Variable rate turbo codes are used to improve the power efficiency of 16- and 32-APSK. We discuss
compensation techniques for power amplifier nonlinearities. Simulation results show the improved
spectral efficiency of this modulation scheme over those currently defined in telemetry standards.

It is shown that the Cramér-Rao Bound (CRB) is a function of the training sequence, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and the pulse shape. We also compute APSK training sequences of different lengths that minimize the CRB for each of the parameters.

This paper presents the performance of capacity-approaching low-density parity check (LDPC) coded amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) over aeronautical telemetry channels. We show the bit-error rate results for code-rates of 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, and 4/5 with 16 and 32 point constellations. Results are presented and compared between an optimal and sub-optimal reduced-complexity demodulating system. We also compare the results with SOQPSK-TG under similar channel conditions and provide an estimate of backoff needed for implemention with power amplifiers.

This paper investigates the application of 16-APSK modulation to aeronautical mobile telemetry. The peak-to-average power ratio vs. code rate tradeoff is mapped to an optimization problem involving spectral efficiency and the constellation parameters. The optimization results produce a theoretically optimum solution that is 3.95 times more spectrally efficient as uncoded SOQPSK-TG. When implementation losses and the available IRIG 106 LDPC code rates are factored in, the advantage drops to 3.20 times the spectral efficiency of SOQPSK-TG.

In this paper, with the aid of mutual information and generalized mutual information (GMI) capacity analyses, it is shown that the geometrically shaped APSK that mimics an optimal Gaussian distribution with equiprobable signaling together with the corresponding gray-mapping rules can approach the Shannon limit closer than conventional quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) at certain range of FEC overhead for both 16-APSK and 64-APSK. The field programmable gate array (FPGA) based LDPC-coded APSK emulation is conducted on block interleaver-based and bit interleaver-based systems; the results verify a significant improvement in hardware efficient bit interleaver-based systems. In bit interleaver-based emulation, the LDPC-coded 64-APSK outperforms 64-QAM, in terms of symbol signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), by 0.1 dB, 0.2 dB, and 0.3 dB at spectral efficiencies of 4.8, 4.5, and 4.2 b/s/Hz, respectively. It is found by emulation that LDPC-coded 64-APSK for spectral efficiencies of 4.8, 4.5, and 4.2 b/s/Hz is 1.6 dB, 1.7 dB, and 2.2 dB away from the GMI capacity. (C) 2017 Optical Society of America

Los accidentes causan lesiones traumáticas y discapacidades inesperadas. En nuestro país, los accidentes viales, siguen siendo la primera causa de muerte por debajo de los 40 años de edad y la tercera causa para cualquier edad, siendo las dos primeras, las enfermedades cardiovasculares y el cáncer. El manejo y la asistencia del politraumatizado son descritos en orden secuencial con el propósito de clarificar conductas, esto no significa que no se puedan realizar varios actos simultáneamente. Así por ejemplo, mientras se evalúa al paciente desde el punto de vista respiratorio, circulatorio y neurológico, se puede indagar la historia y todos los eventos relacionados al accidente. El enfermero debe saber la sistemática diagnóstica del trauma e integrar sus conocimientos. El personal pre hospitalario y/o quien presta los primeros auxilios, en éste caso los enfermeros de atención primaria de salud (APS), es un componente importante en la historia del paciente, para evitar lesiones, secuelas y la muerte. Los centros de primer nivel de atención deberían tener un protocolo para el manejo de pacientes politraumatizados, lo que permitiría, que cuando se produce un accidente éste sea manejado de igual manera por el personal que se encuentra trabajando en ese momento, si no se cuenta con éste, en ocasiones lleva a la perdida de valiosos minutos, que son claves para la vida del paciente. Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar si los conocimientos y técnicas que aplican los enfermeros que trabajan en el Área Sanitaria de Tunuyán en atención y o manejo de pacientes politraumatizados guardan relación con los protocolos existentes en emergencia durante el segundo semestre del año 2016.<br>Fil: Sosa, Marcelo E.. Nous proposons dans le cadre de cette thèse, un système qui permet de transformer un programme en une spécification équivalente. Nous supposons que le programme à transformer est récursif et qu'il se présente sous forme d'un ensemble de règles. Chaque règle du programme représente un cas particulier de décomposition des données du programme et représente donc un fragment de programme. Un programme peut faire appel à des sous-programmes. Le but de la méthode est de trouver la spécification formelle du problème résolu par le programme. Il s'agit alors de procéder à l'analyse du programme, règle par règle, pour essayer de généraliser l'ensemble des règles définissant le programme. Cette généralisation qui doit représenter la spécification recherchée est faite à l'aide d'une base de connaissances définissant la spécification complète du domaine des données du programme. La base de connaissances est donnée sous forme d'un système de réécriture complet comprenant les différentes définitions d'opérateurs liées aux types de données utilisés par le programme grâce à la définition de leurs types abstraits correspondants. La spécification ainsi obtenue est définie par une conjonction de prédicats et exprime ainsi les relations entre les variables du programme. Elle permet de comprendre de façon claire et précise ce que fait le programme.

In recent years, the performance of scientific CMOS active pixel sensors has been improved to the point that it is now approaching that of the current silicon sensor of choice, CCDs. For some applications, CMOS APSs is believed to present significant advantages over CCDs, such as improved radiation hardness. In this work, the effect of radiation damage on a ‘baseline’ commercial APS, e2v technologies’ Jade APS, is characterised in response to gamma, proton and heavy ion irradiation. Specific performance problems encountered during this radiation characterisation, such as dark current non-uniformity under gamma irradiation, random telegraph signals under proton irradiation, and single event effects under heavy ion irradiation are described and analyzed. The X-ray spectroscopic imaging performance of the device is measured and compared to the Ocean Colour Imager APS test array showing progress towards a high frame rate spectroscopic X-ray imager for space science. The implications of these results for using similar devices in space applications are considered. Furthermore, possible novel techniques for measuring inter-pixel responsivity non-uniformity, heavy ion detection and spectroscopy, and measuring the dynamics of radiation-induced trap formation are discussed.

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal apresentar uma análise
sobre as funcionalidades existentes nos aplicativos de planejamento avançado,
os chamados Advanced Planning Systems (APS) e os ganhos obtidos pelas
empresas com a implementação desses aplicativos. Para realizar tal análise foi
feita uma revisão bibliográfica visando estudar e apresentar os conceitos dos
aplicativos para o gerenciamento da cadeia de suprimentos e dos aplicativos de
planejamento avançado, bem como apresentar o mercado atual para esses
aplicativos. O sistema APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer), da empresa
alemã SAP, foi o escolhido para a exemplificação de aplicativos de planejamento
avançado. Por meio da realização de entrevistas em duas empresas que utilizam
o APO e com o auxílio de um questionário semi-estruturado foi possível uma
análise de como essas empresas estão utilizando esse sistema. Foi possível
observar o que levou as empresas a implementarem um aplicativo de
planejamento avançado, as mudanças ocorridas nos diversos processos e os
ganhos obtidos com a implementação.<br>The purpose of this document is presenting the existing
functionalities of the advanced planning software, the so
called Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and the benefits
obtained by the companies with the implementation of these
systems. In order to accomplish such analysis, a
bibliographic research was made to study and present the
concepts of the supply chain management applications and
advanced planning systems, as well as present the current
market for these applications. The APO (Advanced Planner
and Optimizer) system of the German company SAP was chosen
for the exemplification of the advanced planning systems.
Based on interviews performed at two companies, which made
use of the APO and with the aid of a semi-structured form
it was possible to understand how these companies are
utilizing this system. It was also possible to observe what
led the companies to implement an advanced planning system,
the changes that occurred in the various processes and the
benefits obtained with the implementation.

O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de avaliar os riscos potenciais apresentados pelos incidentes em reatores nucleares de pesquisa. Para o desenvolvimento do trabalho, duas bases de dados do Organismo Internacional de Energia Atômica, OIEA, foram usadas, o Incident Report System for Research Reactor e Research Reactor Data Base. Para este tipo de avaliação fez-se uso de Análise Probabilística de Segurança (APS), dentro de um limite de confiança de 90% e, Análise de Probabilidades determinística (APD). Para obtenção dos resultados dos cálculos de probabilidades por APS, utilizou-se a teoria e as equações sugeridas em documento da IAEA TECDOC - 636. O desenvolvimento dos cálculos das probabilidades por APS utilizou-se o Programa Scilab versão 5.1.1, de livre acesso, executável nas plataformas do Windows, Linux. Um programa específico para obter os resultados das probabilidades foi desenvolvido dentro do programa principal Scilab 5.1.1., para duas distribuições Fischer e Chi-quadrado, ambas no limite de confiança de 90%. Fazendo uso das equações de Sordi e do programa Origin 6.0, foram obtidas as doses máximas admissíveis relacionadas às probabilidades que satisfazem os limites de riscos estabelecidos pela Comissão Internacional de Proteção Radiológica, CIPR e, pode-se também obter estas doses máximas graficamente com a figura 1 resultante dos cálculos de probabilidades x doses máximas admissíveis. Verificou-se que a confiabilidade nos resultados das probabilidades está relacionada com a experiência operacional (reator x ano e fração) e, que quanto maior ela for, maior é a confiabilidade no resultado. Finalizando, sugere-se uma lista de futuros trabalhos que complementam este.<br>This study aims to evaluate the potential risks submitted by the incidents in nuclear research reactors. For its development, two databases of the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, were used, the Incident Report System for Research Reactor and Research Reactor Data Base. For this type of assessment was used the Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA), within a confidence level of 90% and the Deterministic Probability Analysis (DPA). To obtain the results of calculations of probabilities for PSA, were used the theory and equations in the paper IAEA TECDOC - 636. The development of the calculations of probabilities for PSA was used the program Scilab version 5.1.1, free access, executable on Windows and Linux platforms. A specific program to get the results of probability was developed within the main program Scilab 5.1.1., for two distributions Fischer and Chi-square, both with the confidence level of 90%. Using the Sordi equations and Origin 6.0 program, were obtained the maximum admissible doses related to satisfy the risk limits established by the International Commission on Radiological Protection, ICRP, and were also obtained these maximum doses graphically figure1 resulting from the calculations of probabilities x maximum admissible doses. It was found that the reliability of the results of probability is related to the operational experience (reactor x year and fractions) and that the larger it is, greater the confidence in the outcome. Finally, a suggested list of future work to complement this paper was gathered.

This thesis focuses on the use of Advanced Planning System (APSs) in the tactical planning process. In addition, there is a special focus towards process industries. The overall aim is to find out if and how APSs can support the tactical planning processes and add value to the company. A discussion on APSs as such is also presented, as the general definition of APS is unclear. The study is based on three case studies, first a longitudinal case study at a single company, second a in-depth case study at the same company and last a multiple case study at four Scandinavian companies. The case descriptions provide answers to the overall purpose of the thesis, but they also contribute to the general knowledge concerning APSs, as they describe industrial use of these systems. The study reveals several improvements that companies have achieved by implementing APSs and it conclude that APSs can support the tactical planning process. The improvements are seen either as results of process changes needed to implement the APS or the APS itself. Among the improvements, centralizing, automatizing and streamlining of the tactical planning processes are three of the most prominent. But several other improvements are also found, for example improvements concerning the customer service level and inventory levels. Although several successful implementations, it is not uncommon that implementations projects fail, which is why companies need to be careful when deciding to invest in an APS. Factors found to be linked to success concerning APS implementations are discussed, with the APS’s fit to the company’s processes and existing systems along with promotional activities, either by a project champion or the top management, are found to be important.<br>ISCAPS<br>PIC-LI

O objetivo da pesquisa à avaliar a formaÃÃo mÃdica para a APS com base nas percepÃÃes dos egressos de medicina da UFC à luz das DCN e dos eixos do PrÃ-SaÃde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de carÃter avaliativo, com abordagem qualitativa que contemplou a anÃlise documental do projeto polÃtico pedagÃgico (PPP) do curso de medicina da UFC e coleta de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 10 mÃdicos egressos do curso, graduados entre 2003 e 2011, com atuaÃÃo na APS em Fortaleza. Essa pesquisa proporcionou um processo de reflexÃo-aÃÃo acerca das potencialidades e fragilidades no processo formativo dos recursos humanos para o SUS.<br>The Health System indicates the need to change the hegemonic practices in health, and promotes changes in the technical-assistance model that permeates health practices and training. Public politics have been developed aiming at reorienting the training of high level professionals and qualification of service professionals.The objective of the research is to evaluate medical training for PHC based on perceptions of medical graduates at the UFC in the light of DCN and the axes of the Pro-Health. It is an evaluative research study with a qualitative approach that included the documentary analysis of the political pedagogical project (PPP) of the medical course at UFC and semi-structured interviews with 10 medical graduates at the course, graduates between 2003 and 2011, acting at APS in Fortaleza. Stand out as the main findings: difficulties in integrating the basic cycle to the professional curriculum, the general competences of the DCN not included in the disciplines were Permanent Education and Administration and Management, need to the PPP update the content of their disciplines, IES tried to structuring PPP in accordance with the recommendations of the DCN, is need to adapt the pedagogy of teachers in the ABS module, balance the ABS module with the highest number of teachers and tutors with expertise in family medicine, training for preceptors doctors, the practice at SF and at the territory as powerful transformative training, experiences in diverse practice settings and complementary activities had added to the graduates the skills to work in the APS, critical training and aligned to the integrality paradigm, weaknesses in the integration Teaching-service, Permanent education activities in health services disconnected from the needs of professionals and the community. This research provided a process of reflection-action about the strengths and weaknesses in the training process of human resources for SUS.

orientados para a gestão da produção, em especial os sistemas Advanced
Planning Systems (APS), Sistemas Avançados de Planeamento e
Programação, destinados ao planeamento e optimização da produção em
organizações industriais. Como alicerce desse trabalho, é apresentada uma
revisão bibliográfica, que descreve os conceitos principais relacionados com a
área da gestão da produção, nomeadamente com a fase do planeamento e
controlo da produção, e apresenta uma perspectiva histórica dos principais
tipos de sistemas de informação vocacionados para a área, discutindo os que
são utilizados actualmente no sector industrial.
A realização deste trabalho teve como base o período de estágio realizado
pelo autor na empresa Portuguesa Softi9, que se dedica ao desenvolvimento e
comercialização de sistemas de informação orientados para a gestão e
produção industrial.
O trabalho apresentado incide no Sistema de Planeamento e Optimização da
Produção Izaro APS® desenvolvido e comercializado pela Softi9, sendo
apresentada uma análise dos conceitos e funcionalidades oferecidos pela nova
versão do sistema e descritos alguns testes realizados no âmbito do
desenvolvimento da mesma.
ABSTRACT: This work aims to describe the types of information systems designed to
support production management, with special emphasis on the Advanced
Planning Systems (APS), which are systems designed to support production
planning in manufacturing companies. A literature survey is set up as the
groundwork for the study, which reviews the main concepts related with the
area of production management and production planning and control (PPC)
and provides an historical perspective of the main types of information systems
in the area, discussing the ones that are currently used in the industrial sector.
The work here described was based on the author’s training placement at the
Softi9 Portuguese company, that operates in the development and
commercialization of enterprise and production management information
systems.
The work here presented is focused on the Izaro APS® system, developed and
commercialized by Softi9, and presents an analysis of the concepts and
functionalities included in the new version of the system as well as the
description of some tests carried out in the scope of the development of this
version.

Thiago Santos de Souza. 2015.pdf: 816591 bytes, checksum: 932a1762a707d59c8c080d54e7e91e05 (MD5)<br>Nas últimas duas décadas, a Estratégia Saúde da Família evoluiu nos municípios e com a implantação dos Núcleos de Apoio à Saúde da Família (NASF) a atenção primária à saúde (APS) passou a contar com equipes que deveriam atuar em estreita parceria. Entretanto, ainda permanecem na literatura lacunas relacionadas à análise do processo de trabalho do NASF e suas relações técnicas e sociais. Esse estudo teve como objetivo analisar as práticas de saúde da equipe NASF, a fim de identificar se a inserção destes profissionais na APS reforça a fragmentação do trabalho em saúde ou fomenta a integração de suas práticas. Trata-se de um estudo de caso realizado em um município baiano, onde investigamos a equipe NASF e três EqSF. O estudo fundamenta-se nos referencias teóricos da teoria do processo de trabalho em saúde e dos modelos de atenção à saúde. Foram utilizadas como fontes de evidência documentos do município e da equipe NASF, informações registradas no diário de campo do pesquisador e realizadas 14 entrevistas semi-estruturadas envolvendo os integrantes do Núcleo de Apoio, médicas e enfermeiras de três EqSF, gestoras da atenção básica e uma profissional responsável por uma pesquisa de promoção à saúde, que os profissionais da APS do município participaram. A análise dos dados envolveu a técnica de triangulação de dados e fontes, e para compreensão das práticas foi utilizada uma matriz elaborada com a representação do “tipo ideal” de NASF por referência a cada modelo de atenção. Os resultados evidenciaram que a maioria dos profissionais nunca havia atuado na APS e não possuía formação em saúde coletiva. Apesar de terem sido identificados os principais agravos e problemas que acometiam a populaçãofoi evidente que a equipe NASF não enfatizou os determinantes sociais nas suas atividades.Os instrumentos de trabalho utilizados por estes profissionais foram relacionados à tecnologia material médica e ações de tecnologia sanitária. As atividades realizadas envolveram palestras, atendimentos, visitas e grupos nas unidades e instituições do território. Já as relações técnicas e sociais têm ocorrido com ausência de espaços compartilhados de decisões, circulação da informação limitada e existência de conflitos entre as equipes. Foi possível identificar que a equipe investigada se aproxima mais das características dos modelos hegemônicos. Destaca-se que a inserção dos profissionais do Núcleo de Apoio na APS tem possibilitado as EqSF do município ampliar suas atividades. Porém, existem desafios de diversas ordens que limitam as práticas e impõem entraves as relações técnicas e sociais tornando o processo de trabalho fragmentado. São necessárias outras pesquisas de natureza empírica que problematizem o trabalho da equipe NASF, aprofundem a compreensão das relações estabelecidas com as EqSF e avaliem a efetividade das suas atividades.

O setor de serviços não só facilita como possibilita as atividades de produção de bens, tanto do setor primário como secundário, possibilitando que às tecnologias de racionalização do trabalho e os empregos na indústria, no seu devido tempo, migrassem para o setor de serviços, ou seja, o que antes era somente aplicado na indústria passasse a ser utilizado nos serviços, optamos assim, pela linha de pesquisa de planejamento e controle da produção, sendo que neste cenário surgiu o pressuposto de aplicabilidade do conceito de capacidade finita e APS trazida da área de manufatura para a área de prestação de serviços.Esse trabalho apresenta aspectos conceituais de PCP, PMP, capacidade finita e APS, balanceamento e seqüenciamento, que posteriormente foi aplicado metodológicamente, através de um estudo de caso numa empresa prestadora de serviços financeiros.Os resultados obtidos foram o aumento de eficácia na gestão do negócio, devido às informações mais precisas e parametrizadas da capacidade de processamento do pedido de clientes, aumento da confiança das relações com clientes, sendo que esses reconhecem as mudanças visíveis de atendimento, dada a redução do tempo de atendimento de seus pedidos que caíram consideravelmente, em média, em 50% do tempo.

Políticas públicas têm sido desenvolvidas visando à reorientação da formação dos profissionais em saúde. O objetivo da pesquisa é avaliar a formação médica para a APS com base nas percepções dos egressos de medicina da UFC à luz das DCN e dos eixos do Pró-Saúde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter avaliativo, com abordagem qualitativa que contemplou a análise documental do projeto político pedagógico (PPP) do curso de medicina da UFC e coleta de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 10 médicos egressos do curso, graduados entre 2003 e 2011, com atuação na APS em Fortaleza. As entrevistas foram transcritas e analisadas em categorias de acordo com Minayo. Over 90% of forestry work is carried out today by contractors, therefore clear agreements between the client and the contractor it is of utmost importance. Contract Packages for work within the forest sector (APSE) is a collection contract templates that the industry jointly developed for this purpose. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how forest contractors do to keep themselves updated of the current laws and government regulations, which channels are available to accomplish this and what possible obstacles may occur. 20 interviews were conducted with contractors engaged in logging. The results show, among other things, the availability of and which channels most contractors use out of which aggravating circumstances exist and how strong they are perceived and what is expected of the client in this regard.

<p><em>Vårt syfte med denna studie var att göra en psykometrisk utvärdering av frågeformulären PSAS-C (Pre sleep arousal scale) och APSQ (Anxiety and preoccupation about sleep questionnaire). Teoretiska modeller har kommit fram till att kognitiv uppvarvning och förvrängd subjektiv perception av sömn skapar oro som kan bidra till utveckling av insomni. För att fånga upp oro vid insomni används idag två frågeformulär, PSAS-C och APSQ. Deltagare från en svensk longitudinell studie (n = 2333) ombads att svara på de två formulären. Båda skalorna visade på en god begreppsvaliditet och intern samstämmighet.</em><strong> </strong><em>Faktoranalyser, korrelationer och jämförelser av medelvärden visar att båda frågeformulären har goda psykometriska egenskaper och kan vara till stor nytta som mätinstrument för att fånga upp oro vid insomni.</em></p>

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior<br>In this master s thesis, a wireless communication scheme with a single transmit and single
receive antenna, SISO case, with use of the OFDM multicarrier technique and application
of LDPC coding was considered. It is well known that one of the biggest challenge related to
OFDM system refers to the reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) factor. Thus
this master s thesis proposes the use of 16-APSK and 16-QAM modulations by aiming to mitigate
the PAPR factor. It is also considered the use of LDPC codes to evaluate the performance
of bit error rate (BER) versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) performance for the 16-QAM, A16-
QAM and 16-APSK constellations. The LDPC codes were adopted since they are one of the
most effective methods of channel coding presented in the literature. Monte Carlo simulations
were performed in AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels in order to evaluate the system performance
in terms of BER × SNR and the PAPR factor analysis from the perspective of CCDF
curves. Results reveal that with the use of LDPC codes associated with the use of 16-APSK
constellations in multicarrier systems promotes BER performance gain and also reduction of
the PAPR factor.<br>Nesta dissertação foi considerado um esquema de comunicação sem fio, com uma antena
transmissora e uma antena receptora, caso SISO, com uso da técnica multiportadora OFDM
e aplicação de codificação LDPC. Sabe-se que um dos maiores desafios na utilização do sistema
OFDM refere-se à redução do fator razão de potência de pico e potência média (PAPR). Assim,
nesta dissertação de mestrado propõe-se o emprego de modulações 16-APSK e A16-QAM com
intuito de mitigar esse fator. Considera-se também o emprego de códigos LDPC para melhorar
o desempenho de taxa de erro de bit (BER) versus razão sinal-ruído (SNR) para as constelações
16-QAM, A16-QAM e 16-APSK. Os códigos LDPC foram adotados por serem um dos mais
eficazes métodos de codificação de canal apresentados na literatura. Foram realizadas simulações
do tipo Monte Carlo em canais AWGN e com desvanecimento do tipo Rayleigh para se
avaliar o desempenho do sistema em termos de curvas de BER × SNR e o fator PAPR sob a
perspectiva de curvas de CCDF. Os resultados revelam que o emprego de códigos LDPC associados
ao uso de constelacões 16-APSK em sistemas multiportadora promovem ganhos na taxa
de erros e redução no fator PAPR.

for the All Pairs Shortest Paths and Transitive Closure problems in graph. The implementations
are based on the main sequential algorithms and takes full advantage of the
highly multithreaded architecture of current manycore GPUs. Our solutions reduces the
communication between CPU and GPU, improves the Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs)
utilization, and makes intensive use of coalesced memory access to optimize graph data
access. The advantages of the proposed implementations are demonstrated for several
graphs randomly generated using the widely known graph library GTgraph. Graphs containing
thousands of vertices and different edges densities, varying from sparse to complete
graphs, were generated and used in the experiments. Our results confirm that GPU
implementations can be competitive even for graph algorithms whose memory accesses
and work distribution are both irregular and data-dependent.

(GPU) para os problemas da identificação dos caminhos mínimos entre todos os pares
de vértices e do fecho transitivo em um grafo. As implementações são baseadas nos
principais algoritmos sequenciais e tiram o máximo proveito da arquitetura multithreaded
das GPUs atuais. Nossa solução reduz a comunicação entre a Central Processing Unit
(CPU) e a GPU, melhora a utilização dos Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) e faz um
uso intensivo de acesso aglutinado em memória para otimizar o acesso de dados do
grafo. As vantagens dessas implementações propostas são demonstradas por vários grafos
gerados aleatoriamente utilizando a ferramenta GTgraph. Grafos contendo milhares de
vértices foram gerados e utilizados nos experimentos. Nossos resultados confirmam que
implementações baseadas em GPU podem ser viáveis mesmo para algoritmos de grafos
cujo acessos à memória e distribuição de trabalho são irregulares e causam dependência
de dados.

This study concerns the effects of public school redistricting on communities in Atlanta. It is based upon interviews with people in two neighborhoods which are part of the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) system directly affected by redistricting. All schools slated to close are located in low-income, minority areas and serve similar populations. Of the ten schools selected for closing, three were saved during the final APS board meeting in April 2012, and will remain open. I spoke with people who reside in a neighborhood where a local school is slated to close, as well as those in an area where a school was saved from closing. I asked informants why they felt their schools were identified for closure and how they responded to the threat of closing. planeamento/calendarização da produção ou APS (Advanced Planning
Systems). Para o efeito utilizou-se o software Izaro APS desenvolvido pela
empresa Softi9, Inovação Informática, Lda., na qual o estágio curricular foi
realizado.
Como fundamento para a análise, foi elaborada uma revisão bibliográfica
acerca dos sistemas de informação relacionados com a área da produção,
onde se abordou os di ferentes sistemas que contribuíram para a melhoria do
sector, como por exemplo os sistemas MRP e ERP.
Foi também conduzido um estudo, utilizando o software Izaro APS, a nível da
usabilidade da sua interface, com o intuito de identificar possíveis pontos de
melhoria.<br>The main objective of the following report is to present an analysis of the
functionalities existent in Advanced Planning systems or APS. The software
used for this purpose was Izaro APS. This software is developed by the
company Softi9, Informatics Innovation, Inc. It was in this company that the
internship was carried out.
As a fundament for the analysis, a bibliographic revision was made, regarding
the information systems connected to the production field, where was
discussed many different systems that contributed to the improvement of the
sector, as examples we have MRP and ERP systems.
It was also conducted a study using the software Izaro APS regarding its
interface usability, with the objective of identifying the main improvement
aspects.

Previous issue date: 2006<br>Resumo: Em varios sistemas de transmissão passa-faixa, uma recepção coerente satisfatória é dificil de ser alcancada. Para alguns destes sistemas, é comum supor que a rotaçãoo de fase introduzida pelo canal é constante durante um bloco de L simbolos e que ela varia de maneira independente de bloco a bloco. Este canal é denominado canal não-coerente de bloco. Investigamos a capacidade de um canal não-coerente de bloco utilizando a modulação M-APSK (do inglês, M-ary Amplitude Phase Shift Keying). Apresentamos a caracterização da distribuição de entrada que atinge a capacidade e obtivemos limitantes superiores e inferiores para a mesma.
Adicionalmente, desenvolvemos um algoritmo que simultaneamente fornece a distribuição de entrada e os parametros da modulação M-APSK que maximizam a informação mutua com recepção coerente. A investigação da capacidade mostrou que o aumento de L faz a capacidade não-coerente convergir para a coerente. Alem disso, o uso de codificação diferencial torna a convergência mais rapida. Motivados por este comportamento, apresentamos um esquema de codificação eficiente em faixa. Este esquema é formado pela concatenação serial de um codigo LDPC (do ingles, Low-Density Parity Check ), um entrela¸cador e um codificador diferencial. Para o esquema apresentado, o receptor iterativo é descrito por um grafo-fator. Os desempenhos do esquema com diferentes tamanhos de codigos LDPC são comparados<br>Abstract: Coherent reception is not possible for many bandpass transmission systems. In some of these systems, it is commonly assumed that the unknown carrier phase rotation is constant over a block of L symbols and it is independent from block to block. This channel is denominated blockwise noncoherent channel. The blockwise noncoherent channel capacity using M-ary Amplitude and Phase Shift Keying (M-APSK) modulation is investigated. The characterization of the input distribution achieving capacity is presented. Upper and lower bounds to this capacity are derived. In addition, an algorithm for simultaneously computing the input distribution and the M-APSK constellation parameters which maximizes the mutual information with coherent reception is developed. The investigation of the capacity showed that as L increases, the noncoherent capacity converges to the coherent one. Besides that, the use of differential encoding makes this convergence faster. Motivated by this fact, a bandwidth efficient coding scheme is presented. This scheme is composed of a serial concatenation of a Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) code, an interleaver, and a differential encoder. For this scheme, the iterative receiver is described by a factor graph. A atenção primária à saúde (APS) tem-se mostrado como proposição estratégica para sistemas de saúde no mundo. No caso brasileiro é alvo recente de investimento das políticas de saúde até como recurso reordenador do Sistema Único de Saúde, em termos de cobertura populacional e em termos de qualidade assistencial. No entanto, seu uso em documentos e propostas concretas de implantação denota diferentes interpretações do termo, que se considera produto de uma incompleta elaboração conceitual. Isto desencadeia diferentes respostas operacionais no setor saúde, gerando, ao contrário do esperado, heterogeneidades importantes de qualidade assistencial. Com o intuito de contribuir para a melhor compreensão e operação da APS, empreende-se um estudo de perspectiva histórica para identificar e contextualizar os diferentes significados que assume desde sua emergência até os anos 1994. Por meio do exame de documentos oficiais do governo brasileiro com propostas para o sistema de saúde, com ênfase nas Conferências Nacionais de Saúde, e de textos da produção intelectual no campo da Saúde Coletiva nesta temática, buscou-se por analise do conteúdo, o resgate das formulações de APS. Tendo como referência a teoria do trabalho em saúde, procurou-se examinar os conteúdos documentais em três dimensões: enunciação da política, proposição organizacional e definição dos processos de trabalho das práticas de saúde. Metodologicamente operou-se a mencionada análise segundo a história do conceito, definindo o conceito como o plano máximo de complexidade reflexiva e de capacidade explicativa na produção de conhecimento teórico. Para tal, hierarquizouse a construção desse conhecimento em termos da elaboração de idéias, noções e conceitos, nesta ordem. Delimitaram-se dois distintos períodos históricos: 1920 - 1978; 1978 - 1994, em razão da criação do termo APS em 1978, na Conferência de Alma-Ata. No primeiro encontraram-se idéias antecessoras da APS e no segundo, a construção da APS como noção, sendo que nas citadas três dimensões de exame dos textos, encontraram-se as maiores contribuições na política e na organização do sistema relativamente à definição dos processos de trabalho. Com isto aponta-se para a deficiente elaboração reflexiva acerca das práticas de saúde, o que equivale a dizer uma deficiência teórica do sistema de saúde sobretudo em relação a seus modelos tecnológicos e assistenciais, inclusive com grande diversidade conceitual desses últimos termos. Aponta-se por fim que, a partir de 1994, quando a APS torna-se questão central para o sistema de saúde, pode-se esperar um potencial maior de construção do conceito.<br>Attention given to PHC has been considered a strategic proposition for the health systems in the world. In Brazil it has recently been the target for political health investment and rearranger resource of the health system, in terms of populational coverage and in terms of assistance quality. Its use in documents and concrete implantation proposals denote different interpretations from the term which we consider to be the product of an incomplete conceptual elaboration. This triggers different operational responses in the health sector causing, as opposed to what was expected, important assistance quality heterogeneity. In order to contribute to a better comprehension and effectiveness of the PHC, we make a study of the historical perspectives to identify and put into context the different meanings it takes from its beginning until 1994.By examining official documents from the Brazilian Government with proposals for the health system with emphasis on National Health Conferences and intellectual production of the text in the field of collective health, we have searched through context analysis for the rescue of PHC formulation. Having as a reference the theory of work in the field of health, we tried to examine the contexts of the documents in three dimensions: Political enunciation, organizational proposition and a definition of the work process in the health area. Methodologically speaking, we operate the already mentioned analysis according to its concept s history, defining concept as the highest plan of reflexive complexity and ability to explain in the theoretical knowledge production. In order to do so, we have put the building of this knowledge in terms of ideas, notions and concepts, in this order. We have delimited two distinct historical periods: 1920 - 1978; 1978 - 1994, due to the creation of the term PHC in 1978 at the Alma-Ata Conference. In the first period we have found antecessor ideas of PHC and the in second one, the building up of the PHC as a notion. In the three dimensions of the text exams, we can find the biggest political contribution and in the organization of the system related to the definition of the work processes. With that we point the defective reflexive elaboration of health practices, in other words a theoretical deficiency of the health system, especially when related to its technological and assistance models, including a great conceptual diversity of these two last terms. It is pointed out that, from 1994 on, when PHC becomes the center issue for the health system, a bigger potential of building concept can be expected.

La historia de la enfermería en el desarrollo de los servicios sanitarios comunitarios, la convierten en una profesión líder en la atención de las personas. La enfermería de salud comunitaria es un componente necesario en la prestación de cuidados sanitarios para mejorar la salud de la población en general; constituye el mayor potencial al alcance de los países en desarrollo, para extender sus servicios sanitarios a la población más necesitada. El trabajo de la enfermería comunitaria se basa en la identificación de problemas y en la planificación de actividades de promoción de la salud, prevención de enfermedades y desarrollo de actividades educativas; priorizando a los grupos vulnerables identificados, las familias o los individuos, haciendo uso de todos los recursos disponibles en el sistema familiar. Situación que le permite ser dinámica y creativa a fin de suplir las necesidades de la sociedad, como proveedoras primarias en el cuidado a la salud. Se reconoce que el profesional de enfermería es un componente importante dentro de la estructura de la Atención Primaria de la Salud (APS), ya que al identificar las necesidades sanitarias de la comunidad y promover su participación activa, cumple con el objetivo de planificar, organizar, gestionar, ejecutar y evaluar los programas relacionados con la salud y el bienestar de la población, haciendo uso de sus habilidades de interacción interpersonal, no sólo con la comunidad, sino también, con los miembros del equipo de salud y otros sectores importantes, en pro de satisfacer las necesidades identificadas. En este contexto, es necesario evaluar el nivel de satisfacción o insatisfacción que experimentan las enfermeras/ros comunitarias en su trabajo, la cual estará condicionada por numerosos factores, tales como el ambiente físico donde trabajan, remuneración económica que perciben, la interrelación que ejercen con sus compañeros y jefes, el sentido de realización/logro, la posibilidad de aplicar y desarrollar nuevos conocimientos y asumir retos, entre otros. Computing technology has been getting more reliable and cheaper every year for the past several decades. Consequently, IoT devices have now become a part of medical technology. One example of this is a new open-source technology that has emerged for type-1 diabetes patients, which regulates the patients’ blood glucose levels. One component of this open-source system is AndroidAPS, a mobile application that manages and controls the system by communicating with the two other components: a blood glucose sensor and an insulin pump. Another component is Nightscout, a web application for monitoring T1D patients. Together they form the APS ecosystem that automatically i) reads blood glucose values, ii) syncs the data with Nightscout, iii) stores patient information into Nightscout database, iv) calculates optimal treatment plan, and v) regulates pump for the ideal insulin intake. The whole system bears several critical assets to guarantee patient health. In this thesis, the security of a representative APS ecosystem is studied. We found 5 critical vulnerabilities in the ecosystem: 1) an XSS vulnerability in the web application due to ineffective input sanitization which lead to stealing administrator password from browser cache, 2) highly sensitive patient data is open to public by default, 3) the web application login mechanism, where all system data is managed, is weak against password guessing attacks together with 4) insecure GET requests used for authentication, and lastly 5) any type of database hijack does not trigger any alarms for Nightscout. Successful attacks result in malicious values synchronized from Nightscout to tamper correct insulin delivery calculations. Possible attack scenarios, devised from existing vulnerabilities in this work, show how an attacker can physically harm their victims through their internet-connected insulin pump.<br>Datorteknik har blivit mer pålitlig och billigare varje år under de senaste decennierna. Följaktligen har IoT-enheter nu blivit en del av medicinsk teknik. Ett exempel på detta är en ny öppen källkodsteknik som har utvecklats för typ 1- diabetespatienter, som reglerar patienternas blodsockernivåer. En komponent i detta öppen källkodssystem är AndroidAPS, en mobilapplikation som hanterar och kontrollerar systemet genom att kommunicera med de två andra komponenterna: en blodsockersensor och en insulinpump. En annan komponent är Nightscout, en webbapplikation för övervakning av T1D-patienter. Tillsammans bildar de APSekosystemet som automatiskt i) läser blodsockervärden, ii) synkroniserar data med Nightscout, iii) lagrar patientinformation i Nightscout-databasen, iv) beräknar optimal behandlingsplan och v) reglerar pumpen för perfekt insulinintag. Hela systemet har flera kritiska tillgångar för att garantera patientens hälsa. I denna avhandling studeras säkerheten för ett representativt APS-ekosystem. Vi hittade 5 kritiska sårbarheter i ekosystemet: 1) en XSS-sårbarhet i webbapplikationen på grund av ineffektiv sanering av ingångar som leder till att stjäla administratörslösenord från webbläsarens cache, 2) mycket känsliga patientdata är öppna för allmänheten som standard, 3) webben applikationsinloggningsmekanism, där all systemdata hanteras, är svag mot gissningar av lösenord tillsammans med 4) osäkra GET-förfrågningar som används för autentisering, och slutligen 5) någon typ av databaskapning utlöser inga larm för Nightscout. Framgångsrika attacker resulterar i skadliga värden som synkroniseras från Nightscout för att manipulera korrekta insulinleveransberäkningar. Möjliga attackscenarier, utformade utifrån befintliga sårbarheter i detta arbete, visar hur en angripare fysiskt kan skada sina offer genom sin internetanslutna insulinpump.
