Abstract:
The process of analyzing the requirements for information security management systems is considered. The obligation to comply with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 27001 is shown. This provides confidence to stakeholders in the proper management of information security risks with an acceptable level. This is due to the internal and external circumstances of influencing the goal and achieving the expected results of organizations. In addition, the identification of stakeholders, their needs and expectations from the development of information security management systems are also considered. It is established that now the main focus is on taking into account the requirements for the process of developing these systems or to ensure information security in organizations. The transformation of the needs, expectations and related constraints of stakeholders into an appropriate systemic solution has been overlooked. These limitations have been overcome through the method of analyzing the requirements for information security management systems. Its use allows, based on the needs, expectations and related constraints of stakeholders, to identify relevant statements in established syntactic forms. There is need to check each of them for correctness of formulation and compliance with the characteristics of both the individual requirement and the set of requirements. For their systematization, establishment of relations the graphic notation SysML is applied. In view of this, the requirement is considered as a stereotype of a class with properties and constraints. Relationships are used to establish relationships between requirements. Their combination is represented by a diagram in the graphical notation SysML and, as a result, allows you to specify the requirements for information security management systems. In the prospects of further research, it is planned to develop its logical structure on the basis of the proposed method.

Abstract:
Information technology (IT) development often suffers from requirements uncertainty as in many cases only preliminary information is available. Wrong decisions may lead to rework that wastes resources and delays the project. Coping with preliminary information is thus an important aspect of project management. The authors apply a case study approach to analyze how IT professionals react to preliminary information and why they do so. The authors base their study on a concurrent engineering research study that provides guidelines how the downstream process (implementation) should react if the upstream process (analysis) is not able to provide all information. According to the authors' results, IT professionals predominantly apply these proposed reactions. Nevertheless, it is often unclear why they react the chosen way. They recommend IT professionals to invest effort to more systematically consider multiple reactions. Future research should focus on how the upstream process should react when the downstream process needs to make a decision.

Abstract:
As technical communication gains the technology to deliver dynamic custom documents, the importance of audience analysis increases. As a major factor in supporting dynamic adjustment of document content, the audience analysis must clearly capture the range of user goals and information needs in a flexible manner. Replacing a linear audience analysis model with a multidimensional model provides one method of achieving that flexibility. With a minimum of three separate dimensions to capture topic knowledge, detail required, and user cognitive ability, this model provides the writer a means of connecting content with information requirements and ensuring the dynamic document fits varying audience needs.

Abstract:
Human needs to meet their needs cannot be separated from the role of information technology (IT) to provide data and information needs. In the education sector, the need for application of IT is carried out as an effort to support learning activities. One of application for education is a learning management system. Through this research, it will explain the system requirements for an authentic assessment information system based on web application. When conducting an authentic assessment, the teacher will assess the aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills of student for vocational high school levels. The assessment tools for authentic assessments can be through by performance, writing, projects and portfolios assessments. The software development method used is the waterfall method, where for the needs analysis stage have used user requirement analysis and PIECES table. Meanwhile, for the design stage, we will use design tools by unified modeling language (UML). From the analysis and design of an authentic assessment information system based on web application, it is hoped that it can be one of the recommendations in building a learning management system media that is made in accordance with the assessment guidelines in the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract:
Periodic drought, irrigation requirements, and the enforcement of mandatory watering restrictions have posed a challenge for homeowners and landscape managers to maintain acceptable turf quality during dry periods. Information regarding irrigation requirements and performance of common turfgrass species used for residential and commercial landscapes in the southeastern United States would be valuable. A Linear Gradient Irrigation System (LGIS) provides an efficient way to measure cultivar responses to variable moisture regimes. Nine commercially available cultivars from three turfgrass species: ‘Argentine’ bahiagrass (BH) (Paspalum notatum Flügge); ‘Common’ and ‘TifBlair’ centipedegrass (CP) [Eremochloa ophiruoides (Munro) Hack.]; ‘Captiva’, ‘Classic’, ‘Floratam’, ‘Palmetto’, ‘Raleigh’, and ‘Sapphire’ st. augustinegrass (STA) [Stenotaphrum secundatum (Walt.) Kuntze.] were evaluated during naturally occurring dry periods in 2010 and 2011 for visual quality, color, and density and chlorophyll index. An irrigation gradient ranging from 0% to 120% of reference evapotranspiration (ETo) was provided by LGIS. Centipedegrass and BH had less demands on supplemental irrigation to maintain acceptable quality during periodic drought compared with STA. ‘Argentine’ BH performed similar to ‘Common’ CP for its visual quality except at the irrigation level of 40% ETo. Among STA cultivars, ‘Palmetto’ performed poorest in its relative drought response than other cultivars. ‘Sapphire’ STA needs further study to better characterize its drought response. The irrigation level of 120% ETo decreased turf quality except for ‘Argentine’ BH, and the irrigation replacement at 40% to 80% ETo, depending on turfgrass species and cultivar, may provide enough supplemental moisture to maintain acceptable turf quality during short-duration drought (≈2 weeks) in north Florida regions.

Abstract:
Background: Studies have shown that newly diagnosed diabetic patients need a lot of information about medical examinations, checkups, tests and precautions for its control besides its disastrous effects on heart, kidneys, eyes, foot and nerves. Patients in Saudi Arabia are generally not aware of most of the information they may need which is one the major reasons for its increasing number of patients. Past studies conducted are based on clinical data of hospitals and healthcare centers only discussed its effects. Methods: Present research was conducted through a survey questionnaire in the Arabic language from Type 1 and Type 2 patients to establish if they knew about this disease and its criticality in the day to day activities and were they being provided sufficient information about its requirements. Data for checkups, tests, management by food and nutrition and physical activity education were collected for this purpose. Approximately 25% female and 33% male patients reported that diabetes affected their day to day activities. Results: Analysis of results showed that awareness of importance of tests including blood glucose level test HbA1c was only among 50% patients, 51% Type 1 did not have cholesterol test, 31% Type 1 and 16% Type 2 % never had eye test, 97% Type 1 and 60% Type 2 were unaware of barefoot examination, 34% Type 1 and 70% Type 2 never went to a dietician to ascertain their nutrition needs, 24% Type 2 did not know importance of exercise for diabetes control. Conclusion: It was concluded that Saudi patients suffering from diabetes seriously lacked information about its monitoring, control and treatment in form of tests to be conducted and requirements of diet control and physical activities. Therefore, a national level awareness campaign for providing this information could be considered as a key requirement.

Abstract:
An attempt is made in this paper to clarify some of the ambiguities surrounding the topic of information requirements. Whereas current systems analysis practice is mainly concerned with determining the current and future information needs of the 'users' of the proposed information system, this study points out that the requirements process should begin much earlier - information requirements should indeed be derived from the overall strategic business plan of the organization. If an information system is to be successful over the longer term, it is not so much the needs of the user that should be determined, but rather the needs of the organization. For this purpose, strategic information system planning is indispensable. In effect this means that the development life-cycle of an information system starts earlier than indicated in current models. The consequences of this broader view of requirements definition for, inter alia, systems analysis are reviewed.

SummaryBackground: Many informatics studies use content analysis to generate functional requirements for system development. Explication of this translational process from qualitative data to functional requirements can strengthen the understanding and scientific rigor when applying content analysis in informatics studies. Objectives: To describe a user-centered approach transforming emergent themes derived from focus group data into functional requirements for informatics solutions and to illustrate these methods to the development of an antibiotic clinical decision support system (CDS).Methods: The approach consisted of five steps: 1) identify unmet therapeutic planning information needs via Focus Group Study-I, 2) develop a coding framework of therapeutic planning themes to refine the domain scope to antibiotic therapeutic planning, 3) identify functional requirements of an antibiotic CDS system via Focus Group Study-II, 4) discover informatics solutions and functional requirements from coded data, and 5) determine the types of information needed to support the antibiotic CDS system and link with the identified informatics solutions and functional requirements. Results: The coding framework for Focus Group Study-I revealed unmet therapeutic planning needs. Twelve subthemes emerged and were clustered into four themes; analysis indicated a need for an antibiotic CDS intervention. Focus Group Study-II included five types of information needs. Comments from the Barrier/Challenge to information access and Function/Feature themes produced three informatics solutions and 13 functional requirements of an antibiotic CDS system. Comments from the Patient, Institution, and Domain themes generated required data elements for each informatics solution. Conclusions: This study presents one example explicating content analysis of focus group data and the analysis process to functional requirements from narrative data. Illustration of this 5-step method was used to develop an antibiotic CDS system, resolving unmet antibiotic prescribing needs. As a reusable approach, these techniques can be refined and applied to resolve unmet information needs with informatics interventions in additional domains.Citation: Bright TJ. Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to elaborate the picture of the motivators for information behaviour by examining the nature of information need as a trigger and driver of information seeking. Design/methodology/approach A conceptual analysis was made by focussing on the ways in which researchers have conceptualised information need in models for human information behaviour (HIB). The study draws on conceptual analysis of 26 key studies focussing on the above topic. Findings Researchers have employed two main approaches to conceptualise information needs in the HIB models. First, information need is approached as a root factor which motivates people to identify and access information sources. Second, information need is approached as a secondary trigger or driver determined by more fundamental factors, for example, the information requirements of task performance. The former approach conceptualises information need as a trigger providing an initial impetus to information seeking, while the latter approach also depicts information need as a driver that keeps the information-seeking process in motion. The latter approach is particularly characteristic of models depicting information seeking as a cyclic process. Research limitations/implications As the study focusses on information need, no attention is devoted to related constructs such as anomalous state of knowledge and uncertainty. Originality/value The study pioneers by providing an in-depth analysis of the nature of information need as a trigger and driver of information seeking. The findings refine the picture of motivators for information behaviour.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The ever dynamic nature of business environment, global competition and increasing requests for more quality products by stakeholders have caused organizations to understand that the only way of survival in the market is to deliver better quality products to meet stakeholders’ needs. Many organizations, therefore, spend considerable amounts of their funds in activities related to improving products and services. This study in its qualitative nature employs a phenomenological approach to explore how requirements engineering can be successfully and sustainably attained through critical understanding of stakeholders’ needs, wants and preferences. The phenomenological approach provides an introductory background on the consequences of poor requirements engineering and management and why its importance cannot be over emphasized for twenty first century business organizations operating in an hyper competitive environment. The review of literature through desk research further provides insights on various definitions of conceptualization of requirements engineering and management. Stakeholder theory was adopted as the underpinning theory since stakeholders are the principal contributors and creators of requirements within the development of a product. The study concludes that stakeholders are the basis for requirements engineering. Hence, the study recommends involvement of stakeholders early on, to elicit desires, information and feedback from them, and to satisfy their information and communication needs. This is to ensure smooth development and efficient requirements engineering process. Keywords: Requirements, Engineering, Management, Stakeholder, Strategy, Products

Abstract:
According to the global growth of the “Blue economy”, coastal zones are under pressure from both land and marine side economic activities. The fragmentation of sectorial interests and legislation along the coasts has led to the need for bridging knowledge (data/information and methods/tools) and governance (decision-makers at every level) in order to ensure sustainable economic development and social and ecosystem resilience. This poses the need for an interaction process that associates user needs to the European and national legislative framework to create a policy-oriented demand of Copernicus Earth Observation services in coastal areas. Such goals need a strong and effective system to monitor compliance and to assess the progress of the legislation. This study aims at identifying potential gaps in the current Copernicus product offer for the monitoring of the coastal sector through the elicitation of stakeholder requirements. The methodology is applied to the Italian landscape of users, but it is scalable at European level. The results provide a clear overview of the coastal user requirements, highlighting the common need of integrated information for the management, and represents the basis for defining the coastal services.

Abstract:
Summary Objective : To elicit and analyze information needs of patients and primary care physicians (GPs) regarding the information services (static and functional) that a GP's practice website should provide. Methods : To find candidate information services, we conducted a literature search and examined primary care physicians' websites, especially Dutch websites. Semi-structured depth interviews with the stakeholders, Dutch patients and GPs, were done to arrive at a final checklist. We then conducted a survey to elicit the level of importance associated with each service on the checklist. The data underwent statistical analysis and relevant requirements were formulated. The requirements were then validated by interviews. General website quality and usability aspects were elicited from the literature. Results : The research resulted in a checklist of 38 selected information services including their priority ratings for patients and GPs; a discrepancy list between GP and patient priorities; and a requirements document containing information services (14 static and 6 functional), and general quality and usability aspects (8 and 5). Conclusion : The following items occurred in the top 10 of both user groups: general practice information, information of local public health institutions, self-help information, repeat prescription, links to health websites. At the bottom on both priority lists were: links to journals, tests and forums. Dutch GPs are much more selective in terms of which information services to provide on-line. Discrepancy between the two groups concerns on-line services that seem to require a change to the GP's workflow, or those services that are not recognized for reimbursing the GP. Although the Dutch patients' requirements seem to generalize to other patients, the conflict list might depend on the primary care system.

Attendance is an important factor in maintaining the quality of an employee's performance in a company. With technological advances such as nowadays, the ease of attendance can also be carried out easily, the use of the old attendance system is also considered less effective in today's era, employees need efficiency in the absent process, as implemented by Indosurya Finance's Solo Baru branch which has left the old system attendance , where the previous abscess system used the signature system, the block card system, and the fingerprint system. In this old system, the majority of employees worked not only in the office having difficulty meeting clients outside the office at any time, because they had to come to the office if they wanted to be absent. Therefore the company replaced it with a new system, namely using an application called Great Day HR. With a modern employee attendance system like this, it can help companies make arrangements for existing human resources and the purpose of this research is to determine the feasibility of an attendance system using Great Day HR for the future. The method in this research is through observation, interview, documentation, and literature study. The system design is made with context diagrams, HIPO, DAD, input output design, hardware requirements analysis, software requirements analysis. By using this online attendance system employees can perform attendance efficiently and effectively according to the needs of each employee. The final result of this online attendance system is an attendance recap data from each user owned by Indosurya Finance employees.

Abstract:
Requirements elicitation is a key concern in information technology (IT) projects. Busi-ness intelligence systems (BI) have emerged and are now used widely in organizations. These systems are designed to support manager's decision-making in their business performance moni-toring activities and their requirements are very different from those of transactional systems. But past research did not consider these differences. Therefore, this paper relies on a comparative approach to assess differences in the level of use and perceived effectiveness of requirements analysis techniques in both business intelligence and transactional contexts. An exploratory quali-tative study was conducted with two phases of semi-structured interviews with experienced practitioners. Our results show that 28% of the techniques differ in their level of use or perceived effectiveness, thus demonstrating the specificity of decision makers' needs. Our results reveal the importance of using techniques appropriate to the context to adequately define requirements and improve projects’ success.

Abstract:
The industrial control system (ICS) inherits the attributes of the traditional information system, but because it has its own characteristics that availability of triad (CIA) of information security should be a top priority, it needs to be set differently from the traditional information security requirements. In response to the issue, TTAK.KO-12.0307 (Standard for Industrial Control System Information Security Requirements) proposed by the National Security Research Institute (NSRI) and established by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) is being used. However, it is difficult to apply security requirements of TTAK.KO-12.0307 uniformly because of the reason that the characteristics of the ICS in each layer are different. There is also a limit to invest the security resources with equivalent priority for all requirements and ICS layers. It is still unresolved in the previous research studies which are related to information security resources, for example, Choi (2013), Ko et al. (2013), and Nah et al.’s (2016) studies. Therefore, this study tried to focus on what a top priority of information security requirements by the ICS in each layer is, using the analytic hierarchy process. As a result, we derived that the top priority requirement in the operation layer is “Identification Authentication Access Control,” in the control layer is “Event Response,” and in the field device layer is “Physical Interface Protection” with the highest importance. The results of this study can be utilized as a guideline for the security strategy and policy design by determining security requirements that should be prioritized in each layer of the ICS.

Abstract:
With recent advancements of technologies such as Internet of Things and cloud computing, security of information systems has emerged as a critical issue. This has created a need for elicitation and analysis of the security requirements at an early stage of system development. These requirements should also be expressed using visual notations that can encapsulate the vision of different stakeholders related to security. While business process management notation (version 2.0.2) is a widely used graphical representation for business requirements and makes it easier to define and communicate business processes between different stakeholders of the system. Moreover, extension mechanisms are available to model the specific needs of an organization. Due to its flexible structure for defining new extensions, it can be adapted to model security requirements in the information system (IS). Towards this, we propose a threat profile security framework to define the security requirements of manufacturing systems for businesses, which are at a stage of infancy to adapt or evolve the IS with the changing needs of a business environment. In particular, the framework is modeled by extending Business Process Management Notation and is applied in a manufacturing industry process at the shop floor level. We show through a case study example that the threat goal-based framework is broader and, hence, covers a majority of security concerns of organizations.

Abstract:
The act of classifying information created by accounting practices is ubiquitous in the accounting process; from recording to reporting, it has almost become second nature. The classification has to correspond to the requirements and demands of the changing environment in which it is practised. Evidence suggests that the current classification of items in financial statements is not keeping pace with the needs of users and the new financial constructs generated by the industry. This study addresses the issue of classification in two ways: by means of a critical analysis of classification theory and practices and by means of a questionnaire that was developed and sent to compilers and users of financial statements. A new classification framework for accounting information in the balance sheet and income statement is proposed.

We report on the information needs that we have collected in our efforts in establishing the Australian National Data Service. These needs cover much more than data – there are needs for information about the data, their creators, a need for overviews, and further requirements to do with proof, collaboration, and innovation. Abstract:
Chile is one of the leading domestic commodities that almost spread across Indonesia and is required by almost every individual from a variety of social backgrounds. Indonesia's chili production has not met domestic requirements. The district of Magelang is one of the key places in chili that significantly contribute to the supply of central Java chili, a factor that continues to lack the capacity for farmers to grow. This paper aims to identify the need for chili farming technology, in this case the research was conducted in Magelang District, which is the largest chili center in Central Java. The method used in this research was a case study through a focus group discussion (FGD) approach involving 20 resource persons consisting of farmers, field extension officers, and the agricultural office of Magelang District. The productivity of the crop ranges from 1.6 to 4.6 tons per ha, while the production capacity varies from 12 to 17 tons per ha. Abstract:
An analysis of private and commercial drivers’ information requirements for an advanced traveler information system (ATIS) is presented. The analysis is based on data from two nationwide surveys, one addressing private drivers’ needs and the other addressing commercial drivers’ needs. In these surveys, drivers rated the importance of four trip factors: ( a) increasing trip safety, ( b) decreasing trip time, ( c) reducing trip distance, and ( d) increasing trip enjoyment. Cluster analysis techniques were employed to identify groupings in the driver population on the basis of trip factors, and a multinomial logit approach was used to predict the probability of the drivers being placed in a specific cluster group. The results indicate that significant differences in trip behavior and socio-economic characteristics exist among the observed cluster groups.
