Abstract:

A predictive analysis of an heat-exchanger design against severe vibration and wear has to cope with experimental data on flow-induced vibration and fretting wear, together with the use of analytical and numerical methods for predicting linear and nonlinear tube response. This paper describes a general approach of the problem currently under development at C.E.A. Attention is especially paid to some key aspects of the numerical techniques, namely, the modelization of flow-induced forcing functions and the modelization of impact and sliding at tube-support gaps. These topics are exemplified by numerical results related to some typical situations including the case of random vibration induced by flow turbulence and fluidelastic vibration.

Abstract:

Since the first experiment in 2014, more and more plasma diagnostics are being deployed on the Laser MegaJoule (LMJ) facility manufactured by C.E.A/D.A.M. These diagnostics aim at measuring radiations or particles emitted during laser experiments to study high-energy physics, especially inertial confinement fusion (ICF). Different types of sensors surround the LMJ target chamber and realize the conversion of the quantities of interest to an electric signal. The signal is then transmitted via coaxial cables, acquired by a broadband oscilloscope, and digitally post-processed. Each step of this typical acquisition chain adds measurement errors and increases the global uncertainty. First, a numerical model of the digitizer alongside a specific hardware system designed to perform its metrology in situ will be presented. It computes errors sources such as offset, gain and skew, and provides a measurement of the effective number of bits (ENOB) of the digitizer. The experimental characterization of the electrical chain via its transfer function measurement will also be detailed. Finally, the numerical methods deployed to handle the inverse problem, based on deconvolution processes, will be introduced, including future developments exploiting Bayesian inferences and statistical approaches.

Abstract:

The present European ARIANE space program will expand into the large ARIANE 5 launch vehicle from 1995. It is assumed that important associated missions would require the generation of 200 kWe or more in space during several years at the very beginning of the next century. For this reason, in 1983, the French C.N.E.S. (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) and C.E.A. (Commissariat a` l’Energie Atomique) have initiated preliminary studies of a space nuclear power system. The currently selected conversion system is a closed Brayton cycle. Reasons for this choice are given: high efficiency of a dynamic system; monophasic, inert working fluid; extensive turbomachinery experience, etc. A key aspect of the project is the adaptation to heat rejection conditions, namely to the radiator geometry which depends upon the dimensions of the ARIANE 5 spacecraft. In addition to usual concepts already studied for space applications, another cycle arrangement is being investigated which could offer satisfactory compromises among many considerations, increase the efficiency of the system, and make it more attractive as far as the specific mass (kg/kWe), the specific radiator area (m2/kWe), and various technological aspects are concerned. Comparative details are presented.

Within the framework of a joint program initiated in 1983 by the two French Government Agencies C.N.E.S. (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) and C.E.A. (Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique), in order to study space nuclear power systems for future ARIANE 5 applications, extensive investigations have dealt with the Brayton cycle, which has been selected as the energy conversion system. Several aspects can be mentioned in this field: matching of the power system to the available radiator dimensions up to 200 kWe, direct or indirect waste heat transfer to the radiator, the use of a recuperator, recent work on moderate (25 kWe) power levels, simulation studies related to various operating conditions, and general system optimization. A limited experimental program is starting on some crucial technology areas including a first contract to the Industry concerning the turbogenerator. Particular attention is being paid to the significance of the adoption of a Brayton cycle for space applications involving a nuclear heat source, which can be either a liquid-metal-cooled or a gas-cooled reactor. For a gas-cooled reactor, direct-cycle system, the relevance to the reactor technology and the concept for moderator thermal conditioning is particularly addressed.

Abstract:

AbstractMonoclonal antibodies targeting cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), programed cell death 1 (PD-1), or its ligand (PD-L1) have become the mainstay for advanced malignancies. The incidence of endocrine adverse events provoked by these immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) is based on data from randomized controlled trials, which have their drawbacks. PubMed was searched through August 22nd, 2017, by 2 reviewers independently (J.d.F. and C.E.A.). Early phase I/II, phase III experimental trials, prospective and retrospective observational studies were included. The weighted incidence and risk ratio were estimated for hypophysitis, primary thyroid disease, primary adrenal insufficiency, and diabetes mellitus. Their management is discussed in a systematic review. A total of 101 studies involving 19 922 patients were included. Ipilimumab-treated patients experienced hypophysitis in 5.6% (95% CI, 3.9–8.1), which was higher than nivolumab (0.5%; 95% CI, 0.2–1.2) and pembrolizumab (1.1%; 95% CI, 0.5–2.6). PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors had a higher incidence of thyroid dysfunction – particularly hypothyroidism (nivolumab, 8.0%; 95% CI, 6.4–9.8; pembrolizumab, 8.5%; 95% CI, 7.5–9.7; PD-L1, 5.5%; 95% CI, 4.4–6.8; ipilimumab, 3.8%; 95% CI, 2.6–5.5). Combination therapy was associated with a high incidence of hypothyroidism (10.2–16.4%), hyperthyroidism (9.4–10.4%), hypophysitis (8.8–10.5%), and primary adrenal insufficiency (5.2–7.6%). Diabetes mellitus and primary adrenal insufficiency were less frequent findings on monotherapy. Our meta-analysis shows a high incidence of endocrine adverse events provoked by single agent checkpoint blockade, further reinforced by combined treatment.

Tests on shaking table have been carried out on a 3D full scale infilled r.c. frame specimen (55 tons). These tests have been performed by the EMSI Laboratory of C.E.A. Saclay (France) together with a research team of the Universities of Chieti-Pescara (Italy), Roma Tre (Italy) and Patras (Greece). These tests are included in Ecoleader European research program. Many characterization tests of infill components (mortar and bricks) have been performed in the SCAM Laboratory of the University of Chieti-Pescara while tests on masonry walls were made in the laboratory of University of Rome 3. The structure represents the first floor of a two floors frame structure previously tested. The mockup is a full-scale one storey rc infilled frame with four columns, 3 meters high, with about 4 meters side square floor and infilled with double bricks wall. The main aim is to get information about the behavior of real structures. The instrumentation with about one hundred channels was set up to measure the rc frame response and the different behavior of the double walls during the tests. First, monodirectional and bidirectional tests at low seismic intensity (0.10 g and 0.15 g PGA levels) have been performed on the bare frame in order to characterize its structural characteristics and to check the design provisions. Then, the bare frame has been infilled and other tests have carried out at increasing seismic intensity in order to define its serviceability and ultimate limit states. Monodirectional and bidirectional tests up to 0.45 g PGA level were carried out. The last sequence included a monodirectional test on the infilled frame with only two walls. The high seismic input (0.55 g PGA level) was parallel to the direction of the walls. In this paper, research program and some main test results are presented.

Abstract:

AbstractIn this work the C.E.C. and its effect on the reactivity of low rank coal and chars were investigated. The C.E.C. was measured by potentiometric titration and was correlated with the solution pH, the carbonization extent and the oxygen content. Coal and chars presented permanent C.E.C. primarily derived from inorganic sites and was independent of solution pH, and variable C.E.C. derived from organic matter and was increased continuously, and reversibly, as the solution pH increased. The latter is due to the complete dissociation of the carboxylic groups of the organic matter of the coal and, thus, the C.E.C. is directly related with the oxygen content. The C.E.C. of chars decreased with the carbonization extents and its variation was described by a modified cumulative distribution function of the Weibull probability density function. A linear correlation was identified between the C.E.C. and the elemental oxygen conversion, justifying further the direct relation between the C.E.C. and the oxygen functional groups. Following the decrease of the C.E.C., the potassium chemisorption capacity of the chars also decreased. Chars of decreased C.E.C. were less reactive during CO2 gasification and reduced maximum weight loss and CO formation rates were obtained, also shifted at higher temperatures.

Sequential treatments of benomyl at 0.56 kg ai/ha or propiconazol applied 7 and 14 days after C.g.a. reduced pathogen activity on northern jointvetch.

Entre 1954 e 1969 Carlos Drummond de Andrade escreveu trêscrônicas semanais nas páginas do jornal carioca Correio da Manhã, hojedesaparecido, mas que na época era o mais importante jornal brasileiro.Uma ínfima parte dessas crônicas foi publicada em volume. Escolhidaspelo próprio autor através do critério da atemporalidade, ou da literalidade,as crônicas que hoje conhecemos de Drummond são aquelas que o autorestimou merecerem sobreviver ao tempo. Contudo não são as que hojepermitem revelar aspectos desconhecidos do poeta e que dizem respeito àsua relação com a sociedade brasileira. A leitura das crônicas do Correioda Manhã revela um autor presente e participante na vida pública daépoca. Esse Drummond, cúmplice dos leitores com quem partilha ocotidiano, merece e precisa ser resgatado.

Carbofuran (2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyl methyl-carbamate) at 0.56 kg ai/ha, propanil (3’4’-dichloropropio-anilide) at 2.2 kg ai/ha, acifluorfen {5-[2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]-2-nitrobenzoic acid} at 0.14 kg ai/ha, or fentin hydroxide (triphenyltin hydroxide) at 0.56 kg ai/ha did not reduce disease development of C.g.a. on northern jointvetch. Sequential applications of benomyl [methyl 1-(butylcarbamoyl)-2-benzimidazolecarbamate] at 0.56 kg ai/ha reduced activity of the fungus on northern jointvetch when fungicide applications began 1 week after C.g.a. application but had no effect on mycoherbicide activity when applications began 2 weeks after C.g.a.

Abstract:

Permeation of heat into the school building enclosure through external walls components of the building resulting into the numerous consequences which causes unhealthy indoor living conditions for teaching and learning activities, which has a negative impacts on the students general academic performance and their productivity, the study carried out a fieldwork experimentation where four experimental models (chambers) were built using four dissimilar compressed earth (C.E.B) configurations; compressed earth horizontal hollow brick (C.E.H.H.B), compressed earth vertical hollow brick (C.E.V.H.B), compressed earth cellular brick (C.E.C.B), and compressed earth solid brick (C.E.S.B) respectively, data were collected from fieldwork experimental chambers using two distinct wall surface temperature measuring devices; an onset UX120-M600 4-channel analogue data logger and Testo 835 Infrared thermometer which were utilized to measure the interior wall surface temperature facing the west direction of each experimental chamber to determine the rate of thermal admittance of the entire chambers built with distinct C.E.B configurations, the extracted data using surface temperature measuring instrument were analyzed using the spss software package for identification of the C.E.B configurations with the least thermal permeation from outdoor environment to indoor space of the school building via external walls of the building. After the statistical analysis, the study's outcome revealed that compressed earth horizontal hollow brick (C.E.H.H.B) has a minimum heat transfer rate of (34.933OC) and (35.7493OC), among other C.E.B configurations. This undoubtedly indicated the appropriate C.E.B configurations for school buildings in hot-dry climate regions of northwestern Nigeria.

Abstract:

São apresentados os resultados de estudos sobre o comportamento do Enterovírus-70 (EV-70) na região metropolitana de São Paulo desde sua provável introdução no verão de 1984, determinando extensa epidemia de conjuntivite hemorrágica aguda (C.H.A.), até o final de 1987 abrangendo período em que este agravo foi pouco notado. Na fase epidêmica ocorrida no primeiro trimestre de 1984 foram estudados 291 indivíduos divididos em três grupos denominados A, B e C, o primeiro formado por pessoas atingidas pela C.H.A. e os outros dois por indivíduos não atingidos por este agravo mas que, respectivamente, referiam contato domiciliar com casos de C.H.A. e os que não referiam o citado contato. A demonstração de anticorpos se fez pela técnica de imunofluorescência indireta (IFI) para detectar IgM específico para EV-70 e pela prova de neutralização em cultura de células BHK-21. Verificou-se que 56,7%, 33,3% e 20,6% dos indivíduos pertencentes, respectivamente, aos grupos A, B e C apresentavam anticorpos específicos da classe IgM. No grupo A a faixa etária mais atingida foi a de 10 a 29 anos. No período que vai do fim da primeira e única epidemia até o final de 1987, identificaram-se três casos esporádicos de C.H.A. e 10 pacientes com afecção neurológica aguda associada à infecção recente pelo EV-70. Nove, destes 10 casos, apresentaram paralisia de nervos cranianos, todos evoluindo sem seqüelas clinicamente discerníveis. As formas assintomáticas e os casos esporádicos de C.H.A. e de afecções neurológicas mantiveram a circulação do EV-70 no período não epidêmico.

Abstract:

The acaricidal potential of the crude ethanolic extract (c.e.e.) of the stem peel of Magonia pubescens was evaluated against larvae of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus. The larvae were placed in filter paper envelopes impregnated with different concentrations of c.e.e., dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and distilled water for determination of lethal concentrations (LC). The following treatments were used: 1. Envelopes of dry filter paper; 2. Envelopes of filter paper moistened with distilled water; 3. Envelopes of filter paper moistened with a solution of DMSO in distilled water; and 4. Envelopes moistened with 2 mL of each concentration of the c.e.e. to be tested. Background: In this study, we analyzed epidemiologic characteristics and morphologic differences between Asian and European population in patients with abdominal aorta aneurysm (AAA). Method: We conducted concomitant study in Japan and Europe , in 31 Asian patients (AP) with AAA and 130 control subjects of the same population, and in 30 European patients with AAA and 126 control subjects (EP). We observed various demographic and anthropologic parameters. Aortography was performed in all patients at the same type of CT-scanners using the same examination protocol and postprocessing. For data analysis, various statistical models were used. Results: There are statistically significant differences in multiple epidemiologic and morphologic findings in AAA patients, as well as in comparison with controls in both groups. This is most distinct in terms of anthropologic characteristics and number of risk-factors, and in terms of morphologic findings, in the length of neck of the aneurysm, transverse diameter of abdominal aorta (AA) and common iliac artery (c.i.a), and volumes of c.i.a. We obtained paradoxical results considering diabetes mellitus, which presented itself as a protective factor for AAA. Conclusion: Demographic-epidemiologic analysis accompanied with morphologic measurements using modern imaging modalities enables obtaining new information on pathology of AAA in different races. There are differences in number of risk-factors, and in terms of morphologic findings, in the length neck, angle of the aneurysm, transverse diameters of abdominal aorta (AA) and in the length of common iliac artery (c.i.a), and volume of c.i.a.

SCOPO:Indagare la conoscenza e la percezione riguardo la Comunicazione Aumentativa ed Alternativa in un campione di studenti del Corso di Laurea in Infermieristica (CLI) valutando l’efficacia di un intervento formativo. METODI:Studio pre-post monocentrico con arruolamento di un campione di studenti di secondo e terzo anno del CLI dell’Università degli Studi di Milano: costruzione e validazione preliminare di un questionario per rilevare le conoscenze e percezioni prima e dopo la partecipazione ad un intervento formativo. RISULTATI:Hanno partecipato 140 studenti; al T0 il 40.0% del campione conosceva la C.A.A., al T1 il 92.14%; successivamente all’intervento formativo le conoscenze del campione sono aumentate in modo statisticamente significativo (p <0.001 per tutte le domande proposte). Il questionario creato ha mostrato buone doti di validità (CVI-S = 0.93). CONCLUSIONI:Pare auspicabile indagare le modalità di utilizzo della C.A.A. anche in diversi contesti clinico-assistenziali, quantificare i professionisti effettivamente formati al suo utilizzo, indagare le conoscenze di studenti di altre professioni sanitarie e non.

Abstract:

Background: To assess the long-term outcomes and independent predictors of surgical success of a one-stage minimally invasive surgical procedure for congenital choanal atresia (C.C.A.). Methods: a retrospective multicentric study was conducted between 2010 and 2022. An endonasal endoscopic approach was performed in 38 unilateral or bilateral C.C.A. children. All the patients were clinically and radiologically assessed and followed for at least 2 years. Seven outcome measures were applied. Consequently, surgical success was correlated with all the independent variables reported. Results: 18/38 (47.36%) patients presented normal postoperative healing, 8/38 (21.05) had moderate restenosis (<50%), while 12/38 (31.57%) cases were severe (>50%), requiring a surgical revision. No statistical significance was found for average hospital stay between stenosis >50% and <50% patients (p = 0.802) and postoperative pain (p = 0.075); instead, the severe restenosis group demonstrated a higher delay of breast suction (p < 0.001). Among the independent variables predictors of surgical success, the presence of Charge syndrome and rhinopharyngeal stenosis demonstrated higher risks for surgical revision (OR: 4.00, 95% CI: 0.57–28.01, and OR: 2.75, 95% CI: 0.55–13.69, respectively). On the contrary, the hypoplastic inferior turbinate and bilateral C.C.A. showed a lower risk for severe restenosis by a higher endoscopic surgical space and creating a single larger opening (OR: 0.88, 95% CI: 0.22–3.52, and OR: 0.45, 95% CI: 0.10–2.08). Conclusion: Several independent variables could influence the surgical success after C.C.A. endoscopic repair; however, more high-quality evidence is needed to generate an effective predictive model.

Abstract:

The Special Frontier Force (S.F.F.) was raised by the Intelligence Bureau of India in the immediate aftermath of the Indo China war of 1962. Initially composed of Tibetan youths, it was known as the Establishment 22. Records indicate that it was raised by India in coordination with US intelligence Agency, the C.I.A. and with full endorsement of Washington. The force was trained by C.I.A., among other things to collect intelligence from across India’s China border with the help of electronic devices. The C.I.A. patronage was gradually withdrawn after 1964. In India, the force was commissioned to action in Chittagong Hill tracts in 1971, on the eve of Indo Pakistan War over Bangladesh issue. Later they took part in Operation Bluestar in Punjab and fought in the war of Kargil in 1999. Their activities and operations had so far been kept under total secret. Recently they were employed by the Government of India in the border faceoff with China in Ladakh in August 2020. The death of Nyima Tenzin of S.S.F. turned the spotlight on them and their sacrifice was highlighted. The importance of the S.F.F. in India’s security set up has to be understood in the context of the regional geopolitics and India’s Tibet policy. The force was raised in the era of Cold war when the C.I.A. was helping the Tibetan resistant warriors, the Chushi Gandruk, fighting from Mustang in Nepal. India, too was ready to help them even if covertly, to get back Tibet’s political status. Raising of the force gave not only a job opportunity to the Tibetan refugee youths but served their nationalist aspirations and suited India’s need of a trained mountain force post 1962 to combat China in the Himalayan region. But following the withdrawal of the C.I.A., Sino US rapprochement in the 1970s and the subsequent end of the Cold War, the priorities changed in the US and India’s policy towards China also went through several phases. The recent deterioration of relations with China has once again brought Tibetan issue to the limelight. India’s recognition of the S.F.F. actions in the war indicates how India, in order to put pressure on China is giving space to the Tibetan CTA (The Government in Exile, in India) and the Tibetans in S.F.F. The Tibetans have not been able to achieve independence but they are now being used in the political rivalry of the two regional powers.

Abstract:

India has a severe health issue with undernutrition (U.N.), particularly among the underprivileged poor tribal population. The current cross-sectional study aims to evaluate the nutritional condition of 145 adult male Jene Kurubas in Karnataka and compare the two functional anthropometric indices of Chronic Energy Deficiency (C.E.D.). C.E.D. was assessed using the B.M.I. (body mass index) and the MUAC (mid-upper-arm circumference). According to the results of the current study, chronic energy deficiency was prevalent in 53.8% of cases, and undernutrition based on MUAC < 23.0 cm was present in 48.3% of cases. According to WHO recommendations, these prevalences fall into the highly high-prevalence category (≥ 40 per cent), signifying a critical situation. The rate of C.E.D. was significantly higher (81.4%) among those with low MUAC (< 23.0 cm) than among those with a normal MUAC (≥ 23.0 cm) (18.6%). The findings of this study suggest that the Jene Kurubas tribal group was under significant dietary and nutritional stress. For surveys of the human population, particularly among indigenous people, i.e. tribes of developing countries like India, it may be more appropriate to employ mid-upper-arm circumference due to budget constraints or lack of resources and professional labour.

This paper grants some considerations on a critical phenomenon for child health: child neglect. It is an omission-type form of childhood maltreatment, which is widespread but very hard to intercept. For the assessment of child neglect, the Italian Society of Pediatric Psychology (S.I.P.Ped.) has developed and validated a specific assessment technique (the C.N.A. technique). It is supposed to be for parents of children between 3 and 9 years old. It is based on a paradigm that identifies the dysregulation of parental competence as the cause of neglect. It can occur in hypo- or hyperactivation of three fundamental factors (recognition, stimulation, and care). The child neglect assessment technique (C.N.A.) differs from the retrospective tools available in the literature since it allows for interception of the “signs” of possible child neglect when negligence occurs.

Abstract Since its emergence in 2019, SARS-CoV-2 has infected millions of people and several vaccines have been approved for clinical use worldwide. Antibodies against the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 are a critical immune determinant for protection against this virus. While virus neutralization is a key function of spike-specific antibodies, antibodies also mediate Fc-dependent activities that can play a role in protection or pathogenesis. This study compared the Fc properties and functions of anti-spike antibodies elicited by Pfizer/BioNtech or Moderna mRNA vaccines, Sputnik rAd26+rAd5 vaccines, or natural SARS-CoV-2 infection. We first examined immunoglobulin (Ig) isotypes in sera or plasma from the three groups. IgG1 antibodies against the spike protein were the predominant isotype, produced to high levels by the vast majority of the subjects in the three groups. In addition to IgG1, the mRNA vaccines also elicited IgM, IgG2-4, and IgA1-2, whereas the Sputnik vaccines induced only IgG4. Convalescent COVID-19 patients had yet a distinct set of isotypes, displaying mainly IgM and IgA1 alongside IgG1. When we examined antibody functions, spike-specific antibodies from both mRNA and Sputnik vaccine groups showed greater capacities to bind and activate complement than those from the convalescent COVID-19 patients. However, the Sputnik vaccine-induced antibodies had a greater potency of binding the ADCC-activating FcγRIIIa receptor, although the Sputnik vaccines induced lower Ig levels against spike than the mRNA vaccines. These data demonstrate that antibodies with distinct Ig isotypes/subtypes and Fc functions were elicited by different COVID-19 vaccines and by natural SARS-CoV-2 infection. The study compared different training modalities, such as high-intensity interval training versus continuous endurance training, on selected health-related physical fitness, biochemical and haematological parameters of teenage players yielding similar mechanical work and training duration. A random sampling technique was employed and affirmed by the Ethical Committee of Sichuan Province, China. Forty-five teenage sports players aging 18–19 from Sichuan Province, China, were categorized into two experimental and one control group (n = 15) subjects. The groups were allocated separately to high-intensity interval training, continuous endurance training, and control group for a three-month physical exercise program. Each group’s training intensity was set based on the resting heart rate, to assess the effects on health-related physical fitness using fitness gram variables such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and flexibility. Biochemical and haematological fasting blood samples were taken and tested at baseline and post three months of training. Detailed descriptive statistics were carried out for the interpretation of the data. All the statistical analysis was completed using the IBM SPSS 20. Paired t-test and one-way ANCOVA were used to evaluate the effect of two aerobic training methods, and to determine the exact difference between the groups, Scheffe’s post hoc test was employed. The result of the study shows that cardiovascular endurance in HIIT showed a better performance of (25.6%) than in C.E.T. (18.1%). Regarding muscular endurance, C.E.T. achieved 19.6% and HIIT 16.2%. For flexibility, HIIT improved by (6.5%) while C.E.T. (5.8%). Accordingly, the study revealed significant changes in teenage sports players’ health-related fitness, biochemical and haematological parameters.

Entre 1954 e 1969 Carlos Drummond de Andrade escreveu trêscrônicas semanais nas páginas do jornal carioca Correio da Manhã, hojedesaparecido, mas que na época era o mais importante jornal brasileiro.Uma ínfima parte dessas crônicas foi publicada em volume. Escolhidaspelo próprio autor através do critério da atemporalidade, ou da literalidade,as crônicas que hoje conhecemos de Drummond são aquelas que o autorestimou merecerem sobreviver ao tempo. Contudo não são as que hojepermitem revelar aspectos desconhecidos do poeta e que dizem respeito àsua relação com a sociedade brasileira. A leitura das crônicas do Correioda Manhã revela um autor presente e participante na vida pública daépoca. Esse Drummond, cúmplice dos leitores com quem partilha ocotidiano, merece e precisa ser resgatado.

Abstract:

En el presente trabajo se hace una revisión de las actuaciones que en materia de política forestal ha realizado la Comunidad Econdrnica Europea desde su origen. Tras una breve panorámica del bosque en la C.E.E. y de las características de la información estadística existente para esta materia, se hace un recorrido histórico por la legislación aprobada, así como por los sucesivos intentos de la Comisidn para proponer al Consejo la adopcidn de una política forestal común. Se concluye con el comentario de las disposiciones adoptadas en mayo de 1989, bajo presidencia española, sobre el Programa de Acción Forestal.
