Abstract:
Speaking about your research is a necessary skill in academia, and doing so can be anxiety inducing. However, as with many skills, practice makes perfect. Therefore, organising a talk series for you and your fellow PhD students to present research findings can be beneficial for all involved. Within this piece I discuss the benefits of setting up and running such a talk series, the practicalities involved, and some challenges you could encounter along with some ways to overcome these.

Abstract:
The uncontrolled condition of settlements on the banks of the river city of Banjarmasin has made the settlements of the river banks as slums. Almost all river banks in each kelurahan are categorized as slums so that the actual river banks can be assets of the city of Banjarmasin, on the contrary, it is a bad face for the city. The program and arranging of structural slums in the river bank settlements in Kelurahan Sungai Bilu have indeed been carried out, but basically, they have not been successfully managed completely. Identification of the characteristics of riverbank slum settlements needs to be done to find out the aspects and variables that affect the slum of riverbank settlements to then formulate an appropriate arranging concept and can be implemented in riverbank slum settlements in the study location. Data analysis in identifying the characteristics of riverbank slum settlements is by presenting tabulated data on the results of a statistical questionnaire completed with mapping and field documentation and through narrative exposure. The theory triangulation analysis is used to formulate the concept of arranging suitable riverbank slum settlements and can be carried out at the research location. The results were obtained for the characteristics of slum settlements and the concept of arranging slum areas in the river banks in Kelurahan Sungai Bilu are arranging in aspects of the function and form of residential building mass, arranging environmental infrastructure, arranging environmental utility systems, arranging public and social facilities, and arranging on non-physical aspects.

Abstract:
<p>This research aimed to discover a model of assessment that could measure kinesthetic intelligence in arranging a dance from several related variable, both direct variable and indirect variable. The research method used was a qualitative method using path analysis to determine the direct and indirect variable; therefore, the dominant variable that supported the measurement model of kinesthetic intelligence in arranging dance could be discovered. The population used was the students of the art of dance department and were chosen by using purposive sampling technique so that the kinesthetic intelligence could be well measured. The result of this research was that the correlation between the ability in perceiving movement and the ability in conveying movement was 3.8048. The correlation between the ability in perceiving movement and kinesthetic intelligence was 0.3137. The correlation between the ability in perceiving movement and arranging a dance was -0.3751. The correlation between conveying movement and kinesthetic intelligence was 0.1333. The correlation between conveying movement and arranging a dance was -0.2399. The correlation between kinesthetic intelligence and arranging a dance was 0.8529. These result proved that kinesthetic intelligence has significant influence to the ability in arranging a dance. It could be concluded that a smart assessment model of kinesthetic intelligence in arranging a dance that was needed should measure the kinesthetic intelligence first while the ability to perceive and convey movement became the supporting element to strengthen the kinesthetic intelligence in arranging a dance.</p>

Abstract:
This paper presents the study of problem situations and typical difficulties faced by the lectors of modern higher education in carrying out research activities. The most important objective of the university administration is to create favorable conditions for undertaking this activity, provide it with the necessary resources, including organizational, pedagogical, psychological, methodological, financial, and other support for lectors, who are actively engaged in scientific activities and demonstrate high performance in it. In the course of the study aimed at identifying typical difficulties encountered by university lectors in the process of research activities, more than 200 applications were recorded and differentiated by category of scientific and pedagogical workers: young scientists (teachers without a degree under the age of 30 (inclusive); teachers with a Ph.D. degree up to 35 years (inclusive); lectors who conduct initiative scientific work; and lectors who are executors and/ or managers of funded research projects. Cluster analysis allowed grouping the subjects of requests (typical problems) into several blocks: – problems of determining the ways and prospects for the development of research activities; – problems of lector competence; – socio-psychological problems. The practical signifi cance of the research lies in obtaining reliable and necessary information to plan the professional and personal development of a lector, solve organizational, methodological, resource, and other problems of managing research activities. Further research will experimentally verify the models proposed to support research activity and evaluate their effectiveness.

Abstract:
The article presents the main aspects of organisation, formation and management of a syndicate of banks in the syndicated lending market. A syndicated loan is provided to a borrower by two or more creditor banks on equal terms within one loan documentation package. This market has the following main characteristics: significant amounts of financing; transactions are organised and syndicated by the largest investment and commercial banks; standard legal documentation; centralisation of agency function. The syndication process is a key factor in a successful transaction in the syndicated lending market. The research objective is a structured description of the syndication business process in the credit market. The following tasks have been set and solved: 1) determining the optimal syndication schedule; 2) transactional and legal documents classification; 3) development of methods of risk management of the syndication process. The methodological basis is the process approach to the formation of a syndicate and the role distribution among the bank transaction participants (organisers, underwriters, bookrunners, agents). Based on the regulatory specifics of syndicated lending, legal documents of the process (mandate letter, confidentiality agreement, syndication letters) have been described. The optimal schedule has been proposed to implement a syndicated loan transaction. It includes five stages: 1) planning; 2) formation of a “senior” syndicate; 3) formation of a “common” syndicate; 4) management of the final structure of the syndicate; 5) legal closing of the transaction. Marketing materials (investment presentation, information memorandum) and key transaction activities (press releases publication and bank meeting) have been examined. Key risks of syndicated lending have been defined and described; they include market risk underwriting and funding. From a practical point of view, the article is of interest for representatives of the Russian commercial and investment banks and corporate borrowers who plan to attract corporate financing in the international syndicated lending market.
