Abstract:
Snake venoms are complex cocktails of non-toxic and toxic molecules that work synergistically for the envenoming outcome. Alongside the immediate consequences, chronic manifestations and long-term sequelae can occur. Recently, extracellular vesicles (EVs) were found in snake venom. EVs mediate cellular communication through long distances, delivering proteins and nucleic acids that modulate the recipient cell’s function. However, the biological roles of snake venom EVs, including possible cross-organism communication, are still unknown. This knowledge may expand the understanding of envenoming mechanisms. In the present study, we isolated and characterized the EVs from Bothrops jararaca venom (Bj-EVs), giving insights into their biological roles. Fresh venom was submitted to differential centrifugation, resulting in two EV populations with typical morphology and size range. Several conserved EV markers and a subset of venom related EV markers, represented mainly by processing enzymes, were identified by proteomic analysis. The most abundant protein family observed in Bj-EVs was 5’-nucleotidase, known to be immunosuppressive and a low abundant and ubiquitous toxin in snake venoms. Additionally, we demonstrated that mammalian cells efficiently internalize Bj-EVs. The commercial antibothropic antivenom partially recognizes Bj-EVs and inhibits cellular EV uptake. Based on the proteomic results and the in vitro interaction assays using macrophages and muscle cells, we propose that Bj-EVs may be involved not only in venom production and processing but also in host immune modulation and long-term effects of envenoming.

Abstract:
Objectives Behavioural measures such as social distancing are crucial to prevent the spread of COVID-19. People sometimes have difficulty to comply with these behavioural measures for various reasons. Insight is needed into evidence-based strategies that can promote compliance. In the present study, we examined whether behaviour change techniques (volitional help sheet (VHS), behavioural journalism (BJ) and empathy inductions (EI)) could promote behavioural compliance with the COVID-19 measures. Methods Three online experiments were carried out (N = 424–593) among Dutch adult citizens, using a randomized 2-group post-test and 1-week follow-up design. In each experiment, a control group was compared with the experimental condition (respectively VHS, BJ or EI condition). Results Two out of the three different strategies did result in favourable changes with regard to the compliance-related measures. The VHS contributed to changes in perceived susceptibility of others (t = -2,78; f**2 = 0,019), perceived severity (t = -3,65; f**2 = 0,032) and individual behavioural compliance measures. People exposed to the VHS were more likely to receive less visitors (w = 16638; p = 0.003)and avoid crowds (w = 16631; p = 0.003). EI increased the perceived vulnerability of others. Video-based role model stories, based on BJ did not result in any changes. Conclusions Behaviour change strategies may contribute to promoting behavioural compliance and could be used in public health communication. The empathy induction can be used to enhance other protection motives, while the volitional help sheet effectively can help people to overcome compliance barriers. Behavioural science can add to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract:
Persistent Speech Disorder (PSD) is present when a speech impairment extends beyond 8–9 years of age. Persistent Speech Disorder can extend into adolescence and adulthood. While PSD can include individuals with residual speech errors, such as distortions of /r/, /s/, and /z/, clinicians are particularly concerned in cases where PSD affects speech intelligibility. This paper is presented in two parts. Part 1 reviews the limited literature available on speech, language, literacy, educational, vocational, and socio-emotional outcomes in people with PSD of currently unknown origin. Part 2 presents a case study of a 22-year-old man, known as BJ, who has Nonverbal IQ in the normal range and severe PSD, specifically Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Longitudinal data on BJ from 3;3 years to 22 years is presented, alongside BJ's insights into PSD written via e-mail or using his electronic communication device. These two sources of information add to the limited body of information about the course of PSD and the experience of PSD in an individual through to adulthood.

Abstract:
This article is dedicated to the study of the history of the Cyrillic Four Gospels BJ 941 from the manuscript section of the Department of Special Collections of the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow. The study defines that the Gospels were rewritten on a paper variety, the identification of its watermarks implies that the book was created in the last third of the 16th century. The analysis of the manuscript margins indicates that the manuscript was rewritten and purchased in Stryi, in the former Przemyśl region. The study of four gift records of the 16th and 17th centuries draws an understanding of how the manuscript has functioned and migrated at the appointed time. First, after the purchase, the codex was donated to the church of Paraskeva Piatnytsa in the Pietniczany village in the Lviv region. In 1641 the codex was gifted over to the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist in Rozhysche, Sataniv povit. Between 1649 and 1678 the Gospels were presented to the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Vinnytsia. In 1678 the book appeared in the Church of the Intercession in the village of Nekhaiky in the Cherkasy region. In the 19th century, the Gospels belonged to the private library of Stanisław Krzyżanowski, who in 1870 donated the manuscript to the Jagiellonian Library.

The first principle is an emotional appeal, which means a kind of touching da’wah communication that involves emotions, expectation and affection of the mad’u. Secondly, the da’i (preacher) should use persuasive and gently ways as well as clear and understandable languages. Thirdly, he should understand the condition of community so his da’wah could become soothing. The last principle is enabling to give strong arguments. The novel might become a medium to deliver the messages of da’wah. The novel of Habibie &amp; Ainun does not only a philological and romance novel, but also a kind of cultural, political and da’wah novel. Its feature is not only in using rhetorical language, but indeed it was also written based on personal stories including his life experiences and love story of a religious man that tremendously inspires the readers. Abstract:
Eastern Upper Galilee in the Roman period evidently housed two ethnic groups in an often hostile relationship (cf. Jos., BJ 3.35-40): in the north, a pagan population belonging to the chora of Tyre, which would have included Qedesh, and in the south a Jewish population. The two ethnic-based territories, which exhibit clear differences in their material culture, were separated by the deep ravine of Naḥal Dishon (wadi Hindaj). Other than urban temples, pagan temples, usually dated to the 2nd and 3rd c. A.D., are limited to the area north of Naḥal Dishon, while synagogues, which continued to be erected into the late-antique period, lie to its south. Qedesh lies 35 km southeast of the large metropolis of Tyre (fig. 1) across a rough mountainous area which made communication somewhat difficult.

This study concerns the process of resolving the Aceh’s conflict and the role of one of the leaders in Aceh's peace, Farid Husain. The purpose of this study is to examine and to discuss the history of the resolution of the Aceh’s conflict, and the role of Farid Husain in Aceh peace In collecting the data, this study uses historical and descriptive analytical methods. The method of data collection is through three methods, namely observation, interview and documentation study. The results showed that during the conflict in Aceh, very much effort was made by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to resolve the Aceh’s conflict, starting from the reigns of President Soekarno, Suharto, BJ, Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarno Putri, to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's Government and Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla who became the solution to the peaceful conflict in Aceh through intensive direct dialogue between facilitated by the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI). Farid Husain was one of the people involved in the Aceh peace process who played a role in opening communication with GAM leaders and working behind the scenes to supply information about Aceh and GAM in the interests of the Indonesian peace team in resolving the Aceh conflict through peaceful means. The results of the study also found that the Aceh peace process was collectively carried out by various parties, not involving one actor, one of which was Farid Husain who played the role of To See The Actor, also involving various other figures including the Acehnese leaders themselves.

Abstract:
The pandemic of COVID-19 has afflicted every individual and has initiated a cascade of directly or indirectly involved events in precipitating mental health issues. The human species is a wanderer and hunter-gatherer by nature, and physical social distancing and nationwide lockdown have confined an individual to physical isolation. The present review article was conceived to address psychosocial and other issues and their aetiology related to the current pandemic of COVID-19. The elderly age group has most suffered the wrath of SARS-CoV-2, and social isolation as a preventive measure may further induce mental health issues. Animal model studies have demonstrated an inappropriate interacting endogenous neurotransmitter milieu of dopamine, serotonin, glutamate, and opioids, induced by social isolation that could probably lead to observable phenomena of deviant psychosocial behavior. Conflicting and manipulated information related to COVID-19 on social media has also been recognized as a global threat. Psychological stress during the current pandemic in frontline health care workers, migrant workers, children, and adolescents is also a serious concern. Mental health issues in the current situation could also be induced by being quarantined, uncertainty in business, jobs, economy, hampered academic activities, increased screen time on social media, and domestic violence incidences. The gravity of mental health issues associated with the pandemic of COVID-19 should be identified at the earliest. Mental health organization dedicated to current and future pandemics should be established along with Government policies addressing psychological issues to prevent and treat mental health issues need to be developed. Abstract:
To identify, from the professionals' perspective, restrictive and driving factors for teamwork, in the Family Health Strategy. Descriptive study / qualitative approach, carried out with a Family Health Strategy team, in a municipality in the interior of Minas Gerais. Population constituted of nine professionals working in the team for at least six months, interviewed in August / 2016. Data analysis followed content analysis, thematic modality. Nine professionals participated: six community health agents, one physician, one dentist and one oral health aide. The results that emerged from the interviews were grouped by content affinity, in four thematic units, of which two referred to difficulties (restrictive factors) and two, to facilities (driving factors) for teamwork. Restrictive factors for teamwork were included in thematic units: Inadequate organization and resources and weakened interpersonal relationships. It has been shown that inadequate organization / resources and fragile interpersonal relationships restrict and limit teamwork in the Family Health Strategy. The driving factors for teamwork were gathered in thematic units: In-service training and interpersonal relationships based on appropriate collaboration and communication. It was verified that in-service training and interpersonal relationship, based on collaboration, mutual aid and communication, impelled the said teamwork. Both the restrictive and the driving factors for teamwork are linked to the conditions for carrying out the work and the relationship between team agents. The evidence found in this research can lead to advances in organizational behavior, with emphasis on management practices aimed at ensuring and supporting the effective development of the teamwork modality

The whole world is in a great danger due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In December 2019, the outbreak of COVID-19 took place in Wuhan, China and then rapidly spread all over the world. The current study provides potential expectations for the adverse impact of (COVID-19). The global infection affected globe on agricultural level such as agriculture, food supplies and animal production sectors. Till today, 29th April 2020, there is no vaccine available for treating novel coronavirus, consequently, the outbreak resulted in closing borders and reducing production following social distancing measures. This short communication illustrates the possible implications and expected outcomes of the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) on agricultural, food security, integrated pest management (IPM), animal productivity; and it predicts, as well, the possible adverse impacts on the economy worldwide. Brazil has one of the most important tropical agriculture in the world, being a leader in soybean production in the world. This chain impacts others such as meat and eggs. The impact of COVID-19 will be positive, encouraging the country to consolidate its leadership in the world market, stimulating exports, the machinery, inputs and fertilizers market, as well as generating employment and income in the country.

Abstract:
The patient’s in-hospital transport is an activity that must be performed with safety and quality and involves considerable risks, especially for surgical patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the adequacy or not of transport of surgical patients from inpatient units to surgical centers and vice-versa. The transport and patient profile, the nursing workload, the professionals and conditions involved were assessed for each patient (or transport), and subsequently the transports were evaluated as inadequate (some non-conformity) or adequate. The transport was inadequate in 39.3% of the evaluations. The most common non-conformities were the lack of knowledge of the transport at the patient’s destination, incorrect documents, patient alone during the route, and absence of health professional during transport (when necessary). In this institution and in the period evaluated, the transport was mainly run by porter. Patients in rout to inpatient units have higher frequency of inadequate transport, mainly because of lack of communication with the destination unit. The increase in workload, evaluated by the Santos Score, also increased the risk of having inappropriate transport (OR = 1.21, CI95%: 1.08-1.16), and when the patients were grouped in minimal care versus non-minimal care, the latter also showed higher risk of inadequate transport. When the transports were evaluated separately by route, patients going to surgical centers had a higher risk when the Santos Score increased (OR = 1.168, CI95%: 1.07-1.27), and patients going to inpatient units had a lower risk when the Santos Score increased (OR = 0.605, CI95%: 0.46-0.80). In the last case, patients with a high workload were also accompanied by health professionals. The presence of a health professional when the patient was going to an inpatient unit also decreased the risk of inadequate transport (OR = 0.011, CI95%: 0.002-0.070). The patient returning to their origin unit showed more transport non-conformities. Perhaps the reason is the discredit attributed to risk in these patients once the surgical problem was solved. Thus, it is a fact that the patient nursing workload and the route of the transport were effective in predicting the risk of inadequate transport, being of great potential for practical use.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan pilihan kode pada santri wanita di madrasah takhashushiyyah di Pesantren Islam Al-Mukmin Ngruki di Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sosiolinguistik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, rekaman, dan wawancara. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tuturan santri wanita di lingkungan pesantren. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode etnography communication Hymes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variasi kode yang digunakan oleh santri wanita yaitu bahasa Indonesia (BI), bahasa Inggris (B.Ing), bahasa Arab (B.Ar), bahasa Jawa (BJ), bahasa Sunda (BS), bahasa Melayu (BM), dan bahasa campur (BC) berupa alih kode dan campur kode. Signifikansi dari penelitian ini adanya gejala bilingualisme/multilingualisme melalui penggunaan bahasa Indonesia, bahasa Arab, bahasa Inggris, terbukti tidak menggeser bahasa daerah apalagi memusnahkan bahasa daerah sebagai bahasa ibu. Loyalitas yang tinggi terhadap bahasa daerah yang digunakan oleh santri wanita di lingkungan Pesantren Islam Al-Mukmin Ngruki merupakan salah satu upaya pemertahanan dan pemeliharaan identitas lokal di zaman modernitas yang penuh dengan dinamika. Kata kunci: Pilihan Kode, Santri Wanita, Pertemanan, Pesantren Abstract: The diversity of languages used by the santri community can represent a multiethnic and multilingual society. The purpose of this study to explain the choice of codes for female santri at the Takhashushiyyah Islamic Boarding School in the Al-Mukmin Ngruki Islamic Boarding School in Sukoharjo Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a sociolinguistic approach. Data collection using the method of observation, recording, and interviews. The data in this study are in the form of speeches from female students in the pesantren environment. Data were analyzed using the etnography communication Hymes method. The results of this study indicate that there are variations in the code used by female students, namely Indonesian (BI), English (B. Ing), Arabic (B.Ar), Javanese (BJ), Sundanese (BS), and Malay. (BM), and mixed language (BC) in the form of code switching and code mixing. The significance of this research shows that bilingualism / multilingualism through the use of Indonesian, Arabic and English are proven not to shift regional languages, moreover destroy local languages as mother tongues. High loyalty to the regional languages used by female santri in the Islamic boarding school Al-Mukmin Ngruki is one of the efforts to maintain and maintain local identities in modern times full of dynamics.Key words: Code choice, Female Santri, Friendship, Islamic Boarding School

Modern-day telemedicine could find its roots in the handwritten letters sent back and forth from patient to physician in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.1 In the recent decades, growth in the practice of telemedicine has been fueled by rapid advances in the field of information and communication technology.2 The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic only served to accelerate its development and utilization. With social distancing guidelines in place and community quarantine being strictly implemented, people found themselves with limited access to hospitals and clinics. Thus, many physicians have resorted to using telemedicine to provide medical care while mitigating exposure risks for both patients and medical personnel. Recognizing this, the Department of Health as well as the University of the Philippines Manila Medical Informatics Unit issued guidelines regarding the use of telemedicine.3,4 Likewise, the Philippine Dermatological Society conducted a series of webinars and published interim recommendations to help guide member dermatologists in the use of telemedicine.5 Teledermatology is defined as the use of telemedicine techniques to deliver remote dermatological services (clinical and laboratory) to patients located at a distance.2 Of the various medical specialties, dermatology is particularly well-suited to telemedicine, mainly because it is a highly visually-dependent field that relies heavily on images that may be easily captured and transmitted. Teledermatology can be carried out via asynchronous visits (i.e., store-and- forward technologies), synchronous visits (i.e., real-time audio or video teleconferencing) or a hybrid of the two. 6 Two studies on teledermatology done in the UP-PGH Department of Dermatology have been published thus far. Lansang et al. demonstrated a high agreement between face-to-face and store-and-forward teledermatology, while Carpio et al. did not find mobile teledermatology to be inferior to face-to-face consultations.7,8 There are some limitations and challenges, however, with the use of teledermatology. Virtual consultations do not allow the dermatologist to see, feel, and examine the patient's skin and lesions fully. One may also not be able to perform necessary diagnostic procedures such as biopsies or even therapeutic procedures such as surgery at the time of consult, which could translate into delayed delivery of medical care.9 Both physicians and patients may either lack access to the necessary technological devices, have difficulty using them, or encounter technological issues such as bandwidth limitations during online “visits.”10 Data privacy and security is also a major concern, especially with the use of commercial messaging platforms.11 While bills have been filed to develop and support telemedicine in the country, none of these bills have so far been passed into law.12-13 Thus, as of this writing, there is still no specific regulatory framework to guide the utilization of telemedicine in the Philippines.3,5 Although the pandemic seems to have made the world smaller by limiting our movement, teledermatology allowed us to expand our reach and see patients from distances farther than we previously could. Indeed, a whole new world of possibilities has been opened with telemedicine. Not only can it be used to improve access to clinical services and allow continuity of care, but it can also be used to provide patient education, and conduct research, among others.14 Moreover, teledermatology may provide a means to address the shortage of dermatologists in some provinces by overcoming the geographical barriers that limit access. Ultimately, the hope is that these will translate to improved access to health care and reduced costs for Filipinos. Even when the pandemic is over and the practice of dermatology shifts back to the regular mode of face-to-face consultation, I do believe that the practice of telemedicine and teledermatology will be here to stay. A well-established teledermatology system could complement conventional face-to-face dermatological consults, enhance access for those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, and supplement traditional medical care.15 Hanna E.
