Abstract:
For most people, snacks are one of the things that must be available at home and at work. Whether it's, when doing activities or relaxing, light snacks can always be the perfect companion to make the mood more elevated and also increase productivity. Among the wide variety of snacks to choose from, chips remain a favorite for some. With a crunchy texture and practical for consumption, chips seem to be unable to miss attention when choosing snacks to be used as stock at home. The flavor variants of chips are also diverse so that they are easier to adjust to taste, some are savory, salty, and also spicy. There is also a variant of chips with a sweet taste that is not only addictive, namely banana chips (Banana Chips). Banana chips are very suitable as a snack that is able to pamper the tongue, as well as meet the needs of important nutrients in the body. Banana Fruit Itself has about 136 calories for every 100 grams which overall comes from carbohydrates that have health and nutritional benefits, so it needs to be spread in the community. This community service program aims to provide solutions to problems that exist in Gunungsari village specifically for banana chip producers, namely the lack of quality of goods sold and produced in the area. Therefore, coaching program activities are carried out starting from increasing the understanding of the target community related to the processing of bananas into various innovative products, as well as providing knowledge of the benefits of bananas from nutritional and health aspects

Abstract:
Introduction: Low mood condition is related to a low level of brain serotonin. An early sign of depression with low mood symptoms is generally treated with psychotropic drugs that work as selective serotonin reuptake and monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (one of which is sertraline), to increase serotonin levels in the brain. There are some concerns regarding side effects available medication like serotonin syndrome, suicidality and aggressive behavior. Thus, development of alternative herbal products made from a combination of pineapple and banana extract with less side effect and its potential affinity with serotonin regulation is important. Aim of the study: To determine potential herbal rich (banana and pineapple) of L-tryptophan and potential active compounds interaction with the human serotonin transporter. Method: In the present study, using in silico molecular docking techniques, the active compound of banana and pineapple and its potential interaction with human serotonin transporter were assed. Docking study explored the bioactive compounds interactions with specific target like catechin, dopamine, epigallocatechin, gallic acid, L-tryptophan, malvidin, norepinephrine, pelargonidin, peonidin, and serotonin. Molecular docking simulations were performed using AutoDock 4.2 software. The docking method was validated first by re-docking sertraline (nature ligand) in a complex with PDB ID: 6AWO against the target receptor (SERT). Result: The molecular docking results had showed that L-tryptophan, peonidin, and catechin could bind to esential amino acid residues in the binding pocket, with binding affinity -5.69, -8.63, -8.24 kcal/mol respectively. Conclusion: L-tryptophan, peonidin, and catechin are the most promising compounds that have good potency as anti-depressant agents through SERT inhibitory activity. This compounds in bananas and pineapples have the potential to affect serotonin transporter receptors that play a role in mood and behavior.

Abstract:
In banana, the maternal transmission of chloroplast DNA and paternal transmission of the mitochondrial DNA provides an exceptional opportunity for studying the maternal and paternal lineage of clones. In the present study, RFLP combined with hybridization of heterologous mitochondrial and chloroplastic probes have been used to characterize 71 wild accessions and 131 diploid and 103 triploid cultivated clones. In additon to Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana, other species from the four Musa sections were studied to investigate their contribution to the origin of cultivated bananas. These molecular analyses enable the classification of the Musa complex to be discussed. Results ascertain relationships among and between the wild accessions and the mono- and interspecific diploid and triploid bananas, particularly for the acuminata genome. Parthenocarpic varieties are shown to be linked to M. acuminata banksii and M. acuminata errans, thus suggesting that the first center of domestication was in the Philippines – New Guinea area.Key words: Musa, RFLP, cpDNA, mtDNA, lineage.

Abstract:
A survey study was conducted to estimate the cost, returns, relative profitability and practices of Pineapple mono-crop and Pineapple inter-crops production in Madhupur area of Tangail District. Data was collected personally through prepared interview schedule from 60 randomly selected Pineapple growers from Ausnara, Oronkhola, Sonia and Motel bazar union under Madhupur Upazila of Tangail District during July to October 2013. A simple random sampling was followed to select the farmers in the study area. Both tabular and statistical analyses were applied in this study. Cost and return analysis showed that total cost incurred for producing Pineapple mono crop, Pineapple+Papaya and Pineapple+Banana+Aroid were Tk.312849.72, Tk.395894.01 and Tk.377013.25 per hectare respectively. Per hectare net return for Pineapple + Papaya and Pineapple + Banana + Aroid production were Tk.492111.00 and Tk.195704.75 which were higher than that of Pineapple mono crop (Tk.157675.28). On the other hand BCR for Pineapple + Papaya and Pineapple + Banana + Aroid production were 2.24 and 1.52 which were higher than that of Pineapple mono crop (1.50). It represents that both pineapple mono-crop and pineapple inter-crops production are profitable among them Pineapple-inter crops cropping pattern is more profitable then Pineapple-mono crop. About 80% of pineapple growers grow papaya, banana, zinger, turmeric and aroids as intercrops with pineapple. The study identified some crucial problems and probable solutions suggested by the farmer. Finally, some policy recommendations were suggested and avenues for further research were shown. Abstract:
This deals to study the effect of different underutilized, cheap and readily available flours from rice, sorghum, unripe banana, water chestnut and moong and their mixtures on dough, flatbread and sensory characteristic of gluten free flatbread. D-optimal mixture design approach was utilized for the study. Dough stickiness decreased with increasing concentration of unripe banana and sorghum flour. Dough strength was positively influenced by rice and moong flour. Tear force values were higher at higher sorghum concentration. Higher levels of sorghum and rice tend to possess higher scores for sensory acceptability. Optimum dough and flatbread qualities were obtained with the optimized sample (Gluten free formulation) containing flours from rice (60%), sorghum (10%), unripe banana (5%), water chestnut (15%) and moong (10%). Model was found to be valid statistically. Further, this mix was compared with whole wheat flour for pasting and rheological properties and found to possess comparable properties.

Abstract:
Postpubescent females may have negative mood or premenstrual syndrome during the menstrual cycle; with the emotional and physical symptoms interfering with their quality of life. Little is known about the relationship of dietary behaviors and dietary antioxidant intake with negative mood or premenstrual syndrome in university students in China; so we explored the relationship between negative mood and dietary behavior in female university students during the three menstrual cycle phases. Random sampling was used to enroll 88 individuals from a university in Guangzhou; China in the study. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed. During the menstrual phase, tea, black coffee and carbonated beverage intake was higher in the group with a high negative affect scale score than in the low score group (p < 0.05). Likewise; during the premenstrual phase, fresh fruit (banana and red Chinese dates) intake was higher in the group with a high negative affect scale score than in the low-score group (p < 0.05). The logistic regression analysis results showed that negative mood was positively associated with tea, coffee, and carbonated beverage intake during the menstrual phase (β = 0.21, p = 0.0453, odds ratio = 1.23), and negative mood was positively associated with banana and red Chinese dates intake during the premenstrual phase (β = 0.59, p = 0.0172, odds ratio = 1.81). Our results suggest that negative mood may be associated with diet and specific food in university postpubescent females.

Abstract:
In the early 1990s, with my plant pathologist colleague, Liz Aitken, we attempted to convince the Australian banana industry that it was an essential long-term strategy for them to invest in banana genetic improvement. The local industry (like most others around the world) was based almost entirely on a single cultivar, the Cavendish banana. If you know your bananas, you will also know that the Cavendish, while a worthy workhorse, is not exactly the most flavoursome banana around. In addition to that, Cavendish bananas are vulnerable to some pretty savage fungal pathogens, including a couple of foliar pathogens known as yellow Sigatoka, and black Sigatoka, after the Sigatoka Valley in Fiji where they were first recorded. These pathogens are pretty lame though, because while they are economically troublesome, they can be controlled by regular application of fungicides and sanitation measures. This however is not the case with the biggest threat to banana production worldwide.

Abstract:
Chapter 6 discusses the recruitment of Okinawan workers into the phosphate industry in the Pacific prior to the Japanese state’s colonization of the northern Mariana, Marshall, and Caroline islands. By documenting the over three hundred workers from Okinawa who were transported to Banaba Island between 1908 and 1910 to toil as semi-skilled workers for the Pacific Phosphate Company, it rejects prevailing understandings of mainland Japanese and Okinawans as merely differentially privileged agents of settler colonialism in the Pacific, instead tracing the way that dispossessed Indigenous Okinawan people were made complicit in the dispossession of Indigenous people in another locale through settlement. It highlights Okinawans historical role as a disposable, colonial workforce and therefore reads the extension of the Farm Household Survey project to Okinawa in 1930 as an instrument of colonial rule rather than national consolidation.

Abstract:
Generating predictive 3D modelling and virtual reality (VR) of the World Cultural Heritage of ruins of the Buddhist vihara at Paharpur, Bangladesh, is the ultimate notion of this research paper. In Bangladesh archaeology, it is a new paradigm to generate the predictive 3D models of the ruined structures in real mood and develop a VR to organise a journey from ruins mood to near to real mood. It will help to forecast the past virtually through the journey of present towards past. Futuristic forecasting is the normalised phenomenon in statistical analysis, despite the archaeologist’s motto, which is to predict the past. Methodologically, philosophising the vihara architecture of the Bangla region by following Vajrayana Buddhism is the first step. Then, information technology and archaeological data enable the 3D model generation of a known structure, producing high-quality outputs of the historic site for digital conservation. Finally, 3D predictive modelling has been achieved by supporting the integrated and interactive consideration of data, established 3D modelling and VR generating tools, and the guidance of the London Charter of 2006 and the Seville Principle of 2011 for the regenerating of the cultural heritage of ruins of the Buddhist vihara at Paharpur, Bangladesh.

Abstract:
Cameroon has a diverse natural environment with five agro-ecological zones that support the cultivation of many crops. The country relies mainly on agriculture, with main export crops such as cocoa, coffee, cotton and banana. The agricultural sector occupies an average of about 47 million hectares of land with different production system practices such as mono cropping, mixed cropping, intercropping etc. Biotic factors are major constraints. These biotic constraints are seriously hindering the crop production, resulting to pre-and post-harvest losses and lower yields. These pests are mainly from the arthropod, vertebrate, mollusk, weeds and nematode groups and disease-causing pathogen such as fungi, viruses and bacteria. With these constraints famers in developing world like Cameroon are forced to look for ways to control these pests and pathogens which lead to the use of numerous preventive and curative techniques including the use of insecticides. Using insecticides is not against the law but the application methods and the supply routes carried out by farmers and traders respectively might be bad. This is why this chapter reviews the insecticides supply routes, registration procedure and registered insecticides, insecticidal application with its malpractices while looking at its intoxication as well as the alternatives to the use of synthetic insecticides in Cameroon and make possible recommendations to promote judicious use of insecticides in Cameroon.

Abstract:
Home is a place of belongingness and homeless mentally ill people form a highly vulnerable group. The vicious cycle of poverty, ill health, and homelessness in India makes the context even more pertinent. Various definitions exist for homelessness in India but none can describe the population fully. Epidemiological studies from India give some estimates of the prevalence of psychiatric disorders in this group. Psychotic disorder is the most common diagnosis followed by mood disorders, substance use disorders, and intellectual disability. Administrative factors such as lack of rehabilitative services and scarcity of mental health resources; illness factors such as untreated mental disorder, impaired ability to self-care, and high comorbidities; and social factors such as high stigma, poverty, low literacy, rapid urbanization, lack of employment, and other housing barriers are the major reasons in India contributing to homelessness in the mentally ill population. There remains a duality in this population that homelessness and mental illness act as risk factors for each other. Women form a higher risk group with regard to being homeless and mentally ill. The major support in India for this population comes from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and NGOs such as the Richmond Fellowship Society, Shraddha Foundation, The Banyan, Aashray Adhikar Abhiyan, Ashadeep, and Hope Kolkata Foundation remain as pioneers in psychosocial rehabilitation. India also has programmes and policies to support this population. The Mental Healthcare Act (2017) lays down various provisions for the homeless mentally ill. There is a need for government–NGO collaboration and more facilities for psychosocial rehabilitation to help this vulnerable population in need.

Abstract:
Southeast Asia (SEA) is not only rich in multicultural areas but also rich in multilingual nations with the population of more than 624 million and more than 1,253 languages (Ethnologue 2015). With the cultural uniqueness of each country, this region also accords each national languages with language planning and political management. This strategy brings a challenges to SEA and can lead to conflicts among other ethnic groups, largely owing to leadership. The ethnic conflicts of SEA bring controversy between governments and minorities, such as the ethnic conflict in Aceh, Indonesia, the Muslim population of the south Thailand, and the Bangsa Moro of Mindanao, of the Philippines. The objective of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of the linguistic perspectives of SEA. This research examines two main problems. First, this paper investigates the linguistic area which refers to a geographical area in which genetically unrelated languages have come to share many linguistic features as a result of long mutual influence. The SEA has been called a linguistic area because languages share many features in common such as lexical tone, classifiers, serial verbs, verb-final items, prepositions, and noun-adjective order. SEA consists of five language families such as Austronesian, Mon-Khmer, Sino-Tibetan, Tai-Kadai, and Hmong-Mien. Second, this paper also examines why each nation of SEA takes one language to become the national language of the nation. The National language plays an important role in the educational system because some nations take the same languages as a national language—the Malay language in the case of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The research method of this paper is to apply comparative method to find out the linguistic features of the languages of SEA in terms of phonology, morphology, and grammar.
