Abstract:
Selling and buying goods with the regular social gathering system is the same as selling and buying in general. However, buying and selling with this social gathering system is a sale and purchase that is carried out when one party gets a lottery at the social gathering, only getting goods, not money. This study aims to determine the factors that cause buying and selling of goods with the regular social gathering system and how the perspective of sharia economic law on selling and buying goods with the regular social gathering system in Dulamayo Selatan Village. This research is field research with an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data collected were analyzed by qualitative descriptive. Based on the results of the research and discussion carried out, it is known: first, buying and selling goods with the regular social gathering system is carried out because it is caused by internal factors, namely the chairman of the regular social gathering gains from money, the price of goods, and discounts if someone gets a lottery by taking money, as well as other factors external, namely because there are parties who cannot afford to buy goods in the case and because Dulamayo Selatan Village is very far from urban areas. Second, buying and selling goods with the regular social gathering system in Dulamayo Selatan Village; in the view of sharia economic law is not allowed because it contains elements of usury, and the practice of the regular social gathering goods being replaced with money is also not allowed because it violates the agreement at the beginning of the sale and purchase of goods with the regular social gathering system and is detrimental to the regular social gathering members.

Abstract:
AbstractTheoretical equivalence exists among various auction mechanisms, specifically the Second-Price-Auction (SPA), a competitive environment, and the BDM mechanism, a non-competitive environment. Yet, empirical studies suggest that behavior in these mechanisms may diverge. Our experimental study examines the WTP and the WTA of individuals by analyzing buying and selling bidding patterns both for a physical product (mugs) and for two types of lotteries (regular lotteries and extreme lotteries) in these two auctions mechanism: SPA and BDM. We found that the WTP in the SPA is higher than the WTP in the BDM for mugs and for regular lotteries, while the mechanisms do not differ significantly for extreme lotteries. In addition, the WTA in the SPA is lower than in the BDM for regular lotteries only. These results indicate that the WTP and WTA, as well as the WTA-WTP gap, tend to differ in the SPA and in the BDM as a result of the interaction between the competitiveness effect and other psychological effects on bidding patterns for riskless and risky assets. In addition, the current study suggests that the competitiveness effect depends not only on the type of mechanism (SPA), but also on the type of item (physical assets or lotteries) and the type of lottery. In addition, the influence of the competitiveness effect may vary between buying and selling positions.

Abstract:
In the practice of buying and selling at the Toidiholic Store there is one system, namely a paid lottery. This is done in the sale and purchase of limited edition shoes with a large demand. The focus of this research is how Qawaid Fiqhiyah analyzes the practice of buying and selling shoes with a paid lottery system at the Toidiholic Store Bandar Lampung. This study concludes that this lottery is a lottery that is permitted by Islamic law because it is carried out solely to create a sense of justice and prevent chaos and prevent wholesale buying of shoes if sold normally or without a lottery. Although the cost of the lottery coupon is sold for Rp. 20,000, - but the fee is still within reasonable limits as a registration or administration fee for holding a lottery activity, considering that the benefit element in this lottery is greater than the harmful element.

Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a market model which is based on reputation and reinforcement learning algorithms for buying and selling agents. Three important factors: quality, price and delivery-time are considered in the model. We take into account the fact that buying agents can have different priorities on quality, price and delivery-time of their goods and selling agents adjust their bids according to buying agents preferences. Also we have assumed that multiple selling agents may offer the same goods with different qualities, prices and delivery-times. In our model, selling agents learn to maximize their expected profits by using reinforcement learning to adjust product quality, price and delivery-time. Also each selling agent models the reputation of buying agents based on their profits for that seller and uses this reputation to consider discount for reputable buying agents. Buying agents learn to model the reputation of selling agents based on different features of goods: reputation on quality, reputation on price and reputation on delivery-time to avoid interaction with disreputable selling agents. The model has been implemented with Aglet and tested in a large-sized marketplace. The results show that selling/buying agents that model the reputation of buying/selling agents obtain more satisfaction rather than selling/buying agents who only use the reinforcement learning.

Abstract:
In Islam, the concept of buying and selling must be based on values and ethics derived from the basic values of religion that uphold honesty and justice. The existence of this discussion is related to the concept of buying and selling that is prohibited in Islam including ihtikâr and siyasa al-ighraq. Ihtikâr is the practice of hoarding goods so that the goods circulating in the community are reduced, then the price rises, which the hoarder has a large profit, while the community is disadvantaged. While siyasa al-ighraq (dumping/ price dropping) is a trading activity that aims to make a profit by selling goods at a price lower than the prevailing market price and in practice can lead to unhealthy competition and can disrupt the stability of market prices. In economics, the practice of ihtikâr and siyasa al-ighraq are often carried out by business actors in seizing economic markets, this will have an impact on the economy that is causing unhealthy competition and will ultimately result in disruption of market mechanisms. Therefore, Islam forbids the perpetrators of ihtikâr and siyasa al-ighraq and they belong to the category of buying and selling that is prohibited in Islam.

Online buying and selling has become a preferred shopping alternative to the current 4.0 industrial revolution. However, the existence of online buying and selling is faced with various problems such as goods mismatches, defects in goods, and fraud, making enthusiasts enthusiastic to give an idea about sharia online buying and selling according to Islamic law based on a study of the views of online business people in the Bogor Pamijahan District community. Online buying and selling transactions can be via ATM or COD (Cash On Delivery). The most important thing in buying and selling online is the seller's credibility, quality, price of goods and transaction security. Sharia online buying and selling must also be taken into account so that the seller and buyer of the same fellow Muslims are not harmed and they are happy with each other nor it does violate the fiqh law muamalah in Islam. Islamic Law of Jurisprudence packs online buying and selling in sharia that is fulfilling harmony and terms of sale and purchase, agreement, ethics and principle of buying and selling. We show short selling in corporate bonds forecasts future bond returns. Short selling predicts bond returns where private information is more likely, in high-yield bonds, particularly after Lehman Brothers’ collapse of 2008. Short selling predicts returns following both high and low past bond returns. This, together with short selling increasing following past buying order imbalances, suggests short sellers trade against price pressures as well as trade on information. Short selling predicts bond returns both in the individual bonds that are shorted and in other bonds by the same issuer. Past stock returns and short selling in stocks predict bond returns but do not eliminate bond short selling predicting bond returns. Bond short selling does not predict the issuer’s stock returns. These results show bond short sellers contribute to efficient bond prices and that short sellers’ information flows from stocks to bonds but not from bonds to stocks.

Abstract:
Technological developments have made it easier to buy gold. Buying gold in installments or online is currently a trend and growing in Indonesia. Buying and selling transactions like this have not been explained in detail in classical fiqh. This research is a normative research with a comparative approach, namely comparing the laws of a country with the laws of one or more other countries regarding the same case. The data analysis techniques used in this article are in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study state that there are differences of opinion between the Indonesian Ulema Council and the Saudi Arabian Fatwa Institute. The Saudi Arabian fatwa institution issued a fatwa regarding the prohibition of buying and selling gold in futures, because gold is a type of usury property and contains 'illat as a unit of price or means of payment. Meanwhile, the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council stipulates a fatwa regarding the permissibility of buying and selling gold in cash or futures, because at this time, gold is no longer a price (tsaman), but gold is an ordinary merchandise or commodity. The discussion about buying and selling gold is in the realm of ijtihad, which is inseparable from differences of opinion (khilafiyah), because there is no definite text in this matter.

Along with developing the community paradigm, the methods in sharia business transactions have also experienced significant developments. For example, in Karang Mulyo Village, Sudimoro Pacitan, in the past, buying and selling cloves only happened to goods that were ready to be sold, so there was money there. Abstract:
AbstractThe sport horse industry in Great Britain is fragmented and serendipitous. However, there are many opportunities available for it to develop and grow. The research this paper is based upon was carried out in conjunction with British Breeding, to improve and develop the marketing of the British sport horse. The research was carried out through an online questionnaire (a paper version was also available) and semi-structured interviews. Both research methods contained questions aimed specifically at breeders or buyers, as well as general questions. Once the data had been collected it was analysed to discover where any trends, relationships or discrepancies existed between the groups. Recommendations were then formulated. Specifically, this paper considers the profiles of breeders and buyers of the sport horse, the reasons for breeding horses or ponies, the characteristics of horses valued by breeders and buyers and the methods of sale and purchase used. The significant difference between the horse purchase price of different categories of buyers, for example the leisure rider and professional rider, or eventers and show jumpers, are discussed. Profitability in relation to the reasons people breed horses or ponies is analysed. The definition of the sport horse is also examined. In conclusion, there is much work that needs to be completed to enable the sport horse industry in this country to be fully understood, from both the perspective of the breeder or producer and the buyer. However, there are opportunities available for the British sport horse industry to move forward.

The purpose of this study was to find out how brokers practice in buying and selling motorbikes in bone district, how the contract forms in the practice of buying and selling motorbikes in bone district, to find out the views of academics and scholars about the practice of brokers in buying and selling motorbikes in Bone Regency. The results showed that the realtor practice in buying and selling motorbikes in bone district is that the seller gives full authority to the broker to sell motorbikes because the seller does not want to bother with everything, usually the seller only wants to get a clean sale price without deducting costs. In such cases, the seller does not need to meet the buyer because everything will be dealt with by an intermediary trader. An intermediary trader (broker) is not only an intermediary and the seller can also buy and sell motorbikes. Brokers are not just intermediaries in buying and selling activities but can also be buyers because they are interested in the condition of the motorcycle, and will then be sold again so that the intermediary trader will no longer take wages from the sale transaction but will profit from motorcycle sales.

This study aims to determine the application of online and non-cash precious metal transactions from the perspective of muamalah fiqh. The results of this study indicate that first, the reason for the permissibility of buying and selling gold in cash in the opinion of Ibn Qayyim and Ibn Taimiyyah states that gold and silver are goods (sil'ah) that are sold and bought like ordinary goods, and are no longer tsaman so that it makes the result of the legal dispute in the DSN-MUI fatwa No. 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 that buying and selling gold in cash is considered permissible. In this fatwa, it is clear that buying and selling gold is legal. Second, in online and non-cash precious metal transactions according to Zaid bin Ali, the sale of an item is delayed at a price higher than the cash price, which is a form of legal and justifiable transaction as long as the transaction is based on the principle of mutual pleasure between both sides.

Abstract:
This paper develops generalized versions of the concepts of buying price, selling price, and short selling price by employing abelian groups. Such generalized pricing concepts are especially useful for the valuation of research and development (R&D) projects, which are often characterized by unquantifiable uncertainties and nonnumeric inputs and outputs, such as know-how and intellectual property. Moreover, the generalized definitions are also applicable to the valuation of other kinds of features in the decision setting, such as decision opportunities embedded in R&D projects. To motivate the use of these pricing concepts, we show that the general definitions exhibit several consistency properties. The application of the generalized price definitions to the valuation of R&D projects and decision opportunities embedded in such projects is illustrated through an example.

Buying things is an activity that has been done since the first age of humanity. People buy things to fulfill living needs, may it be primary, secondary, or tertiary needs. At first humans used barter system, where people trade an item for another things, such as service or goods. Nowadays human uses money for buying things, and today, Indonesia economic power is rising among the globe. Based on that increase, people get more income, and upgrade their lifestyle. One of the things to buy for such need is property. When it comes to property, like other things, people will look into promotion and selling price, thus the two variables has been used for this research. The goal of this research is to understand whether those two variables has impact or not to selling volume. The data used for making this research is from a property company based in Lampung. The data was taken from the company annual yearly monetary report from year 2015 to 2018. One factor to take note is that the selling price was controlled by government since the company was selling government subsidiary backed houses, therefore the only variable that the company can fully control was the promotion cost. The conclusion was that the price doesn’t affect much of the selling volume, therefore the company should focus on better promotion programs.

Abstract:
The rise of the internet has led to rapid development of online group buying, and with the various functions and analysis tools provided on the internet, consumers are making more purchases than ever before. In addition to attracting consumers to buy products or services via online shopping platforms, the industry’s online group buying market allows customers to enjoy preferential prices together. Consumers can bargain through large-scale purchases. Through quantity-based pricing, the effect of the decline on consumers’ expected price will be enhanced, and consumers will be able to purchase products at lower prices, which encourages more consumers to join group buying schemes. In terms of product cost, online shopping operations enable manufacturers to save shop setup and inventory costs, and some of these cost savings may be reflected in the selling price, which can enable customers to obtain products at lower prices. The grey decision model is used for further in-depth exploration. The purpose of this study is to use the grey correlation ranking and grey multi-attribute decision-making (TOPSIS) process to further determine the optimal shelf-time, inventory quantity, and selling price (key parameters) of commodities, in order to design a plan that makes maximum profit for the industry and provides the best service to customers.

Abstract:
This study aims to reveal monkey business practices in buying and selling transactions, with a sub-focus of research, monkey business practices in buying and selling transaction contracts, and the perspective of Islamic law on pricing of buying and selling transactions in monkey business practices. The research method or approach used is a qualitative case study approach. Collectingdata using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. In this study, the authors used qualitative data analysis, which is the analysis described by specific sentences or specific factors and concrete events, which then generalized a general conclusion. The results showed that, first: not all traders who sell booming merchandise, such as agate sellers in Ponorogo Regency, do price increases in their sale and purchase contracts. Sellers who do not practice monkey business or price tagging are in accordance with Islamic law. The sale and purchase that contains price hikes is clearly not in accordance with Islamic law, because in Islam the act of inflating prices unjustly is strictly prohibited and is included in the practice of najasy buying and selling. Second: the price fixing in the practice of buying and selling agate in Ponorogo Regency is not fair, because it is not formed through supply and demand, there is no standard price, nor is it based on quality categories and agate motifs. The findings on price fixing in monkey business on the sale and purchase of flowerhorns, aglonema, anthurium, agate, and widow bolong plants are not fair and natural, because they are not formed through supply and demand.

Abstract:
The research addressed the relevant question whether the Fourier analysis really provides practical value for investors forecasting stock market price. To answer this question, the significant cycles were discovered using the Fourier analysis inside the price series of US stocks; then, the simulation of an agent buying and selling on minima and maxima of these cycles was made. The results were then compared to those of an agent operating chaotically. Moreover, the existing significant cycles were found using more precise methods, suggested in the research, and based on the results of an agent buying and selling on all possible periods and phases. It has been analysed whether these really existing cycles were in accordance with the significant cycles resulting from the Fourier analysis. It has been concluded that the Fourier analysis basically failed. Suchlike failures are expected on similar data series. In addition, momentum and level trading backtests have been used in a similar way. It has been found that the level trading does provide a certain practical value in comparison to the momentum trading method. The research also simplifies the complicated theoretical background for practitioners.

Muamalah is God's rule that regulates human relations with humans in meeting needs either by exchanging goods or something useful. In muamalah, buying and selling is the most important activity, such as buying and selling used cosmetics. Used cosmetics are traded by students at the Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Institute. Used cosmetics come from personal property and some items that are deposited for resale. Used cosmetics are offered with several details such as price and product conditions. The main problem in this study is how the practice of buying and selling used cosmetics among students of the Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Institute and how the fiqh muamalah review of the practice of buying and selling used cosmetics. This research uses the field research method (field research). Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the text method which was sourced from the research subject, namely the sources of sellers and buyers of used cosmetics. The results showed that the practice of buying and selling used cosmetics among students of the Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Institute did not provide clear information about the product, used cosmetics were sold without product packaging boxes, and the unbalanced content of cosmetics with the prices of used cosmetics. The review of muamalah fiqh in the practice of selling used cosmetics carried out by students violates the basic principles of muamalah, namely the object being traded is not clear because it is speculative or vague, it is forbidden to be traded because used cosmetic products sold do not yet have BPOM notification and Halal label. This buying and selling should be done on the basis of attracting benefits and rejecting harm. In practice, buyers do not feel the benefits of buying used cosmetics because the contents of the cosmetics have been widely used before and the cleanliness and safety of the products are not guaranteed so that buyers get negative effects from using products such as acne, irritation, and reddened skin. For sellers, this activity is caused by the desire to sell used cosmetics to get money back and there are also those who are no longer suitable for using these cosmetic products.

Abstract:
AbstractMost companies today take an inherently adversarial approach to buying and selling in industrial markets, thereby missing out on opportunities for joint value creation with customers and suppliers. Sales as well as procurement are too obsessed with price and not enough with value. In this paper we present a set of principles that put joint value creation at the centre of the relationship with customers and suppliers. With respect to customers, the value quantification capability is the most important competency of the sales function, i.e. the ability to translate a firm’s competitive advantages into one quantified, monetary value reflecting both qualitative as well as quantitative customer benefits. With respect to suppliers, we call for the creation of new metrics, such as total value of ownership, reflecting innovation, management capabilities, sustainability, and other elements beyond quality, price, and delivery. With value quantification capabilities (sales) and total value of ownership models (procurement) the key element of relationship with both customers and suppliers is value first, then price.

Abstract:
Observing the phenomenon of the rise of online buying and selling with cash on delivery (COD) payment systems that are not following consumer satisfaction, this research aims to discuss the view of Sharia economic law in the process of online buying and selling with the COD payment system. This type of research is literature research, using qualitative descriptive methods. Its approach is through normative and empirical legal approaches in the form of case studies. The results of this study concluded that based on the propositions of the Qur'an and hadith and the opinions of fiqh scholars, basically doing business is allowed as long as there is no element of gambling, fraud, riba, gharar, and dharar. In the case of online buying and selling with the COD payment system, if the goods sold are halal, it is clear that the quality and quantity of goods are between those offered by the seller and those received by the buyer; the payment is no element of fraud and addition, except for the postage agreed at the beginning, then according to Sharia economic law, the law can (mubah). However, conversely, if the practice of buying and selling online with COD payments, there are elements of gharar (unclear goods), riba (additional price without replacement), tadlis (fraud), and dharar (danger) that have an impact on harming sellers or buyers, then the law is haram.

Abstract:
The phenomenon of buying and selling online through various features that place lower prices attracts buyers. The low price outside the normal price makes the people who see it interested in joining the program on Bukalapak's exciting attack feature. There is a lack of clarity in the terms of the contract and its implementation in the purchase of an item in the Bukalapak attack feature, it is stated that the initial contract is a sale and purchase contract but the item is drawn to get the winner of the item. So it is necessary to conduct research to discuss the analysis of the contract on this transaction. This study aims to determine the contract used for the online buying and selling transaction model of the Bukalapak attack feature. This research is qualitative in nature, with a descriptive analytical approach. This type of research is a library (library research) with the method of textbook analysis and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the pillars of buying and selling have fulfilled the elements in the sale and purchase contract. However, there are defects in the Kabul agreement, namely different payment times, the delivery of goods to buyers is not on time. The time is different because the sale and purchase agreement was originally a unidan system so buyers were randomly selected.

Abstract:
This paper examines short-selling activity focusing on its behavior during non-normal times of occasional excesses in the Korean stock market. Using the methodology explained by Brunnermeier and Pederson (2005) and Shkilko et al. (2009; 2012), we first examine whether short-selling is predatory on those event days of large price reversals. Overall there is little predatory abnormal short-selling in the pre-rebound phase and we can observe active contrarian short-selling in the post-rebound phase. When we compared aggressiveness between short-selling and non-short-selling using order imbalance variables, we found that non-short selling is much more aggressive than short selling in the Korean stock market. From the observation of market liquidity measured by quoted spreads, we could find that market liquidity is somewhat limited during price decline stages while it slightly improves during price reversal phases. Also, using dynamic panel model, we test the influences of those variables on stock price changes and disaggregate the compound effect of short-selling reflected in trading volume itself into differentiated ones not only through pure trading channel but also through other complicated channels such as market sentiment change. Main findings from the regression results are as follows : In the Korean stock market, short sellers seem to behave as a contrarian trader rather than a momentum trader; seller-initiated aggressive trading, whether it is by short-selling or non-short-selling, leads to negative order imbalance and price decline; market liquidity is limited by short-selling and further pressure on price decline is added in the pre-rebound stage; and stock prices are affected not only through pure selling (buying) channel but also through other channels in the Korean stock market.

Abstract:
The creation of ‘buying power’ through joint purchasing agreements is often seen as positive, with direct benefits for consumers in the form of lower prices. Even where joint purchasing agreements lead to the creation of a monopsonist, economic theory suggests that the welfare effects of monopsony power depend greatly on the market context, with some economists proposing that the probability of harm in cases involving monopsony power is considerably lower than in cases of a monopoly. Despite this view, section 4(1)(b) of the South African Competition Act classifies the ‘fixing of a purchase or selling price or any other trading condition’ by competitors as a per se prohibition. This implies that from a legal perspective purchasing agreements may be afforded the same draconian treatment as selling cartels. This paper considers whether this potentially punitive treatment of joint buying arrangements under section 4(1)(b) is warranted and indeed whether the equivalent treatment of joint buying and selling agreements under this section of the Act is appropriate.

Abstract:
Islamic banks in channeling funds to the public with two types, namely financing with the profit sharing system and financing with the sale and purchase system with deferred payment. Revenue sharing system is a system that includes procedures for the distribution of results of operations between the fund provider and the fund manager. The system of buying and selling with deferred payment is a system with profit margins, namely by implementing a system of buying and selling at a bank as a seller or by appointing a customer to be used as a bank agent to make purchases of goods and then selling the goods to customers at the agreed base price and profit. In practice, financing through Islamic banks does not rule out the possibility of problems, such as defaults such as the case in the Muara Enim Religious Court.
