Saidi, Majdi. "Contribution à l'optimisation des systèmes hybrides de production énergétique à base de sources renouvelables." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Aix-Marseille, 2021. http://www.theses.fr/2021AIXM0627.
Full textThis thesis is a contribution to the optimal design of hybrid systems for energy production. The proposed work is organised in three parts. The first part is dedicated to an energy analysis at the level of the national electricity grid. The aim is to study the possibility of integrating sub-grids consisting of a set of producer-operators connected to the main grid. The aim is to strengthen the decentralisation of energy production, taking into account the specific needs and availability of renewable sources. To achieve this, the approach is to optimise the cost of the installation for the producer-operator and the subsidy rates provided by the supporting state, while avoiding financial speculation. The second part deals with the problem of sizing hybrid systems by optimal load adaptation, and the approach is carried out in two parts. In the first part, the load is modelled taking into account the specific constraints of the operation. Then, in the second part, an optimisation of the structure is carried out according to the available energy. To illustrate the relevance of the approach, an application to a concrete case of a company is performed. The third part is devoted to the specific case of a nomadic application. First, the different constraints characteristic of this type of application (energy security, design cost, etc.) are determined and the different optimisation problems associated with the specific objectives are defined. Then, a case study expressed as an optimisation problem of a multi-objective nature is stated. Finally, optimal solutions are identified through artificial intelligence tools and application

Full textThe market of portable electronic devices has been strongly expanding for the last ten years, and their energy consumption has been decreasing in parallel. So the concept of harvesting mechanical energy in human environment arouses a renewed interest. In this context, we designed and tested a prototype piezoelectric generator harvesting the mechanical energy of voluntary human movements, in order to supply devices consuming between 10 microwatts and 1 milliwatt. The generator consists of three stages : a mechanical application device (mad) which transforms the human movement into a high amplitude constraint ; the piezoelectric device (pd), the parallel association of identical pzt ceramic bars working in compression ; the harvesting system (hs), an electronic circuit that converts the electrical energy in a suitable form to the targeted application. On the one hand, we modelled the pd working in 33 or 31 mode, at very low frequencies compared to the resonance frequency of the pd. With this quasi-static model, we estimated the electrical power delivered for a given constraint. On the other hand, we designed and produced two experimental devices in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the mad principle. With the second prototype, the pd delivers 13. 2 microwatts to a 100 kiloohms load, for a 55 hz and 2 n constraint on each piezoceramic. At last, we conceived an harvesting system, which increases the part of mechanical energy converted in electrical energy. This circuit has been elaborated especially for the sp, whose impedance and current level are specific. Moreover, the use of low consumption components is essential, with the aim to make an autonomous generator

Full textMagnetoelectric materials (ME) are functional composite materials composed of piezoelectric and magnetostrictive phases that have the particularity of transforming magnetic energy into electrical energy through the mediation of mechanical energy. The ME effect can be characterized by a magnetoelectric coefficient (V/Oe). This particular property generates growing interests in the scientific research and more specifically in the application of new energy transducers, magnetic sensors or variable inductances. It is in this context that the L2E began since 2012 the development of multiphysics finite element codes to study the ME materials. This thesis is the development of a 3D model combining the existence models of piezoelectric and magnetostrictive for the investigation of ME behavior from three aspects: Modeling of laminate composite, taking into account the nonlinearity of magnetostrictive through a multiscale model and the effect of eddy currents in dynamic regime; Study of different ME composite structures and the influence of geometries parameters on the performance of this material; Application of the homogenization principle to analyze the magnetoelectric behavior of ME composites composed of granular nanoparticles type 0-3 or fiber composite type 1-3

Full textThis work deals with two different problems. The first problem is finding the best number of clusters in a set of points. We propose five methods which we compare with one another and with methods from the literature. Two of them,Secator and DPC produce good results on biological data, respectively on protein families and on genes' expression data. Secator is a rule finding the << elbow >> of the dissimilarity value curve produced by an ascending hierarchical method. The << elbow >> is found by clustering the dissimilarity values into two groups. DPC is based on a division test to decide if a group must be divided into two groups or not. This test compares the density of points inside the two groups and between them. If the first is significatively superior to the second then the group is divided. Another method is inspired by the BIC approximation of a mixture model likelihood. We propose an objective function to choose the best model which contains two terms, one is the model likelihood and the second depends on the percentage of misclassified points. The second problem is the decomposition of a protein into simple volumes. We have developped a heuristic to cut an object into subpieces using the skeleton of the object to find the regions presenting important curvature or pinches. Each subpiece is approximated by the smallest enclosing parallelepiped using two properties we have demonstrated. The developped program has been applied to protein structures to identify surface regions whose composition is biased

Full textThis work deals with the study of internal structure of acyclic automaton. Thus, we propose an algorithm to compute all subautomata of a given automaton. This study can be used in applications whose aim is to decompose a very large FSA into smaller ones, to discover frequently occurring data and to reduce memory consumption. The second part of our work is devoted to the application of our algorithm for compression and indexing of automata that represent electronic dictionaries. Also, we propose a compression algorithm to reduce the memory required to store the automata and to preserve an effective access to data. The main propositions are, on the one hand, the application of the direct acyclic word graph, initially dedicated for indexing text, to index the subautomata, and, on the other hand, heuristic to select the most interesting substructure to factorize. The best candidates to factorize must increase memory storage efficiency and reduce the size of the initial automaton

Full textThe problematic of this thesis concerns the statistical iterative 3D reconstruction of coronary tree from a very few number of coronary angiograms (5 images). During RX rotational angiographic exam, only projections corresponding to the same cardiac phase are selected in order to check the condition of space and time non-variability of the object to reconstruct (static reconstruction). The limited number of projections complicates the reconstruction, considered then as an illness inverse problem. The answer to a similar problem needs a regularization process. To do so, we choose baysian formalism considering the reconstruction as a random field maximizing the posterior probability (MAP), composed by quadratic likelihood terms (attached to data) and Gibbs prior (prior markovian based on a partial interpretation of the object to reconstruct). The MAP maximizing allowed us using a numerical optimization algorithm, to introduce a smoothing constraint and preserve the edges on the reconstruction while choosing wisely the potential functions associated to prior energy. In this paper, we have discussed in details the three components of efficient statistical reconstruction MAP, which are : 1- the construction of precise physical model of acquisition process; 2- the selection of an appropriate prior model; and 3- the definition of an efficient iterative optimization algorithm. This discussion lead us to propose two iterative algorithms MAP, MAP-MNR and MAP-ARTUR-GC, which we have tested and evaluated on realistic simulated data (Patient data from 64-slice CT)

Full textInsurers have been concerned about surrenders for a long time especially in Saving business, where huge sums are at stake. The emergence of the European directive Solvency II, which promotes the development of internal risk models (among which a complete unit is dedicated to surrender risk management), strengthens the necessity to deeply study and understand this risk. In this thesis we investigate the topics of segmenting and modeling surrenders in order to better know and take into account the main risk factors impacting policyholders’ decisions. We find that several complex aspects must be specifically dealt with to predict surrenders, in particular the heterogeneity of behaviours and their correlations as well as the context faced by the insured. Combining them, we develop a methodology that seems to provide good results on given business lines, and that moreover can be adapted for other products with little effort. However the model selection step suffers from a lack of parsimoniousness: we suggest to use another criteria based on a new estimator, and prove its consistant properties in the framework of mixtures of generalized linear models

Full textThe intrinsic properties of optical fibers like robustness, efficiency, beam quality, compactness and good thermal management can now compete with solid state lasers to develop high power laser sources. The applications of such sources include industry (machining, marking), defense (telemetry, lidar), and fundamental research. In this case, high intensity lasers are compulsory to produce the next generation of particles accelerators more efficient and more compact, both for fundamental research and its direct applications such as proton therapy. This work was done in the context of the ICAN project, which studies the feasibility of such sources. To overcome the limitations in terms of power of a single amplified fiber, an idea is to use several fiber lasers and to combine them coherently. To reach the ultra-high peak power and high average power requirements for these applications, the coherent beam combining of 10,000 fiber amplifiers has to be envisaged. The goal of the work is to develop a scheme of phase control scalable to a high number of combined fibers. Two schemes based on an interferometric phase measurement are realized in this work. The fist scheme, based on digital holography, permits a collective phase measurement and correction without calculation. The second scheme is based on an active phase control with individual phase modulators. This control requires an image processing algorithm and has a bandwidth compatible with the phase spectral noise of the amplifiers. The coherent combining of 16 fibers at 1kHz with a residual phase shift error of λ/60rms is achieved in this case. We use this second scheme to evaluate its scalability. We show that the coherent combining of 10,000 fibers using off-the-shelf components is already possible

Full textThis work deals with the 3D reconstruction of metal objects from a limited number of projections. The application is the nondestructive evaluation of welds from X-ray data. The information are few and of poor quality due to the in situ constraints and to constraints related to the type of objects and its faults. Reconstruction is then an ill-posed inverse problem. In order to obtain an accurate solution, it is regularised in the Bayesian framework. The selected estimator is the maximum a posteriori. It is also the value that minimises a penalised criterion. We make improvements to the existing method developed at EDF well suited particularly for the reconstruction of welds from radiographies. Modelling contribution involves original prior information concerning the object geometry, constraints of belonging to an interval. We also enhance modelling of the data by taking the blurring phenomenon into account. The 3D reconstructions we get using our method, from simulated and real data, validate these improvements. .

The first five ones use a cross method. They show the item's previous encounter and the number form impact on number agreement production. The sixth one is a longitudinal study. It examines the impact of the encounter frequency in time, the number form and the age of acquisition. This research shows that children use early instances retrieval for a written number agreement. As for adults, the number flexional morphology processing can be produced by children. In two ways. The first one is the implementation of rules, the second one is the instances direct retrieval

Full textWe present two contributions to the field of parallel programming. The first contribution is theoretical: we introduce SIPS analysis, a novel approach to estimate the number of synchronizations performed during the execution of a parallel algorithm.Based on the concept of logical clocks, it allows us: on one hand, to deliver new bounds for the number of synchronizations, in expectation; on the other hand, to design more efficient parallel programs by dynamic adaptation of the granularity. The second contribution is pragmatic: we present an efficient parallelization strategy for pseudorandom number generation, independent of the number of concurrent processes participating in a computation. As an alternative to the use of one sequential generator per process, we introduce a generic API called Par-R, which is designed and analyzed using SIPS.Its main characteristic is the use of a sequential generator that can perform a ``jump-ahead'' directly from one number to another on an arbitrary distance within the pseudorandom sequence. Thanks to SIPS, we show that, in expectation, within an execution scheduled by work stealing of a "very parallel" program (whose depth or critical path is subtle when compared to the work or number of operations), these operations are rare.Par-R is compared with the parallel pseudorandom number generator DotMix, written for the Cilk Plus dynamic multithreading platform. The theoretical overhead of Par-R compares favorably to DotMix's overhead, what is confirmed experimentally, while not requiring a fixed generator underneath

Full textThis manuscript is structured in two parts. The #rst part composed of Chapters 2to 4 deals with the problem of estimating the number of classes in a population withan application in ecology. The second part, corresponding to Chapter 5, concernsthe application of statistical methods to analyze fisheries data.In the first part, we consider a heterogeneous population split into several classes. From a sample, the numbers of observed individuals per class, also called abun-dances, are used to estimate the total number of classes in the population. In theliterature devoted to the number of classes estimation, methods based on a mix-ture of Poisson distributions seem to be the most effcient (see for example the workof Chao and Bunge (2002) in the parametric framework and that of Wang and Lind-say (2005) in a non-parametric framework). Applications of these approaches to realdata show that the distribution of abundances can be approximated by a convexdistribution. We propose a non-parametric approach to estimate the distribution ofabundances under the constraint of convexity. This constraint defines a theoreticalframework for estimating a discrete density. The problem of estimating the numberof classes is then tackled in two steps. We show on the one hand the existence and uniqueness of an estimator of adiscrete density under the constraint of convexity. Under this constraint, we provethat a discrete density can be written as a mixture of triangular distributions. Usingthe support reduction algorithm proposed by Groeneboom et al. (2008), we proposean exact algorithm to estimate the proportions in the mixture. On the other hand, the estimation procedure of a discrete convex density is usedto estimate the zero-truncated distribution of the observed abundance data. Thezero-truncated distribution estimate is then extended at zero to derive an estimateof the probability that a class is not observed. This extension is made so as tocancel the first component in the mixture of triangular distributions. An estimateof the total number of classes is obtained through a binomial model assuming thateach class appears in a sample by a Bernoulli trial. We show the convergence inlaw of the proposed estimator. On practical view, an application to real ecologicaldata is presented. The method is then compared to other concurrent methods usingsimulations. The second part presents the analysis of fisheries data collected on the Ouémériver in Benin. We propose a statistical approach for grouping species accordingto their temporal abundance profile, to estimate the stock of a species and theircatchability by artisanal fishing gears

Full textBrain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) are systems that allow severely motor-impaired patients to use their brain activity to control external devices, for example upper-limb prostheses in the case of motor BCIs. The user's intentions are estimated by applying a decoder on neural features extracted from the user's brain activity. Signal processing challenges specific to the clinical deployment of motor BCI systems are addressed in the present doctoral thesis, namely asynchronous mono-limb or sequential multi-limb decoding and accurate decoding during active control states. A switching decoder, namely a Markov Switching Linear Model (MSLM), has been developed to limit spurious system activations, to prevent parallel limb movements and to accurately decode complex movements. The MSLM associates linear models with different possible control states, e.g. activation of a specific limb, specific movement phases. Dynamic state detection is performed by the MSLM, and the probability of each state is used to weight the linear models. The performance of the MSLM decoder was assessed for asynchronous wrist and multi-finger trajectory reconstruction from electrocorticographic signals. It was found to outperform previously reported decoders for the limitation of spurious activations during no-control periods and permitted to improve decoding accuracy during active periods

Full textThis thesis studies different minimization problems with sparses based regularization. More precisely, we want to reconstruct a sparses image, which undergone a linear transformation, with minimization problems. In this manuscript, we will be focused on l1 synthesis, analysis and block minimization which are widely used in sparse approximations. These problems offer competitive results which are theorietical understood only recntly. Different studies on the subject emphasized the contribution of a particular vector called dual certificate. The existence of this dual certificate allows simultaneously to guarantee the exact recovey of an image in noiseless case and to estimate the noise robustness in noisy case. In this work, we introduce eth existence of an optimal dual certificate for the l1 synthesis minimization which minimizes the reconstruction error. As those results have a strong geometrical interpretation, we develop an identifiability criterion which ensures the uniqueness of a solution. This criterion generalizes the work on l1 synthesis minimization tothe analysis case, block case and others

The first part is dedicated to the Hamiltonian modeling of the waves-particules interaction in the free electron laser, from Maxwell-Vlaslov equations to a one-dimensional simplified model. Then, with tools from dynamical systems, I characterized the phase space structures of the interaction. This study allowed for a better understanding of the laser dynamics ine the linear regime when the wave growns exponentially. Finally, the saturated regime of the laser, put in the context of long-range intensity has been realized through these metastable structures, with an analysis of linear stability of periodic orbits
