Il saggio propone una investigazione degli sviluppi del romanzo d’area napoletana tra la fine degli anni Sessanta e i primi anni Settanta del ’900. Si definiscono i temi dominanti dei principali romanzi pubblicati in questa stagione— Amore e Psiche, Tanto la rivoluzione non scoppierà, Dentro la Stella, Malacqua—, i modelli di riferimento, il contributo degli scrittori rispetto al dibattito teorico nazionale e internazionale. Infine, si analizza il rapporto degli scrittori in oggetto con le forme del Nuovo Romanzo e il filone del cosiddetto romanzo “apocalittico”.

L'articolo ricostruisce le vicende che, a cavallo fra gli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta del Novecento, condussero alla fondazione della Facoltà di Economia e Commercio presso l'Università degli Studi Pavia, collocandole nel contesto del cosiddetto "miracolo economico". Dopo aver descritto le pressanti richieste in tal senso provenienti dal tessuto economico provinciale, si illustrano i complessi meccanismi politico-burocratici che videro impegnati fra Pavia e Roma numerosi attori pubblici e privati variamente interessati al successo dell'iniziativa, dalle autorità accademiche agli enti locali, dalle banche pavesi alla Camera di Commercio, dai funzionari ministeriali ad alcune figure politiche nazionali di primo piano.

In questo articolo l'autore analizza la genesi e lo sviluppo del sistema di arruolamento e formazione per le guardie di pubblica sicurezza. La riforma del comparto di formazione fu probabilmente la più importante tra quelle che interessarono la polizia della Repubblica negli anni successivi al boom economico. L'autore dimostra come la Pubblica sicurezza, partendo da un sistema di formazione per il personale di base embrionale e inefficiente, si dotò nel corso degli anni sessanta di un comparto scuole piuttosto articolato ed efficiente, giungendo a strutturare programmi di formazione e materiali di studio complessi e originali. Nonostante questa imponente trasformazione del sistema di addestramento (che in parte interessò anche le modalità di reclutamento), come l'autore dimostra, la polizia non riuscì ad assicurare alle guardie di Pubblica sicurezza una formazione adeguata a rispondere alle sfide di una società in rapido cambiamento. Ciò avvenne, oltre che per una scarsa selezione del personale arruolato, soprattutto per una serie di disfunzioni organizzative e strutturali che comprimevano in maniera eccessiva il tempo di formazione e minavano l'efficienza delle nuove scuole di polizia.

La storica mutevolezza del paesaggio è paradossalmente il carattere più permanente del Delta del Po. Si parla di un territorio di valli e lagune che è sempre stato povero, ma che fu al centro di una delle operazioni più importanti di colonizzazione nel territorio italiano. Il Delta nel do-poguerra fu oggetto di ipotesi progettuali che, se realizzate, lo avrebbero devastato, ben oltre quanto successo con le urbanizzazioni costiere anche perché negli anni del boom economico si puntava alla "modernizzazione" ma si iniziò anche a parlare di Parco del Delta del Po. Altra fragilità ricorrente è certamente quella ambientale associata ai temi del rischio idraulico, dell'ingressione salina, dell'urbanizzazione turistica diffusa e senza qualità, dell'innalzamento del livello del mare. Il Delta costituisce uno straordinario laboratorio di ricerca progettuale sui temi posti dai cambiamenti climatici, necessario per definire strategie centrate su conflitti, con-traddizioni e opportunità.

Il saggio ricostruisce l'atteggiamento, le analisi e i giudizi della stampa statunitense di fronte al miracolo economico italiano tra il 1960 e il 1964. Il contributo offre due diversi piani di lettura, fra loro complementari. Da un lato, propone una ricostruzione delle dinamiche del miracolo economico (i fattori della crescita, i settori trainanti, le radici della crisi), filtrate attraverso lo sguardo degli osservatori statunitensi, con l'intento di comprendere quali luci e ombre la stagione del boom contribuě a proiettare sull'immagine complessiva dell'Italia allora diffusa oltreoceano. Dall'altro, intende contribuire a un'analisi dell'opinione pubblica americana negli anni Sessanta, facendone emergere in controluce orientamenti e percezioni, convinzioni e prioritŕ, pregiudizi e paure, anzitutto rispetto al problema della crescita economica e dei modelli di sviluppo nel contesto della Guerra Fredda, ma anche in relazione ad alcune scelte dell'amministrazione Kennedy verso l'alleato europeo e ai processi di modernizzazione in corso nella penisola. La ricerca č basata, oltre che su documentazione del Dipartimento di Stato americano, su quotidiani e periodici statunitensi selezionati in base a diffusione, autorevolezza, orientamento e pubblico di riferimento.

Il saggio illustra come, nella provincia di Modena, la pianificazione economica dell'amministrazione locale comunista e socialista, alla base della nascita dei distretti industriali, abbia beneficiato del contributo di una corrente locale della Dc: la "sinistra cattolica" guidata da Ermanno Gorrieri. L'azione di questo gruppo (che mirava principalmente all'industrializzazione delle zone depresse della Bassa padana, alla costruzione di infrastrutture e di attrezzature per il turismo nell'area appenninica) interagě con quella dell'amministrazione nell'elaborazione di un modello che sposava efficacemente sviluppo economico e sviluppo del welfare. Dopo aver ricostruito il percorso della "sinistra cattolica modenese" (dall'Azione cattolica alla Resistenza, al legame con la corrente di Dossetti) e la peculiaritŕ della sua cultura politica - ispirata a un'idea di "anticomunismo" democratico, concorrenziale rispetto al comunismo stesso -, l'autore ne analizza le vicende negli anni del boom economico e del primo centro-sinistra, segnati dalla discussione sulla programmazione economica. Il gruppo vi partecipň attivamente, costituendo un esempio di ricezione e rielaborazione "dal basso" della teoria dell'interventismo economico (filtrata attraverso le categorie di "Cronache sociali" e di Mario Romani).

El presente trabajo versa sobre La buena letra (1992), primera entrega de Rafael Chirbes del conocido díptico que concluye con Los disparos del cazador. en esta ocasión centro mi análisis en la primera obra, porque con ella se adelanta el autor en más de una década a los títulos mayores del corpus de las llamadas narraciones de la crisis financiera y social. Un conjunto de textos en el que a día de hoy las máximas aportaciones (polifónicas y desoladoras) son Crematorio (2007) y En la orilla (2013). En la primera obra del díptico, Ana, protagonista ya anciana, enhebra y zurce un largo relato dirigido a su hijo con jirones de su propia vida, desde la preguerra a comienzos de los años 90. Lo hace urgida por el deseo del hijo de vender la casa familiar para construir sobre el solar pisos al socaire del boom inmobiliario en tiempos de dinero rápido. Il presente lavoro verte su La buena letra (1992), prima parte della dilogia di Rafael Chirbes che si conclude con Los disparos del cazador e che anticipa di ben oltre un decennio alcuni dei grandi titoli del corpus della cosiddetta narrativa della crisi finanziaria e sociale. Un insieme di testi i cui a tutt’oggi maggiori contributi (polifonici e desolanti) restano Crematorio (2007) e En la orilla (2013). Nel romanzo che qui si analizza, l’ormai anziana protagonista Ana intesse, con frammenti della sua vita dall’anteguerra agli inizi degli anni novanta, un lungo racconto destinato al figlio intenzionato -sull’onda del boom immobiliare in tempi di denaro facile- a vendere la proprietà familiare per costruire al suo posto degli appartamenti.

La carenza infermieristica è ormai un problema mondiale, le cui cause sono fortemente correlate tra loro e riconducibili a quattro fattori: • L'invecchiamento della popolazione infermieristica • La riduzione delle iscrizioni ai corsi universitari • Il mutamento delle condizioni lavorative • L'immagine scadente della professione infermieristica. La migrazione infermieristica è motivata dalla ricerca di sviluppo professionale, di una migliore qualità della vita e di sicurezza personale. Vi sono Paesi donatori e Paesi riceventi. Anche in Italia il fenomeno è da anni presente. Nel 2007–2010 vi è stato il boom dell'ingresso in Italia di infermieri stranieri superiore al 25%. Nel 2010 erano iscritti all'albo IPASVI 375 185 infermieri, 77% donne e 10% erano stranieri. Ogni Azienda Sanitaria ha attuato la propria strategia di risoluzione. Presso l'ASLTO2 di Torino, dapprima sono state indette gare per “Cooperative infermieristiche”, poi per “Agenzie Interinali” e attualmente sono presenti i professionisti degli “Studi Associati”. Presso la dialisi del S.G. Bosco di Torino l'esperienza è ormai decennale, strutturata e consolidata. Dal 2001 si sono alternati 30 infermieri stranieri provenienti da sei Paesi diversi, il maggiore è ancora la Romania. Il piano didattico di inserimento del neo infermiere straniero, segue quello usato presso la Struttura complessa per tutti i neo assunti e questo permette una qualità omogenea dell'assistenza e un buon livello di “integrazione” percepito dai lavoratori stranieri. Cosa significa per una donna nigeriana decidere di lasciare il proprio Paese, di migrare, di separarsi dai propri figli, di rivolgersi a dei trafficanti che permettano loro di arrivare in Italia nonostante spesso siano al corrente che saranno coinvolte nel giro della prostituzione? Per capire questo tipo di migrazione forzata e il mecanismo della tratta è importante avere presente la situazione socio-economica e política della Nigeria, in particolar modo dagli anni ’80 in poi quando qui in Italia si è notato per la prima volta il boom di arrivi di immigrate e immigrati nigeriani. È solo comprendendo la situazione che queste donne vivono ogni giorno che si può prendere coscienza di cosa le spinga ad affidarsi a dei trafficanti per compiere questo viaggio, chiamato rotta del Mediterraneo Centrale. È solo immaginando di essere donna in un Paese misogino, povero e corrotto che si può capire perché decidano di affrontare questo esodo durante il quale il loro corpo diventerà un mero pezzo di carne, una materia prima da vendere e comprare. Nessuna di loro però si aspetta quello che realmente accadrà lungo il tragitto e che una volta arrivate a destinazione dovranno attraversare deserti, saranno detenute contro la propria volontà e senza una ragione, saranno picchiate, vendute più volte e stuprate da uomini, trafficanti, ufficiali, miliziani, saranno uccise. La proibizione di schiavitù e tortura sulla loro pelle non verrà applicata; i loro diritti al movimento, alla libertà, al cercare asilo da persecuzioni, alla vita saranno violati ogni giorno.

<p>La storiografia incentrata sul tema della Cassa per il Mezzogiorno è molto ampia e si sviluppa in relazione non solo alle questioni generali riguardanti l’intervento straordinario, ma anche alle molteplici forme di articolazione settoriale e territoriale dell’iniziativa pubblica per la ripresa e lo sviluppo del Sud. Una ricostruzione puntuale delle vicende della Cassa, che per oltre un quarantennio– anche se con diversità di impostazione nelle varie fasi –ha operato come strumento delle strategie per lo sviluppo del Mezzogiorno, richiede un impegno molto approfondito. Tuttavia, anche senza effettuare una dettagliata cronistoria dell’attività dell’Ente, si può ricomporre una visione d’insieme, attraverso l’interpretazione di un modello di intervento pubblico collegato strettamente agli eventi economici concreti e all’andamento dei processi di industrializzazione che hanno interessato i territori meridionali.</p><p>La scelta di una prospettiva di lungo periodo, imperniata sull’analisi dell’intervento straordinario nel suo complesso, ha permesso un giudizio più equilibrato su tutta l’epoca dell’azione “aggiuntiva” dello Stato per il recupero del divario meridionale, superando eccessive semplificazioni nella valutazione di quell’esperienza e confutando pareri sommari sui suoi risultati, spesso privi di fondamento. Al tempo stesso, una visione ampia ha fatto emergere un percorso in grado di associare il caso della Cassa per il Mezzogiorno, controverso e difficile, ma considerato anche un modello tra i più avanzati a livello internazionale, a un tema di grande importanza, come quello delle politiche di sviluppo adottate per affrontare i problemi dell’arretratezza economica e per avviare a soluzione i dilemmi del dualismo.</p><p>L’analisi effettuata ha provato l’esistenza di un indiscutibile progresso economico nel periodo della <em>golden age</em>. Durante quell’epoca di prosperità non solo si realizzò un notevole avanzamento delle aree del Paese che già possedevano un’armatura industriale, ma si ottenne, contemporaneamente, il risultato, per nulla scontato, di una modernizzazione della struttura economica del Mezzogiorno –attraverso la politica delle opere pubbliche, prima, e dell’industrializzazione vera e propria, poi– nonché, di un recupero del divario accumulato con le regioni settentrionali. In questo modo, l’intervento straordinario, indirizzato verso obiettivi macroeconomici e guidato da una tecnostruttura come quella della Cassa, al tempo stesso autonoma e reattiva alle scelte strategiche del governo, si dimostrò lo strumento più efficace e innovativo per fare dell’Italia intera una potenza industriale. L’allontanamento da questi esiti, nella fase successiva dominata dalla crisi petrolifera e dalle politiche di ristrutturazione industriale, pur determinando una netta inversione di tendenza, non ha messo in discussione il valore dell’esperienza iniziale della Cassa per il Mezzogiorno, capace di aprire la strada alla crescita economica italiana negli anni del <em>boom</em>.</p><p>Historiography focusing on the Cassa per il Mezzogiorno is indeed vast and developed not only in regard to the main issues concerning the extraordinary intervention, but also to the various sectorial and territorial articulations public interventions for the recovery of Southern Italy undertook. Achieving a punctual reconstruction of the goings-on of the Cassa, an istitution that, for more than forty years –despite some differences in planning during its various phases– operated as an instrument to implement the strategies focusing on developing Southern Italy, requires a very deep commitment. However, an effective overall view can be reconstructed by interpreting a public intervention model strictly linked to the concrete economic events and to the trends of those industrial processes implemented in Southern Italy, even without going through a detailed chronicle of this entity.</p><p>The choice of a long-term perspective, focused on the analysis of the extraordinary intervention in its entirety, allowed for a more balanced evaluation of all the era regarding the “supplementary” actions the Italian State carried out to bridge the gap of its Southern regions, going beyond the exaggerated simplifications plaguing the evaluations of such an experience and confuting those hasty, often baseless, judgments on the results it achieved. At the same time, a wide viewpoint on the matter let a research path emerge, able to link the specific case of the Cassa per il Mezzogiorno, itself difficult and controversial, while being considered one of the most advanced models internationally, with a very significant theme, such as the development policies implemented to tackle the problems of economic backwardness and to begin solving the dilemmas brought by the dualism.</p><p>The analysis which was carried out proved the existence of an unquestionable economic progress during the <em>golden age</em>. In that era of prosperity, not only did the areas in Italy already possessing a significant industrial presence experience significant advancement, all the while, the result, by no means granted, of a modernized economic structure in Southern Italy was achieved –first through a policy focused on public works and then by true forms of industrialization– and of a significant recovery of the gap the area had towards the Northern regions of Italy. Thus, the extraordinary intervention, focused on macroeconomic goals and driven by a technical structure such as the Cassa, itself autonomous and reacting towards governmental choices at the same time, revealed itself to be the most effective and innovative tool in turning the whole of Italy into an industrial power. The departure from such results in the following phase, dominated by the oil crisis and by the policies of industrial reconstruction, despite triggering a significant trend inversion, never questioned the value of the Cassa per il Mezzogiorno’s initial experience, which was able to open and show the way to economical growth, during the Italian <em>boom </em>years.</p>

L’articolo presenta un’approfondita revisione del libro di James M. Bos Reconsidering the Date and the Provenance of the Book of Hosea. The Case for the Persian-Period Yehud, sullo sfondo del problema del neostoricismo negli studi biblici. Dopo aver tracciato una breve panoramica sul fenomeno del neostoricismo in generale (la sua genesi e il suo successivo sviluppo nel corso degli anni), viene discusso l’approccio di Bos in base al confronto con tali premesse ideologico-filosofiche. A tal proposito viene presentata in modo dettagliato l’intera struttura del libro di Bos, assieme alla valutazione critica dell’argomentazione da lui addotta. L’autore dell’articolo ritiene che l’approccio neostoricista alla Bibbia sia del tutto soggettivo e sbagliato, in quanto assolutizza un principio filosofico e non lascia spazio per caso, dubbio o fede.

<p>En este artículo se analiza una significativa caricatura publicada en <em>El Gallo Pitagórico</em>, libro escrito e impreso respectivamente por Juan Bautista Morales e Ignacio Cumplido en 1845, con el fin de impulsar los intereses del grupo liberal <em>moderado</em>, al cual ambos pertenecían. Puesta a la luz del trasfondo político, la imagen refleja las tensiones que vivieron al enfrentar a Santa Anna y sus seguidores.</p><p> </p><p>This article analyzes a significant caricature published in <em>El Gallo Pitagórico</em>, a book written and printed respectively by Juan Bautista Morales and Ignacio Cumplido in 1845. Viewed from a political context, the caricature promotes the interests of the <em>moderate</em> liberal group to which both belonged and reflects the tensions they experienced when confronting Santa Anna and his advocates. </p>

ABSTRACTRecent scholarship has questioned the accuracy of John Foxe's depiction of Anne Boleyn as an evangelical and a patron of reformers. It has even been suggested that Foxe exaggerated or invented the material he presented on the evangelical zeal of Henry VIII's second queen. A thorough examination of Foxe's sources, however, reveals that he based his account of Anne on material ultimately derived from those who knew her or had benefited from her support. It can also be demonstrated that much of Foxe's account of Anne is confirmed by independent sources. Finally, careful comparison of the material on Anne in the different editions of Foxe's work printed during his lifetime, and analysis of their variations, indicates when Foxe acquired his information about Anne. This, in turn, reveals a great deal about the circumstances in which Foxe composed his account and the specific political and polemical purposes which influenced it. Foxe's account of Anne was one-sided and biased but the information he presented on her was, as far as it went, accurate and it should not be discounted in any scholarly assessment of Henry's queen.

The Polish historian Sławomir Cenckiewicz, formerly of the Institute of National Memory, has produced a book discussing the life and impact of Anna Walentynowicz, whose dismissal from the Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk in early August 1980, five months before she was scheduled to retire, became the catalyst for the formation of Solidarity. The appendices to Cenckiewicz's book consist of more than 300 densely printed pages of crucial documents from the former state security archives, and these make the volume worthwhile. As a biography, the book has notable shortcomings, in part because it contains a good deal of extraneous material and fails to discuss numerous parts of Walentynowicz's life. Even so, Cenckiewicz does successfully capture some aspects of Walentynowicz's character and activities. In time, better books about Walentynowicz will appear, but Cenckiewicz's volume will be an important source for future biographers.

Since the end of apartheid and South Africa’s first democratic elections in 1994, efforts at reconciliation have been dramatic, most notably in the form of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), as well as deeply incomplete. In response, a great deal of post-transitional South African literature and criticism has taken up the question of how to effect reconciliation, particularly outside institutional forums like the TRC. A prominent strand of South African literary studies insists that reconciliation rests on a form of ethical responsibility in which the individual is displaced from him- or herself in order to enact hospitality toward others. This view draws on a Levinasian conception of ethics whereby responsibility entails radical vulnerability with no assurance of reciprocation. Yet a growing corpus of fiction complicates this vision of reconciliation, recognizing that for many South Africans, the violations of apartheid gave rise to what Annie Coombes refers to as a “dissolution of [the] self”, and any effort at building a more inclusive society must redress that dissolution. This article argues that Jo-Anne Richards’ My Brother’s Book (2008) and Achmat Dangor’s Bitter Fruit (2001) present reconciliation as a product of two opposing endeavours. On the one hand, it involves the willingness to give up a sense of self in taking on responsibilities for others. On the other hand, it requires reclaiming a sense of self by asserting one’s right to make affiliative choices and actively construct new spaces of belonging.

RESUMOO presente texto retoma questões relevantes sobre o pensamento negro em educação no Brasil. Por meio desta entrevista aprofundamos como 23 anos depois da publicação do livro que inaugurou os debates a esse respeito, as questões sobre o pensamento negro brasileiro coerentemente reverberam, desafiam e interpelam a Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais no alvorecer do século XXI. Profa. Petronilha afirma que tal pensamento veio com os povos Negros africanos escravizados e que na Diáspora foram sendo recriados e refeitos, particularmente por meio das experiências dos/as professores/as negros/as, especialmente das professoras negras, durante todo o século XX. Foram destacados durante a entrevista elementos como a relevância e atualidade de uma práxis pedagógica antirracista e propostas do movimento Negro, das instituições Negras e dos projetos e pesquisas que assumem um compromisso visceral e dialógico com a história e perspectiva do povo Negro. Por meio de suas memórias familiares e escolares a entrevistada nos lembra que, por mais escolarizadas/os que sejamos, não podemos prescindir do pensamento que é construído nos núcleos familiares, nas comunidades, nos espaços religiosos de matriz africana e pelo movimento Negro. É importante ter presente que existe um pensamento Negro em educação em todas as áreas da vida. Ainda que importantes organizações do movimento Negro tenham se articulado nos anos 1970, é anterior a este período a formulação do pensamento Negro em educação. Through this interview we went on to deepen how 23 years after the publication of the book that inaugurated the debates in this regard, questions about Brazilian black thought consistently reverberate, challenge and question the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations at the dawn of the 21st century. Professor Petronilha affirms that such thought came with the enslaved African Black people and that in the Diaspora they are being recreated and remade, particularly through the experiences of Black teachers, especially Black female teachers, throughout the 20th century. Elements such as the relevance and timeliness of an anti-racist pedagogical praxis and proposals from the Black movement, Black institutions, projects and research that assume a visceral and dialogical commitment to the history and perspective of the Black people were highlighted during the interview. Through her family and school memories, the interviewee reminds us that, no matter how schooled we are, we cannot do without the thought that is built in family nuclei, in communities, in religious spaces of African base and by the Black movement. It is important to keep in mind that there is a Black thought in education in all areas of life. Although important organizations of the Black movement were articulated in the 1970s, the formulation of Black thought in education predates this period. Petronilha afirma que este pensamiento llegó con los negros africanos esclavizados y que en la Diáspora fueron recreados y rehechos, particularmente a través de las experiencias de los maestros negros, especialmente los maestros negros, a lo largo del siglo XX. Estas notas se basan en la revisión crítica de las observaciones de autores acreditados y en el análisis del libro “La science des negocians et teneurs de livres o Instruction Generale pour ce qui se pratique dans les Comptoirs des Negocians, tant pour les affaires de Banque, que pour les Marchandises &amp; Chez les Financiers pour les Comptes”. La primera edición francesa de este libro data de 1704 y fue reimpreso y reeditado hasta después de 1800. El objetivo es esclarecer la contribución de Mathieu de la Porte en el perfeccionamiento y divulgación de la partida doble y especialmente rastrear la aparente utilización del texto “por preguntas y respuestas” por parte del autor anónimo del “Tratado sobre as Partidas dobradas” editado en portugués en Turín en 1764. La influencia de este autor en España, Francia e Italia es reconocida, respectivamente por Hernández Esteve (1996: 548), por Anne Fortin (1998: 259) y Vlaemminck (1956: 131 a 132). En la literatura contable en lenguas no latinas no es tan fuerte el reconocimento de la influencia de Mattheu de la Porte, aunque se reconoce, por ejemplo, en Alemania por Dieter Schneider (1998: 278). La edición en Portugal de la obra “Guia de Negociantes ou Novo Tratado sobre os Livros de Contas em Partidas Dobradas” en 1794, que a su vez es traducción de otro libro de “Mr. De la Porte” con primera edición en 1685; la mención de “mons. The first edition of this book in French was in 1704, and then it had reprints and reeditions until after 1800. The defined task is to explain the contribution of Mathieu de la Porte for the improvement and spread of the doubled entries and, especially, to register the influence in Portugal, and the borrowing of several pages in “Tratado sobre as Partidas Dobradas”, in Portuguese, edited in Turim, 1764. The influence of this author in Spain, France, and in the Italian Peninsula, is recognized respectively by Hernández Esteve (1996:548) by Anne Fortin (1998:259) and Vlaemminck (1956:131 to 132). In the accounting literature, in not Latin languages, it is not so emphatic the recognition of the influence of Matthieu de la Porte, though it is recognized, for example, in Germany by Dieter Schneider (1998: 278). The publication, in Portugal, of the “Guia de Negociantes ou Novo Tratado sobre os Livros de Contas em Partidas Dobradas”, in 1794, which is a translation of a previous book of “Mr. De la Porte” with the first publication in 1685; the quotation, a reference to justify the authorization of publication of the “Mercador Exacto” of João Baptista Bonavie, of an edition, in 1741, of “Mr. De la Porte”; the fact that many paragraphs of the “Tratado sobre as Partidas Dobradas”, published in Turim, without author's identification, in 1764, are almost a literal translation of paragraphs from “LA SCIENCE DES NEGOCIANS ...”; these facts produce evidence of the special influence of Mathieu de la Porte in the knowledge about double entry bookkeeping in Portuguese.<br />The appreciations for accredited authors detach, among others subjects, the prolonged series of publications of this book, the clarity and squamatisation of his presentation, the inclusion of auxiliary books, the description of the procedures for closing and reopening accounts and, in special, his contribution for the improving of the list of accounts.<br />

Although Annie Dillard's masterpiece Pilgrim at Tinker Creek (1974) has conventionally been analyzed as a piece of Nature writing embedded in the Thoreauvian tradition, little has been said about the aesthetic concepts that underlie the text and Dillard's entire take on Nature. This research applies the concepts of Baumgarten's “science of sensible knowledge” to the narrator's perceptions in order to demonstrate that Dillard's ultimate message is the acceptance of Nature, even in its seemingly inhuman places. The study begins with the analysis of the structure of the book, which outlines two types of experience of Nature. Thevia positivais related to the aesthetic concept of beauty and to an active participation of the subject in the aesthetic experience of seeing as a verbalization, whereas the via negativais linked to the concept of the sublime and the experience of seeing as a letting go. Furthermore, the analysis employsand develops Linda Smith's valid conclusions (1991) to show how these two paths join in a third mystical and aesthetic path, the via creativa. By leaving the interpretation of natural signs open-ended, Dillard's modern vision enables the author's total acceptance of Nature's freedom, which fosters its beautiful intricacy as well as its horrible fecundity. Thus, Nature's creativity becomes the basis for an aesthetics of Nature's wholeness, which leadshuman beings to embrace the true essence of Nature, freed from anyprejudices.Resumen A pesar de que Pilgrim at Tinker River (1974), obra maestra de Annie Dillard, ha sido analizada convencionalmente como una pieza de literatura y medio ambiente incrustada en la corriente Thoreauviana y ha sido estudiada extensivamente, poco atención se le ha prestado a los conceptos estéticos que subyacen la obra y que pueden servir para comprender mejor la opinión de Dillard sobre la naturaleza. Por lo tanto, esta investigación aplica los conceptos de “ciencia del conocimiento sensible” de Baumgarten a la percepción del narrador con el fin de demostrar que el mensaje final de Dillard es la aceptación de la naturaleza, incluso en sus lugares aparentemente inhumanos. RESUMO: Delle donne famose, de Donato Albanzani, é um dos vulgarizamentos da coletânea de biografias femininas escrita por Giovanni Boccaccio na década de 1360. Um projeto de tradução desse vulgarizamento levanta a questão sobre a pertinência de se traduzir por "fêmea" o femmina adotado na obra (que se alterna com o uso de donna), já que os sentidos negativos do termo, no italiano do século XIV, eram distintos e menos depreciativos que do que aqueles do correspondente em português. Para examinar tal pertinência, observou-se as ocorrências de donna e femmina no texto do livro com base em três situações: diferenciação por classe de palavras, semantismo dos termos e de seus predicados, e contexto das ocorrências. A análise revela a constituição de axiologias que homologam a oposição natureza x cultura, com femmina em posição disfórica associada à "natureza". Como as acepções depreciativas de "fêmea" se fundam na projeção de aspectos "animalizados" na mulher, pretensamente oriundos de um estágio pré-cultural e humano, o termo pode ser considerado pertinente para traduzir o femmina e evocar os sentidos que ajuda a produzir no texto italiano.Palavras-chave: Literatura italiana medieval. ABSTRACT: Delle donne famose, di Donato Albanzani, è una delle volgarizzazioni della raccolta di biografie femminili scritta da Giovanni Boccaccio negli anni Sessanta del Trecento. Un progetto di traduzione al portoghese brasiliano di questa volgarizzazione mette in rilievo la questione della pertinenza di si tradurre come fêmea la parola "femmina" (adoperata in alternanza alla parola donna), poiché i significati negativi del termine, nell’italiano del XIV secolo, erano distinti e meno denigratori di quelli del corrispondente portoghese. Per esaminare tale pertinenza, si ha osservato le occorrenze delle parole "donna" e "femmina" nel testo del libro sulla base di tre situazioni: la differenziazione per classe di parole, la semantica dei termini e dei loro predicati e il contesto delle occorrenze. L’analisi rivela la costituzione di assiologie che sanciscono l’opposizione natura x cultura, con il termine "femmina" in una posizione disforica associata alla "natura". Poiché i significati dispregiativi di fêmea si basano sulla proiezione di aspetti "animalizzati" nelle donne, presumibilmente da una fase pre-culturale e umana, il termine può essere considerato pertinente per tradurre la parola "femmina" e per evocare i sensi che questa aiuta a produrre nel testo italiano.Parole chiave: Letteratura italiana del medioevo. ABSTRACT: Donato Albanzani’s Delle donne famose is one of the Italian translations of the collection of female biographies written by Giovanni Boccaccio in the 1360s. A Brazilian translation project of this work rises the question if it would be pertinent to use the Portuguese word fêmea for the Italian femmina (which appears alternately with donna to referes to women), since the negative meanings of the term, in 14th century Italian, were distinct and less disparaging than those of its Portuguese correspondent. To examine such pertinence, we observe in the text of the book the occurrences of donna and femmina based on three situations: differentiation by class of words, semanticism of terms and their predicates, and context of occurrences. The analysis reveals the constitution of axiologies that ratify the nature x culture opposition, with femmina in a dysphoric position associated with "nature". As the derogatory meanings of fêmea are based on the projection of "animalized" aspects in women, supposedly from a pre-cultural and human stage, the term can be considered relevant to translate the word femmina and to evoke the senses that it helps to produce in the Italian text.Keywords: Medieval Italian literature. After the Congress of Berlin in 1878, in Bosnia and Hercegovina we saw big changes. The Austrian government was building roads, and railroad tracks. In the Austro-Hungarian period, also they changed their architectural style; from the prevailing ottoman one to more like in Vienna or Prague. This situation was a short time, in live only one generation. These changes affected to life and behavior of Bosnia and Hercegovinas’ citizens. Was changed several people, because after the Austrian arrive, a lot of Muslims Bosniacs, and Turks, were left this part. There were elites in this place. Their positions, how “new elites” take people which they came from different part of the Habsburg Monarchy; Hungarians, Germans, Poles, Czechs, etc. They were taking new ideas, how feminism. The emancipation of women was something new in these places. The first woman, which was proclaiming the slogans, as teachers. On the article we can show two examples; Jelica Belović-Bernadzikowska, and Jagoda Truhelka. They were born in Osijek, from giving Bosnian part ideas, that girl needs to will independent and need to have good graduated. These modern ideas, supported, in a way, the government because in the country was a school program for girls. Austro-Hungarian politics was building a school for girls, and take some scholarship went girl studied in University, how Marija Bergman, born in Bosnia, daughter of some Jews officials. However teachers not only modern women, similar roles had women-doctors. Girls who graduated Faculty of Medicine, arrive in Bosnia and Hercegovina and help Muslim women. Poles Teodora Krajewska and Czechs Anna Bayerova also take ideas of feminism, but, most important that she was great respect between patience. Propagating the feministic ideas was thinking which affect all women. Most important was not only slogans but also changes in everyday life normal family in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The other day only men can work on the farmland or work. After the Congress of Berlin situations was changed. On the consequences, women must be going to work, often how a worker in fabric. Work was hard, but women first time have their cash. Automatically her position in society was better. These situations have consequences for the city, as like villages. We sow this situation in the book Vere Ehrlich, which researched this topic in the interwar period. In the article, we went to show, that this changing was things also women, which life to margin, how prostitutes. Naturally, their life was always difficult, but the new government also got assistance. Habsburg's administration knew, that better control of specific profession, because this is the way how deal with the epidemic of syphilis, and something like this. In this work, we use scientific literature and documents from archives, mainly the Archive of Federation Bosnia and Hercegovina, and Historical Archive from city Sarajevo, when was document fo Jelica Belović-Bernadzikowska. How method we use case study and analyzing to literature and historical sources.

Abstract Background pCR rates in stage II – III HER2-positive breast cancer have greatly improved since the addition of HER2 targeted agents to neoadjuvant chemotherapy and are associated with excellent long-term survival. While longer treatment regimens increase pCR rate, early complete responses are also common. We evaluated an image-guided approach to tailor chemotherapy duration based on the identification of early complete responders. Methods 45 hospitals across the Netherlands participated in the phase 2 TRAIN-3 trial. Patients received neoadjuvant systemic treatment consisting of paclitaxel, trastuzumab, carboplatin and pertuzumab (PTC-Ptz). Response to treatment was monitored every three cycles and patients were referred for surgery in case of a radiologic complete response (rCR) or after a maximum of 9 cycles. RCR was defined as the absence of pathological enhancement on MRI breast plus negative vacuum assisted core biopsies in case of hormone-receptor positive (HR+) tumors. In addition, negative fine needle aspiration or lymph node biopsy was required in patients with nodal involvement at baseline. The primary endpoint was 3-year event-free survival (EFS). Here, we report locally assessed rCR and pCR rates after 3, 6 and 9 cycles, the negative predictive value of rCR assessment and the incidence of adverse events (AEs). Analyses are stratified by HR-status. Results We included 467 patients between April 2019 and May 2021. Median age was 51 years, 69% had stage II disease and 232 had HR+ tumors. 33.6% of HR- patients and 15.5% of HR+ patients achieved pCR after 3 cycles of PTC-Ptz (see table). The NPV was higher in HR- patients and independent of the number of cycles. AE evaluation is currently ongoing. Conclusion Three cycles of PTC-Ptz induce an early pCR in one in three HR- and one in six HR+ tumors in patients with stage II-III HER2+ breast cancer. Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI-based response evaluation identifies these patients with ±87% certainty in HR- disease and ±58% in HR+ disease. Continuation of PTC-Ptz after 6 cycles further improves pCR rates and can be considered to reduce the need for adjuvant T-DM1. Efficacy and safety of this image-guided approach to tailor treatment duration need to be confirmed with follow-up in EFS and OS analyses. Resumo: O presente texto objetiva uma abordagem, no interior do pensamento de Ernst Bloch (1885/1977), acerca da relação entre marxismo e utopia: um vínculo incomum no interior do marxismo, comumente tido numa oposição inconciliável. Daí a apropriação do termo “herético” em referência ao marxismo do autor alemão: a expressão é usada não em sentido pejorativo, mas apenas para situar seu distanciamento do marxismo vulgar, bem como sua intenção de crítica radical dessa tradição. Aqui entendemos que é, em particular, por meio da relação entre marxismo e utopia que o pensamento de Ernst Bloch aparece como um projeto inelutavelmente político com vistas a uma filosofia da práxis concreta na principal obra do autor: O Princípio esperança (Das Prinzip Hoffnung) [1954/1959]. Neste livro encontramos, com efeito, a tentativa de pensar a atualidade do marxismo para o contexto do século XX, a era das catástrofes, conforme definição do historiador Eric Hobsbawm. Abstract: This paper presents an approach within the thinking of Ernst Bloch (1885/1977) about the relation between Marxism and Utopia: an unusual link within Marxism, commonly held in an irreconcilable opposition. Hence the appropriation of the term "heretical" in reference to the German author's Marxism: the expression is used not in a pejorative sense, but only to situate its distancing from vulgar Marxism, as well as its intention of a radical critique of this tradition. Here we understand that it is particularly through the relationship between Marxism and Utopia that Ernst Bloch's thought appears as an ineluctably political project with a view to a philosophy of concrete praxis in the principal work of the author: The Principle Hope (Das Prinzip Hoffnung) [1954/1959]. In this book we find, in effect, the attempt to think the actuality of Marxism in the context of the age of catastrophe - as defined by Eric Hobsbawm - that is, the long twentieth century that experienced the extreme barbarism of the concentration camp, of which the thinker in question, Jewish and Communist, managed to escape. Every game theorist knows of Mertens and Zamir (1985)'s universal beliefs space, which gives deep foundations to Harsanyi's model of Bayesian games, and Kohlberg and Mertens (1986)'s strategic stability, which is the first stone of a complete, axiomatic theory of selection among Nash equilibria. Some French mathematicians refer to the “Mertens–Zamir operator” when using techniques that Mertens and Zamir (1971) introduced to solve a class of repeated games with incomplete information. Readers of Macroeconomic Dynamics may instead have seen Mertens and Rubinchik's 2012 article “Intergenerational Equity and the Discount Rate for Policy Analysis.”The previous examples give just a slight idea of the scope of Jean-François Mertens's contributions, which also deal with general equilibrium, stochastic games, nonatomic cooperative games, and the strategic foundations of microeconomic theory. In his 2005 MD interview, Robert Aumann says, “A [. . .] person at CORE who has had a tremendous influence on game theory [. . .] is Jean-François Mertens. Mertens has done some of the deepest work in the discipline, some of it in collaboration with Israelis like my students Kohlberg, Neyman, and Zamir; he established a Belgian school of mathematical game theory that is marked by its beauty, depth, and sophistication.” The short interview that follows will definitely not account for the variety and the relevance of Jean-François's research achievements, but is typical of the way in which he talked about his work.Jean-François asked me to interview him for MD during the spring of 2010. We discussed by e-mail the topics that would be covered and on July 6, 2010, I came to Louvain-la-Neuve with a tape recorder. After lunch, Jean-François suggested that we have coffee on a terrace near the golf course and there, he patiently answered my questions, sometimes in French, sometimes in English, for about two hours. We planned to go on for at least another round but kept postponing the project. . . . When I saw Jean-François for the last time, in February 2012, I gave him the transcript of the July 2010 interview, but he hardly commented on it. He rather told me about an ongoing research article, “A Random Partitions Approach to the Value,” to be presented (by Abraham Neyman) as a “von Neumann lecture” at the World Congress of Game Theory in Istanbul in July 2012. At the same time, he was also completing, with Anna Rubinchik, the revision of a companion paper to the MD article referred to previously (“Equilibria in an Overlapping Generations Model with Transfer Policies and Exogenous Growth,” forthcoming in Economic Theory).Even if Jean-François did not proofread the transcript that follows, I cannot keep this material for myself. I am confident that those who have known Jean-François will take the interview, even incomplete, as an opportunity to remember his enthusiasm and his patience when he was talking about research. He would often start by identifying holes in obvious or well-known solutions to basic problems, and after a few audacious but illuminating shortcuts, would describe the most surprising achievements in everyday words. I hope that the interview will give an idea of Jean-François's approach to those who did not know him.Quite naturally, because MD was the planned outlet of the interview, we started by talking about the paper on the discount rate for policy analysis, which was already mentioned in the preceding. Jean-François made a number of informal comments, which usefully complement the MD article. He also explained how this paper led him and his coauthor to undertake a thorough analysis of overlapping generations economies in continuous time. This made a perfect transition to Jean-François's views on general equilibrium theory, his own work in this area, and his early career.The next step would be Jean-François's meeting with Bob Aumann, who introduced him to game theory. Jean-François pursued Aumann and Maschler's seminal work on infinitely repeated games with incomplete information, mostly with Shmuel Zamir. He went on with the existence of a value in stochastic games, another model of infinitely long games, which was introduced by Shapley in 1953. This research was undertaken with Abraham Neyman at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Jerusalem in 1980. Soon after, Mertens and Zamir started to review and complete all available results on repeated games in order to prepare a reference book on this topic. The material kept growing. Sylvain Sorin joined the team in the nineties and a draft appeared as a 1994 CORE discussion paper. However, in 2010, the book was still unpublished. . . the interview ends up with Jean-François's feelings about the project.As shown by the list of publications at the end, many important contributions of Jean-François Mertens to game theory and microeconomics are not even mentioned in the interview. During his stay at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Jerusalem in 1980, Jean-François not only worked with Abraham Neyman on stochastic games, but also had his first discussions with Elon Kohlberg on refinements of Nash equilibria. These would be followed by many others, at CORE and Harvard, until the famous Econometrica paper appeared in 1986. For the next 15 years or so, Jean-François further developed the theory of strategic stability, by himself and with his students.During the same period, Jean-François was also making progress on a completely different problem, the extension of the Shapley value to nonatomic cooperative games. Aumann and Shapley (1974) had made the first steps by proposing a value for smooth games. Jean-François proposed a complete answer to the problem in the eighties and, as already pointed out above, kept working on related topics until the very end.Even without entering into details, a description of Jean-François's more recent contributions would be beyond the scope of this short introduction. As the interview makes clear, Jean-François became more and more interested in the foundations of microeconomic theory. A typical example is his “limit price mechanism,” which can be loosely described as a double auction with several goods or as an extension of Shapley and Shubik's strategic market games. Another example is “relative utilitarianism,” which, as Jean-François explains in the interview, plays a crucial role in the determination of an appropriate social discount rate for the evaluation of long-term economic policies. Al di là del notevole impianto narrativo, Canale Mussolini. Parte seconda [2015] di Antonio Pennacchi ha il merito di raccontare un periodo di storia italiana attraverso una «voce collettiva»: è la voce del dialetto, di cui qui si intende studiare la portata. Ma il valore della scelta linguistica dipende anche dall’emigrazione cui sono costretti i personaggi della saga di Pennacchi (iniziata con Canale Mussolini [2010]): un’epopea, la loro, che termina all’inizio degli anni Sessanta. E un’emigrazione diversa, ma per certi aspetti non meno violenta, tocca anche alcuni romanzi editi proprio negli anni del boom economico, ai quali qui (in forma di aggancio) si dedicherà qualche osservazione conclusiva.

Una delle interpreti di maggior successo della Primavera Letteraria Sarda e della narrativa italiana contemporanea al femminile, Milena Agus offre nel suo ultimo romanzo, Terre promesse, un’espressione originale di scrittura come poiēsis, in cui l’atto del narrare si configura come forza creativa capace di plasmare la realtà attraverso la riflessione. Partendo dal significato diacronico del concetto di poiēsis, in particolare nei suoi sviluppi modernisti attraverso la riflessione di Martin Heidegger, questa analisi testuale segue la ricerca di una mitica “terra promessa” di tre generazioni sarde attraverso la struttura tripartita del romanzo. Nel corso di un ampio arco di tempo che va dall’immediato secondo dopoguerra attraverso il boom economico degli anni Sessanta fino al tardo capitalismo del terzo millennio, lungo un altrettanto ampio percorso migratorio da “la Sardegna” a “il Continente” a “l’America” con molteplici andate e ritorni, Felicita emerge come l’unico personaggio capace di raggiungere “terre promesse”. Felicita, per la sua accettazione costruttiva della fluidità dell’esistenza, incarna la soggettività nomade proposta da Rosi Braidotti, e diviene agente di trasformazioni dinamiche infuse di un’etica dell’affermazione. Nell’inerente nomadismo di Felicita ed attraverso la sua creatività poietica, l’autrice persegue “pratiche della speranza” per plasmare una comunità più inclusiva perché trans-gressiva.
