Abstract:
It’s a big deal when the library world gets in the national news. I mean, it doesn’t happen every day. And usually, when it does, the news is not positive. This summer, the children’s library world burst into the national news—and into swift social media discussion—with the ALSC board’s unanimous decision to change the name of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award to the Children’s Literature Legacy Award.

Abstract:
Media environment, emerged from the traditional system of mass communications and enriched with new opportunities for the community, is intensively developing in the modern society. Scientists’ research shows that media defines modern existence, consciousness and values of anindividual and social groups. Media environment acts as the place of human existence and means of influencing his consciousness. The author characterizes the media environment as the social space for the library institution, reveals the possibilities of the public library as the leader of public opinion and identifies technological features of introducing information influence into the library media communications. With the development of the Internet technologies, mass communication has become open and accessible to the library community. Modern library simultaneously acts as an active user ofmedia content and as an actor creating its own media products for a wide audience. However, these opportunities are mainly used for internal purposes: to reflect the life of the institution and to disclose its information resources. The article justifies the possibility of strengthening the social position of the library by assuming the role of the local community information leader. The author comes to the conclusion, that social effectiveness of the library actor behavior in the media environment will be determined by two factors: the correspondence of the communication product to social demands and the power of information influence of the message and social consequences (actions).

Abstract:
The processes of informatization and globalization, development of information technologies, mass media and electronic communication are the major factors that caused socio-cultural transformations. Under these conditions, all social institutions, including libraries, are being transformed and modernized. The article discusses the problem of library “To be or not be in the era of Internet” and the place and role of library in the period of socio-cultural transformations. There are described publicistic and scientific works of library scientists devoted to the modern library. Their position is compared with the interpretation of library as a social institution in the abstracts of dissertation theses defended in the Russian Federation in the period of 2000—2013 in three branches of knowledge — “Philosophical Sciences”, “Cultural Science”, and “Sociological Sciences”. On the basis of their analysis, there are revealed four entities of library as a social institution: “Library as a cultural phenomenon”, “Library as a heart of significant social and cultural information”, “Library as a foundation for the development of science and advanced ideas”, and “Library as a stabilizing social factor”. The author substantiates the need for evidence-based library science as a special approach to library practice, where the management decisions at any level (government, regional, municipal) shall be made on the basis of available evidence, based on the interests of readers (users) and society as a whole, taking into account possible social risks and requirements of social safety. Philosophers, culturologists and sociologists give special attention to the characteristics of the advantages that libraries possess in comparison with the Internet. Library provides selection, systematization and cataloguing of significant social and cultural information; represents knowledge in a documentary and observable form; does not impose on the user the patterns of mass culture and behavioral templates, and encourages readers to spiritual growth by reading and addressing to valuable and relevant cultural information.

Abstract:
The condition of social media is now able to fully encourage social interaction and all community activities. The influence of mass communication (cognitive, affective, and behavioral) for users or social media audiences where their behavior has been positively and negatively influenced. This condition is very concerning because the socio-culture of teenagers has been influenced by the mass media which seems to have become the basic need of teenagers. The mass media should be consumed according to need, in fact now the mass media has become a basic need that has been able to fulfill and assist all daily activities. However, as a teenager in his time, he should still be controlled and need supervision. This study focuses on how the influence/effect of mass communication on audiences who use social media on teenagers in the 5.0 era of society. Adolescence is the start of the change between childhood and adulthood, which is still influenced by the mass media in this 5.0 era of society. Researchers used library research methods using various library sources or previously written works. From the results of this study, the greatest effect of social media on adolescents is a change in attitudes and behavior in the social and cultural sphere. Therefore, the social effects of mass communication on teenagers are like 2 sides of a coin that have good and bad effects, so due to the mass media today, everything that teenagers do sometimes cannot be controlled and still cannot be considered good or bad for themselves.

Abstract:
One of the most frequent ways of narrating everyday life in developed countries has been via the printed book. The invention of printing allowed for an ever-increasing mass production of documents of life that systematically established an era of communication and a political economy that had profound implications for the structure of living together. This article departs from the context of my own lifeworld: a lifeworld closely related to printed books. When attempting to explore and understand the overt and covert meanings embedded in the historical development of our social lives and the objects around us, we can turn for assistance to an analysis of the books on our shelves, books that have been constant companions for long periods of our lives. In this article, I propose that any valid interpretation, understanding, and depiction of social reality need to be, in essence, autobiographical. The autobiographical account I present includes how my personal life trajectory led me to the books that surround me. And how, in turn, these books become a reflection of myself and my roots.

Termination of Employment is an activity from the company that is very feared by workers who are still actively working, and it happened mainly in the past few years. This study is based on a liturgical analysis from various data sources, which is supposed to be valid and is carried out from March 2020 to March 2021, based on conditions currently experienced by the community. This research employs both a descriptive and a library approach. This study focuses on the investigation of force majeure in the Indonesian Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on social life. This research demonstrates that the termination of employment (PHK) policy utilized as an alibi by some organizations during the COVID-19 epidemic was regarded unreasonable because several corporations invoked force majeure. In accordance with Manpower Law No. 13 of 2003, if the company's loss does not exceed two years, the company cannot end the employment contract unilaterally.

Abstract:
Abstract In this article we compare Dutch penny prints with Spanish Aleluyas, focusing on three specific functions of this premodern mass medium: popularising and adapting theatre plays; standardising (folk/fairy) tales; adapting and popularising literary classics. Via these functions we address the discrepancies between the two countries considering the materiality of the penny prints, the growth of the production, but also the transition from a predominantly religious, towards a more profane content. Striking was the lack of educative and edifying initiatives in Spain in contrast to the Dutch ideological strategies. We observed some interesting similarities as well. Although in both countries penny prints often conformed to current ideologies and institutions, there were instances in which penny prints and aleluyas were used as instruments of social satire or resistance. A few similar strange twists in the adaptations of literary classics, seem to suggest some form of transnational exchange or at least imitation.

Abstract:
The Prague Sacramentary is the only complete example of this important early-medieval liturgical book to survive from eighth-century Bavaria. But, as the name implies, its present home is in the Czech Republic. The manuscript (Praha, Knihovna Metropolitní Kapituli, O. LXXXIII) was acquired in 1776 for the old metropolitan chapter library in Prague from a Czech private library, and nothing certain is known about its earlier location. That volume contains three works: the Sacramentary itself (fols. 1–120) together with an abridged lectionary (121–30), to which an incomplete penitential (131–45) in a different hand was added at an early date, almost certainly before autumn, 792. The page size is 247 × 165 mm (9.75 × 6.5 inches), and the gatherings of the volume vary between three and five sheets with four sheets predominating. The first 84 folios are written in a single column of 21 lines across the entire page, but folios 85–120 are written in two columns also of 21 lines each with marginal bounding lines drawn in an arrangement that is characteristic of Bavarianscriptoriain the Carolingian period. Four folios are now missing from the Sacramentary, three from the lectionary, and two from the penitential.

Abstract:
Purpose Online social network (OSN) users have a high propensity to malware threats due to the trust and persuasive factors that underpin OSN models. The escalation of social engineering malware encourages a growing demand for end-user security awareness measures. The purpose of this paper is to take the theoretical cybersecurity awareness model TTAT-MIP and test its feasibility via a Facebook app, namely social network criminal (SNC). Design/methodology/approach The research employs a mixed-methods approach to evaluate the SNC app. A system usability scale measures the usability of SNC. Paired samples t-tests were administered to 40 participants to measure security awareness – before and after the intervention. Finally, 20 semi-structured interviews were deployed to obtain qualitative data about the usefulness of the App itself. Findings Results validate the effectiveness of OSN apps utilising a TTAT-MIP model – specifically the mass interpersonal persuasion (MIP) attributes. Using TTAT-MIP as a guidance, practitioners can develop security awareness systems that better leverage the intra-relationship model of OSNs. Research limitations/implications The primary limitation of this study is the experimental settings. Although the results testing the TTAT-MIP Facebook app are promising, these were set under experimental conditions. Practical implications SNC enable persuasive security behaviour amongst employees and avoid potential malware threats. SNC support consistent security awareness practices by the regular identification of new threats which may inspire the creation of new security awareness videos. Social implications The structure of OSNs is making it easier for malicious users to carry out their activities without the possibility of detection. By building a security awareness programme using the TTAT-MIP model, organisations can proactively manage security awareness. Originality/value Many security systems are cumbersome, inconsistent and non-specific. The outcome of this research provides organisations and security practitioners with a framework for designing and developing proactive and tailored security awareness systems.

Abstract:
The article analyzes characteristic features and development logic of the library project by Google, which started from the famous Google Book Search project (also known as Google Books and Google Print), and later as Google Play Books within the multi-platform multimedia service Google Play. For decades, a constant trend of the corporation’s activity has been the development and testing of new social and communication models in working with users, combining the complexity and global reach of the audience with the use of its interactive potential. In the early 2000s, the company initiated mass scanning of library collections, thus starting the development of a new institutional paradigm for electronic libraries. Later, having developed new business models for the distribution of electronic copies of printed products in the course of numerous legal proceedings on charges of copyright infringement, it also pioneered the new information market development. From the very beginning, Google Book Search was aimed at the mass user, which was facilitated by its constantly expanding set of options and increasing level of comfort of access to the resource. In 2006—2010, the service presented an opportunity for users to download, in pdf format, books free of copyright law; a new viewing interface “About this book” was added; an opportunity to operate texts using “My library” option was provided; a mobile version of the service was launched; access to statistical information on diachronic frequency dynamics of word usage based on the collected database was provided. The article analyzes the further development of the library project within the Google Play Books service, which allows users to read, buy and sell e-books, use bookmarks, download their own books in pdf and EPUB formats, and synchronize data on all user’s devices. There is assessed the social significance of the project in the context of the global electronic civilization development.

Abstract:
In the era of contemporary media convergence, the interconnection of journalism and social media is inevitable. New media journalism included in the mass media family cannot stand alone without the presence of social media. Therefore, the management of journalism and social media in mass media companies has currently been a given. Without the link between journalism and social media, it is undoubting that the media company is lame, outdated, and on the verge of collapse, because it is abandoned by its readers, audiences and advertisers. The aim of this study is to describe the process of linked journalism in social media in Indonesia, especially in three media groups. Those are Media Group Network, Republika Group, and MNC Group. This study uses qualitative analysis and data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and library study. The results of this study show that the three media groups have differences in managing their journalism and social media. Media Group Network separates all social media under its authority. Republika Group unites all social media under one roof, while MNC Group differentiates in each of its subsidiary groups. This difference has consequences on the number of their followers. Social media under Media Group Network and MNC Group have relatively few followers due to the large number of media subsidiaries under their auspices. On the other hand, the number of the followers of Republika Group is larger because all media subsidiaries are united in one social media platform of Republika Group.

Abstract:
This article reports the results from a study of social representations of psychological problems.¹ Knowledge of these representations is important because of their role in understanding both the acceptance and effectiveness of psychological help. The research was conducted in a low socio-economic area of Santiago, Chile. Discrepancies have been found between the social representations of psychological problems held by professionals and those held by community members in such settings. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methods was used, gathering data from 15 individual interviews, two group interviews, and a questionnaire survey using open-ended questions on a sample of 203 individuals. Information provided by the mass media was also analyzed. The results obtained refer to social representations of psychological problems, problems requiring psychological treatment, labeling of psychological problems and sources of influence in the maintenance or transformation of these representations. Analysis of the main sources of influence and comparison between individuals with and without experience regarding psychological help lead to the conclusion that this social representation is undergoing a change, in that its contents are evolving from more pathological elements to more everyday problems.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the formation and development of system of public libraries in India and their place in the educational, social, cultural and informational space of the country. The formation of the library system in India occurred during the complex colonial and post-colonial periods of its history. It took place in the conditions of underdevelopment, the uneven social, political and cultural development of the regions, ethnolinguistic disunity, and mass illiteracy of the population, dominating in the society of caste, religious and gender prejudices. The article demonstrates that public libraries in India, beginning with their appearance in the first half of the 19th century, had a special mission. They were considered not only as repositories of books, but, first of all, as centers of education, aimed to spread the knowledge, fight with ignorance by introducing to the reading, to raise the cultural and intellectual level of Indian society, thereby contributing to its prosperity. The article describes the main stages and directions of state policy of India in the field of librarianship from the early nineteenth to the late twentieth century, recounts the history of the founding of the National library, emphasized the role of Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation. In separate section there is considered the contribution to the library and information science of S.R. Ranganathan, the outstanding leader of Indian culture.

Abstract:
Social pedagogy tends to be primarily associated with the education of people from vulnerable target groups or with leisure pedagogy. An essential part of the social pedagogical practice is also the folk education process, which was already linked to the Masaryk ideal of an educated and industrious society before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia and which was carried out through libraries. After 1948, this ideal was transformed into the idea of the 'new socialist human', in whose formation libraries played a significant role. This study aims to use contemporary literature and archival documents to view libraries as instruments of all-people education through work with the reader. It will show that libraries throughout the period analysed (1918-1989) played the role of important social pedagogical institutions that are unfairly overlooked in disciplinary discourse. They draw on the anthropological discourse of social pedagogical practice. This paper focuses on the search for general structures in library practice, from work with workers and peasants in the form of reading in the fields, mass work with readers, the Fucik badge competition, to discussions with readers. All of this contributed in a fundamental way to the formation of anthropological models associated with socialist man. A certain discontinuity in continuity transformed the humanist ideals of the library of the First Republic.

Religion, at least, consists of five dimensions: ritual, mystical, ideological, intellectual and social. The ritual dimension is related to religious ceremonies, some rites that are considered sacred such as prayer, mass or worship. The mystical dimension shows religious experience which includes at least three aspects: attention, cognitive systems, beliefs and fear. The ideological dimension refers to a series of beliefs that explain the existence of humans dealing with God and other creatures. The intellectual dimension shows the level of understanding of people towards their religious doctrine. The social dimension is the manifestation of religious teachings in social life. As for the other hand, culture is a complex whole, social heritage or tradition, ways, rules and ways of human life, human adjustments to the natural surroundings and ways to solve problems, the results of human intelligence and the results of association or human association. The methods used in this article is a qualitative approach to the library, where the focus is aimed against any reference about the religion, culture and islamic boarding school. The approach used is qualitative, which is a research procedure that describes the behavior of certain people, events, or places in detail and depth. While this type of research is literature. Abstract:
This research aims to offer the concept of pentahelix in the management and development of modern Islamic social finance. This research is a qualitative research with a library study approach that seeks to explore and develop the concept of pentahelix that has not been applied to the management and development of Islamic-based social finance activities. The results of this discussion found a new concept related to the pentahelix concept in the management and development of Islamic social finance. What can be done is starting from the activeness of academics, business people, government, communities and the media. The five elements have an interrelated relationship and support each other in the concept of developing Islamic social finance. Academics play a role through education, service and research tasks that will prepare and equip knowledge to human resources who have managerial skills and mastery of the knowledge needed in the management of Islamic social institutions. The government also has a role in the development of Islamic social finance in the form of support by publishing the Sharia Economic Master Plan by the National Development Planning Agency (BAPENAS). These activities require community support, and the role of mass media is needed in order to provide information or education. The effectiveness of using mass media is considered to have more continuity and durability of information and accuracy in reporting.

Introduction. The issue of presence/absence of the consequences of technogenic space and rocket activity over the long period is on the agenda of the professional, social, and political communities, especially in regions were the certain territories have been appointed as the fall areas for the separated rocket vehicles parts, including the Republic of Altai.Aim of study. Identification of the chemical composition of snow samples, drinking water, and blood in the population residing in the fall areas of the separated rocket vehicle parts in the Republic of Altai.Material and methods. Identification of the chemical composition has been performed along with the quantitative determination of the content of N-nitrosamines in blood samples (n=50) in n the population who constantly live near to the fall areas of the separated rocket vehicles, as well snow samples (n=7), and drinking water (n=9). The samples were examined by a hybrid method using an Agilent gas chromatograph with a quadrupole mass spectrometric detector. In order to decrypt the results of the mass spectrometric analysis, we used the NIST Mass Spectrometry Data Library 08.L, WILEY275.L, PMW_TOX2.L., libraries of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, narcotic, herbal, toxic and contaminated substances. The quantitative determination of N-nitrosamines in the blood samples was performed by the method of chromatography-mass spectrometry.Results. During the library search, 94% of the studied blood samples in the population registered substances that can be identified as unsymmetric dimethylhydrazine and 6% of the samples contain its decomposition product N-nitrosodimethylamine. However, the probability of categorizing these impurities to the desired substances was of 4-26%. In the blood samples of residents in whom there were identified asymmetric dimethylhydrazine and N-NDMA by quantitative chromatography-mass spectrometric analysis, the tag (Alt+2) N-nitrosodimethylamine and N-nitrosodiethylamine was found in the concentration range of 0.00095-0.346 mg/dm3. In 100% of the studied drinking water samples, residual amounts of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine were identified with a low probability of matching the library mass spectrum of 12-33%.Conclusion. The conducted chromatography-mass spectrometry studies of snow samples, samples of the water, and blood of the population living near to the fall area of the separated rocket vehicle parts in the Republic of Altai allowed establishing the signs of residual quantities of dimethylhydrazine and N-nitrozodimethylamine.

Abstract:
This paper seeks to formulate an ideal concept in campaigning for religious moderation in Indonesia through the use of Facebook. There are three things that underlie this study, 1) The mass movement of radicalism in the name of religion in Social Media; 2) Potential conflicts on the basis of SARA; 3) The importance of efforts to strengthen religious moderation in Indonesia based on social media. The idea of religious moderation must be strengthened by the national movement. The library research method (library study) becomes the scientific foundation for exploring various literature, both primary and secondary related to the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia. The results of this study offer a message form and strategy in campaigning for religious moderation on Facebook. First, the form of a religious moderation campaign on Facebook must be ideologically-oriented (oriented towards changing attitudes, behavior and public views). Second, campaign messages must be informative and persuasive (based on data and facts) and can influence other Facebook users to participate in creating campaigns (social campaigns) on religious moderation. A religious moderation campaign message on Facebook does not necessarily have to content writing, it can also be an illustrative (animated) picture or a short educational video.

Abstract:
Objectives: In this study, we systematically synthesized scientific evidence on pork consumption in relation to body weight and composition among adults. Methods: We performed a keyword search using Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Google Scholar. We conducted a meta-analysis to estimate the pooled effect size of pork consumption on body weight and composition. Results: Overall, 12 studies met the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the review. Among the experimental studies without daily total energy intake restrictions, pork intake was associated with a reduction in body weight by 0.86 kg (95% CI = 0.17-1.55) and body fat percentage by 0.77% (95% CI = 0.11%-1.43%); pork intake was not associated with change in lean mass. Among the experimental studies with energy restrictions, pork intake was associated with a reduction in body weight by 5.56 kg (95% CI = 0.55-10.59), lean mass by 1.50 kg (95% CI = 1.39-1.62), and fat mass by 6.60 kg (95% CI = 6.42-6.79). Among the observational studies, pork intake was not associated with overweight/obesity. Conclusions: Findings on pork consumption in relation to body weight/composition differed by study design. Future experimental studies using representative samples are warranted to examine the effect of fresh/lean pork consumption on body weight and composition in the general population and by subgroups.

While the emotion mechanism is generally considered to be evolutionarily continuous, suggesting a certain degree of universality of emotional responding, there is evidence that emotional experience may differ across cultures and historical periods. This article extrapolates potential changes in future emotional experiences that can be expected to be caused by rapid social and technological change. Specifically, four issues are discussed: (1) the effect of social change on emotions that are strongly tied to dominant values, norms, goals, and self-ideals, like shame, guilt, contempt, and anger; (2) the effects of the use of emotion by the mass media on emotional experience and emotion socialization; (3) the effects of information technology on emotion expression and regulation; and (4) the possibility of producing artificial emotions in autonomous agents (robots). Special emphasis is placed on the class of emotions, defined here as “commotions”, that are produced by observing affect in others.

Abstract:
Significant changes in the library network development of Tambov region have occurred as a result of reforming the administrative-territorial division. The counties and townships abolition has led to a change of the libraries typology. The Central Provincial Library was first transformed into the Central District Library (before 1934), then - into the Central Municipal one (until 1937), and, finally, to the Regional one (in 1937). A specific feature of the period under review was opening a central library in each district (with a network of mobile libraries), as well as the organizing stationary libraries at enterprises and large state- and collective-farms. Urban population was mostly served by a network of trade union libraries, rural inhabitants - by a library network of the People's Commissariat of Education. In 1940 the number of public libraries in Tambov region reached 552, including 453 ones in the countryside. The network of public (mass) libraries included the following libraries: state district ones - 42, state municipal ones - 4, state rural ones - 102, state children ones - 7, village state public library and reading rooms - 158, public libraries at the regional culture houses and other club facilities - 12, collective-farm ones - 56, trade union ones - 131, public libraries of other agencies and organizations - 27. Strengthening ideological pressure on library services resulted in the tightening of censorship, mass withdrawal of the ideologically harmful literature. Collections of seized books marked «do not give masses» were created in the libraries as special funds. New editions entered the region in a limited number. In general, in the 1930s the book composition in the library stocks of Tambov region is characterized by the following data by branches of knowledge: anti-religious literature was 2,2%, social studies - 19,5%, natural science - 4,6%, applied sciences - 6,2%, agriculture - 5,1%, history and geography - 6,5%, fiction - 28,7%, others - 27,2%. The total library fund had not enough fiction and books on natural history, book sections on technology and agriculture needed accession. By the beginning of 1941 the amount of the public libraries fund in Tambov region was totaled 843,948 copies. To improve significantly the level of library service the nation-wide measures have been taken, among them were the following: Library Campaign, All-Union Library Census, All-Union competition for the best area on performing the librarianship in the countryside. They were aimed at drawing public attention to the serious problems existed in the librarianship. However, the Library Campaign was not properly developed in Tambov region. Scanty funding, general unpreparedness, inadequate qualifications of librarians and other factors affected negatively to achieve this goal.

It is shown how the organizational structure of services has historically changed; in what periods, in addition to the Reading room, there appeared Lending department, Extension library service, Reference and bibliographic division, Mass work department, Media library, Center for legal and social information, Remote library service, etc. There are proved the reasons caused the emergence of new structural divisions: changes in society and culture, growth of the number of users, increase in demand for separate types of documents, etc. There are presented characteristic features of structuring within library and information services: the category of users, the form of service provided and terms of receiving the service, the area or subject of documents, the type of documents, the language of the document text, the function performed by the employee. The analysis of structure of library and information services of 55 regional libraries of the Russian Federation is presented. There are compared the structures of these libraries in 1980 and now. It is shown that changes in the structure of library and information services are associated with the use of modern information and communication technologies, certain steps in humanization of society in relation to people with disabilities and other socially vulnerable groups of the population, with the aim to preserve the tradition of reading, regional culture, culture of small peoples, as well as the need to attract a significant number of people to the library as an information and cultural centre, and to make it attractive for the young people.

Abstract:
Purpose Community-governed mass collaborations are virtual organizations in which volunteers self-organize to produce content of value. Given the high turnover of participants and the continual development and modification of governance modules, questions arise about how mass collaborations can succeed. Based on organizational routine theory, the purpose of this paper is to investigate how different aspects of routines can support the goals of mass collaborations. Design/methodology/approach Proposed hypotheses are developed and tested with data from a critical decision-making area of a successful community-governed mass collaboration – Wikipedia’s content review process. Findings The findings support the arguments that routines that reinforce governance serve important roles in enabling mass collaboration in the presence of transient participation and dynamic task demands in addition to creating a greater likelihood of success as outlined by the collaboration. Research limitations/implications One limitation of this study is that it examines these types of routines in only one context, Wikipedia’s content review process, and Wikipedia is an unusually successful, community-governed mass collaboration. However, this can be considered a conservative test as mass collaborations in more formal contexts or in traditional organizations face fewer hurdles due to more stable social norms, routines, and participant populations. Practical implications Greater understanding of how community-governed mass collaborations “get the work done” in spite of participant transience and governance flux can guide developers in managing flourishing communities. Originality/value While routines have been studied in traditional organizations, little work has been done with routines in community-governed mass collaborations and how they enable both stability and flexibility.

Abstract:
The article analyses characteristic features of the formation of system of secondary specialized library institutions in Ukraine in the 1920s — 1950s, as well as various professional courses and secondary technical schools that trained library specialists. The purpose of this article is to reveal the distinctive features, the main factors and stages of formation and development of secondary specialized library education in the Ukrainian SSR in the 1920s — 1950s, to characterize the varieties, features of creation and development of technical schools, which trained library specialists of mid-level management, especially library technical schools. The author used both general scientific research methods (description, comparison, analogy, deduction, induction, analysis, etc.) and historical (historical-comparative, historical-typological, historical-diachronic, chronological) methods. The author proves that in the second half of the 1930s, the country developed the system of secondary specialized library education, consisting both of training courses, retraining of specialists and also of a number of special educational institutions — various types of technical schools and other institutions where librarians were trained. In particular, there was formed the network of special library technical schools. Based on the analysis of historical, socio-political, cultural and other social factors, the author proposes periodization of formation and development of secondary special educational institutions, which trained library workers. Training of specialists in library technical schools and other secondary institutions became the basis for the formation of human resource of librarians of mid-level qualification for the different types of libraries (mainly for mass). The results and conclusions of this work can serve as a source material for further research on the history of secondary special library education; the material can be used in the special course lectures on the history of library education.

Abstract:
The following paper presents an exploration of the history of books and libraries in conjunction with the development of historical reading practices, focusing on the culturally rich periods spanning from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment. The study combines literary theory and learning theories with a historical survey of the social and cultural milieu during the Renaissance and Enlightenment eras, which influenced the reader's perception of engagement with books and reading. More specifically, the article delves into: a) the interplay between publishing output, library functions, and reader-text dynamics, b) the impact of mass information dissemination on the reading skills prevalent in each era, using specific historical periods as case studies and c) the role of literary salons and the circulation of journals during the Enlightenment era in shaping the archetype of the recreational reader, as observed in contemporary reading communities, library environments and educational settings.

Abstract:
This article examines the religious authority contestation among study groups in Langsa City, Aceh. The existence of a diversity of study groups does not mean the people there accept the existing plurality. Apart from the growth of religious authority from the Traditional Islamic community, several things also influence it. So the diversity phenomena in religion often become a mass struggle. This research is included in field-library research with qualitative analysis. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observation in the study groups. The data were analyzed using a sociology approach and social theory. This article presents two significant findings, including scientific contestation developed by each study group and mass struggle as a confirmation of the authority holder. These two pieces of evidence show that the spread of religious authorities does not necessarily make people accept plurality in religion. Furthermore, Islamic law in Aceh tends to always be in religious contestation.
