Abstract:
The Covid-Pandemic at the beginning of 2020 has in one way or another affected and limited how employees work. Changes such as companies with the possibility relocating the work to the employees' homes, changes in spontaneous interactions, new working methods have been formed and new tools have been launched. This new situation has led to several challenges and opportunities regarding how employees collaborate and share knowledge about customer needs. The purpose of the thesis has been to investigate how software companies have adapted methods, activities and work processes. The purpose is answered by investigating the processes for requirements and needs analysis and for mapping collaboration tools, the work situation from home, interactions within the project group and the opportunities and obstacles that exist in contact with customers. A qualitative interview study was conducted at two software companies with six informants in different roles with three requirements: that they worked remotely during the pandemic, that they have customer contact and are involved in software development. The results show that distance work leads to opportunities in the combination of work and private life, for example no travel time and easier planning of picking up children from school. Furthermore, the results point to challenges and difficulties in digital interactions between work colleagues and customers in that, for example, it is difficult to interpret body language, facial expressions and silence and that spontaneous interactions have decreased. The challenges lead to becoming difficult to perceive tacit knowledge, which can affect the work with requirements analysis and in turn the product.  The results were analysed by considering how knowledge about customer needs is created, for example which methods are used and which conditions the project group lives up to for successful knowledge sharing at a distance. The analysis shows that the increased use of digital tools has created a social acceptance for digital meetings, which has resulted in frequent contact with customers and the creation of more data in the form of, for example, recorded meetings. When the work is done exclusively with digital tools, more roles can be involved earlier in the development process. When communication takes place digitally, a reduction in understanding of the customer's needs can be experienced when, for example, informal meetings no longer take place and methods such as observations are no longer used. Project groups should adapt to meet the challenges posed by the distance by, for example, meeting colleagues in digital meetings at least once a day for no one to feel alone and to strengthen cohesion. Digital interviews and customer feedback take place more often and lead to an increased amount of stored data in the form of, for example, recordings and meeting notes. The increase in data needs to be managed for it to be easily accessible to project members. Furthermore, project groups try to adapt to the reduction in understanding and perception of tacit knowledge by no longer using activities such as observations and workshops.

Abstract:
Information management and customised applications of information technology are essential in knowledge based organisations. The implementation of an information system is one aspect of information management that regularly requires a huge amount of time and money. Therefore, to avoid the waste of resources it is important to know the users' needs and demands. By using an information analysis it is, for example, possible to investigate information needs, technical supported information and communication processes or designs. The aim of the thesis is to survey methods of analysis that identify users' demands and needs in terms of information management and systems. Additionally, it aims at finding out, which models are appropriate for cooperative and decentralised organisations respectively. Firstly, issues regarding the present information society and methods of information analysis are identified by carrying out an initial literature research. Secondly, an information analysis is developed and performed in a financial institution, which is characterised by its cooperative and decentralised organisation. The analysis consists of a standardised questionnaire and guided interviews. Both aim at analysing users' behaviour, the usefulness of the information systems supplied and the demands for a new system. The main outcome of this thesis is that there are different fields of application and models of information analysis. Finally, a combination of two methods was particularly appropriate for the investigated financial institution. The findings of the empirical study suggest that a new system that reduces the information overload and improves the organisation of information is requested by larger branches. Smaller branches tend to be less affected by the information overload and as a result they feel more comfortable with the current information management. Based on these results, recommendations for a future information system are given to the financial institution and suggestions on how the chosen method could be improved are made.

Abstract:
The objective of the study is to expand knowledge regarding aspects related to behavior when using databases, for alumni that found themselves working towards a masters or doctoral thesis at the College of Mexico (seria mejor usa el nombre aqui). The study bases itself on the Information Seeking Process(ISP) model proposed by Kuhlthau. The model consists of 6 phases> initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection and presentation. The models 6 states incorporate three branches, or axis of the experiences: affection (feelings/emotions), cognitive (thoughts), and physical (actions). The model develops 3 instruments to investigate knowledge of databases and the skills and attitude that students apply when using them. Using the results obtained it is possible to observe subjective aspects that are involved in the selection and use of databases. It is evident that the (iteractiva como interactiva en ingles interactive o iterativa en ingles iterative) nature of information searching where users of information attending the need for information take steps, return over the same steps or skip steps, depending on a diverse group of factors like knowledge prior abilities that a user may have when using databases. Furthermore it has been verified that natural need for information determines significantly the selection of the source to investigate, and the use of those sources

Abstract:
Purpose: The following research study is aimed at understanding the information practices of music fans, particularly fans of tango music and metal music in the city of Medellín. Design/methodology/approach: Based on three conceptual starting points, a social practice theory, the serious leisure perspective, and the information transfer model, a qualitative study was designed, with an exploratory and descriptive scope. In-depth interviews and observations were carried out with 18 music fans, 9 of tango music, 9 of metal music. The collected data was analized deductively using categories found on the conceptual models, and comparing it with the findings of a review of 50 previous studies found on the literature. Findings: The studies found on the literature suggest that up to this moment, music information behaviour has not been studied in a comprehensive manner, rather each activity has been viewed as isolated from others. The statements gathered from fans allow us to assert that an information practice is a coherent whole, all its activities are connected to each other and integrated with each person‟s lifestyle. Personal factors sucha as general understandings, values and world view are the ones that have greater incidence upon the practice, more so tan sociodemographic factors. A model for information practice is presented that describes all these elements. Originality/value: This study proposes a new theoretical and practical approach to the subject. The findings are an original and novel description upon which it is posible to conduct further studies.

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the relationship between information behaviour of managers and analysts in the credit risk sector and the organizational communication amongst them, within financial institutions from the federal government in Brazil, namely CAIXA Banco do Brasil S/A. Based on the work of Tubbs (2003), Wilson (1981) and Kunsch (2003), the conceptual model built up for the study suggests that variables of information behaviour of the subjects investigated should be taken into account in order to improve the communication process amongst them. Based on the authors studied, the study theoretical framework pointed the way to be followed in terms of methodological procedures. It has also been the base for the discussion of the research data. Qualitative and quantitative approached used, and the consequent triangulation of data through the use of questionnaires and interviews make possible to minimize some of the disadvantages of these research instruments. Driven by each specific objective, the study has allowed describing managers and analyst’s characteristics, the communication process amongst them, their information behaviour patterns and aspects of this behaviour that can be taken into account in the communication process within their organizations. Results show that managers and analysts of credit risks within federal governmental financial institutions in Brazil have higher education studies, mostly in Management, Account and Economics. They also have a good level of professional experience. In terms of the communication process, it should be highlighted that the internal communication is very intense and is essential for carrying out their professional activities. Quanto ao processo de comunicação, destaca-se que a comunicação interna é intensa entre os gestores e analistas de risco de crédito estudados, e essencial para realização das atividades de análise e avaliação de risco de crédito. Results obtained allowed identifying the major elements of the organizational communication process in the institutions studied. Regarding the information behaviour patterns, the study showed that the tasks performed by managers and analysts of credit risks have influence on their information needs, seeking and use. The study took account of the cognitive aspects of the information behaviour, only. The trial of finding a theoretical relationship between information behaviour as an input to communication has been an academic exercise within the context of the Post-Graduate Programme in Information Science at the University of Brasilia. From the results of the present study, it was possible to find out that knowing the information needs of colleagues and the way they seek and use information facilitates the communication with them. Therefore, information seeking and use patterns constitute an important factor for a good communication. It is therefore possible to state that, from the theoretical point of view, the present study added to previous ones that has focused this relationship. This, in turn, meets the approach of theorists like Belkin and Brookes, and positively adds to epistemological issues in Information Science. From the applied side, the study results shall be taking into account in both institutions studied. Its questionnaire has, in fact, been used as a model for services related to the communication process in one of them.

Abstract:
This research proposes the necessary elements for construction of open access policies in Brazilian universities through a critical debate using Sandra Braman’s concept of Information Policy Regime also used by other theorists in order to analyse the Institutional Repositories (Irs) . From the concept of information policy, this research discusses open-access policies in higher education and research institutions in Brazil. The methodological procedure adopted was the literature review within the library economy’s and information science’s domains of scientific databases and repositories on the following themes: repositories, policies, and policy Regime Information. In addition, from the OpenDOAR and ROAR MAP’s records, it has been chosen the institutional repositories in Brazil that composed this study’s empirical corpus. This study examined the policies of these Irs on the basis of the four characteristics of information policy: transparency, networks such as organizational principles, shared responsibilities between public and private sectors and informational power as a dominant power. As a complementary methodology managers’ interviews were conducted aiming at understanding the building policies’ process, as well as the implementation of these universities’ repositories. It is concluded that the open access policy makers should follow four guidelines, namely: prioritization of informational transparency; recognition that an institutional policy is an outcome of a dialogue between the various sectors of the University; build a dialogue between the University and the private sector; show that informational power has governed institutional actions. The present research proposes further investigation on topics such as the national policy of open access, digital preservation policy and informational modes of a democratic science promotion. This research intended to contribute as theoretical and methodological basis to the proposition of open access policies, which aim at the implementation of Institutional Repositories in Brazilian universities.

In the area of information science, the discussion of Ethics covers studies on the ethics of Information directed to the discussions towards the library and the use of information and communication technologies. In Brazil, the theme "ethics" was widespread with ethical characteristics, aimed at the practice of the professional librarian. The aim of the thesis was to understand the appreciation of the members of the Committee of ethics in research with Human Beings of the higher education institutions of Alagoas in research protocols that have as a source of information the patient records, and its ethical implications. The theoretical context covers: ethics and research; Ethics in information science; Ethics and research with human beings; Bioethics and regulations, patient records, medical records and statistical service, SAME chart and ethic of the chart. The lookup is applied, qualitative, exploratory, and the method used was the case study. The instrument used for collecting data was the questionnaire, divided into three blocks, totaling 17 (seventeen), semiabertas and open issues. The questionnaire and consent form Free Savvy were distributed formally to the coordinators of the respective Ethics committees of institutions of higher education of Alagoas, getting the same responsible to implement the questionnaire and by signing in the appropriate consent form Free Clarified. Of the four committees that authorized the completion of the survey, a splice the blank questionnaires. The population of the research was from 28 members of these questionnaire replies were received from 23. The survey results show that 85% of the survey members of research ethics committees with Human Beings of the higher education institutions of Alagoas, accepted the justifications of the researchers of the decline consent form Free Clarified, when the use of patient records, to understand that these are secondary data and ethical issues that are related to the analysis to be done good research practices , namely, the preservation of the right of the participant to allow research access to their information contained in medical records. It is concluded that the members of the Committee of ethics in research with humans from Alagoas stopped printing in depth knowledge of "data" and "information source", but identifies itself through these same prints that they understand that the patient records is a "secondary" justified given the non-application of FICS to owners of patient records when conducting research with this source of information it is recommended the effective interaction between the library and the archival appraisal for settling the concepts of patient records and therefore your access to and use by researchers, interacting with the health sector.

This research project seeks to propose a model for the collection and analysis of information that permits the direct population from the University of Antioquia to identify the level of access, knowledge and use they have of the specialized tools of Internet. To the creation of this model a literature review is made on the current context of our society from the perspective of its characterization as a society of information and knowledge; it is created a synthesis of the Internet tools that fits in the profile which supports the academic, scientific, professional and cultural aspects of the University of Antioquia population (networked knowledge management); finally, by assessing similar research projects, it proposes a specific model at the University of Antioquia which might be useful as well for other universities considering the scarcity of research on this area. The creation of this model is a first stage, it will continue with its actual application, and accordingly to its results for the decision making in both, the technological aspects (Informational Infrastructure) and the training aspect (Informational Infostructure), and thus, to cope with the issues of the digital divide and the informational iliteracy, in order to reach a better informational level that helps to diminish the underdevelopment of Colombia (Informatioanl Sociostructure) through adequate governmental and institutional policies.

Abstract:
The thesis is situated in the context of courses in information literacy provided by academic libraries, focusing on methods of evaluation. Various methods of testing the effectiveness of information literacy courses are discussed, ranging from simple feedback methods to questionnaires concerning students' contentedness with courses and to tests assessing the informational skills achieved by students. Grounded on a thorough theoretical background on evaluation methods, put in context of the libraries' reference framework, the different approaches of assessment are put into comparison with the goal to define which are best suited for what purpose. Time and effort needed for each method are part of the consideration. A step-by-step description and critical assessment of an evaluation process using the questionnaire method illustrates the comparison and shows precisely the amount of time and effort needed to conduct this process, thus supporting librarians' decisions on adopting this method or not. The implementation of evaluation processes has become ubiquitous throughout the German academic landscape. The thesis shows that, in contrast to this general approach, evaluations should only be used in a focused way, addressing specific questions, to be an effective tool. Furthermore, measures of quality improvement should always be in the centre of attention and be linked directly to the outcomes of the evaluation process. Though it seems to be implicit, this step is often neglected in current practice.

Abstract:
As to design new strategies for the quality improvement of all services offered by the Marcel Roche Library (MRL) of the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Investigations (IVIC) this work studies the beginnings and evolution of quality management improvement reviewing some of the studies presented by some of the most outstanding authors in this subject as well as analyzing the basic components and principles of the total quality management (TQM). This document also focuses on the analysis of the nature, evolution, characteristics and importance of current services inside the manufacturing industries as well as service industries itself. Having these concepts in mind, service quality can be defined as a mayor factor in the progress of all corporations due to the increasing demands and expectation of costumers nowadays, they no longer evaluate quality as the final product but as the result of all processes involved in the delivering of the final product. This paper also refers to the incorporation of the philosophy of quality services into the library scope, and marketing and strategic planning notions are studied as the concretion of management towards quality. To determine the factors which affect service quality, elements of quantitative and qualitative investigations were used, employing direct observation, questionnaires and focal group interviews techniques, being the latter the mayor provider of real and instant information, which helped us identify the needs and expectations of users as well as the perception of employees of MRL. Conversations with both audiences allowed us not only to know their answers to each question but also to observe their reactions towards them, adding value to the interpretation of these answers by helping us identify emotional ties associated to the offering and use of services. At last, as a consequence of the results obtained in this study of factors which influence the offering of services at MRL, nine application areas were defined for which specific strategies and actions were designed. Such areas are: personnel, organization, collection development, information recovery, documents reproduction, users education, physical infrastructure and technological platform, automated system of library management and marketing. Abstract:
This research project aims to raise awareness of the information needs and information seeking behavior of family members of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), since in this community the use of information is vital when making the best decision regarding their well-being and quality of life. The methodology used is of a qualitative type and is framed within the ELIS (Everyday Life Information Seeking) model proposed by Reijo Savolainen in 1995; to carry out this research, semi-structured and recorded interviews were conducted with 12 parents of people with ASD who have some relationship with the organization Aletea; this organization attends all kinds of consultations on this subject and tries to train family members and raise awareness about this spectrum to achieve a more inclusive and tolerant society. Also, at a previous stage, qualified informants of the Aletea organization were interviewed, as well as an important professional in health to better contextualize the problem of the use and management of information by these families, as well as to have a more insight clear of the existing advances and the improvements that are still necessary in this community. The results were rigorously analyzed based on categories and subcategories for a better understanding and separated by block according to the main subject to which they refer. Due to the scarce research production in Uruguay and the world on this specific issue, it is expected to contribute and give rise to new research to make this community visible and the obstacles they face daily. Abstract:
Research question: This study sought to investigate the community information needs of, and information provision available to, the residents of the Broomhall neighbourhood of Sheffield (UK), as perceived by them. Objectives: The research objectives were: 1) To identify the community information needs of the residents of the Broomhall neighbourhood; 2) To establish to what extent information providers satisfy the community information needs of the residents of the Broomhall neighbourhood; 3) To explore the effectiveness of the community profiling tool to analyse community information needs and provision; and 4) To understand the possible implications of this study for policy makers. Research design: The theoretical framework was based around the following concepts: a) the materialist conception of history, b) the social class struggles concept, and c) the concept of configuration as an open structure of theory. The methodologies used were qualitative research and interpretivism. Data were generated using snowball or chain sampling within a purposeful sampling approach and through triangulation of a) semi-structured interviews (individual and group-focused); b) non-participant observation and c) document analysis methods, themselves entailing the triangulation of literal, and interpretative data analysis. Findings: The major findings relating to community information needs were related to the following issues: 1) territoriality and uses of the land (e.g. housing for poor and working classes; expansion of Sheffield and Hallam universities in the form of university student villages); 2) poverty, social and economical inequalities (e.g. unemployment, debt, and crime); 3) health (e.g. drug addiction, lack of: green public open space, playgrounds, and sports and leisure facilities); 4) politics (e.g. inadequate allocation of funding for community projects); 5) culture (e.g. multicultural, ethnic, religious, and national issues; tribalism of BMEs); 6) communication (e.g. people socially excluded due to lack of English classes). The findings also related to the following features: 7) transport (e.g. transport for the elderly); and 8) education (e.g. nurseries, and socially inclusive primary schools. Territoriality related to all the other 7 issues and features in negative ways. Conclusions and recommendations: For Broomhall residents it was recommended that they should change their neighbourhood name to Holberry Gardens and create a strategic alliance to save their neighbourhood from being taken over by developers; they also need to distance themselves from Broomhall and The Park, and to resist anti-working class policies from the European Union, central, regional, and local government and private/voluntary sectors. For the LIS community a community profiling tool has been found to be effective as long as it is used within the contexts of qualitative research and territoriality. Policy makers should abandon their privatisation policies relating to the provision of social services (e.g. information, help and advice) which have worsened the quality of life of the poor classes, and have fostered poverty and crime. The need for the creation of a new and free-of-charge health and sports facility that includes a library was also recommended.

Abstract:
The present research, of qualitative and quantitative nature, presents the validation of the psychometric properties, a survey that measures the self-perception of the informational competences of a group of students of the Industrial Civil Engineering program at Universidad de La Serena, Coquimbo Region, Chile. In the context of Chilean higher education, a valid instrument to determine the development level of informational competencies doesn't exist. These informational competences are an essential tool in the teaching and learning process in higher education. This work develops a comprehensive framework that provides the theoretical foundation for the concepts of informational competencies and validation of a measuring instrument. The expert judgment procedure or the face validity method is used to determine the content validity of the survey. As well, the Cronbach Alpha internal consistency method is used to evaluate the reliability level of the instrument. The results of both processes are analysed and the conclusions of the study are presented. Finally, this research presents an approach for training of the informational competencies for surveyed students, through a practical training course.

Abstract:
The general aim of this research is to understand how the selection of information sources by bilingual Brazilian Sign Language/Portuguese high school teachers from Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina, Campus São José happens. The specific objectives are: to characterize the bilingual school teachers according to their academic background, experience and professional practice, to identify the information sources used by teachers in the teaching-learning process, to understand the reasons leading to the choice of the information sources and to identify the criteria used by teachers for selecting the information sources in bilingual education. It presents a review on the literature about the history of deaf education; deaf education in Brazil; modalities of deaf education; sign language; access, selection and quality of information sources. For the study , a methodology with a qualitative approach will be used, which consists of the study of a descriptive case study that is supported by literature to achieve the goals. The research includes the teachers who taught at a bilingual high school in the second half of 2010. The instrument of the data collection is the interview script. For the data analysis, the technique of content analysis of Bardin was used. The survey results indicate that the sources that are most used by teachers in the teaching-learning process are: experimentation, book, food, toys, study trips, and teaching materials prepared by the teacher. The reasons for the use of information sources are: the presence of visual information sources and motivation of students in learning. Considering the criteria for the selection of sources, the selected as very important are: a source that is current; a well prepared and easy to understand text , pictures and / or illustrations; level of information that is appropriate for the age group. It was concluded that high school teachers need to adapt the bilingual informative materials to the reality of the deaf using a visuospatial channel for communication, represented by the sign language. The visuals resources are extremely important for the understanding of the information provided by the sources. The bilingual school teachers follow the logic of adjustment to the user to choose information sources and are concerned about the quality and convenience of the sources used in the teaching-learning process.

Abstract:
The present master thesis examines the use of new technologies in data management as tools for patron-oriented collection enhancement in academic libraries. Patron orientation involves outsourcing part of the stock selection to library users, as in the case of patron-driven acquisition (PDA) of digital materials, which are purchased after a certain number of downloads. The analyses of interlibrary loan requests or transaction logs are two other methods which provide objective indicators of users’ literature needs. Another valuable source of information on these needs is the record of zero hit OPAC (Online public access catalog) searches for known items, since they uncover gaps in the library collection. In 2010 Wolfgang Köhle and Günter Sauter-Sternik created a program called NUTR!S (loosely translated "zero hits information service") for the Vorarlberg Regional Library which links the entries of the zero hit list with the search boxes of other library catalogs. Thus, the program makes it possible to check whether searches that have failed in your OPAC result in a hit in another catalog and to prove that such an item exists but is not part of your collection. In my thesis, I have tried to answer the question whether and to which extent NUTR!S, which was created for a relatively small library, can be used to enhance the collection of larger libraries such as the University and Regional Library of Tyrol. For this purpose I have examined the way NUTR!S works with the help of original zero hit tables. The results suggest the need of modification of the program in order to reduce the amount of data without information loss. On this basis I have suggested several adjustments. A test run with the program modified according to my specifications shows that these adaptations would make NUTR!S an effective tool for patron-oriented collection enhancement even in larger libraries.

Abstract:
A study of scholarly communication, based upon written interviews with historians of colonial Brazil located in this country. It investigates the use of digitized rare books for the production of knowledge from 1995 to 2009, which corresponds to the first fifteen years of digitization projects in libraries, both research libraries and others. The goal of the present study was to verify to what extent the digitized rare books on the internet are part of the Historian´s scholarly communication process at the moment in Brazil and a possible impact factor on his research. It investigates the open access to information movement, going back to the seventeenth century, and considers the issue of the so-called "two cultures" in the sciences and the humanities. Responses create a profile of the historians studied, the use of printed and digitized collections, use of technology, aspects of the flow of information during the research process, and their knowledge of the open access movement. Among other findings, results showed that historians of colonial Brazil in this country extensively use technologies and do not feel pressured by them; find more barriers in using printed rare books than digitized rare books on the internet, but they are well aware that the digitized book does not substitute for the original printed copy. Access to digitized rare books was an impact factor on research and results may point to a possible threat to the printed book as the main tool for those historians. The majority is in favor to the Open Access Movement.

Abstract:
In this work, it was pointed out the infocommunicational competences as a possibility to educate for information in university libraries, based on actions developed by librarians. University libraries are drivers to promote infocommunication skills, playing an essential role in the formation of the academic community, as well as serving as a support for information, in addition to supporting the four pillars of the university: teaching, research, extension and innovation. Under the issue of investigating whether university librarians understand the problem of misinformation as their own and how infocommunication skills can help fight misinformation, the objective of this research is to analyze the implications of infocommunication skills in fighting misinformation in the scope of action of librarians who they work in university libraries. Supported by a theoretical framework, the dissertation discusses the phenomenon of disinformation, the role of university libraries in society, the attribution to librarians of combating disinformation, the impacts of disinformation on democracy in a post-truth scenario and the importance of education for information through the promotion of infocommunication skills. In an empirical collection, based on interviews with university librarians from the south of Rio Grande do Sul, it was discovered how and if the professionals are acting in the fight against misinformation, and how and how their responsibility to combat misinformation is understood. The research uses qualitative, descriptive and exploratory methods, using for data analysis the French-line discourse analysis and elements of infocommunication skills, by Borges (2018, appendix), to relate the actions described by the interviewees with each competence in information and in Communication. Furthermore, the levels of information literacy in university libraries by Uribe-Tirado and Pinto (2014) are considered, in order to show whether the actions promoted have a more consistent focus on training or on literacy/promotion of infocommunicational skills. From the empirical research, the actions that are promoted by the interviewed librarians were listed, relating to infocommunicational skills, in which it could be seen that information skills are usually promoted more than communication skills. It was also observed that the interviewees are concerned with the phenomenon of misinformation and consider it a strong point for their professional performance, but they still do not develop actions that educate for information, with an autonomous or political bias, and do not promote infocommunicational skills yet. in their daily activities, in the case of level initiatives with a greater instrumental focus, which would be level 2 by Uribe-Tirado and Pinto.

Abstract:
Since the identification of a change in the acting in Institute of Information and Science and Technology (IBICT), given the broadening of interaction means with the users, this study aims towards understanding the socio-informational context in changes bearing in sight the theoretical framework of information actions in the ambit of “intermediary information institutions.” The theoretical trajectory suggested that, in the social plan, it would be possible to comprehend the current dynamics around information actions, especially from the technological modifications provided with new hardware, software and, above all, the World Wide Web, which influences the manner and behavior of the processes of search, retrieval, access and use of information by the user. Highlighting the user in this new scenario, this concept was analyzed as a means or a tool to learn two theoretical-informational models. The “systemic model” is characterized in function of the emphasis directed towards the professional and information system. In this model, the flow of information presents a foreseeable chain direction counting on the pretense of knowledge of the target public and of how the system works. In this sense, the “emerging model” spots problems in the previous model as it considers interactive possibilities, interconnectivities and hypertexts provided by the WWW. Given this panorama, it was possible to outline the following assumption: the contemporary socio-informational context and the theoretical construction of the “emerging socio-technical informational model” have been influencing information actions in “information institutions and intermediary systems” in S&T. Under this perspective, the trajectory of the research went through three moments. In the opening moment, a theoretical framework was spotted based on the categories “conceptual focus attributed to the user and to the information” and “nature and focus of the researches”, which helped in the process of visualization of certain analytical aspects aligned with “systemic” or “emerging” models. The identified theoretical framework brought systematizations around the phenomena of search, use, behavior, practice and action of information. In the moment of outlining, the action of information approach was put in context, bringing nearer the concept of the meaning of validation of information, especially to point out research possibilities regarding the use of information. In the last moment, called calculus, the results obtained were articulated so as to allow an interpretation guided by the concept of action of information in S&T. For such, the Brazilian scenario of Information in S&T was put in context oriented by the actions developed in IBICT. This institution was taken as a reference for being responsible for a representational fragment of actions of information in S&T in the country in the ambit of intermediary institutions and systems of information. IBICT operates meta-information aiming towards the access, retrieval and use of information, creating and providing the subsidies for the creation of meta-informational maps, targeting the monitoring and control of information in S&T, as well as performing actions considering criteria of excellence in information and S&T. From the theoretical path and the analysis of the actions from IBICT, the complexity and interdependency of different instances and actions in the ambit of institutions and intermediary systems of information in S&T were identified and criticized, under the orientation from criteria of excellence particular from the phenomena related with information in S&T and, also, under the theoretical influence of the “emerging socio-technical informational model.”

Abstract:
Social Sciences have a relevant importance, because they assist individuals to make sense of the social world and to situate their ideas, fears, interests, values and relationships at the center of the social processes they reflect and configure. However, a diagnosis made in the main doctoral programs of the Pedagogical Sciences in Cuba revealed deficiencies and deficiencies that led to the formulation of the scientific problem of the present investigation: insufficiencies in the process of interpretation of the social reality, in relation to its qualitative and complex nature, which limits the scientific performance of professionals. The object of the research is, therefore, the scientific research process of the Social Sciences and its field of action: the dynamics of information processing in the Social Sciences research process. The main research results are: a model of the dynamics of information processing in social investigations, which becomes an integrative didactic method for such processing, as a theoretical contribution, and a system of methodological procedures for processing information in the social investigations, as a practical contribution. It is revealed as essential regularity, the integrating logic between the understanding of the validity and reliability of social information and the systematization of the synthesis and the concretion of this information, consistent with a qualitative and quantitative processing of it. The pertinence and scientific feasibility of the research results was assessed satisfactorily through a consultation with experts and the corroboration of the partial application of the system of methodological procedures.

Bibliographical references of thesis can offer us a very detailed view of the use of the library collection. This method has been complemented with users opinion collected in a questionnaire. Combination of these two techniques has helped reduce the subjectivity inherent in data analysis. The study shows that the authors of the doctoral theses cite almost in the same proportion both magazine articles and monographs. Abstract:
Public procurement in Spain accounts for about 20% of the country's Gross Domestic Product. The large amounts of money that are moving in this area and the growing social concern about knowing what the public money is invested forces administrations to adopt measures on transparency and openness of public data. It is in this profile, in which this work is framed, on the one hand, does the public know how transparent the public administration is, and on the other hand, the administration knows what the optimal characteristics for each contract? The obstacles to comparing this type of information are based on the lack of details of the contracting portals, the different categorizations, the normative plurality and, in short, the difficulty of access to information. The information of the tenders is mostly published in the different portals of contracting of the Autonomous Communities, in addition to the national portal of public sector contracts.
