Abstract:
Abstract This article deals with the linguistic competition of the possessive genitive and possessive adjectives in contemporary spoken Czech language. It focuses on the differences between the constructions of the type Barbořin byt (Barbora’s flat), byt (naší) Barbory (the flat of (our) Barbora) and (naší) Barbory byt ((our) Barbora’s flat). The paper’s aimis to find out which of the possessive structures are preferred by speakers (and alternatively for what reason) or whether the frequency of their usage is equal. At first, both ways of expressing the possession with all their restrictions are described from the theoretical point of view. Moreover, the semantic relation of possessivity is specified. The next section suggests the influences which may govern the preference of the speaker. Within empirical research, data from the corpus of spoken Czech (ORALv1) are examined and it is seeked for explanation of factors that influence the choice of the structure. This also demonstrates whether one of the possessive structures has a dominant position or whether they occur in similar numbers.

The article provides information on the cultural life of the small town of Sobotka near Jičín and its surroundings during the National Revival. In its short introduction, it presents its main cultural activities from the 14th century while focusing on significant figures of the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century: the burgher Raymund Šolc and the priests Antonín Marek, František Vetešník and Damián Šimůnek. It draws particular attention to their libraries and the spread of Czech books. It also mentions other important inhabitants of the town, such as the saleswoman Barbora Pavienská or the shoemaker Josef Novák.

The war in Iraq through the eyes of Polish and Czech reporters: The example of texts by Paweł Smoleński, Mariusz Zawadzki, Michal Kubal, František Šulc and Barbora ŠámalováThis paper analyzes three reportage books focusing on the war in Iraq in 2003. Two reportages are Polish, the authors of the third book are Czech journalists. Paweł Smoleński focuses primarily on the knowledge of Iraqi culture and mentality in the face of building a new Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein. The armed conflict itself remains somewhat in the background of the reporter’s interest. Smoleński’s texts are closest to so-called literary coverage. Mariusz Zawadzki as an embedded correspondent — among other things — accompanied U.S. troops to cover combat operations. The texts of Czech reporters, some of which were in Iraq since the very beginning, are closer to the so-called “feature”. In addition, they are stylized as a reporter quasi-diary.

Šio straipsnio tikslas – aprašyti ir įvertinti posternotominio mediastinito gydymo didžiosios taukinės pakėlimu (omentoplastika) vėlyvuosius rezultatus. Ligoniai ir metodaiPo taukinės pakėlimo operacijos praėjus vidutiniškai 4,3 metų buvo atlikta 6 pacientų apklausa, apžiūra, pacientai užpildė gyvenimo kokybės klausimyną SF-36. Keturi pacientai, kurių priešoperaciniai spirometrijos duomenys buvo žinomi, mėginius atliko pakartotinai. RezultataiIš šešių pacientų keturi jaučia krūtinės ląstos skausmą, penki – krūtinės ląstos nestabilumo simptomus, penkiems susiformavo pooperacinės baltosios pilvo linijos išvarža. Visų pacientų su sveikata susijusi gyvenimo kokybė prastesnė negu daugumos. Visų pacientų FEV1 ir FVC rodikliai sumažėjo, palyginti su buvusiais prieš operaciją. IšvadosOmentopastika gydyti pacientai dažniau jaučia skausmą, krūtinės ląstos nestabilumo simptomus, jiems formuojasi baltosios pilvo linijos išvaržos, vystosi restrikcinis kvėpavimo funkcijos sutrikimas, jų gyvenimo kokybė blogesnė.Omentoplastika – veiksmingas, tačiau žalojantis pūlinio mediastinito gydymo metodas. These characteristics make it ideal for use in reconstruction of large contaminated spaces. The aim of this article is to describe and evaluate long-term results of poststernotomy mediastinitis treatment by transposition of the greater omentum. MethodsOn the average 4.3 years after transposition of the greater omentum, six patients were asked about their complaints, an inspection was performed and they completed the SF-36 health survey. Four patients with known preoperative spirometry results repeated the test. ResultsFour of six patients feel chest pain, five of six feel symptoms of chest instability, and five of six had a history of herniation after the transposition of the greater omentum. All the patients had a lower than average life quality. All the patients had lower FEV1 and FVC values compared to the preoperative ones. ConclusionsPatients treated by the transposition of the greater omentum more often feel pain, symptoms of chest instability, are prone to herniation, have restrictive respiratory insufficiency and a lower life quality.Omental flap transposition is an effective though damaging method of treatment. Keywords: median sternotomy, mediastinitis, omental transposition, greater omentum.

The Cyana dohertyi (Elwes, 1890) species-group was erected by Volynkin et al. (2017) and characterized in details by Volynkin et al. (2019). The group is most diverse in mainland China and northern Indochina and comprises 16 valid species and two subspecies (Volynkin et al. 2019; Singh et al. 2020). During a lepidopterological expedition to the northwestern part of China’s Sichuan Province in June and July of 2019, a series of specimens of both sexes of an unidentified Cyana species was collected. The species is closely related to Cyana abiens Fang, 1992 known from the Chinese Shaanxi and Gansu Provinces. However, the specimens collected in Sichuan and C. abiens have conspicuous external and genital differences and the Sichuan population represents another species, which is described below as new.

[full article, abstract in English; only abstract in Lithuanian] The paper deals with the problem of the “two Barbaras” in the Aristotelian modal syllogistic. The problem consists in Aristotle’s differing views on two at a first sight similar in nature syllogisms of mixed assertoric (X) and necessary (L) premises: Barbara LXL and Barbara XLL. The fact that Aristotle believed the first syllogism to be valid and the second one – not, has been received either 1) negatively, because both Barbaras have been held to be invalid, or 2) negatively, because both Barbaras have been held to be valid, or 3) positively, by giving a reason why the two Barbaras differ. We commit ourselves to the position (3) by proving that modal propositions for Aristotle have their modalities de dicto and that Aristotelian modal operators act according to their own separate rules where only the type of the modality of a major premise is relevant for the modal status of the conclusion.

Abstract:
The Broumov group of churches represents an integral part of Bohemian baroque architecture. The famous Dientzenhofer family of architects, that helped define the Bohemian baroque style in the early 18th century, designed the Broumov group for the governing Benedictine abbey of St. Wenceslaw in Broumov. This report summarizes a structural investigation, using FIN10 finite element software, into the stability and efficiency of the roof trusses design. The structures age and current state were taken into account in calculating both the applied loads and structural capacity by increasing loads and reducing material strength. A damage analysis, including identification of fungi species, was performed, documented and implemented in a three-dimensional model for comparison with undamaged results. Magnitude and distribution of axial and bending forces were determined using both two dimensional and three-dimensional models for several load cases. Using the comparison of 1st order and 2nd order structural analysis results and Eurocode specified criteria, critical and unnecessary members of the roof system were identified and evaluated. Classical linear elastic 2nd order theory was used based of Eulerian principles, ignoring geometrical non-linearity and non-linear material effects. The main analysis was performed on the St. Ann church in Viznov and St. Barbora church in Otovice.

Em inícios do século XIX foi publicada, postumamente, a <em>Grammatica Philosophica da Lingua Portugueza </em>(1822) da autoria de Jerónimo Soares Barbosa, que conheceu, ao longo deste século, sete edições (1822, 1830, 1862, 1866, 1871, 1875, 1881). Dada a importância desta obra, impressa sob a chancela da Academia Real das Ciências, vários foram os autores que a ela se referiram, seja para a adotar como modelo, seja para a criticar. Francisco Solano Constâncio, autor da <em>Grammatica analytica da lingua portugueza</em>, é um desses exemplos. Ao longo desta gramática, referencia frequentemente esta obra de Soares Barbosa, apresentando, inclusive, na parte quinta, dedicada ao estudo da ortografia, um conjunto de considerações críticas acerca da doutrina ortográfica barboseana. An analysis of available data onAlectorisspp. reveals the importance of intermediate hosts such as arthropods and earthworms in the diet of partridges. Terrestrial helminths are dominant species, with monoxenous and heteroxenous species being present in similar numbers in differentAlectorisspecies along their geographical distribution. Helminth species found in Tenerife fromA. barbaraare poor indicators of the host colonization from North Africa because these helminths are species that are commonly found in fowl with a cosmopolitan distribution.

A propagação das espécies de “muricis” é afetada pela dormência de suas sementes, e como ainda, não há um consenso sobre a causa e o método a ser utilizado para superar a dormência, objetivou-se, avaliar a resposta da fratura e integridade dos pirênios embebidos em água e GA3 na germinação de “muricis” (Byrsonima crassifolia (L.) Kunth., B. verbascifolia (L.) DC. e B. coccolobifolia Kunth.), de áreas de savanas de Boa Vista, Roraima. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento inteiramente casualizado e esquema fatorial 3x3, composto por três espécies e três tratamentos pré-geminativos, com quatro repetições de 25 pirênios. Os tratamentos consistiram de pirênios imersos em solução de ácido giberélico (500 mg L-1), durante 48 horas e íntegros; imersos em água destilada, durante 48 horas e fraturados; e imersos em água destilada, durante 48 horas e íntegros. Os pirênios pertencem ao mesmo gênero, mas as espécies respodem de forma diferente aos tratamentos pré-germinativos para início, tempo médio e porcentagem de germinação, porém a imersão dos pirênios íntegros e em solução de ácido giberélico, foi o tratamento mais eficiente para superar a dormência nas sementes das três espécies de “muricis”.

The gnorimoschemine taxa (of the gelechiid moths) Insuloschema barbarae gen. n., sp. n. and two species of the genus Keiferia Busck, 1939, viz. Keiferia educata sp. n. and Keiferia powelli sp. n. are described from California. The first taxon is obviously endemic to one of the most interesting Channel Islands called Santa Barbara and it corroborates its unique history. The two newly described species of Keiferia enrich essentially the number of species existing in California and in the Nearctic realm generally. Moths and their genitalia are figured within the description.

Prispevek na osnovi Zosimovega poročila in s pomočjo podatkov, ki jih prinašajo Pakatov panegirik v čast cesarju Teodoziju, poročila o uporu prebivalcev Tesalonike leta 390 ter 1. julija 391 izdani, na vse prebivalce provinc naslovljeni zakon o ravnanju v primeru napada razbojnikov, predstavlja možen potek in okoliščine te nad upornimi barbari izbojevane Teodozijeve zmage.

Abstract:
The article shows 12 dialectal phrasemes appearing in numerous variants concerning phonology (e.g. żarło/zarło), inflection (e.g. oko/oczy), word formation (e.g. woza/wózka) and lexis (most numerous). Euphemisms are interesting types (e.g. diabli/bogowie, gówno/ kompot). The analysis of numerous variants of a given phraseme confirms A.M. Lewicki’s thesis (1976) that it is the semantic and syntactic patterns, rather than particular lexemes that determine the identity of a phraseological expression. For example, the two expressions coś komuś strzeliło do łba and pizło komuś do czepani are regarded as variants of one phrase, although their lexis is different. Examining phraseme variants rather than particular appearances makes understanding of their meaning (eg. Objechał kraki maki versus Uobjechał Krakóf i Makóf) and strange syntax (eg. Święta Barbara po lodzie... versus Jak na świętą Barbarę chodzi gęś po lodzie...) possible.

W artykule omówiono literacki wizerunek królowej Bony w polskich dramatach dziewiętnasto- i dwudziestowiecznych oraz podjęto próbę zrozumienia jego genezy. Akcja większości omawianych utworów, napisanych w XIX i na początku XX wieku, zainspirowana jest burzliwymi losami małżeństwa Zygmunta Augusta z Barbarą Radziwiłłówną, a postać Bony, odmalowana w ciemnych barwach, przeciwstawiona jest nadmiernie wyidealizowanej postaci Barbary. Królową z rodu Sforzów ukazano jako kobietę zaślepioną nienawiścią i żądną władzy, sprytną i pozbawioną skrupułów intrygantkę, bezlitosną trucicielkę, a także cudzoziemkę, która działa na szkodę Polaków i wprowadza w życie kontrowersyjne nauki swojego rodaka Machiavellego. Ten negatywny wizerunek, niezgodny z rzeczywistością historyczną, z biegiem lat coraz bardziej traci na wyrazistości, by zmienić się radykalnie w utworach powstałych po drugiej wojnie światowej za sprawą bardziej krytycznego ukazania Barbary. Ze złej i wrogiej Polsce monarchini Bona staje się mądrą władczynią i dalekowzrocznym politykiem, broniącym interesów przybranej ojczyzny. W dalszej części artykułu omówiono skrajnie różny sposób przedstawienia królowej Bony w dwóch dramatach rozgrywających się w Bari i niezainspirowanych małżeństwem Zygmunta Augusta. Dodatkowo ukazano dzieje sceniczne jednego z tych utworów.

Omówienie książki Barbary Hollender Od Munka do Maślony (2017), która jest trzecim ogniwem cyklu po poprzednio wydanych tomach Od Wajdy do Komasy (2014) i Od Kutza do Czekaja (2016). Ciężar gatunkowy tej pracy nie sprowadza się do dokumentacji, a ambicją Hollender nie było stworzenie leksykonu. Jej książka stanowi niebanalną rekonstrukcję biograficzną, która opiera się na świadectwach reżyserów, jednak ostatecznie swój kształt zawdzięcza ich rozmówczyni – autorce. Barbara Hollender opisała przemiany kulturowe, które wpłynęły na kształt dzisiejszego polskiego kina. Wyróżniła kilka punktów granicznych związanych z historią najnowszą, poczynając od polskiej szkoły filmowej, przez kino moralnego niepokoju, które w drugiej połowie lat 70. wyraziło jej – wówczas młodej dziewczyny – własny bunt i osobiste tęsknoty. Ostatnim z tych punktów, szczególnie eksponowanym, jest przemiana ustrojowa po 1989 r. Narracja jest prowadzona ponad podziałami zarówno generacyjnymi, jak i tymi wynikającymi z doświadczenia czy stylu. Bohaterowie książki, nawet jeśli należą do jednego pokolenia, nie tworzą wspólnych manifestów ani nie realizują jednolitego – światopoglądowo czy estetycznie – programu. Portret zbiorowy rozszczepia się na wyraziste, zindywidualizowane wizerunki.

His Work and His Times (2018) pod redakcją Barbary Osterloff została wydana przez warszawską Akademię Teatralną i jest pokłosiem międzynarodowej sesji poświęconej temu artyście. Każdy z tekstów został wydrukowany w dwóch wersjach językowych – polskiej i angielskiej. Obok tekstów autorów polskich (m.in. Barbara Osterloff, Marek Kulesza, Joanna Wojnicka, Patrycja Włodek, Maciej Wojtyszko) znajdziemy tam eseje badaczy amerykańskich (Tino Balio czy Sharon Marie Carnicke) bądź rosyjskich (Siergiej Czerkasski, Polina Stiepanowa, Nadieżda Szybajewa). Bolesławski (1889-1937) był reżyserem teatralnym i filmowym, aktorem i nauczycielem aktorstwa, a także autorem teorii gry aktorskiej, którą sformułował w zbiorze wykładów Aktorstwo. Sześć pierwszych lekcji. Zrobił karierę w Hollywood (zrealizował tam dwadzieścia filmów), jednak pozostaje niedoceniony w ojczyźnie. Tom ma przywrócić mu należne miejsce w rodzimej historii teatru i filmu. Prezentuje szeroką skalę jego aktywności artystycznej, unikając jednak tonu hagiograficznego. Na uwagę zasługują zwłaszcza teksty poświęcone jego teorii aktorstwa, która zyskała rangę międzynarodową i jest praktykowana do dziś.

Kult św. Barbary w środowisku zawodowym górników na przestrzeni ostatnich dwóch wieków przyjmował wiele zróżnicowanych form. Jego rozwój na Górnym Śląsku kształtował się od pierwszej połowy XIX stulecia i ma związek z intensywnym rozwojem przemysłu wydobywczego na tym obszarze. W artykule omówiono najbardziej charakterystyczne materialne i niematerialne przejawy czci oddawane św. Barbarze. Wspomniano o kościołach i kaplicach pod jej wezwaniem, obrazach i figurach przedstawiających patronkę górników w obiektach sakralnych oraz w rodzinach górniczych, modlitwach, a także o obchodzeniu 4 grudnia święta patronalnego i jednocześnie zawodowego, tzw. Barbórki, która (jako element tradycji górniczych, pielęgnowana w kolejnych pokoleniach górników) została w 2018 roku wpisana na krajową Listę Niematerialnego Dziedzictwa Kulturowego. W ostatnim czasie można zauważyć nowe praktyki wśród górników, np. wykonywanie tatuaży przedstawiających św. Barbarę.

The Indigenous Land (TI) Pimentel Barbosa, of the Xavante ethnic group, is located in the region with the highest annual burning activity in the world, denoting the need for timely and accurate monitoring of the space-time patterns of fire occurrence. In this sense, the present study aimed to characterize the occurrences of burning in that TI, between the years 1984 to 2018, relating them to the different types of vegetation and land use present in it. Burn scars were identified and mapped, based on images from the Landsat program, and were analyzed for their spatial distribution and recurrence, including the aspect of plant typology and land use. In 34 years, TI burned an area of more than 1,500%, with the record of burning more than half of the area in several years, with no spatial pattern that expresses the practices traditionally used. Savanna vegetable types and agricultural use accounted for more than 90% of the affected area. In all types and use, recurrence classified as medium or high, from 9 to 34 recurrences (i.e., some TI areas were burned every year) predominated. 20 times was the most common recurrence, being at odds with what is recommended in the literature. The change in the territorial structure and the integration with the Brazilian culture pattern are indicated as elementary responsible for the establishment of the identified burning scenario, making some actions necessary, such as, for example, the traditional rescue of fire management, so that the fires can be used as a sustainable tool.

L'articolo prende spunto dalla considerazione dei rapidi mutamenti della societŕ attuale intesi come fattori che influiscono nel contesto clinico della terapia di coppia. La tesi di Bauman circa la societŕ "liquida" e le sue dinamiche relazionali viene messa a confronto con l'idea di Baricco espressa nel libro I Barbari circa la genesi di modalitŕ nuove di vivere l'esperienza. L'articolo si sofferma su alcuni concetti come: «rete di sistemi passanti e fluiditŕ», che ben si adattano alla descrizione degli aspetti fondanti le relazioni affettive che Bauman evidenzia come caratteristiche di rapporti che assomigliano di piů a "connessioni" intese come legami condensati e superficiali per proteggere dal rischio di coinvolgimenti affettivi avvertiti come obblighi. Il cambiamento riguarderebbe aspetti importanti della vita e delle relazioni interpersonali come ad esempio: la superficie al posto della profonditŕ, le sequenze e la velocitŕ al posto della riflessione. In generale la descrizione della societŕ "barbara" e della societŕ "liquida" si fonda sulla tesi di una mutazione profonda del concetto di "esperienza" e di una nuova dislocazione del concetto di «senso nel tessuto dell'esperienza».

Vážení čtenáři, milé kolegyně a milí kolegové, přátelé celoživotního vzdělávání, právě si prohlížíte třetí číslo časopisu Lifelong Learning – Celoživotní vzdělávání, které formálně patří ještě do roku 2020. Na tento rok budeme určitě ještě dlouho vzpomínat – a s poukazem na celosvětové události pravděpodobně ne úplně v dobrém. Doufejme, že rok 2021 bude alespoň o něco lepší a neponese v podobném – koronavirovém – duchu. Určitě vás zajímá, co zajímavého se v tomto čísle dočtete. Toto polytematické číslo vám nabízí tři studie, jednu recenzi a jednu zprávu. Kolegyně Lenka Emrová z Masarykova ústavu vyšších studií Českého vysokého učení technického v Praze se ve svém příspěvku zaměřuje na oblast zdravotnictví a zabývá se vnímáním sociálních kompetencí lékaře. Akcentuje zde potřebu sociálněpsychologické průpravy lékařů jak v pregraduální přípravě, tak i v postgraduální fázi, při výkonu povolání. Konkrétně se zaměřila na obor gynekologie. Při svém výzkumu realizovala ohniskové skupiny s lékaři a rozhovory s pacientkami. K jakým výsledkům došla, tedy jaké kompetence preferuje pro svoji vzájemnou interakci jedna či druhá skupina, se dočtete v její zajímavé studii. Přátelé z Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Konštantina Filozofa v Nitre Ctibor Határ a Petra Jedličková se rozhodli ve své studii věnovat problematice aktivního stárnutí a aktivního stáří. Porovnávají a analyzují vzdělávací a sociální politiky tří států – konkrétně Slovenska, Německa a Španělska. Při své práci využívali zejména metod srovnávací andragogiky. Pomocí obsahové analýzy národních dokumentů tak dokázali identifikovat určité společné i rozdílné znaky. Aktuálnost tématu této studie rozhodně vzbuzuje touhu po jejím přečtení. Jedním z velmi zajímavých témat současnosti je také mezigenerační vzdělávání, kterému se věnujeme i u nás na Mendelově univerzitě v Brně. Kolegyně Barbora Tallová z Fakulty humanitních studií Univerzity Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně představuje ve svém článku téma mezigeneračních vztahů na příkladu dětí předškolního věku a seniorů. Pokládá si otázku, jaké jsou možnosti podpory těchto vztahů mezi uvedenými skupinami a do jaké míry se na jejich rozvoji podílejí různé mezigenerační projekty či rodinné prostředí. Petr Novotný s Miroslavou Dvořákovou z Ústavu pedagogických věd Filozofické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity nám zaslali k otištění zajímavou recenzní stať k publikaci Michala Černého, který nedávno vydal monografii pod názvem Digitální kompetence v transdisciplinárním nahlédnutí: mezi filosofií, sociologií, pedagogikou a informační vědou. Jejich podnětnou reflexi této knihy je určitě možné doporučit. I v letošním roce, konkrétně 9. září 2020, proběhla v brněnském hotelu Avanti pod záštitou rektorky Mendelovy univerzity v Brně, hejtmana Jihomoravského kraje a dalších významných osobností mezinárodní vědecká konference ICOLLE 2020, které se zúčastnili zástupci z několika evropských zemí. Podrobnou zprávu shrnující veškeré podstatné informace o této události připravila vedoucí marketingového oddělení vysokoškolského ústavu Institutu celoživotního vzdělávání Martina Urbánková. This article discusses how the FOX television series Gotham (2014–19) fits the overall definition of a traditional Male (Horror) Gothic text and how disruptive female characters, like Barbara Kean, push against these seemingly strict Gothic boundaries. Through the development of the bisexual character Barbara Kean, the conservative, Male Gothic foundation is ultimately questioned in the US television series. Gotham’s portrayal of Barbara not only propagates bisexual stereotypes, but it also speaks to the larger discussion of bisexual aversion and eventual erasure present in many media texts. Additionally, Gotham employs the depraved bisexual trope, in which bisexual characters, like Barbara, are shown to be duplicitous. Barbara Kean, however, transgresses the boundaries of the Male Gothic tradition and thrives within the narrative structure of Gotham.
