessary to analyze the displacement state of each opening angle by analysis and replace the pressure caused by the same displacement, and then multiply the pressure value of each angle with the pressure value without the opening angle. In order to use the formula, it can be converted into a torque or pressure value at the required angle. Torque sheets of different materials are used to match the pivots of the same material. By combining the change of the interference amount and the number of different torsion pieces, the torque test is performed to compare the measured data with the torsion empirical formula. Finally, a set of torsion empirical formula system is established. The system can be used to input the required design parameters to obtain the torque value as a reference, so as to achieve the effect of quickly selecting design parameters.

As generally recognized, the main drawback of a fully-digitalized power-factor- correction (PFC) converter is that too many analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are used, and hence the corresponding cost is high. Therefore, in this thesis, the information on the required signal is obtained via two paired saw-toothed waves compared with the sensed signal, without any ADC used. For the PFC applications, two proposed formulas used to figure out the average current, together with the strategy for changing sampling points, are applied to accurately sampling the average input current of the PFC converter. At the same time, based on the slope value of the magnetizing inductance current obtained from the average current calculation formula, another formula used to calculate the input voltage is derived so as to obtain the input voltage information used to feed the partial feedforward controller. As for the sinusoidal reference command, it is generated by zero detection along with a sinusoid table. On the other hand, the information on the output voltage is obtained by one approximation average calculation formula. Therefore, there is no ADC required to realize fully-digitalized control of the PFC converter. Furthermore, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed sampling topology are verified by simulated and experimental results.

Full textThis thesis is a contribution to the analysis of the electric field in the vicinity of single-circuit and double-circuit overhead power lines. Analytical formulas are developed for the accurate calculation of the intensity of the electric field as well as simpler approximate formulas. The proposed calculation method has arisen from the combination of the analysis of the conductors’ charges in their symmetrical components, the description of the intensity of the electric field using double complex numbers and the use of multipole expansions to express the intensity of the electric field. The use of double complex numbers allows the simultaneous representation of sinusoidal varying quantities (voltages and charges) and geometrical distances with complex numbers. The multipole expansion is a series of infinite terms, where each term is inversely proportional to an increasing power of the distance. Accurate analytical formulas are also developed as well as simpler approximate formulas for the calculation of the magnetic flux density produced by double-circuit lines. For the development of those formulas the use of double complex numbers is combined with the multipole expansion to express the magnetic flux density.

Full textRectangular concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) may be subjected to local bearing forces transmitted from brace members while being used as a chord of a truss, and thus development of finite element analysis (FEA) and simple design calculation method for rectangular CFSTs under local bearing forces are very important to ensure the safety and reliable design of such a truss with rectangular CFST chords in engineering practices. A three-dimensional FEA model was developed using ABAQUS software package to predict the performance of thin-walled rectangular CFST under local bearing forces. The preciseness of the predicted results was evaluated by comparison with experimental results reported in the available literature. The comparison and analysis show that the predicted failure pattern, load versus deformation curves and bearing capacity of rectangular CFST under local bearing forces obtained from FEA modelling were generally in good agreement with the experimental observations. After the validation, the FEA model was adopted for the mechanism analysis of typical rectangular CFSTs under local bearing forces. Finally, based on the parametric analysis, simple design equations were proposed to be used to calculate the bearing capacity of rectangular CFST under local bearing forces.

Abstract The data of creatinine (2-Amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-ol, C4H7N3O) were collected and comparative study has been carried out based on 402 medical records of diabetes patients from an eastern teaching hospital in Taiwan during the period of January 2015 and January 2016. The for-mulas of 4-variable MDRD, IDMS-MDRD, CKD-EPI and Taiwanese MDRD were adopted to calculate the eGRF for these patients. The study showed that Taiwanese MDRD leads the other three in over-estimation in diagnosis of diabetes patients up to the number of 49, the rest ones followed the same trend with much lower numbers ranging from 25 to 29. After calibration with the best cutoff values with respect to each formula, the ROC analysis converged the differences in diagnosis within 2. This study concluded that the measures of associated medical judgements are the key for accurate diagnosis, the strict usage of formulas alone did not work out well in serving the purpose of diagnosis of diabe-tes.
