Abstract:
The paper aims to clarify the biblical image-symbols in Frank Peretti’s mystical thrillers. The problem of the detailed analysis of the lingual representation of the biblical image-symbols and their pragmatic value is solved in the article by applying a complex of methods of linguistic poetics, cognitive linguistics, stylistics and methodological tools of discourse analysis. The paper considers the biblical images-symbols, used in American mystical thrillers written by the protestant author Frank Peretti, as biblical intertexts depicting not only biblical knowledge but also author’s intentions and beliefs in conveying the most profound ideas and principles of the literary texts. Executed in the written works by lexical means, biblical image-symbols become the heart of biblically-marked contexts, which are differentiated according to their addressee orientation into author`s and character`s biblically-marked contexts and their scope – into propositional, composite, and complex biblically-marked contexts. The lingual representation of the biblical image-symbols is differentiated according to their structure into one-component (anthroponyms, toponyms, artifact, animalistic, anthropomorphic) and multicomponent, (two-component, three-component and four-component). The type of semantic transposition in the meaning of the lingual representation and pragmatic value of the biblical image-symbols determined the distinguishing of metaphoric and metonymic linguistic classification of the biblical image-symbols. Metaphoric are classified according to their structure (onecomponent and multi-component), their stylistic characteristics (language and speech metaphoric linguistic representants of the biblical image-symbols), and their denotative meaning (anthropomorphic, naturalmorphic, zoomorphic, and phytomorphic). Metonymic are differentiated according to the kinds of the metonymic transference of meaning into four groups: metonymy of belonging, metonymy of place, metonymy of signs, and metonymy of phenomenon.

Abstract:
Abstract: This study aims to conduct an apologetic-theological review of the skepticism of the Lordship of Jesus according to the Gospels. This study uses a literature study method and a biblical analysis approach (specifically the Gospels) so that it can describe a general picture of the problems experienced in Christianity related to the divinity of Jesus and apologetic actions (defense of the faith) against those who attack and doubt the divinity of Jesus. The author begins by explaining the theoretical concepts related to the discussion topics so that the author and the reader have the same perception of the concept and the basis of the discussion. Then systematically describe the heresies in Christology, such as Arianism, Docetism, Gnosticism, Monarchianism, Ebionitism, Liberalism, and Jehovah's Witnesses with the factors of Jesus' Divinity Skepticism consisting of elements in Jesus' humanity and divinity. Thus, the researchers also provide solutions regarding apologetic-theological efforts against the skepticism of the divinity of Jesus according to the Gospels, which structurally will explain biblical implicit and explicit evidence, biblical acknowledgment of others/other parties, the biblical confession of behavior biblically, and Christology from the Biblical-Theological Review. All these reviews were conducted to prove that Jesus is a true man and true God.

Abstract:
The relationship between biblical theology and systematic theology has been seen as separate disciplines nowadays. Biblical theology only looking for what the text of the Bible meant for the first reader meanwhile systematic theology only attempts to find the meaning of the Bible text for today's people. Biblical theology is an objective study meanwhile systematic theology is a study based on the religious belief of the theologians. This paper, through literature research, tries to give a proposal that biblical theology and systematic theology has a close relationship. Both come directly from the Bible that they have a parallel and dialogical relationship.

Abstract:
Abstract The Danish physician Thomas Bartholin, famous for his work as an anatomist, also nourished a career-long interest in accounts of medicine in the Bible that resulted in a series of books on the topic. His final such work, On Biblical Diseases (De morbis biblicis, 1672) attracted a wide readership and was regarded by contemporaries as a model of an early modern practice called medicina sacra, the analysis of biblical accounts of disease and healing. Taking Biblical Diseases as a focal point, I investigate methods and goals of early modern study of medicine in the Bible. Setting out early influences that shaped Bartholin’s development, I demonstrate connections between his work and its precursors. Examining Biblical Diseases itself, I indicate how Bartholin deployed contemporary medical, philological, theological, and historical knowledge to scrutinize biblical accounts. A brief glance at the reception of Biblical Diseases reveals that theologians and physicians alike utilized Bartholin’s work and how it influenced subsequent studies of medicine in the Bible.

Abstract:
After an overview of late medieval Latin biblical mnemonic tools with a special attention to those transmitted in Bohemia, the study moves to an analysis of the most singular biblical retelling from Bohemia, the Biblia picta Velislai (Velislav bible) from ca. 1340. While this “biblical comics” displays many inconsistencies both in its visual and textual aspects (e.g., there are only nine precepts of the Decalogue included), the author argues that such features were quite common during the Middle Ages and did not exclude its use for education and meditation. Like substantially later Manualník by Jan Amos Komenský (1623, printed 1658), the main aim of this and other biblical retellings was the moral edification of the readers.

Abstract:
Systemic thought has been utilized to deconstruct various works of literature and art, such as novels, plays, and even sculptures. Even though the Bible is viewed as a work of faith by many, it also combines aspects of mythology and history with prose and poetry. Using four major theories of family therapy, namely structural, contextual, Bowenian, and narrative, the family of King David, as presented in the first and second Books of Samuel and the beginning of the first Book of Kings, is investigated and explored. Using the King James Version of the Bible as the main text, consideration is given to what each theory has to offer in expalining what occurs throughout this narrative, as well as what the David story has to say about each theory. Confirmation of certain aspects of a given theory and possible refinements to these are also given consideration. Reflexivity on the part of the author is also given consideration in the final chapter.

Abstract:
The article discusses the prerequisites for creating translations of the Bible into Norwegian and the history of its first translation into landsmål. The authors describe the evolution of the Bible translation and incorporation in the translation of Norwegian words and expressions, and show the influence of society in changing the biblical text. Particular attention is given to the impact of the Bible translation on the spread of New Norwegian as a cultural language in present-day Norway. The paper compares excerpts from translations of the Gospel of Mark into Norwegian riksmål (1904) and landsmål (1921) language varieties. The authors demonstrate the difference between formal and functional equivalence approaches to translating biblical texts and show that translators into landsmål, while trying to stick to the original source, considered it much more important to convey the poetry of the biblical language and to make it understandable to recipients. In conclusion, it is noted that Norwegian society accepted the new translation of the Bible, which in turn opened the way for the acceptance of nynorsk (the New Norwegian) as the language of the church.

Abstract:
Modern media discourse is featured by a certain freedom of choice of linguistic means to express the author’s intention or to draw attention to the event covered. Globalisation of the information space initiates dynamic processes of image perception and reinterpretation of universal concepts under the conditions of intercultural communication. The article deals with the analysis of biblical precedent units as intertextual inclusions for linguistic expressiveness with a profound pragmatic component in the language of modern media and the Internet. The research is devoted to investigation ofbiblicism functioning specifics in media discourse which is considered a driving force of modern language. Correlations of global bible concepts in different linguistic communities are also considered. For contextual interpretation of biblical precedent units in modern media discourse the following methods were implemented: descriptive-comparative method, the method of continuous sampling, the method of contextual analysis, the method of interpretation. It was found that the rich internal form of the biblical concept increases the pragmatic potential of intertextual context, performing the following functions: expressiveness, philosophical reconsideration, symbolism, provocation, initiation of semantic association, and text quintessence. On the example of illustrative material, taken from a corpus of media — Russian, British, American periodicals and the information space of the Internet, it is shown that the main biblical meanings and concepts are universal in terms of associative chains, formed in the consciousness of the recipient. On this basis, the conclusion is made that some correlations exist between different forms of presentation of religious doctrine and their modern interpretation, which found expression in a certain connection of some concepts and evaluations. Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of communicative verbs. Scientists analyzed communicative verbs in artistic texts, in biblical texts, and fairy tales. But there are no scientific works on verbs of speech in the language of the media. The Ukrainian language has all the means by which you can create a concrete and imaginative informational text. It is the verbs that make the text come alive. These are action words that improve the orality of the text. The research is based on the materials of the Ukrinform information agency. Speech verbs from 10 news reports for December 3, 2022 were analyzed. A total of 30 lexemes were recorded. They occur in the texts 73 times. And make up 31.2% of all verbs and 3.6% of all words. All verbs are divided into 22 groups according to semantics. The most common is the group with the meaning “to inform,”. Etymologically, 7 lexemes have borrowed roots, the rest are Proto-Slavic in origin. With the help of communicative verbs, journalists convey various shades of meaning and quality of someone else’s speech in the texts of news reports. The lexemes of oral speech penetrate into the written network text as well, creating new forms and platforms of communication. Prospects for further research are that there is a need to study communicative verbs in the language of traditional and new media, to make a comparative analysis of their use in different types of media, to trace the etymological connections between lexemes for more thorough conclusions. Key words: speech verbs, communicative verbs, news reports.
