Abstract:
Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar was a great poet of the twentieth century. Mahakavi Bharathiyar's works are considered as great treasures for the Tamil community. Even at an early age, Bharathiyar had a great affection and knowledge of the Tamil language. He started writing poetry at the age of seven while still studying at school. At the age of eleven, he showed his talent for poetry and the King of Ettayapuram, who appreciated his poetry, gave him the title of "Bharathi". From that day he was known as "Subramania Bharathiyar". Bharathiyar is also very passionate about music. Mahakavi Bharathiyar has given many works to this world through his attachment to music, many songs and many social ideas through his songs. In this way, some of Bharathiyar's musical works and musical messages have been examined in this research paper. The sub-topics of the study of this research paper are the sub-topics Bharathiyar and Carnatic Music, Bharathiyar and Folk Music except the introduction and conclusion respectively. Bharathiyar's attachment to music and his musical knowledge are explained under the subheading Bharathiyar's Music. Bharathiyar's attachment to Carnatic music is explained in the subtitle Bharathiyar and Carnatic Music. Finally, under the title Bharathiyar and folk music, the folk music songs created by Bharathiyar in folk music depicting the life and environment of the rural people are highlighted under this title. Therefore, various musical messages found in Bharathiyar's work under these three sub-headings have been examined in this review. These respectively are seen as the theme of this research paper.

Abstract:
Relations between Sri Lankan Tamils and Tamil Nadu are indigenous. They are multidimensional. They span politics, geography, history, commerce, literature, art, culture, religion, and worship. Due to the popularity of Tamil personalities, it is common for their names to influence the cultural spheres of Sri Lankan Tamils. It is common practise to put the names of active personalities on corporate organisations and projects. In such a background, this research is carried out by proposing the research problem that the name of Mahakavi Bharathiyar has influenced the cultural sites of Sri Lankan Tamils. Bharathiar belongs to the list of freedom fighters who fought for India till its independence. During the colonial period, Bharathiyar resistance was seen in two ways. One is a chant against the oppressive system of foreigners, and the other is a chant against the backward ideas found in society. Through his works, Bharathiyar is notable among those who brought both of these to the masses. It is worth noting here that it was Swami Vibulananda who introduced Bharathiyar and his works to Sri Lankan Tamils. As a result, it seems that a revolutionary movement about Bharathiyar has spread among the Sri Lankan Tamils. It caused great changes in the socio-cultural sphere. Thus, Bharathi's name has gained a stable place among Sri Lankan Tamils. Bharathiyar's name spans government schools, reading roads, social charities, women's liberation organizations, newspapers, magazines, sports clubs, street names, personal names, etc. Bharathiyar's creations have also been studied at the same time that lessons about Bharathiyar have been included in the art programmes of educational institutions such as government schools and universities. Memorial lectures, study conferences, etc. have also been started in honour of Bharathiyar. Statues of Bharathiyar have been installed and many memorials have appeared in all the places where Sri Lankan Tamils live today. It is noteworthy that these activities are a sign of the Bharathi Tamil historical period and his presence here is also evident from the study.

Abstract:
Bharathiyar’s thoughts on education are progressive in the educational environment that prevailed in Tamil Nadu centuries ago. They emphasized the social presence of the Tamils of the day and the need for social change. Through education, Bharathiar aimed to “teach that helping the poor, uplifting the lower castes, etc., enhanced the social and social duties”. Among the creators of songs and essays detailing the need for education in the early twentieth century, there is no one to compare with him. Bharathiyar, in his poems and essays, has emphatically recorded his views on education. In particular, Bharathiar describes the preferences and expectations about education in two articles, National Education-1 and National Education-2. Those essays explain the basis of Bhartiyar’s academic thoughts.

Abstract:
Bharathiyar's poems can be credited with leading the trend of Tamil literature to a new dimension in the twentieth century. It was Bharathiyar's works that made the Tamil language, which was immersed in the luxuriant flavours of the small literary genres in the palaces of the small land kings, rise up with a new force towards a new direction. Bharathiyar's poems, which arose for the liberation of the land, shed light on various fields, like women's liberation, spiritual liberation, caste liberation, and social liberation. Mahakavi Bharathiyar's poems became a rallying cry against slavery. Bharathiyar's family background, life in the city of Kasi, and friendship with Sri Aurobindo were factors in Bharathiyar's Hinduism. The reason why Bharathiyar took the nickname Shaktidaasan was because of his great love for Shakthi worship. Thus, even though Shakthi was sung as the supreme deity, Bharathiyar became a great devotee of the Vaishnava deity Kannan by composing the great poem Kannan Paattu. Bharathiyar's concept is also a celebration of the higher ideals of Buddhist philosophy. Although many poems have been sung with involvement in the various religious practises of India, it is also possible to know that religious harmony thoughts such as "one is supreme and we are its people" are prevalent in Bharathiyar's poems. Thus, speaking and writing about the ideas of religious harmony found in Bharathiyar's poems is an unavoidable requisite in today's environment. In this way, the ideas of religious harmony found in Bharathiyar poems are the foundation for the formation of a cultured society with high religious tolerance.

Abstract:
Mahakavi Bharathiyar’s songs marks the turning point in the world of Tamil literature. Although there are many innovations in his works, he has never left the old and ancient tradition behind. He puts forward his thoughts, needs, expectations and prayers through devotional songs about Lord Ganesha, Muruga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kali, Muthumari, Govindan, Shakti, Omshakti, Parashakti and Kannan. Among the poems written by Bharathiyar, the devotional songs, the songs about Kannan deserve much attention. He was so fond of Kannan that he kept his name as his pseudonym. This article examines the manner in his poems by seeing Kannan not only as a male form but also as a female form, it expresses the virtues which Bharathiyar intended to tell people through Kannan songs and how Bharathiyar accepted Kannan as a friend, father, servant, king, disciple, teacher, and mother.

Abstract:
In the explanation of the universe, the five gods, the planets, man, and the soul, science and philosophy are mutually exclusive. From time to time, scholars, poets, and mystics have been explaining philosophy depending on their field of knowledge. Philosophy is always man's search object and as such is the theme of the poetry of poets. Mahakavi Bharathiyar was the source of innovation in poetry and revolution in society, as well as giving richness and impetus to the development of Tamil literature in the twentieth century. It is noteworthy here that the poet who was a revolutionary who gave rise to the concept of innovation is also a patron who praises nature and God. In the works of Bharathiyar, who sees nature as God and God as an expression of nature, philosophy is woven through the leaves. This article explains the philosophical ideas expressed in Bharathiyar's works in terms of nature, God, and man and also in terms of Siddhas' doctrine.

Abstract:
Bharathi is admired by the people as the National Poet, World Poet, and Mahakavi. Bharathi had many dimensions as a poet, writer, journalist, freedom fighter, and social reformer. Bharathiyar's songs contain many truths that endure across space and time. There are two types of songs. One is to pour out thoroughly with simplicity in the minds of the laity. Another thing is that the learned poets create slanderous words with sharp edges. There is no doubt that the poetry of the other poets is superior, but all his works are somehow indebted to folk literature. This is a fact known in all folk literature. There is evidence to show this in the history of Tamil literature. Bharathiyar, who wondered, 'there is no wonder like song in this world', loses himself whenever he listens to folk songs. The world should know them. The study aims to create awareness about Bharathi's works and folklore among the younger generation by studying the folk ideas in his works.

Abstract:
India is a repository of stories. The stories are mostly in the spoken language of the people. The origin of the stories in Tamil is very old. There is not enough evidence to define its origin, but it can be traced back to the time of the Tolkappiar. It can be seen that Mahakavi Bharathi was also adept at the creation of stories and at the same time his stories were intended to convey the influences of moral values. Moreover, it is possible to see that stories are based on ideas about the people who traveled with them during the period in which they lived and the people they have seen. In Bharathiyar's stories, there is much to be seen in that true events are presented in the form of stories without imagination. It can be seen that Bharathiyar is seen from a slightly different point of view from other writers. Bharathiyar's stories are designed to illustrate the principles of justice that are applicable to all times. He has elaborated on the ethical considerations for personal development. His specialty is that he has set up stories in a very simple style without too much empty fiction. In this way, the purpose of this article is to highlight that Bharathiar’s stories are stories based on individual morality with the common good intention of promoting morality among the people.

Abstract:
Human society is a society where men and women live together. During the barbaric period, women were given more and more equal rights. That society was called the matriarchal society. Women were worshipped as mother goddesses. Women are worshipped as goddesses in literature, and are referred to as the Goddess of Victory and Suli. In Sangam literature, women were poets and knowledgeable enough to act as messengers. But the woman who was worshipped as Adishakthi was suppressed, oppressed, and disenfranchised in mediaeval times. The policy of not teaching women who do cooking was strengthened, and education was denied. There is no difference between men and women except in physical appearance. But they were included in the list of those who needed to be protected. It was Bharathiyar who appeared as the dawn of women's renaissance at that time. He wanted women to be well-dressed and presentable. A woman is naturally very knowledgeable. But some fools spoiled her knowledge. Women should be educated and their knowledge should be expanded. Bharathiyar wanted women to rule and make laws. He said chastity should be common to both men and women. A woman's power lies in her willpower. Society will prosper only if we realise the power of women and treat them as fellow human beings and give them equal rights. Where women are treated with due respect, society thrives.

A comparison is a way of expressing that one leadership trait is similar to and compatible with another leadership trait. Therefore, Bharathiyar and Vivekananda are united in their thoughts, actions, faith, patriotism, particularly Tamil patriotism, god worship, and so on. It is also admirable that all these qualities are inherent in both of them. Bharathiyar lived following Vivekananda. Both of them were multi-lingual, capable of making revolutions, had the power to finish what they intended, strived for the liberation of the country, and were energetic people like the sun. Vivekananda travelled all over the world; Bharathiyar lived in Tamil Nadu and puducherry. The life of an average person consists of many events, from birth to death. The events that happen in everyone's life do not become history, but the lives of these two great princes are history to be admired forever. Abstract:
Bharathiyar is one of the foremost poets who glorified love. Among many poets, only the poems of a few people are close to us. Bharathiyar is the closest person among us in this way. Bharathi viewed love not as an individual experience but as an experience appropriate to women's liberation and superstition and the creation of woman's knowledge. Bharathi's poems of love for society are full of prosperity, awakening, revolution, and anger. Among the poets who wrote poetry for love, it can be said that Bharathi was the one who fell in love with poetry. The world runs on love. Love has no death. Bharathi adopted Shelley's comment that "If there is no love, there is no life" as a mantra. When life appeared in the world, love also appeared. As long as there is life in the world, so will love. Love is based on the mind and not on the body and knowledge. Love dispels anxiety and belies death. He who cannot feel love cannot appreciate poetry or art. Success in life can only be achieved by surrendering to each other in love. It turns out that love can break through barriers as well as reach immortality through love.

Abstract:
Mundasukavi Bharathiyar is the one who made a great revolution in the world of literature by making poetry a profession and that profession for the people of the country. Bharathiyar was a multilingual scholar who paved the way for human society's development by contributing works in a variety of fields. It is very difficult to give a definite single definition of the concept of "education" as the concept of education is used in many different contexts. However, the topic of Thoughts on Education is explored in the hope that explanations of education can be derived from the way in which the word and concept of education are used. Education is required for society to thrive rather than perish. Education without purpose is like wandering in the forest without knowing the way. Education is an essential factor for social change. It has been discussed in "Classifications of Educational Objectives" that the aim of education is to develop good or to eliminate scientific attitudes. A comparison has been discussed in the topic of "Educational Thinkers and Bharati—a comparison" with the aim of comparing and expressing knowledge about the human activity of "education" which helps people's knowledge, skills, and development, and what kind of change in human beings and society as a result of education, what educationists and philosophers have found out and tried to bring about in society. It is natural for everyone to have certain norms of life according to their stage in life. And Bharathiyar's educational ideas and social applications are discussed in order to emphasise that certain ethics are essential for everyone to fulfil their life's needs and to live together with others.

Abstract:
History says that Mahakavi Bharathiyar composed most of his works before his prison life. Each of his creations evokes different energies in our souls, because it is filled with philosophical thoughts that are necessary for all times. Bharathiyar migrated to Pudhuchery from Chennai on August 26th, 1908. He plans to return to Chennai after staying there for some time. At that time, wise men like Aurobindo, Va.Ve.Su. Iyer, and Bharathidhasan pointed out the extraordinary situation of the country and left without listening to it. On November 20, 1918, Bharathi reached Tamil Nadu again. He was arrested and imprisoned before reaching Cuddalore. Bharathiyar was imprisoned for 25 days as prisoner number 253. At that time, with the efforts of Sudeshamitharan Rangasamy Iyengar, C.P. Ramasamy Iyer, and Anni Besant Ammaiyar, he was released on the 14th of December. It can be said that those 25 days passed as if Bharathi was in prison, so his thoughts were not confined, and the works he created took shape in such a setting. It should be considered for a moment that he has spoken about ideas that have lasted for centuries while he lived for only '39' years. The purpose of this review article is to base this on the future youth society to take it and act as vigorous.

In the Nineteenth Century in Tamil Nadu, there was a remarkable awakening in the field of religion. A revolution took place all over the country due to the civilised language and cultural projections of foreign rule. Many new creations were created to revive and awaken the slumbering population. There was an awakening, especially in the spiritual world. Two great divisions arose in the spiritual-religious world. They were innovators who wanted to change Tamil society according to the newly spread English education system, culture, and religious objectives. On the other hand, the conservatives started to adhere to a tradition that should not be changed. Both these reactions are disastrous for the country. Therefore, Ramalinga Vallalar said that a conservative is also needed and also the innovative. In both cases, he did religious work with the aim of being a recipient and a pusher. Abstract:
The colonial system is one of the systems of government in the world. A "Colonial State" is a form of government developed in a non-European society that was directly subordinated to European colonial powers such as Britain, France, Holland, and Portugal. This model of government developed historically only after the sixteenth century. A colonial state is created through the means of conquering the people of a state or colony by treaty or force of arms; settling and building systems compatible with the social, political, and economic systems of the mother country; and ruling the foreign country under its authority under the sovereignty of the mother country. The colonial state represents the aspirations of the colonial state and not the aspirations of society. India, which is the superpower of South Asia, was once ruled by the colonial government and lost its autonomy. It evolved into an independent country in 1947 due to the desire for freedom of the Indian nation planted in the minds of the Indian people. Liberation from colonial rule was achieved through a moral and armed struggle by moderate and extremist activists. Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar was one of the prominent figures in the Indian freedom struggle against colonial rule. Bharathiyar yearned to breathe the air of freedom from childhood. He celebrated the Goddess of Freedom by putting an end to oppression and slavery. Through newspapers, songs and poetry, he inculcated anti-colonial ideas into people's minds. He made people participate in the Indian freedom struggle by inviting them to celebrate the achievement of freedom. He guided them to act bravely against the tyrannical rule of the colonial government and not to live like ordinary people. Due to Bharathiyar's activities, people started mobilising against the colonial government. It is a matter of pride that Bharathi also played a part in conjuring up the dream of an independent India and spreading anti-colonial ideas.

Abstract:
Bharathiyar has carved out a unique personality for himself in the Tamil creative world. His literary platforms have expanded in various forms, such as poems, stories, essays, magazines, and translations. Bharathi's works basically reflect on three levels: language, nationality, and women. His works demonstrate how these three levels are intertwined and constructed. It also proposes key concepts of powerless politics, social order, and women's reform. Language is the primary identity of a society. Bharthi's work shows that he was actively involved in promoting the excellence of the Tamil language throughout the world. Bharathi's national work also focused on economic liberation, caste liberation, slavery liberation, etc. Bharathiyar is one of the foremost reformers who voiced support for women's education. Bharathi's work and contributions are the main reasons for women's freedom in education, career, and family development today. Bharathi's multifaceted works serve as a great guide for today's Tamil creators.

Abstract:
Bharathiyar was the one who created Tamil so that the honey-like Tamil music could spread all over the world. He made many innovations with his songs to remove the distance between people and Tamil poetry. He composed poems following tradition in traditional forms like song and poetry. He introduced innovation into traditional forms of poetry and gave rise to modern poetry. Panjali Sabadham is a unique record among Bharathiyar's songs. This book is full of simple Tamil, subtlety and emotions. The Panjali Sabatham consists of two parts. This book contains four hundred and twelve songs in five chapters namely Sulchicharukam (Duryodhana's trickery Chapter), Chuthattacharukam (Gambling Chapter), Adimaicharukam (Slavery Chapter), Thukilurithal charukam (Draupadi in the assembly Chapter), and Sapadhacharukam (Imprecation Chapter). Bharathiyar's poems have all been explored from a prosodical perspective. However, the Panjali Sabatham is not known to have been explored with specific focus on prosodic features. Therefore, the article researches Panjali Sabadham based on previous studies explaining the prosodic features and the verse Style based on Tolkaapiyam construction under the title “Panchali Sabatham: Prosodic features and Verse Style.” This book is made up of poetry that are Sindhu (slightly shorter than average), Kattalai Kalippa, Nilai Mandila Aasiriyum, Arusir (a four-bar song consisting of six words), Ezhusir (seven words and four bars), and Ensir Vridham (a four-bar song consisting of eight words). Among them the references made in previous studies are also reviewed. The way poetic style of the characters of Ammai (not based on the original word), Thonmai (prose is mixed with ancient subject matter), Thol (finer terms), Virunthu (Novel, Modern Poetry), Iyaibu (the consonants from 'jna' to 'na' as the last syllable), Pulan (understand the meaning without examining), and Izhaibu (adverbial verbs from related words), added strongly as the poet is highlighted. Although Tolkappiyam has mentioned 34 elements, considering the theme of Panchali Sabatham, considering the incompatibility of elements such as munnam (Intention), kaikol (Virtuous life), thinai (Location), porul vahai (Theme), etc., only numerical patterns which are considered as internal patterns are taken as the data for the study.

After that, there was discrimination between superiors and inferiors, and there was division among people in the name of caste and race. Both of them danced wildly, like uncontrollable demons. The land looks like a battlefield. People should live according to the guidance of these wise men so that conflicts and struggles disappear. Mahakavi Bharathi felt sorry for the religious and ethnic conflicts and differences that occurred in many parts of the world during his lifetime. All people should realize the greatness of mankind and live together as brothers and sisters. It was Bharathi's desire to see a peaceful country where people lived in harmony with freedom without conflict and with the resources provided by nature, their thoughts and wealth in the Indian society that was enslaved and divided.Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar was one of the many fighters who wanted to put an end to the abolition of caste. His creations are the earthquake that erupted in the mind that shattered caste and ethnicity. The purpose of this article is to show that through his poetry and articles, he pointed out the religious and ethnic struggles and showed the way to recover from them that was relevant to this era.

Abstract:
Bharathi is an era. He is a multi-evolutionary creator. Even though his creativity was expressed in various forms of literature, his poems are the most talked about and admired by people. However, no one knows much about his speeches. During the period from 1905 to 1921, Bharathiyar gave many lectures. There are only eight discourses among them. Those eight discourses reflect the state of crisis Bharathi was in and the tribulations of our Indian nation. At the same time, Bharathi's courage and eloquence are also captured in these speeches. Although they appear to be direct advice to the youth, they are infused with social, national, and patriotism. Anyone can speak clearly without fear in a normal environment. But the context and background in which Bharathi is speaking is unimaginable. In that situation, Bharathi's fearless delivery of a social concept amidst many bans makes it worth thinking about and admirable. In every discourse, Bharathi points out some general qualities that the youth of the day should possess. They are compassion for living beings, national welfare and patriotism, the aim of liberation, striving for liberation, a sense of unity, and taking historical scholars as pioneers. This study is based on illustrating the context and ideologies of the eight discourses.

Abstract:
Living in harmony with nature, human society has seen various types of advancements using nature. Since man began to live as an individual, he has upheld society due to his hard work. Also, when an individual comes into a society, he has certain values. Such values are changeable according to each society and period. In this way, Mahakavi Bharatiyar is notable among the poets who made the glory of the Tamil language known to the world. He is a social thinker. His record as a social thinker, freedom fighter, spiritual erudite, woman revolutionary, reformer, and so on is compelling. However, his approach and vision were far broader. Although he is understood in various dimensions like politics, spirituality, literature, and reformation, he also shines as a human being and a saint. Bharathiyar sang many songs for India's independence. He used the doctrine of “Religious Unity” for the freedom of India to unite the people in the freedom war. He removed the evils seen in old age and drew people to innovation. In this way, the aim here is to explore various platforms such as Bharathi's sense of national freedom, unity, and women's liberation through Bharathi's works.

Abstract:
Feminism is about the liberation of women. For ages, women have been trapped and enslaved in a patriarchal society without the right to even think for themselves. They are being oppressed. They are being crushed and staged all the time. From the family to the country, it is considered secondary. Bharathiyar was shocked to see these atrocities and plight. He was a free revolutionary. He, a mundasu kavi (a poet identified by wearing a turban), was a progressive thinker. He was a man of his era who started talking about feminism for the liberation of women. What was the source of his idea that women should be emancipated? How to treat the female race? What should society do for the advancement of women? In this article, it is seen from what point of view they should be seen through his works. In that way, women's liberation, denial of education, love, marriage, divorce, remarriage, domesticity, politics, and heroism should be improved in all fields. Bharathi's statement that women should decide their rights and also the need for their personal freedom is explained in this article.

Even though there are various fields in modern literature, Pudukavithai also holds a special place for itself. Such poems have been creating Pudukavithai starting from Bharathiyar to till the present day poets. A strategy is a method in which the creator of works uses a technique of his own to make his work tasteful and innovative according to his imagination, according to his language skills, different from other works. A technique is a method of creating art, the seal of the creators in creation. It reveals the personality traits of the creators. It is the techniques used by the creator rather than the ideas expressed in the works that make the artwork perfect. Their creativity and strategies play an important role in achieving success. Poets have also used different techniques to convey the ideas of the pudhukavithai to the readers as per the technique that can be used. Manushyaputhiran is one of them. His poems are about the problems of contemporary people. He has used simple techniques to make his poems understandable to the readers. This article depicts the sufferings happening in the society through images, similes, metaphors and myths through poems.

Abstract:
According to Bharathi's educational ideas, everyone can get an equal status in society through education. He lays down the curriculum to include basic writing, mathematics, history, geography, astronomy, religious-based education, economic education, inquiry-based science, political science, handcraft industry, agriculture, business, physical education, and field trips. He insists that mother tongue education is the best for education. He wants to develop the necessary vocabulary for science subjects. Female education is essential for national liberation. Education should be given to women as equal to men. He says that only then will there be equality. Industry, agriculture, commerce, and many other professions should be taught during education and uplift the community it belongs to. It will also help to uplift this country. As a sign of education, he advises empathy for simplicity, anger for smallness, and making those lower in status equal to him. Education about nationality, legal education, and physical education should be made compulsory. Education should be an expression of students' self-reflection. Bharathiyar has expressed all the above as educational thoughts through his poetry, essays, letters, journals, and lectures. The aim of this article is to show that Bharathi's educational ideas were the forerunners of today's national education policy.

Abstract:
He created many innovative works in many areas, such as religion, philosophy, art, social reform, women's upliftment, freedom, condemnation of superstitions, mercy, and humanity. In that way, his view on religion is admirable. Being born into a Brahmin clan, he was naturally inclined towards piety and religious thinking. At the same time, he also tried to look at them in a humanistic way. Because of that, he thought that there was a need for reform in society and religion to solve the woes of mankind. He directly condemned the superstitions traditionally practised by the Brahmins, which were not mentioned in the Vedas. He was very much attracted by Vedanta and sang many reconciliation songs mixed with Advaitha (dualistic) thoughts. However, he was deeply devoted to Goddess Parashakthi. Most of his Shakthi songs are composed in such a way, that the Almighty Shakthi should help the society prosper, for him to make revolutions, and to improve the lives of the poor. He records in many songs that the Goddess Shakti is present in his actions and words. Let us look at the composition of his Shakthi songs, which are arranged in such a way that he mentions that Shakthi is the cause of his activity, just as all life in the world needs a force to function.

Abstract:
The urgent need to mitigate climate change has prompted researchers to explore various avenues for carbon sequestration. One such avenue is the utilization of natural ecosystems like forests and plantations. Coconut plantations in university campuses play a vital role in carbon sequestration in mitigation of climate change. In this case study, we report the potential of coconut plantation from Bharathiar University campus, India. Four plots of 50 m × 50 m were randomly sampled from the coconut plantation in Bharathiar University campus. Carbon stock of the coconut plantation was calculated based on field survey and allometric equations. A total of 171 trees were recorded from the four plots totalling one hectare (ha) area. The total carbon stock determined for the one ha of coconut plantation sampled from Bharathiar University campus was 31.69 tonne/ha and the mean carbon stock per tree was 0.19 ± 0.06 tonne/tree. We have discussed the carbon stock of coconut tree allocation by above-ground and below-ground parts. This case study highlights the importance of coconut plantations in university campuses in support of curbing the atmospheric carbon concentration. We suggest for plantation of coconut trees in university campuses, that can serve not only as carbon sinks but also contribute to fulfilling the sustainable development goals of the nation.

Abstract:
The present study on the influence of disturbance in the dominated grassland near Bharathiar University, Coimbatore was studied over a period of one year from September, 2014 to August, 2015. The study was made during three seasons such as winter, summer and rainy so as to find out the seasonal changes as influenced by disturbance. The studied grassland is a semi-arid community containing most number of mesophytes with few xerophytes. To study the impact of disturbance, two sites such as undisturbed and disturbed ones spread over an area of 10 and 12 ha respectively were selected in the grassland. The floristic analysis showed that the undisturbed community was registered with 71 species and the disturbed community with 51 species. The family, Poaceae was represented by the high number of 14 and 13 species respectively in undisturbed and disturbed communities. Of the 71 species encounted, a sizablenumber of 66 species (92 %) harbour medicinal uses. It indicates that the study site was a potential habitat of medicinal plants with wide diversity. The quantitative ecological characters have been varied widely between the two sites due to the influence of disturbance. The resource apportionment for various species present in both study sites indicates that the grass, Brachiaria ramosa shared higher amount of resources than any other species present in the communities. The study suggested that the studied Brachiaria ramosa dominated grassland near Bharathiar University must be given conservation priority to protect the valuable medicinal species.

Abstract:
Some devotional literatures appeared by portraying the Lord as the superior male and the soul as a woman to make people to realize the philosophy of surrender. Bharati, who realized the aspiration of woman, and Thirumangaiyalwar (Parakalar), who realized the superiority of the Lord, created verses by assuming themselves as the heroine to express their devotion to Thirumal. The expression of love is manifested only in Separation unendurable. The purpose of this study is to compare the part of Kannan Pattu, ‘Kannan – En Kaadhalan’ composed by Bharathiar with the Thirumadals ‘Siriya Thirumadal’ and ‘Periya Thirumadal’ composed by Thirumangaiyalwar to reveal the inseparable sorrows caused to both of them by the separation of Kannan. The Descriptive Approach has been adopted for this research to express the sorrows of the departed heroines, the psychological approach to explore how the heroines’ love is felt, and the comparative approach to compare the two's feelings of separation.
