Abstract:

Abstract:
Surabaya, is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia. Since 1612, Surabaya has been a very busy trading center. Kalimas River, which is the river that flowing in the middle of the city of Surabaya, necessarily be a "River of Gold". It is used by traders, as a transport route for carrying goods from central Java to Surabaya. And from Surabaya, these goods are distributed throughout the world. The river management of Kalimas River is very complex. On the other hand, the development of tourism in Surabaya is very encouraging. Then, it is needed to propose a new tourism destination base on the potential of Kalimas River. Because there is no type of water attractions in Surabaya yet, so we need a study that focused on understanding the river lane as an alternative of water attraction in Surabaya. This research will be done in the realm of qualitative research. Based on the research objectives, the type of research that will be applied research so that the results can be much easier to implement. As the summary, it concluded that there are 4 steps to develop the Kalimas River lane as an aternative for water tourism destination in Surabaya, which are improving the quality of its existing condition, developing its potential to serve the purpose of water tourism, achieving the needs and expectations of the citizens of Surabaya on the river lane as an alternative water tourism destination, and finding new icon for Surabaya water tourism.

Abstract:
Abstract Abstract 4003 Introduction: Azacytidine (AZA) has significantly improved the management and survival of patients (pts) treated for high risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). However, 40 to 50% of patients will not achieve any kind of response and most responders relapse within 2 years (Fenaux Lancet Oncology 2009). Aternative strategies are so required for this population with primary or secondary failure of AZA. Vorinostat is a second generation histone deacetylase inhibitor with significant clinical activity in MDS and leukemia, although the response rate remains low (Garcia-Manero Blood 2008). Synergy of vorinostat with both conventional cytotoxic agents and targeted therapy has been demonstrated in vitro and in vivo (Esteller NEJM 2008). Methods: In this still ongoing study (clinicaltrials.gov NCT00776503), we combined low-dose cytarabine (10-20 mg/m2/day for 14 days sub-cutaneously) and escalating total doses of vorinostat. Two schedules of vorinostat, (400mg/day orally) beginning on day 1 (arm A) or on day 14 (arm B), were tested in 3 groups receiving escalating treatment duration (7days, 10 days and 14 days) following a classical 3+3 phase I schedule. 10 additional pts will be included at the recommended dose level of each cohort (arm A and B). Inclusion criteria were age >18, MDS or AML <30% blast according to WHO, IPSS≥1.5, prior failure of demethylating agent therapy. Toxicity was assessed using CTCAE V3. Results: To date, a total of 34 pts were included and 31 were treated, 21 pts in arm A and 10 pts in arm B. 2 pts died before the beginning of treatment and 1 pt did not fulfill inclusion criteria (no previous AZA). The median age was 71 years (range 46y to 88y), the median number of previous treatments was 2 (1-3) and the median number of cycles of AZA was 10 (range 3–25). All pts had Int-2 (n=15) or High risk MDS (n=16) according to IPSS. A total of 108 cycles of treatment were administered with a median number of 3 cycles/pt and 9 pts had more than 3 cycles. The recommended dose was determined for arm A at 10 days of vorinostat and for arm B at 14 days. The dose limiting toxicities were grade 3 fatigue (n=2), grade 4 bilirubin (n=1) and grade 4 infection (n=2). The most frequent non-limiting toxicities were myelosuppression and GI toxicities. Response was centrally evaluated according to IWG 2006 criteria. The overall response rate was 17% in 29 evaluable pts (2 CRi, 1 HI and 2 marrow CR) with a median duration of response of 3 months (range [2-6+]). There were 2 responders in arm A (1 in 7 days dose level and 1 in 14 days dose level) and 3 responders in arm B (1 in the 7 days dose level and 2 in the 10 days dose level) including the 2 CRi. 14pts remained stable and 10 progressed during treatment. With a median follow up of 9 months, the median overall survival of the cohort is 7.3 months. Conclusions: The phase I results presented here show that 400 mg/day vorinostat can be combined to LDAC and given for 10 days (arm A) to 14 days (armB) with acceptable side effects. It also suggests that the sequential administration might be associated with an increased therapeutic index since longer vorinostat therapy duration could be tolerated with higher response rate (3/10 vs 2/21). Interestingly, responses were observed in pts with poor risk cytogenetics who generally fail LDAC alone (t(3;3), complexe Karyotype). Accrual of additional pts at the recommended dose in each arm is ongoing. Data will be updated accordingly. Disclosures: No relevant conflicts of interest to declare.

Despite the growing demand for alternative poultry note that there are few studies assessing the nutritional requirements of these birds. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine the nutrient levels of available phosphorus (aP), calcium (Ca) and sodium chloride (SC) for male and female birds of strains of slow growing. Three assays were conducted, in the starter (one to 28 days), growth (28 to 56 days) and finisher (56 to 84 days) phases. In each assay, 480 birds with age corresponding to the phase were housed in 24 pens constituted by shelter and pasture area pickets. The experimental design was randomized in factorial arrangement 4x2 (macro minerals levels and sexes), with eight treatments and three replications of 20 birds each. In the starter phase is the recommended levels of 0.394 and 0.489% of aP for males and females, respectively, and 1.16% of Ca and 0.528% of NaCl levels for birds of both sexes. For the growth phase the recommended level is 0.351% of aP for both sexes and the levels of Ca are 0.779% for males and 0.881% for females and of NaCl are 0.396% and 0.430% for males and females, respectively. Abstract:
Six dairy farms were observed with emphasis placed. On the small dairy herd everage unit of productivity of the State of Minas Gerais, actually yielding not more than 4,5 to 5 liters/cow/day. Such a small dayly milk production is intimately related to a series of udder infectious diseases widely scattered among the dairy herds which were collectively diagnosed as mastitis. Three groups of dairy farms were examined bymeans of two different observation phases. The greater proportion of the diagnosed mastitis cases were considered under the sub-clinical status, consequently they were inapparent to clinical observations. The work included the confirmatory isolations of the various pathogenic etiological agentes from positive CMT (California Mastitis Test) sample and it was concluded that the Staphylococcus aureus accounted for the greatest one (65%). It was also observed that the introduction of simple hygienic sanitary procedures that still are not yet adopted by the farmers, is capable of minimizing the high incidence of infections and consequently would improve dayly milk productivity and the quality of the milk produced.

Abstract:
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) have gradually established themselves as rapid and effective means, specially in commercial matters, for the resolution of both national and international disputes, outside of recours to state justice, to respond to the expressions of the parties. The thesis aims to demonstrate that these ADR offer undeniable guarentees to the parties, guarentees that they do not always find with contentious justice. Due find to opportunities offred by these amicalble and alternative methods, they can be seen as a methode offreind safe and affective justice for resolving contractual dispute in commercial matters. The parties find appropriate and beneficial disputes in commercial matters. The partie find appropriate and benecial solutions, taking avantage in particular, from a procedural point of view, of confidentiality, speed, flexibility, idependance, impartiality and, in substance, in actively participating in a consent-based payment methods. By studying French law, Haitian law and OHADA law, this thesis proposes to show how amicable methods, whisch are mainly conciliation and mediation are security instruments granrandueeing the rights of the parties in commercial matters, then, in whish arbitration is also an instrument for guaranteeing and protecting the rights of the partie in matters of commercial disputes

Abstract:
Of the four Hu genes found in most vertebrates (HuA, HuB, HuC and HuD), all except HuA exhibit mRNA and protein expression that is essentially restricted to post-mitotic neurons of the developing and adult nervous systems. Spatial and temporal examination of individual “neuronal Hu” (nHu = HuB, HuC and HuD) proteins in brain tissue suggests nHu proteins may play a functional role during neuronal differentiation; as RNA-binding proteins, the nHu proteins may participate in gene regulatory events that are essential for acquisition of the neuronal phenotype. We have identified a number of candidate mRNA targets of the nHu proteins. Our data suggest that the majority of these mRNAs interact with nHu proteins through sequences present in their 3´ untranslated regions (UTRs). From this 3´UTR target subset, several mRNAs were selected for further examination based on reported roles for their encoded proteins during axonogenesis, a critical developmental process during which nascent neurons grow and extend axons that eventually connect to and form synaptic connections with other neurons. The mRNAs chosen encode for cytoskeleton-modifying proteins; Cofilin, Vasodilator-Stimulated Phosphoprotein (VASP) and the Rho GTPase Cdc42. The primary aim of the work reported in this thesis was to characterise the effect of interactions between the neuronal Hu protein HuC, and the CLIP-identified 3´UTRs listed above. To do this, the 3´UTR sequences were cloned into reporter vectors (both fluorescent and luciferase reporter-based) to produce reporter protein-encoding messages that included a putative target 3´UTR. These vectors were then used in co-transfection experiments with or without HuC and measurements of reporter protein and mRNA abundance obtained. Interestingly, despite initial speculation that HuC might be involved in directly regulating protein expression from target mRNAs, no significant effect of HuC on protein production from any of the 3´UTR-reporter mRNAs tested was observed. However and quite unexpectedly, measurement of 3´UTR-reporter mRNA abundance from co-transfection assays revealed a potential role for HuC in modulating alternative polyadenylation site choice for one of the CLIP-identified 3´UTR sequences. Regulation of mRNA polyadenylation site choice may be a novel mechanism by which nHu proteins post-transcriptionally control gene expression during neuronal development.

Abstract After bridge collapse, a proper temporary bridge for reducing additional social cost and delays of rescue is needed with emergency to assist rescuer to enter the disaster area. Usually, the temporary bridge method is decided by engineer with experience, and the influence of duration on social cost and relief time is ignored. Therefore, this study considers time effect of rescue and economical phase to create the Economic Evaluation of Temporary Bridge Methods and Alternate Routes.
