This research explains the applications of crowdsourcing phenomena by generating an innovative business model canvas for a French-Iranian hypermarket retailer in Iran after analyzing the business models of five hypermarket companies worldwide (one Americans, one Japanese and three French hypermarkets). The following research question has been considered for this research: How retail companies can use crowdsourcing to be more innovative in order to enhance their competitive advantage?

Utifrån Canvas analysmodell, hur ser Fantastic Franks E-business ut? Hur är synen på E-business hos en liten nischad fastighetsbyrå? Syftet med denna studie är att analysera Fantastic Franks E-business genom Canvas analysmodell och analysera hur differentiering genom E-business påverkar företagets framgång. Genom intervju med ledningsgruppsrepresentant från Fantastic Frank samt med fastighetsmäklare på Fantastic Frank applicerades företagets affärsmodell på modellen Källor till värdeskapande i E-business företag. Denna metod användes för att undersökningens syfte att se hur Fantastic Frank differentierar sig genom E-business skulle kunna undersökas. Nyckelresurser, nyckelpartnerskap och nyckelaktiviteter är de viktigaste blocken inom Canvas analysmodell för Fantastic Frank, för att de ska kunna erbjuda en värdeproposition och differentiera sig. Andra fastighetsbyråer börjar erbjuda liknande tjänster med bostadsstyling och Fantastic Frank bör vidareutveckla sin tjänst. För att skapa värde bör Fantastic Frank utveckla relationer med kunder som köpt eller sålt bostad genom gemensamma intressen inom inredning/design. Fantastic Frank ser möjligheter att använda sig utav E-business för att etablera sig i storstäder runt om i världen. Om de lyckas, kommer antagligen deras nuvarande partners att se möjligheter att växa med Fantastic Frank. Företaget differentierar sig genom att inte använda sig av tidningsannonser eller andra störningsmoment på sin hemsida utan skapar hellre inspiration. How does the E-business of Fantastic Frank look like according to Business Model Canvas? How does a small and niched real estate agency perceive E-business? The purpose with this study is to analyse the E-business of Fantastic Frank real estate agency by applying it to the Business Canvas framework and analyse how differentiation through E-business affects the success of the company. By conducting an interview with representative from Fantastic Frank management as well as founder of Fantastic Frank real estate agency, and furthermore conducting an interview with one of the real estate brokers at Fantastic Frank, the business model of the company could be applied to the Value creation model by Amit and Zott (2001). The Value creation model was used in order to analyse how Fantastic Frank differentiates by their E-business. Key resources, key partnership and key activities are the most important parts within Business Model Canvas for Fantastic Frank, for the company to be able offer its value proposition and differentiate itself. Other real estate agencies have started to offer similar kinds of home styling services, and Fantastic Frank should have to consider how to further develop its service. To create value Fantastic Frank should develop relationships with customers who have used the company’s services by relating to common interests in interior/design. Fantastic Frank sees opportunities to make use of E-business to establish itself in major cities around the world. Their present partners will most likely appreciate the possibility to expand with Fantastic Frank. The company differentiates itself by not using ads and other kinds of disturbing elements on its homepage, and would rather be inspirational. With their target audience in mind during the styling session home stylings differ from each other with the result that people return to search for new homes or to get inspiration. Fantastic Frank also spreads its risks since the company can be found on many kinds of social media.

Abstract:
The convergence of mobile and social media, enabled by the ever-changing landscape of information and communication technologies and wireless technologies, has over the last decade, transformed our world into a Socio-Mobile Economy. Looking at the disruptive impact of this convergence on the global payment market, this study investigates the incentives behind different reactions and cooperation models that have been adopted by providers in the Swedish mobile payment market. The methodology of the study has been built on a combination of both theoretical and empirical bases. The theoretical base constitutes a literature review along the line of concepts such as innovation management, disruptive innovation, business model innovation, resource-based theory of the firm and the transaction cost theories, to identify existing gaps within the literature. The empirical base constitutes of qualitative in-depth interviews with three providers in the Swedish mobile payment market. The study shows three main reactions from the Swedish mobile payment providers. These providers have reacted to disrupt the disruption, attract a critical mass of customers, and to wrap their solutions with the right context. Currently, there is no cooperation between all three key input providers of a mobile payment solution, the banks, the MNOs and the card payment systems thus there are no full-integration or partial-integration models in the Swedish mobile payment market. Three cooperation models, the all-bank-centric, the MNO-centric and the light models were also identified in this market.

A organização cooperativa é uma, dentre várias, forma de se coordenar a atividade econômica. No setor agropecuário, particularmente, desempenha um papel relevante na economia de vários países, atuando como importantes players em diversos segmentos do agronegócio. A cooperativa difere de outros tipos organizacionais em grande parte devido à sua peculiar estrutura de propriedade e natureza econômica complexa, delineados por princípios históricos que fazem dela uma forma organizacional ímpar, uma simbiose entre propósitos social e o econômico. A motivação do presente trabalho é trazer ao conhecimento do leitor, ao menos em parte, as diferentes abordagens nas quais as teorias sobre o modelo de empreendimento cooperativista têm se baseado para responder questões fundamentais acerca das organizações cooperativas agropecuárias no decorrer da história, tais como: o que são cooperativas? Por que elas se formam? O que as fazem organizações únicas? Quais são as vantagens e desvantagens deste modelo organizacional frente aos demais? Enfim, no presente trabalho busca-se mostrar como a organização cooperativa, deixando questões ideológicas de lado, vem sendo estudada e debatida à luz da teoria convencional da firma e sua análise marginal e, mais recentemente, da moderna teoria das organizações formulada no âmbito da Nova Economia Institucional.
The cooperative organization is one of several means of coordinating economic activity. In the agricultural sector, notably, it plays an important role in the economy of several countries, acting as important players in a number of segments of agribusiness. The cooperative differs from other organizational types largely because of its peculiar structure of ownership and complex economic nature, outlined by historical principles that make it a unique organizational form, a symbiosis between social and economic purposes. The aim of the present work it is to bring to the reader's knowledge, at least in part, the different approaches on which theories of the cooperative model of enterprise have been based to answer fundamental questions about cooperative organizations throughout history, such as: what are cooperatives? Why do they form? What makes them unique organizations? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this organizational model with regard to others? Finally, the present paper seeks to show how the cooperative organization, ideological issues aside, has been studied and debated in the light of the conventional theory of the firm and its marginal analysis, and more recently, those covered by the modern theory of organizations formulated within the scope of the New Institutional Economics.

La présente thèse rentre dans le cadre de la gouvernance des entreprises familiales malgaches. Il s’agit d’identifier, dans le cadre malgache, les relations entre l’incertitude et le degré d’ouverture des entreprises familiales. Nous avons procédé à l’analyse des cartes cognitives idiosyncratiques de cinq dirigeants-propriétaires d’entreprises familiales.Les résultats révèlent que la prise en compte des différentes dimensions de l’incertitude en tant qu’attribut des transactions, apporte une meilleure compréhension du degré d’ouverture de ces firmes en tant que mode de gouvernance. Par ailleurs, des variables exogènes qui relèvent de l’Institution influencent le choix des modes de gouvernance. De plus, le profil de l’entrepreneur ainsi que les caractéristiques de l’entreprise ont montré leurs capacités explicatives dans la détermination des limites de la firme.En somme, le travail a débouché sur un modèle intégré de la gouvernance sur une base cognitive. Ce modèle prend en compte la perception des attributs des transactions, les institutions mises en place pour encadrer ces transactions, tout ceci dans un contexte bien déterminé
This thesis is part of the global issue of malagasy family business’ governance. Our goal is to identify, in the malagasy context, the relationship between uncertainty and the degree of openness of those companies. We proceed through the analysis of the idiosyncratic cognitive cards of five owner-directors of family owned companies.The results show that by taking into account the different dimensions of uncertainty as an attribute of the transactions, bring a better understanding of the degree of openness as a choice of governance. Moreover, exogenous variable, part of Institution, influence the governance model. In addition of that, the entrepreneurs’ profile or the characteristics of the companies have shown their explaining abilities while determining the firms’ limits.In summ, we arrive to an integrated model of governance in a cognitive basis. This model consider the attributes of transaction, the institution and the particular context of the study

There has been prior research on the internationalization process of retail firms. However, most of the research has investigated the developed countries' markets. There has been little research on the internationalization process of retail firms, especially in the emerging Asian markets. The emerging Asian markets are different from developed markets. Therefore, internationalization challenges and hindrances are dissimilar in this region than in developed countries' markets. Previously, there have been numerous researches on IKEA and other Swedish retail firms on the internationalization process. However, most of the research study has been done on its movement to developed markets. There has been little research done on IKEA's internationalization into emerging Asian markets. There are different challenges faced by firms, when entering into the emerging Asian market and during the business in these markets. However, the emerging Asian markets are different from other continents, especially the Western and developed markets. This research study aims to fill the existing knowledge gap by exploring the challenges that IKEA faces in emerging Asian markets. In addition to this, by the research, we seek to develop our understanding of the challenges faced by Swedish retail firms while entering emerging Asian markets. Furthermore, by exploring the challenges that retail firms face in the emerging Asian markets, we also aim to provide possible solutions on how IKEA and other retail firms can resolve or tackle the issues they face in emerging Asian markets.

Метою дослідження є аналіз та розробка теоретичних і практичних аспектів бізнес-лідерства в концепціях міжнародних компаній. Об’єктом дослідження є економічні відносини, що виникають між суб’єктами господарювання при реалізації різноманітних концепцій лідерства бізнесу. Предметом дослідження є бізнес-лідерство в міжнародних компаніях, його сучасні моделі та фактори успіху. Основною метою цього дослідження було дослідити вплив різних стилів керівництва (трансформаційний, трансакційний, автократичний та вільний) на результативність співробітників. Це також визначення впливу стилю керівництва на результативність співробітників і визначення різних типів стилів керівництва в організації. Важливо також визначити стиль керівництва, який покращить роботу співробітників. У дослідженні були зібрані дані з вторинних джерел. Результати показують, що стиль керівництва впливає на результативність співробітників. Керівники повинні докладати всіх зусиль, щоб підтримувати позитивні робочі відносини з членами організації, оскільки їх ставлення впливає на результативність співробітників. Нарешті, було виявлено, що участь працівників у прийнятті рішень позитивно пов’язана з їхньою продуктивністю, що призводить до підвищення продуктивності.
Целью исследования является анализ и разработка теоретических и практических аспектов бизнес-лидерства в концепциях международных компаний. Объектом исследования являются экономические отношения, возникающие между хозяйствующими субъектами при реализации различных концепций бизнес-лидерства. Предметом исследования является бизнес-лидерство в международных компаниях, его современные модели и факторы успеха. Основная цель этого исследования состояла в том, чтобы изучить влияние различных стилей лидерства (трансформационный, транзакционный, автократический и невмешательство) на производительность сотрудников. Также необходимо определить влияние стиля руководства на производительность сотрудников и определить различные типы стилей руководства в организации. Также важно определить стиль руководства, который повысит производительность сотрудников. В исследовании собраны данные из вторичных источников. Выводы показывают, что стиль руководства влияет на эффективность работы сотрудников. Лидеры должны прилагать все усилия для поддержания позитивных рабочих отношений с членами организации, поскольку их отношение влияет на производительность сотрудников. Наконец, было обнаружено, что участие рабочих в принятии решений положительно связано с их производительностью, что приводит к повышению производительности.
The aim of the study is to analyses and develop theoretical and practical aspects of business leadership in international companies’ concepts. The object of research is the economic relations that arise between business entities in the implementation of various concepts of business leadership. The subject of research is the business leadership in international companies, its modern models and success factors. The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of various leadership styles (transformational, transactional, autocratic, and laissez-faire leadership styles) on employee performance. It is also to determine the effect of leadership style on employee performance and identify the different types of leadership styles in the organization. Identifying the leadership style that will improve employee performance is also essential. The study collected data from secondary sources. The findings indicate that leadership style has an impact on employee performance. Leaders should make every effort to maintain positive working relationships with organizational members because their attitudes influence employee performance. Finally, it was discovered that workers' participation in decision-making positively connects with their performance, which leads to increased productivity.

Die Zeitschrift Electronic Transactions on Numerical Analysis (ETNA) wurde in den früheren 1990er Jahren als eines der ersten Open Access Journale in Mathematik gegründet. Herausgegeben wird die Zeitschrift vom Institute of Computational Mathematics an der Kent State University (Ohio, USA) in Zusammenarbeit mit der dortigen Universitätsbibliothek. Abweichend vom üblichen Modell über Article Processing Charges finanziert sich die Zeitschrift ausschließlich durch die Kent State University sowie gelegentliche freiwillige Beiträge von Autoren. Heute ist ETNA ein sehr erfolgreiches Journal in der angewandten Mathematik, das zeigt, dass auch nicht-kommerzielle Open Access Angebote qualitativ hochwertig funktionieren können.

Research object: the phenomenon of agribusiness. Research aim: to analyse e-agribusiness phenomenon theoretically and practically. Objectives: 1. To reveal theoretical aspects of e-business and e-agribusiness; 2. To perform empirical analysis of e-agribusiness, to execute survey in order to identify factual status of e-agribusiness in Lithuania. 3. To discuss the concept of e-agribusiness on the basis of all e-business transaction models and to substantiate the usage of internet technologies in the transactions. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of literature, logical generalization, survey and systemic analysis. Empirical study was based on logic and methodological setups of similar surveys. Abstract:
Att undersöka ledarens påverkan på privat och offentligt anställdas motivation är aktuellt med tanke på den pågående diskussionen inom svensk politik rörande privatiseringen av offentliga tjänster. Dessutom leder världens ökande globalisering, organisationers utveckling och individens förändrade arbetskultur till att uppfattningen om ledarskap och motivation är i ständig förändring. Tidigare forskning har präglats av ett stort fokus på själva ledaren, men har på senare år riktat större uppmärksamhet mot följderna av ledarskapet. Det är även utgångspunkten i denna studie, vars syfte är att förklara hur ekonomers motivation påverkas av ledarskapsstil och ledarens personlighet, modererat av sektor. Studien har ett deduktivt förhållningssätt och undersöker kvantitativt hypoteser kring ledarskapsstil, personlighet och motivation genom en enkätundersökning riktad till ekonomer. MätinstrumentenMultifactor Leadership Questionnaire, Ten-Item Personality Inventory och Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale användes för att utforma enkäten och mäta de tre huvudkomponenterna. Studien undersökte även faktorerna kön, ålder, arbetslivserfarenhet och sektortillhörighet. Resultaten av studien bekräftar tidigare forskning genom att påvisa ett starkt signifikant samband mellan såväl transformativ ledarskapsstil och inre motivation, som transaktionell ledarskapsstil och yttre motivation. Vidare fann studien ett signifikant positivt samband mellan egenskaperna Sympatiskhet, Öppenhet och Extraversion och inre motivation samt mellan egenskaperna Samvetsgrannhet och Neuroticism och yttre motivation. Studien kunde däremot inte bekräfta den effekt som sektortillhörighet väntades ha på sambanden mellan ledarskap och motivation, eftersom den modererande effekten antingen var obefintlig eller motsatt det förväntade. Det finns därmed ett behov av mer forskning på området ledarskap med fokus på sektorns effekt på den anställdas motivation.
Investigating leaders’ influence on private and public employee motivation is relevant given the ongoing discussion within Swedish politics regarding the privatization of public services. Furthermore, the world's increasing globalization, the development of organizations and the individual's changed work culture cause the perception of leadership and motivation being in constant change. Previous research has been characterized by focusing on leaders, but has in recent years focused more on the consequences of leadership. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to explain how leadership style and the leader’s personality affects economists' motivation, moderated by sector. The study has a deductive approach and quantitatively examines hypotheses about leadership style, personality and motivation through a questionnaire directed towards economists. The measuring instruments Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire, Ten-Item Personality Traits and Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale were used to design the survey and to measure the main components. The study also examined gender, age, work experience and sector affiliation. The results of the study confirm previous research by demonstrating a significant relationship between transformative leadership and internal motivation, and between transactional leadership and external motivation. Furthermore, the study found a positive correlation between the traits Openness, Agreeableness and Extraversion and internal motivation, and between the traits Conscientiousness and Neuroticism and external motivation. The study however, could not confirm the effect that sector affiliation was expected to have on the relationship between leadership and motivation, since the moderating effect was either non-existing or opposite the expected. There is therefore a need for more research in the area, with focus on the sector's effect on motivation.

This research work adopts as reference the article by Brouthers awarded as the best of the decade by Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). One of the aspects to be outlined in such text is the way Brouthers articulate a debate on institutional, cultural and transaction costs on entry mode choice by firms aiming the best performance in market. This thesis aims to investigate the actual research art involving the relationship among institutional, cultural and transaction costs aspects in international business. The discussion proposed here is justified as relevant in both academic and business environments, due to the way different authors have approached transaction costs subjects along the time. As methodological procedures, the articles were obtained in electronic databases, such as, ISI Web of Science and UMI-ProQuest. The key words were transaction cost , entry mode , cultural aspects , institutional . The selected articles were published in the period from 2002 to 2012. Articles structured in meta-analysis procedures were also selected in the referred database. All selected articles are quantitative approach, since it is an essential condition to adopt in the future meta-analytical procedures

IntroduktionSME:s är en stor bidragande roll för den svenska välfärden genom stora skatteintäkter och arbetstillfällen. Det nya Baselregelverket har de senaste åren lett till en större svårighet för SME:s att få finansiering av bankerna. Bankerna är mer restriktiva vid finansiell utlåning eftersom dem själva behöver uppfylla kraven om kapital och likviditetshantering. Samtidigt har pandemin drabbat SME:s ekonomiska ställning negativt och finansiering i form av krediter kan vara en avgörande roll för företagens överlevnad. SyfteSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur covid-19 påverkat kreditbedömningen hos kreditgivare till SME:s. MetodStudien utgår ifrån en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi med en deduktiv ansats där empirin har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. SlutsatsStudien visar på att pandemin har kommit att påverka kreditbedömningen genom att majoriteten av bankerna har större acceptans för försämrade siffror. Större vikt läggs på SME:s framtida affärsmöjligheter genom att studera branschen i stort. Vidare har långvariga kundrelationer underlättat bankernas kreditbedömning. Statliga åtgärder och regleringar har inte haft någon väsentlig påverkan på kreditbedömningen under pandemin. KunskapsbidragStudien är ett empiriskt baserat kunskapsbidrag ämnad för att öka förståelse och kunskap om pandemins effekter på kreditbedömningen till SME:s. Denna studie har även kommit att bidra till ett nytt perspektiv på forskningsområdet och att fylla det forskningsgap om brist på forskning kring kreditbedömning i svensk kontext under pandemin. Hur kreditgivarens kreditbedömning går till under pandemin är ett kunskapsbidrag för många aktörer.
Introduction SME's play a major contributing role to Swedish welfare through large tax revenues and jobs. The new Basel regulations have in recent years led to a greater difficulty for SMEs in obtaining financing from the banks. Banks are more restrictive in financial lending  because  they  need  to  meet  the  requirements  for  capital  and  liquidity management. At the same time, the pandemic has negatively affected SME's financial position and financing in the form of credit can play a crucial role in corporate survival.  Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate how covid-19 affected the credit rating of creditors to SMEs.  Method The study is based on a qualitative research strategy with a deductive approach where the empirical data has been collected through semi-structured interviews.  Conclusion The study shows that the pandemic has affected credit ratings by the majority of banks having  greater acceptance of deteriorating figures. Greater emphasis is placed on SME's future business opportunities by studying the industry as a whole. Furthermore, long-term customer relationships have facilitated the banks' credit assessment. Government measures and regulations have not had any significant impact on the credit assessment during the pandemic.  Contribution The study is an empirically based knowledge contribution intended to increase understanding and knowledge about the pandemic's effects on the credit assessment to SME's. This study has also contributed to a new perspective in the field of research and to fill the research gap on lack of research on credit assessment in the Swedish context during the pandemic. How the creditor's credit assessment is done during the pandemic is a knowledge contribution for many actors.

Durch Rahmenbedingungen wie bspw. globale Logistikstrukturen, eine hohe Artikelvielfalt und volatile Geschäftsbeziehungen zählt die Modeindustrie zu den Branchen, die für kritische Störereignisse besonders anfällig ist. In diesem Sinne untersucht die vorliegende Dissertation nach einer Beleuchtung der wesentlichen Grundlagen zunächst, inwiefern es in der Modeindustrie tatsächlich einen Bedarf an SCEM-Systemen gibt. Anknüpfend daran zeigt sie nach einer Darstellung bisheriger SCEM-Architekturkonzepte Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten für eine Systemarchitektur auf, die auf den Designprinzipien der Serviceorientierung beruht. In diesem Rahmen erfolgt u. a. auch die Identifikation SCEM-relevanter Business Services. Die Vorzüge einer serviceorientierten Gestaltung werden detailliert anhand der EPCIS (EPC Information Services)-Spezifikation illustriert. Abgerundet wird die Arbeit durch eine Betrachtung der Nutzenpotenziale von SCEM-Systemen. Nach einer Darstellung von Ansätzen, welche zur Nutzenbestimmung infrage kommen, wird der Nutzen anhand eines Praxisbeispiels aufgezeigt und fließt zusammen mit den Ergebnissen einer Literaturrecherche in eine Konsolidierung von SCEM-Nutzeffekten. Hierbei wird auch beleuchtet, welche zusätzlichen Vorteile sich für Unternehmen durch eine serviceorientierte Architekturgestaltung bieten. In der Schlussbetrachtung werden die wesentlichen Erkenntnisse der Arbeit zusammengefasst und in einem Ausblick sowohl beleuchtet, welche Relevanz die Ergebnisse der Arbeit für die Bewältigung künftiger Herausforderungen innehaben als auch welche Anknüpfungspunkte sich für anschließende Forschungsarbeiten ergeben.

The explosion of user-generated content has reshaped the media landscape, shattering the status quo of content ownership and distribution, and creating new opportunities for marketers to attach their brands to a vibrant online world. Meanwhile, consumers enjoy an ever-expanding universe of contents in which they are also the publishers. Led by the companies that started this revolution—YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Photobucket and others—more and more investors start to believe that user generated content sites can pay their way through online advertising. These sites with funding support from the venture capital might need to survive long enough to see that happen, because very few would like to compensate those enthusiastic contributors of the contents. This research will focus on the feasibility of a platform in which content generators can price their own product and lure customers to pay a a very small amount for it. And a business plan to build such a platform to make big money from the slotting and transaction fees to sustain the delivery and payment of the valuable contents. I believe that this is a better way, rather than count on advertising revenue, to make real money from the huge audiences who participate on these user-generated content sites.

This study revises the issue of that the organic fruits and vegetables are usually discarded since their bad appearances, which causes tons of waste every year. On the other hand, a series of food scandals have emerged the distrust of food suppliers, and made the organic food the rock star in the market. However, there is still no any authentic and unified certification of organic food that severely challenges the organic food suppliers. Due to the issues that mentions above, this study purposes a new pattern of sharing economies themed “Transaction platform of unselected organic fruits and vegetables”, trying to solve the problems. By giving incentives to both sides of players—the organic farmers and consumers, platform can stimulate the transactions occurred. With other value-added services provided (e.g. authentic certification, well-designed mechanism of compensation, and resources efficiently allocation), the platform also purposes to figure out how a such business platform to develop continuously by high quality, low prices, and well-organized after-sale services in unselected organic fruits and vegetables transactions. At last, this study reconstructs the system and finds out the applied scenarios and additional values by “Vision, Position, Scenario Framework” and “Value Creation Cycle”. The platform is able to achieve self-sufficient, stable operation, and Pareto-improvement that continuously creating additional value to society.

Under the fast changing environment of healthcare policies by National Health Insurance, Hospitals could not make profits by providing more healthcare services under the payment of fee for services like before. Especially, it is difficult for district hospitals to survive if they could not reduce the transaction costs and the agency costs between the patients, the Bureau of National Health Insurance, and the supplier merchant. Nowadays for the shortage of payoff system, the development of hospital has been limited. The traditional medical service is one doctor to one patient for one disease. The idea of health service has been changed to integrated health service. How do district hospitalssurvive in this circumstance? How do they change their business models in order to lower the transaction costs and promote the quality of service at the same time. District hospital must diversify their services to specialist practices, such as orthopedic specialist, cosmetic center, rehabilitation center, hemodialysis center and respiratory care center. We find the most common strategies employed to achieve win-win goal by vertical integration, strategic alliance and medical value chain management. This study presents three successful business models: orthopedic specialist hospitals, dental clinics and ophthalmology clinics. Even the small-medium size hospitals and clinics can create the best competition by providing specialist practices.

abstract: Using historical data from the third-party payment acquiring industry, I develop a statistical model to predict the probability of fraudulent transactions by the merchants. The model consists of two levels of analysis – the first focuses on fraud detection at the store level, and the second focuses on fraud detection at the merchant level by aggregating store level data to the merchant level for merchants with multiple stores. My purpose is to put the model into business operations, helping to identify fraudulent merchants at the time of transactions and thus mitigate the risk exposure of the payment acquiring businesses. The model developed in this study is distinct from existing fraud detection models in three important aspects. First, it predicts the probability of fraud at the merchant level, as opposed to at the transaction level or by the cardholders. Second, it is developed by applying machine learning algorithms and logistical regressions to all the transaction level and merchant level variables collected from real business operations, rather than relying on the experiences and analytical abilities of business experts as in the development of traditional expert systems. Third, instead of using a small sample, I develop and test the model using a huge sample that consists of over 600,000 merchants and 10 million transactions per month. I conclude this study with a discussion of the model’s possible applications in practice as well as its implications for future research.

The advance of technology and changing needs of customers have shifted the business model of the in System-Integrated industry. To consolidate clients, upstream businesses would often adopt the strategy of directly dealing with clients. Downstream businesses would respond by competing with upstream ones, a move away from their traditional collaborative model. When an industry such as this one where any segment of the industry can directly deal with clients, in order to survive and thrive, businesses must identify the major role of integrating information systems. This research employs the concept of transaction cost, and investigates the operation models of System Integration industry. The results indicate that the key factor to get Control Power lies upon information asymmetry or contact frequencies. This Control Power could either be in the upstream or downstream; when one side has that control power, the other side would need to employ horizontal integration to expand beyond one’s domain, in order to counter the effects of information asymmetry at upstream businesses or contact frequencies at downstream businesses and breakthrough their limitations. The results indicate that, in addition to the application of research results to the System Integration industry, similar principles could be applied to other industries as well, especially in situations of where marketing integration of idiosyncratic products and non-standardized items are required.

The market trend has steadily increased even though the global economics have been faced challenges by oil shock, gulf war, 911,financial crisis and near pandemic (SARS). The major international aircraft manufacturing companies such as Boeing and Airbus create supply chain among UK, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Canada and Taiwan in order to enhance their competitiveness. Taiwan aerospace industry has to compete with these developed countries. Besides, manufacturing clusters are also developed in emerging countries especially greater China region and Mexico. The aerospace industry in Taiwan requires to build up a solid business model and competitive strategy to avoid the crisis of marginalization. This study uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing (TDABC) and Transaction Cost Theory to study a leading company in Taiwan’s aerospace industry as a case study from the perspective of assets utilization efficiency, cost structure improvement and supply chain management. From the current situation analysis, evaluate and ascertain its plight and then provide a business model to (1) understand Taiwan aerospace industry marketing position, (2) accelerate business decisions and (3) strengthen the supply chain system. In the result, this study anticipates to enhance Taiwan’s marketing competitiveness in the international aerospace industry.

Transaction cost theory is the basic concept of this paper, it is adopt strategy marketing analysis as well as explicit unit utility cost, information search costs, moral hazard costs, and proprietary hold-up costs etc., four main construct to analyse the buyers’ (including distributors’ and end customers’) issue about the transaction cost in the commodity market. Using loose diamond agents in the jewelry industry as the main investigating object (sellers), to analyse the deriving transaction cost problems toward traders and online consumer buyers, together with how it effect their purchase mood, furthermore suggest a strategy and business model for loose diamond agents how they should engage in the market. This research directly separates the trading companies and the end consumers by adopting qualitative and quantitative research, in the qualitative research the currently existing trading companies carry out thorough and repeated interviews on jewelry shops that has many years of operating experience, while in the quantitative research this paper covers 166 effective samples and through this detailed empirical survey, the reader can have a better insight to the four costs of online diamond consumers. The result of the research shows that, the diamond distributors’ explicit unit utility cost including the following benefits: the loose diamonds cost price and payment terms as well as consignment and high selectivity, etc. The information search uses commodity search to quickly provide cost-based demand for the needs of existing clients. In moral hazard costs, the agents whether it has the ability to reach the previously agreed commitment, and how the proprietary hold-up costs follows the hold-up costs after its purchase. The agents to improve the jewelry distributors’ transfer costs through tacit agreement can fulfil cashback quotas and should engage in high degree of interaction. The evidence on the consumers approach toward online diamond investments, the research highlights that, purchase benefits provided on line and offline by the online diamond agents will negatively affect purchase costs, financial risks and privacy risks, but consumers acknowledged that, the degree of honesty by the online diamond agents towards proprietary hold-up costs purchases on online diamond jewelers will positively affect the mood of online diamond customers. Therefore, diamond agents must carefully adopt the provided transaction costs reducing strategies and steps, in order to deal with the transaction cost issue between the diamond distributors and online consumers.

Rapidly rising popularity attracts more and more shopping stores garrisoned on Facebook. Online stores have been sprung up like mushrooms on Facebook for the past years. What is so different between online community business model and traditional business model? How does business use the community power to innovate in their business models and gain competitive advantage in this new business community wave? In this study, we took a group-buying children's clothing store as a study case. We analyze case data through Canvas and concluded current facing problems and challenges. We furthur design a novel business model for this case through literary analysis. After verifying the feasibility of business model through VPRC model, we design and develop process for the operations of transactional community. The main contribution of this study is through a series of business model innovation and import processes to achieve four goals. First, continuously increasing the number of community members. Second, strengthening the links between shopping stores and community members. Third, increasing the sales volume to enhance community revenue. Last but not least, providing reference for other trading communities to analysis and design their own business models processes.

Sometimes you buy something with uncertain benefit. For example, you may accept a surgical operation even the doctor can not ensure the probability of success. Or you would like to buy an accident insurance, but you don’t know whether the accident will happen or not. Why? That is because human have bounded rationality. You just want to buy a “hope” for the future. When you want to buy a hope, the price doesn’t matter. The most important characteristic of transaction cost theory is that the price is meaningless for the customers. Instead, the way they do the transaction is the most important thing. As a result, I discussed the business model with the transaction cost theory. The transaction costs include the searching cost, the measurement cost, the communication cost, and the enforcement cost. The purpose of this thesis was finding out how the transaction costs influence the process of making decision. Besides, I analyzed how to decrease the transaction costs efficiently. Finally, I proposed some advises for the umbilical cord banking. This paper was one kind of qualitative research. In addition to the second-handed information, I understood customers first by the interview. After the customer interviews, I called on the umbilical cord blood banking. The main purpose was to observe how they deal with the transaction costs of customers. Then, I compared their performances by the sales amount and the quantity of consumers. We can find that once who can decrease the transaction costs effectively and efficiently, who will have better performance.

Most organisations use several data management and business intelligence solutions which are on-premise and, or cloud-based to manage and analyse their constantly growing business data. Challenges faced by organisations nowadays include, but are not limited to growth limitations, big data, inadequate analytics, computing, and data storage capabilities. Although these organisations are able to generate reports and dashboards for decision-making in most cases, effective use of their business data and an appropriate business intelligence solution could achieve and retain informed decision-making and allow competitive reaction to the dynamic external environment. A data management and analytic model has been proposed on which organisations could rely for decisive guidance when planning to procure and implement a unified business intelligence solution. To achieve a sound model, literature was reviewed by extensively studying business intelligence in general, and exploring and developing various deployment models and architectures consisting of naïve, on-premise, and cloud-based which revealed their benefits and challenges. The outcome of the literature review was the development of a hybrid business intelligence model and the accompanying architecture as the main contribution to the study.In order to assess the state of business intelligence utilisation, and to validate and improve the proposed architecture, two case studies targeting users and experts were conducted using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The case studies found and established that a decision to procure and implement a successful business intelligence solution is based on a number of crucial elements, such as, applications, devices, tools, business intelligence services, data management and infrastructure. The findings further recognised that the proposed hybrid architecture is the solution for managing complex organisations with serious data challenges.

The progress of existing information technology substantially increases the network security of transactions.Under this kind of situation it widens the Internet trading and payment mechanisms. This study tries to research how the consumers feel about the convenience, the breadth and the viewpoint of economic benefits to the electronic transactions and payment security mechanism.It will be done through collecting expert interviews, the questionnaire data and statistical analyses based on EasyCard -- currently the largest issuer of cash cards. Expecting to get the in-depth inquiry about how deep consumers will accept the electronic payment mechanism. Through expert interviews, this research will identify dimensions and items of the questionnaire and then analyses these data. Statistics showed that the safety,convenience, breadth and cost-effective of the electronic payment hugely affect users' choice. Gender makes significant differences in the part of cost-effective of the electronic payment. At the end, this study found that business models should take important factors below into consideration: 1.Use the stored value cards for transactions to avoid leakage of financial information. 2.Use the general ATM card reader (card reader certificate of natural persons) as the payment tool. 3.The "automatically added" function of cash cards.It needs to consider the convenience of value-added part. 4.Fees should be lower than the amount of ATM transferring one. After adding all above to an econometric model in electronic transactions, the business model will meet the needs of the user. The results could be an important reference to provide a business plan in the electronic payment mechanism for Internet transactions.

Abstract:
Many of the countries all over the world, with different experiences, own state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Even though these enterprises are useful socioeconomic policy instruments, evidence from most of these countries shows that these enterprises do not fulfil their mandates, especially when wholly owned, and in developing and corrupt countries. As a result, owning SOEs has become a trend rather than a means to an end. Several models, from privatisation, then back to renationalisation, have been attempted in mitigating the numerous problems of these enterprises. These models did not mitigate the problems of SOEs as they were, in summary, mere models backed by powerful advocates and favoured by the turn of socio-political and economic cycles at that time. However, irrespective of the numerous problems of SOEs, these enterprises can still be useful socioeconomic policy instruments now, as in the past. Using multiphase exploratory mixed methods, this thesis explores ways of mitigating the problems of SOEs by developing a best practice structural corporate governance model that takes into account various aspects of corporate governance of SOEs. In this context, the empirical part of this study was conducted in three phases. The first phase analyses the contents of relevant enterprises’ documents. The second phase analyses survey responses from purposively selected expert respondents from sample SOEs. The third phase analyses interviews from purposively selected expert participants from sample SOEs. Thus, this thesis determined the problems of SOEs, detailed the problem implications, identified contingent areas of the models considered vis a vis problems explored, extended the role of government, developed a conceptual framework, established useful models for organising and owning SOEs as a way of mitigating the identified problems, analysed the thesis statement and thesis propositions and developed a structural corporate governance model for SOEs. The study found that the holding company model, both wholly and partly owned, appears to be better in mitigating corporate governance problems of SOEs, compared with the traditional wholly and partly owned models, with the partly owned model of the holding company model a better model compared with the other models. Thus, this thesis harnesses the stages detailed above into contributing to the field of scholarly knowledge by harnessing the stages described into developing a structural corporate governance model that takes into account relevant aspects of corporate governance of SOEs and related enterprises. Following this, this thesis proposes that, in addition to emulating the developed model, establishing a supervisory board that constitutes representatives from public and private role players, as well as other external assurance providers and regulatory inspectors is key in mitigating problems of SOEs, especially in developing countries. This thesis contributes to the field of scholarly knowledge by synthesising disjointed literature on public entrepreneurship, developing and demonstrating a theoretical comparative sampling method, extending the role of government, theoretically developing a conceptual framework, dimensional theory, as well as developing a structural corporate governance model.

People eat whole grains who can avoid the cycle of life and death, medical care is the use of care services in everyones life. Therefore, in order to promote the peoples more appropriate quality of medical services, the Chinese government has implemented universal health insurance since the Republic of China in 1984. Since March of the Republic of China, the Taiwanese government has successively implemented medical divisions (some remote areas are not limited to this). In response to the medical prescriptions, doctors prescribed prescriptions to release, so that the community health insurance pharmacy has mushroomed, so that patients can easily obtain medicines after medical treatment, and accept the guidance of pharmacists. This study intends to use the arguments such as asset specificity and uncertainty mentioned in the transaction cost theory as the adjustment variables to explore the factors influencing the influence of major purchasers in the mode of purchasing prescription drugs by non-group drugstores. This study used the Likert five-scale scale, which was randomly selected from the community health insurance pharmacy information published by the National Federation of Chinese Pharmacists Association as a sample of the study, and the 189 valid questionnaires were used to conduct hierarchical statistics. Regression analysis to verify the relationship between variables. From the empirical findings: (1) There is a "positive" significant relationship between the human assets specificity and the self-supporting health insurance pharmacy prescription drug procurement behavior (2) A few transactions in the self-supporting health insurance pharmacy prescription drug procurement behavior there is "positive" Significant relationship (3) Payment uncertainty exists in the self-supporting health insurance pharmacy prescription drug procurement behavior; the results of this study can provide self-supporting health insurance pharmacy and prescription drug suppliers to consider the applicability of prescription drug procurement.

The purpose of this research is to identify and outline the sustainable funding models for BEE transactions in the South African mining industry. It is proposed that from the early 2000s to 2014 the sustainability of BEE funding models was driven by regulatory pressure. In the absence of regulatory pressure, there would be a need to develop alternative funding models. The study uses a quantitative research methodology by examining the frequency of use of various funding models, the impact of regulatory interventions and use of various funding sources on the sustainability of funding models, regression analysis and significance testing. The research results show that the percentage of third party finance in funding structures has a negative correlation with the success of BEE transactions. Vendor finance shows a positive correlation with the sustainability of transactions, more so above 60% in the funding structures. Equity finance has a positive impact on the success of transactions from as low as 20% in the funding structures. An ideal funding structure would consist of the following funding sources:  Third party: Vendor: Equity = 40%: 20%: 40%, in the case of a BEE company that has equity available and  Third party: Vendor = <40%: > 60%, where no equity is available to BEE entrepreneurs. In the absence of BEE laws third party finance will dominate funding of empowerment transactions. Funding models based on third party finance must rely more on cash flow based payments rather than dividend payments to service debt.

O tema deste trabalho é a liderança e a perceção que existe da mesma, seja do ponto de vista de quem a exerce, os líderes, seja sobre quem é exercida, os subordinados. A liderança é um tema em constante metamorfose desde que começou a ser notado pelos investigadores. Com a nova e excitante revolução industrial que estamos a presenciar, torna-se interessante efetuar estudos relacionados com a liderança de forma a podermos aproveitar o que poderá ser o último século em que, efetivamente, vamos exercer uma força de trabalho em grande escala. Por isso, compreender numa base mais científica aquilo que poderá ser o epíteto do relacionamento entre líderes e subordinados torna-se um tema interessante. Os objetivos desta dissertação são aferir os Estilos de Liderança presentes na empresa, através da auto perceção dos líderes e a perceção dos subordinados, comparar o modelo de Bass e Avolio com o dos resultados deste estudo e apurar qual a influência dos Estilos de Liderança ao nível da Satisfação, Eficácia e Esforço Extra na perceção dos subordinados. Para isso, será aplicado um modelo de Estilos de Liderança - Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire® (MLQ) da autoria de Bass e Avolio, a uma empresa do setor industrial. As principais conclusões apontam para uma diferenciação no que respeita à perceção de liderança entre líderes e subordinados, desigualdade entre os itens que compõem as categorias dos Estilos de Liderança do modelo e os resultados encontrados na empresa em estudo e que o estilo de Liderança Transformacional é o que produz maiores impactos na Satisfação, Eficácia e Esforço Extra.
The theme of this work is leadership and the perception that exists of the it, from the point of view of the one who exercises it, the leaders, or over whom it is exercised, the subordinates. Leadership has been a subject in constant metamorphosis since it began to be noticed by researchers. With the new and exciting industrial revolution we are witnessing, it is interesting to conduct leadership studies so that we can take advantage of what may be the last century in which we will effectively exercise a large-scale workforce. Therefore, understanding on a more scientific basis what might be the epithet for the relationship between leaders and subordinates becomes an interesting topic. The objectives of this dissertation are to assess the leadership styles present in the company through the self-perception of leaders and the perception of subordinates, to compare the Bass and Avolio model with the results of this study and to determine the influence of leadership styles at the level of satisfaction, effectiveness and extra effort in the perception of subordinates. To this end, a model of leadership styles - Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire® (MLQ) by Bass and Avolio, will be applied to a company in the industrial sector. The main conclusions point to a differentiation in the perception of leadership between leaders and subordinates, an inequality between the items that make up the categories of leadership styles of the model and the results found in the company under study and that the transformational style of leadership is the one that produces greater impacts on satisfaction, effectiveness and extra effort.
