Abstract:
To solve the problem of attitude determination using magnetometers independently and uniquely, which is important for underwater vehicles, a type of full attitude determination method based on geomagnetic gradient tensor is proposed in this paper. In this method, a group of non-linear equations concerning geomagnetic gradient tensors is established, where a quaternion is selected to calculate three attitude angles of an underwater vehicle. The optimal quaternion is estimated using Newton Down-hill to optimise the object function. The detailed steps of the full attitude determination based on geomagnetic gradient tensor are given, and the effects of the initial angle error and the sensor noise on the attitude determination are investigated. Simulations show that the algorithm can identify precisely and quickly the attitudes even in the presence of larger initial angle error and sensor noise, which proves the attitude determination algorithm.

Abstract:
Environmental attitudes are supportive for learning about the environment and for pro-environmental engagement. The question, then, is how to strengthen and establish environmental attitudes. Based on a sample of 429 middle and high school students, we investigated the effect of self-determination-based motivation on environmental attitude. While high levels of self-determination (i.e., intrinsic motivation) positively affected pro-environmental attitude (β = 0.40), low levels of self-determination (i.e., external regulation) negatively affected attitude (β = –0.31). Our data further pointed to a distinct trajectory of self-determination and inclusion of nature throughout adolescence (high scores for 12-year-olds that decline to a minimum around 15–16-years old); a trend that has already been shown for environmental attitude. Such a dip might help derive teaching recommendations in environmental education, e.g., by supporting high scores in time to attenuate a decline. Further teaching recommendations include strengthening students’ self-determination through their basic needs (autonomy, competence, and relatedness).

Abstract:
This study attempted to examine the relationship between affection, rejection, and protection of parental parenting attitudes on infant self-determination through infant resilience. To this end, a survey was conducted on 315 parents of 4-5-year-old infants enrolled in kindergartens and daycare centers at institutions in Gyeonggi-do, and 304 copies of the 315 copies were analyzed, excluding unfaithful data. Source: SPSS 22 was used for data processing. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was discovered that parental parenting attitudes' affection had a static impact on infant resilience, and parental parenting attitudes' rejection and overprotection had a negative impact. Second, infant resilience had a positive effect on infant self-determination. Third, the affection of parental parenting attitudes had a positive effect on infant self-determination, and the rejection and overprotection of parental parenting attitudes had a negative effect on infant self-determination. Fourth, as a result of examining the mediating effect of infant resilience in the relationship between parental attitude and infant self-determination, infant resilience partially mediated in the relationship between infant self-determination and overprotection of parental attitude. This means that infant resilience acts as a factor that can increase infant self-determination in the effect of parental parenting attitude on infant self-determination.

Abstract:
In 1991 Trimble Navigation introduced a Global Positioning System (Gps)-based attitude determination receiver capable of 3-axis solutions with accuracy to several milliradians for airborne, sea and land platforms. This paper discusses the physical, architectural, and operational features of this receiver system. Analysis of system performance will also be reviewed for various configurations and user applications. The Trimble Navigation attitude determination receiver uses differential carrier phase techniques to determine azimuth, pitch and roll angles of a 3-antenna array. This product is designed to operate in a variety of user applications and to withstand rugged operating environments. Trimble Navigation has expanded its proven GPS sensor architecture to incorporate three independent RF sections and additional processing channels to measure and process the differential phase between antennas on two orthogonal baselines. Direct measurement of differential phase utilizing a common local oscillator provides highly accurate relative phase data. The navigation and attitude processor computes azimuth, pitch, and roll angles as well as position, velocity and time. The solution accuracy and stability statistics are sensitive to various parameters. Antenna baseline length, signal multipath, platform dynamics and filtering are investigated. Test data from static and various dynamic platforms are also presented.

Abstract:
Attitude determination is a significant aspect of the navigation technology. The determination of the attitudes based on accelerometer and magnetometer fusion is basically an applied mathematical problem. In this article, we obtained the proposed quaternionic symbolic solution for accelerometer and magnetometer fusion which is quite different from existing methods. The proposed symbolic solution has the advantages of high accuracy and consumes much less time. Besides, the normalization problem of input data was discussed. Biquaternions ware introduced to describe the existence of the complex quaternion. Several experiments were carried out to verify the proposed symbolic solution.

Abstract:
Objectives In this study, it was checked whether parental empathy affects elementary school students' self-determination learning motivation through parenting attitude as a medium. And in this influence, the moderating effect of elementary school students' basic psychological needs was analyzed. Methods A survey was conducted with 600 students and their parents in grades 3 to 6 of elementary school. As suggested by Muller, Judd, and Yzerbyt (2005), the mediating effect, the moderating effect, and the regulated mediating effect were sequentially analyzed. Results Parents' cognitive empathy was found to be mediated by parenting attitudes and affect children's self- determination learning motivation, and this mediating effect was found to be controlled by relationship among sub-factors of children's basic psychological needs. Conclusions Negative parenting attitude partially mediated the effect of cognitive empathy on self-determination learning motivation. This means that parental empathy not only directly positively affects self-determination learning motivation, but also indirectly negatively affects it through negative parenting attitudes. In addition, relation among children's basic psychological needs means that the negative effects of negative parenting attitudes on self-determination learning motivation through indirect paths can be mitigated.

Abstract:
The topographic mapping products at 1:50,000 scale can be realized using satellite photogrammetry without ground control points (GCPs), which requires the high accuracy of exterior orientation elements. Usually, the attitudes of exterior orientation elements are obtained from the attitude determination system on the satellite. Based on the theoretical analysis and practice, the attitude determination system exists not only the high-frequency errors, but also the low-frequency errors related to the latitude of satellite orbit and the time. The low-frequency errors would affect the location accuracy without GCPs, especially to the horizontal accuracy. In SPOT5 satellite, the latitudinal model was proposed to correct attitudes using approximately 20 calibration sites data, and the location accuracy was improved. The low-frequency errors are also found in Tian Hui 1 (TH-1) satellite. Then, the method of compensation low-frequency errors is proposed in ground image processing of TH-1, which can detect and compensate the low-frequency errors automatically without using GCPs. This paper deal with the low-frequency errors in TH-1: First, the analysis about low-frequency errors of the attitude determination system is performed. Second, the compensation models are proposed in bundle adjustment. Finally, the verification is tested using data of TH-1. The testing results show: the low-frequency errors of attitude determination system can be compensated during bundle adjustment, which can improve the location accuracy without GCPs and has played an important role in the consistency of global location accuracy.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between the attitudes of parents toward children’s rights and educational levels of their parents. The researcher’s universe consists of parents who live in Istanbul and has children between the ages of 6 and 14, and sampling consists of a total of 3100 parents (1550 mothers and 1550 fathers). The data of the study were collected with a Likert type Parent-Child Rights Attitude Scale consisting of 63 items. The scale evaluates the attitudes of the parents toward their children’s rights as two main attitudes, ‘Care and Protection’ and ‘Self-Determination’. In ‘Care and Protection’ attitude, there are two sub-dimensional structures as ‘Government Assurance and Support’ and ‘Care and Protection’. The ‘Self-Determination’ attitude has a single sub-dimensional structure. In the analysis of data, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program was used beside necessary statistical techniques. The data obtained regarding the effect of parents' education levels on their attitudes toward children’s rights are presented in a tabular form with respective frequencies. An attitude determination system has been designed for the geocentric pointing triaxial stabilized satellites which employ a continuously running inertial rate sensor in conjunction with sun sensor and earth sensor. Earth/sun sensor data are processed to generate corrections to satellite attitude, gyro constant drift and earth sensor drift bias estimates. An extended Kalman filter based on the attitude determination system is derived in this paper for the satellite using two earth sensors, a two-axis digit sun sensor as attitude sensors and a three-axis gyro for the angular velocity. A simulation model is developed to estimate the attitude determination performance. Simulation results show that precision attitude determination is achieved using the selected attitude hardware and algorithms.

Abstract:
The principle of the traditional attitude solution approach based on GPS (Global Position System) is to get the attitude matrix according to the relationship of coordinates. During the progress, the error of baseline position assumed in ECEF (Earth-Centered Earth-Fixed) and the error of coordinate transform between body frame and reference frame (ENU, East-North-Up) have been included in the result, and finally the precision of attitude determination is reduced. This contribution presents a new approach of attitude determination, in which the attitude angles are calculated by the double-difference carrier phase equation of GPS according to the relationship of attitude matrix and attitude angles through least-squares estimate method. The new approach predigests the procedure of attitude determination which reduces the error assumed. According to the analysis the precision of attitude determination is higher than that of traditional method. It is shown it gets a precise attitude result with the direct attitude determination method in the simulation. A novel algorithm is proposed to solve some problems. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:
In this paper, the attitude determination problem from two vector observations is revisited, incorporating the redundant equality constraint obtained by the dot product of vector observations. Analytical solutions to this constrained attitude determination problem are derived. It is found out that the studied two-vector attitude determination problem by Davenport q-method under the dot product constraint has deterministic maximum eigenvalue, which leads to its advantage in error/perturbation analysis and covariance determination. The proposed dot product constrained two-vector attitude solution is applied then to solve several engineering problems. Detailed simulations on spacecrafts attitude determination indicate the efficiency of the proposed theory.

Abstract:
GNSS-only attitude determination is difficult to perform well in poor-satellite-tracking environments such as urban areas with high and dense buildings or trees. In addition, it is harder to resolve integer ambiguity in the case of single-frequency single-epoch process mode. In this contribution, a low-cost MEMS gyroscope is integrated with multi-antenna GNSS to improve the performance of the attitude determination. A new tightly coupled (TC) model is proposed, which uses a single filter to achieve the optimal estimation of attitude drift, gyro biases and ambiguities. In addition, a MEMS-Attitude-aided Quality-Control method (MAQC) for GNSS observations is designed to eliminate both the carrier multipath errors and half-cycle slips disturbing ambiguity resolution. Vehicle experiments show that in GNSS-friendly scenarios, the Ambiguity Resolution (AR) success rate of the proposed model with MAQC can reach 100%, and the accuracy of attitudes are (0.12, 0.2, 0.2) degrees for heading, pitch and roll angles, respectively. Even in harsh scenarios, the AR success rate increases from about 67% for the GNSS only case to above 90% after coupling GNSS tightly with MEMS, and it is further improved to about 98% with MAQC. Meanwhile, the accuracy and continuity of attitude determination are effectively guaranteed.

Abstract:
Attitudes toward statistics have received a great attention by academic and researcher in statistics and mathematics education. This paper investigates students’ attitudes towards statistics in one of the Malaysia higher education institution and determined the factors that explain the attitude of students toward statistics. Stratified sampling method was used to select 274 respondents from 18 classes Elementary Statistics course. The attitudes toward statistics were measured using the Survey Attitude Towards Statistics (SAT-36) scale. Factor analysis was applied to identify the factors on students’ attitude toward statistics. Findings from factor analysis revealed that seven factors that explain the attitude of the students were self-determination, cognitive competence, effort, value of statistics in professional life, difficulty, statistical solving and value of statistics in everyday life. The results suggested that statistics should be demonstrated in more practical way for developing more positive attitude towards statistics. This could further promote the learning process and students’ ability to apply the statistical concepts.

Abstract:
The power and value of technology in the information age has been effective in the spread of technology and its use at younger ages. Adolescents are in the risk group in terms of the negative consequences of technology. Today, bullying that has moved to the virtual environment has brought cyber victimization. In order to examine the relationship between the parental internet attitudes of secondary school students and their cyber victimization, 684 secondary school students studying in the city center of Konya (Türkiye) participated in the research in the 2020-2021 academic year. “Cyber Victimization” and “Parental Internet Attitude” questionnaires and “Demographic Information Form” were used to collect the data. It was seen that the most perceived parental internet attitude was the authoritative one and the perceived parental internet attitude of the students who experienced the most victimization was the laissez-faire attitude. According to the participating middle school students, parental internet attitudes differ respecting gender, grade level, education level of parents and school type. It was observed that there was no difference as regards the grade point average. It was also determined that students' cyber victimization is at a low level, and cyber victimization differs according to class level and education level of mother and father. It was found out that there was no difference according to gender, grade point average and school type. In addition, it was observed that parental internet attitude has different effects on the level of cyber victimization.

Abstract:
Purpose Little is known about how self-determination and financial attitude are linked to retirees’ financial well-being in Nigerian context. Drawing from the theory of reasoned action, the purpose of this paper is to examine the connection of self-determination, financial attitude and financial well-being. Also, this paper examines the mediating role of financial attitude between self-determination and financial well-being. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional study was used in collecting quantitative data from 399 retirees drawn from North Central Nigeria. Hypotheses are tested through structural equation modelling using the Analysis of Moments of Structures (AMOS) software, version 23. Findings Results from the research indicate that financial attitude serves as a trajectory through which self-determination leads to financial well-being. Therefore, self-determination and financial attitude significantly contribute to the financial well-being of retirees. Research limitations/implications The use of a cross-sectional design may undermine the causal conclusions of the findings. This study adds to existing research on financial well-being by showing that financial attitude is significant in attaining financial well-being and how self-determination variable impact financial well-being. Originality/value This study contributes to literature by establishing the mediating role of financial attitude in the relationship between self-determination and financial well-being. Thus, instead of concentrating on only the direct effects of self-determination and financial well-being, the indirect effect of financial attitude is tested.

Abstract:
Based on the situation that the traditional SINS (strapdown inertial navigation system)/CNS (celestial navigation system) integrated navigation system fails to realize all-day and all-weather navigation, this paper proposes a SINS/Landmark integrated navigation method based on landmark attitude determination to solve this problem. This integrated navigation system takes SINS as the basic scheme and uses landmark navigation to correct the error of SINS. The way of the attitude determination is to use the landmark information photographed by the landmark camera to complete feature matching. The principle of the landmark navigation and the process of attitude determination are discussed, and the feasibility of landmark attitude determination is analyzed, including the orthogonality of the attitude transform matrix, as well as the influences of the factors such as quantity and geometric position of landmarks. On this basis, the paper constructs the equations of the SINS/Landmark integrated navigation system, testifies the effectiveness of landmark attitude determination on the integrated navigation by Kalman filter, and improves the navigation precision of the system.

Abstract:
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) attitude determination and positioning play an important role in many navigation applications. However, the two GNSS-based problems are usually treated separately. This ignores the constraint information of the GNSS antenna array and the accuracy is limited. To improve the performance of navigation, an integrated attitude and position determination method based on an affine constraint model is presented. In the first part, the GNSS array model and affine constrained attitude determination method are compared with the unconstrained methods. Then the integrated attitude and position determination method is presented. The performance of the proposed method is tested with a series of static data and dynamic experimental GNSS data. The results show that the proposed method can improve the success rate of ambiguity resolution to further improve the accuracy of attitude determination and relative positioning compared to the unconstrained methods.

Abstract:
The global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based attitude determination system has attracted more and more attention with the advantages of having simplified algorithms, a low price and errors that do not accumulate over time. However, GNSS signals may have poor quality or lose lock in some epochs with the influence of signal fading and the multipath effect. When the direct attitude determination method is applied, the primary baseline may not be available (ambiguity is not fixed), leading to the inability of attitude determination. With the gradual popularization of low-cost receivers, making full use of spatial redundancy information of multiple antennas brings new ideas to the GNSS-based attitude determination method. In this paper, an attitude angle conversion algorithm, selecting an arbitrary baseline as the primary baseline, is derived. A multi-antenna attitude determination method based on primary baseline switching is proposed, which is performed on a self-designed embedded software and hardware platform. The proposed method can increase the valid epoch proportion and attitude information. In the land vehicle test, reference results output from a high-accuracy integrated navigation system were used to evaluate the accuracy and reliability. The results indicate that the proposed method is correct and feasible. The valid epoch proportion is increased by 16.2%, which can effectively improve the availability of attitude determination. The RMS of the heading, pitch and roll angles are 0.52°, 1.25° and 1.16°.

Abstract:
In high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicles, a celestial attitude determination system is used to enhance the inertial navigation system (INS)/global positioning system (GPS) to achieve the required attitude performance. The traditional federal filter is not applicable for INS/GPS/celestial attitude determination system information fusion because it does not consider the mutually coupled relationship between the horizontal reference error in the celestial attitude determination system and the navigation error; this limitation results in reduced navigation accuracy. This article proposes a novel stepwise fusion algorithm with dual correction for multi-sensor navigation. Considering the horizontal reference error, the celestial attitude determination system measurement model is constructed and the issues involved in applying the federal filter are discussed. Then, preliminary error estimation and horizontal reference compensation are added to the navigation architecture. In addition, a sequential update strategy is derived to estimate the attitude error with the compensated celestial attitude determination system based on the preliminary estimation. A stepwise correction filtering algorithm with interactive preliminary and sequential updates that can effectively fuse celestial attitude determination system measurements with the INS/GPS is constructed. High-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle navigation in a remote sensing task is simulated to verify the performance of the proposed method. The simulation results demonstrate that the horizontal reference error is effectively compensated, and the attitude accuracy is significantly improved after stepwise error estimation and correction. The proposed method also provides a novel multi-sensor integrated navigation architecture with mutually coupled errors; this architecture is beneficial in unmanned aerial vehicle navigation applications.
