Abstract:

Total-reflection X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, abbreviated as TXRF, is known for its high sensitivity down to the low pg-level or sub-ppb level, respectively, and its wide dynamic range of about three to four orders of magnitude (Yoneda and Horiuchi, 1971, Wobrauschek and Aiginger, 1980; Knoth and Schwenke, 1978 and 1980, Aiginger and Wobrausohek, 1985, Michaelis et al., 1985, Prange, 1987). Meanwhile several laboratories have purchased commercially available TXRF spectrometers and have started to report favourable about this technique. Applications have been reported from various disciplines: These are estuarine and marine water quality management and research, air pollution studies, mineralogical investigations, biology and medicine (Prange, 1987, Prange et al, 1985; Prange and Kremling, 1985, Prange et al., 1987, Stöβel and Prange, 1985, Michaelis, 1986, Ketelsen and Knöchel, 1985, Leland et al., 1987, von Bohlen et al., 1987, Junge et al., 1983, Hentschke et al., 1985, Hentschke et al., 1985, Gerwinski and Goetz, 1987, von Bohlen et al., 1987), In spite of its close kinship to conventional EDXRF , TXRF is quite different with respect to operation and performance and provides complementary capabilities.

Abstract:

Der Beitrag beschreibt die Restaurierung eines kleinen, typischen Oberpfälzer Bauernhauses, welches in seiner ersten Bauphase um 1730 zunächst als Fachwerkbau errichtet und 1834, im Zuge seiner Erweiterung durch nachträglichen Mauerwerksbau, "versteinert" wurde. Der Richtung Norden angebaute Stadel diente bis zur Sanierung traditionell als Lager- und Arbeitsraum. Er wurde im Zuge der Sanierung komplett zurückgebaut und wieder in seinem typischen schlichten Erscheinungsbild als Holzbau errichtet. Von großer Bedeutung für die einzigartige Optik der Innenräume sind die alten Putze, die historischen Innentüren, Fachwerke sowie die hausprägenden Fenster- und Türöffnungen und Verformungen der Wände. Die bauzeitlichen Putze konnten erhalten werden, neue wurden als Kalkputz - handwerklich dem Mauerwerk folgend - aufgebracht. Die historische Balken-Bohlen-Decke wurde freigelegt und restauriert, lediglich die maroden Köpfe der Balken-Bohlen durch neues Fichtenholz ersetzt. Mit Leinöl und Kalkfarben hat man die historischen Innentüren aufgearbeitet. Für die umfassende Sanierung wurden die Bauherren mit dem Bayerischen Staatspreis 2017 für die Erhaltung der Baukultur im ländlichen Raum ausgezeichnet. Abstract:

This paper compares the Bohlen-Pierce scale to other octave and nonoctave-based tuning systems, drawing parallels between it and the widely used 12-equal temperament. These parallels lead to the hypothesis that there can be a set ofharmonic mIes applicable to the Bohlen-Pierce scale that are analogous to the CUITent musical practice. Those theorized mIes are then applied to some examples of the growing body of musical compositions wrtten in the BohlenPierce scale. Aiso included are supportive arguments for a preference of the use of odd-partial timbres in performance of this scale, which make the invention of the Bohlen-Pierce clarinet a major tuming point in the scale's development. Sorne of the musical works studied were written specifically for this author's performance on the Bohlen-Pierce clarinet.
Ce document compare la gamme Bohlen-Pierce d'autres systmes d'accord octave et non-octave-bass, tablissant des parallles entre soi et le systme la plus utilis, temprament de I2-gal. Ces parallles mnent la possibilit qu'il peut tre des rgles harmoniques applicables la gamme BohlenPierce qui sont analogues la pratique musicale courante. Ces rgles thorises sont alors appliques quelques exemples du corps croissant de compositions musicales crites la gamme Bohlen-Pierce. Abstract:

Abstract Friction damping in bolted joint connections of large space structures turned out to be a major source of damping (Gaul and Bohlen, 1987). For vibration suppression, the joints are designed such that the normal force in a frictional interface is controlled which improves damping performance. The use of active control to vary the normal contact force in a joint by means of a piezoelectric element is explored. A model consisting of two elastic beams connected by a single active joint is considered. A friction model with velocity dependent dynamics is used to describe the friction phenomena. A control law for friction dampers which maximizes energy dissipation instantaneously by controlling the normal force at the friction interface is proposed. The effect of displacement- and velocity-induced friction dynamics is considered for the design of the control law. We arrive at a dynamic controller which prevents frictional energy stored as potential energy in a bristle model from being returned to the system.

Abstract:

The rheological properties of curing process of epoxy prepreg were measured by Bohlin Rheometer. The variations of storage modulus, loss modulus and viscosity are monitored vs. the cure time and temperature. Viscosity profiles were described by different models. Except the first order viscosity models, new viscosity models based on Boltzmann function were proposed. In the new models, a parameter called critical time was introduced. Critical time is a function of temperature and also meets an Arrhenius law. The activation energy calculated by critical time closes to that obtained by initial viscosity. The kinetic rate constants in the old and new models are comparable at each temperature, and the kinetic activation energies calculated from rate constants in the old and new models are very close. The fitting results show that the proposed new viscosity models are better than the old models for both isothermal and dynamic cure processes.

The literature has identified two testable conditions on the fiscal reaction function for debt sustainability: i) a positive response of primary balances to debt (Bohn, 1995) and ii) the response of primary balances to debt should be higher than the growth adjusted interest rate (Ghosh et al., 2013). This paper revisits these conditions, both from the theoretical and empirical perspective. It introduces a new “implicit growth” measure which is the relevant one for the debt-to-GDP ratio dynamics. It also tests empirically both conditions for economies in the region. The results suggest that debt is likely sustainable in the region, although it cannot be assured at a 95 percent confidence level. A deep look at the causes of this results pointed towards fiscal fatigue, the fact that primary balances become less responsive to debt levels the higher the latter are. At post-pandemic debt levels sustainability is far from certain. The results here indicate decisive action is required to ensure debt will fall back to prudent levels.

Abstract:

The article investigates the immortality of books, collections, including those, translated into foreign languages, composed of the publications of publications of worldview journalism. It deals with top analytics on simulated training of journalists, the study of events and phenomena at the macro level, which enables the qualitative forecast of world development trends in the appropriate contexts for a long time. Key words: top, analytics, book, worldview journalism, culture, arguments, forecast.The article is characterized intellectual-spiritual, moral-aesthetic and information-educational values of of scientific and journalistic works of Professor Mykola Hryhorchuk “Where are you going, Ukraine?” and “Freedom at the Barricades”. Mykola Ivanovych’s creative informational and educational communication are reviews, reviews, reviews and current works of writers, poets, publicists. Such as Maria Matios, Vira Vovk, Roman Ivanychuk, Dmytro Pavlychko, Yuriy Shcherban, Bohdan Korsak, Hryhoriy Huseynov, Vasyl Ruban, Yaroslav Melnyk, Sofia Andrukhovych. His journalistic reflections are about memorable events of the recent past for Ukrainians and historical figures are connected with them. It is emphasized that in his books Mykola Hryhorchuk convincingly illuminates the way to develop a stable Ukrainian immunity, national identity, development and strengthening of the conciliar independent state in the fight against the eternal Moscow enemy. Among the defining ideological and political realization of the National Idea of Ukrainian statehood, which are mentioned in the scientific and journalistic works of M. Hryhorchuk, the fundamental ones – linguistic and religious – are singled out. Israel and Poland are a clear example for Ukrainians. In these states, language and religion were absolutized and it is thanks to this understanding of the essence of state-building and national identity that it is contrary to many difficulties achieve the desired life-affirming goal. The author emphasizes that any information in the broadest and narrow sense can be perceived without testing for compliance with the moral and spiritual mission of man, the fundamental values of the Ukrainian ethnic group, putting moral and spiritual values in the basis of state building. The outstanding Ukrainian philosopher Hryhoriy Skovoroda emphasized: “Faith is the light that sees in the darkness…” Books by physicist Mykola Hryhorchuk “Where are you going, Ukraine?” and “Freedom at the Barricades” are illuminated by faith in the Victory over the bloody centuries-old Moscow darkness.

Abstract:

We consider it criminal and strongly condemn the violation of the territorial integrity and borders of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. We also consider inadmissible the statements of the leadership of the Russian Federation regarding our state, interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine by denying its civilizational subjectivity and demanding the abandonment of its own path of development. With great gratitude and confidence in the victory, we turn to the defenders of Ukraine: we are together, we are convinced of the strength and steadfastness of those who defend Democracy, Freedom, and Human Values! Resistance is not just military resistance. The opposition of every citizen is not to succumb to provocations and panic, to prevent escalation of tensions, to refute fakes, to maintain clarity of thinking. A patriot is someone who invests in the development of the country and preserves its defense capabilities in a way accessible to him. For representatives of pedagogical and psychological sciences — is to maintain the national identity and unity of the nation at the level of consciousness of every citizen, territorial community, society. This is the strengthening of the subjectivity of every citizen through his awareness of Ukrainian history from the times of Kyivan Rus, Ukrainian mentality of freedom from the Cossack era, the spirit of Ukrainian democracy from the Constitution of Philip Orlyk, invincibility of the Ukrainian army from the victories of Peter Konashevych-Sahaidachnyi and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, exercise of self-awareness by Hryhorii Skovoroda and Taras Shevchenko. Scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, as always, are ready for a dialogue with anyone who finds himself in difficult life circumstances, in situations of confusion or uncertainty, who needs advice or psychological help. We all have hard work ahead of us every day. But our goal is common and high — to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. To this end, we have worked for Ukraine′s independence, we have also worked for the development of our state for the last 30 years, for this, we are mobilizing for further struggle! We will win!
