Abstract:
Information and Communication Technologies are driving the improvement of industrial processes. According to the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) paradigm, digital systems provide real-time information to humans and machines, increasing flexibility and efficiency in production environments. Based on the I4.0 Design Principles concept, Virtual Assistants can play a vital role in processing production data and offer contextualized and real-time information to the workers in the production environment. This systematic review paper explored Virtual Assistant applications in the context of I4.0, discussing the Technical Assistance Design Principle and identifying the characteristics, services, and limitations regarding Virtual Assistant use in the production environments. The results showed that Virtual Assistants offer Physical and Virtual Assistance. Virtual Assistance provides real-time contextualized information mainly for support, while Physical Assistance is oriented toward task execution. Regarding services, the applications include integration with legacy systems and static information treatment. The limitations of the applications incorporate concerns about information security and adapting to noisy and unstable environments. It is possible to assume that the terminology of Virtual Assistants is not standardized and is mentioned as chatbots, robots, and others. Besides the worthy insights of this research, the small number of resulting papers did not allow for generalizations. Future research should focus on broadening the search scope to provide more-significant conclusions and research possibilities with new AI models and services, including the emergent Industry 5.0 concept.

Abstract:
Intelligent cognitive assistants support people who need help performing everyday tasks by detecting when problems occur and providing tailored and context-sensitive assistance. Spoken dialogue interfaces allow users to interact with intelligent cognitive assistants while focusing on the task at hand. In order to establish requirements for voice interfaces to intelligent cognitive assistants, we conducted three focus groups with people with dementia, carers, and older people without a diagnosis of dementia. Analysis of the focus group data showed that voice and interaction style should be chosen based on the preferences of the user, not those of the carer. For people with dementia, the intelligent cognitive assistant should act like a patient, encouraging guide, while for older people without dementia, assistance should be to the point and not patronising. The intelligent cognitive assistant should be able to adapt to cognitive decline.

The work of personal assistants is crucial to the quality of life, health, and participation of consumers with spinal cord injuries. The purpose of this study was to describe the barriers and satisfaction experienced by consumers and personal assistants. Transcripts were taken from five focus groups conducted with 24 consumers with spinal cord injuries and 15 personal assistants. Results revealed that both groups experienced problems with the consumer and personal assistant relationship, inadequate reimbursement, and restrictive policies. Satisfaction was experienced when a positive working relationship existed for both groups. Assistants derived satisfaction from the altruistic nature of their work. Future research is needed to identify the most effective methods for personal assistant recruitment, training, and retention. Specific methods to be tested include increasing personal assistant reimbursement, providing training programs for both consumers and assistants, and increasing the flexibility of personal assistance services policies.

Abstract:
Numerous studies have been conducted on automated vehicles. Additionally, considerable research has been done to increase vehicle safety. The majority of safety-related research done in this field uses hardware and electronic components. Lane keep assistance, parking assistance, and city break assistance are a few instances that can be given. Only a small number of software-related parts are utilized in current automobiles, nevertheless. The primary illustration for this is vehicle assistants. However, current vehicle aides can carry out commands and carry out some specified responsibilities for drivers or passengers. In some aspects, this might be able to lessen driver stickiness and increase driving enjoyment. In contrast to the current vehicle assistants, this proposed assistant represents a fresh method. It can detect drivers' emotions and adjust behavior accordingly. The major goal of this research is to reduce accidents that are caused by driver distraction. Additionally, this suggested helper may recognize emotional states in drivers, such as fatigue, grief, and anger, and act accordingly to keep them focused on the road.

Abstract:
We consider a variant of the entanglement of assistance, as independently introduced by D.P. DiVincenzo et al. (quant-ph/9803033) and O. Cohen (Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 2493 (1998)). Instead of considering three-party states in which one of the parties, the assistant, performs a measurement such that the remaining two parties are left with on average as much entanglement as possible, we consider four-party states where two parties play the role of assistants. We answer several questions that arise naturally in this scenario, such as (i) how much more entanglement can be produced when the assistants are allowed to perform joint measurements, (ii) for what type of states are local measurements sufficient, (iii) is it necessary for the second assistant to know the measurement outcome of the first, and (iv) are projective measurements sufficient or are more general POVMs needed?

Abstract:
Development assistance achieved remarkable success in different periods. For example, Botswana and South Korea reached the great development in the 60s after very bad situation, Indonesia in the 70s, Bolivia and Ghana at the end of the 80s, Uganda and Vietnam in the 90s. In these countries development assistance played important role in economic transformation in formulation of the development of politics. The development assistance contributed educational programs and financially supported the development of public sector. The “Green Revolution” – by means of innovations in agriculture, investments and political changes – improved the live conditions of millions people thanks to the collaboration of many bilateral and multilateral donors. But there are some failures with the foreign aide. While the formed dictator of Zaire Mobutu Sese Seko became one of the richest people in the world (and invested his property in abroad), the development assistance did not stop for many years, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) is only one example of the situation, where the permanent flows of assistance ignore or support the corruption and in suitable politics of governments. Tanzania received two milliards dollars for building the roads destiny the twenty years. But the roads were destroyed sooner, than the works could be finished because of insufficient maintenance.  The study of World Bank brings the conclusions of the new conception of the development assistance: financial assistance works only in suitable political world; the lowering of poverty is possible only with working institutions – political and economic; effective assistance complete the private investments; receiving country is obliged to have public sector in function; the function of public sector is developing on the activity of civil society; patience and good ideas, not only money, can help to reforms in very unfavorable conditions.

Abstract:
This research examines the drawbacks associated with ChatGPT, a smart writing assistant chatbot, within the context of student writing. Employing qualitative methods, notably in-depth interviews with 30 participants, the study meticulously analyzes the challenges and constraints entailed in relying on ChatGPT for writing assistance. Centered around five key themes — understanding, dependency, feedback, writing style, and plagiarism — the findings clarify that students struggle with comprehending ChatGPT's output, potentially leading to confusion and misinterpretation. The feedback provided by the AI writing assistant emerges as generic and lacking specificity, constraining its efficacy in guiding students' writing processes. Participants report an obvious shift towards more predictable and impersonal writing styles attributed to their usage of ChatGPT—furthermore, apprehensions surface concerning the unintentional risk of plagiarism when leveraging the tool. The implications underscore educators' need to acknowledge the limitations of AI writing assistants, offering targeted support to help students navigate these challenges while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and independent writing skills. The findings promote ongoing research and improvement in AI writing assistants to improve understanding, elevate feedback quality, and address identified limitations. By mitigating these drawbacks, educators, students, and developers can optimize the utility of AI writing assistants, ensuring they serve as valuable tools for supporting writing development while upholding critical thinking, creativity, and ethical writing practices. This research not only reveals the drawbacks of ChatGPT as a writing assistant but also advocates for continual research and development in the field of AI writing assistance.

Abstract:
Abstract A key feature displayed in Best Practice Caregiving are the types of assistances. Data on 54 areas of care were collected for all 44 programs. These were analyzed through factor analysis and grouped into 19 types of assistance. Types were analyzed by the number of assistances provided, delivery method, and recipient of assistance. On average, programs delivered 11.8 types of assistances, with the most common types being Supporting CG/Individual-with-Dementia (IWD) Communication, Encouraging Positive CG-IWD Activities, and Assisting with Coping (93.2%), with the least common being Getting a Dementia Diagnosis (29.5%) and Monitoring Benefits of Services (20.5%). Assistance was delivered most often through information/referral delivery (M=11.07, SD=5.41) than direct (M=3.77, SD=4.54) or skills training (M= 7.50, SD=4.54). Results of the data show the breadth and characteristics of assistances programs provide to support caregivers of persons with dementia, along with gaps in types of assistances and future directions for programs.

Abstract:
We consider the problem of creating assistants that can help agents solve new sequential decision problems, assuming the agent is not able to specify the reward function explicitly to the assistant. Instead of acting in place of the agent as in current automation-based approaches, we give the assistant an advisory role and keep the agent in the loop as the main decision maker. The difficulty is that we must account for potential biases of the agent which may cause it to seemingly irrationally reject advice. To do this we introduce a novel formalization of assistance that models these biases, allowing the assistant to infer and adapt to them. We then introduce a new method for planning the assistant's actions which can scale to large decision making problems. We show experimentally that our approach adapts to these agent biases, and results in higher cumulative reward for the agent than automation-based alternatives. Lastly, we show that an approach combining advice and automation outperforms advice alone at the cost of losing some safety guarantees.

Abstract:
Almost daily drivers of road trains (RT) have to maneuver in cramped conditions, including moving in reverse, which is a significant difficulty. The existing electronic parking sensors systems are implemented only for single cars. The available publications concerning the RT are devoted to the search for optimal control algorithms without the driver participation. The purpose of this study is to develop «Park Assistant» (PA) system that helps the driver to maneuver the RT in reverse in difficult conditions. To do this, using the «navigation system», the current situation is estimated and modeled, the initial coordinates of the RT and the planned parking place are determined. Using the mathematical model of the RT, the trajectory of the «optimal movement of the tractor and semi-trailer» is calculated. The optimal trajectory of the RT in reverse and the steering wheel rotation algorithm are calculated using a specially developed program. The actions of the driver to perform the parking maneuver of the RT are reduced to the implementation of recommendations on the screen of the PA. The theoretical and practical results obtained contribute to the development of promising autonomous motor transport.

Abstract:
There is a growing interest in intelligent assistants for a variety of applications from sorting email to helping people with disabilities to do their daily chores. In this paper, we formulate the problem of intelligent assistance in a decision-theoretic framework, and present both theoretical and empirical results. We first introduce a class of POMDPs called hidden-goal MDPs (HGMDPs), which formalizes the problem of interactively assisting an agent whose goal is hidden and whose actions are observable. In spite of its restricted nature, we show that optimal action selection for HGMDPs is PSPACE-complete even for deterministic dynamics. We then introduce a more restricted model called helper action MDPs (HAMDPs), which are sufficient for modeling many real-world problems. We show classes of HAMDPs for which efficient algorithms are possible. More interestingly, for general HAMDPs we show that a simple myopic policy achieves a near optimal regret, compared to an oracle assistant that knows the agent's goal. We then introduce more sophisticated versions of this policy for the general case of HGMDPs that we combine with a novel approach for quickly learning about the agent being assisted. We evaluate our approach in two game-like computer environments where human subjects perform tasks, and in a real-world domain of providing assistance during folder navigation in a computer desktop environment. The results show that in all three domains the framework results in an assistant that substantially reduces user effort with only modest computation.

Abstract:
ObjectiveAbout half the patients on peritoneal dialysis (PD) in China need to be assisted by family members or home assistants. We explored whether these patients have a higher risk for peritonitis and death compared with self-care PD patients.MethodsWe prospectively followed 313 incident PD patients until death or censoring. This cohort was divided into assisted and self-care PD groups according to the independence of bag exchange. Data on baseline demographics, Charlson comorbidity index, biochemistry, and residual renal function were recorded during the first 3 – 6 months. The outcome variables were first episode of peritonitis and all-cause mortality.ResultsOf the 313 patients in this cohort study, 122 needed assistance in performing bag exchanges (86 from a family member, 36 from a home assistant); the remaining 191 patients did not need assistance. During a follow-up period averaging 44.5 months, 122 patients developed a first episode of peritonitis, and 135 patients died. Compared with patients having a family assistant, those with a home assistant had similar peritonitis-free and survival times, but a higher risk of mortality after adjustments for variables such as age, sex, Charlson comorbidity score, hemoglobin, serum albumin, and residual renal function. Furthermore, compared with self-care patients, assisted patients overall had a similar peritonitis-free time, but a higher risk of mortality, even after adjusting for covariates.ConclusionsBased on our single-center experience in China, we conclude that assisted PD is a good option for patients with poor self-care ability. This result provides evidence for recruiting patients who need assistance to PD programs in China.

Abstract: In this computerized world, machine human interaction system was more common. For that kind of interaction, we achieve this voice assistant using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Using this we deploy executable code which works according to the user’s voice command. Voice assistants are the kind of software that use voice recognition technology, natural language processing and AI to response humans. using this technology, the device synthesizes the user’s message, breaks it down, evaluates it, and offers a meaningful response in return. So far google assistance, apple’s siri, amazon’s alexa, microsoft’s cortana were being well known assistance but they were all developed for specific platforms. We developed a software that can be bridge with all the platforms, as we did for the windows machine because we mainly concentrated to achieve some more features to give better experience. The purpose of this paper is to build the voice assistant with the speech recognition algorithm, interactional graphical interface and has a voice cloning technology to perform a task. Abstract:
The project aims to help the users get the idea if he/she may be suffering from heart disease or not. Web development is the work involved in developing a Website for the web (world wide web) or an intranet (a private network).Web development can range from Developing an easy single static page of plain text to complex web applications, electronic business and social networking services. The main goal of this website (SYMPTOMATIC ASSISTANCE) is to predict the possibility of having Heart disease. For this , the user needs to provide some information regarding their health. Such as blood pressure, glucose, cigarettes per day etc. According to which the website will respond. This will make people aware and help them improve their health. Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. It is a branch of AI supported the thought that systems can learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. For this we chose the best dataset from kaggle and used it in the best possible way to predict the output with high accuracy. For being able to predict the correct output, we applied a few machine learning models and chose the best fitted algorithm according to accuracy. For connecting machine Learning models with the webpages we used Flask. Flask is a micro framework written in Python. It is classified as a microframework because it doesn't require particular tools or libraries. It has no database abstraction layer, form validation, or any other components where pre-existing third-party libraries provide common functions. However, Flask supports extensions which will add application features as if they were implemented in Flask itself. Extensions exist for object-relational mappers, form validation, upload handling, various open authentication technologies and several common framework related tools. At the end will deploy our project using Heroku. Heroku is a cloud Platform as a service (PaaS) supporting several programming languages. One of the first cloud platforms, This project will make it easy for the user to know their health closely.
