Abstract:
The article highlights the problem of structural configuration of the representation of polymentality of the textual world. It focuses on the problem of polymentality (ambiguity) of the text. It is proposed to address it in the context of psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics. On that ground, the study substantiates the figure-background relations as a necessary characteristic of the manifestation of the author's sensorics. Such an approach allows not only revealing cognitive mechanisms that underlie polymentality of the literary text but also systematizing the structural configuration of its representation. The dynamics of figure-background relations (as a way of cognition) is fully manifested in the author's sensorics, often performing certain communicative tasks. The identification of common mechanisms of specificity of the interaction of figure and background in the interpretation of text meaning promotes the use of psychological approaches. The last represent the process of formation and perception of a new meaning as a process of self-organization of a complex system. The results show that the problem of the structural configuration of the representation of the polymentality of the literary text can be solved through the psychological analysis of the author's sensory in terms of figure-background relations in the gestalt-psychological discourse.

Abstract:
Literature as a cultural product reflects the social conditions of the stories it tells. In the pesantren ecosystem, the existence of the kiai as a central figure, social background and culture that is held for generations, has become the trigger for the roots of patriarchal culture to this day. Literature can be used as a means of conveying the author's ideology so that in literary works the author's tendencies can be identified. This study aims to analyze how the author's tendency towards patriarchal culture is reflected in Khilma Anis' novels. The objects studied were 3 novels by Khilma Anis, namely Jadilah Purnamaku, Ning (2016), Wigati: Lintang Manik Woro (2018), and Hati Suhita (2019). This research is a type of qualitative research. The approach used is feminist literary criticism. Data was collected by heuristic reading technique and then analyzed by hermeneutic technique. The results of the research show that in the novel Hati Suhita the author's tendency is the tendency to fight against patriarchal culture. Keywords: author’s tendencies, feminist literary criticism, novels, patriarchy

Abstract:
The subject of the research in the article is the reception of the figure and fate of Leo Tolstoy in biographies written in the period from 1894 to 2020, as well as its historical and cultural dynamics. The authors identify strategies for studying the life of Leo Tolstoy by biographers of different historical periods, which allows us to analyze and evaluate the dynamics of perception of the writer's figure in the XIX-XXI centuries. The reception of the figure of Leo Tolstoy in different historical periods is heterogeneous: the interpretation of the writer's image is influenced not only by the personal preferences of biographers, their goals and objectives, but also by the value orientations set by time. The historical epoch also influences the author's strategies for creating the image of Leo Tolstoy. Biographies of Leo Tolstoy written by different authors are devided into three groups: biographies created by contemporaries of Leo Tolstoy; biographies written by authors of the Soviet period; biographies of the post-Soviet period. Such division is due to a change in the historical context that affects the reception and interpretation of the image of the hero of the biography.

Abstract:
This study explains the presence of da’wa influencers on social media. To narrow the discussion, the author takes a case study on TikTok social media. This study aims to determine whether new figures of da’wa on social media shift the old religious authority or traditional figures. The author describes this discussion using Heidi Campbell's digital religion concept approach. The author's analysis shows that these da’wa influencers do not claim to be scholars or religious scholars. The delivery of their da’wa is relaxed and not patronizing. The existence of this new da’wa figure belongs to the logic of continuity and complementarity, which means that their legitimacy is a form of continuity or as a successor of the old figure's authority.

Abstract:
This study is devoted to the investigation of the narrator’s typology in the modern German-language travel novel, in particular the first-person narrative. The range of unresolved problems in the typology of the narrator is outlined, namely the expediency of studying the author’s image in a travel novel. On the example of the work of the famous German writer-traveler and reporter A. Altmann, the author's position is analyzed and the author's intentions are established. Peculiarities of the formation of modern wandering novel prose determine a high degree of autobiography in the work. Using the "I" -telling, the author-protagonist forms a combination of the real author, the narrator and the main character, offers the reader a world created by him, in which the focus is on the author's impressions and guidelines. For the reader to rethink, it remains to follow the author's reflection and determine which of the described is real and which is the author's fantasy. An attempt is made to analyze the author's selfpresentation at the compositional-speech and speech-stylistic levels. This novel is 12th of the 23 novels by the famous German reporter and travel writer A. Altmann. It is a combination of historical and geographical information, the stories of ordinary Australians, philosophical considerations and the author's reflection on what is seen. The figure of the author with his spiritual values and critical attitude to society found its imprint in the image of the author, creating the impression of complete identity with the real author. It is a novel with predominant compositional and speech forms - messages with descriptive elements and author's reflections. A typical architectural-speech form of the work is a monologue-reflection. At the speech-stylistic level, it should be noted the author's perfect use of a wide range of stylistically colored lexical layer from poetic to colloquial language. In the future, it is considered appropriate to compare and explore the author's position in the modern Ukrainian and German travel novel.

Abstract:
This article represents the author's experience in the comparative study of one of the figures of expressive syntax - chiasmatic constructions, functioning in fiction texts. The object of study in this study are chiasmas extracted from texts of fiction in Russian and French, the subject – linguopragmatic characteristics of chiasmatic constructions. Chiasmatic construction, or the figure of crossing, is one of the most complex and multifaceted rhetorical figures. Its appearance is the result of the interaction and fusion of several syntactic structures; this includes expressive constructions of syntactic parallelism, repetition, antithesis or contraposition, and inversion. The name itself comes from the peculiarities of the structure of the chiasmus, in which the second part is an inverse repetition of the first, such an intersection of parts generates a figure similar to the letter "x" - hence the ancient Greek name of the structure. Such constructions are individual, occurring mostly in winged sayings, phraseological units, fiction prose and most often in poetry. The conclusions and provisions developed in these studies, due to their theoretical value and significance, allow us to see the specificity of this figure of expressive syntax. At the same time, the analysis of the corresponding literature and the requirements for scientific research put forward by the time itself and the changes taking place in the society, which are naturally reflected in the language and in its functional stratification, testify to the necessity of the research directed to the complex illumination of problems of the syntax of a fiction text in the comparative aspect.

Abstract:
The article deals with the issues of artistic perception culture of fictional texts. The sufficiency of literary reading is derived from the aesthetic specificity of verbal art: from special status of an author's figure, from the special nature of the artistic sense, from the special text organization as a combination of the reader's impression factors. According to M. Bakhtin, literature is interpreted as the art of “indirect speaking”, where the author “puts on silence” because in fictional text we never deal with the writer's speech, it is always mediated by the figure of the talking hero or the narrator. The artistic perception of fictional texts should be studied as a reader's skill. The culture of reading is the complementarity of two differently directed vectors: it is a deep and sincere empathy, as if it were reality; on the other hand – the reader's creativity in relation to the text artfullness, which conceals the meaning of the art work. The artistic sense is actualized by the reader's consciousness as complementary to the author's consciousness manifested in the text.

Abstract:
The article studies the basis of the functional use of the author's self-image (I-author) as a constituent part of the literary discourse. The literary author’s position is based on them being the subject of study, a generalized carrier of the national culture of a certain period; this image may lose their personification features and become the interpreter of the traditional knowledge. At the same time, the author’s perception as the one conveying artistic relies on the theory of communicative activity, narratology, linguopoetics, stylistics, psycholinguistics, etc. The image of the I-author is perceived as a “mask” structured in the text, a carrier of a literary meaningful I-position, subjective intentions, and this figure hides an idealized author in various implementations on the one hand, while on the other hand it is a narrator close to a real or fictitious character, kind of a phantasmagorical figure. In any of its artistic incarnations, this image is relative, transformed, combining the features of various actors – an agent, character, witness, lyrical hero, who get changed in the process of becoming various positive, negative, or phantasmagorical figures. The position of the I-author as a part of the text creation process acquires different formal features; however, even when they try to avoid the role of an active figure the functional meaning remains and is felt at the level of deep meaning and subconscious understanding. Changes in the stylistic function of the I-author are caused by the desire to identify themselves as a character of the story, the one chosen because of the conditions of conveying the I-author position, as well as subjective-evaluative intentions, at least to some extent. The variability of this image embodiment relies on the discursive possibilities of it being included into a certain prose, poetic, or dramatic context, based on the description of contemporary or historical events, the desire to be or not to be relatable to the reader, to become similar to “others” or to rise above the cultural, educational, and social level of the reader. The indirect influence of the target audience is reflected both in direct “communication” with the recipient of the literary text and at the level of striving for mutual understanding, taking into account common semi-known moods and experiences, and ultimately at the level of a common linguistic world picture reproduction.

Abstract:
The author considers the possibility of studying a specific historical personality by the methods of pragmalinguistics based on the correspondence of I. V. Grozny in the aspect of the author's speech dominance. The research material is the personal letters of the tsar, the methods were the diagnosis of the speaker's speech personality by his speech behavior. This article proposes the use of pragmalinguistics methods that allow describing the speech portrait of Ivan the Terrible based on his use of grammatical and textual categories in correspondence with other monarchs and important historical figures. Thus, the subject of the study is the speech behavior of a historical figure in diachrony by the methods of pragmalinguistics. To date, the reconstruction of the linguistic appearance of the tsar has mainly been carried out on the basis of traditional methods of analyzing lexico-semantic and stylistic components and comparing them with a social portrait. The connection between language and thinking, which is considered by the example of correspondence, allows us to believe that the basic pragmalinguistic principles remain unchanged in the language for a long time and the functional abilities of grammatical categories to be associated with personal preferences remain despite linguistic variability. The conducted experiment of speech diagnostics allows the authors to study the aspect of the speech dominance of the personality of Ivan the Terrible at the level of linguistic pragmatics.

Abstract:
This article examines the subject of queues in the life and writings of Lu Xun (1881–1936), the most prominent figure in modern Chinese literature. The long-standing reluctance of readers and critics to associate this backward hairstyle with Lu Xun's iconic figure has restricted our understanding of the topic to two well-known satirical portraits in his short fiction, Ah Q and Sevenpounder. This article, however, proposes that the queue is of more than satiric interest—that the author's own experience raises fundamental questions about how he discloses and transmutes certain experiences in his writings. Starting from some little-studied events featuring queues in his pre-Republican years and a puzzling short story that recounts them, this essay analyzes the queue's autobiographical connections and their varied literary manifestations. It also makes a case for reexamining the uses of autobiography for a writer whose life story is an important part of his influence.

Abstract:
Jules Law, ““Transparency and Epistemology in George Eliot's Daniel Deronda”” (pp. 250––277) The recent turn in George Eliot scholarship toward historicism——and in particular toward intellectual and political history——has tended to occlude the epistemological metaphors in the author's work: those persistent figures that conjoin George Eliot's ethics to her aesthetics but that, according to an earlier generation of critics, also point to the essentially unstable nature of knowledge, whether ethical or aesthetic. This essay examines the figurative schematics and the epistemology by which George Eliot's politics are elaborated in her writing, focusing in particular on the figure of transparency and the thematics of political vocation, and culminating in the figure of the spectral Jew. Every end or purpose, like every origin, in George Eliot's novels is calibrated in relation to the twin horizons of absolute sameness and absolute difference. The tension between these two limits constitutes not only an epistemological, but also a cultural and political, dilemma: one that George Eliot broods constantly upon, most particularly in her ceaseless interrogation of what it would mean for a person to ““merge”” with his or her political or cultural destiny. This essay argues that George Eliot's uneasy reliance on the concept of transparency——of goals, of motives, of minds——bespeaks her yearning not only for self-evidence in the realm of meanings, but also for a sense of belonging in the realm of culture: a sense of belonging that is inextricable from a certain experience, and thus figuration, of language.

This article examines the Spanish author's newspaper column in the key of the basic concepts of classical rhetoric as an interdisciplinary science, which at the present stage allows to combine the "linguistics of expressiveness" with the consideration of linguistic material in the light of the communicative-discursive paradigm. The author's column is an example of "journalism of opinions", where thematic diversity, stylistic originality, linguistic creativity is due to the figure of the journalist with his thoughts, ideas, positions and the ultimate goal, which determines the nature of the selection of rhetorical strategies, arguments, compositional organization in order to influence the reader's perception and create a discourse of persuasion. This time the illustrative material was short columns by Manuel Vicente, a famous contemporary Spanish writer and long-time journalist of "El País". It is revealed that in the production of an analytical text there is an interpenetration of intention, arguments inventio, the order of presentation of materials dispositio with the help of appropriate discursive-expressive means elocutio. Just as it is impossible to distinguish these three rhetorical operations as purely sequential in a linear creative process, so res and verba are not absolutely separate concepts, they can be variably combined, since discourse is built according to the coordinates of integration into a heterogeneous network of texts, where the planes of res and verba are often woven into one, common linguistic fabric. This is the nature of publications demanded by the modern demanding reader, who is no longer a "passive recipient" of information. The journalist has to appeal to his mind, emotions, feelings, memory in order to "surprise" him, which means that elocutio goes beyond the simple "decoration" of speech, and returns us to the words, the process of their logical, contextual selection, combination, merging in the context to create in its compositional integrity the strength, effectiveness and persuasiveness of the article.

AbstractSidkeong Namgyal Tulku was a colourful figure in the history of Sikkim. This crown prince was an incarnated lama as well as a student at Oxford, and a member of the Royal Asiatic Society. This article considers the various roles of Sidkeong Tulku in the light of a Tibetan work by his hand, which has been previously not connected to his person. Written in 1909, it consists of ‘monastic guidelines’ (bCa’ yig) which are a clear witness to the time and circumstances they were written in. This traditionally framed work, authored by a supposed Buddhist modernist, addresses the education of monks, monastic economy, sex, and preaching to the laity. These guidelines shed light on the changing status of the monastery in Sikkim, in the midst of reforms and threats to Sikkimese sovereignty. In this article I examine the contents of these guidelines in the context of its author's eventful but short life, against the political, religious and social backdrop of a Buddhist kingdom in turmoil.

Abstract:
Gertrude Stein's 1909 extended textual portrait of Picasso at once tries to capture the artist anew, as he has never been rendered before, and resists closure and flatness of meaning. It is multi-faceted, cubist, repetitive but never static, trying to arrive at the essence of the artist, but acknowledging the slipperiness of its objective. In writing a portrait, biography or monograph, the author's challenge is to apprehend a subject and to distil the themes and techniques of his/her life and work, but without reducing that person to a one-dimensional outline. This is especially difficult when the figure is well-known, or at least when some aspect or aspects of that figure are well-known. It is a challenge that Eric Robertson not only faces, but relishes, in Arp: Painter, Poet, Sculptor (Yale University Press, 2006). When he writes that Arp, "seems to have fostered his multiple identity with a quite deliberate disregard for the biographer's task" (p. 3), it is in a spirit of admiration rather than complaint.

ABSTRACTUpdates on the statistics of English. Starting with excerpt from David Crystal, How many millions use English? (ET1, 1985). The author says: Reading this article again, that almost a quarter of a century on, the most noticeable change, it seems to me, has been in the amount and colour of the author's hair! That aside, I am struck by my final comment: ‘I shall stay with this figure for a while’ – a billion. It appears I stayed with it for a decade. In the first edition of my English as a Global Language (1997: 61) I raised my estimate, suggesting a middle-of-the-road figure of 1,350 million. In the second edition (2003: 69), a ‘cautious temperament’, I said, would suggest 1,500 million. And these days, having read the more sophisticated assessments by David Graddol and others, I am prepared to revise upwards again in the direction of 2 billion. In short, we have moved in 25 years from a fifth to a quarter to a third of the world's population being speakers of English.

Abstract:
Since the realization, at the beginning of this century, that the treatise Speculum musicae had been incorrectly attributed to Jehan des Murs by its first editor, Edmond de Coussemaker, the actual author of this voluminous work of music theory from the early fourteenth century has remained a shadowy figure. The most certain detail of the author's identity is his name, contained within an acrostic spelled out over the initials that begin each of the seven books of the treatise, rendering the given name IACOBUS. The provenances of the three surviving manuscript sources, all dating from approximately a century after the proposed date of Speculum musicae, suggest an Italian bias to the transmission of the work, but, as physical documents, the manuscripts have yet to yield any clues to the author's origins. The treatise itself is a bit more helpful. Besides offering the author's name, clues within the text have allowed for the formulation of the following hypothesis concerning the career of Jacobus: that he was probably born in the diocese of Liège, that he was a student in Paris in the late thirteenth century, and that he returned to Liège to complete the final books of his treatise, Books 6 and 7 of Speculum musicae. In what follows, I will first briefly evaluate the evidence previously marshalled to support this hypothesis, and I will then discuss new information pertinent to the biography of the author.

In this talk an account is given of the author's use of 4-alkynoic acid derivatives in the synthesis of members of the chlorin, bacteriochlorin and corrin classes of macrocyclic tetrapyrroles. In the case of chlorins, we employed a novel "2+2" condensation to prepare both C,D-symmetric and non-symmetric chlorins, made possible by the ready availability of highly substituted semicorrins derived from 4-alkynoic acids. Alkyne acids also played a prominent role in a new 16p-electrocyclization route to bacteriochlorins, and in iterative syntheses of semicorrins and secocorrins related to vitamin B12. Finally, we describe enantioselective syntheses of ring-C and ring-D alkyne acids for a proposed synthesis of cobyric acid. Figure 1

McEwan's script, and Eyre's film adaptation of it, offer a prescient exposé of Britain's culture of mendacity in the 1980s in ways that draw on rule-consequentialist ethics to maintain that lying on the personal, professional, and political level has a pernicious effect on society. McEwan's work on the film also marks a crucial turning point in the author's career, one in which he first begins to explore complex ethical and moral conundrums that would figure prominently in his major fiction.

Abstract:
AbstractIn Prudentius, the bodily resurrection becomes a figure for poetic immortality. Just as the author believes that his God will one day raise him from the dead, he expects and invokes a Christian reader to authenticate and authorise the fragile verbal records of a poetry that is insistently human and fallen. In other words, Prudentius’ metapoetics are perfectly in sync with his theology. After (I) presenting Prudentius’ transformation at the end of his Praefatio and setting out the terms and scope of the argument, this article (II) shows how the author puts himself at the mercy of his readers and patrons in the Peristefanon poems and then (III) considers the body and the resurrection in the Liber Cathemerinon. A short section (IV) on fictionality and belief opens up the argument, and a conclusion (V) advances it through a reading of the end of De opusculis suis. This metapoetic reading of Prudentius reveals that the author's hopes for an afterlife are expressed in and through the creative imagining of poetic and fictional scenes.

At the same time, A. Richinsky appears to us as a tolerant, ecumenical personality, not inclined to religious confession, bias towards "non-believers", free from religious fanaticism and clerical extremism. Full text
Abstract:
AbstractThe Byzantine passion play Christus Patiens (Christ Suffering) is a cento: composed of quotations and borrowings from other sources, it takes Euripides’ tragedies as its main source for reworking the passion narrative. The genre, popular with Christian authors who usually transformed classical epics, enacts cultural exchange between canonical pagan literature and biblical narrative. Traditionally transmitted as the work of Gregory of Nazianzus, this drama showcases the tensions inherent in this reuse of Greek tragedy which threaten to collapse the original texts under the weight of their new meaning – or vice versa. While the afterlives of Classical texts, especially Greek tragedy, have been increasingly well explored, the scant attention afforded Christus Patiens has largely consisted of debating the disputed date and authorship. At the same time, scrutiny lavished on Virgilian centonic technique provides a helpful spring-board. This article focuses on the four tragedies most plundered in Christus Patiens: Rhesus, Medea, Hippolytus and Bacchae. It concentrates on interpreting the protagonist, Mary the Mother of God, through key passages which borrow most heavily from these plays. These stretch centonic conventions by almost exclusively reworking contiguous lines featuring the tragic mothers Medea, Agave and Musa; yet Mary is otherwise created from multiple conflicting voices. Analysis of these passages as frames for the cento author's own compositions and in the context of the prologue's invitation to identify specific Euripidean reworkings suggests that the author playfully flirts with creating a narrative of fragmentation through clashes between centonic form, tragic sources and Christian subject.

This paper investigates the empirical importance of distinguishing visitors and their expenditures by trip purpose when estimating the tourism effects of a national park on a local economy. Accounting for trip purpose is quite important when there are two or more nearby major attractions in the same geographical area. This applies to the author's case study of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks in the State of Wyoming, and also to other areas, such as the State of Utah's Bryce and Zion National Parks or amusement parks in the Orlando area in Florida. The authors illustrate the various types of survey questions and methods for correcting for trip purpose. In the case study, it would be quite misleading to attribute all spending by visitors to Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, solely to GTNP because this would overstate employment actually attributable to the park by 3,455 jobs, or 22%. In turn, this overestimates the dependence of jobs in the Jackson economy on GTNP by 15%, incorrectly estimating it at 75% rather than the sounder figure of 60% of total jobs.

Abstract:
In modern society, obesity in women in developed countries retains its widespread prevalence. Much attention to this problem is caused by the current increase in the number of cases of obesity among middle-aged women who are not able to regularly experience muscular loads in the form of exercises and comply with various dietary restrictions. In this regard, there is a need for cosmetic correction of their figure in the presence of minimal effort on the part of women with signs of obesity. The solution to this problem may be the wearing of corrective clothing, which is able to effectively reduce the volume dimensions of the body through a soft mechanical impact on it in problem areas. In the work carried out, the safety assessment of the long wearing of the author's version of the trousers was carried out taking into account the dynamics of the plasma level of functionally significant hemostasis biregulators for half a year. It was found that women with obesity 1 degree, wearing corrective clothing, there was a persistent preservation of the indicators taken into account within the normal range. The great advantage of using the author's version of corrective clothing for women with obesity was the upcoming visual reduction of their body sizes in the area of application of the product. At the same time, all women under observation maintained a consistently normal plasma level of hemostasis regulators corresponding to the control values. The results obtained allow us to consider the author's corrective clothing as a complete and safe component of the visual correction of the manifestations of developing obesity in women.

Abstract:
Olive Schreiner's The Story of an African Farm (1883) has long been considered an anticolonial novel that nevertheless, because of its author's affiliation with a European colonial culture, neglects to investigate the problem of disenfranchised African labor in significant detail. In this essay I reassess Schreiner's anticolonialism by placing it in the context of her growing postcolonial aspirations. This rather paradoxical position of the colonist becoming a postcolonial manifests itself in the novel's central artist figure, Waldo, who, while descended from European colonists, manages to make himself at home in his South African environment. Employing nineteenth-century ethnological and aesthetic discourses in the construction of this curious figure (which I refer to as the colonial indigene), Schreiner establishes a connection among the novel, colonial art, and an indigenous South African culture. The novel's narrative present is set during a period of intense border struggle, and while indigenous artists like the San known to the colonists as the Bushmen) have disappeared from the novel's narrative present, Schreiner's colonial indigene takes their place. This imaginative displacement thus corresponds with a demographic one, while also manifesting itself in The Story of an African Farm through a fetishistic aesthetic and the uncanny return of a frequently overlooked African laborer.

Abstract:
The proposed article is an analysis of the Russian-language creative heritage of the Karachay-Balkar public figure Misost Abaev, whose publicism introduced the Russian reader to the life of the mountain society during its integration into the Russian Empire, and also contained a historical excursion into the past of the people, told about their life, culture, and worldview. The author focuses on the study of a number of topical topics revealed by the publicist in the Caucasian periodicals, on the solutions he offers to acute social issues. The main topics of M.'s publications Abaev's articles and essays were in tune with the ideas of the North Caucasian progressive figures of the turn of the century, the author's articles and essays covered socio-economic problems and society's requests for the renewal of culture through education. The article presents the results of the analysis of the experiments of M. Abaev's creation of literary texts (stories "Mountain Legend", "At the grave of Islam", obituary-essay), where the publicist revealed another aspect of his work – the bright personality of the narrator. The work of M. Abaev is first considered in the context of popular ideas that spread in the Caucasus in the last quarter of the XIX century, the influence of these ideas on the state of mountain society.

Abstract:
The study investigates the problem of representation of the female image in the autobiographical paradigm of Irena Karpa's novel “Good News from the Aral Sea” because the tendencies of subjectivism describe the writer's work as a manifestation of generational and gender identities. Thus, the modern cultural process is marked by the active presence of writers not only through their texts, but also through various public activities and social networks, which allows the reader to have an idea of the author's private history and accordingly correlate it with artistic narrative. Therewith, the form of the autobiographical narrative is considered as a way for the writer to articulate her experience as gender-marked and is a form of constructing the identity of the character – the author's alter ego. Irena Karpa's book simulates four types of modern heroines, united by common topos of birth and residence, but it is Rita's plot line that is considered as the embodiment of an autobiographical narrative. The figure of this heroine is shown at the junction of two cultures: Ukrainian and European. However, the drama of her life story is provoked by the self-identification of the mistress, who is always in a relationship with two men at the same time, which determines her identity. In the novel, it is love stories that unfold the dynamism of the heroine' s character: she mimics each subsequent man, changing role models from victim to muse. Other life roles: mother, wife, daughter are secondary, and are outside the priority zone. The correlation of the artistic world of the novel with the actual biography of the writer gives grounds to interpret the novel as an autofiction.

Abstract:
- The aim of our article is to outline the "professional figure" of a musician as an interpreter of classical music, and the main problems that this profession can create at a psychophysical level. We would also like to illustrate some ways of intervention through bioenergetics in order to avoid the so called "professional illnesses" and to favour and strengthen a full, rewarding and efficient artistic expression. The author's experience is to demonstrate how body awareness can fully help to transform the relationship between a musician and his music, which is often exclusively aimed at a successful performance, thus provoking an enormous amount of tension and stress. In conclusion, the above mentioned work of conquering body awareness could help to build a way of playing which could harmoniously integrate body, thoughts and emotions.Key words Musician, bioenergetics, counseling, awarenessParole chiave Musicista, bioenergetica, counselling, consapevolezza

Abstract:
Print literature has always existed in an ecosystem of media forms, among which the attention of audiences have been shared. Periodically, however, novelists have expressed concerns for the charms of literature in relation to its competitors. This article explores three interrelated experiments that harness the effects of authorial presence to revive the capacity of literary fiction to detain readers. Henry James's ‘The Death of the Lion’ (1894), Philip Roth's The Ghost Writer (1979) and Joshua Cohen's Book of Numbers (2015) speak to each other by mobilising the trope of the author in ways that probe the fault lines in under-nuanced accounts of the author's coercive role in delimiting the meaning of a literary work. These texts, I offer, reimagine the author not as a disciplining force but as a compelling figure, working in distinctive ways to summon readerly attention.

Abstract:
The majority of translations and commentaries render the phrase κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοήν in 2 Tim 4.3 as ‘having itching ears’ (or something to the same effect). Many commentaries and lexica claim, furthermore, that this figure of speech expresses curiosity. The present study demonstrates that the phrase found in 2 Tim 4.3 is an idiom that occurs quite frequently in first- and second-centuryceliterature. Contemporary usage of this expression suggests, first, that the translation at 2 Tim 4.3 should be ‘having their ears tickled’, rather than ‘having itching ears’, and, second, that the idiom refers primarily to the experience of pleasure rather than curiosity. This translation and interpretation of κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοήν fits the context of 2 Timothy better than other commonly proposed readings and is significant for how we understand the author's portrayal of his opponents and their appeal to the believers.

Abstract:
This literary work analyzes the novel by Habiburrahman El-zhirazy entitled "Clearing the Fade of Cleopatra" that tells a figure who was obsessed with the beauty of Egyptian women. The desire was vanished because the character was mated by her parents. Using a stylistic approach, this study examined how dictions and the existing majesties in the novel fragments were applied. The source of data was a fragment of the novel "Clearing the Fade of Cleopatra", and the data were the lingual units in terms of words, phrases, clauses and sentences that contained thf figurative languages. The study revealed that in selecting the dictions the writer used Arabic, English and Javanese. The selection of diction is certainly not separated from the author's background. The figurative language included hyperbole, metaphor, paradox, allegory and personification. The hyperbolic was used more frequently than other figurative languages.
