Abstract:

AbstractThe Play of Mintaraga to Sang Indrakila Resi: Study of a Change from One Type of Art to Another. This study aimed to trace the art transformation of the Mintaraga play to Sang Indrakila Resi. In other words, tracing the art transformation from play to written play. Sapardi Djoko Damono’s theory of art transformation is used as a framework for thinking in this study. Sapardi Djoko Damono’s theory states that art transformation is the change and transfer of “something” from one type of art to another. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection and processing methods used in this study were note-taking, listening, sorting, and orthographic matching techniques. The method used in the data analysis stage was the literary method (library methods). The result of this study was a formula for transfer of art from play to written play. AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan melacak alih wahana lakon Mintaraga ke Sang Indrakila Resi. Dengan kata lain melacak alih wahana dari lakon pertunjukan ke lakon tulis. Teori alih wahana Sapardi Djoko Damono dipakai sebagai kerangka berpikir dalam penelitian ini. Teori Sapardi Djoko Damono mengatakan bahwa alih wahana adalah pengubahan dan pemindahan “sesuatu” dari satu jenis wahana ke jenis wahana lain. Temuan yang dihasilkan ialah formula alih wahana dari lakon pertunjukan ke lakon tulis.

Abstract:

The Management of Lakon Gerak Minang Art Studio in Baringin Village, Tanah Datar Regency. A Bachelor Thesis. Sendratasik Department. FBS. Universitas Negeri Padang. This research aims to describe and explain the management system of Lakon Gerak Minang Art Studio in Baringin Village, Tanah Datar Regency. This research belongs to a qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data types used in this study were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature studies, observations, data analysis, and data collection. The results show that Lakon Gerak Minang art studio has a management consisting of managing, planning programs, and dividing various activities, tasks and responsibilities. Organizational processes are interconnected with each other. If one process is not executed properly, the other processes will not well. Therefore, every process must be done properly so that the studio management system can run well. Thus, it makes Lakon Gerak Minang art studio able to compete with other studios in Tanah Data Regency. The management system run by Lakon Gerak Minang art studio belongs to the line organization (a form of organization where the delegation of authority is directly vertical and entirely given from the leader to the subordinates). The advantage of this line organization is that all decisions can be resolved directly because in a certain situation the leader becomes one of the main targets in solving problems. The weakness of this organization is the problems cannot be resolved quickly due to the fact that the leader is not there. Thus, the management of this organization is to solve problems which exist in the studio.The head of the studio becomes the first person to complete and resolve the problems.

Abstrak Penciptan karya seni ini bermula dari keprihatinan terhadap pementasan wayang yang sudah mulai ditinggalkan di era milenial ini, sangat disayangkan apaila pementasan tersebut hilang begitu saja. Padahal kesenian ini sangat banyak memberikan pelajaran yang dapat membentuk karakter generasi muda menjadi lebih baik. Sebagai seorang yang lahir dan besar di Jawa, berkewajiban untuk turut andil dalam melestarikan kesenian peninggalan nenek moyang ini. Penciptaan karya seni ini mengambil tokoh Punakawan yang beranggotakan Semar, Gareng, Petruk dan Bagong. Tokoh-tokoh wayang tersebut diambil karena perannya dalam dunia pewayangan sangat besar. Penciptaan karya seni ini memvisualkan cuplikan lakon Punakawan ke dalam karya fotografi seni. Selain itu, ingin menyampaikan pesan moral yang terdapa dalam lakon Punakawan di karya fotografi seni. Karya visual ini mengandung elemen-elemen pendukung sesuai dengan topik yang diangkat. Elemen-elemen tersebut digabungkan dengan teknik montase yang diproses menggunakan digital imaging dan dicetak di media kertas foto. Dengan demikian, visual yang dihadirkan sesuai dengan harapan dan pesan yang akan disampaikan bisa tersampaikan dengan baik. Kata kunci : lakon, Punakawan, fotografi seni Abstract Punakawan Play in Fine Art Photography. The creation of this art work originated from the concern about puppet showa that already abandoned in this millenial era. It is unfortunate if the show just disappear. Exen trough this art provides a lot of knowledge that can estabilish young generation character to be better. As a person born and raised in Java, emerged a sense of having an obligation to take part in perserving traditional arts. The creation of this art work takes in the figure of a slownman who consist of Semar, Gareng, Petruk and Bagong. The Puppet caracter is taken, because of the role in the world of puppetry is very large. The creation of this artwork visualizes snoppet of the clown. Storie into photographic artwork. Moreover, want to convey a moral message contained in the storie of clowns into photography artwork. The creation contain elemens that supporting as compatible as the topic raised. The elements combaineed with montage technique that proceeded using digital imaging and printed on photo paper, so the visual that served consistent to the hope. Abstract:

This article observes how the new understanding of art which was introduced at the end of the 1960s by pop art influenced groups was pursued and radicalised in the second half of the 1970s, in a period generally referred to as the weakening of the avant-garde. It focuses on the texts by Leonhard Lapin, promoting art as a means of creating a new living environment. Taking Lapin's text as a framework, the author analyses the intervention in the official exhibition of monumental art in 1976.

Abstract:

In the culture of Java, the wayang purwa (shadow play with leather puppets often dramatizing theme from Hindu epics) is important, central and sacral. Finally, many Javanese identify themselves to the characters in the wayang. The main factor is because the wayang is considered as the oldest of culture product, and also it can glorify the grandeur and the sacrality. The wayang sacrality can be found in ruwat act. The act in old treasure is ini some serat and suluk, consides that the act is not only a common story. But, the sacrality value that is glorified in Javanese culture, either in the wayang show or ruwatan, almost can not be found the presentation in Durga Umayi text, worked by YB Mangunwijaya. The are so many texts that have the• tendency to dig up the sacrality of wayang. This propane process has occurred not only to the characters of wayang that are considered as sacral's and guide's eyes only, but also in the essence of the plot and the value of the story. The Durga Umayi text seems that is presented to be comparable with the wayang disourse that has been built and established. In the text consists of desacralization ruwat act with some strategies, like blurring of binary opposition, reversal, and some other deconstruction strategy.

AbstractJudul artikel PPM Tematik ini adalah Menghidupkan Kesenian Ketoprak Di Desa Sanggrahan, Kecamatan Kranggan, Kabupaten Temanggung, Jawa Tengah yang memusatkan perhatiannya pada usaha menghidupkan kembali kesenian ketoprak yang pernah ada sebelumnya. Berpijak pada judul artikel di atas dengan mudah dapat ditangkap bahwa yang menjadi tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah mendiskripsikan usaha-usaha untuk menghidupkan kembali kesenian ketoprak yang pernah ada dan kini dalam keadaan mati suri. Adapun langkah yang ditempuh adalah mengadakan pelatihan untuk para pemain dan pengrawit, serta pembinaan dalam bidang cara-cara berorganisasi. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kualitas dan kuantitas pemain maupun pengrawit, naskah lakon, pelatih, dan waktu atau jaduwal latihan. Adapun materi latihan meliputi membaca naskah lakon, dialog (penguasaan vokabuler bahasa Jawa dan unggah-ungguh), bloking, actions, perang kombat, perang masal, dan make-up. Latihan dilakukan secara maraton, dan menghasilkan sebuah pertunjukan ketoprak dengan durasi waktu 2 jam dengan lakon Manunggal. Lakon disusun oleh Ki Legowo Cipto Karsono, Agus Joko Susilo, dan Rekryandrie Prabaningmas. Sesuai dengan keinginan masyarakat pendukungnya bahwa hasil latihan dipentaskan dalam acara perpisahan mahasiswa KKN dengan warga desa Sanggrahan yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 27 Agustus 2018.Kata kunci: eksistensi, ketoprak, Sanggrahan Temanggung. AbstractThe title of this Thematic dedication to community article is Reviving Ketoprak Art in Sanggrahan, Kranggan, Temanggung, Central Java, which focuses its attention on reviving ketoprak art that had existed before. Based on the title of the article above it can be easily captured that the purpose of writing this article is to describe efforts to revive the art of ketoprak that once existed. The steps taken are conducting training for players and players, as well as coaching in the field of ways to organize. The training is carried out by considering the quality and quantity of players as well as players, script manuscripts, coaches, and time or time of training. The training material includes reading script, dialogue (mastering Javanese vocabulary and uploading), blocking, actions, kombat war, mass warfare, and make-up. The training was conducted in a marathon, and resulted in a ketoprak show with a duration of 2 hours with the Manunggal play. The play was composed by Ki Legowo Cipto Karsono, Agus Joko Susilo, and Rekryandrie Prabaningmas. In accordance with the wishes of the supporting community that the results of the exercise were staged in the farewell program of Community Service Program (KKN) students and residents of Sanggrahan which was held on August 27, 2018.Keywords: existence, ketoprak, Sanggrahan Temanggung.

Abstract:

The objectives of this research are to find out the types of expressive speech act and the forms of expressive speech act in Mata NajwaTalkshow: Lakon Politik Republik Episode. It is interesting to analyze expressive speech since all the human beings are given a feeling by God and they tend to express their psychological feeling. Feeling is strictly related to expressive speech act. Kreidler and Frank’s theory about expressive speech act was used in this research .This research belongs to qualitative. Furthermore, the data of this research are the utterances containing expressive speech act in Mata Najwa Talkshow: Lakon Politik Republik Episode. In collecting the data, the researchers decide to use documentation technique. The four researchers analyze the data by identifyingand classifying the data into types and forms of expressive speech act. The results are 13 types of expressive speech act and 2 forms of expressive speech act are found in this research. The types are thanking, regretting, apologizing, praising, liking, disliking, approving, disapproving, condoling, criticizing, boasting, lamenting, blaming. The forms of expressive speech act found by the researchers are declarative and interrogative.

Abstract:

Chapter Three considers whether or not Antonio di Francesco di Jacopo di Lapo steered the commission to Francesco di Bartolomeo Alfei to fresco the ‘company chapel’. The terms ‘old’ and ‘new’ in company registers are analysed in an attempt to distinguish between different chapel spaces. The chapter shows how several sites and tituli were established over time and chapels with varying ease of access assumed different functions. Charting reconstruction work on the old hospital site against receipts in respect of the commission to Francesco di Bartolomeo Alfei, a case is developed in support of the hypothesis that the artist was employed to fresco the old hospital chapel. This stimulates further speculation that the brief was to reflect contemporary decorations in the hospital of Santa Maria della Scala.

Abstract:

Part Three focuses on the artist’s connections with the ‘frati minori’ in Siena and the reconstruction and refurbishment work carried out by the officials of the Fraternita di Santa Maria degli Angeli e Compagnia di San Francesco around the middle of the fifteenth century. Chapter One considers the history and background of the Franciscan fraternity, detailing its increasing importance following the death and canonisation of the Beato Bernardino Albizzeschi. Records about building work expanding the company’s old hospital (a structure initiated by Aldobrandino di Galgano Tolomei) are set against evidence of the role assumed by a second sponsor, Antonio di Francesco di Jacopo di Lapo; including that individual’s involvement in a commission to Giovanni di Paolo and Sano di Pietro to produce a new altarpiece for the confraternity.

Attempting to explain the delay between its completion in April 1446 and its delivery eighteen months later, it is suggested that the death of Antonio di Francesco di Jacopo di Lapo some time before December 1445 led to the altarpiece being displayed on a different site than that originally intended (the company’s upper-floor ‘church’ rather than the old ground-floor hospital chapel). Confraternal decorations and furnishings recorded in an inventory of the fraternity’s ‘church’ in 1452 offers support for the hypothesis that changes were made after that sponsor’s death: as does the altarpiece’s recorded iconography, which included references to the sponsor and a number of Franciscan lay religious (including the Beato Pietro Pettinaio).

Abstract High-temperature, oxidation-resistant, ceramic matrix composites (CMCs), with (La)-monazite (LaPO4) serving as a weakly bonded interphase, have been invented. Monazite is stable and phase compatible with several other ceramic oxides at temperatures to at least as high as I750°C in air. The chemical and morphological stability and debonding characteristics of monazite-alumina interfaces are examined at temperatures of 1400°C and 1600°C. CMCs are considered for many uses in engines, filters, etc. in attempts to wrest a few percent more useful energy from, oil, coal and gas. Previous ceramic composites have relied on carbon or boron nitride fiber coatings to prevent brittle failure and are thus severely limited by degradation in high temperature oxidizing environments.

A working definition of the classical drakōn is established: ‘a large snake and something more’, i.e. a snake with a supernatural quality or affinity, and often too with additional or exceptional physical or behavioural attributes. This model, which will serve as the baseline for the investigation, draws on the author’s two previous volumes on the subject, whilst new points of substance are made on, inter alia, the origin of the dragon’s beard and the form of Typhon. The principal dragon-fight traditions of myth are reviewed, those of the Dragon of Ares, Nemea, the Hesperides (Ladon) and Colchis, Python and the Hydra. The principal dragon-gods of cult are similarly surveyed: Asclepius, Zeus Meilichios, and Agathos Daimon. Note is made of six core narrative motifs, to be significant throughout the study: marauding, fieriness, pestilential breath, cave-lairs, water-sources, and generation from a corpse.

The NASA Lewis Research Center (LeRC) and the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) have developed a closely coupled computer simulation system that provides a one dimensional, high frequency inlet / engine numerical simulation for aircraft propulsion systems. The simulation system, operating under the LeRC-developed Application Portable Parallel Library (APPL), closely coupled a supersonic inlet with a gas turbine engine. The supersonic inlet was modeled using the Large Perturbation Inlet (LAPIN) computer code, and the gas turbine engine was modeled using the Aerodynamic Turbine Engine Code (ATEC). Both LAPIN and ATEC provide a one dimensional, compressible, time dependent flow solution by solving the one dimensional Euler equations for the conservation of mass, momentum, and energy. Source terms are used to model features such as bleed flows, turbomachinery component characteristics, and inlet subsonic spillage while unstarted. High frequency events, such as compressor surge and inlet unstart, can be simulated with a high degree of fidelity. The simulation system was exercised using a supersonic inlet with sixty percent of the supersonic area contraction occurring internally, and a GE J85-13 turbojet engine.

Abstract:

The primary research challenge lies in mitigating and measuring geographical and demographic biases in generative models, which is crucial for ensuring fairness in AI applications. Existing models trained on web-crawled datasets like LAION-400M often perpetuate harmful stereotypes and biases, especially concerning minority groups or less-represented regions. To address this, I proposed a framework called CIC (Culturally-aware Image Caption) to generate culturally-aware image captions. This framework leverages visual question answering (VQA) to extract cultural visual elements from images. It prompts both caption prompts and cultural visual elements to generate culturally-aware captions using large language models (LLMs). Human evaluations confirm the effectiveness of our approach in depicting cultural information accurately. Two key future directions are outlined. First, current image caption evaluation methods are inadequate for assessing culturally-aware captions, necessitating the development of new evaluation metrics leveraging cultural datasets and representations. Second, ethical considerations, particularly concerning stereotypes embedded in existing models, demand consensus and standards development through diverse cultural perspectives. Addressing these challenges is vital for the responsible deployment of AI technologies in diverse real-world contexts.

Aerospace components require structural materials that have superior mechanical properties and can withstand severe environmental conditions, such as ultra-high temperature, high pressure, or water vapor. Ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs), capable of maintaining excellent strength and fracture toughness at high temperatures are prime candidate materials for aerospace applications. This research effort investigates creep behavior of N610/LaPO4/Al2O3 composite consisting of a porous alumina matrix reinforced with Nextel 610 fibers coated with monazite in a symmetric cross-ply (0°/90°/0°/90°)s orientation. Tensile creep was examined at temperatures in the 900-1100°C range for creep stresses ranging from 40 to 150 MPa. At 900°C primary and secondary creep regimes were observed. At temperatures above 900°C, the composite exhibited primary, secondary and tertiary creep. Minimum creep rate was reached in all tests. Creep rates accelerated with increasing temperature and creep stress. Creep run-out was defined as 100 h at creep stress. At 900°C the run-out stress was 120 MPa. Monazite coating resulted in improved creep resistance at 900°C. Creep performance deteriorated rapidly at temperatures above 900°C.

Abstract:

One of the most perspective regions in terms of introduction for the conditions of the central part of Russia is North America. It is of particular interest because the geographical location of North America and the central part of Russia have similar climate and soils. Therefore, the probability of a good adaptation of North American plants in our conditions with the preservation of decorative properties will be high. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the results of the introduction of North American woody plants planted in public areas of the city Voronezh, and the selection of the most highly decorative resistant species among them. When analyzing the results of the introduction, it is important to determine the degree of adaptation of plants to new natural and climatic conditions. The researchers propose to determine the success of the introduction on several scales at the same time, which will allow taking into account the variety of options for the introduction process. For the analysis, we selected the most common introduction scales of P.I. Lapin and S.B. Sidneva, as well as I.A. Smirnov's perspective coefficient, modified by U.F. Kuchinskaya. As the conducted studies have shown, Quercus macrocarpa and Quercus imbricaria received the highest indicators for the complex of characteristics among the analyzed species, and, therefore, we can say that they are the most promising for use in urban landscaping. Acer saccharinum and Acer rubrum can also be considered promising.

Public participation is not only limited to direct movements such as demonstrations, the use of social media in the community has proven to be effective in escorting changes in government policies. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the "digital movement of opinion" on twitter social media through the hashtag "Percuma Lapor Polisi" in improving Indonesian Police services. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the data source of social media twitter on #percumalaporpolisi. The #Percumalaporpolisi movement is a form of public disillusionment through social media twitter, towards the services of the Indonesian Police for the period 1 February – 1 March 2022. The data analysis phase of this research uses the “Social Network Analysis” method, to identify the social structure and explain the position of the main or affected stakeholders. can be called a vital player. In analyzing the data, the author is assisted by using tools based on the Netray.id website. The results of data analysis and visualization show that there are social networks of several key actors in the spread of #Percumalaporpolisi. The main actor plays a role in driving public opinion through conflicting information on social and economic cases that are not in favor of the community. Stimulating opinion is considered very effective in creating public support through the #Percumalaporpolisi movement on social media. Indonesians people are quicker to support movements that are oriented towards violence and blasphemy. The #Percumalaporpolisi movement focuses on the issue of agrarian conflicts between Wadas Village Residents and the government involving the military and police officers and the issue of alleged blasphemy. The incident created a tremendous digital opinion movement on the social media platform twitter. Social media can play an important role in overseeing the policy process at the national level, through leading opinion on social media.

Abstract:

From the 1970s social and political changes in Australia and the burgeoning feminist movement were challenging established power relationships and hierarchies. This paper explores how in the 1980s groups of women architects actively took positions that were outside the established professional mainstream. A 1982 seminar at the University of Queensland galvanised women in Brisbane to form the Association of Women Architects, Town Planners and Landscape Architects. Formally founded the association was multi-disciplinary and not affiliated with the established bodies. Its aims included promoting women and working to reform the practice of these professions. While predominately made up of architects, the group never became part of the Royal Australian Institutes of Architects, it did inject itself into its activities, spectacularly sponsoring the Indian architect Revathi Kamath to speak at the 1984 RAIA. For five years the group was active organising talks, speakers, a newsletter and participating in Architecture Week. In 1984 an exhibition ‘Profile: Women in Architecture’ featured the work of 40 past and present women architects and students, including a profile of Queensland’s then oldest practitioner Beatrice Hutton. Sydney architect Eve Laron, the convenor of Constructive Women in Sydney opened the exhibition. There was an active interchange between Women in Architecture in Melbourne, Constructive Women, and the Queensland group, with architects such as Ann Keddie, Suzanne Dance and Barbara van den Broek speaking in Brisbane. While the focus of the group centred around women’s issues such as traditional prejudice, conflicting commitments and retraining, its architectural interests were not those of conventional practice. It explored and promoted the design of cities and buildings that were sensitive to users including women and children, design using natural materials and sustainability. While the group only existed for a short period, it advanced positions and perspectives that were outside the mainstream of architectural discourse and practice. Nearly 40 years on a new generation of women is leading the debate into the structural inequities in the architectural profession which are very similar to those tackled by women architects in the 1980s.

Tracking progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is critical to evaluate how far the water and sanitation sector is from achieving these targets, and to guarantee that the solutions and strategies implemented get everyone closer to them. But this is not a simple task. To truly assess collective progress towards achieving SDG 6 (and all other goals), it is fundamental to count on standardized measures that help track all types of access, their reliability, and their quality. Existing data tend to lack comparability across sources and locations because they rely on different definitions and categories. Samples are often not representative of all groups within the population. More developed areas are more likely to collect data, which results in the overrepresentation of groups that enjoy better services. Still in some areas and for some categories of information data is not available at all. In response to these challenges, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) partnered with the Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP) to gather nationally representative and comparable data in 18 countries in the region. The goal of this effort was to provide an initial outlook of the current landscape of water and sanitation services in the region, using two batteries of questions in the LAPOP questionnaire for the 2018-2019 wave. The main message that arises is that the Latin American and the Caribbean region faces a wide range of challenges, that vary both across and within countries. Some areas face the primary challenge of closing access gaps, while others display higher deficiency in service quality, such as continuity. The gaps in quality of services, in particular, are not clearly perceived by users. In general, levels of satisfaction with the services received is quite high among the population, much higher than warranted by the objective measures of service quality. This raises important issues for accountability in the sector. If users are mostly satisfied with the current state of affairs, it is unlikely they will pressure governments and utilities to improve service delivery. A more in-depth analysis is required to understand the reasons behind these opinions and possible ways to raise awareness.

As the measurement of public opinion and attitudes toward gender issues has gained increasing attention in gender policy and research, the accurate design, implementation, and analysis of survey data has become paramount. In this paper, we examine the impact of the gender of the interviewer on survey responses in Latin America and the Caribbean, both individually and in the aggregate, using data from the LAPOP surveys (2012-2018). We also present a formal model that illustrates how the gender of the interviewer may influence responses and derive an optimal adjustment in survey design and analysis to account for this bias. Our findings highlight the substantial influence of social norms on gender opinions, revealing that respondents are more likely to overestimate men's abilities in politics relative to women's and to accept domestic violence when interviewed by men rather than women. Two key actions emerge as a corollary: survey firms should always provide the gender of the interviewer in their data, and researchers should adjust for this bias in their analysis. Without implementing these recommended practices, survey data may not accurately reflect what individuals in the region think about gender issues, potentially skewing behaviors and public policy.
