Abstract:
Estimation by analogy (EBA) predicts effort for a new project by learning from the performance of former projects. This is done by aggregating effort information of similar projects from a given historical data set that contains projects, or objects in general, and attributes describing the objects. While this has been successful in general, existing research results have shown that a carefully selected subset, as well as weighting, of the attributes may improve the performance of the estimation methods. In order to improve the estimation accuracy of our former proposed EBA method AQUA, which supports data sets that have non-quantitative and missing values, an attribute weighting method using rough set analysis is proposed in this paper. AQUA is thus extended to AQUA+ by incorporating the proposed attribute weighting and selection method. Better prediction accuracy was obtained by AQUA+ compared to AQUA for five data sets. The proposed method for attribute weighting and selection is effective in that (1) it supports data sets that have non-quantitative and missing values; (2) it supports attribute selection as well as weighting, which are not supported simultaneously by other attribute selection methods; and (3) it helps AQUA+ to produce better performance.

Suhu permukaan laut merupakan salah satu parameter oseanografi yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan organisme di lautan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran suhu permukaan laut dengan menggunakan citra satelit Aqua MODIS pada perairan Teluk Bone secara spasial dan temporal. Data yang digunakan yaitu data suhu permukaan laut bulanan April 2018-Maret 2019 yang diperoleh dari sensor satelit Aqua MODIS level-3 yang diunduh dari NASA (OCEAN COLOR atau link http://modis.gfsc.nasa.gov/data kemudian pengolahan data citra dilakukan menggunakan software SeaDas. Hasil dari data citra sebaran suhu permukaan laut tertinggi pada Mei 2018 berkisar antara 29,13-32,00oC terletak di perairan Palopo dan suhu permukaan laut terendah berada pada bulan Maret 2019 berkisar antara 27,10-30,60oC. terletak di perairan Bulukumba.Kata kunci: Teluk Bone, satelit Aqua MODIS, suhu permukaan laut.

Abstract Conventional oil-in-water analyzers used by waterworks have hydrocarbon detection limits at mg/L levels and do not identify the type of oil compounds. The objectives of this study were to evaluate a more sensitive optical instrument and the analysis method to (1) determine the signature excitation and emission matrixs of each type of oil (such as diesel, heavy oil, gasoline and kerosene) or their indicator organic compounds and enter them into the instrument's software library and (2) test out the effectiveness of the instrument in detecting the above-mentioned oil in local waterworks’ source and treated water. The patented simultaneous absorbance-transmittance excitation-emission matrix (A-TEEM) instrument method was used to identify and quantify low levels of organic contaminants present in a much higher background of other dissolved organic matter components in raw and treated water. Multivariate regression and machine learning techniques were applied and shown to have potential for alerting plant operators to organic contamination events.

Background: The term agility has increasingly received attention in Software Engineering, since there is a growing demand for executing and delivering software systems in a shorter and shor ter period of time. Agile software development proposes a rapid and iterative development aiming at meeting all of clients needs and, as a consequence, achieving good results throughout development process. Although this methodology is well-known, it is important to notice that its methods, even the ones which are the most quoted in the scientific literature, do not establish any detailed guidelines so that they can be effectively adopted. Some examples encompass details of activities performed, practices and procedures used and some piece of information which must be documented. However, there are not any case studies which show, practically, the whole pro cess of the adopted method. Aim: This work aimed at contributing in order to achieving improvements in quality of the agile processes by introducing an approach named AQUA - Quality Activities in Agile Context. This approach takes into account th e application of software quality assurance activities such as inspection, test and planning activities which may be used along with any agile method adopted, in the early stag es of requirements elicitation. Method: Only the most quoted methods in the literature were analyzed, from which a generic process was extracted besides a group of artifacts utilized by these methods, supporting, thereby, the definition process of the strategy proposed. Results: This approach was applied by using software requirements developed during a graduate course in Federal University of São Carlos, and the results give insights of its contribution to the improvement in process quality. Conclusion: Although this example had been small, the use of the proposed approach did not make it difficult th e application of the agile method adopted and presented benefits with regard to improvements of process quality.
Cenário: O termo agilidade vem adquirindo cada vez mais destaque na Engenharia de Software pela crescente necessidade de executar e entregar sistemas de software em prazos cada vez menores. A metodologia ágil de desenvolvimento de software propõe um desenvolvimento rápido e iterativo, buscando atender todas as necessidades do cliente e obter bons resultados durante o processo de desenvolvimento. Embora essa metodologia tenha alcançado destaque, verifica-se que seus métodos, mesmo os mais citados na literatura, não apresentam explicitamente diretrizes detalhadas para sua utilização. Algumas referências mencionam detalhes das atividades realizadas, das práticas utilizadas e das informações que devem ser registradas. No entanto, não se encontram estudos de caso ou exemplos de utilização, que mostrem, na prática, do início ao fim, o processo do método adotado. Objetivo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade dos processos ágeis, propondo a abordagem denominada AQUA Atividades de Qualidade no contexto Ágil. Essa abordagem envolve a aplicação de atividades de garantia de qualidade de software, como inspeção, teste e planejamento que podem ser utilizadas independentemente do método ágil adotado, nas fases iniciais de levantamento dos requisitos. Método: Foram estudados os métodos ágeis mais citados na literatura, a partir do que foi extraído um processo genérico que os caracteriza e um conjunto de artefatos utilizados por eles, o que deu apoio à definição da abordagem proposta. Resultados: A abordagem foi aplicada utilizando os requisitos de um sistema desenvolvido durante uma disciplina de pósgraduação da Universidade Federal de São Carlos, e os resultados dão indícios de sua contribuição para a melhoria da qualidade do processo. Conclusão: Embora o exemplo utilizado tenha sido pequeno, a utilização da abordagem não dificultou a utilização do método ágil em questão e mostrou pontos positivos para a melhoria da qualidade do processo.

In this study attempts are made to evaluate the water quality of an industrial city in India and confirm the adverse effects of this industrial cluster on groundwater. In India, the city Ghaziabad is a region of northern Indo-Genetic alluvium plain. Ghaziabad city is suffering from increasing industrial activities, which make the groundwater polluted and develop extreme pressure on groundwater resources of the city. To perceive the problem occurring from expansion of industrialization and increasing population and set some remedies may ensure the deep-rooted and lifelong sustainability of groundwater resources. Water quality determination is an important criterion to check the suitability of water for drinking and irrigation purpose. Physiochemical characteristics has been analysed of Sahibabad Site IV area and nearby areas in Ghaziabad. Groundwater samples from various locations have been collected and investigate to access the status of water quality in study area and its potability. Results are compared with drinking water standards; IS: 10500 along with discussion. Further it was found that some of the parameters are exceeding the standard limit of drinking water and some are not. Physiochemical parameters of groundwater studied which is used to determine correlation & regression analysis, water quality index, temporal variation and Collin’s ratio for assessing the drinking water quality of groundwater. Statistical analysis has been also considered to check the groundwater suitability and availability for irrigation purpose. In the present study, AQUA software also applied to the groundwater data and constructs the useful graphs for analyzing the hydrochemistry of water. The analysis shows high concentration of various parameters in study area viz. Salinity, EC, TDS, Chloride and Hardness with their cations and anions were showing harmful concentrations for drinking purpose as they overshoot the standard desirable limit for drinking purposes. TDS, EC and salinity are highly correlated and continuously increasing in the past years of studies. The critical concentrations of these parameters may adversely affect the human lives and deteriorate the quality of life.

Durante o desenvolvimento da sequência didática foi realizada uma pesquisa baseada na teoria das Situações Didáticas (Brousseau, 1996). Este produto educacional é destinado aos professores e estudantes do Ensino Médio para ensino e aprendizagem de Função Tangente. Trata-se de um produto didático validado experimentalmente que apresentou potencialidades quantitativas e qualitativas para o objetivo a que se destina: ensinar Função Tangente por meio de dois recursos didáticos: Prancha Trigonométrica e aplicativo Geogebra. A Prancha trigonométrica é aqui utilizada como Material Manipulável Concreto de modo que os estudantes podem manusear e visualizar o comportamento de funções trigonométricas. O aplicativo geogebra é adotado como Material Manipulável Virtual e trata-se de um software educacional gratuito que pode ser utilizado para diversos conteúdos de Matemática auxiliando no desenvolvimento da linguagem gráfica, geométrica e algébrica.

<p><span>Estaobra se propone abordar el impacto de las llamadas industrias creativas en la redefinición del campo cultural y las clases sociales. Consideramos aquí el término <em>industrias creativas</em> en un sentido amplio, es decir, no solo nos referimos a los bienes habituales vinculados al arte, como libros, música y cine, los cuales han producido el término, sino que ahora incluimos diseño, producción de <em>software,</em> bienes asociados a un nuevo modo de estar y bienes espirituales.</span></p><p><span>Si bien hay una vasta bibliografía sobre el tema en relación con clases y ciudades creativas, se suele poner el énfasis en cierta naturalización de la desigualdad social. Consideramos que lo creativo no es solo privativo de ciertas clases con viejos y nuevos capitales culturales, sino que aparece como un fenómeno de las sociedades globales también visible en prácticas culturalesde clases subalternas.</span></p><p><span>De este objetivo general se desprende el análisis de nuevas dinámicas laborales en la vida cotidiana a partir de ocupaciones y saberes emergentes en la esfera cultural del nuevo capitalismo. Asimismo, nos interesa revisar de qué manera estas nuevas formas de producir vida inciden en el surgimiento de nuevas formas del consumo cultural.</span></p>

La utilización de la estadística en el medio científico ha tomado sin duda un ritmo aceleradamente creciente, señalando una tendencia que, de forma más atenuada, es acompañada cotidianamente por el resto de las actividades del hombre. A tal extremo que tanto en economía, como en política, arte, periodismo, deporte, espectáculos, oficios, religiones y en todas las demás, se utilizan estimadores, rankings, porcentuales, frecuencias, tendencias y otras expresiones estadísticas del más diverso carácter y profundidad, generalmente acompañadas de los códigos que corresponden a cada actividad. Las geociencias no escapan a esta realidad, ya que se ha convertido en una herramienta de primer orden, facilitada en su empleo por el advenimiento de la informática. Es por lo tanto habitual que los geólogos la utilicen en sus tareas profesionales, de investigación o de gestión. Pero es también habitual que lo hagan para cubrir una necesidad y porque no, una “moda”, sin el pleno conocimiento del contexto de esta verdadera ciencia formal y de la mayor parte de su oferta. Es como adquirir un instrumental o un software y aplicarlo sin haber leído acabadamente su correspondiente manual. Es aquí donde la obra de la Dra. Alperin adquiere su mayor dimensión y apunta al enriquecimiento de la labor del geólogo, con el mayor conocimiento posible de la dimensión de las bases teóricas para llegar a aprovechar su utilidad, ya se trate de la componente descriptiva o la referencial. O también el caso de poblaciones relativamente estáticas o dinámicas, como el agua subterránea, donde por ejemplo, el análisis de series resulta básico para reconstruir los sucesos hidrológicos y poder formular pronósticos. Many interference phenomena that are seen in the natural world are characterized by alternating bands of pinkish-purple and aqua colors. These can be seen in oil films, soap bubbles, interference from scratches, supernumerary rainbows, glories, and other places where multiple orders of interference are present and the light source is broad band white light. It was such a clear manifestation of a common optical effect that it was very early on incorporated into computer simulation software. The effect also shows up in many basic optics experiments, such as on the edges of single-slit interference patterns. In this chapter, we will discuss the application of Python using the polynomial regression approach for weather forecasting. We will also evoke the role of Pearson correlation in modifying the trend of climate forecast. The weather data were processed via Aqua Crop by introducing daily climate observations. Accordingly, the software outputs are: reference evapotranspiration, maximum and minimum temperature, and precipitation. Additionally, we focused on the interference of the input data on the efficiency of predicting climate change scenarios. For that matter, we used this machine learning algorithm for two case studies, depending on the type of input data. As a result, we found that the outcome of polynomial regression was very sensitive to those input factors.

O relato de experiência aqui apresentado é resultado do projeto "A importância de Software no ensino da Matemática", que teve como proposta possibilitar aos alunos do Ensino Médio da Escola de Tempo Profª Lecita Fonseca Ramos por pelo meio do Programa Ciência na Escola – PCE-FAPEAM, um processo de investigação científica para o ensino da Matemática através de Software. Vivemos num mundo tecnológico, o mundo se revela cada vez mais num mundo informático, a era virtual. É nesse mundo que o jovem de hoje é chamados a viver, a percorrer seu caminho rumo à tecnológica. As novas tecnologias são um produto da sociedade e ao mesmo tempo dispõem de várias possibilidades de inovação. As tecnologias de informação e comunicação operam transformações revolucionarias essencialmente nos últimos vinte anos, em todas as atividades humanas. O relato de experiência apresenta os resultados obtidos durante o desenvolvimento do projeto: a pesquisa indica que 74,7% dos alunos sabiam o que é um software, que 21 alunos não sabiam o que era um software, isso representa 25,3% de alunos consultados. Dos 83 alunos 74 responderam que acham que o uso de software pode contribuir para o aprendizado da disciplina de matemática. Somente 9 alunos acham que não adianta fazer uso desse tipo de ferramenta didática.

Introdução: A preparação para a maternidade implica comumente em transformações na mulher que a preparam para receber o bebê e dele cuidar. Quando esse cuidado é interrompido por uma doença, como a Cardiopatia Congênita, e as vivências desse cuidar são relacionadas ao ambiente hospitalar, inúmeros sentimentos adversos emergem nessa mãe e no seu maternar durante o internamento. Objetivo: Descrever as principais demandas e expectativas maternas no enfrentamento da Cardiopatia Congênita e da hospitalização. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, obtido através de rodas de conversas com mães de bebês internados após cirurgia cardíaca, no período de fevereiro a junho de 2021. Os discursos maternos foram organizados e analisados com o software IRaMuTeQ, sendo descrito aqui uma das classes encontradas. Resultados: Os discursos maternos relacionados a cardiopatia congênita evidenciaram dois subcorpus, sendo abordado aqui: Vivências da díade mãe-bebê advindas do adoecimento e da internação hospitalar, que revelou termos como: preocupação, UTI, expectativa, sair, entre outros, todos relacionados ao que esperar da doença e as expectativas maternas em relação ao futuro do filho após a cirurgia cardíaca. Discussão: Os discursos maternos revelaram a necessidade de um olhar humanizado a mãe que aguarda a recuperação do filho após a cirurgia cardíaca. As rodas de conversa, estratégia de diagnóstico utilizadas no estudo, mostraram-se espaço apropriado para orientações e ações em saúde junto a esse público. Conclusão: O apoio e as capacitações às mães de bebês com cardiopatia são essenciais tendo em vista que minimizam estressores relacionados ao ambiente hospitalar e anseios maternos sobre o desenvolvimento do bebê após a alta. Além disso, essas ações podem auxiliar na inserção da mãe como peça fundamental no cuidado e tratamento do filho, baseando o cuidado na vinculação e afeto, mesmo em ambiente hospitalar, influenciando positivamente na melhoria da qualidade de vida materna.

Pensando em trazer uma maior acessibilidade aos serviços médicos foi criado a MEDIWAY, um WEB Service que tem o objetivo de fornecer informações confiáveis sobre saúde. Nesse artigo apresenta-se um Back End da plataforma MEDIWAY sendo detalhado também a construção de BACK-END com API-REST utilizando o ecossistema Spring, e permitindo que o sistema se dívida de acordo com os seus recursos e seja aplicado em outros sistemas. Primeira parte do artigo temos uma fundamentação teórica resumindo as funções e métodos de cada parte do sistema, logo no capítulo seguinte temos o estudo de como foi desenvolvido e como será consumido essa API. Todas as informações adquiridas para elaboração deste trabalho, se deram através de buscas bibliográfica em trabalhos acadêmicos já publicados. Portanto aqui será descrito desde as características da arquitetura de desenvolvimento, a arquitetura REST. Observando várias tendências (por exemplo, suporte JSON generalizado, documentação gerada por software), constatou-se resultados que podem ajudar os profissionais a desenvolver diretrizes e padrões para projetar serviços de maior qualidade e também entender as deficiências nos serviços atualmente implantados na área. Este trabalho, refere-se a um relato sobre a experiência, na disciplina de Biologia Básica do curso de odontologia numa universidade pública no sudoeste da Bahia, no contexto do projeto de pesquisa intitulado: cooperação e processos de tomada de consciência na formação do estudante crítico, reflexivo e autônomo . O objetivo foi analisar os impactos dos seminários, juntamente com a construção de mapas conceituais utilizando o software Cmap Tools na tomada de consciência dos alunos. Nessa perspectiva, buscou-se aporte na Epistemologia Genética. Valorizamos o trabalho em grupo (seminários) e a construção de mapas conceituais. Nos grupos, a cooperação mediada pelo professor e pelas monitoras, impactaram na construção de conceitos e no desenvolvimento da autonomia. Nesse processo, essa construção ocorre pela capacidade de pensar, de refletir e de tomar consciência – que foram evidenciadas na construção de diferentes mapas conceituais e sua verbalização e nas apresentações dos seminários. A ação aqui foi uma ação mental, uma cooperação que permitiu que os sujeitos fossem inferindo, e, desta forma, estabelecendo relações, até uma estruturação do pensamento. Assim pudemos constatar uma aprendizagem significativa, onde os sujeitos avançam de i) uma representação pré-conceitual, com domínio do pensamento transdutivo; ii) para uma representação conceitual, com compreensão da totalidade que ele conseguiu construir. Entretanto, vale ressaltar que entre uma representação pré-conceitual e uma representação conceitual existem diferentes níveis de compreensão.

Abstract:
The Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) is a hyperspectral instrument with 2378 channels. It is a part of the Aqua space platform equipment. It registers outgoing longwave radiation in the IR-band from 3.74 to 15.4 microns. To correctly retrieve the atmospheric profiles in the presence of cloud structures, AIRS measurement processing scheme uses data from the 15-channel AMSU-A microwave instrument, which is also installed on Aqua. The paper proposes a technology for synthesizing the readings of AMSU-A, that failed in the fall of 2015, by using observations from the 22-channel radiometer of the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) installed on Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20 satellites. These platforms were launched in 2011 and 2018, respectively. The transition between the coordinate grids of the two instruments was implemented by the “resample” software library, which transferred the radiance temperature values obtained by ATMS radiometer to the AMSU-A irregular measurement grid by means of a Gaussian function. The method was tested for the Aqua and Suomi-NPP neighboring orbits of 2015, when AMSU-A was still operating normally. It is established that the root-mean-square deviation of the radiance temperature values during the transferring of ATMS data to the AMSU-A coordinate grid does not exceed 1%, and the correlation coefficient is 0.98. Using the synthesized AMSU-A readings, reconstructions of the parameters of the atmosphere and the underlying surface were carried out. The analysis of the obtained results showed the suitability of the proposed method of replacing the microwave data from AMSU by the data from ATMS instruments. It should be noted that in the case of a rapidly changing atmosphere, for example, with a strong wind, the use of ATMS observations is possible only if the difference in the passage time of the two satellites does not exceed 10–15 minutes.

In the water-polo game, acyclic movements are predominant, but during a match, the swimming technique, the covered distances and the swimming intensity are different, which indicates that a water-polo player must train with all three types of effort (aerobic, anaerobic lactacid and anaerobic alactacid ones). Hypothesis of the research: knowing in real time the heart rate (HR) values during the training sessions allows the water-polo coaches to efficiently manage the effort, in order to reach the objectives established. To validate this hypothesis, the following methods were used: test method, graphical method, statistical-mathematical method, etc. The test was administered to 4 athletes and consisted of freestyle swimming 3x (4x100m), with a 10-second break between repetitions and 5 minutes between series. Heart rate is monitored by means of the HOSAND GT.a telemetry system, which allows visualization of the group or individual sports performance and analysis of the HR curve and of the effort intensity within a training session. Hosand GT.a comprises: the TX200 transmitter wore by the athlete, together with a standard belt which measures the heart rate, the RX200 receiver, the SX200 box for synchronization and the SW200 software. Athlete 1 starts with a HR of 94 beats/min, at the end of the warm-up the HR is 179 beats/min, after the first series the HR reaches 195 beats/min, after the second series the HR reaches 197 beats/min and after the third series it attains 196 beats/min, which corresponds to a work intensity close to 90%. HOSAND GT.a offers a personalized training and, at the same time, a monitoring in real time of the training, the heart rate contributing professionally to the improvement of the coached athlete's or team's performance. Analyzing the data, the hypothesis has been validated and the research meets the interest of the Romanian Water-Polo Federation.

Although several studies are conducted to analyze the VIV characteristics of risers, the results of amalgamation of multiple parameters and also the relative significance of every parameter on the risers’ VIV characteristics have seldom been considered. Vortex elicited vibration is one of the main causes of the fatigue damage of the riser. In deep sea atmosphere currents sometimes vary in magnitude and direction with depth, thereby causing the likelihood of exciting multiple modes of the riser vibration because of VIV. Vortex elicited vibration analysis has been carried out of a long marine riser for different probable sea locations. To boost the understanding of deepwater environments, the behavior of a composite riser under these forces is investigated. 3D nonlinear dynamic analysis of riser is obtained in time domain using finite part software package ABAQUS/Aqua. The response histories thus obtained are utilized for fatigue safety analyses of the riser. Uncertainty modeling, particularly of crack growth parameters, is undertaken by means of the bi-linear crack growth relationship. Results concerning fatigue safety and crack size evolution are given using Monte Carlo Simulation. The bi-linear crack growth models are found to result in to higher fatigue life estimation. Sensitivity behavior pertinent to limit state adopted has also been investigated.

They are formed out of three basic types of configuration namely, free hanging, “lazy-wave (SWLR)” riser. Risers are subjected to varied static, quasi-static and dynamic forces. For the safety of design, the behavior of the riser under these forces is thoroughly investigated. 3D Nonlinear dynamic analysis of riser is obtained in the time domain using finite element software package ABAQUS/Aqua. The response histories so obtained are employed for the study of fatigue reliability analyses of riser. It is based on a bi-linear relationship to model fatigue crack growth and incorporates a failure criterion to describe the interaction between fracture and plastic collapse. Uncertainty modeling, especially of fatigue crack growth parameters, is undertaken using bi-linear crack growth relationship. Results pertaining to fatigue reliability and fatigue crack size evolution are presented using Monte Carlo Simulation. The bi-linear crack growth models are found to lead to higher fatigue life estimation. Sensitivity behavior pertinent to limit state adopted has been thoroughly investigated. These findings implicate inspection schemes for components of the marine structures to ensure minimization of the surprises due to wide scatter of the fatigue phenomenon in marine environment.
