Abstract:
The study of fiqh is indeed a very vital material. Because this is related to how Islamic law is carried out. Especially about the worship of mahdhah, therefore every Muslim is obliged to learn to understand it so that at the level of implementation it can run well by religious orders. This service activity was carried out at the At-Taqwa taklim assembly in the hamlet of Lestari Jaya which was the location of the KKL of STAI Sangatta East Kutai students related to strengthening and mentoring religious fiqh. In its implementation, of course, there is planning, implementation, and evaluation that must be considered in compiling and implementing a program. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge of the members of the taklim assembly related to ablution, obligatory bathing, and prayer. The enthusiasm of the assisted participants also showed a positive attitude so in this activity it is necessary to follow up with similar activities by discussing other topics.

Abstract:
The Community Service program activity of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Faculty lecturer team at the PLN Technology Institute for the 2019/2020 fiscal year was carried out in Sukadana village, Ciomas district, Serang region, Banten precisely at RT 011 RW 003 Cilatak hamlet. The selection of Sukadana village as a place to implement Community Service is because this village is still experiencing problems in the construction and development facilities and infrastructure. The problems that are currently being experienced by villagers regarding the clean water distribution for ablution of villagers in the mosque. During this time for ablution in mosque, villagers only rely on water from mountain springs whose distribution relies on gravitational pressure through a plastic hose and accommodated in a large tub located beside the mosque. In addition to being used for ablution, water is also used by villagers to bathing, washing, etc., so that when used for ablution sometimes it is no longer clean because it has been mixed with soapy water used for bathing and washing. Based on those problems, our team provided solution to partner in the form of infrastructure development and clean water supply by reconfiguring the clean water distribution installation for ablution in the mosque by installing solar water pump. The method used in the implementation of this Community Service activity is to approach the villagers during the survey through interviews by providing solution to the problem and conducting questionnaires and socialization in the form of a brief education. The results of the activities have been done by installing 2 units of DC water pump @180 Watt, 4 units of polycrystalline solar modules @100 Wp, 2 units of battery @100 Ah 12 V and 2 units of solar charge controller. With the implementation of Community Service activities in Sukadana village, aside from being able to help overcome the problems faced by partner, besides that it can provide progress and development of infrastructure for partner village and the existence of a partnership that makes that village as IT PLN assisted village.

Abstract:
Abstract Background CHG bathing is used to suppress patients’ microbial skin colonization, in order to prevent infections and transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms. Prior work has suggested that microbial growth is inhibited when CHG skin concentrations exceed threshold levels. Methods We conducted 6 single-day surveys from January 2018 to February 2019 in 7 academic hospital MICUs with established CHG patient bathing. Adult patients were eligible to have skin swabbed from adjacent 25 cm2 areas on the neck, axilla, and inguinal region for culture and CHG concentration determination. CHG skin concentrations were measured by a semi-quantitative colorimetric assay. Selective media were used to isolate targeted microorganisms (Table 1). Species were confirmed by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry; antibiotic susceptibility was determined by MicroScan (Beckman Coulter). We modeled the relationship between CHG skin concentrations (log2-transformed) and microorganism recovery (yes/no as primary outcome) using multilevel models controlling for clustering of body sites within patients and within ICUs, assessing slope and threshold effects. Results We enrolled 736/759 (97%) patients and sampled 2176 skin sites. Gram-positive bacteria were detected most frequently (Table 1). The adjusted odds of identifying gram-positive organisms decreased linearly as CHG skin levels increased (Figure 1a), without evidence of a threshold effect. We also found significant negative linear slopes without evidence of threshold effects for other pathogens tested (Table 2; Figure 1), with the exception of gram-negative bacteria and vancomycin-resistant enterococci. When modeling quantitative culture results (colony-forming units) for gram-positive organisms as a continuous outcome variable, a similar relationship was found. Conclusion Higher concentrations of CHG were associated with less frequent recovery of gram-positive bacteria and Candida species on the skin of MICU patients who were bathed routinely with CHG. For microbial inhibition, we did not identify a threshold concentration of CHG on the skin; rather, increasing CHG skin concentrations led to additional gains in inhibition. For infection prevention, aiming for high CHG skin levels may be beneficial. Disclosures All authors: No reported disclosures.

Abstract:
Abstract Informal caregivers for persons with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) have become an integral part of the long-term health care system. They are relied on to provided day-to-day care that is challenging, complex, and often spans several years. Most of the research on informal caregivers for persons with ADRD have focused on spousal caregiving, mother-daughter dyads, and daughters. There is sparse literature on informal non-spousal male caregivers for persons with ADRD. The objective of this research was to obtain an understanding of the experiences of informal non-spousal male caregivers for persons with ADRD. This descriptive qualitative pilot study consisted of in-depth one-on-one interviews with three informal non-spousal male caregivers for persons with ADRD. Four themes emerged through data analysis: 1) the male perspective and experience of caregiving, 2) relationship dynamics, 3) caregiving challenges, and 4) finding meaning within caregiving. Conclusion: Similar to other caregivers, informal non-spousal male caregivers assisted with transportation, managing medical appointments, as well as bathing and personal care. Differences with other caregivers, specifically female caregivers, emerged in terms of descriptions of traditional versus non-traditional gender roles. The implications of this study are that public policies, support services and medical professionals need to understand and be able to address the different experiences and needs of informal non-spousal male caregivers.

Abstract:
Background: Antiparasitic drug toxicosis is commonly described in dogs and cats, but reports on the management of antiparasitic drug toxicities in pet rabbits are scarce. Here, we describe the successful clinical management of two pet rabbits with fipronil toxicosis. Cases Description: The first case (case 1) was a 5-month-old, intact female, rabbit presented with acute onset of seizures, obtunded mentation and in lateral recumbency, while the second rabbit (case 2) was a 1-year-old, intact male presented for anorexia and lethargy. In both cases the owners reported to have administered a 0.5 ml fipronil vial topically on the skin as an antiparasitic drug between 4-6 hours prior presentation. Complete blood count and serum biochemistry were unremarkable and both rabbits tested negative on Encephalitozoon cuniculi serology. Both animals were decontaminated by bathing with tepid water and dishwashing soap. The rabbit with seizures received on admission intravenous midazolam. In both cases overnight hospitalization, intravenous isotonic crystalloid fluids as well as assisted-feeding by oral syringe was provided until voluntary feeding was resumed. Both rabbits rapidly improved approximately 12 hours of initiating supportive care. Complete resolution of clinical signs and return of normal appetite and defecation occurred within 24 hours of hospitalization in both animals. No recurrence of neurological signs was reported in the rabbit presented with seizures on a follow-up period of one month. Conclusion: The outcome of these cases suggests that supportive treatment of fipronil toxicity in pet rabbits can be successful if administered promptly.

Abstract:
Older adults often need some level of assistance in performing daily living activities. Even though these activities are common to the vast majority of individuals (e.g., eating, bathing, dressing), the way they are performed varies across individuals. Supporting older people in performing their everyday activities is a major avenue of research in smart homes. However, because of its early stage, this line of work has paid little attention on customizing assistive computing support with respect to the specific needs of each older adult towards improving its effectiveness and acceptability. We propose a tool-based approach to allowing caregivers to define services in the area of home daily living, leveraging their knowledge and expertise on the older adult they care for. This approach consists of two stages: 1) a wizard allows caregivers to define an assistive service, which supports aspects of a daily activity that are specific to an older adult; 2) the wizard-generated service is uploaded in an existing smart home platform and interpreted by a dedicated component, carrying out the caregiver-defined service. Our approach has been implemented. Our wizard has been successfully used to define existing manually-programmed, activity-supporting services. The resulting services have been deployed and executed by an existing assisted living platform deployed in the home of community-dwelling individuals. They have been shown to be equivalent to their manually-programmed counterparts. We also conducted an ergonomics study involving five occupational therapists, who tested our wizard with clinical vignettes describing fictitious patients. Participants were able to successfully define services while revealing an ease of use of our wizard.

Abstract:
Islam teaches that every human being will experience death. The obligation of a Muslim to a Muslim who dies is fard kifayah, meaning that if some Muslims have carried it out, then the obligations have finished. These obligations are bathing, shrouding, praying and burying the dead. Women’s bodies must be treated specifically by the female coroner’s team. Hamlet Kembaran already has several ladies who are active in the care of corpses, despite the limited number. Accordingly, it affects the treatment of female corpses, where they are often assisted and guided by male coroners. Thus, more female mortuary teams are necessary with the knowledge, skills and independence in caring for women’s corpses and psychological assistance for bereaved families through the formation of a women’s mortuary team in the Kembaran hamlet. The program aimed to increase the knowledge and skills of the women’s congregation in the care (rukti) of women’s bodies through tutorials and practices. The implementation of the methods was carried out online using video tutorials and practices. The participants were 30 women, members of the Babul Jannah recitation, who were willing to take part in the training. The training was carried out for one month by a service team with religious and psychological expertise. Also, the videos and modules were created by the team. The training was carried out online through the Whatsapp group by providing material in the form of modules, presentation slides and videos of corpse care practices. The results of this community service program indicated that the knowledge, skills and behavior of the women’s congregation improved significantly, and they are ready to practice the care (rukti) of women’s bodies independently.

Abstract:
Background: With advancement in laparoscopic surgery a number of surgical procedures can be performed combined with laparoscopic cholecystectomy for treating coexisting abdominal pathologies in a single surgery. We evaluated the safety and efficacy of such surgeries when paired in a single sitting with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: A retrospective review of all patients who had undergone combined procedures with laparoscopic cholecystectomy during the period from May 2016 to July 2019 at Maxx life hospital, Bathindi, Jammu was performed, 1200 laparoscopic cholecystectomies were performed during the study period. Of these, 400 cases were combined with another procedure, out of which, 348 were combined laparoscopic procedures and 52 were open procedures combined with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Results: All the combined surgical procedures were performed successfully. The mean operative time was 70 minutes (range 50-180 min). The longest time was for the patients who had undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy with Laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (180 min). The mean hospital stay was 2 days (range 1-5 days). Conclusions: As long as the basic surgical principles and indications for combined procedures are adhered to, more patients with concomitant pathologies in the abdomen can enjoy the benefits of minimal access surgery and also one-time anaesthesia without significant addition in post-operative morbidity and hospital stay.

Objectives: This evidence-based design clinical trial assessed the feasibility of a multisensory environment (MSE) using aromatherapy, color-changing lights, and music as a behavioral intervention to calm Veterans with dementia during assisted bathing to improve the patient experience. Background: The number of Veterans with dementia is growing rapidly, along with the associated debilitating behavior challenges. The severity of these distressed behaviors that predominantly occur at bath time often necessitates costly, dangerous sedatives. Feasibility studies of nonpharmacological behavioral interventions during bathing for people with dementia are urgently needed, and research supports MSE as a viable solution. Method: Using an A–B, multiple baselines across participants design, this study tracked operational behaviors of four Veterans with dementia during bathing without and with an MSE intervention. Sessions were provided and recorded by a dedicated team of five nurses, so the study team could analyze the Veterans’ operational behaviors to understand the impact of individualized MSE during both baseline and intervention phases. Results: The results support the feasibility of MSE as a helpful, nonpharmacological behavioral intervention for Veterans with dementia during bathing. All participants experienced an overall increase in duration of positive operational behaviors and an overall decrease in duration of negative operational behaviors. Conclusions: Healthcare environments are integral components in dementia care and the use of MSE within the bathing setting appears to improve not only operational behaviors but the overall bathing experience.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Many residents of assisted living facilities live with dementia, but little is known about the characteristics of assisted living facilities that provide specialized care for older adults who live with dementia. In this study, we identify the characteristics of assisted living facilities that offer a dementia care program, compared to those that do not offer such a program. Methods We conducted a population-level cross-sectional study on all licensed assisted living facilities in Ontario, Canada in 2018 (n = 738). Facility-level characteristics (e.g., resident and suite capacities, etc.) and the provision of the other 12 provincially regulated care services (e.g., pharmacist and medical services, skin and wound care, etc.) attributed to assisted living facilities were examined. Multivariable Poisson regression with robust standard errors was used to model the characteristics of assisted living facilities associated with the provision of a dementia care program. Results There were 123 assisted living facilities that offered a dementia care program (16.7% versus 83.3% no dementia care). Nearly half of these facilities had a resident capacity exceeding 140 older adults (44.7% versus 21.6% no dementia care) and more than 115 suites (46.3% versus 20.8% no dementia care). All assisted living facilities that offered a dementia care program also offered nursing services, meals, assistance with bathing and hygiene, and administered medications. After adjustment for facility characteristics and other provincially regulated care services, the prevalence of a dementia care program was nearly three times greater in assisted living facilities that offered assistance with feeding (Prevalence Ratio [PR] 2.91, 95% Confidence Interval [CI] 1.98 to 4.29), and almost twice as great among assisted living facilities that offered medical services (PR 1.78, 95% CI 1.00 to 3.17), compared to those that did not. Conclusions A dementia care program was more prevalent in assisted living facilities that housed many older adults, had many suites, and offered at least five of the other 12 regulated care services. Our findings deepen the understanding of specialized care for dementia in assisted living facilities.

Abstract:
Chromium-free materials as eco-friendly coatings with higher corrosion resistance are crucial in various industrial processes. Herein, we report the deposition of cerium-based conversion, a chromium-free, eco-friendly chemical conversion coating for aluminum alloy 6101, by the dip coating method. Immersion in cerium salt precursors assisted with hydrogen peroxide was performed for the deposition of cerium-based conversion coatings on aluminum alloy 6101 at different bathing temperatures. The electrochemical corrosion behavior was assessed in an alkaline solution of sodium hydroxide (pH 11), including mass loss measurements, free corrosion risk, polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction and photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that the coatings were composed of Ce (III) and Ce (IV) oxides. Surface modifications and surface degradation of the coating and substrate after immersion in corrosive media were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. Additionally, energy dispersive scanning analysis demonstrated the elemental composition before and after corrosion of the cerium salt conversion-based coating. The results demonstrated that selectively deposited cerium-based conversion coatings improved the corrosion resistance by up to 96% in a strong corrosive alkaline media.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: The coiling of component blood vessels is one of the most mysterious characteristics of the human umbilical cord. Umbilical coiling index (UCI) is dened as the total number of coils divided by the total length of the cord in centimeters. Most of the published studies categorize umbilical cords as hypocoiled, normocoiled and hypercoiled. The presence of hypocoiling and hypercoiling in cords has been associated with adverse perinatal outcomes. (i) To study association AIM AND OBJECTIVES: of UCI with perinatal outcome in normal as well as high risk pregnancies like PIH, GDM, eclampsia, previous LSCS and elderly mothers. (ii) To study association of UCI with mode of delivery, birth weight, Apgar score at 1 minute and 5 minutes, meconium staining, intrauterine growth restriction and neonatal intensive care unit admission. Observational study w METHODS: as carried out in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Department of Pediatrics, AIMSR, Bathinda. Patients were selected consecutively as and when they presented to hospital applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Out of 200 cases, normocoiling was seen RESULTS: in 135 patients (67.50%), hypocoiling in 42 patients (21%) and hypercoiling in 23 patients (11.50%). The mean UCI in our study was 0.164 ± 0.135. Hypocoiling is signicantly associated with preeclampsia, low Apgar score at 1 minute and 5 minute, meconium stained liquor and increased NICU admissions while hypercoiling is associated with diabetes mellitus, increased LSCS and assisted vaginal deliveries, low Apgar score at 1 minute, meconium stained liquor, intrauterine growth restriction and increased NICU admissions. Both hypocoiling and hyperc CONCLUSION: oiling has signicant association with adverse fetal outcome. Therefore, detection of coiling index postnatally or antenatally can identify babies at risk and thus helps in further management.
