Abstract:
QCD axions are at the crossroads of QCD topology and Dark Matter searches. We present here the current status of topological studies on the lattice, and their implication on axion physics. We outline the specific challenges posed by lattice topology, the different proposals for handling them, the observable effects of topology on the QCD spectrum and its interrelation with chiral and axial symmetries. We review the transition to the quark–gluon plasma, the fate of topology at the transition, and the approach to the high temperature limit. We discuss the extrapolations needed to reach the regime of cosmological relevance, and the resulting constraints on the QCD axion.

We extend the standard model by an axial U(1) gauge symmetry obtained from a rotation parametrized by a scalar field. In quantizing the system, the Peccei-Quinn symmetry is realized by introducing a BRST-exact term, which can provide a new approach to the strong CP problem without assuming a physical degree of freedom like the axion or the massless quark. We can find that the transition between different topological sectors of QCD via physical scattering processes is suppressed.

Abstract:
An impedance measurement object with an H-shaped four-terminal equivalent substitution circuit is considered. An error analysis was performed for sensors whose non-informative supply resistances are of the same order or exceed the measured impedance. A new definition of four-terminal impedance has been proposed, namely four-terminal axial be-shielded (FTABS) measuring object. Based on such new definition, the scheme of axial-bishielded bridges is proposed for precision measurement of temperature and electrolytic conductivity of liquids. Such bridges differ from the well-known coaxial bridges since the former ones have an additional circuit for equipotential protection, which is located between the flow circuits of direct and reverse currents. Abstract:
To ensure the agricultural production of the plant protein, it is advisable to cultivate leguminous crops, such as white lupine (Lupinus albus), which are rich in plant protein. White lupine is an easily threshed crop. Its seeds are large enough, so the main problem is to avoid seed damage during harvesting. To improve the harvesting technology of white lupine, the authors suggest using grain combine harvesters with axial flow threshing and separating mechanism (TSM). They consider it necessary to modify the design of such combine harvesters to eliminate repeated threshing of a grain (seed) mass and decrease threshing intensity in a threshing separating mechanism. The authors have also provided grounds for technological parameters of a combine harvester – a rotor speed and a concave clearance. The recommended rotor speed should be approximately 350–400 min–1 and the concave clearance should be 40 mm.

Abstract:
Motivated by the SU(2)CMB modification of the cosmological model ΛCDM, we consider isolated fuzzy-dark-matter lumps, made of ultralight axion particles whose masses arise due to distinct SU(2) Yang–Mills scales and the Planck mass MP. In contrast to SU(2)CMB, these Yang–Mills theories are in confining phases (zero temperature) throughout most of the Universe’s history and associate with the three lepton flavours of the Standard Model of particle physics. As the Universe expands, axionic fuzzy dark matter comprises a three-component fluid which undergoes certain depercolation transitions when dark energy (a global axion condensate) is converted into dark matter. We extract the lightest axion mass ma,e=0.675×10−23eV from well motivated model fits to observed rotation curves in low-surface-brightness galaxies (SPARC catalogue). Since the virial mass of an isolated lump solely depends on MP and the associated Yang–Mills scale the properties of an e-lump predict those of μ- and τ-lumps. As a result, a typical e-lump virial mass ∼6.3×1010M⊙ suggests that massive compact objects in galactic centers such as Sagittarius A* in the Milky Way are (merged) μ- and τ-lumps. In addition, τ-lumps may constitute globular clusters. SU(2)CMB is always thermalised, and its axion condensate never has depercolated. If the axial anomaly indeed would link leptons with dark matter and the CMB with dark energy then this would demystify the dark Universe through a firmly established feature of particle physics.

Abstract:
Background:Comorbidities have been reported to be more prevalent in patients with Spondyloarthritis (SpA) compared to the general population. Previous studies have suggested that patients with peripheral phenotypes exhibit a higher prevalence of traditional cardiovascular risk (CV) factors compared to those with a predominantly axial phenotype. However, the role of psoriasis in such differences has not been deeply studied. Objectives:To compare the prevalence of comorbidities (CV, malignancies and osteoporosis (vertebral or peripheral fracture, or low bone mineral density)) between patients with axial and peripheral phenotypes and to evaluate the role of psoriasis in such comorbidities in the whole spectrum of SpA (including psoriatic arthritis). Methods:Patients from the cross-sectional ASAS-COMOSPA study were classified as having either axial (presence of sacroiliitis on x-ray or MRI) or peripheral phenotype (absence of sacroiliitis AND presence of arthritis, enthesitis or dactylitis). Patients with each phenotype were divided into two groups depending on the presence or history of psoriasis. Pair-wise comparisons among the four groups (axial and peripheral with psoriasis/without psoriasis phenotypes) were conducted through univariate logistic regressions and generalized linear mixed models using disease duration and country as fixed and random effects, respectively. Multivariate analysis using were used to evaluate whether psoriasis and the phenotype are independently associated with each comorbidity. Results:A total of 3291 patients were included in this analysis (mean age 43.6 years, 65% males). The peripheral phenotype with psoriasis showed the highest prevalence of hypertension (44.9%), dyslipidaemia (34%) and diabetes (8.8%), while axial phenotype without psoriasis exhibited the lowest prevalence of dyslipidaemia (14.2%), diabetes (4.1%) and stroke (0.9%) (Table 1). Among patients with psoriasis, the axial phenotype showed a significantly [OR, 95%CI] lower prevalence of hypertension [OR 0.5, 0.4-0.8] and lower Framingham score [OR 0.97, 0.95-0.99] compared to peripheral patients even after adjusting for disease duration and country. Among patients with axial phenotype, patients with psoriasis showed higher prevalence of hypertension [OR 1.8, 1.4-2.2], dyslipidaemia [OR 2.0, 1.7-2.5], diabetes [OR 2.1, 1.4-3.0] and Framingham score [OR 1.0, 1.0-1.1] than non-psoriatic patients. Multivariate analysis confirmed that hypertension, dyslipidaemia and the Framingham score are independently associated with both the psoriasis and the peripheral phenotype.Prostatic cancer and colon cancer were independently associated with the presence of psoriasis but not with the phenotype. No differences were found across groups concerning osteoporosis. Conclusion:Both a peripheral phenotype and the presence of psoriasis were independently associated with an increased CV risk. Psoriasis seems to be associated with a higher prevalence of some malignant diseases, while osteoporosis do not seem to be associated with either phenotype or the presence of cutaneous involvement.Table 1.Description of comorbidities across the four groups.Psoriatic axialN = 460n (%)Non-psoriatic axialN = 2541n (%)Psoriatic peripheralN = 147n (%)Non-psoriatic peripheralN = 136n (%)p-value*BMI, mean (SD)27.4 (5.5)25.5 (5.5)27.3 (5.7)26.6 (5.3)<0.001Hypertension135 (29.5)487 (19.2)66 (44.9)25 (18.4)<0.001Dyslipidemia113 (24.8)359 (14.2)50 (34)23 (17)<0.001Diabetes37 (8.1)104 (4.1)13 (8.8)7 (5.2)<0.001Ischemic heart disease16 (3.5)51 (2)5 (3.4)2 (1.5)0.162Stroke11 (2.4)22 (0.9)3 (2)2 (1.5)0.028Framingham score, mean (SD)9.6 (8.7)6.6 (7.5)11.8 (8.8)5.8 (6)<0.001Prostatic cancer5 (1.8)5 (0.3)0 (0)0 (0)0.006Breast cancer (1.7)3 (0.4)1 (1.4)0 (0)0.181Colon cancer4 (0.9)4 (0.2)1 (0.7)1 (0.7)0.046Basal cell carcinoma6 (1.3)9 (0.4)1 (0.7)4 (3)<0.001Lymphoma0 (0)4 (0.2)3 (2)0 (0)<0.001*ANOVA or chi-square for continuous and qualitative variables, respectively.Acknowledgements:This study was conducted under the umbrella of the International Society for Spondyloarthritis Assessment (ASAS).Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract:
Amaç: Aksiyal spondiloartitler (axSpA) kronik inflamatuar romatolojik hastalıklardan olup ağrı yaşam kalitelerini etkileyen en sık semptomdur. Literatürde ağrının her zaman inflamasyonla korele olmadığı gösterilmiştir.

Abstract We show that in theories of gravitation based on affine geometries the torsion field, that takes a dynamical character, not only the chiral magnetic effect (CME) intervenes in the wash up of the chiral anomaly but also the chiral vortical effect (CVE) and the coupled chiral effect (CCE) coming from the hypermagnetic field interaction with the primordial plasma are crucial in a realistic physical scenario, as in the case of the early universe. We also show that the equation governing the wash up takes the form given in this paper, supplemented with the dynamical equation for the torsion vector containing the helicities and other axial couplings. The role played by the neutrinos in the interaction with the axion field in this theoretical framework is briefly discussed.

Abstract:
Permanent magnet axial bearing axial stiffness analysis is critical in the design process of permanent magnetic bearing. This article establishes the axial magnetic model through the equivalent magnetic charge method, but the equivalent magnetic charge method solving the axial force need work out four complicated quadruple integrals. The calculation cycle the traditional method is too long, and even cannot get analytical solution. On the contrary, the method of through Forcal language programming to approximate computation bearing axial force makes the solving process simplification. The stiffness of the permanent magnet bearing with equivalent magnetic charge method is verified by comparing the simulating result obtained by using the finite element method. The conclusion is that the equivalent magnetic charge method can be used to calculate the axial stiffness of permanent magnet bearings and provide the basis of the axial permanent bearings design.

Abstract:
Abstract In this mini review, we discuss some recent developments regarding properties of (quantum) field-theory models containing anti-Hermitian Yukawa interactions between pseudoscalar fields (axions) and Dirac (or Majorana) fermions. Specifically, we first motivate physically such interactions, in the context of string-inspired low-energy effective field theories, involving right-handed neutrinos and axion fields. Then we proceed to discuss their formal consistency within the so-called Parity-Time-reversal(PT)-symmetry framework. Subsequently, we review dynamical mass generation, induced by the Yukawa interactions, for both fermions and axions. The Yukawa couplings are assumed weak, given that they are conjectured to have been generated by non-perturbative effects in the underlying microscopic string theory. The models under discussion contain, in addition to the Yukawa terms, also anti-Hermitian anomalous derivative couplings of the pseudoscalar fields to axial fermion currents, as well as interactions of the fermions with non-Hermitian axial backgrounds. We discuss the role of such additional couplings on the Yukawa-induced dynamically-generated masses. For the case where the fermions are right-handed neutrinos, we compare such masses with the radiative ones induced by both, the anti-Hermitian anomalous terms and the anti-Hermitian Yukawa interactions in phenomenologically relevant models.

Abstract:
the idea of an axial age in the mid-first millennium b.c. has a long history but was crystallized by karl jaspers in his 1949 book the meaning and goal of history. since then, voegelin, eisenstadt and many others have contributed to clarifying the four cases of axial “breakthrough”, to use jaspers's term, namely ancient israel, greece, india, and china. a number of significant background conditions — economic, social, and political — have been identified that indicate dramatic social change all across the old world, but there is no clear indication of the causal relation of these changes to the emergence of strikingly new cultural-religious formations. this article uses categories derived from the work of merlin donald to argue that in all four cases “theoretic” culture was applied to the reformulation of basic cultural premises, though “mimetic” and “narrative” traditions that had been central in older civilizations continued to be significant, but reformulated in the light of the new theoretic understandings. the four cases, however, are far from homogeneous. they show such differences between them that we can speak of “multiple axialities”, as we have come to speak of “multiple modernities”.

<p>To solve the problem of stall warning for axial compressors, this paper proposes a stall warning algorithm based on the sparrow search algorithm, which optimizes the deep belief network. The deep belief network is trained by using deep learning to extract the FFT spectrum of compressor stall experiment data directly as the feature vector. To improve the accuracy of DBN classification, parameters of hidden layer nodes n and initial weights w of DBN were optimized by SSA algorithm, and stall warning algorithm model of SSA-DBN axial-flow compressor was established. The experimental results of the algorithms show that the stall data at each speed is at least 0.1~0.3s in advance for early warning. This method is 0.075~0.281s ahead of the various models from the past to the present, and noise is superimposed on the experimental data to verify the Robustness of the way, better surge warning margin performance, and engineering practicability. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Abstract:
Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) encompasses both radiographic and non-radiographic axSpA. It is a chronic inflammatory disease with a predilection for involving the axial skeleton. The most common presenting symptoms are chronic back pain and spinal stiffness but peripheral and extra-musculoskeletal manifestations occur also frequently. The diagnosis of axSpA relies on the recognition of a clinical pattern of the disease, based on clinical, laboratory and imaging features. The Assessment in SpondyloArthritis international Society classification criteria for axSpA are valid and well implemented for research purposes. Sustained disease activity, measured by validated tools such as the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score, leads to irreversible structural damage and poor functioning and therefore should be abrogated. As part of the management algorithm, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs remain as the first line of pharmacological treatment besides physiotherapy. As a second line, tumour necrosis factor inhibitor and interleukin-17 inhibitor are available but recently Janus kinase inhibitors have also shown efficacy in improving symptoms of the disease.

Abstract:
The dark matter particle can be a QCD axion or axion-like particle. A locally over-densed distribution of axions can condense into a bound Bose–Einstein condensate called an axion star, which can be bound by self-gravity or bound by self-interactions. It is possible that a significant fraction of the dark matter axion is in the form of axion stars. This would make some efforts searching for the axion as the dark matter particle more challenging, but at the same time it would also open up new possibilities. Some of the properties of axion stars, including their emission rates and their interactions with other astrophysical objects, are not yet completely understood.
