Abstract:
A perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) cDNA library was screened with a PCR-amplified cad DNA fragment generated from ryegrass cDNA template using degenerate oligonucleotide primers. A full-length cDNA (LpeCad1) was isolated and confirmed to encode a cinnamyl alcohol dehydrogenase (CAD) enzyme by expression of activity in Escherichia coli. The recombinant enzyme catalyses conversion of coniferaldehyde and sinapaldehyde with similar efficiency, and apparent K m values below 10 µM were determined for these substrates, whereas weak substrate inhibition occurs above this concentration. The predicted perennial ryegrass CAD was very similar (88–87percnt; amino acid sequence identity) to the only other monocotyledonous plant CAD sequences available, those of maize and sugarcane, respectively. Southern blot hybridization analysis indicated that there may be two or three cad genes, or alleles, in perennial ryegrass. The ryegrass LpeCad1 gene resembles the maize cadgene in showing strong expression in root and stem tissues, but is also expressed at lower levels in shoot, leaf sheath, leaf blade and floral tissues.

Abstract:
In 2010, one of the policies at Semarang Government is to the arrangement of the cadgers with the concept of the food court at Simpang Lima area. A number of shelter used as a culinary center grouped by type of business. This condition is apparently an impact on the development of the business has been run by cadgers. Therefore this study aimed to determine differences in business development both before and after the relocation of cadgers in the area of Simpang Lima Semarang. The study was conducted in the city of Semarang with a sample of 45 traders who occupy the shelter. The research method used was a comparative study. Further variables that all indicators have met the validity will be tested using different test Paired Sample T- Test. The results showed that there are differences in the development of business both before and after the relocation of cadgers in the area of Simpang Lima Semarang better on the indicators of turnover, profit/gain levels, the extent of effort, comfort, venture capital, number of employees and number of consumers. From the factors of business growth can be seen that the factor turnover, profit/gain levels, the extent of the business, venture capital, number of employees, the number of consumers and the number of productivity by traders felt better when compared before relocation than after relocation. Meanwhile as for the comfort factor by merchants considered to be in good condition at the time after relocation.Recommendations can be given the necessity of the payment made at one door/cashier using the concept that each customer can buy in any shop without fear that the buyer does not pay for the food they buy it’s . This concept can be done with the dealer manager agreement with the merchant so good between the consumer and the merchant is not harmed.

Abstract:
The problem of adaptation of the Steller's northern sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus, Schreber, 1776) to the coastal water area adjacent to the town of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is presented in the article. There are two stages in the sea lion synanthropization. The first stage is associated with rookeries formation, foraging near vessels and in the bay in area, in the usual habitat of these animals, in seawater. The second stage is connected with pioneering a new habitat and feeding on land. During sea lion adaptation to new conditions over a 20-year peri-od, the fear of humans noticeably decreased in animals, new behavioural traits such as cadging appeared. The group of sea lions wintering in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky during the 20-year period was characterized by sta-tistically significant fluctuations in numbers by year and season. The further coexistence of wintering animals depends on the dynamics of the influence of both natural and anthropogenic factors.

Abstract:
AbstractUsing pictures, city regulations, and judicial records, this essay claims a place for women of varying rank and status in the street life of early modern Rome. It revises the conventional binary of male public realms and female domesticity that, reinforced by scholarly expectations of Mediterranean gendered seclusion, obscures a necessary female presence in the city. In urban spaces outside their homes beggars, prostitutes, servants, working wives, nubile daughters, and even gentlewomen faced risks, but also cadged opportunities. Though excluded from government and corporate decision-making, women routinely ventured into the streets in pursuit of many goals: heavenly salvation, earthly livelihood, neighborly support, vital information, or momentary pleasure. While Rome's patterns of physical and demographic growth distinguished it in important respects from other Italian cities, it is nevertheless likely that, as in Venice, these female uses of urban space had analogues elsewhere.

Abstract:
Stigmata, a 1999 film, dramatizes the recovery of a lost Jesus gospel by placing it within the story of the possession of an atheist beautician, who is also a stigmatic. The discovery of the reason for her possession and her exorcism leads ultimately to the publication of the lost, now found gospel. Stigmata cadges selections from the Gospel of Thomas together to create this gospel, which is a version of the Hollywood gospel hallowing the heroic individual above all things and empowering the fantasy of the subjective, expressive individual. This Hollywood gospel—unlike the Gospel of Thomas—is also scientific (or, at least, empirical and pragmatic), materialist, and democratic. It is, in short, a belated, peculiarly American form of gnosticism. Intriguingly, Stigmata’s drama also sheds some light on scholarship, revealing among other things the cultural embeddedness of scholarship and its interaction with popular fiction, particularly at the points of lost gospels and the notion of heroic individuals struggling against corrupt institutions.

Abstract:
In health care institutions, religious and worldview diversity is dealt with in the context of three practices: multicultural care programs, moral deliberation and spiritual (or chaplaincy) care. Whereas in the first two diversity seems to be constituent of the practices, universalizing tendencies in chaplaincy care have limited the appreciation of difference and the development of the handwork of interfaith chaplaincy. In an empirical study by Cadge and Sigalow only two strategies are noted: neutralizing and code-switching. Both strategies, however, tend to neglect the significance of religious and cultural difference. A comparison with pastoral approaches to cultural difference formulated by Lartey leads to the formulation of criteria for strategies of interreligious and intercultural care along with the suggestion of several more strategies.

Abstract:
DNA methylation can be elucidated as the reversible addition of methyl (CH3) group to C5 position of cytosine to form 5-methylcytosine that symbolizes an important regulatory layer associated with gene expression and regulation. It needs to be precisely regulated as any alteration in DNA methylation pattern may lead to various diseases. Recent studies have provided evidence of relation between DNA methylation and cardiovascular disease. Thus to facilitate improved diagnosis and better treatment decisions, the objective of this study is to create an efficient, effective and accurate systems to enable the extraction of the detailed information related to methylation of genes involved in cardiovascular disease development by contributing resources from various databases namely Coronary Artery Disease Gene Database (CADgene), DisGeNET, Comparative Toxicogenomics Database (CTD), DiseaseMeth, Dragon Database for Methylated Genes and Diseases (DDMGD), Database of CpG islands and Analytical Tool (DBCAT) etc. and various published literatures.

"An Introduction." In Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care in the Twenty-First Century, edited by Wendy Cadge and Shelly Rambo, 1–16. University of North Carolina Press, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.5149/northcarolina/9781469667607.003.0001.

Abstract:
The aim of this volume is to feature the work of chaplains and to offer a resource for those exploring and preparing to be chaplains. Cadge and Rambo do so by naming three broad areas of competency important for all chaplains, regardless of sector or level of professionalization. These areas intentionally cut across some of the traditional lines of sector and religious tradition that have historically framed the work of chaplaincy, as well as across chaplaincy education and practice. Cadge and Rambo understand these three competencies as provisional placeholders that may assist educators in making important—needed—shifts in education to better match the realities of the work on the ground. They intend the volume as a teaching tool to be used in theological schools and clinical settings and invite educators to consider how they are building skills and competencies in these three areas.
