Abstract:

This document annotates 23 unaccompanied alto saxophone compositions, including original works and transcriptions. Selection of these pieces was based on the following criteria: (1) works which are commonly performed, (2) works by major composers, and (3) works which are important in terms of innovative performance techniques. Each annotation provides a synopsis of the composition, biographical information about the composer, pertinent information about the composition (dedication, duration, etc.), discussion about various performance considerations, a brief analysis, and concluding statements about the work including a qualitative assessment. Compositions annotated in the document include: Caprice en forme de valse by Paul Bonneau, Mai/ by Ryo Noda, Sonate by Jeanine Rueff, Suite Francais by Pierre Max Dubois, and the Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1 by J. S. Bach arr. Londeix, and arr. Ricker (both editions are discussed). At the conclusion of the document, a bibliography of approximately 300 unaccompanied compositions for the alto saxophone (including commonly performed transcriptions) is listed, providing the title, composer, and publisher (if available).

Abstract:

Every scientific research begins with a literature review that includes an extensive bibliographic search. Such searches are known to be difficult and time-consuming because of the vast amount of topical material existing in today's ever-changing technology base. Keeping up-to-date with related literature and being aware of the most recent publications require extensive time and effort. The need for a WWW-based software tool for collecting and providing access to this scientific body of knowledge is undeniable. The study explained herein deals with this problem by developing an efficient, advanced, easy-to-use tool, WebBiblio, that provides a globally accessible WWW environment enabling the collection and dissemination of searchable bibliographies comprised of abstracts and keywords. This thesis describes the design, structure and features of WebBiblio, and explains the ideas and approaches used in its development. The developed system is not a prototype, but a production system that exploits the capabilities of the WWW. Currently, it is used to publish three VV&T bibliographies at the WWW site: http://manta.cs.vt.edu/biblio. With its rich set of features and ergonomically engineered interface, WebBiblio brings a comprehensive solution to solving the problem of globally collecting and providing access to a diverse set of bibliographies.

Abstract:

The thesis has grown out of an extensive survey of the literature pertaining to the county of Rutland. The survey was an original idea to produce a county bibliography which had both a short-title catalogue of conventional references and full physical descriptions of the books of the county. Two types of bibliography, analytical and systematic, are combined in one survey. The thesis is an account of this project together with a rigorous review of the theoretical background against which it was conducted. The practice of bibliography, and specifically of bibliographies of counties, is reviewed. A new definition of county bibliography is offered, together with its appropriate objects of study (book, pamphlet, leaflet, ephemera and publication are some of the specific concepts defined here). The research methods employed for the Rutland project are described and a plan outlined showing how a comprehensive survey of any English county's literature could be achieved. Especially important here are the lessons learned from on-line searching. There is a detailed discussion of inclusion and exclusion policies appropriate for a county bibliography, and an account of how this material should be presented and described. A new classification system for a county bibliography is outlined, and older solutions to the classification problem reviewed. The lessons of the Rutland project are discussed, including presentation of a statistical breakdown of the Rutland material, and whether the way in which the Rutland project was conducted could be copied for other counties. The Rutland statistics are contrasted with those for other counties. Several appendices present bibliographical information, lists of categories of literature encountered and samples from the Rutland survey.

Abstract:

Over the past few months, I have been assembling a bibliography on elder abuse that will soon be published on the Web site of the Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (www.onpea.org). I brought to this inquiry the tools I developed a decade ago during a sabbatical I spent developing subject-literature expertise in gerontology. That study was focussed exclusively on the print literature. Today, however, no bibliography would be complete without addressing the multifaceted nature of communication. Not only is there the traditional “hard copy” bibliography, there are videos, the Internet, and even the telephone. (Phone Busters, operated by the Ontario Provincial Police, does research on telemarketing scams and seniors.) I should emphasize this bibliography is not meant to be comprehensive, but a “brief bibliography” along the lines of the excellent series published by the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.
Au cours des quelques derniers mois j’ai recueilli une bibliographie sur les mauvais traitements envers les personnes âgées qui sera publiée sous peu sur les site Web du Réseau ontarien de prévention des mauvais traitements à l'égard des personnes âgées (www.onpea.org). Dans cette investigation, j’ai utilisé les instruments que j’avais élaborés voilà dix ans pendant un congé sabbatique durant lequel j’ai acquis le savoir-faire relatif à la littérature-thématique en gérontologie. L’étude était exclusivement axée sur la littérature imprimée. Toutefoirs, aujourd’hui, aucune bibliographie ne serait complète sans aborder la nature diverse de la communication. À part la bibliographie traditionnelle « sur papier », il y a les vidéos, l’Internet et même le téléphone. (Phone Busters, géré par la Police provinciale de l’Ontario, fait des recherches sur le télémarketing frauduleux et les personnes âgées.) Je dois souligner que cette bibliographie n’est pas exhaustive, ce n’est qu’une «courte bibliographie » dans la tradition de l’excellente série publiée par la Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.

Once more we can offer our readers some further titles of the Swahili- related research literature, some brand new in publication, others already out since years, yet still not yet put on record for the wider world of Swahilists. Our call for bibliographical references was hardly responded to by the readers of Swahili Forum VII and other possible contributors except for one scholar who much prefers to be `in consultation with` a certain other scholar. Therefore we once more would like to draw your attention to communicate your articles, books and other resources on Swahili studies to us so that the bibliographical section of the next Swahili Forum will be a treasure house again. For the present issue we present all the titles which we happened to come across during one year of observation.

Die bisher - 1860 und 1872 - unternommenen beiden Versuche, das Gesamtwerk Alexander von Humboldts bibliographisch zu erfassen, können als gescheitert betrachtet werden. Die in der mehr problem- als werkorientierten Schaffensweise Humboldts, der zeitgenössischen Popularität seiner Schriften und den buchhändlerischen Verhältnissen seiner Zeit begründete Unüberschaubarkeit seines publizierten Œuvres begründete eine Art bibliographischen und buchhändlerischen Mythos, der jeden weiteren Versuch einer verläßlichen und wenigstens in Teilen vollständigen Bibliographierung dieses Werkes geradezu als Abenteuer erscheinen lassen mußte. Horst Fiedler und Ulrike Leitner haben sich diesem bibliographischen Abenteuer gestellt. Als Ergebnis ihrer sich über zwei Jahrzehnte erstreckenden Bemühungen konnte im Jahre 2000 die Bibliographie der selbständig erschienenen Schriften Humboldts vorgelegt werden.
The two attempts (1860 and 1872) to compile a bibliography of all works of Alexander von Humboldt have to be regarded as failures. Due to Humboldt’s scientific methods, the contemporary popularity of his writings, and the conditions of book publishing and selling, it has been difficult to achieve an overview of his œuvre. Thus each attempt to write a reliable or at least partially complete bibliography of Humboldt’s works constituted an adventure. Horst Fiedler and Ulrike Leitner have mastered this undertaking. As a result of their efforts over more than two decades, a bibliography of those works by Humboldt which were published in book form appeared in the year 2000.

Abstract:

An der SLUB Dresden werden die Sächsische Bibliographie und die Bibliographie Geschichte der Technik bearbeitet. Beide Werke liegen bis zum Berichtsjahr 1991 nur in gedruckter Form vor. Diese Bände werden als Teil eines Projektes aus dem Europäischen Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) retrospektiv konvertiert. Praktisches Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist die Erstellung einer katalogbezogenen Aufgabenbeschreibung für das Vorhaben. Die katalogbezogene Aufgabenbeschreibung basiert auf einer Datenanalyse, in deren Rahmen das verzeichnete Titelmaterial in den zu konvertierenden Bibliographiebänden untersucht wird. In einem theoretischen Teil der Diplomarbeit werden beide Bibliographien vorgestellt. Des weiteren erfolgt eine Marktuntersuchung zu Anbietern von Retrokonversionsdienstleistern in Deutschland.

Cette partie contient une etude detaillee sur l'attitude de l'eglise catholique face a l'esclavage des noirs dans laquelle est mis en exergue l'engagement du jesuite catalan pierre claver "le saint esclave des esclaves" aupres d'eux a carthagene des indes, de 1610 a 1654. Quant a la seconde partie, elle rassemble 1968 titres qui etudient le probleme a partir de la revolution francaise jusqu'a la guerre d'independance de cuba. Monographic research of comparative bibliography, with comments, on african trade and slavery in spain, american hipanic world and france since 1492 to 1898. 3207 titles together of wich 1239 are concerning the period of american continent discovery in 1492 by christopher columbus to french revolution in 1789. This first part contains a detailed study about catholic church attitude facing negroes slavery in witch is stressed the saint peter claver "the saint slave of the slaves" action with them (since 1610 to 1654). Dix ans après sa mort, que reste- t-il des écrits de Rachid Mimouni ? Ce répertoire bibliographique, qui se propose d’établir un premier bilan de la fortune de l’œuvre de Rachid Mimouni, de ses débuts littéraires dans les années soixante dix jusqu’à la publication posthume des Chroniques de Tanger, pourra aider à trouver, dans une certaine mesure, une réponse à cette question. Cette bibliographie est composée de trois parties : Les écrits de Rachid Mimouni, les entretiens accordés par Rachid Mimouni , les textes consacrés à Rachid Mimouni. L’objectif principale de cette bibliographie est de donner un instrument de travail solide et efficace qui permettra aux étudiants et, plus généralement, au public d’avoir une vue d’ensemble de l’œuvre et aux chercheurs de ne plus perdre leur temps en investigation bio-bibliographique. Dans ce sens, notre travail veut donner, en fonction même de son caractère documentaire, un résumé et des précisions sur une bonne partie de ce qui s’est écrit jusqu'à présent sur Rachid Mimouni. Cela nous aidera à voir l’évolution de ses écrits et surtout l’avis des critiques sur ses œuvres, ce qui permettra au lecteur d’avoir une vue d’ensemble
Ten years after his death, what remains of Rachid Mimouni’s writings? This bibliographical repertory, which proposes to establish a first assessment of the fortune of the work of Rachid Mimouni, of his literary beginnings in the Seventies until the posthumous publication of les Chroniques de Tanger, will be able to help to find, to a certain extent, an answer to this question. This bibliography is made up of three parts: Writings of Rachid Mimouni, Talks granted by Rachid Mimouni, Texts devoted to Rachid Mimouni. The principal objective of this bibliography is to give instrument of a solid and effective work which will allow the students and, more generally, the public to have an overall picture of work and the researchers not to waste their time in bio-bibliographical investigation anymore. In this direction, our work wants to give, in function of its documentary character, a summary and precise details on a good part of what was written so far on Rachid Mimouni. For that, we presented all works of Mimouni, as all that was written on him in a chronological order. That will help us to see the evolution of its writings and especially the opinion of criticisms on its works, which will make it possible to the reader to have an overall picture

L'auteur s'appuie sur une critique de la vaste bibliographie consacrée à l'étude de l'euphémisme et des interdits langagiers pour tenter de cerner l(objet linguistique complexe que constituent ces problèmes en liaison avec les difficultés épistémologiques et théoriques posées par leur traitement. L'analyse d'exemples de substitutions lexicales euphémistiques relevés dans le domaine ibéro-roman et d'un corpus de changements de patronymes permet ensuite d'étayer l'hypothèse que,dans le cas des interdictions linguistiques,ce n'est pas tant le contenu sémantique qui est directement en cause,que la capacité signifiante même des unités linguistiques dans le système,c'est-à-dire l'ordre de la langue. The study of folklore within Australia to date has been consistently hampered by the lack of any systematic and comprehensive subject bibliography available to researchers interested in the area. The present work provides a conceptual framework for folklore generally, and Australian folklore, specifically. The framework utilises contemporary scholarship and government policy formulations in the subject area. Based upon that framework, a comprehensive bibliographic listing of all folklore material published within Australia between the years 1790 and 1990 is provided comprising 1661 works. An account of the bibliographic problems pertinent to the subject area is provided together with an explanation of the causes of those problems. An historical summary and interpretation of the bibliography is presented in conjunction with an appraisal of the state of folklore research in Australia at the present time.

Malcohn de Chazal (1902-1981) is little known abroad and misunderstood by his compatriots in Mauritius. Man of letters and theatre, poet and painter, sometime philosopher and prolific columnist, Chazal was an agricultural engineer by training but worked for the telecommunications department. This thesis attempts to synthesise these multiple incarnations by putting together the salient aspects of his literary biography and the extensive detailed of his bibliography in particular : published books, newspaper and journal articles, book reviews, prefaces, unpublished works, correspondence, radio and television programmes. This task was complicated by an author who was at the same time egocentric and fiercely timid: Yet it fills a sizeable void in this field of study. The response of his critics in books and articles forms the second half of the bibliography; prefaces, critical books, academic works, -dictionary entries, catalogues and prefaces of exhibitions, and economic tracts. A renewed interest in Chazal in Mauritius and in France has relaunched study of the author, and encouraged publishers to reprint long forgotten works. It is hoped that this thesis will become a powerful research tool with its succinct biography, and in particular because of its complete bibliography. The newspaper and journal articles are classified chronologically by title and by alphabetical order of the newspaper or journal. A thematic classification of Chazal's articles with accompanying notes, as well as purely chronological classifications of all newspaper and journal articles facilitate the work of the researcher. The appendices are further augmented by a list of articles whose details have not been checked; an inventory of published works and articles of Chazal in mauritian archives and libraries (including useful information on these places); a list of authors and. books cited in Chazal's articles; a lexicon of titles, and names of people and places in Mauritius. This is followed by a detailed list of sources used in this thesis. The practical aspects of this study must be emphasised : from its presentation of Chazal's works to that of his critics, from its summary of Chazal studies to its projections of what still needs to be done. The confused reader will have a point of reference, and the initiated researcher will find a more useful guide within these pages than what is currently available. The study reflects this author's own difficulties, and tries to lighten the load of others by resolving a goo4 number of these issues. The thesis underlines Chazal's literary output by providing an accessible biography and a classified bibliography, while merely sketching his artistic career. The ultimate goal is to render author and work more accessible. While we are made aware of the paucity of research, the road ahead is rich with unexplored topics of study.

Purpose: This article is an overview of scholarly monographs on rock music from 1980 to the present. It provides an overview to the literature for practical purposes of collections development as well as giving the reader insight into key issues and trends related to a interdisciplinary topic that attracts scholars from many disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Design/methodology/approach: This bibliographic essay, focusing on works related to American culture and of a general nature, includes an overview and historical background; a discussion of how music and ethnomusiciological scholars approach the topic; geographic approaches; literature on four key icons (Elvis, Dylan, Springsteen, and Madonna); American studies; subcultures and genres; other methodologies; and concludes by discussing notable recent works. Findings: The scholarly literature on rock incorporates a wide variety of approaches and methodologies. Many music-related scholars appropriate methodology from other disciplines and some non-music-related scholars use the formalistic analysis of music scholars. Authenticity is a major theme in the literature on rock. Originality/value: This essay covers the widest range of monographs on the topic, providing insight into not only the key scholars but also the diversity of approaches to the topic. The historical approach to the literature gives the reader a sense of how the academic discourse on rock has evolved. This essay is of interest to librarians, scholars of rock music, and others concerned with how American scholarship in the humanities and the social sciences has grown since the advent of cultural studies.

Le système de la propriété littéraire dans la France de l’Ancien Régime est souvent examiné de manière rétrospective à l’aune du droit d’auteur contemporain : tout se passe comme si la librairie d’Ancien Régime devait être nécessairement le laboratoire d’un dispositif juridique et idéologique en pleine formation, encore mal adapté aux réalités littéraires. Cette thèse propose d’examiner la question de cette propriété à nouveaux frais, en considérant le système de librairie comme un ensemble d’acteurs, de logiques et d’outils opératoire, sur le temps long, des années 1650 jusqu’aux années 1780. À travers l’étude des logiques institutionnelles de la propriété économique et de la responsabilité juridique, des dispositifs bibliographiques des dictionnaires, des journaux et des recueils d’ana et des opérations éditoriales imaginées par les auteurs eux-mêmes, elle met en évidence les rapports de force qui agitent la librairie et le monde littéraire de l’époque. En empruntant à l’histoire littéraire, à l’histoire du droit et à l’histoire du livre, ce travail entreprend de montrer de quelle manière la propriété littéraire se construit à l’encontre des intérêts des auteurs et en faveur de la constitution d’un monde de la librairie où l’État joue de moins en moins son rôle de régulateur des pratiques. Literary property rights in early modern France are often understood through the prism of the contemporary droit d’auteur. Many studies see the early modern period as a laboratory for an on-going experiment in law and ideology, still ill-fitted to the literary practices of the authors. This thesis offers a fresh start in the examination of the question of literary property, taking the whole library system from the 1650s to the 1780s to be an effective articulation of agents, tools, and discursives practices. Through the study of institutional policies in the domain of literary property as well as judicial responsibility, through a careful reading of the bibliographical discourse with dictionaries, anas, and periodicals, and through the description of editorial endeavors undertaken by authors themselves, it shows the dynamics of the early modern library and literary world. With roots in literary history, history of law, and book history, this dissertation seeks to understand how the concept of literary property is aggregated, against the very interests of the authors, to consolidate a commercial book-trade where the State slowly delegates its regulatory powers. Through the study of literary attribution, this work follows its demonstrations with an acute interest in a close-reading of literary paratexts

Nachdem vor über einem Jahrhundert Reinhard Vollhardt einen Katalog über die Notenbestände der Ratsschulbibliothek Zwickau1 der Öffentlichkeit vorlegte, wurde der Musikforschung bewusst, dass die Zwickauer Einrichtung zu den bedeutendsten deutschen Musikbibliotheken gehört2. Sein Verzeichnis enthält 764 Nummern, die sich auf Notendrucke und -handschriften sowie Musiktheoretica beziehen. In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten konnten zahlreiche weitere Musikalien ermittelt werden, die Vollhardt nicht kannte. Nur ein geringer Teil davon wurde im 20. Jahrhundert erworben, andere − vorwiegend Kompositionen in Gelegenheitsdrucken − hat Vollhardt übersehen. Vor allem ist der Bestand an Individualdrucken wesentlich umfangreicher als bisher angenommen. Leider mussten die Musikalien aus der Bibliothek von Georg Göhler (1874 – 1954) unberücksichtigt bleiben, da dessen Nachlass noch nicht vollständig erschlossen ist. Eine Überarbeitung des Vollhardtschen Katalogs ist nicht in Sicht. Um der Forschung bereits jetzt eine vollständige Nutzung der Bibliothek zu ermöglichen, wurde mit dem vorliegenden Ver- Ein Anhang listet Notendrucke und -handschriften auf, die in älteren Katalogen genannt werden, heute jedoch hier nicht mehr nachweisbar sind. Hinzu kommen Angaben über Kopisten und Besitzer der Handschriften. Als zeitlich späteste Grenze für Titelaufnahmen gilt das Jahr 1860. Einige Exemplare fanden bereits in den Nachtragsbänden der RISM-Reihen Aufnahme. Gelegentliche Hinweise auf Vollhardt verweisen auf andere dort genannte Exemplare. Grundsätzlich wurden alle Titel aufgenommen, die bei Vollhardt fehlen, so auch Zweitexemplare. Das vorliegende Verzeichnis enthält Angaben über Komponisten, Herausgeber, Titel, Besetzung, Verlust von Stimmen, Verlag, Erscheinungsort und -jahr, Blatt- bzw. Seitenzahl, Signatur, bei späteren Drucken auch die jeweilige Verlagsnummer. Auf detailliertere Angaben wie Vorbesitzer, Wasserzeichen, ältere Signaturen, Erhaltungszustand bzw. handschriftliche Eintragungen wird verzichtet, bei zahlreichen Instrumentalwerken die Tonart durch Groß- bzw. Kleinbuchstaben in eckigen Klammern ausgewiesen. Aus technischen Gründen musste von der Wiedergabe der Incipits Abstand genommen werden. Zwei dazugehörige Register sollen das Auffinden der Komponistennamen und Texte erleichtern. Mehrere Kapitel wurden durch alphabetische Reihung oder chronologische Folge bestimmt. Für die wenigen liturgischen und musiktheoretischen Handschriften schien ein bestimmtes Gliederungssystem entbehrlich. Abbreviaturen werden, wo es die Eindeutigkeit erforderlich macht, aufgelöst, Textangaben und Autoren diplomatisch getreu wiedergegeben, Formatangaben auf halbe Zentimeter auf- bzw. abgerundet. Eckige Klammern kennzeichnen Auslassungen, Zusätze oder Ergänzungen des Herausgebers. Mehrteilige geistliche Kompositionen werden durch “p.“ – Angaben unterschieden. Einzelne Messsätze und -teile erscheinen getrennt, da sich die Zugehörigkeit zu bestimmten Messen in solchen Fällen nicht nachweisen ließ.

Abstract:

Bibliographic data provide well established means of the information resource description. Nowadays, there is obvious need to make this data more web-friendly and web-compatible, while web is mostly seen as the only place where people are seeking information. The proposed solution is to change the traditional bibliographic data representation format. Semantic Web initiative presents enhancement of the current web with machine processable data semantics (meaning). The main goal is to manage more effective information processing by web applications that brings up many benefits for web users. Linked data are seen as practical means to reach the semantic web vision. This initiative promotes best practices of publishing, connecting and sharing structural data on the web. This thesis reports the transformation of bibliographic records' format in case of Database of publishing activities at University of Economics, Prague (PCVSE). Benefits of linked data publishing model are demonstrated on the realized projects. The main part describes practical experiences gained during the implementation of RDF framework in phases of data modelling, interlinking and exposing the dataset. The linked data publishing model is seen there as an optimal web-compatible bibliographic data representation format.

Abstract:

John Buchan (1875-1940) has a literary reputation as a minor novelist, based mainly on his success as a popular fiction writer, the inventor of the spy thriller in his best-known novel, The Thirty-Nine Steps (1915). Although there has been considerably increased scholarly interest in his work in recent years, the perception that he is mainly a genre writer persists and has limited the success of attempts to move his literary reputation towards the academic mainstream. Other areas of his writing have received some recognition, but his uncollected journalism has remained a neglected aspect of his work, largely overlooked even by Buchan specialists. This thesis brings an academic focus to Buchan's uncollected journalism for the first time. It breaks new ground by examining the style, structure, and content of his articles and reviews, and argues that Buchan should be considered as an essayist of elegance and authority, an astute literary critic attuned to contemporary trends, and a wide-ranging cultural commentator on his times. The thesis shows that Buchan's uncollected journalism, in its volume and range, provides a major field for the additional research which is clearly required if Buchan's literary reputation is to be further enhanced. It aims to make a significant contribution by opening up this area of his work to future study in two entirely new ways. First, it contains an extensive catalogue of his uncollected journalism, over a thousand items in total, with each article categorised and summarised as an aid to future researchers, features which have never before been available. The catalogue also contains a hundred articles and reviews which have not been included in any previous bibliography. Secondly, it provides a selection of annotated articles which could form the basis of the first critical edition of Buchan's essays to be issued in order to promote further recognition of this aspect of his writing.

Bisher noch nicht erschlossen wurde die Verfügbarkeit digitaler Humboldt-Faksimile im Netz, wozu diese Arbeit einen ersten Beitrag leisten will. Ausgehend von der Systematik der Bibliographie von Fiedler/Leitner werden hier nach jetzigem Kenntnisstand 140 selbständig erschienene Schriften bibliographisch erfasst, wobei die Verfasser das Projekt in Zukunft auf der seit Juni 2009 aktiven Informationsplattform avhumboldt.de - Alexander von Humboldt Informationen online weiterführen und als digitalen Zugang zu den Texten des Mannes aufbereiten wollen, dem es stets daran gelegen war, mit seinem Werk zu einer Demokratisierung des Wissens beizutragen.
The existing bibliographies by Horst Fiedler, Ulrike Leitner and Ingo Schwarz are an essential tool for any research done on Alexander von Humboldt, especially given the fact that his works are so difficult to correctly follow up in their order of publication. Yet, what has been lacking so far is a tool that provides a systematically organized access to the digital facsimiles of Humboldt's works on the internet. It is the goal of this publication to provide a first jumpstart on this undertaking. Following the numerical order of the Fiedler/Leitner bibliography, this article sums up 140 titles of works published by Humboldt as separate books. In the near future, this project is supposed to be continued and increased as a permament service on the new site avhumboldt.de - Alexander von Humboldt Informationen online, which has been online since June 2009, aiming at providing digital access to the works of a man, who always emphasized the need for a wider and thus, more democratic distribution of knowledge. Las existentes bibliografías de Horst Fiedler, Ulrike Leitner e Ingo Schwarz son una herramienta esencial para cada investigador preocupado con la dificil tarea de seguir fielmente al orden original de las publicaciones de Alejandro de Humboldt. Lo que no se ha compilado hasta ahora es una lista de los facsímiles que por vía digital son accesibles en la red, tarea a la cual este trabajo pretende dar un primer paso. Tomando como base sistemática la bibliografía de Fiedler/Leitner, este trabajo recolecta 140 obras publicadas por Humboldt como libros aparte.
