Abstract:
Snake venoms are complex cocktails of non-toxic and toxic molecules that work synergistically for the envenoming outcome. Alongside the immediate consequences, chronic manifestations and long-term sequelae can occur. Recently, extracellular vesicles (EVs) were found in snake venom. EVs mediate cellular communication through long distances, delivering proteins and nucleic acids that modulate the recipient cell’s function. However, the biological roles of snake venom EVs, including possible cross-organism communication, are still unknown. This knowledge may expand the understanding of envenoming mechanisms. In the present study, we isolated and characterized the EVs from Bothrops jararaca venom (Bj-EVs), giving insights into their biological roles. Fresh venom was submitted to differential centrifugation, resulting in two EV populations with typical morphology and size range. Several conserved EV markers and a subset of venom related EV markers, represented mainly by processing enzymes, were identified by proteomic analysis. The most abundant protein family observed in Bj-EVs was 5’-nucleotidase, known to be immunosuppressive and a low abundant and ubiquitous toxin in snake venoms. Additionally, we demonstrated that mammalian cells efficiently internalize Bj-EVs. The commercial antibothropic antivenom partially recognizes Bj-EVs and inhibits cellular EV uptake. Based on the proteomic results and the in vitro interaction assays using macrophages and muscle cells, we propose that Bj-EVs may be involved not only in venom production and processing but also in host immune modulation and long-term effects of envenoming.

Abstract:
Objectives Behavioural measures such as social distancing are crucial to prevent the spread of COVID-19. People sometimes have difficulty to comply with these behavioural measures for various reasons. Insight is needed into evidence-based strategies that can promote compliance. In the present study, we examined whether behaviour change techniques (volitional help sheet (VHS), behavioural journalism (BJ) and empathy inductions (EI)) could promote behavioural compliance with the COVID-19 measures. Methods Three online experiments were carried out (N = 424–593) among Dutch adult citizens, using a randomized 2-group post-test and 1-week follow-up design. In each experiment, a control group was compared with the experimental condition (respectively VHS, BJ or EI condition). Results Two out of the three different strategies did result in favourable changes with regard to the compliance-related measures. The VHS contributed to changes in perceived susceptibility of others (t = -2,78; f**2 = 0,019), perceived severity (t = -3,65; f**2 = 0,032) and individual behavioural compliance measures. People exposed to the VHS were more likely to receive less visitors (w = 16638; p = 0.003)and avoid crowds (w = 16631; p = 0.003). EI increased the perceived vulnerability of others. Video-based role model stories, based on BJ did not result in any changes. Conclusions Behaviour change strategies may contribute to promoting behavioural compliance and could be used in public health communication. The empathy induction can be used to enhance other protection motives, while the volitional help sheet effectively can help people to overcome compliance barriers. Behavioural science can add to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract:
Persistent Speech Disorder (PSD) is present when a speech impairment extends beyond 8–9 years of age. Persistent Speech Disorder can extend into adolescence and adulthood. While PSD can include individuals with residual speech errors, such as distortions of /r/, /s/, and /z/, clinicians are particularly concerned in cases where PSD affects speech intelligibility. This paper is presented in two parts. Part 1 reviews the limited literature available on speech, language, literacy, educational, vocational, and socio-emotional outcomes in people with PSD of currently unknown origin. Part 2 presents a case study of a 22-year-old man, known as BJ, who has Nonverbal IQ in the normal range and severe PSD, specifically Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Longitudinal data on BJ from 3;3 years to 22 years is presented, alongside BJ's insights into PSD written via e-mail or using his electronic communication device. These two sources of information add to the limited body of information about the course of PSD and the experience of PSD in an individual through to adulthood.

Abstract:
This article is dedicated to the study of the history of the Cyrillic Four Gospels BJ 941 from the manuscript section of the Department of Special Collections of the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow. The study defines that the Gospels were rewritten on a paper variety, the identification of its watermarks implies that the book was created in the last third of the 16th century. The analysis of the manuscript margins indicates that the manuscript was rewritten and purchased in Stryi, in the former Przemyśl region. The study of four gift records of the 16th and 17th centuries draws an understanding of how the manuscript has functioned and migrated at the appointed time. First, after the purchase, the codex was donated to the church of Paraskeva Piatnytsa in the Pietniczany village in the Lviv region. In 1641 the codex was gifted over to the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist in Rozhysche, Sataniv povit. Between 1649 and 1678 the Gospels were presented to the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Vinnytsia. In 1678 the book appeared in the Church of the Intercession in the village of Nekhaiky in the Cherkasy region. In the 19th century, the Gospels belonged to the private library of Stanisław Krzyżanowski, who in 1870 donated the manuscript to the Jagiellonian Library.

Abstract:
Eastern Upper Galilee in the Roman period evidently housed two ethnic groups in an often hostile relationship (cf. Jos., BJ 3.35-40): in the north, a pagan population belonging to the chora of Tyre, which would have included Qedesh, and in the south a Jewish population. The two ethnic-based territories, which exhibit clear differences in their material culture, were separated by the deep ravine of Naḥal Dishon (wadi Hindaj). Other than urban temples, pagan temples, usually dated to the 2nd and 3rd c. A.D., are limited to the area north of Naḥal Dishon, while synagogues, which continued to be erected into the late-antique period, lie to its south. Qedesh lies 35 km southeast of the large metropolis of Tyre (fig. 1) across a rough mountainous area which made communication somewhat difficult.

Abstract:
The main objective of this paper is to analyze the messages that were released from Podemos' and Ciudadanos' profiles on Twitter during the period of the election campaign for the general elections of December 2015. Consequently, the theoretical approach is discussed from the perspective of political marketing, the theorizing of election campaigns and the playful theory of political communication. Consistent with the above, the 2181 tweets that constitute our sample will be analyzed through the language games as the main methodological tool, and also by the specific frame analysis as a complementary technique. In addition, we also propose to conduct semi-structured interviews in depth to see how an election campaign is managed through social media, how it is coordinated with the overall campaign and what importance do political parties give to interaction with users.

Abstract:
The study presents an overview of the production and scientific collaboration networks from professors of the courses of Library Science of Institutions of Higher Education of the State of São Paulo and the intersection between the production and scientific communication of the teachers linked only to graduate courses and those linked both to graduate and posgraduate. It was assumed that the interaction between learning and research is essential to assure a high-quality learning and that, on the Information Science, the research can't ignore the knowledge produced on the professional field, which is a main silo for new researches and the advancement of knowledge. It was considered the hypothesis that, while research in Brazil is developed mainly on the posgraduate stricto sensu, the professor from the Library Science courses not integrated to the posgraduate also develop researches, but with a focus on the professional experiences, whose locus of disclosure and discussion are the academic/professional events, that allow collaboration networks different from those provided by the forums of research discussion on the graduation and represent an important potential of knowledge production for thinking and systematization, not only from professionals, but from sharing between graduate and posgraduate teachers. It was used the Social Network Analysis methodology, along with Bibliometric techniques. The scientific production 116 active professors was collected from the Lattes Platform and implemented with information from ResearchGate and Google Academics, on an interval that comprehends the last two assessments from Capes (three-year period from 2010-2012 and four-year period from 2013-2016). The results confirm, in part, the hypothesis and show that, from the 46 teachers that are not linked to the posgraduate, eleven (23,9%) did not present any publication on the analyzed interval. This is an alarming data, considering that the changes on the workplace, with jurisdictional aspects of the professions under discussion, have placed many challenges for the information professions. The research also shows that 90,6% of the teachers from Library Science on the state of São Paulo (whether linked to the posgraduate or not) have cared about the research and presentation of scientific, academic or professional works, and they maintain collaboration networks with different authors, although the internationalization process is limited to a few institutions, mainly the Spanish ones. The research contributes to the compreension of scientific collaboration between professors of the courses of Library Science of Higher Education of the State of São Paulo, comparing the behavior of teachers integrated and not integrated to the posgraduate and enable to outsource the close connection between research activities and professional activities of Library Science, and also between learning and research in this area.

Abstract:
This research aims to understand the different practices and strategies early career researchers and PhD students from the social sciences have in Social Networking Sites (SNSs) for science communication in one particular country: Brazil. Following this purpose, the central research question is which are the motives and rationale of the researchers for using social networking sites for science communication. Two sub-questions arise from this general research question: How do practices and strategies relate to the academic system of this country? And How do the traditional science communication practices translate into the use of Social Networking Sites (SNS)? This research is empirically oriented building up on case studies in Brazil. This study makes use of the adaptation that Van Dijck (2013) made of the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) and the review of affordances of social media platforms (Bucher & Helmond, 2016) to apply it to the study of social media as the theoretical approach. The methodological approach of this research is qualitative, using both interviews and netnography as research methods. The primary motivations for using different Social Networking Sites are all related to connectivity: communication with peers, to the public and research subjects, updating themselves about their research issue, dissemination of research, availability of papers, self-branding and participation in interest groups are the most mentioned. These motivations translate into cross-posting practices and integrated communication strategies -combining online and offline elements- on the different Social Networking Sites. These motivations translate into perceived affordances all related to social affordances, therefore, social capital processes: availability, scalability, visibility and multimediality. The academic system of the country has remained unchanged as it privileges traditional scholarly academic formats; therefore, early career researchers and PhD students from the social sciences only use the different Social Networking Sites (SNS) as a side aid but not as a primary means of communication. Social media is underused as a means of public science communication, even though these platforms offer a lot of advantages for pursuing such issue. Traditional science communication practices translate into the use of Social Networking Sites (SNSs). The most important issue that came out in this report was the fact that social affordances provided by Social Networking (SNSs) are still required to be endorsed by real life meeting to start further collaboration and the fact that English is the preferred language for such issues.

Abstract:
News diffusion through search engines and other digital platforms offers to the media the opportunity to attain more readers. However, it is necessary to employ technics of the socalled Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in order to have a specific web page appeared on the prominent positions of the search results. This thesis mainly focuses on the SEO applied to cybermedia. Systematized reviews; case studies; participant observation; and semi-structured interviews were used to develop various analyses and formalize a set of methodological proposals and positioning protocols in cybermedia, that is for Google and YouTube, which are, respectively, the first and the second most frequently used search engines at the moment. In addition, this research includes, on the one hand, proposals to develop web visibility rankings in online media with SEO audit tools, and on the other hand, an analysis of the perception of the usefulness of SEO from the point of view of a specific cyber medium (Diario de Sevilla) and from the point of view of different professional profiles linked to SEO. Overall, this research presents a multifaceted edifice consisting of tools, analyses and recommendations on SEO applied to the media in general and to journalism in particular, on the assumption that SEO plays an essential role in helping the finest journalism to fulfil its social mission.

Abstract:
The present titled investigation work: PROFESSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL ones OF SECONDARY EDUCATION OF SELECTED EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE NORTH UGEL AREQUIPA 2005 whose used variable was characteristic professional. The investigation is based on opinions of educational in exercise, making reference to the activities, personal situations and the indicators of the survey that pick up several options in this investigation is the following ones: Vocation, personal Features, Domain of contents, Climate group, teaching Style, Self-esteem, Trainings. The work is related with the pedagogic activity of the educational one in activity and when being concluded the investigation work, it is evident and certain that is to these educational ones to who it should return. The objective to take into account is: To determine which the professional characteristics of the educational ones of secondary education of selected Educational Institutions of the north UGEL are Arequipa 2005. The question that is latent and we should respond it is: Which are the professional characteristics of the educational ones of secondary education that influence in the effective acting of the educational work?. is a thesis of descriptive character and, seeking to discover with the observations, do we want to determine which the characteristics of the educational ones are in these secondary education centers. Of the sought determination the outlined hypothesis was: "Since the professional characteristics of the professors are good. It is probable that these present characteristics, once well-known, help to strengthen the professional and personal capacities." The technique employee for the obtaining of the data that allows the achievement of the objective and the verification of the hypothesis was the technique and instrument adapted in function of the variables and indicators. That is the structured interview and like instrument the questionnaire for the professor. The results were: • The vocation to the teaching is condition sine qua non, it cannot be exercised the teacher freely. • The personal features of the personal ones, mainly the character, they are decisive so that an educational one is highly effective. • The domain of the contents of their subjects because it allows to the educational one to have a high professional commitment besides acting naturally and their students' healthy concern. • The educational ones have conscience that the climate positive grupal in the classroom helps to a stimulation and permanent reinforcement, to a personal treatment with the student and this way to assist the interests and necessities. • That the teaching styles have been differentiated, from the traditional pattern of teaching until the model cognoscitivism and constructivism in validity. Taking place in these changes guessed right situations, I eat for example, to assume that the educational one and the students are responsible for the process teaching-learning that professor is not mere transmitter but collaborator of the process, therefore, there is an interaction professor-student. • That the professor's self-esteem impacts positively in the student, helps him to see the life in a cooperative and solidary way. Also, of considering, misleadingly that the family atmosphere affects in the student's yield. • The permanent trainings, besides differentiating the intentions of these, they are usually admitted as necessary and valid for the upgrade in the exercise of the professional work.

Abstract:
In this work it is presented a study about the practices, perceptions and values possessed by researchers at the Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades (FFyH) of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) in relation to the mode of scientific publishing in open access (OA). This new paradigm of communication, which was supported by the international scientific community, was born with the technological advances that allow editing and electronic distribution of their articles using the Internet and also due to the major economic barriers imposed by the corporation publishers to access this type of specialized information. In order to develop this work four research centers were selected: Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios sobre Cultura y Sociedad (CIECS), Instituto de Antropología de Córdoba (IDACOR) Instituto de Humanidades (IDH) and Centro de Investigaciones de la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades (CIFFyH). All of these belong to the FFyH. Through an exploratory study and using the survey online, it was investigated dissemination practices, perception and values that these scientists give to OA publications. It was also studied the factors, difficulties and concerns about the choice of journals where they prefer to publish the result of their investigations. The use of OA journals, institutional repositories and journals portal at UNC as source of information was researched and also the reasons and motives that influence on the choice of model of publications. The use, the reasons and the choice were studied in order to determine the predispositions or resistance the FFyH researchers regarding the publication in OA. The results were analyzed and compared with other national and international studies on the subject of OA. It can be said that this work reached to similar conclusions.

Abstract:
A parallel flow solver has been developed to provide a turbomachinery flow simulation tool that extends the capabilities of a previous single–processor production code (TURBO) for unsteady turbomachinery flow analysis. The code solves the unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with a k–ε turbulence model. The parallel code now includes most features of the serial production code, but is implemented in a portable, scalable form for distributed–memory parallel computers using MPI message passing. The parallel implementation employs domain decomposition and supports general multiblock grids with arbitrary grid–block connectivity. The solution algorithm is an iterative implicit time–accurate scheme with characteristics–based finite–volume spatial discretization. The Newton subiterations are solved using a concurrent block–Jacobi symmetric Gauss–Seidel (BJ–SGS) relaxation scheme. Unsteady blade–row interaction is treated either by simulating full or periodic sectors of blade–rows, or by solving within a single passage for each row using phase–lag and wake–blade interaction approximations at boundaries. A scalable dynamic sliding–interface algorithm is developed here, with an efficient parallel data communication between blade rows in relative motion. Parallel computations are given here for flat plate, single blade row (Rotor 67) and single stage (Stage 37) test cases, and these results are validated by comparison with corresponding results from the previously validated serial production code. Good speedup performance is demonstrated for the single–stage case with a relatively small grid of 600,000 points.
