Abstract:
The aim of the work is to automate the stand that simulates the technological equipment of oil tank farms, including the hydraulic part and automation tools for controlling and monitoring, using the necessary hardware and software, to study the operation of protection and blocking algorithms, alarms and automatic control in accordance with industry regulations and requirements for microprocessor equipment control systems at hazardous production facilities. The objective is to create a modern level and temperature control system. The research uses the method of system analysis, the theory of automatic control, structural solutions of human-machine systems designed to automate production and intelligent support of control processes and the necessary data processing in organizational, technological and distributed control systems. As a result of the study a block diagram of the stand is developed based on the well-known three-level model of a typical automated process control system for monitoring the level and temperature of the tank farm. The novelty of the work lies in building a model of an automated control system for a tank farm with a distributed structure to study its operation. The findings of the research state that the proposed automated control system of the level and temperature monitoring system stand is a model of a real tank farm and implements all the basic functions associated with automating technological and control operations, which allows studying its work in the laboratory. It fully fits into the terms of designing modern automated process control systems, which makes it a good subject for studying as part of advanced training courses for students of educational institutions in the direction of “Automated control systems for oil pipeline transport”.

Abstract:
The current level of technology in terms of instruments, devices and software enables the construction of local intelligent transport systems that contribute to the prevention of accidents. It has become possible to build crewless and unmanned vessels. Geographical information services such as Google Maps, Mapbox, OpenStreetMap have already shown their effectiveness. The relevance of the study stems from the possibility to partially automate ship’s route planning nowadays. As navigation monitoring is carried out by means of VHF (very high frequency) - Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers, the authors propose to collect and analyse data. However, for the construction of the geographical information system and data processing, the authors justified the proposal to build the concept, methodological foundations, mathematical models and scenarios, which will serve as the basis for the development of software for the geographical information system. They propose data types for constructing time/speed matrices for planning optimal routes based on the current navigational situation. The data collected will provide a 12-36 hour forecast and allow for the determination of vessel speeds and times, considering vessel specifications, traffic of other vessels, queue at locks, forecast of hydro- and meteorological conditions, estimates of traffic intensity and density. The service is expected to optimise the route in terms of speed and journey time to meet the transport and logistics challenge.

Abstract:
Logistics and transport have become an increasingly important topic in recent years. In this kind of scenario, being able to offer added value to users means an important improvement in the services offered by the different companies. Different actors take part in the process of sending, transportation and collection of the different products through roads, ports and airports. During this process different aspects of security must be taken into account, since an error in one of them can cause major problems for public health, nature or even the economy of a country. With all this in mind, this work proposes a new system that allows us, through the use of wireless technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification, Global Positioning System, Wi-Fi Direct and mobile communication technologies, to automate the process of authentication and tracking of different products and goods. The proposed scheme allows through the use of the cloud the creation of a ubiquitous communications system for monitoring, control and even automation of repositioning orders automatically. In addition, the use of a system based on blockchain allows to carry out the whole process in an optimal way that guarantees the privacy and immutability of the data referring to the transports and merchandise. This work allows to reduce costs and improve the quality of the processes of sending, transport and reception of products for the different companies involved in the supply chain.

Abstract:
The article considers the possibility of using planned-prevention system in modern conditions. The system of vehicle telematics and remote diagnostics allows you to automate the getting of correction coefficients to determine the standard values of labor intensity of maintenance and repair and make calculations with high accuracy. The mileage before major repairs or write-off of the vehicle set by the manufacturer is also corrected for coefficients. The use tools of navigation allows you to determine the location of the vehicle in the coordinates of navigation maps with characteristics of the road surface, locality, with the definition of height above sea level and road-climate zoning. This method is an alternative solution that allows you to automate the mileage and labor intensity of technical actions and can be used to clarification parameters. To implement these principles, we propose a flowchart for processing transport telematics data for calculating correction coefficients, followed by calculating the periodicity and labor intensity. The proposed flowchart is implemented by a standard vehicle telematics system, but it can be upgraded with the possibility of remote diagnostics, which allows performing the functions of general diagnostics of individual systems and the vehicle as a whole. The use of systems of transport monitoring make it possible to improve the system of maintenance and repair. Analysis of the existing requirements regulated by documents in the perspective of the capabilities of modern transport telematics systems allows us to justify and create a new approach to the calculation of mileage before technical impacts and adjust the standards for the complexity of performing these impacts. The introduction of the general remote diagnostics function for individual systems and the vehicle as a whole makes it possible to eliminate errors in the calculation of correction coefficients, as well as to prevent the occurrence of failures during operation.

Abstract:
Purpose. To increase output of traffic network while deriving new dependencies of transport flow characteristics upon control law parameters and using them to develop an algorithm to automate a process of the transport flow coordinated regulation within towns and cities. Methodology. The aggregated simulation model, describing processes of road traffic formation within a local section of urban traffic system, is used for the analysis of dependencies to assess quality of transport flow control upon correcting conditions being parameters of traffic cycles within intersections. The abovementioned should involve a PID controller as well as a negative feedback idea to automate control of the road traffic process. In this context, control criterion is applied to determine critical flow intensity if a traffic jam occurs. The criterion makes it possible to identify changes in the road traffic nature. To determine the optimal settings of the PID controller for different stocks of the stability control system, the standard deviation of the controlled variable from the set value and the mean static control error are defined. The derived dependencies of control quality criteria upon a law of flow regulation have helped develop a new algorithm of the coordinated automated road traffic control within a local section of urban traffic section using standard control action. Simulation experiments made it possible to assess efficiency of the proposed algorithm of control compared with available ones applied in terms of different road conditions. Findings. As a part of the studies, algorithm of the coordinated automated road traffic has been developed. It helps support maximum output of road systems while monitoring changes in the traffic environment characteristics. Originality. For the first time, dependencies of assessment criteria of traffic flow control upon the parameters of a law of flow intensity regulation have been identified if maximum output of road systems is provided. The dependencies have helped substantiate optimum control criteria for different road conditions while automating a process of coordinated traffic flow regulation within local section of urban traffic network. Practical value. The proposed dependencies of assessment criteria of traffic flow control upon the parameters of a law of flow intensity regulation as well as the algorithm of automated coordinated control are the theoretical foundations to solve such an important applied scientific problem as automation of a process of urban traffic flow regulation.

The proposes of article is a fundamentally new method of designing innovative transport systems is the method of developmental design. The object of study to innovative transport systems as part of the general technosphere of the Earth. The purpose of the work is to determine the methods of improving the technical level of innovative transport systems and approaches to their development using scientific knowledge that is on the verge of the world knowledge threshold. The method of developmental design refers to methods of increasing the flexibility of the system while maintaining consistently high operational and economic performance of the system. Research method: system analysis and complex structural-parametric optimization. The existing methods of designing innovative transport systems are based on a combination of heuristic and computational approaches. They provide for the initial formation of the concept of innovative transport systems, the definition of their structural compositions on the basis of intuitive-reflex procedures and the subsequent calculation of technical and economic indicators of all elements of innovative transport systems. A distinctive feature of the existing methods is the insufficient formalization of the first phase of design, and, as a result, insufficient predictability of obtaining the necessary solutions, the lack of guarantees for solving problems in general. This feature, together with the need to automate engineering work and harmonize relations in the system “Nature – Technology – Man” creates the need to find other design methods that would provide more efficient procedures and synthesis results. Abstract:
This project was developed to be designed in a real-time monitoring and alert system, applying the iot concept, for a cooler, which aims to ensure that a cold chain is maintained during a transport stage that uses as coolers. Rather, it is quite an easy-to-use design and other functional systems, which can be used for real-time monitoring as well. This system has the location functions: temperature and temperature control of the cooler, its sound alert emission. If the box temperature monitoring falls into the ideal range, the system detects and emits a sound in the box and sends the temperature, humidity and protection to the actions of an alert location, preserving the immediate actions taken for the cargo transport. A circuit with the Arduino microcontroller is used to automate this system, together with sensors and modules. The results obtained were satisfactory and the tests were carried out with the proposed objective. Therefore, it is concluded that the project worked correctly, meeting the essential requirements of a real-time monitoring system. With this, increasing confidence in the transport of pharmaceutical products, guaranteeing their diligence.

Abstract:
Currently, there is an increase in information for data mining in transport systems, the main reason is the increase in the number of heterogeneous sources. The relevance of the topic lies in the need to collect, process, aggregate, and model large volumes of unstructured information that cannot be effectively processed by traditional methods. With the increasing flow of vehicles, its diversity, there is a need to optimize the processes of transportation and logistics, increase the system safety of road traffic. The creation of an information knowledge base will help to solve a number of important problems, including: the efficiency of road use, reduction of toxic emissions, control and unloading of traffic flows, reduction in the number of accidents, and prompt notification of services. The idea of developing a unified centralized traffic control system is described. To collect, store and process heterogeneous information, it is proposed to use a cloud infrastructure with split computation. For the purpose of high-quality processing and aggregation of heterogeneous information, it is recommended to investigate hidden dependencies in the data, build and analyze various aggregation options and interpret them in relation to specific tasks. The system should connect all participants in ground traffic, collect dissimilar materials that can be obtained from their devices and a variety of sensors, and also automate the management and decision-making in transport systems. Unstructured information must be correctly interpreted, categorized, and consistently labeled to identify implicit relationships between data. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the formation of the functions of the system being developed, the description of the main aspects, requirements, interfaces, models and methods for aggregating heterogeneous data. The results of the work can be used not only for analyzing big data in the field of transport, but also in other directions when solving problems of processing heterogeneous information.

Abstract:
The article discusses a way to automate the organization of the work of the support service for users of automated control systems (ACS) of transport enterprises. In the context of digitalization, constant improvement, expanding the functionality of such automated control systems, and an increase in the number of their users, the urgency of the problem is beyond doubt. The work of the support service for users of the automated control system of transport enterprises is presented as a queuing system. The possibility of using various methods to solve the problem is analyzed. A description of the work of the support service, methods of forming its departments are given. The incidents she deals with are classified. An algorithm for the formation of support service departments has been developed. It is proposed to solve this problem using a genetic algorithm. The algorithm and the concepts that characterize it are adapted to achieve the goal stated in the article. Crossover variants are presented that can be used by the genetic algorithm to solve various classes of problems. With the help of the developed software, modeling of the organization of the work of the support service was carried out using the algorithm for the distribution of employees. A comparative analysis of the results of modeling the work of departments with various methods of their formation, including those obtained using a genetic algorithm, has been carried out. The analysis showed the effectiveness of the use of the genetic algorithm when planning the work of the relevant departments. The possibility of adapting the developed algorithm for planning the work of personnel involved in the technical maintenance of the infrastructure of urban rail transport systems has been demonstrated. This task is similar to that considered in this article, since in many cases it becomes necessary or possible to use employees with different competencies to perform only one type of work.

Abstract:
The verification of vehicle documents is an important role of transport department which is rising day by day due to the mass registration of the vehicles. An automated vehicle verification system can improve the efficiency of this process. In this paper, we propose an IOT based vehicle verification system using RFID technology. As a result, the vehicle checking which is done now manually can be replaced by automation. There is a loss of a significant amount of time when the normal vehicle checking is done manually. The proposed system will make this process automated. The present verification process is using inductive loops that are placed in a roadbed for detecting vehicles as they pass through the loop of the magnetic field. Similarly, the sensing devices spread along the road can detect passing vehicles through the Bluetooth mechanism. The fixed audio detection devices that can be used to identify the type of vehicles on the road. Other measurements are fixed cameras installed in specific points of roads for categorising the vehicles. But all these mechanisms cannot verify the documents and certificates of the vehicles. In our work, we have suggested an algorithm using RFID technology to automate the documentation verification process of the vehicles like Pollution, Insurance, Rc book etc with the help of RFID reader placed at road checking areas. This documents will be updated by the motor vehicle department at specific periods.

Background. Automation helps improve laboratory operational efficiency and reduce the turnaround time. Pneumatic tube systems (PTS) automate specimen transport between the lab and other areas of the hospital. Its effect on complete blood count (CBC) and coagulation is still controversial.Aim. To study the effects of pneumatic tube system sample transport on complete blood count and coagulation parameters to compare them with hand delivered samples.Methods. 75 paired samples for complete blood count and 25 paired samples for coagulation analysis were compared between samples sent via pneumatic tube system and hand delivered system.Results. PTS showed significant decrease in red cell indices such as MCV and RDW and increase in MCHC. Other red cell parameters and WBC parameters showed no statistical significant difference. Statistically significant increase in platelet count was observed with PTS samples. However, these differences were clinically insignificant. No significant effect of PTS was found in PT and APTT samples compared to the hand delivered samples.Conclusion. Despite statistically significant changes in RBC parameters such as MCV, RDW, and MCHC and platelet count, these changes were clinically insignificant. Hence, blood samples for CBC and coagulation assay can safely be transported via our hospital’s PTS. However, further studies on platelet count are warranted to ensure safe transport and accuracy of the results.

Abstract:
A laboratory designed to carry out totally automated high throughput screening (HTS) assays was established recently at the Roche Research Center in Nutley, NJ. The system was designed by Sagian Inc. and uses an optimized robot for chemical analysis (ORCA) robotic arm to transport microplates from station to station. One of the first assays adapted for automation was a scintillation proximity assay (SPA), which screens for inhibitors of binding of a transcription factor to its target DNA. The SPA format was chosen because it is microplate based, and the required instrumentation is available in robot-friendly configurations. In addition to collecting inhibition data, we have compiled control data to assess the quality of results generated by a completely automated HTS system. Generation of usable data began approximately 1 month after the initial setup of the automated system. Results from automated and manual assays of the same compounds correlated well (r = 0.969), confirming the accuracy of the automated method. Over 25,000 compounds and mixtures have been tested in the automated SPA. Confirmatory assays revealed a false positive rate of -1.6%, possibly due to inadequate conditions during interim compound storage. Positive control data showed excellent within-plate and within-run reproducibility. The consistency and reproducibility of the data led to the elimination of duplicate determinations, doubling throughput to 2000 compounds/8 h.

Abstract:
Effective organization of intercity transportation largely depends on optimization of the operational search for cargo for the transit component of the route. Carriers have the opportunity to get additional income with minimal additional costs, and transport customers get the opportunity to transport at minimum tariffs. Information interaction systems of transport market participants are used for rapid search of goods and transport. Automation of the processes of information interaction of transport market participants will significantly increase the efficiency of such information systems [1, 2]. A two-level model of information interaction is proposed, which at the first level considers the interaction «carrier-customer», and at the second one operational interaction at the level «transport-cargo». This approach allows you to automate the formation of pairs not only taking into account the technological compatibility of the cargo (application for transportation) and the vehicle, but also taking into account such non-technological parameters as reliability, payment terms, the tax system used. Based on the proposed two-level model, a modified algorithm of the minimum concessions method is proposed. Preservation of stability of pairs when using this algorithm is justified. Based on formation of a data set of actions (decisions) of customer managers and carriers, it is possible to form neural networks that minimize routine actions in the interregional transportation market and increase efficiency of information interaction.

Abstract:
Lustre is a synchronous data-flow declarative language widely used for safety-critical applications (avionics, energy, transport...). In such applications, the testing activity for detecting errors of the system plays a crucial role. During the development and maintenance processes, Lustre programs are often evolving, so regression testing should be performed to detect bugs. In this paper, we present a tool for automatic regression testing of Lustre programs. We have defined an approach to generate test cases in regression testing of Lustre programs. In this approach, a Lustre program is represented by an operator network, then the set of paths is identified and the path activation conditions are symbolically computed for each version. Regression test cases are generated by comparing paths between versions. The approach was implemented in a tool, called LusRegTes, in order to automate the test process for Lustre programs.

Abstract:
Currently, computer vision technologies used in event monitoring systems to solve security problems in the field of transport, data protection, medicine are becoming an increasingly promising direction. Video surveillance sys-tems generate petabytes of data every day, and only a small part is used in processing. The use of video analytics will eliminate the need for storing and processing unnecessary data, their manual viewing, which will directly affect the cost, complexity and speed of solving operational production tasks of responding to incidents. The data from video cameras, information collected from different sources and used together for analysis would make it possible to more effectively and quickly identify and prevent various undesirable events. It is possible to automate the analysis of complex structured data, reducing the influence of the human factor, eliminating errors and abuses, using artificial intelligence methods, neural networks. But modern intelligent video analytics systems have drawbacks. Many systems are focused on the recognition of a certain type of images, can work in limited subject areas and under certain environmental conditions. Recognition algorithms are associated with a large number of false positives, especially in conditions of a rapidly increasing data volume, the degree of uncertainty of input information, therefore, it is proposed to supplement event monitoring systems. The systems contain a large number of settings and rules, which complicates the understanding of the system. Abstract:
This article is devoted to the issues and related problems of intelligent interaction of road and sea transport in the organization of multimodal international transportation. Since, today, the bulk of transportation is carried out with the participation of two or more types of vehicles, a multimodal delivery scheme is in most cases the only possible one when sending goods to another country, as well as to achieve an optimal ratio of quality, price and time. However, there is a problem of inconsistency in the technological process, due to the lack of development of the information management system. The article deals with the main problems of vehicle interaction, shortcomings in the process of intellectual interaction of elements of the transportation process, and their impact on the organization of transportation in the context of a conditional enterprise. Insufficient attention is paid to resolving issues of interaction and eliminating the causes of its inefficiency, while any complex system, which is undoubtedly a transport and logistics system, taking into account the requirements and security conditions imposed on it, in order to optimize, automate processes and smoothly organize work and interaction between individual elements of the system, it is necessary to detailed ordering and systematization of operations and actions that occur in the processes of this system. The mainlimiting factor for successful interaction is the lack of an intelligent management model in the organization of the transport process.

The assembly of large components is characterized by manual processes and customer-specified products. These are just two of the challenges for the efficient automation of assembly processes. In the field of large component assembly, the goal is to synchronize between the handling system and the moving work piece placed on an unguided transport system. One approach to solve this problem is a direct reference between the product and the assembled work piece. This referencing is done by using a global reference system in which every handling system can be referenced to every work piece throughout the whole production line. This article will show the first results using a global reference to track large components on an unguided conveyor. Moreover, it investigates the question if the metrology system, which was used here, is able to detect even small position deviations on higher frequencies.

Abstract:
Various methods of operation of complex transport systems imply knowledge of mathematical models of their components. To obtain adequate models of such components, it is necessary to take into account the physical and chemical processes occurring in them. Previously, the authors developed a potential-flow method within the framework of modern nonequilibrium thermodynamics – a unified approach to the analysis and modeling of processes of various physical and chemical nature. In accordance with this approach, as well as with the methods of mechanics, the theory of electric and magnetic circuits, electrodynamics, etc., state functions for the properties of substances and the processes under consideration are set up to the experimentally studied constant coefficients. The system of equations of the considered processes dynamics is obtained from the given state functions. The desired model (digital portrait) of the considered component is constructed by numerical-analytical transformation of the dynamic equations system based on the use of experimental data. The need to automate the proposed method of obtaining digital portraits is due to its complexity and the need to process a large amount of data. An information and computing system is proposed, which implies the construction of a block diagram of the processes in the component under consideration (model-oriented approach). Modeling these processes using a block diagram at different values of unknown parameters allows us to approximate the model (digital portrait) a component based on the resulting set of output characteristic dynamics using machine learning libraries. Process modeling and further approximation of the model is parallelized. This paper is devoted to a distributed information-computing system that implements the creation of various complex systems digital portraits.

Abstract:
For the English full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT The quality of services provided by transport organizations depends largely on the state of their logistics infrastructure. High differentiation of companies in the contract logistics market makes it difficult to select a partner, which may lead to a decrease in the level of order service. The subject of the analysis is the logistics infrastructure of transport companies performing logistics services. The objective of the study is to develop indicators for assessing the logistics infrastructure of transport companies as partners of focus companies, e. g. of JSC Russian Railways, in supply chains. Following this purpose, the article proposes to introduce a process approach to assessing the logistics infrastructure of transport companies, starting by offering an approach to the notion of logistics infrastructure. It is assumed that the use of a suggested multilevel set of criteria for assessing the logistics infrastructure, simultaneously with the results of the logistics activities of partner companies, and monitoring of these data will solve the following tasks: automate the process of collecting and processing data on transport companies as participants in supply chains; reduce the time for analysis and selection of a partner in the supply chain, taking into account its infrastructure characteristics and performance in previous periods; in the future will allow to move to digitalization of the process of organizing the supply chain and increase the segment of high margin transportation, by reducing the delivery time and increasing the quality of logistics services. Study of proposed criteria was conducted at the example of Irkutsk region. Abstract:
The UK is home to several major air commercial and transport hubs. As a result, there is a high demand for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services to ensure that fleets of aircraft are in airworthy conditions. MRO services currently involve heavy manual labor. This creates bottlenecks, low repeatability, and low productivity. Presented in this paper is an investigation to create an automation cell for the fan-blade reconditioning component of MRO. The design and prototype of the automation cell is presented. Furthermore, a digital twin of the grinding process is developed and used as a tool to explore the required grinding force parameters needed to effectively remove surface material. An integration of a 6-DoF industrial robot with an end-effector grinder and a computer vision system was undertaken. The computer vision system was used for the digitization of the fan-blade surface as well as tracking and guidance of material removal. Our findings reveal that our proposed system can perform material removal, track the state of the fan blade during the reconditioning process and do so within a closed-loop automated robotic work cell.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the development of models framework for digital transformation of processes in corporate and public procurement systems. In particular, the solution of the problem of multicriteria choice in economic systems described by the three-part graph "producer — resource — consumer" is considered. A mathematical model for the optimal distribution of a homogeneous resource from suppliers to consumers in a centralized procurement system is proposed. This model is reduced to a transport problem with intermediate points. Optimization is aimed at achieving maximum compliance in terms of the totality of technical and commercial characteristics of a homogeneous resource. To set the requirements for these characteristics on the part of the consumer, it is proposed to use fuzzy variables. This provides the consumer with a flexible mechanism for describing resource requirements based on his preferences. An operator of aggregation of local correspondences concerning a set of characteristics is proposed in the form of a discrete Choquet integral with a fuzzy measure. Using the example of production equipment, it is shown how it is possible to formalize the parameters of the model, and then to optimize and automate the process of distributing equipment by solving a transport problem with intermediate points in such a way, that the maximum correspondence in its characteristics is achieved. The developed models and algorithms can be used to create information services on electronic trading platforms, including the of public procurement.

Abstract:
Regular inspection of railway track health is crucial for maintaining safe and reliable train operations. Factors, such as cracks, ballast issues, rail discontinuity, loose nuts and bolts, burnt wheels, superelevation, and misalignment developed on the rails due to non-maintenance, pre-emptive investigations and delayed detection, pose a grave danger and threats to the safe operation of rail transport. The traditional procedure of manually inspecting the rail track using a railway cart is both inefficient and prone to human error and biases. In a country like Pakistan where train accidents have taken many lives, it is not unusual to automate such approaches to avoid such accidents and save countless lives. This study aims at enhancing the traditional railway cart system to address these issues by introducing an automatic railway track fault detection system using acoustic analysis. In this regard, this study makes two important contributions: data collection on Pakistan railway tracks using acoustic signals and the application of various classification techniques to the collected data. Initially, three types of tracks are considered, including normal track, wheel burnt and superelevation, due to their common occurrence. Several well-known machine learning algorithms are applied such as support vector machines, logistic regression, random forest and decision tree classifier, in addition to deep learning models like multilayer perceptron and convolutional neural networks. Results suggest that acoustic data can help determine the track faults successfully. Results indicate that the best results are obtained by RF and DT with an accuracy of 97%.

Abstract:
In any transport system, especially at industrial railway junctions, it is fundamentally important to build an effective timetable (traffic schedule) to regulate traffic flows. The task is complicated by the high dimensionality of the railway network of the node, the large number of variable parameters associated with scheduling the use of a traction resource (locomotives) during operation for sorting wagons and transporting payloads (ore, fuel, finished products and empty wagons). The problem is that most plotting problems are NP-hard, i.e. the algorithms for solving them, used to automate the process, may require an unacceptably long execution time by traditional methods of solving this problem (sequential, using reference information; method of thread laying). The article deals with the issues of building a mathematical model for dispatching an industrial railway junction to minimize the time of using locomotives in order to increase the efficiency of its operation. The mathematical model uses the technique of neuro-fuzzy computing to determine the parameters for identifying fuzzy systems and calculating the priorities of operations in the framework of creating a flexible schedule for the decision support system of the dispatching service. The results of modeling and recommendations on the use of the developed methodology are presented.

Abstract:
The paper deals with collision prevention problem in maritime transport in the area of the narrow canals with predefined routes. The Dover incident, which is analysed and described in the paper, has shown that the control of the passage of ships through the critical areas must be upgraded with an automatic supervising system, which warns the human operator of incorrect ship motion and help the operator to make the right and timely decision. The general idea is to improve the safety of navigation by introduction of automatic collision prevention based on automated supervisor helping to human operator in Vessel Traffic System (VTS) control centre. The VTS supervisor automatically monitors marine traffic by using data from Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA) radar and others sensors. Such supervisor detects real time and Course Over Ground (COG) of the vessel entering a particular sector, and then estimates the required time for vessel’s passage into another sector. VTS supervisor compares the real time and estimated time of passage of the specific ship through particular sector as a part of surveillance area. In addition, it compares and monitors the deviation of the course during transition of zones (sectors). If significant difference for both values are occurred VTS supervisor triggers a time alarm or a course alarm respectively. In the paper authors have modelled and simulated collision prevention with performed by the alarm actions of VTS supervisor improved with algorithm module based on hybrid Petri net formalism and Visual Object Net ++ tool.

Automation within the transport system proved to be a remarkable investment inside the improvement of smart cities. ETC “Electronic Toll Collection” pursuits to cast off the holdup at toll gates by way of amassing toll fee electronically. Using this era we can reduce the congestion in tollbooths, in particular all through festive seasons while traffic has a tendency to be heavier than ordinary. The principle aim of this paper is to develop a conversation gadget to automate the vehicle access, go out toll series the usage of RF-Identification technology. Statistics can be without problems exchanged among the vehicle owners and toll management, thereby facilitating an extra effective toll collection by using decreasing traffic problems and abolishing feasible person made mistakes. Aurdino MEGA2560 microcontroller acts as the heart of the device. When any automobile passes thru the Toll Gate, the RFID tag, that's connected to the vehicle, receives scanned and an interrupt sign is dispatched to Aurdino from the RFID module. The microcontroller sends a signal to motor driver, GSM module and LED. On receiving the signal from Aurdino, LED turns from red to green because of this that the vehicle can pass thru the toll gate and the motor gets into movement via lifting the gate.

Abstract:
Microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) have been extensively proposed as ideal tools for point-of-care (POC) testing with minimal user training and technical requirements. However, most μPADs use dried bioreagents, which complicate production, reduce device reproducibility and stability, and require transport and storage under temperature and humidity-controlled conditions. In this work, we propose a μPAD produced using an affordable craft-cutter and stored at room temperature, which is used to partially automate a single-step colorimetric magneto-immunoassay. As a proof-of-concept, the μPAD has been applied to the quantitative detection of Plasmodium falciparum lactate dehydrogenase (Pf-LDH), a biomarker of malaria infection. In this system, detection is based on a single-step magneto-immunoassay that consists of a single 5-min incubation of the lysed blood sample with immuno-modified magnetic beads (MB), detection antibody, and an enzymatic signal amplifier (Poly-HRP). This mixture is then transferred to a single-piece paper device where, after on-chip MB magnetic concentration and washing, signal generation is achieved by adding a chromogenic enzyme substrate. The colorimetric readout is achieved by the naked eye or using a smartphone camera and free software for image analysis. This μPAD afforded quantitative Pf-LDH detection in <15 min, with a detection limit of 6.25 ng mL−1 when the result was interpreted by the naked eye and 1.4 ng mL−1 when analysed using the smartphone imaging system. Moreover, the study of a battery of clinical samples revealed concentrations of Pf-LDH that correlated with those provided by the reference ELISA and with better sensitivity than a commercial rapid diagnostic test (RDT). These results demonstrate that magneto-immunoassays can be partly automated by employing a μPAD, achieving a level of handling that approaches the requirements of POC testing.

However, due to lack of finances several businesses continue to require human labor in the production process, particularly in the operation of transferring items . Transportation activities at Dock 16 Ilir in Palembang City, starts with delivering items from the shop to the ship or vice versa by utilizing human strength in less ergonomic work positions with little consideration for the weight of the load. Whencarrying goods , the body is bent, the neck is bent, and the arms are distant from the body, putting the body at a very high risk of injury. This type of working position causes muscle aches ranging from mild to severe. The personnel seen in this investigation were rice transporters and cement transporters. The aim of this study is to quantify the workload and provide a design tool to help lessen worker concerns. The Nordic Body Map, Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), and Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS)methodologies were used in this investigation. The study's findings showed that the five cement transport workers and four rice transport workers were at risk of developing muscoskeletal illnesses, with a risk level of 3 to 4, indicating that the risk category is very high and comprehensive treatment is required as soon as feasible. According to the OWAS technique, the posture of rice transportation employees has a value of 3, indicating that they are at high danger. Meanwhile, the working posture of cement transportation has a score of 7 with a risk level of 4, indicating that the danger of MSDS is very high. The developing aids are projected to lower the danger of Muscoskeletal Disorders in a backpack-like style that can resist large loads and reduce the risk of Muscoskeletal Disorders.

Abstract:
The maintenance of critical infrastructure is a costly necessity that developing countries often struggle to deliver timely repairs. The transport system acts as the arteries of any economy in development, and the formation of potholes on roads can lead to injuries and the loss of lives. Recently, several countries have enabled pothole reporting platforms for their citizens, so that repair work data can be centralised and visible for everyone. Nevertheless, many of these platforms have been interrupted because of the rapid growth of requests made by users. Not only have these platforms failed to filter duplicate or fake reports, but they have also failed to classify their severity, albeit that this information would be key in prioritising repair work and improving the safety of roads. In this work, we aimed to develop a prioritisation system that combines deep learning models and traditional computer vision techniques to automate the analysis of road irregularities reported by citizens. The system consists of three main components. First, we propose a processing pipeline that segments road sections of repair requests with a UNet-based model that integrates a pretrained Resnet34 as the encoder. Second, we assessed the performance of two object detection architectures—EfficientDet and YOLOv5—in the task of road damage localisation and classification. Two public datasets, the Indian Driving Dataset (IDD) and the Road Damage Detection Dataset (RDD2020), were preprocessed and augmented to train and evaluate our segmentation and damage detection models. Third, we applied feature extraction and feature matching to find possible duplicated reports. The combination of these three approaches allowed us to cluster reports according to their location and severity using clustering techniques. The results showed that this approach is a promising direction for authorities to leverage limited road maintenance resources in an impactful and effective way.

A correctly selected positioning system for controlling the mobile robotic means movement ensures high positioning accuracy of the robotic platform in the garden, allows to automate precise operations in the garden and systematize route planning algorithms.(Research purpose) To substantiate the rational choice of a positioning system for controlling the mobile robotic device movement.(Materials and methods) The author formulated requirements for the positioning system to perform precise operations in the garden: mechanized collection of fruits and berries, diff erentiated application of fertilizers and chemical plant protection products. The main ones were: the positioning error was no more than 5 centimetres, the stability of information transfer to the server for building traffi c maps, the movement of a robotic device along a given trajectory, equipping beacons with a mobile power source with a capacity of at least 800 milliampere-hour, information exchange between the beacon and the built-in robotic means with a microprocessor controller according to the RS-485 standard, the signal coverage area was at least 100 square meter.(Results and discussion) The six most relevant positioning systems of the following manufacturers were described: RealTrac, Rusoft CKT, Neomatic, ISBC, Avtosensor, Marvelmind. The author compared their technical and operational parameters: operating frequencies, range, data transfer interface, location accuracy and cost of ready-made kits. He showed that Marvelmind provided uninterrupted operation at frequencies of 433 and 915 megahertz with a positioning error of no more than 2 centimetres. The tests were carried out on a small robotic vehicle with the following characteristics: maximum transport speed – 30 kilometre per hour, operating weight – 500 kilograms, length 2 metres, width – 1.2 metres, height – 1.6 metres.(Conclusions) The author substantiated the choice of the most suitable and aff ordable Marvelmind positioning system and experimentally confi rmed the positioning accuracy declared by the manufacturer. When driving in a loop-free and looped turn, the positioning accuracy did not exceed 1.5 centimetres, which met the agrotechnical requirements for mechanized collection of fruits and berries, for diff erentiated application of fertilizers and chemical plant protection products

Abstract:
A new optimization model of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) containing three objective and four constraint functions is presented in this paper. Majority of the researchers and publications in material handling field had performed optimization of different decision variables, but with single objective function only. Most common functions are: minimum travel time, maximum throughput capacity, minimum cost, maximum energy efficiency, etc. To perform the simultaneous optimization of objective functions (minimum: “investment expenses”, “cycle times”, “CO 2 footprint”) the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA II) was used. The NSGA II is a tool for finding the Pareto optimal solutions on the Pareto line. Determining the performance of the system is the main goal of our model. Since AS/RS are not flexible in terms of layout and organizational changes once the system is up and running, the proposed model could be a very helpful tool for the warehouse planners in the early stages of warehouse design

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The aim of this study is to explore the applicability of Agent Based Modelling (ABM) for the simulation of rainfall runoff and soil erosion used in a watershed monitoring activity. The study utilizes Landsat 8 imagery for Land Use Land Cover (LULC) map generation, ASTER DEM for obtaining elevation information and Climate Forecast System Reanalysis (CFSR) 36 year weather data of Asan watershed, Uttarakhand, India. In the proposed model, four major agents (raindrops, soil, elevation and water amount) have been defined for estimating the soil erosion in the region. Moreover, the direct runoff has been simulated using the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) method. The analysis of the entire time series using this approach shows that there have been substantial changes in the rainfall runoff pattern primarily due to the varying environmental conditions of the study area since the late 1980s. Furthermore, a rough estimate of the soil erosion and deposition in the area have been computed which is aligned with the theory of sediment transport and deposition. In order to automate the entire model workflow, an open source cross platform tool has been developed using Python, R and NetLogo libraries. The Open Agent Based Runoff and Erosion Simulation (OARES) tool incorporates a generic interface for analysing large spatio-temporal datasets in watershed studies. The overall analysis concludes that the results obtained using ABM are comparable to that of the conventional hydrological models, and henceforth, ABM could be utilized as a future potential hydrological modelling paradigm.</p>

Abstract:
Aim. At present there are quite a few systems that automate the control of a train or group of trains in order to reduce manual control and create an optimal schedule within the railway network. However, those systems are mostly based on rules of thumb and lack universality, so they have a fairly narrow scope of application. The original software and algorithmic complex considered in this article allows to solve this problem of multi-level planning, optimizes the capacity of the railway network, and minimizes violations of the due arrival times. Materials and methods. An original multi-model software and algorithmic complex, divided into several layers is used to solve the described problem of multi-level planning. At the lower level of the hierarchy, the movement of an individual train is planned, the next level is devoted to regarding the processes of passing a particular section of the network to technological works in terms of network planning, and at the upper level evaluation and optimization of integrated quality indicators for a whole group of trains, as well as evaluating and adding stability reserves to the built plan take place. Results. An original method and a software-algorithmic complex based on it were developed. This system solves the problem of planning and coordinating a group of trains within a single railway network in order to optimize its capacity and minimize violations of arrival deadlines. Along with this, the developed complex solves the problem of proactive real-time train control, and can be used as a decision support system. Conslusions. The proposed methodic, using fundamental approaches, can signifi cantly reduce the complexity of the original multidimensional computational problem by solving it by a hierarchy of models and reducing the original task to a network planning problem. The developed softwarealgorithmic complex solves a wide range of tasks in terms of train group movement planning and coordination, and has a high versatility. Therefore, the chosen approach has good prospects, but it requires further testing and application for real transport systems to prove its effi ciency.

Abstract:
Pavements are critical man-made infrastructure systems that undergo repeated traffic and environmental loadings. Consequently, they deteriorate with time and manifest certain distresses. To ensure long-lasting performance and appropriate level of service, they need to be preserved and maintained. Highway agencies routinely employ semiautomated and automated image-based methods for network-level pavement-cracking data collection, and there are different types of pavement-cracking data collected by highway agencies for reporting and management purposes. We design a shape-based crack detection approach for pavement health monitoring, which takes advantage of spatial distribution of potential cracks. To achieve this, we first extract Potential Crack Components (PCrCs) from pavement images. Next, we employ polynomial curve to fit all pixels within these components. Finally, we define a Shape Metric (SM) to distinguish crack blocks from background. We experiment the shape-based crack detection approach on different datasets, and compare detection results with an alternate method that is based on Support Vector Machines (SVM) classifier. Experimental results prove that our approach has the capability to produce higher detections and fewer false alarms. Additional research is needed to improve the robustness and accuracy of the developed approach in the presence of anomalies and other surface irregularities.

Abstract:
In recent years evolutionary computing algorithms have been proposed to solve many engineering problems. Genetic algorithms, Neural Networks, and Cellular Automata are the branches of evolutionary computing techniques. In this study, it is proposed to simulate the contaminant transport in porous media using a Cellular Automaton. The physical processes and chemical reactions occurring in the ground water system are intricately connected at various scales of space, time, transport coefficients and molecular concentration. The validity of continuous approach for the simulation of chemical systems with low concentration of species and intracellular environments has become subtle. Due to the difference in scales of various processes that occur in the ground water system, the description of the system can be well defined in the intermediate scale called mesoscopic scale, which is in between microscopic and macroscopic description. Mesoscopic models provide the relationship between various parameters and their evolvement in time, thus establishing the contact between modeling at various scales at the interface. In this paper, a Probabilistic Cellular Automaton (PCA) model has been developed based on the transport and reaction probability values. The developed model was verified and validated for one, two dimensional transport systems and also for the simulation of BTEX transport in two dimensional system in ground water.

Abstract:
Sustainable urban logistics has an important impact on the cities, which emphasizes the need for better management of logistics activities, including the usage of environmentally friendly transportation. The sustainability of cities, a concern that is on the agenda, is a very important topic pertaining to current political and societal issues. In this sense, although collaboration among urban logistics stakeholders on projects can be challenging, this effort pays off when there is a significant result for the sustainability of cities. This paper aims to present an Information System, named SOLFI (Sistema de Otimização para a Logística urbana com Fluxos Integrados), for planning management and control of urban logistics based on sustainability that integrates the transport of passengers and freight, using the city bus network and bicycles to perform last-mile deliveries. To develop the SOLFI solution and to ensure co-creation through a participative design approach, an agile methodology was used. In terms of results, the SOLFI integrates different agents in the movement of goods in urban centers with less polluting and small vehicles, in particular buses and bicycles. It represents a decision support system that is intended to operate in real-time, managing the entire process from the request until the load delivery to the final destination, to simplify, automate, and improve the urban logistics process. Thus, the main characteristics of SOLFI are to manage all the information required for this process in order to: (i) request quotation and acceptance management; (ii) deliver plan development to all the agents involved; (iii) manage the loads along the network; (iv) allow the tracking and control of requests along the network; and (v) enable replanning due to various possible disruptions that may occur during the process. SOLFI’s distinctive characteristic and main contribution result from the integration of all the transportation network and all agents in the same platform while considering synchronization among involved agents. The SOLFI solution allows for the reduction of traditional flows of goods, taking advantage of the availability of public passenger transport (buses) to perform the main travel distance within the city and the use of bicycles as a last-mile step. In this way, there is a reduction in the number of polluting vehicles in the city, meeting sustainability practices.

Abstract:
The article presents the problems connected with the performance evaluation of a flexible production system in the context of designing and integrating production and logistics subsystems. The goal of the performed analysis was to determine the parameters that have the most significant influence on the productivity of the whole system. The possibilities of using automated machine tools, automatic transport vehicles, as well as automated storage systems were pointed out. Moreover, the exemplary models are described, and the framework of simulation research related to the conceptual design of new production systems are indicated. In order to evaluate the system’s productivity, the use of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) metrics was proposed, which is typically used for stationary resources such as machines. This paper aims to prove the hypothesis that the OEE metric can also be used for transport facilities such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). The developed models include the parameters regarding availability and failure of AGVs as well as production efficiency and quality, which allows the more accurate mapping of manufacturing processes. As the result, the Overall Factory Efficiency (OFE) and Overall Transport Efficiency (OTE) metrics were obtained. The obtained outcomes can be directly related to similar production systems that belong to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or World Class Logistics (WCL), leading to the in-depth planning of such systems and their further improvement in the context of the Industry 4.0.
