Abstract:
Common to all commercial enterprises is the problem of violating the basics of the formation of intellectual activity. The same problem of enterprises’ intellectual activities is quite relevant from a practical point of view. One of the useful tools, the use of which makes it possible to translate the issues of intellectual activities, is the formation of a business model. In the process of the study reported here, a meaningful part of the intellectual business model of an enterprise was proposed and the corresponding concept was introduced. The main groups of indicators for assessing the level of intellectual activities of the business model of an enterprise were combined into the following clusters: qualifications (Q), skills (S), possibilities (V). The level of an enterprise's intellectual activities was assessed using an empirical and graphical method since the selected assessment indicators in their content can only accept point scores. The proposed methodology for forming a radar system to determine the format of business models for intellectual activity of trading enterprises is based on the definition of clusters of indicators to assess the level of an enterprise’s intellectual activities using an integral indicator. According to the radar system, the formats of enterprises' intellectual activities have been determined: innovative, integrated, rational, content-oriented, conducting. It was investigated that the potential for increasing the level of intellectual activity of the integrated format of the business model of an enterprise is about 14 %. The conclusion about the level of the enterprise's intellectual activities is made on the basis of determining the scale of values of expert assessments. Validation of the assessment of the level of intellectual activity of an enterprise was carried out separately for each format for all proposed clusters of assessment indicators. Based on the results of testing, recommendations have been compiled for choosing the format of a business model for the studied enterprises.

Abstract:
With the development of capital market, commercial credit has gradually become an important part of market credit. Throughout the long-term development of the manufacturing industry, commercial credit has been one of the indispensable soft powers in the process of enterprise development. Therefore, enterprises should fully recognize and use commercial credit as a new means to improve enterprise performance. This paper selects the financial data of China’s listed manufacturing enterprises from 2010 to 2019, divides commercial credit into business credit and business trust, as well as studies the relationship between commercial credit and corporate performance. The empirical results show that the business credit of manufacturing enterprises has significant positive correlation with corporate performance, but there is no significant positive correlation between business trust and corporate performance. This paper also provides effective suggestions for manufacturing enterprises to enhance commercial credit.

Abstract:
Issues of relevance and necessity of reengineering business processes of HoReCa enterprises are investigated. Significant advantages of business process reengineering are emphasized. After all, this method of redesigning activities is an effective means of significantly improving the activities of hospitality enterprises. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the content, stages and format of the organization of business process reengineering for HoReCa enterprises. The work substantiates the thesis that hospitality and catering services have always been characterized by high profitability. However, the global crisis has become a difficult test for the entire HoReCa industry. The emphasis of the work is on the fact that the reengineering of business processes is an effective measure to ensure the further effective development of HoReCa enterprises. Reengineering is the basis of a radical change in the development of enterprises, ensuring significant competitive advantages and achieving an improvement in the financial condition. The work presents the author's interpretation of the concept of «organizational support for the reengineering of business processes of a HoReCa enterprise» - this is a complex system of processes and procedures for carrying out reengineering in accordance with the set goal of radical transformations of the enterprise, which, based on the interaction of this enterprise with other business entities, as well as with the structures and divisions of the enterprise itself, contributes to the introduction of significant changes in the enterprise's management system. The article emphasizes that the reengineering of business processes is the embodiment of a complex program of transformations and fundamental restructuring of the functioning of enterprises. Its important components are: replacement of the existing management system with new effective concepts; development and implementation of improved business processes and their management methods; preliminary assessment of the acceptability of the riskiness of radical change projects. The authors emphasize that the reengineering of business processes of HoReCa enterprises is a rather complex transformation mechanism. But it is thanks to him that every enterprise in the field of hospitality is able to carry out qualitative improvement of its business processes. Abstract:
Introduction. Today Ukrainian enterprises operate under difficult economic conditions, which have developed against the background of the constant increase in the cost of raw materials, energy tariffs, changing geopolitical situation, difficult political situation in the country, which is why most of the enterprises struggle for survival instead of development. Against this background, competition with foreign producers is aggravated, accompanied by a narrowing of the domestic market.Given the complex economic conditions of Ukrainian enterprises, their success today depends on the effectiveness of management in these conditions. Businesses require a modern business process management tool designed to adapt to new challenges and find ways to mitigate the effects of external factors. The economic development of the enterprise is conditioned by the progress of information technologies, the emergence of innovative forms of management, new principles of division of labor, etc. Changes in the management of business entities now require new scientific and methodological approaches, from which the enterprise is regarded as a set of business processes. One of the modern ways of improving the business system is the attraction of external contractors, which is solved by the introduction of outsourcing and allows to increase the efficiency of the enterprise and its competitiveness in the market.Hypothesis. Assessing the readiness of an enterprise to implement outsourcing provides validity of the management decision on outsourcing of business processes and helps to increase the efficiency of utilization of the enterprise's potential. The purposeof this article is to develop a methodological approach to assessing the degree of readiness of the enterprise to implement business process outsourcing to improve the efficiency of the enterprise in the current economic environment and to strengthen its competitive position in the domestic and international markets.Research methods. The methodological basis of the research is a system of general scientific and special methods, the main of which are: dialectical approach, methods of classification and systematization, analysis and synthesis, statistical and logical analysis, concretization, expert assessments and economic and mathematical modeling.Results. A methodical approach to assessing the degree of readiness of an enterprise to use outsourcing in business process management is offered, which, unlike the existing ones, makes it possible to substantiate the outsourcing decision taking into account the existing potential of the enterprise with a greater degree of certainty.Conclusions. As a result of the research, the problem of scientific and methodological substantiation of the enterprise's readiness for implementation of business process outsourcing at the enterprise was solved. This methodological approach enables the management of a number of indicators and the appropriate scale to assess the degree of readiness – the sufficiency of the enterprise's capacity to implement outsourcing and to overcome the risks associated with it. The proposed approach enhances the effectiveness of the management decision to outsource, is versatile and can be used in the practice of any enterprise that plans or already uses outsourcing in business.

Abstract:
Under the background of today’s times, the internal and external environment of enterprises is complex and changeable. It is of great significance for the survival and development of enterprises to continuously reduce the business risks and improve the economic benefits of enterprises by adopting scientific decision-making methods. CVP (cost volume profit) analysis is a model established by sorting out variables related to business decisions in enterprise production through mathematical modeling. Based on the interpretation of cost behavior by multiple cost drivers, this paper establishes a dynamic CVP model of traditional CVP analysis, breaks through the limitations of original assumptions, and improves the application value of CVP analysis in practice. The model is applied to the business decision-making and financial management of a case enterprise, and the products with different characteristics of the enterprise are modeled and analyzed, so as to provide targeted improvement suggestions or strategies for the enterprise’s product production decision-making. The research shows that the dynamic CVP model can be used to formulate the financial management strategy to optimize the profits of enterprises, and it can achieve stable profits and development in the market competition.

Abstract:
In his 2006 State of the Nation Address, President Thabo Mbeki indicated that the regulatory environment for small businesses would be improved, as this sector plays an important role in the national strategy for accelerated and shared growth. The aim of this study is to determine whether the size of an enterprise and the sector in which the enterprise operates has an impact on how the enterprise’s tax responsibilities are administered and managed. A survey was conducted amongst small and medium enterprises in the manufacturing, retail and business services sectors in Gauteng. The study focused on Gauteng because the majority of small, medium and microenterprises (SMMEs) are located in this province. The study found that most small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the business services sector outsource their tax responsibilities because they lack the time needed to manage these functions. It was also found that the size and type of organisation affects the role taxation inputs play in business decisions. The SMEs included in the survey preferred a reduction in interest and penalties charged as a taxation relief measure.

Abstract:
In Lithuania social enterprise as a social category is formed through defined legal social enterprise criteria and their detailed requirements. This suggests that the criteria for the legal definition of a social business enterprise form the identity referents of a social enterprise as a social category. Between 2018 and 2021, seven law projects were submitted to the parliament of Lithuania that aimed to establish criteria defining social business enterprises. Study of these documents aims to identify criteria for a legal definition of Lithuanian social business enterprises that form the defining attributes of the identity of these enterprises, important for the organizational communication of the social business enterprise. The study revealed that the set of legal criteria – entrepreneurship (doing business), social goals aimed at solving social problems and activity stakeholder involvement – define social business enterprises. This exhibits that Lithuanian social business enterprises are institutionalized as hybrid organizations. The assessment of these identity referents showed that their use in the communication of the organization does not ensure the separation of the social enterprise from the subjects of the non-market subsector of the social economy. It has been observed that the exclusion of a social enterprise from other entities can be constructed by elements detailing the referents, often depending on the success of the company’s activities. This ultimately indicates shortcomings in the legal definition of social economic enterprises in Lithuania.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the features of marketing activities of enterprises related to small business Defines the criteria by which enterprises are classified in one way or another. It is noted that the use of only quantitative characteristics, such as the number of staff or turnover indicators can not fully characterize the peculiarities of small businesses. After all, a small enterprise is a specific subject of market relations, which has fundamentally new qualitative characteristics, namely: the union in one person owner and entrepreneur (and often half of the functions), focus on innovation, simplified communication and information systems, work in conditions of fierce competition. The characteristic features inherent in the marketing strategy of an enterprise of any size are identified and specific features inherent exclusively in small businesses are given. Based on the selected features, marketing strategies that can be used by small businesses are summarized. Having a well-thought-out formalized marketing strategy, its adaptation to the conditions of the enterprise, allows to use such strategic advantages of a small enterprise as flexibility, maneuverability, adaptability and reduce the dependence on big business and competition in the market. A number of obstacles that hinder the full implementation of marketing strategy in the activities of small businesses are outlined. In particular, the most important of them are: intuition of marketing activities, lack of consistency between marketing strategy and other strategies in the enterprise, the lack of a separate specialist who would deal professionally with marketing issues and interaction with the target segment. Prospects for further research in this area are outlined, taking into account the requirements of the virtual environment and the focus of the market economy on digitalization.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of directions for improving the practice of business planning in domestic industrial enterprises. The content of the concept of “business planning” is considered. Taking into account the fact that business planning combines elements of strategic and operational planning, and one of its most important tasks is to focus attention on key tasks that lead to the success of the enterprise, the development of strategic maps is proposed as a tool for improving the practical aspects of business planning, and a strategic card for PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”. The feasibility of introducing a system of compliance control of business processes at domestic enterprises using a risk-oriented approach, which aims to minimize the risk of legal and regulatory sanctions, antimonopoly prosecution, financial losses or loss of reputation as a result of the enterprise’s failure to comply with legislative acts, market standards, as well as standards and internal documents of the enterprise itself. The methodology of step-by-step integrated business planning is considered as an alternative to traditional methods of business planning. Automation (computerization) of the business planning system, which makes it possible to create several types of plans, is also proposed as a means of improving the business planning system at an industrial enterprise; standardization, which will allow optimizing the parameters of building a business planning system, unifying its excessively diverse components.

Abstract:
Unlike commercial enterprises, social enterprises are required to generate both social and economic value. Hence, the sustainability of social enterprises must be considered from a dual perspective: generating and sustaining the envisioned social impact and sustain financially over time to make the social impact continuous. Prioritising social objectives over financial endurance can be suicidal as it may jeopardise the long-term financial viability of the enterprise. Hence, both business and social impact dimensions are to be given equal weightage and incorporated into the enterprise business model, considering the frictions that may exist during their co-existence and finding ways to balance both in long term. The paper starts with an analysis of various dimensions and interpretations of social enterprises followed by a review of literature on business models. The need of innovating the conventional business models used by commercial enterprises to suit social enterprises are then discussed and a business model canvas for social enterprises is proposed, suiting the dual objectives of the enterprise. The paper concludes with the case of a social enterprise, set up for the upliftment of urban poor, to illustrate the application of the proposed social business model canvas.

Abstract:
In modern business conditions, partnership is becoming a new vector for addressing knowledge-intensive production tasks in Russian industrial enterprises. Partnerships enables enterprises to adjust to changes in the external environment more effectively. The article aims at describing the methodological approach that would allow to formulate the principles of competitive immunity management of an industrial enterprise. Such principles should be based on establishing partnerships with other enterprises and on expanding the possibilities to increase the enterprise’s adaptability by combining its resources with those of partner enterprises. It is proposed to address this task by creating a coordination board comprising representatives of partner enterprises to manage interactions between the companies. Thus, the proposed mechanism for managing an industrial enterprise’s competitive immunity ensures partnership development and enhances this enterprise’s adaptability and overall performance.

Abstract:
<p>Small businesses (those with up to 99 employees) are the most common business type in Canada – comprising 97.9 per cent of businesses, and contributing close to one-third of Canada’s gross domestic product (GDP). Yet a significant number of these businesses fail, with only about 50 per cent lasting at least five years, according to Industry Canada. Social enterprises – businesses that provide valuable products or services while delivering social and sometime environmental returns – struggle even more than small businesses to attract finance, grow, and sustain. What are the similarities and differences between these two groups’ needs, and how can Canada’s three levels of government and the broader business ecosystem better support small businesses and social enterprises to thrive? This paper takes a comprehensive look at key business needs, barriers to success, enabling factors, and policy incentives, drawing upon academic literature, studies and reports from the government, non-profit, and social enterprise sectors, as well as recommendations from business advocacy groups primarily from Canada and the United States. </p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>Small business, social enterprise, business financing, business growth, business ecosystem, procurement policy</p>

Abstract:
This paper adopts the analysis method of big data to conduct an in-depth analysis and research on the sustainable development mechanism of enterprises, firstly, combing the content and methods of enterprise business performance evaluation, defining enterprise sustainable development, and exploring the integration of enterprise sustainable development and enterprise business performance evaluation by specifically analyzing from different perspectives. Then, we analyze the industry in which the enterprise is located, its business situation, and strategy, and after analyzing the current business performance evaluation system of the enterprise, we point out its problems. The current performance evaluation system is incomplete, focuses only on economic benefits, is not long term, and does not consider the company’s strategy and stakeholders’ needs, which affects its importance and feasibility. Then, the above analysis is integrated to build a performance evaluation system consisting of four dimensions, namely, economic dimension, scientific research and innovation dimension, social dimension, and ecological dimension, from the perspective of sustainable development, and a total of 29 indicators are selected. Then, the two research tools of first value method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were combined, based on the panel data of enterprises from 2016 to 2020; the first value method was used to get the weights of each indicator in the business performance evaluation system. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to get a comprehensive evaluation score of enterprise’s business performance in 2019, and then the evaluation results were analyzed in detail and suggestions were made, which confirms that enterprises are based on the sustainable development perspective. The evaluation of business performance is necessary and important. Finally, we propose supporting safeguards, such as establishing a performance evaluation team and a monitoring mechanism, dynamically improving the enterprise performance evaluation system, establishing a sustainable corporate culture, preparing and publishing a sustainable development report, and accelerating the information construction of performance evaluation.

Abstract:
Business management is an important part of social service and governance. With the development of economy and technology, the pressure on enterprises to participate in the market competition is gradually increasing. Therefore, it is particularly important to establish an information-based business management system. However, there are still many problems in the process of informatization development of enterprise business management, which seriously restricts the comprehensive development of enterprises. On the one hand, the existing business management information system lacks effective security and supervision links. On the other hand, there is a lack of professional information technology personnel within the enterprise. Machine learning is a discipline that specializes in how to simulate human learning behavior, and it can continuously learn new knowledge structures to make itself progress and develop. The development of enterprise business management informatization is consistent with the development direction of machine learning itself. Therefore, this paper proposes a business management informatization construction method based on a machine learning algorithm, which aims to further promote the development of enterprises in the direction of informatization and modernization and improve the informatization level of enterprises. Experiments show that with the support of machine learning technology, the level of enterprise business management informatization can reach 82.31%, fully indicating that machine learning can help enterprises innovate management models and improve the level of information management of enterprises.

Micro-enterprises have a significant role in the country’s economy. However, business owners must face various problems to develop their business. One of the problems is the limited funding for micro-enterprises due to the low financial literacy of business owners. In addition, the business owner’s tolerance for risk is also expected to affect the financial management of micro-enterprises. This study aims to determine the level of financial literacy andtolerance of business owners and the financial management of micro-enterprises. This research method uses a questionnaire distributed to micro-enterprise owners in Central Java Province and Yogyakarta Special Region. The results showed that the level of financial literacy of micro-enterprise owners was in the medium category. Micro-enterprise owners have a neutral attitude towards risk and are not individuals who dare to take risks but do not avoid risk. Financial management carried out by business owners is still in the poor category. Improvement of financial literacy, understanding of risks, and financial management of micro-enterprises still need to be done.

Abstract:
A topical problem and a sought-after task is the assessment of value of the enterprise’s business and a value-oriented management of this business, which is of particular importance for diagnosing the financial condition of unprofitable enterprises, in particular debtor enterprises, at the stage of their financial sanitation and restoration of solvency. The relevance of application for unprofitable corporate enterprises of a common methodology for assessing the value of business with the help of a system of market multipliers is analyzed, which is then classified into groups, including the following: 1) earnings multipliers: «share price/earnings per share» (P/E), «price/sales – P/S», «value of business/sales» (EV/S), «value of business/profit from operating activities» (EV/Sales margin, valuates the enterprise according to the profitability of its core operations), and EV/EBITDA (estimation of the company’s total profit by all types of activities); 2) balance financial indicators: «value of business/balance value of assets» (EV/BV), «shares price/balance value of share capital» or «share price/balance value of net assets» (P/BV or P/BVE), «value of business/cost of buildings, machines and equipment on the balance sheet», or «value of business/value of non-current assets» (enterprise value/property, plant and equipment – EV/PP&E); «share price/net asset substitution value» (multiplier Q, or Tobin’s Q), «share price/net asset value», or P/NAV); 3) natural multipliers: price/volume of production, price/winning, etc. It is determined that each group of financial multipliers has advantages and disadvantages of its relevance to informativeness, and this must be taken into account when choosing multipliers for value assessment. The correctness of the choice of multipliers depends on the task of assessing the value of the share capital or the value of the business of enterprise in general. It is argued that the assessment of any enterprise or group of enterprises is a separate specific case that requires taking into account the key features of the enterprise activities. Taking into account such features, the correct choice of the multiplier and its modification is the key to obtaining a relevant assessment of the value of the enterprise. It is recommended to use a system from several multipliers for a relevant valuation of the enterprise, as well as apply several approaches to such a valuation. In case of valuation of the enterprise that is in the process of bankruptcy or systematically receives losses, the use of EV/S and EV/BV multipliers appears the most correct. To test the carried out theoretical-methodological analysis of the application of the market multipliers to valuate unprofitable enterprises, their application to valuate five unprofitable Ukrainian mines is presented, which serves as a verification of the recommendations developed in the work.

Based on the entropy weight TOPSIS method, this paper classifies the A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2020 into green enterprises and heavy pollution enterprises, and empirically studies the impact of green credit policy on enterprise investment scale and new bank loans. The results show that the green credit policy has a positive effect on the investment scale and new bank loans of green enterprises, and the hypothesis is still valid after entropy balance and many robustness tests. Secondly, the green credit policy is asymmetric, that is, the policy effect on state-owned enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises and polluted areas is stronger.

Abstract:
In the economic system, the role of State-Owned Enterprises is as an implementer of public services, distribution of resources that control the lives of many people, as pioneers/pioneers in the business sector that are not yet desirable by the private sector and as a source of state revenue. This role can be realized if the State-Owned Enterprise in its objectives can implement the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) well. But in reality, it is often difficult to face challenges faced by State-Owned Enterprises managers in implementing good governance. The intervention of State-Owned Enterprises business management with a political-bureaucratic approach that is no different from other government agencies. And at worst there are still a series of corruption cases carried out by the leadership of State-Owned Enterprises to seek personal gain. This is certainly a contradiction with State-Owned Enterprise's governance which is always published. Existing GCG implementation policies are deemed ineffective because they are not adhered to. This illustrates that business governance in ` State-Owned Enterprises itself has not been going well. Improvement in the application of good corporate governance (GCG) must be carried out immediately and the improvement of the GCG ecosystem of the State-Owned Enterprise itself must receive the attention of the government. Synergy is needed with the government's commitment to forcing State-Owned Enterprises to implement GCG in a transparent and accountable manner, with a high level of professionalism and effectiveness. Aim of research is to investigate and describe the mechanism, factors, reserves and ways to increase the profitability of enterprises of the national economy of Ukraine in the conditions of financial globalization. Methods of research. The article uses a set of methods of scientific research: statistical, historical, normative, analytical. From the methodological point of view, we note that this analysis refers to the period 2010-2017 years. Results of research. Having studied the ways to increase the profitability of enterprises in the market conditions, we can conclude that due to the lack of an effective business model for increasing the company's profitability in most of the enterprises of the national economy of Ukraine, there is a risk of shortfall in profits or even losses. It is argued that enterprises need to form an optimal business model for increasing profitability before performing financial and corporate activities in order to achieve the desired results. The problem is that many businesses use the concept of a business model and business strategy as interchangeable, which is not correct. Application of results. The results of this study can be applied in the practice of financial and economic activity of enterprises of the national economy of Ukraine. Conclusions. In order for the company to grow and profit, it is very important that it has a reliable business model as well as a competitive strategy on how to differ from competitors. It is important to combine business model analysis with strategic analysis when an enterprise develops and implements a new business model to protect the results of a transformed business model from the point of view of competitive advantage. This link involves segmentation of the market, creating value propositions for each segment, and developing a variety of "isolation mechanisms" that will help avoid simulating business models / business strategies by competitors. In order to create and maintain a competitive advantage, and thus increase the profitability of the enterprise, differentiated and difficult to immitate, at the same time effective design for the business model of the enterprise is very important.

Abstract:
The survival of indigenous private enterprises is usually threatened by the demise of their founders. While previous studies on enterprise (dis)continuity have focused largely on business failure before founders’ death, little attention is paid to why indigenous private businesses do not outlive their founders in Nigeria. This study, therefore, examined the factors accounting for post-founder business discontinuity among selected indigenous private enterprises in the South-West, Nigeria. Theory of Loss and continuity in the family firm provided the framework. The research design was exploratory, using qualitative methods of data collection. Three states (Lagos, Ogun and Oyo) were purposively selected on the basis of being home to many defunct indigenous enterprises. Case studies were done on 16 purposively selected indigenous private enterprises (eight discontinued and eight surviving) whose founders had died. The qualitative data were analysed with Nvivo 8. Findings show that disharmony in the deceased founders’ family, ineffective implementation of succession plans as well as inheritance crises emerged as the most prevalent factors that accounted for postfounder enterprise discontinuity. The study recommended that indigenous enterprise founders should make efforts to foster harmonious relationships among members of their families in order to increase enterprise survival after their death.

Abstract:
There are different attitudes towards small business definition. Basically, the laws of the countries are based on the criteria on the basis of which this or that enterprise belongs to the small business sector. However, in EU countries, small and medium enterprises are considered as small businesses and they are considered in one context. The concept of small and medium business combines number of employees, annual turnover and annual balance. The official definition of small and medium enterprises in Georgia is partially in line with EU standards. The concepts of small business and micro business are established only in terms of tax policy, while in institutional and quantitative or qualitative terms its definition is not officially definite.
