Abstract:
This paper aims to construct an index system of evaluating food safety status, composed of three sub-systems—quantity safety, quality safety, and development safety. The index system is designed to collect annual data from 2005 to 2017 and run a chronological evaluation on China’s food safety status based on an entropy method. The evaluation results indicate that though China’s food safety supervision effect has been stably sound, the highest score is 0.7392 (in 2017). In addition, the proportions of the above three sub-systems were changed towards a balanced trend, with quality safety rising from less than 7% to 36.19% as a significant part of the evaluation of the effect of food safety supervision. In terms of single indexes, agrochemical input intensity and the ontology of agro-production safety have made relatively great contributions, while the indexes that embody price safety lack stability, and the roles of indexes related to development safety in the effect of food safety supervision have been increasingly recognized and valued.

Abstract:
No doubt that the accounting information in financial and economic life of society is very significant. The actions of economic agents depend on the quality and completeness of the accounting information. An accounting policy of an enterprise is a certain system of ways of accounting, which is approved by the enterprise to help all concerned to get full and correct accounting information. Making solutions on the basis of key performance indicators gives opportunity to analyze the minimal number of quantitative indexes essential for an enterprise, which reflect the degree of achieving the stated goals. The key indicators are the indicators of performance efficiency of both the departments and the enterprise as a whole. A balanced system of indicators helps classifying the key efficiency indicators and establishing interrelation between strategic and operational performance level. The article describes the elements of accounting, in particular methods of assignment to production use of inventory, from the point of their impact on key economic indicators and, consequently, on the overall strategy of the construction enterprise.

Abstract:
In order to efficiently use energy storage resources while meeting the power grid primary frequency modulation requirements, an adaptive droop coefficient and SOC balance-based primary frequency modulation control strategy for energy storage is proposed. Taking the SOC of energy storage battery as the control quantity, the depth of energy storage output is adaptively adjusted to prevent the saturation or exhaustion of energy storage SOC. The balanced control strategy is introduced to realize the rational utilization of resources and the fast balance of SOC in the process of primary frequency modulation of energy storage battery under different charge states. Then, four evaluation indexes are proposed to evaluate the effect of primary frequency modulation and SOC maintenance. Taking a regional power grid as an example, a simulation analysis is carried out under step load disturbance and continuous load disturbance. According to the simulation results, the proposed control strategy is effective in power system frequency regulation and battery SOC maintenance.

Abstract:
In our present world, more and more attention is being paid to the evaluation and monitoring of different sports organizations, which is because the support of spectator sports has become an important issue. Our fundamental assumption is that football clubs of our time should operate just like large companies in the business sectors. Obviously, it is an essential prerequisite that controlling, a controlling system or a performance measurement system be applied at the business entities operating the clubs. According to our experience, conscious financing of organizations is often neglected in the course of the management processes of sports companies. It is necessary to create the conditions at these organizations that enable managerial decision support and the establishment of a controlling system. It is essential to find controlling methods and tools that can be successfully applied in the life of a sports organization and that ensure the harmonization and coordination of different processes. Consequently, controlling provides a higher level of transparency and information supply for decision makers. The aim of present study is to introduce the Balanced Scorecard (The Balanced Scorecard is a balanced strategic system of indexes, which measures the performance of companies for the sake of implementing the strategy), one of the tools of strategic controlling and its application to sports companies through an example of a Hungarian football club. Lingfors, David. "Illumination properties and energy savings of a solar fiber optic lighting system balanced by artificial lights." Thesis, Uppsala universitet, Fasta tillståndets fysik, 2013. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:uu:diva-204664.

Full text
Abstract:
A solar fiber optic lighting system, SP3 from the Swedish company Parans Solar Lighting AB, has been installed in a study area/corridor test site. A collector is tracking the sun during daytime, focusing the direct sun irradiance via Fresnel lenses into optical fibers, which guide the solar light into the building. The illumination properties of the system have been characterized. The energy saving due to reduced need of artificial lighting have been calculated and methods for balancing the artificial lights in the test site have been evaluated. The illumination at the test site using solar light was at least as high as when using the artificial lights and even higher at very clear days. The luminous flux output (500 lm) was somewhat lower than specified by the manufacturer (550 lm) at 100 000 lx direct sun illuminance. The output at 130 000 lx was high 767±33 lm the sunlight coupling efficiency 23 %. However, for a 20 m SP3 system the luminous flux output (400 lm) at 100 000 lx was higher than specified (350 lm). The SP3 system of Parans provides high quality solar light. It has a fuller spectrum close to the spectrum of the sun compared to the fluorescent lights at the test site. The correlated color temperature of the system was 5800±300 K and the color rendering index 84.9±0.5. The lighting energy saved due to decreased need for artificial light was estimated to 19 % in Uppsala which has 1790 annual sun hours. The savings in Italy, which has 3400 sun hours, is 46 %. Additional saving, especially in warmer countries can be obtained due to decreased need for cooling in the building as the solar luminaires provide negligible heat to the indoor air. Economical saving could also be realized by improved well-being of the occupants spending time under the solar luminaires. Three ways of balancing the artificial light due to sunshine fluctuations have been investigated. The global horizontal irradiance could not be used as a control signal for balancing the artificial lights but a pyranometer attached to the SP3 sun tracking collector was usable. Also the signal from an indoor luxmeter sensor could be used for balancing the light. However the signal from the light sensor which makes the SP3 collector to track the sun is probably the most cost effective method as it would serve two purposes; tracking the sun and balancing the artificial lights.

Abstract:
Today in the scientific and technological world, physical and artificial processes are often described by mathematical models which can be used for simulation, optimization or control. As the mathematical models get more detailed and different coupling effects are required to include, usually the dimension of these models become very large. Such large-scale systems lead to large memory requirements and computational complexity. To handle these large models efficiently in simulation, control or optimization model order reduction (MOR) is essential. The fundamental idea of model order reduction is to approximate a large-scale model by a reduced model of lower state space dimension that has the same (to the largest possible extent) input-output behavior as the original system. Recently, the system-theoretic method Balanced Truncation (BT) which was believed to be applicable only to moderately sized problems, has been adapted to really large-scale problems. Moreover, it also has been extended to so-called descriptor systems, i.e., systems whose dynamics obey differential-algebraic equations. In this thesis, a BT algorithm is developed for MOR of index-1 descriptor systems based on several papers from the literature. It is then applied to the setting of a piezo-mechanical system. The algorithm is verified by real-world data describing micro-mechanical piezo-actuators. The whole algorithm works for sparse descriptor form of the system. The piezo-mechanical original system is a second order index-1 descriptor system, where mass, damping, stiffness, input and output matrices are highly sparse. Several techniques are introduced to reduce the system into a first order index-1 descriptor system by preserving the sparsity pattern of the original models. Several numerical experiments are used to illustrate the efficiency of the algorithm.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to propose a safety management framework for construction companies. A literature review was performed to identify significant factors that would improve safety performance. Two management tools are used within the scope of this study: the balanced scorecard and quality function deployment (QFD). Strategic goals are established for each perspective of the balanced scorecard: financial and cultural, employee, process and learning and growth. Afterwards, a questionnaire was prepared using the QFD approach. The goals in the financial and cultural perspective were defined as the needs of the organization related to safety (&ldquo
customer requirements&rdquo
in the original QFD approach). The goals in the remaining perspectives formed the actions that the organization could do to achieve its needs (&ldquo
product how&rsquo
s&rdquo
in the original QFD). Results of the questionnaire were used to form the final strategic goals in balanced scorecard. Safety performance measures and initiatives were defined for the accomplishment of the goals in the balanced scorecard.

The Gravity Control for Maya will be extraordinary

beneficial to an animator trying to create realistic

animation, by calculating the center of gravity and area

of balance. This control will provide the animator with

the ability to rotate around the center of gravity and

keep the character in a balanced pose. With that ability,

the animator can easily create accurate poses and

animation, such as mid-air flips. The system also

supports a vast number of characters with different

Abstract:
Luban is a design system based on image generation technology, which can automatically produce a large number of posters in a short time, and the production efficiency of posters has been greatly improved. To objectively evaluate the interface beauty of Luban banner elements, four representative beauty indexes are selected after screening: balance, symmetry, integrity, and simplicity, which are quantified respectively. The analytic hierarchy process is introduced to calculate the weight of each index, and the comprehensive beauty calculation formula method of interface element layout scheme is proposed. Taking Luban banner design as an example, the objectivity and accuracy of this method for measuring the beauty level of interface element layout are verified, and it can reflect the influence of a single evaluation index on the comprehensive beauty, which is helpful to guide designers to design and improve the interface.

Abstract:
Abstract Collaborative systems are distributed multiple-user systems that are both concurrent and synchronized. An interesting research challenge is to develop a collaborative modeling system that offers all facilities of advanced modeling systems to its users, while at the same time providing them with the necessary coordination mechanisms that guarantee an effective collaboration. To achieve this, a web-based collaborative feature modeling system, webSPIFF, has been developed. It has a client-server architecture, with an advanced feature modeling system as a basis for the server, providing feature validation, multiple views and sophisticated visualization facilities. A good distribution of the functionality between the server and the clients has resulted in a well-balanced system. On the one hand, the server offers all the functionality of the original feature modeling system. On the other hand, all desirable interactive modeling functionality is offered by the clients, ranging from display of sophisticated feature model images to interactive model specification facilities. The architecture of webSPIFF, the distribution of model data, the functionality of the server and the clients, and the communication mechanisms are described. It is shown that a good compromise between interactivity and network load has been achieved, and that indeed advanced modeling with a collaborative system is feasible.

Abstract:
One of the main approaches to sustainable urbanization strategy is to find appropriate resources for promoting the quality of life via developing infrastructure and extending facilities and support urban life by facilitating public access to meet their needs. Based on that we can approach a new urban economy based on sustainable resources and a specific diagram and discipline will participate in it. To realize this idea a clear statement and belief are needed. We expect that the outcome may be under undue pressure of the global political and economic forces because the new model is looking for creating fundamental changes to the current trends and turning to the new paradigm and world development system. To reach this level of transformation this article will focus on 3 cities with different scales, knowing that the scale plays an important role in municipal finance, so: 1- This article will review the top alternative models of the current urban economy. 2- It will examine and analyze the interaction between understandings, recognizing the main challenges of important points between the concepts of life at a macro perspective; the current state of economic circulation in cities and expressing clear key points. 3- This article will be based on the city Prosperity Index of United Nations and also on indexes of the quality of life in order to introduce a model of sustainable urban lifestyle, which will be introduced as a ‘dream’. As planners, we need to help cities promote self-reliance by redesigning the city in such a way that there will be a balance between external dependency and self-reliance 4- It will provide some examples of top priorities on sustainable resources to achieve the goals.

In ASME 2016 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition. American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 2016. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/imece2016-65384.

Full text
Abstract:
This paper proposes a new composite allocation method, which is composed by improved Fuzzy-AHP allocation method, old system data correction allocation method, and optimization allocation method. The objective of the new method is to minimize the system cost and allocate the reliability index and maintenance index of unit with the goal of system availability and the balance between them. For the solution of optimization problem in this paper, in order to prevent local optimum, improve the convergence efficiency and get the satisfied optimal solution, the improved GA method is put forward in this paper. First, the reliability index allocation method is proposed by the combination of optimization allocation method with the objective of minimum cost, the improved Fuzzy-AHP method with the consideration of the experts’ expectations, and the old system data correction allocation method. Then, based on constraints of the unit reliability allocation index and system availability index, the maintain-ability allocation method is proposed considering the minimum maintenance cost. In addition, the process of this new composite allocation method is formulated in this paper. Finally, the system cost, reliability index, and maintenance index of an integrated transmission device of an armored vehicle are allocated by this new composite allocation method. The result analysis shows that the allocation result of this new composite allocation method is reasonable and has engineering applicability. All in all, this new composite allocation method not only synthetically considers experts’ expectations on the new system, system cost and system reliability baseline information, but also associate the reliability index and maintenance index with the goal of system availability. In addition, this paper provides a new approach for reliability index & maintenance index of complex repairable systems in the early stages of product design.

Abstract:
When carrying out professional activities, officers of the VNG of the Russian Federation are often in difficult, stressful, emotionally stressful situations associated with the use of weapons as a particularly dangerous means of destruction. The right to use a weapon by an officer makes him responsible for its use. And therefore requires the officer to make a balanced optimal decision, which is associated with the risk and transience of events, and in which no mistake can be made, since the price of it can be someone's life. It is at such a moment that it is important that the officer has stable skills in making a decision on the use of weapons, and this requires skills not only in managing subordinates or the situation, but in managing himself. The complication of the military-professional activity, manifested in the need to develop the ability to quickly and accurately make command decisions, exacerbating the problem of social responsibility of an officer who has the management of unit that leads to an understanding of his singular personal and professional responsibility, as the ability to govern themselves makes it possible to achieve a positive result of the Department for the DBA. This characterizes the need for a commander to have the ability to manage himself, as a "system" that manages others. Forming skills of self-control, patience, compassion, having mastered algorithms of making managerial decisions, the cycle of implementing managerial functions, etc., a person comes to the belief: "before effectively managing others, it is necessary to learn how to manage yourself." The required level of personal and professional maturity can be formed in a person as a result of purposeful self-management, which determines the special role of professional and personal self-management in the training of future officers.

Abstract:
Recent concerns regarding global warming and energy security have accelerated research and developmental efforts to produce biofuels from agricultural and forestry residues, and energy crops. Anaerobic digestion is a promising process for producing biogas-biofuel from biomass feedstocks. However, there is a need for new reactor designs and operating considerations to process fibrous biomass feedstocks. In this research project, the multiphase flow behavior of biomass particles was investigated. The objective was accomplished through both simulation and experimentation. The simulations included both particle-level and bulk flow simulations. Successful computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation of multiphase flow in the digester is dependent on the accuracy of constitutive models which describe (1) the particle phase stress due to particle interactions, (2) the particle phase dissipation due to inelastic interactions between particles and (3) the drag force between the fibres and the digester fluid. Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations of Homogeneous Cooling Systems (HCS) were used to develop a particle phase dissipation rate model for non-spherical particle systems that was incorporated in a two-fluid CFDmultiphase flow model framework. Two types of frictionless, elongated particle models were compared in the HCS simulations: glued-sphere and true cylinder. A new model for drag for elongated fibres was developed which depends on Reynolds number, solids fraction, and fibre aspect ratio. Schulze shear test results could be used to calibrate particle-particle friction for DEM simulations. Several experimental measurements were taken for biomass particles like olive pulp, orange peels, wheat straw, semolina, and wheat grains. Using a compression tester, the breakage force, breakage energy, yield force, elastic stiffness and Young’s modulus were measured. Measurements were made in a shear tester to determine unconfined yield stress, major principal stress, effective angle of internal friction and internal friction angle. A liquid fludized bed system was used to determine critical velocity of fluidization for these materials. Transport measurements for pneumatic conveying were also assessed. Anaerobic digestion experiments were conducted using orange peel waste, olive pulp and wheat straw. Orange peel waste and olive pulp could be anaerobically digested to produce high methane yields. Wheat straw was not digestible. In a packed bed reactor, anaerobic digestion was not initiated above bulk densities of 100 kg/m³ for peel waste and 75 kg/m³ for olive pulp. Interestingly, after the digestion has been initiated and balanced methanogenesis established, the decomposing biomass could be packed to higher densities and successfully digested. These observations provided useful insights for high throughput reactor designs. Another outcome from this project was the development of low cost devices to measure methane content of biogas for off-line (US$37), field (US$50), and online (US$107) applications.

Abstract:
Use of the digital technologies is new and very productive approach for balance of different data. It is very important for balance of supply and demand and for increase of competitiveness of products. Various types of digital models were developed as a result of scientific research, they found reflection in article. Digital models for the description of the list of the sequences of steps and operations of various stages and process in general allow to install system of interrelations between operations and steps and to reach necessary log-ic, increase of effectiveness of any process. Object-relational models for establishment of communications between data of various blocks of databases and functional models of the choice of strategy of data balance form analytical base for justification of the choice of the direction of transformation of data. Models of a combination of a plurality of various data of the offer of products in the form of matrixes of multi-purpose optimization have double effect, because they allow not only to develop various options of data combina-tion, taking into account opportunities of change of location of products over the markets and temporary phases, but also to estimate aggregate useful effect from products. These models together with models of comparison of various options and the choice of optimal solutions allow to generate compatible strategic and current programs of the offer of products as a plurality of the output data balanced with each other and with data of demand. It is providing the best synergetic result. The developed methodology of creation of system of the interconnected digital models for transformation of data and generation of the output data of the situational-strategic program of the offer of products is a cornerstone of formation of new digital econ-omy – of economy of balanced data.
