Abstract:
Observing the phenomenon of shifting similarity, especially in the cultural aspects of recitation (beut) of the Qur'an in the prevention of community life. The Aceh Besar District Government is based on the value of dedication and moral responsibility to intervene through a breakthrough and policy on Beut Al-Qur'an Ba'da Magrib (BABM) Program. The implementation of BABM refers to two main foundations: First, the socio-cultural foundation, in which the seumeubet tradition has been deeply rooted in the Acehnese society carried out in meunasah, mosques, balee seumeubeut or in private homes. Second, the juridical basis, in the form of Law No. 11 of 2016 on the Government of Aceh, and the Regulation of the Regent of Aceh Besar. 53 of 2012 on Guidelines for Implementation Beut Al-Qur'an Ba'da Magrib In Aceh Besar District. The BABM program, which has been running for five years since it was launched in 2012 and continues to date in 604 gampongs in Aceh Besar District, has received good results. First, the BABM program has yielded good results on the development and improvement of the literacy of al-Qur'an for school-aged children in Aceh Besar. Second, the BABM program also has a positive impact on increasing religious understanding among school-aged children through the addition of a number of religious teaching materials taught in BABM programs, as well as changing their character better than ever. Third, through the implementation of the BABM program has also fostered the spirit of religious practice among the community, while reducing the negative impacts and criminality in the community.

ABSTRACT Helicobacter pylori BabA is the ABO blood group antigen binding adhesin, which has a closely related paralogue (BabB) whose function is unknown. PCR and DNA sequence analysis showed extensive genotypic diversity in babA and babB across different strains, as well as within a strain colonizing an individual patient. We hypothesize that diverse profiles of babA and babB reflect selective pressures for adhesion, which may differ across different hosts and within an individual over time.

Abstract:
The bric à brac (bab) locus acts as a homeotic and morphogenetic regulator in the development of ovaries, appendages and the abdomen. It consists of two structurally and functionally related genes, bab1 and bab2, each of which encodes a single nuclear protein. Bab1 and Bab2 have two conserved domains in common, a BTB/POZ domain and a Psq domain, a motif that characterizes a subfamily of BTB/POZ domain proteins in Drosophila. The tissue distribution of Bab1 and Bab2 overlaps, with Bab1 being expressed in a subpattern of Bab2. Analysis of a series of mutations indicates that the two bab genes have synergistic, distinct and redundant functions during imaginal development. Interestingly, several reproduction-related traits that are sexually dimorphic or show diversity among Drosophila species are highly sensitive to changes in the bab gene dose, suggesting that alterations in bab activity may contribute to evolutionary modification of sex-related morphology.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Helicobacter pylori strains show both geographic and disease-associated allelic variation. We investigated the diversity present in two genes, babA and babB, which are members of a paralogous family of outer membrane proteins. Eleven family members within a single H. pylori strain, predicted to encode proteins with substantial N- and C-terminal similarity to each other, were classified as babA paralogues. In their central regions, most are less than 54% related to one another. Examining the babA and babB central regions in 42 H. pylori strains from different geographic locales, we identified five different allele groups of babA (AD1 to AD5) and three different allele groups of babB (BD1 to BD3). Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the allelic groupings ofbabA and babB are independent of one another and that, for both, geographic variation is present. Analysis of synonymous and nonsynonymous substitutions in these regions showed thatbabA is more diverse, implying an earlier origin than that of the same region of babB, but that the babAdiversity region may have more functional constraints. Although recombination has been central to the evolution of both genes, withbabA and babB showing low mean compatibility scores and homoplasy ratios of 0.71 and 0.67, respectively, recombination is not sufficient to obscure evidence of clonal descent. Despite the involvement of babA in binding to the host blood group antigen Lewis B, neither the presence of differentbabA allele groups nor that of different babBallele groups is a determining factor in Lewis B binding of H. pylori strains.

Abstract:
Objective: In this article, we explored the microscopic structure and composition of the decellular-ized cancellous bone matrix of the calf, and established the animal model of Beagle dog extraction. By applying different bone substitute materials in the extraction of teeth, we observed the new collagen-rich in the preservation of the site after tooth extraction. The protein bone matrix maintained the three-dimensional shape of the alveolar ridge compared to other biological materials. Methods: The microstructure of the new collagen-rich bone matrix was observed by scanning electron microscopy. The porous structure, porosity and distribution of collagen fibers were observed. XRD and infrared spectroscopy were used to further detect the inorganic and organic components in the new collagen-rich bone matrix. The premolar extraction and site preservation model of Beagle dogs were constructed. The changes of collagen-rich bone matrix, Bio-oss bone powder, CGF filling and blank control alveolar ridge volume were compared by CBCT. HE staining was used to observe and compare new bone formation, bone remodeling and bone resorption between groups, and to observe the formation of blood vessels, osteogenic mineralization, trabecular bone formation and inflammatory response in different periods. Results: (1) The acellular bone matrix of bovine cancellous bone completely removes the immunogenicity of the cells and has good histocompat-ibility; the pore diameter and porosity closest to the physiological structure, the main component is hydroxyapatite and collagen. (2) Site preservation can reduce the absorption of alveolar ridge following tooth extraction, preserve sufficient bone mass for alveolar fossa, and retain a good width of attachment, which provides further protection for implant surgery. (3) In the post-extraction site preservation, the CGF group has better bone composition than the BABM group and Bio-oss bone powder. Conclusion: Bovine Acellular Cancellous Bone Matrix is a new type of biological bone matrix. The main components are collagen and hydroxyapatite, which can promote bone formation in the extraction socket.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The gram-negative gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori is equipped with an extraordinarily large set of outer membrane proteins (OMPs), whose role in the infection process is not well understood. The Hop (Helicobacter outer membrane porins) and Hor (Hop-related proteins) groups constitute a large paralogous family consisting of 33 members. The OMPs AlpA, AlpB, BabA, SabA, and HopZ have been identified as adhesins or adherence-associated proteins. To better understand the relevance of these and other OMPs during infection, we analyzed the expression of eight different omp genes (alpA, alpB, babA, babB, babC, sabA, hopM, and oipA) in a set of 200 patient isolates, mostly from symptomatic children or young adults. Virtually all clinical isolates produced the AlpA and AlpB proteins, supporting their essential function. All other OMPs were produced at extremely variable rates, ranging from 35% to 73%, indicating a function in close adaptation to the individual host or gastric niche. In 11% of the isolates, BabA was produced, and SabA was produced in 5% of the isolates, but the strains failed to bind their cognate substrates. Interleukin-8 (IL-8) expression in gastric cells was strictly dependent on the presence of the cag pathogenicity island, whereas the presence of OipA clearly enhanced IL-8 production. The presence of the translocated effector protein CagA correlated well with BabA and OipA production. In conclusion, we found unexpectedly diverse omp expression profiles in individual H. pylori strains and hypothesize that this reflects the selective pressure for adhesion, which may differ across different hosts as well as within an individual over time.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The Helicobacter pylori babA gene encodes an outer membrane protein that mediates binding to fucosylated ABH antigens of the ABO blood group. We recently demonstrated that BabA expression is lost during experimental infection of rhesus macaques with H. pylori J166. We sought to test the generality of this observation by comparison of different H. pylori strains and different animal hosts. Challenge of macaques with H. pylori J99 yielded output strains that lost BabA expression, either by selection and then expansion of a subpopulation of J99 that had a single-base-pair mutation that encoded a stop codon or by gene conversion of babA with a duplicate copy of babB, a paralog of unknown function. Challenge of mice with H. pylori J166, which unlike J99, has 5′ CT repeats in babA, resulted in loss of BabA expression due to phase variation. In the gerbil, Leb binding was lost by replacement of the babA gene that encoded Leb binding with a nonbinding allele that differed at six amino acid residues. Complementation experiments confirmed that change in these six amino acids of BabA was sufficient to eliminate binding to Leb and to gastric tissue. These results demonstrate that BabA expression in vivo is highly dynamic, and the findings implicate specific amino acid residues as critical for binding to fucosylated ABH antigens. We hypothesize that modification of BabA expression during H. pylori infection is a mechanism to adapt to changing conditions of inflammation and glycan expression at the epithelial surface.

Abstract:
The stories in this collection reflect the absurdities of contemporary American family life, and the particularly distressing economic conditions of the present moment. These stories often employ absurdist elements. Because of the personal history that informs my work, realism does not seem an appropriate form for me. My oldest son, in whom my emotional well-being is heavily invested, is autistic. He is not “normal"? in a way that others would understand as “normal."? Parenting a child with special needs changes the way a marriage operates, deforming it. The personal experience that drives these stories often seems fantastical even to me. I don’t write about my personal experiences, but I write about the impressions that those experiences make upon me. In this way, my work is descriptive rather than didactic.

Furuta, Marie. "Women's health after having a baby : exploring the impact of severe maternal morbidity on psychological and physical health at 6-8 weeks postpartum." Thesis, King's College London (University of London), 2012. https://kclpure.kcl.ac.uk/portal/en/theses/womens-health-after-having-a-baby(c65c498c-d801-4c7a-bab8-aa20e7ee22eb).html.

Abstract:
Background: The incidence of severe maternal morbidity (SMM) is increasing in high-income countries as a consequence of increased obstetric intervention and increasingly complex medical needs of women who become pregnant. The most commonly reported SMM in the UK includes postpartum haemorrhage and hypertensive disorders. Access to emergency obstetric care means that for the majority of UK women, SMM is unlikely to result in loss of life. However, little was known about the impact on postnatal morbidity. Aim: To assess the impact of SMM (defined as major obstetric haemorrhage, severe hypertensive disorders, critical care unit admission) on maternal health, focusing particularly on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms at 6-8 weeks postpartum. Method: A prospective cohort study was undertaken of women who gave birth over six months in 2010 in one inner city maternity unit in England. Data on health outcomes were collected on 1824 women using self-administered questionnaires at 6 – 8 weeks postpartum (response rate=53%). The questionnaire included several validated measures to assess aspects of postnatal health and well-being. Multivariable logistic regression analysis examined the relationship between SMM and PTSD adjusting for potential confounders and differences in other postnatal outcomes between women with and without SMM. Results: There was a higher risk of PTSD symptoms following SMM (intrusion: OR=2.22, 95%CI=1.26-3.93, p=0.006; avoidance: OR=3.33, 95%CI=2.06-5.40, p<0.001; both intrusion and avoidance: OR=3.22, 95%CI=1.62-6.43, p=0.001). Women’s sense of control during labour and birth and neonatal outcomes contributed to the risk of PTSD symptoms. There were no statistically significant differences in other mental outcomes, however women with SMM had poorer physical health than women without SMM. Associations between SMM, breastfeeding practice and health service use were inconsistent across indicators of SMM. Conclusions: Findings have important implications for women's health, and the content and organisation of maternity services. Women and clinicians should be aware that SMM can trigger symptoms of PTSD, with further work required to promote care to prevent these symptoms.

Abstract:
This thesis is a young adult fictional novel from the perspective of Rachel Jackson, or Rae, a seventeen year-old girl with Williams Syndrome, a rare developmental disorder caused by missing genes on chromosome 7 that causes those with it to lack logical connections, yet possess very gregarious, social, and musical personalities. Think of it as an inverted form of autism. At the genesis of the novel, Rae becomes pregnant. Upon misunderstanding her mother's sugar-coated reasoning for giving the baby up for adoption, Rae spends the novel trying to find a man to marry so that, in her understanding, she may keep her child. Along her journey, Rae meets Theo, a well-meaning Christian boy, who appears to be a possible match. Rae falls in love with Theo and gets into various kinds of trouble as she discovers how to take care of herself as well as how to accept herself, disorder and all. Along with her hardworking mother, her feisty grandmother, and her sassy little sister, Rae endeavors this bildungsroman to discover who she is and how she fits into society.

Abstract:
BALM OF GILEAD is a collection of poetry that explores the speaker’s rediscovery of love and spiritual meaning in the years after his recovery from addiction and the loss of a parent. BALM OF GILEAD fits within the English poetic tradition of fastening ineffable sacred experience into more personal lyric modes, an inheritance dating not only to the works of John Donne, George Herbert, and Gerard Manley Hopkins, but to the Psalms of David. The often-confessional poems in BALM OF GILEAD borrow from the free verse and emotional urgency of Denis Johnson; the broken sonnets of Molly Peacock; and the devotional rhetorical posture of Maurice Manning. Moreover, BALM OF GILEAD orders poems through imagistic and thematic associations to document the complex means through which the speaker experiences his conversion away from the certainty of addiction and grief and into the unsure but redemptive footing of love and faith.

Abstract:
Nowadays, many parametric systems support history-based , constraint-based and feature-based modelling. Unfortunately, most systems fail during the reevaluation phase when various kind of topological changes occur. This issue is known as “persistent naming”. It refers to the problem of identifying entities in an initial parametric model and matching them in the reevaluated model. Several solutions have been proposed to solve this problem, but they remain insufficient. In this thesis, we focus on the persistent and homogeneous naming of entities in any dimension (vertices, edges, aggregates of edges, faces; aggregates of faces (“shells”), volumes, aggregates of volumes, etc) and entities resulting from the intersection of non-planar objects. To do that, we propose a hierarchical platform which gathers, by relations of aggregations, entities of any dimension. Our idea is then, to begin by naming (i. E. ) to characterize and to map) the smaller usable entities: the edges. The management of names of the edges is mainly carried out by a graph tracing the evolution of these entities during the process of parametric modelling. Then, we used the computed matching between these edges by exploiting the hierarchical and aggregative structure of the topological model, in order to deduce the matching between the entities of higher dimension. Our solution is implemented on a geometric kerned based on the generalized maps model
