Full textA decade of experiments at the National Ignition Facility has proven that inertial confinement fusion is a credible approach to energy production, with experiments having exceeded the ignition regime. However, the indirect-drive approach is not suited for high gain implosions and reliable energy production. The direct-drive ignition approach is favoured for energy production as it features simpler target designs and couples more energy to them. There are currently no ignition-scale laser facilities configured for the standard direct-drive approach. Integrated direct-drive experiments have mostly been focused on understanding the physics at reduced scales, with the ultimate goal of demonstration of necessity and feasibility of construction of an international direct-drive laser facility. This thesis manuscript presents a study on the validation of state-of-the-art 3D radiative hydrodynamics codes and the understanding of low modes and laser coupling which play crucial roles in the study of inertial fusion energy. Careful examination of CBET models is of paramount importance in this context, ensuring the accuracy of simulations and contributing to the design of future direct-drive facilities. In addition, the investigation of laser homogeneity on target is imperative to understand its overall impact on the system

So one is led to analyze some political activities which have been left due to an exclusive concern for surface movements, institutional dynamics or political apparatures. Mauritania the empirical field of this question of low politics is studied through three news aspects : first an islamic preacher Mohamed Ould Sidi Yahya, his practice profile, language and world ; secondly political subversion by women's popular lullabies in tense political situations and last columns written since 1988 in several newspapers by a popular journalist Habib Ould Mahfoudh. In these three studies the emphasis is put on the fact that these various ways of behaving are popular modes of political statement and on the context of their birth and the diversity of their authors. Altogether we way discover connections to politics and power wich allow us to revisit an look on politics and especially an Mauritania

Full textConsumerist lifestyles in industrialized countries are considered one of the main drivers of global resource use and environment degradation. Changes in these lifestyles are therefore one of the keys to achieving a sustainable future, especially as these lifestyles also tend to be pursued by some economic classes in developing countries. Yet the lifestyles issue has only marginally been considered in public policies until now, including the ones that aimed to address the challenges of energy transition and climate change mitigation. Our research was initiated in order to encourage all parties engaging with these challenges to take into account our future lifestyles in this context. To this aim, we focused on the prospective approach. It is indeed one of the tools and processes that is most commonly used to support decision-makers on the long-term challenges raised by energy transition and tackling climate change. We found that most foresight studies did not go in depth while addressing the issue of lifestyles, especially the model-based studies. Indeed, the models generally used in these studies are not thought out to allow for proper consideration of this multidimensional issue. To answer for this, we propose a conceptual framework that allows proper understanding of the lifestyle concept and clarifies its role in the energy system. As a core contribution, we developed a modelling approach to simulate lifestyle-change scenarios for France. This formal approach allows us to quantify the demands for housing, mobility, goods and services that arises in these scenarios and defines the structure of energy uses. Three scenarios for lifestyle changes are considered in this manuscript to demonstrate implementations of the proposed approach

Full textThis study to intercultural orientation, intend to do the organisation analysis of the work in two brewery (the first in Congo, in Pointe-Noire precisely, the second in France more particulary in Strasbourg) in order to understand manners of workingman and to put in a promiment position, at first the national and cultural particularities, then the interactions which result between the industrial references and the ones of social systems which workers belong. As this part, the comparative approach is the most indicated to tackle the problems related manners of workingman. Of cause, such option suppose that our must take into accunt workman skills in the two brewery, their knowledge, the ideas that they have of industrial system and of the work they carry out, their previous experience, their culture, the tradition which is tied up work, their frame and their manner of work appropriation. To aboard the problematic of manners of workingman, we refered to a theoric frame which can suggest the required conceptual basis and methodological. This object we manager to do a bibliographic review, which is relative work thematics, the oraganization behavior in intercultural situation, the transfer of technology and ergonomics. The methodology that we carry to grasp the manners of working is adopted classic means (observation, discussion, work analysis). The datos treatment which have been calleded required the use of camputer impliments. The (qualitative or quantitative) result of study permited to validate the hypothesis which suppose differences between the manners of workingman and to explain these one with the fact that workman move around a situation of technical, organization, cultural contraints which overdetermine as it were not only both the logics of actions, but as their activities or the process that they carry out. As well in the conception of technical objects as in the work representations, there are important differences, which allocate workmans in both brewery. The results of this study defined the typology of model to functioning operators

Full textThe development of the neighborhood as a scale of a more sustainable urban development takes part in a period of awareness linked to climate change for which the European Union has implemented an energy transition policy. In this context, the eco-neighborhoods are structured around two key points in terms of energy: energy efficiency and energy supply. Energy efficiency, which encompasses the energy performance of buildings and the control of energy demand, is the spearhead of existing local energy transition policies. In contrast, the low-carbon energy supply does not seem to have reached sufficient maturity to be fully implemented at the neighborhood level. Nevertheless, the analysis of eco-district projects shows the growing interest in the creation of a low carbon energy supply using local resources. This interest reflects, in particular, the willingness of some local actors to reach a degree of energy autonomy. In order to consider the neighborhood as a relevant scale for low-carbon energy supply, it is necessary to analyze the technical-economic and institutional conditions to be implemented. It reveals the need for a paradigm shift in the structuring of energy systems from centralized to decentralized systems. However, this new paradigm is conditioned by the technical and economic maturity of the infrastructures that can be installed in the district and by the ability to find a viable business model making the investment profitable on this scale. For the institutional part, it causes a modification of the relations between the actors using the energetic vectors studied (electricity and heat). The rise of new production profiles with the development of renewable energies and the emergence of new consumer profiles becoming producers, alters the energy value chain and makes it necessary to guarantee the flexibility of energy systems to ensure their correct functioning. To plan a different pathway that these relationships might take, a methodological approach based on the construction of the ideal-type was carried out. It shows the need for a new player, the energy manager, to ensure the proper functioning of the energy systems installed in the neighborhoods

Full textThis thesis analyzes the lived tensions and negotiations conducted on a daily basis by young graduates, taking into account their training program and the use of RSA. Starting with interviews and stories, research focuses on socio-biographical process, with their many identities and relational transformations. A typology of lifestyles was first constructed to describe the multiple uses of RSA practiced daily. An analysis of the course in the device was then used to grasp the ways in which these young renegotiating uses RSA with their entourage and the professionals responsible for the accompaniment of the beneficiaries. Finally, this thesis shows that the use of RSA represents a significant social experience for young graduates, out of higher education and faced with job insecurity, particularly in the way they live their social transitions to adulthood

Thesis, Strasbourg, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019STRAH014.
Full textToday, many cities are seeking to promote sustainable mobility. Their policies have already reduced the car's place, developed pedestrian and bicycle facilities and / or renewed public transport. This raises the question of the effects of these policies on the conditions of access to everyday resources. Are the arrangements for sustainable mobility configured to meet the needs of the entire population? Do soft modes offer a credible alternative to the car? Globally or selectively? To answer this question, this thesis presents a geographical analysis approach based on the concept of spatial ergonomics. The application to 13 test areas, using a geographic information system, has revealed cleavage situations within the l’Eurométropole of Strasbourg, to study finely differentiated situations and to put them in perspective with socio-demographic profiles to analyze socio-spatial disparities

Full textThe goal of this thesis is to designand build a piezoelectric motor for an exhaustgas heat recovery application. This applicationrequires relatively high torque, highcompactness, thermal endurance and acceptablecost. In order to achieve this goal, the design of theengine passes by the choice of its mode ofoperation. This choice is made based on criteriasuch as low cost, high torque and compactness. After the determination of the architecture ofthe piezoelectric motor, the modelling isaddressed. The purpose of the model is tocompute the torque/speed characteristicsknowing the motor dimensions and materials, the surface state of the contact, the precompressionforce and the supply voltage. The modeling developed was validated byexperimental measurements. In the last part, the motor is build and tested. Itsdynamic behavior and torque/speedcharacteristics were measured. With theexception of the peak and blocking torque, allthe performances required by the applicationwere fulfilled. Finally, the model results are compared to themeasurements done on the prototype. Thedynamic behavior is well predicted by themodel. However, the model is not able tocompute accurately the stator displacements. This implies inaccuracy in the motorcharacteristics computation. It turns out thatthey are related to the absence of the coefficientof contact damping

ABSTRACT BAS (budgetary, accounting and statistics) personnel in an organization are not only staffs but also professional employees. Although Business Accounting Law assigns BAS personnel some professional background, they should still keep improving and introspecting their own professional skills and knowledge. As BAS personnel, in order to have the sense of belonging about their duties, they should be very persistent and dedicated on their jobs as well as self-identify about their professional ethics. Because of the fast pace of social change and the enhancing demand of the governor emphasizing on its multifunctionality, BAS personnel need to improve their professional capability, know how to manipulate the skills, and dedicate on the works happily to create the unique positions they own in an organization. Department of BAS are a supporting department in charge of the financial situation in an organization. They should not only be responsible for the cross-functional communication, but assist the organization to achieve to goals they set and ensure the rights of all the staffs. They tend to settle in conflicts with staffs or even chiefs in other departments due to the nature of its centralized personnel system and the works they obtain. When the conflicts occur, the conflict-handling modes they choose are associated with whether the problems will be solved and the atmosphere in the organization will be affected. Regardless of the fast pace of social change or the demand of the governor emphasizing on its multifunctionality, service-oriented architecture is the key. They should always take the organization objects as first priority, and coordinate the department involved at the same time. In this research, outlines were summarized based on the interviews of 7 senior BAS staffs via qualitative research method. Before the interviews, the main objects and the interviewing procedure were informed via phone, and the questions were emailed to the interviewees. Interview record were taken via verbatim transcription and analyzed the results. The results are shown as followed: 1. Higher the professional identification they have, more possibility they use the collaborating mode (of the conflict-handling modes) when facing conflicts, and compromising mode sets in second place. 2. The professional capability of BAS personnel are associated with the learning environment, organization culture, and their first supervisor when they were new to the job. 3. BAS staffs are both financial executioners and professional advisers. They should judge the circumstances correctly and take action by appropriate conflict-handling modes when facing conflicts. Keywords: BAS staffs, centralized personnel system, professional identification, the conflict-handling modes.
