Abstract:
The second election of President Bush is the climax of twelve years of successful activity by the Republicans. Rarely before could an American president rely on a majority in both houses of the Congress. Consequently, Bush has ever since his re-election conveyed the impression that he is committed to follow the paths he had taken during his first term at home and in international affairs without any concessions. Therefore, also his new initiatives towards Europe seem to be aimed only to improve the transatlantic atmosphere but not to develop a more cooperative American foreign policy.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The article deals with one of the most frequent imagery in Alexander Kushner’s poetry — the bush. The source of the research is the whole corpus of the poet’s lyrics — from Kushner’s first poetry collections in 1960s to his latest magazine publications. In studying the semantics of the imagery we strive to employ a complex approach, using elements of comparative historical, formal and structural methods. Among Kushner’s floral imagery (the garden, the tree, the bush) it is the bush that appears the most important and ambiguous. The article demonstrates the meaning of the imagery (as A. Ariev states it, the bush is the Kushner’s “main metaphor of life”) and its agreement to Kushner’s poetics (attention to the small, the private, the day-to-day. the proportionality to the man, the publicity waive. It is shown that there is a persistent comparison of the bush and the poet’s lyrical ego. For the first time, the following functions are revealed: 1) bush as a part of the landscape, including the urban one, and as a marker of Leningrad/Saint-Petersburg space; 2) bush as a limit between the worlds: a) between the mudane life and the death; b) between the mundate life and the higher divine existence; 3) bush as a metaphor of death: the imagery of a broken, fruitless and snow-covered bush symbolises the death as an oblivion; 4) bush as a metaphor of eternal life: the imagery of a flowery bush may be used as an icon of an “eternal spring” that awaits the human beyond the limits of earthly life. In addition, Kushner’s bush is tightly connected to the whole topic of creativity, seizing of speech and divine presence (the Burning Bush). The article shows complexity, ambivalence of the imagery. Abstract:
A FLOATING bush bearing is a kind of bearing which has a thin bush floating freely between journal and fixed bush. In recent years considerable attention has been paid to the “vibration suppressing effect” of floating us bearing. It is reported that floating bush bearing are, if properly designed, effective in suppressing both resonant vibrations at the critical speed and self excited vibration call oil whip. This study deal with performance of dynamically loaded floating ring journal bearing and investigates their feasibility for two for one textile machine application. A mathematical model is developed and its analysis for performance of floating bush journal bearing with flexible shat in flexible anisotropic bearing is conducted. The potential contribution of the floating bush journal bearing design concept to reduce vibration is assessed and its compliance with current bearing durability criteria is evaluated. The result indicates that the adoption of floating bush design concept has potential for reducing power loss and vibration in two for one (TFO) textile machine bearing. It is shown that this can be accomplished without violating minimum film thickness constraints currently accepted as criteria for successful machine bearing operation.

Abstract:
HILS (Hardware-in-the Loop Simulation) vehicle simulator is one of the most effective tools to develop control subsystems for the intelligent vehicles, since expensive vehicle field tests can be replaced with virtual tests in the HILS simulator. In the HILS simulator, the software vehicle dynamics model must be solved in real-time, and it must also reproduce the real vehicle motions. Compliance effects from suspension bush elements significantly influences the vehicle behavior. In order to include such compliance effects to the vehicle model, normally the spring-damper model of the bush elements is used. However, high stiffness of the bush elements hinders real-time simulations. Thus, it is necessary to have an efficient method to include compliance effects for the real-time multibody vehicle dynamics model. In this paper, compliance model for real-time multibody vehicle dynamics is proposed using quasi-static analysis. The multibody vehicle model without bush elements is used based on the subsystem synthesis method which provides real-time computation on the multibody vehicle model. Reaction forces are computed in the suspension subsystem. According to deformation from the quasi-static analysis using reaction forces and bush stiffness, suspension hardpoint locations and suspension linkage orientation are changed. To validate the proposed method, quarter car simulations and full car bump run simulations are carried out comparing with the ADAMS vehicle model with bush elements. CPU times are also measured to see the real-time capabilities of the proposed method.

Abstract:
Based on diversity of available plant genetic resource, plant breeders can create new and improved cultivars with desirable qualities, including those favored by both farmers and breeders. However, to address upcoming global concerns relating to food and nutritional security, preserved plant genetic resources must be applied to crop enhancement. Therefore, the identification of untapped sources of genetic diversity that may be crucial for adaptation to various biotic and abiotic stresses would be made possible by the genetic and morpho-phenological characterization of landraces. In this study we evaluated 10 tea accessions by some morphological traits like number and weight of tender shoots, number and weight of normal buds, number of total leaf buds, leaf length, bush height, bush diameter, intermodal length, number of total leaves in bush and yield per bush. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed a significant differentiation among the 10 tea genotypes in all morphological traits assessed. There was a positive and significant correlation between bush yield with number and weight of tender shoots, number and weight of normal buds, number of total leaf buds, leaf length and bush height. Dendrogram formed through cluster analysis based on agro-morphological traits divided the 10 tea accessions into four main clusters. All studied tea accessions evaluated through principal component analysis were grouped into different clusters with more morphological similarities among accessions within cluster. The distribution plant genotypes into different groups revealed that the genetic diversity existed among these accessions. These findings might be a valuable resource for efforts involving breeding, preservation, and further characterization in Azerbaijan tea accessions.
