Abstract:

Abstract The mineralogical composition, texture and fracture of natural rocks can be complicated due to the inherent heterogeneity of geomechanical properties, making it challenging to understand their behaviour. Due to the intrinsic layer by layer manufacturing process, 3D printing technology enables to create rock-like materials and specimens with known and controllable inhomogeneity. In this study, disc specimens of a rock-like material are fabricated using 3D printing of cement mortar for testing to understand fabric orientation effect on fracture behaviour better. For the first time, a novel technique, named AUSBIT (Adelaide University Snap-back Indirect Tensile test), for Brazilian disc tests is applied for obtaining both strength and snap-back post-peak behaviour of the 3D printed rock-like materials. Adopting Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique, in conjunction with the use of AUSBIT, allows obtaining full-field strains and their evolutions, showing strong effects of fabric orientation on strain distributions and both pre-and post-peak responses.

Abstract:

The biological properties of sixteen structurally related monoanionic gold (III) bis(dithiolene/diselenolene) complexes were evaluated. The complexes differ in the nature of the heteroatom connected to the gold atom (AuS for dithiolene, AuSe for diselenolene), the substituent on the nitrogen atom of the thiazoline ring (Me, Et, Pr, iPr and Bu), the nature of the exocyclic atom or group of atoms (O, S, Se, C(CN)2) and the counter-ion (Ph4P+ or Et4N+). The anticancer and antimicrobial activities of all the complexes were investigated, while the anti-HIV activity was evaluated only for selected complexes. Most complexes showed relevant anticancer activities against Cisplatin-sensitive and Cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer cells A2780 and OVCAR8, respectively. After 48 h of incubation, the IC50 values ranged from 0.1–8 µM (A2780) and 0.8–29 µM (OVCAR8). The complexes with the Ph4P+ ([P]) counter-ion are in general more active than their Et4N+ ([N]) analogues, presenting IC50 values in the same order of magnitude or even lower than Auranofin. Studies in the zebrafish embryo model further showed that, despite their marked anticancer effect, the complexes with [P] counter-ion exhibited low in vivo toxicity. In general, the exocyclic exchange of sulfur by oxygen or ylidenemalononitrile (C(CN)2) enhanced the compounds toxicity. Most complexes containing the [P] counter ion exhibited exceptional antiplasmodial activity against the Plasmodium berghei parasite liver stages, with submicromolar IC50 values ranging from 400–700 nM. In contrast, antibacterial/fungi activities were highest for most complexes with the [N] counter-ion. Auranofin and two selected complexes [P][AuSBu(=S)] and [P][AuSEt(=S)] did not present anti-HIV activity in TZM-bl cells. Mechanistic studies for selected complexes support the idea that thioredoxin reductase, but not DNA, is a possible target for some of these complexes. The complexes [P] [AuSBu(=S)], [P] [AuSEt(=S)], [P] [AuSEt(=Se)] and [P] [AuSeiPr(=S)] displayed a strong quenching of the fluorescence intensity of human serum albumin (HSA), which indicates a strong interaction with this protein. Overall, the results highlight the promising biological activities of these complexes, warranting their further evaluation as future drug candidates with clinical applicability.

Abstract:

The article is devoted to the analysis of lexical changes in the German language vocabulary, caused by loanwords. The research material is based on the last decade neologisms, which have come into the German language under the influence of foreign languages. They have been selected from the online dictionary of neologisms on the IDS OWID Internet portal using the continuous sampling method and classified according to the type of formation and morphological characteristics. It has been defined that more than half of loanwords are loanwords taken directly from foreign languages; others are reproduced by the German language according to foreign language models or are formed according to German structures using borrowed elements of word-formation. Semantic changes in lexical units under the influence of foreign languages are less frequent. According to the forms of loanwords, the following types are singled out: new loanwords, new linguistic calques, new linguistic half-calques, new meanings (first of all, borrowed ones) and derivational constructions based on borrowed derivational elements. Most loanwords come from the English language or are based on English examples. The lexical units borrowed from the English language are integrated into the German system of language and may be morphologically segmented relatively easily, which allows including them into the German system of word-formation. Linguistic calques, linguistic half-calques and derivational constructions based on borrowed derivational elements are considered to be the areas of the processes of borrowing and word-formation overlapping in the process on vocabulary enrichment. The borrowed lexical units are widely used in the German word-formation in the context of composition, less frequently – in derivation and contamination. Vocabulary enrichment occurs in different spheres of social life and is closely connected with changes in these spheres.

Abstract:

У статті представлено історичний огляд психокорекції аутизму. Розглянуто історію вивчення аутизму загалом та пошук шляхів лікування розладу. Зазначено, що у своєму розвитку питання лікування аутизму пройшло від ігнорування, початку вивчення розладу та катувань до толерантного ставлення, розробки різноманітних психокрекційних технологій та створення спеціалізованих реабілітаційних закладів. У статті описано етапи становлення науки про аутизм (донозологічний, доканнерівський, каннерівський та післяканнерівський) з точки зору динаміки психокорекційних підходів. Зазначено, що не зважаючи на більш ніж 100-річну історію дослідження, лікування аутизму має багато перспектив для подальшіх досліджень. Робляться висновки про те, що виділяється 4 головні етапи, які відображають процес становлення науки про аутизм. Першим є донозологічний період, для якого характерно окремі згадки про дітей, які прагнули до усамітнення й дивно поводили себе. На цьому етапі психокорекції аутизму фактично не існує. У давні часи дітей із вадами ігнорували чи страчували, у Середньовіччя катували, намагаючись позбавити «одержимості дияволом», епоха Відродження та Новий час покладали усю відповідальність виключно на батьків та давали можливість їм будь-яким чином виховувати норовливий характер дитини. Другий, так званий доканнеровський період, що припадає на 20-ті – 40-ві роки ХХ століття, знаменується формуванням поняття «дитячий аутизм». Значна увага до вивчення феномену аутизму, як і до інших психічних розладів, збільшує актуальність питання лікування цих розладів. Вивчаючи симптоми, лікарі відчували себе безсилими. Третій період являє собою початок системного підходу до вивчення проявів аутизму у дітей, його ознаменовано виходом у світ кардинальних праць з аутизму Л.Каннера, Г.Асперґера, а пізніше – і досить великої кількості праць інших фахівців. Лео Каннер став першим лікарем у світі, визнаним як дитячий психіатр, засновник першого академічного дитячого напряму в психіатрії. Нарешті, четвертий: післяканнерівський період (1980-ті – 1990-ті роки) характеризується відходом від позицій самого Л.Каннера у поглядах на аутизм, що його розглядали як неспецифічний синдром різного походження. При цьому слід відзначити дві провідні тенденції: 1) розгляд усіх аутичних синдромів дитинства в межах синдрому й концепції Л.Каннера про ранній інфантильний аутизм (що характерно для більшої частини наукової літератури) і 2) виокремлення різних клінічних форм дитячого аутизму, об’єднаних положенням про аутизм як один із синдромів дитячої психопатології. На цьому етапі розробляються різноманітні психокорекційні методи та технології лікування аутизму. Ключові слова: аутизм, розлади аутичного спекту, етапи дослідження аутизму, психокорекція аутизму, історія лікування аутизму.

Abstract:

Amaç: Bu araştırmada Türkiye’ de çocuğu tanıma ve değerlendirme sürecinde kullanılan standart testlerin, aracın türü, ölçtüğü gelişim alanı, ölçtüğü yaş, değerlendirme türü, testin geliştirildiği yer, uygulama süresi, puanlama, madde sayısı, uygulayıcı eğitimi, uygulama şekli, geçerlik-güvenirlik bilgileri şeklinde temalara ayrılarak incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Yöntem: Bu araştırma tarama modelinde olup araştırmada betimsel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama yöntemi olarak epistemolojik doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda 35 standart test incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya dahil edilen testler için “Test Değerlendirme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında incelenen standart testler gelişim testleri, bireysel zeka testleri, grup zeka testleri, kişilik testleri, başarı testleri ve projektif testler şeklinde gruplandırılmıştır. Bulgular: Bu kapsamda araştırmaya dahil edilen standart testlerin (n=19) unun zeka alanını ölçtüğü, (n=21) inin ilk çocukluk döneminde kullanıldığı, Türkiye’de geliştirilen test sayısının yeterli olmadığı (n=6) ve Türkiye’de sık kullanılan standart testlerin geçerlik-güvenirlik düzeyinin yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Sonuç: çocukları tanıma ve değerlendirme için Türkiye’de geliştirilecek farklı alanlara özgü standart testlere ihtiyaç olduğu söylenebilir.

Abstract:

Amaç: Bu araştırma, öğrencilere verilen kişisel hijyen eğitiminin benlik saygısı ve öz bakım gücü üzerine etkisini çocuk hakları boyutuyla değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma, eğitim öncesi ve sonrası ön test-son test şeklinde deneysel/ müdahaleli bir çalışmadır. Araştırmaya katılan 140 öğrencinin verileri, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı(RBSÖ) ve Öz Bakım Gücü Ölçeğiyle(ÖBGÖ) toplanmıştır. Ölçeklerin uygulanmasından sonra grup eğitimi yapılarak 21 gün sonra ölçekler tekrarlanmıştır. Veriler Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Wilcoxon testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, Kruskal Wallis varyans ve Spearman kolerasyon analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Öz-Bakım Gücü Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında eğitim sonrasında eğitim öncesine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur (p= 0,001). Verilere göre Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Öz-Bakım Gücü Ölçeği puan ortalaması arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki saptanamamıştır (p=0,061; r= -0,420). Sonuç: Verilen eğitim, katılımcıların benlik saygısı ve öz bakım gücünü olumlu etkilemiştir. Bu bağlamda hijyen, çocuk hakları ve sağlık hakkına yönelik eğitimlerin düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir.

Abstract:

Amaç: Yenidoğan ünitelerinde çalışan hemşirelerin yenidoğan cilt bakımına ilişkin bilgi düzeylerini incelemektir. Örneklem ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı bir çalışma olan araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul’da bulunan bir devlet ve bir vakıf üniversitesi hastanesinin yenidoğan ünitelerinde çalışan ve araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü 162 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında “Tanıtıcı Bilgiler Formu” ile “Yenidoğan Ünitelerinde Çalışan Hemşirelerin Yenidoğan Cilt Bakımına Yönelik Bilgi Düzeylerinin Belirlenmesi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin %92’sinin kadın, %60.5’inin lisans mezunu olduğu, %74.1’inin devlet hastanesinde çalıştığı ve %32.7’sinin yenidoğan yoğun bakım hemşireliği sertifikasının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin; yenidoğan cilt bakımına yönelik puan ortalamaları 80.93 ± 12.96’dır. Hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması, eğitim düzeyi, çalıştığı kurum, meslekteki çalışma yılı, yenidoğan yoğun bakımlardaki çalışma süreleri ve yenidoğan sertifika programlarına katılma durumları ile bakıma ilişkin bilgi düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki (p<0.05) saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin yenidoğan cilt bakımına ilişkin bilgi düzeylerinin ortalamanın üstünde olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar ışığında, yenidoğan cilt bakım uygulamalarının tüm sağlık kurumlarında standart hale getirilmesi, deneyimli ve uzman hemşirelerin bu alanda çalıştırılması, hemşirelerin yoğun bakım sertifika programlarına katılımının sağlanması gerekmektedir.

Abstract:

İnsanlar hayatlarında belirdikleri amaçlarına ulaşmak için devamlı olarak seçim işlevi ile karşılaşırlar. Bu seçim işlevi bir karar verme durumudur. Karar verme, insan davranışının sonucunda ortaya çıkan ve tekrarlayan bir bilişsel süreçtir. Belirli kriterlere göre, bir dizi süreçten sonra bir karar verilir. Sinir bilim yöntemleri, karar verme süreçleri sırasında beynimizde meydana gelen olaylar hakkında bilgi edinmemizi sağlar. Beynimizin belirli bölgeleri ve bu bölgeler arasındaki bağlantılar, karar verme sürecinde görev almaktadır. Bu süreçler esnasında beynin birçok bölgesi (anterior cingulate korteks, medial prefrontal korteks, orbitofrontal korteks, dorsolateral prefrontal korteks, nucleus accumbens ve substantia nigra vb.) birbiriyle iletişim halindedir. Karar verme sürecinde beyindeki bu yapıların nöronal ağ bağlantılarının sağlanmasında nörotransmitterler de görev alır. Serotonin, frontal korteksin ventromedial ve orbital alanlarıyla ilişkili karar verme işlevlerini düzenlemede aracı bir görev yapmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı, çeşitli durumlardaki karar verme sürecinde ilgili beyin yapılarının görevleri ve bu süreçte rol oynayan nörotransmitterler hakkında bilgi vermektir.

Abstract:

Aim: The COVID-19 virus, which emerged in Wuhan, China, spread all over the world and turned into a major epidemic. As in all countries, many precautions have been taken by health authorities in Turkey to reduce the spread of the epidemic. This study aims to evaluate the taken precautions from the perspective of health personnel. Subjects and Method: The population of the descriptive study was composed of public health personnel working in Konya. The sample size was calculated as 387 by random sampling method with known universe. The highest number of participants that can be reached via online questionnaire without quota distinction was targeted. The form used to collect the data was prepared by the authors with the literature review after the expert opinions were taken. The statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 22.0. Result: In the study, which was provided by the participation of 1070 public health personnel, the data were collected by online survey method. 37.2% of the participants in the study are nurses, 34.1% are physicians, 14.1% are midwives and 14.6% are members of other health professions. The health personnel think that the use of masks control the infection at 96.8% rate, hand hygiene at 96.5%, social distance rules at 97.7%, curfews at 95.8% and the use of gloves at 67.9%, and these precautions reduce the course of the epidemic. Conclusion: The majority of the healthcare personnel find the precautions sufficient. The deactivation of precautions without adequate epidemic control is very important in terms of effective epidemic management and reducing the burden on healthcare personnel.

L'errance constitue la figure, la thematique et le moteur de ces textes hantes par la culpabilite morale, la folie et l'exclusion. La poesie d'austin clarke est l'oeuvre de la quete du moi a travers l'ecriture; elle apparait dictee par la recherche experimentale d'une forme qui permette d'exposer et de resoudre les conflits spirituels et psychologiques du poete. La perspective de la quete transmute l'errance apparente en itinerance, chacune des phases poetiques successives, (epique, medievale, confessionnelle, introspective, satirique, erotique) representant une etape dans la quete de l'identite, de la sante mentale et de la resolution du conflit entre la foi et la raison, dans et par l'ecriture. Poeme de l'initiation et de la catharsis, mnemosyne lay in dust est la cle de voute de cette quete personnelle et poetique : s'ils demeurent secretement hantes par le doute et par l'angoisse, les textes ulterieurs temoignent en effet d'une exemplaire emancipation personnelle et poetique. Scrutant sa propre conscience, austin clarke se fait le heraut de la conscience irlandaise, s'efforcant, par l'entremise de la tradition, de rendre compte de son experience singuliere du mal irlandais et de remedier a l'alienation et a la discontinuite.

Abstract:

The thesis presents a development of J. L. Austin's analysis of truth and its accompanying analysis of sentence structure. This involves a discussion and refinement of Austin's notions of the demonstrative and descriptive conventions of language and of the demonstrative and descriptive devices of sentences. The main point of the thesis is that ordinary language must be treated as an historical phenomenon: one that has evolved its more complex features through a long series of variations upon a small number of rudimentary conventions and locutions. The utility of Austin's analysis is shown to lie in the description that it provides of the functions of these rudimentary conventions and locutions. The analysis is used to illuminate a number of problematic sentences and expressions of ordinary language, including identity sentences, definite descriptions, existential sentences, and conditionals.

La pratique de l'empirisme s'appuie sur des propensions réalistes sans les questionner, et tout particulièrement la propension réaliste contenue dans des attitudes comme la connaissance ou la perception. En effet, tout empirisme propose une forme de connaissance et se base sur la perception. Mais, dés lors que la connaissance et la perception sont prises comme objet de l'analyse, et envisagées comme porteuses d'une propension réaliste intéressante pour qui veut questionner l'adéquation du schème conceptuel à la réalité, alors le problème de la connaissance et celui de la perception ne peuvent plus être envisagés dans le cadre d'une simple enquête empirique. Ils doivent être envisagés dans le cadre d'une enquête qui veit rendre compte de la propension réaliste elle-même.

Abstract:

This is a concurrent, mixed methods study of the impacts of Austin, Texas’s cultural plan, CreateAustin. In the study, trend analysis and a t-test were used to examine variables before and after the cultural plan was in place. At the same time, interviews with cultural planners were used to uncover other effects. My research addresses a gap in the literature between understanding the desired and actual outcomes of a cultural plan. Cultural plans are being developed by many communities in an effort to attract creative workers but they are rarely evaluated. Evaluation using a mixed methods approach is necessary to capture all the outcomes of a cultural plan, rather than the limited scope of impacts that are captured by qualitative or quantitative analyses alone. My analysis of the quantitative variables showed some significant differences between when the plan was in place and the years prior to its creation. Interviews with key stakeholders revealed the formation of new networks as a powerful outcome of the planning process. The results allowed me to gauge the overall impact of CreateAustin and make some observations about the cultural planning process in general, as well as uncover new directions for future research.
