Abstract:
Androgynous fashion trends incorporate men’s and women’s clothing elements and are often embraced by individuals who challenge traditional gender norms. This research project aims to explore the reactions of religious individuals to non-binary people wearing androgynous clothing in everyday life. Using a narrative inquiry approach, this research collects interview data to analyze critical issues from the informants’ points of view. Informants were selected through an Outcome-based sampling method from Muslim-majority communities and Islamic college. Examining the responses of community members and students is essential to understand their attitudes toward critical issues better. Research analysis involves two distinct stages. <em>First</em>, it is essential to identify patterns in the data obtained from the two groups of informants based on the derived themes. <em>Second</em>, these patterns must be thoroughly compared with theoretical perspectives to ensure that comprehensive and holistic data is produced. Research indicates that religious individuals and students often share different perspectives regarding non-binary individuals who opt for an androgynous appearance.

Fashion styles are closely related to their social and cultural background. Clothing is a product of materials and ideas. Clothing satisfies people physically and psychologically. Androgynous style is not a recent development; it was, is and will continue to be popular, which is special in fashion history. Androgynous style is prevailing currently. Despite its appearance, androgynous style is closely connected to social and cultural influences, for example, mass media, lifestyles and improvements in production methods in the clothing industry. In this paper, there is a deep examination of androgynous style, the significance of and reasons for its popularity with societies from the past up to today.

Abstract:
Introduction. Lena Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples” fits into the traditional, since antiquity, interpretation of the androgynous image associated with the idea of “reintegration of opposites” (M. Eliade), the problem of finding the Other to gain the anthropological and ontological completeness and integrity of the individual. The aim is to analyze the semantics of the androgynous motif in L. Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples”. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the work of M. Eliade “Mephistopheles and Androgynes”, the research of I. A. Edoshina, E. S. Turutina, N. A. Kopylova, devoted to the image of androgynes in the literature of the Silver Age and philosophy. Results and discussion. In “Stone Maples”, androgynous motifs are manifested in the conflicts between the central characters of Sasha Sonley and Llewellyn Elderberry, the half-sisters of Sasha and Edna. Androgynous motifs are presented in several versions: homosexual attraction, “intersex disguises”, sacrifice, as well as through specific metaphors of connecting two people into a harmonious whole “author-reader”, “hotel hostess-guest”. Finding love, which provides the anthropological and ontological completeness of being, is fraught with difficulties (motives for passing tests, solving riddles, choosing a betrothed). L. Eltang fundamentally distances hirself from the bodily semantics of the androgynous motif, actualizing its symbolic meaning: unity with the second half is interpreted as a meeting of the author with his reader, who is ready to become a co-author. Conclusion. Androgynous motifs reveal the themes of love and creativity in the novel. Only the acquisition of the Other gives the fullness and meaning of existence.

Abstract:
The aim of the research was to determine the psychological gender against the background of a partner’s support and the spouse’s workplace. The research involved a group of 503 married women and men, including 354 professional soldiers - of who 152 have participated in military missions and 202 work in Poland. The research included also 149 women - 94 wives of soldiers participating in missions and 55 women in relationship with soldiers doing their job in Poland. To collect the data for research the nonprobability snowball and purposive sampling methods have been applied. The research was conducted in 2013. The respondents, in majority showing androgynous characteristics, perceive the support on the part of their families as average or very low. Substantial differences as to the psychological gender and support have been observed in the group of soldiers doing their service in their home country. The feminine men and people with unspecified gender identity seem to receive the lowest support, while the androgynous people and male men experience the highest one. Interesting dispersion of results has been observed - the lowest for the group of feminine men, the highest for the androgynous ones

Abstract:
Androgyny is a gender role that has several positive characteristics such as adaptive coping strategies and less violent viewpoints. To examine the relationship between gender, gender roles, and attitudes towards violence, 161 individuals were administered the Bem Sex Role Inventory and a violence questionnaire. It was hypothesized that a significant number of non-androgynous people would have a great predisposition towards violence. The mean violence score was higher for men than for women, however, there was no difference between androgynous individuals and others. There were no significant interaction effects. Results are surprising when compared to previous research. It may be that more and more people, regardless of their interpersonal style, are moving towards a view which does not condone violence.

Abstract:
Androgyny combines masculine and feminine characters at once. Despite the fact that the way one’s talk, gestures, emotions, interests and talents are indicators of androgyny, fashion or the way they dress has become the main indicator. While the existing literatures deal more on characteristics, behavior, interests and talents, and self-representation through social media, this article is focused on how androgyny men exptress their gender through fashion. This study was conducted in the city of Makassar which involved 12 male college students. They are varied based on age (between 20 and 24 years), and profession (master of ceremony, model, dancer, make up artist, disc jockey). Data was collected using in-depth interview, focus discussion group (FGD), and observation as the primary data sources as well website and social media (i.e. Instagram), as the secondary data sources. The study indicates that androgynous men is not transgender because they did not want to become “like women”, as transgender do. Besides, androgynous men classify themselves higher than transgender, from both appearance and social class. Although androgynous men may express their androgynousness through behavior, interests and talents, fashion is the most significant aspect that indicates a person's androgynousity. Androgynous men express androgyny more through fashion than others because through fashion their existence is easily recognized, as it is combining between masculine and feminine characters. Androgynous fashion is divided into two, less masculine-more feminine and less feminine-more masculine. Whether an androgynous man is more feminine or more masculine, depending on their performance and perception towards what is being performed. The motives of androgynous men are divided into two, the first is “because-to-motive” and “in-order to motive”. While the former includes influencing by peer group, having sense of comfort, feeling self satisfaction, and being professional; the latter consists of expecting to be socially accepted and to be accepted as normal people.

Abstract:
Three studies investigated inferences about physically androgynous (PA) people. In Experiments 1 and 2, participants rated the personality, gender-role behavior, occupation, and sexual orientation of male, female, and PA targets in a within-subjects design. Targets were presented in color photos in Experiment 1 and in verbal descriptions in Experiment 2. Experiment 3 used verbal descriptions in a between-subjects design. In all three studies, participants inferred that the traits and behaviors in the PA targets were less gender-typed than those in the male and female targets. Participants also inferred that the PA targets were more likely to be homosexual and less likely to be heterosexual than the male and female targets. These results indicate that people draw conclusions about psychological characteristics from a person's physical appearance, but challenge Brewer's (1988) and Fiske and Neuberg's (1990) descriptions of how gender affects this process. Assumptions about PA people may also reinforce butch/fem stereotypes of lesbians and gay men.

Abstract:
Researchers have recently begun to examine how categorization processes impact social evaluations. In two studies, we examined how sex categorization influences attitudes toward transgender individuals. We found that people evaluated transgender individuals more negatively if they possessed physically androgynous (vs. sex-typical) characteristics because they struggled to identify their sex. These relationships were stronger among political conservatives compared to individuals with more liberal political views. These findings provide new insights for research on attitudes toward gender minorities and for the role of political ideology in social judgments.

Abstract:
This study was conducted to investigate cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) accumulation in soil, vegetables, and residential hair in the vicinity of Cho Dien mine. Health risk assessment of those was also evaluated based on vegetables contamination, including the average daily dose (ADD) and hazard quotient (HQ) calculation. The concentration of Cd and Pb in soil was 2.1 and 8.4 times higher than QCVN 03-MT:2015/BTNMT. The highest concentrations of both metals were found at 56.2 mg/kg and 23.266 mg/kg near mine areas and tailings dam. Among eight vegetables investigated, the common leafy species consumed by local people, Sauropus androgynous and Ipomoea aquatic, were the most contaminated plants. Sauropus androgynous tended to be accumulated higher Cd (10.8 mg/kg) while Ipomoea aquatic was accumulated more Pb (17.3 mg/kg). Health impact monitoring revealed that Cd and Pb concentrations in hair samples were up to 0.93 and 84.2 mg/kg, respectively. Consumption of vegetables would lead to potential health risks especially for children, since the values of HQ of Cd and Pb for vegetables would sum up to almost 1. Thus, long-term Cd and Pb exposure by regular consumption of locally grown vegetables poses potentially health problems to the local population.

This research examines the connection between internalized homophobia and the partnering process among gay people in Vietnam. It explores their criteria for finding a committed partner, which is based on perceptions of gender roles, gender expression, and sex roles. It shows that their concepts of an ideal type of partner and relationship are rooted in what they have learned and internalized in a heteronormative environment, which devalues androgynous gender expression and gender nonconformity. It also explores the use of dating applications among Vietnamese gays and how this partnering method can lead to internalized homophobia and discrimination within the LGBTQ+ community. This study expands upon current understandings of LGBTQ+ people in Vietnam and their relationships with each other and contributes to the library of queer studies in Asian, Confucian regions.

Abstract:
The article represents socio-psychological analysis of gender-specific experiences of uncertainty of professional status in the period of maturity. The authors describe the results of qualitative and quantitative data analysis of 112 people aged 33—39 years old, employed on full time and staying in a situation of threat of job loss or change of important parameters of their employment. On the basis of obtained results the authors make the conclusion about the existence of gender differences in the experiences of uncertainty of professional status in the period of maturity, which become apparent in the decreasing trends of the individual components of the experience of uncertainty from sample to sample, in the differences in the level of expression of these components, as well as in the differences in the configuration of the correlation relationship with different types of gender identity at this stage of ontogenesis. The article indicates the ordered impact of gender identity on the experience of professional status uncertainty in adult life, which is evident in a non-random trend of decreasing symptoms from sample to sample: passion, integral readiness for change and distraction decrease from masculine to feminine; from feminine to masculine — emotions and MITN decrease; from androgynous to feminine — avoidance decreases; from masculine to androgynous — frequency of problem-focused coping decreases.

Abstract:
The effectiveness of coping behavior depends not only on a successful strategy but also on the individual characteristics of a person. Age, sex, intelligence, social status, gender identity - all these influence the coping ability and resilience of an individual. In mo- dern psychological research, there is some confusion between the concepts of ‘sex’ and ‘gender.’ Despite numerous studies on male and female coping strategies, gender differences in coping behavior are still poorly understood. The purpose of the study was to analyze gender-specific coping strategies of middle-aged men and women. Russian men and women (N = 286) were divided by gender (masculine, androgynous, feminine). The research was made using The Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BPRT) and Lazarus Folkman’s Test Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ). This study employed a cross-sectional design. Differences among the groups were assessed using the Kruskal - Wallis H test, Mann - Whitney U test and Student t-test. The specificity of coping behavior was found to be determined by the gender identity of the study participants. The results of the present study support the gender differences hypothesis, since people with differences in biological sexual identity (male and female) use gender-specific coping strategies (masculine, feminine, or androgynous) if their gender orientations are the same. The research of masculinity, androgyny and femininity can become an important step in the long-term study of coping behavior and the basis for a better understanding of the dynamics of human behavior in a stressful situation.

Abstract:
The last decade has seen the expansion of trans* identities that are gender queer, non-binary, androgynous, or multiply-sexed and gendered in Western Europe. These developments mark a shift from a uniformly gender-binaried system to one that encompasses some degree of gender pluralism, as reflected to an extent in policy changes in some European countries. However, gender binarism is still prevalent. This article uses the case of Norway to demonstrate a contrast between the citizenship statuses afforded to transsexual men and women, and the lack of citizenship rights that people with non-binary identities, and other gender-variant people who are not diagnosed as transsexual, face. The article addresses the historical role of the Norwegian state in perpetuating gender binaries, in key areas such as identity recognition. It then explores the ways in which Norwegian social policy is changing towards more trans-sensitive positions.

Abstract:
Researchers have demonstrated that women participate more frequently than men in religious activities, and some have argued the differences may be attributable to gender orientation (feminine or masculine) rather than sex (female or male). The present study explored both gender and sex differences as they related to religious participation and spirituality among participants explicitly involved in religious activity. In contrast to previous studies, the data collected from 190 Christian adults revealed no statistically significant differences in religious participation between men and women nor among individuals categorized as feminine, masculine, or androgynous. Furthermore, men, women, and people from each gender orientation were equally aware of their relationship with God. The results suggest gender and sex differences within the psychology of religion are not as clear as previously proposed.

Abstract:
The present study set out to use qualitative interviews in an effort to understand why young people from highly educated groups, especially from ‘non-productive’ sectors of the economy (public services, teaching, etc.), are found to have a relatively strong affinity to the environmental movement. Young people aged 15–20, who were members of organizations associated with the protection of or use of nature, were interviewed. In conclusion, we suggest that to some extent the class differences can be interpreted in the light of forms of symbolic inclusions and exclusions. There are a number of ‘symbolic fences’ that working-class youngsters have to cross in order to become members of an environmental organization. These fences are related to: the style and cultural identity of the members, expectations of a sort of self-enclosure as part of participation in the organization, the somewhat androgynous gender-identity of the members, the perceptions of nature that are dominant among the members and the organization's intellectual image.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of psychological androgyny, a construct that represents a combination of masculinity and femininity, in explaining changes in descriptions of a good manager over time. Design/methodology/approach – Samples of the same two populations were surveyed at four different points in time spanning four decades (N = 1,818). Findings – Good-manager descriptions became increasingly similar in masculinity and femininity over time, or increasingly androgynous according to the balance conceptualization of androgyny. However, both good-manager masculinity and good-manager femininity declined over time, with masculinity declining to a greater extent, which accounted for the greater similarity in these scores. As a result, according to the high masculinity/high femininity conceptualization of androgyny, good-manager descriptions actually became decreasingly androgynous and more “undifferentiated”. Overall, the trend in leader prototypes over time was toward less emphasis on traits associated with members of either sex. Research limitations/implications – Limitations of two alternative methods of analyses and the survey instrument are acknowledged. What constituted a good manager may have depended on the context. Further scholarly attention to the concept of an undifferentiated leadership style is recommended. Practical implications – People may be moving beyond leader prototypes based on the simple application of gender stereotypes. Changes in leader prototypes over the past four decades may contribute to enhancements in women’s societal status. Social implications – Leader prototypes may disadvantage women less than in the past. Originality/value – Results suggest that the role of androgyny in leader prototypes is declining according to the high masculinity/high femininity conceptualization.

Abstract:
Introduction and study purpose. The presented article shows the theoretical analysis of literature sources on the problem of the gender approach in physical education of pupils. Considering the problems of physical education of young people through the prism of gender, Ukrainian and foreign scholars emphasize the relationship between gender and personality-oriented approaches as the basis for the humanization of the educational process. With the purpose to determine the critical periods of decreased and increased motivation of students to engage in specially organized motor activity, taking into account their gender characteristics, it is necessary to monitor how the quantitative composition of masculine, feminine and androgynous boys and girls change with age and how these psychological characteristics affect their motivational priorities to motor activity. Material and methods. The results of the study are based on the materials of questionnaires and testing of 638 students of 5-11 forms (303 boys and 335 girls) of secondary education institutions. A set of methods was used to solve the tasks: analysis, generalization and systematization of scientific and methodological literature; questionnaire, psychological and diagnostic testing, test questionnaire S. Bem "Masculinity - femininity", generally accepted methods of mathematical statistics. Results. It is proved that androgynous and feminine gender characteristics influence the motivation to be engaged in physical activity in girls. The high level of motivation to engage in physical education and sports in boys coincides with a high level of androgyny and femininity. The critical period of reduced motivation to engage in physical education and sports falls on the period of increasing manifestation of masculine characteristics. Summary. As a result of the study, we received a fairly large amount of necessary knowledge, which gives us the opportunity to develop a model of components of individual physical culture of adolescents and young people with evaluation criteria for different age and gender groups. Key words: physical education, gender approach, boys, girls, masculinity, androgyny, femininity

Abstract:
The research of gender education and gender-role behavior of men and women is becoming increasingly relevant in modern society. Psychological trends of modern society, appealing to androgynous values, increasingly blur the boundaries that define male and female roles and their functions. This is especially evident in family relationships. The article is devoted to the idea of the head of the genus in the Yakut family, gender stereotypes among the Sakha people. In the course of the study, the author’s methodology was developed based on the Mukhina’s methodology “Criminal or scientist», as well as the authors’ questionnaire on identifying the head of a clan and the line of the clan. The respondents were young people aged 18 – 29 years. The results of the study showed that in modern Yakut families, the ancestral line is more often carried out on the mother’s side. The head of a clan in most cases is also a woman. It was revealed that there are no statistically significant gender differences in our sample

Abstract:
This study was planned and conducted in order to determine parents' gender roles and their influence on children and their attitudes towards responsibility. The study involved 600 people (405 men, 195 women) selected through a random sampling method from a total of 3536 staff from Hacettepe University. The instruments used in this study consisted of 4 parts: personal information survey, responsibility and satisfaction surveys, and the adapted Turkish version of the Bem Sex Role Inventory (BSRI). Two-way ANOVA (2 × 4 factorial design) methods were used for the research questions. According to the results of the study, it is evident that mothers are more involved in childcare than fathers. However, gender roles, classified as “androgynous”, “masculine”, “feminine” and “undifferentiated”, do not seem to have a significant effect on the amount of time a parent spends with his/her children.

Abstract:
The greatest attention in the article is paid to people with abnormal sexual attraction in the form of pedophilia. A special role is assigned to different types of relations to sexual attraction (ego-synthonic and ego-dystonic). We considered peculiarities of gender identity through the prism of the «I-concept» of the individual, that allows you to come closer to understanding their role in the realization of sexual desire. Materials for the research were provided by the forensic sexology laboratory FSBA «V.P.Serbskiy State Research Center of Social and Forensic Psychiatry» at the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation. The sample include 43 persons - 27 with a disorder of sexual desire in the form of pedophilia and 26 people who committed sexual acts against children, in the absence of a sexual attraction. In the comparison group were 27 people of the statistical norm. The results of the study demonstrate for persons with pedophilia such gender identity features as expressed femininity of the I-image, androgynous type of the «I-ideal» image, as well as feminine behavior models in interaction and communication. Depersonification of sexual preference object is detected for persons with aggressive tendencies. The obtained data could be used for profiling a prospective criminal portraits and solving expert questions.

This study was designed to examine the hands of unprimed constructs people use in an openended social perception task (Kelly Rep Test, Kelly, 1955). Three samples of subjects used their own natural categories or person schemes in judgments of familiar others. Results indicated that whereas the most prevalently used constructs with familiar others are best described as idiosyncratic, gender related trait sets of Agency and Communion were used widely by most subjects, with some individual differences associated with gender role. Masculine and Feminine subjects used constructs consistent with their own gender role (Agency and Communion, respectively) more than gender role inconsistent constructs (Communion and Agency, respectively), or constructs unrelated to gender Androgynous subjects were equally likely to use Agentic and Communal categories when describing others, and used gender-related categories overall more than Undifferential subjects. Results are discussed in relationship to gender schema and self-schema theory predictions.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is a philosophical and anthropological analysis of the ideal of androgyne in V.V. Rozanov’s metaphysics of sex. The main focus is on the comparison of the destructive and constructive forms of the androgyne in his philosophy. According to the philosopher, destructive forms include people of «moonlight» or «third sex», who are considered the founders of New Testament Christianity, denying the life of the flesh. Constructive forms are the natural androgyny of a child and the androgyny of a married couple, which reveals itself in love, dynamics, mutual complementarity of a man and a woman. The paper draws parallels between N.A. Berdyaev’s and V.V. Rozanov’s concepts of androgyne, which are antipodal in terms of direction of thought but have common meanings. It is concluded that thesimilarity between the concepts lies in the understanding of gender as a dynamic and metaphysical principle that penetrates through not only the bodily but also the spiritual life of a person, and therefore cannot be rejected. The concepts are also similar in that they draw a boundary between the androgyne and the hermaphrodite, of which the former is the ideal of the human wholeness, while the latter is an unsuccessful attempt to achieve it. The differences between these philosophers consist in the priority of spiritual love in Berdyaev’s system and worldly, bodily love in Rozanov’s, as well as in a different understanding of the process of an androgyne being generated in a person, which, in Berdyaev’s conception, is individual and arises in each of the persons who are in love with each other, while, according to Rozanov, it is exclusively achievable in couples. The paper also pays attention to Rozanov’s own theology, which renews the Old Testament family ideals, offering the concept of God as a «sexual» being and proposing to consider the act of love within marriage as a sacred mystery that unites a person with God in co-creation. The study allows us to rethink the modern problems of gender self-determination of a person, returning to the metaphysical foundations of the Russian philosophy of gender, the main task of which was the synthesis of the spiritual and bodily principles in a person.

Abstract:
This article presents research on the relationships of gender role identification, biological sex, and age to the beliefs and behaviors about money. The participants were 240 whose age varied from 17 to 91 years (M = 38.68, SD = 1.81). Bulgarian adaptations of Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) and Furnham's Money Beliefs and Behavior Scale (MBBS) were used. The results indicated that people with different gender role patterns (masculine type, feminine type, androgynous type, undifferentiated type) differed in their beliefs and behaviors towards money. According to the results of this research, biological sex was related to male attitudes and beliefs that money could be the main purpose and value, and may be used to demonstrate excellence. The data showed that women tended to feel more tension, anxiety, and guilt when spending money, and also perceived money as a means of security and protection. The assumption that the participants from different age groups would have different beliefs and attitudes about money was also confirmed.

The article deals with the aspects of social and psychological adaptation in elderly and senile age and analyses the conditions for successful aging. The authors assume that people in elderly age have significant individual characteristics and, as a consequence, research results are often contradictory. It is shown that the socio-psychological adaptation in elderly patients is determined by individual psychological qualities, by specificity of their identity, by strategies of their adaptation to old age. This may be the strategy of the "closed loop" type, that is maintenance of self as an individual, or an alternative strategy, maintaining self as a personality. It was noted that adaptation to old age was flying differently in women and men, which may be due to gender differences in lifestyle, the strongest identification of some men with occupational roles, and of women with homework and family obligations. It is shown that successful aging contributes to the formation of androgynous type of gender identity, which provides flexibility in respond to different situations.

Abstract:
San Mao (English pen name Echo), a famous wandering female writer from Taiwan, China, has influenced the growth of several generations of Chinese people, especially Chinese women, with her works and life experiences. Taking the English version of San Mao’s most famous work, Stories of the Sahara, as an example, this paper analyzes the English version, especially the translator Mike Fu's representation of San Mao's female image. The article holds that San Mao, as a narrator, bystander and witness of Saharan life, has a rich personal image, which is influenced by both eastern culture and western culture. Translator Mike Fu insists on "faithfulness" and has androgynous translation consciousness, which successfully reproduces the image of San Mao. Through the foreign translation platforms of China literature, such as Paper-Republic, and the promotion of foreign mainstream medias, the English version has gained more readers and comments, and San Mao has formed an irreplaceable female image through the understanding of different readers.

Abstract:
The article considers psychological aspects of androgynous, dual human nature promoting harmonious relationship among the people, interaction between feminity and masculinity. The concepts of androgyne, androgynity and androgynization which correspond to cultural and socio-political conditions of traditional, modern and post-modern society are introduced. The article examines the history and evolution of the phenomenon of androgyne in ancient mythology, medieval religious philosophy, modern philosophy, present-day psychological science and practice. The author comes to the conclusion that there are two kinds of psychological androgynity: symbolic and real. The real androgynity became the subject of special psychological researches, caused the renunciation of the symbolic one and can be regarded as an important individual feature and human advantage. The transformation of the concept of androgyne is analyzed: from its interpretation as а first man to divine, ritual, psychological androgyne finally regarded as a "post-gender". The results of the study on "Psychological gender in socio-cultural dimension" conducted under the auspices of the Laboratory for Sociological Researches of MGIMO-University (School of International Journalism) are presented.

Abstract:
Attitudes concerning gender and grief were investigated using a convenience sample of 106 men and women ages 23 to 82 years. Participants rated conjugal grief behaviors of target figures for sympathy and appropriateness on the Attitudes Toward Gender and Grief Scale, rated their own sex-role type on the Bem Sex Role Inventory, and provided demographic information and a brief grief history. Results from factor analysis of the Attitudes Toward Gender and Grief Scale showed evidence for the construct validity of the scale by yielding three factors: sympathy, appropriateness of instrumental grief, and appropriateness of intuitive grief. The hypothesis that factor analysis of the Attitudes Toward Gender and Grief Scale would show that vignettes describing gender-stereotypical grief behavior would load positively on factors for sympathy and appropriateness was not confirmed. However, the hypothesis that female participants would give more sympathy to grieving people than males was confirmed. Contrary to expectation, participants did not give female target figures more sympathy than male figures; women did not give the most sympathy to female target figures; and men did not give male target figures the least sympathy. As hypothesized, feminine sex-typed and androgynous participants gave more sympathy to grieving people than masculine sex-typed participants. Findings were discussed in terms of evolutionary, developmental, and sex-role socialization theories.

Abstract:
Background. The article deals with the problem of gender differences in the organization of cognitive processes, which is extremely relevant in theoretical and practical terms. The problem is considered on the example of interpretation and generalization of gender-relevant material by representatives of different gender identity and sex. Objective. The aim is to identify the features of thinking activity which are based on different gender identities, as well as to study the content of such features in case they are found. Methods. To form a sample, a test method for diagnosing gender identity was used (S. Bem, modified by V.A. Labunskaya and M.V. Burakova). Experimental methods were used to study thinking. The method «Interpretation of Proverbs» analyzed the results of interpretations of metaphorical sayings. The method «The Extra Fourth» analyzed the results of generalization of the images’ meaning. Sample. 78 people with at least an incomplete higher education, 39 female and 39 male subjects took part in the study. Results. Androgynous subjects demonstrate the least semantic, evaluative and aggressive distortions of the meaning of gender-relevant proverbs and the highest metaphorical level of their interpretation. Masculine subjects show a decrease in the level of generalization and the predominance of situational interpretations of proverbs based on their personal experience. Masculine women are more likely to have a misunderstanding of the meaning of the proverb. Masculine men are more likely to show aggressive distortions of meaning and evaluations. Conclusions. There are features of mental activity associated with the GI of the subjects. They are selective in nature and are associated exclusively with the understanding and interpretation of gender-relevant material. The tendency to violate the objectivity of thinking is most clearly manifested in masculine subjects, especially in women ⸻ due to their discovery of clearer contradictions between their own social situation and the content of the material. A smaller percentage of selective distortions in feminine subjects may be explained by possible conformity, which reduces the importance of gender material, and in androgynous subjects it may be a sign of their internal non-conflict, meaningful harmony of this topic for them.

The purpose of the study, the results of which are briefly presented in this article, was to assess the influence of traditional Chinese thought on women. The following research methods were chosen: historical scientific method, abstract-logical scientific method, formal-legal scientific method, comparative analysis method, scientific objectivism method.Briefly, the results of the study can be presented as follows: practices such as meditation, wushu, qigong have a direct impact on women around the world due to their use for exclusively health purposes. In this sense, it is appropriate to assume that in this way Chinese philosophy can influence the worldview of people (in particular, women). At the same time, from the point of view of Chinese philosophy, a woman plays a subordinate role in relation to a man.The author makes the following conclusions. In our opinion, one of the ways that can adapt traditional Chinese teachings to the realities of today should be the idea of using a woman not only as a homemaker, but also as a manager, negotiator, manager (transformation concepts of Taoism). Thus, the ability to negotiate, based on modern scientific psychology, is inherent in people with an androgynous type of thinking. And in this sense, men should learn communication skills, first of all, from women. This may be relevant not only from a moral point of view, but also from the point of view of the development of modern economics. Moreover, this idea is quite applicable to other countries, including Russia.

The article is devoted to the development of adult education, its andragogical principles and the impact on the quality of lifelong pedagogical education. The authors examined the mechanisms for improving the quality of lifelong pedagogical education by updating the content, developing and implementing innovative teaching technologies following new European guidelines and concepts in education, taking into account national educational traditions. In the article, the authors considered the basic concepts of andragogy, investigated the specifics of andragogical processes, the world experience in adult education. The authors noted that adult education today is based on continuous learning, self-education, and self-development. People will have to retrain 2-3 times in life; they will retrain at least once in adulthood. The research methodology is based on personality-activity and systematic approaches. As a result of theoretical and methodological research, the authors proposed a mechanism based on information technology (distance learning), the principles of androgynous learning and the specific features of adult learning (which the authors divided into three groups). This mechanism can increase the effectiveness of andragogical education in developing an educational trajectory. Further research is the search for ways of state financing of adragogical education and the development of indicators of its effectiveness.

Abstract:
The film has the power to influence gender ideology. The preservation of gender ideology can be noticed in the portrayal of women as weak people who are always intimidated both physically, sexually, and economically. The image of women as weak creatures is depicted in the Layangan Putus film series. These film series reach the highest rank in several Southeast Asian countries. The film describes a wife's pressure from her husband's affair and her struggle to overcome it. This study aims to analyze the representations of women in the context of images and scenarios in a film shown in the film series Layangan Putus using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Barthes introduces the concept of denotation, connotations, and myths. The results revealed that the denotation analysis and connotation level in the Layangan Putus film series confirm women's opposition to gender roles. Furthermore, this opposition aligns with Liberal Feminism seeking to liberate women from male domination. Liberal feminists aim to liberate women from gender-based constraints, challenging the lower status assigned to them solely due to their sex. On the other hand, true equality can be achieved by embracing androgynous perspectives, recognizing that both men and women possess characteristics of femininity and masculinity.

Abstract:
The release of Oli London's Plastic Is Fantastic (2021), which talks about his fantasy of plastic surgery, has been extensively criticized. One of the reasons is that his music video was released during Pride Month, a month when the LGBTQ community advocates for their rights for gender equality, followed by other videos and tweets declaring his post-surgery transition to "non-binary" and “Korean.” To dig deeper into this assertion, this study combines Fairclough's (2003) three-dimensional theory as the framework and Machin's (2010) semiotic analysis to examine the song lyrics, visuals, and sociocultural background, thereby contributing to the Multimodal Discourse Analysis studies. This study intends to investigate the construction of gender and identity in Plastic Is Fantastic, the underlying power systems present, and how the power systems subvert gender and Korean identity. Research shows that the lyrics and visuals are connected with Korean identity due to the usage of Korean in the songs and the performer's androgynous appearance and behavior throughout the video. These practices produced problems, especially when his plastic surgery-related social media activity was stirred up by mass media as he consistently equated and exploited his trans status with other minority groups, such as Koreans, LGBTQ, and transracial people. Thus, the subversion of gender and identity is present since identity production is commodified.

Abstract:
This essay argues for the importance of cisgender straight male perspectives to contemporary feminist theory and practice. I identify four lessons to be learned from what I call male affirmative feminist theory written by people of all genders, defined as any feminist thought that considers cis men critical interlocutors to feminism and legitimate subjects of gender and sexual freedom projects. These lessons include the value of androgynous thinking; the necessity of anti-essentialist approaches to male gender; the importance of understanding nonviolent and anti-sexist male perspectives on gender dynamics; and the potential queer investment that cis straight men might have in feminist politics, namely the freedom from heteronormative policing. I offer an intellectual genealogy of cis male contributions to feminist thought, followed by a close reading of Mike Mills's Academy Award–winning film Beginners (2010). The movie presents a visual account of straight male masculinity as it is positively impacted and influenced by feminist and queer perspectives, without necessarily becoming them. The film makes a powerful male feminist argument for the value of “beginning,” asking what feminist and left social justice projects might gain by splitting their gaze between a focus on failed relations across gendered difference—grounded in the seemingly endless betrayal of women and queers by straight cis men—and a productive openness to the inauguration of unexpected relationships between all gendered subjects.

The anthropological revolution, which fell on the XX and XXI centuries, turned not only the ideological (philosophical) perception of the world by society, but also made changes to the socio-cultural aspect of life, expanding the idea of the desires of surrounding people and adding such concepts as "sex" and "gender". In turn, postantropological time, that is, the period after the great cultural and social crisis, significantly expanded the capabilities of society in relation to legalization of a new type of human — "non-binary gender". Despite the new realities, modern Russia adheres to the traditional binary gender system, in which the terms "sex" and "gender" are opposite categories, separating men and women. The article studies the philosophy of the phenomenon of androgyny, which was studied by thinkers and public figures of many eras. This movement had a great influence on the works of contemporaries, including Judith Butler, who, as part of her theory, considered the concept of androgynous as a self-sufficient creature. This research shows the connection between androgyny and non-binary gender, studies an alternative to basic theories about gender, which is not included in the generally accepted concepts and emphasizes the policy of the Russian Federation in relation to strengthening family values, long-standing traditions, as well as to the sex definition adopted at the state level.

Abstract:
Anna apple jam is defined as an apple jam that is modified into apple jam in sheet form (sheet jam). Apple anna makes it possible as a raw material for making jam sheets because it has high pectin, which is 9-15% and has acidity in accordance with the requirements, which is 3.46. Katuk plant (Sauropus androgynous L.Merr.) has long been known by the people in Indonesia as a vegetable plant with high nutritional content. Flavonoids contained in katuk leaves (Sauropus androgunus (L) Merr) have the ability as a powerful antioxidant. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 1 factor with 5 treatments: K1 (Addition of 0% katuk leaf pulp, 100% apple pulp), K2 (Addition of katuk leaf pulp 5%, 95% apple pulp ), K3 (Addition of katuk leaf pulp 10%, the pulp of apples 90%), K4 (Addition of katuk leaf pulp 15%, 85% apple pulp) and K5 (Addition of katuk leaf pulp 20%, apple pulp 80%). Data obtained after the treatment of the organoleptic test (flavor, taste, texture, and color) on each variable was entered in the table to be analyzed by Friedman Test. Where as in the treatment of physicochemical tests (water content, antioxidants, texture, and color) were analyzed by F test and if there were differences were analyzed by 5% LSD test. The best treatment based on effectiveness index was K2 (addition of katuk leaf pulp 5%, apple pulp 95%) with physicochemical parameter values namely water content (45.69%), antioxidants (96.67 mg/ml), texture (1.17), color b + (7.47) and organoleptic parameter values are taste (4.44), flavor (4), color (4.28), texture (3.76).

Abstract:
This paper examines the moral issues involved in the acts of transcending gender and sex. Attempts are made in answering such fundamental questions as: Is transgenderism necessary and beneficial? Does transsexualism necessarily imply transgenderism? Are natural rights violated by the acts of transcending sex and gender? What implications do development in trangenderism and transsexualism hold for our conventional linguistic resources, identity and interrelationships? Ought humans to be allowed freedom to choose to transcend gender and sex? What criteria should be used in avoiding bigotry against androgynous and in harmonizing relationships with their physician? We review the current state of clinical research with transsexualism and transgenderism, the history of transsexual research, the major moral arguments for and against the practices of transcending gender and sex, and the new ethical dilemmas sprawled as aftermath. The paper critically assesses the arguments on the dividing line of the debate. This paper establishes that the reasons offered for artificial intervention in traversing sex and gender are not sufficient and morally convincing enough. It concludes that instead of the predominant current attitude of aggressive intervention with naturally unique sexuality, together with its attendant discrimination and moral resentment against transsexuals and transgenders, it is more ideal to engage on the one hand, in an in-depth discussion with the concerned people, listen to their worries and see ways in which their problems could be addressed through counseling. An on the other hand, there is a need for public discourse and public awareness on the fluidity in gender and sexual orientation so that people’s attitude to this new development can be better sharpened. Abstract:
AbstractWhat do Christians do when they read? How can Christian reading be understood anthropologically? Anthropologists of Christianity have offered many ethnographic descriptions of the interplay among people, words, and material objects across Christian groups, but descriptions of Christian reading have often posited an androgynous reader. In response to this we begin from the observation that while reading cannot be done without words, it also cannot be done without a body. We propose that an analytic approach of placing language and materiality (including bodies) together will help clarify that reading texts is an embodied practice, while not undermining the importance of working with words. We draw inspiration from the recent interest in bringing linguistic anthropology and materiality studies together into the same analytic frame of “language materiality.” We explore a language-materiality approach to reading by comparing how the biblical story of Mary and Martha was read by Protestant women in two historical situations: 1920s Norway and the 1950s United States. We argue that in these cases the readers’ gendered, raced, and classed bodies were central to the activity of reading texts, including their bodies’ material engagements with the world, such as carrying out women's work. We suggest that paying attention to embodied reading—that is, readers’ social entanglements with both language and materiality—yields a fuller analysis of what reading is in particular historical situations, and ultimately questions the notion of a singular Protestant semiotic ideology that works consistently toward purification.

Abstract:
One of the most intriguing motifs of Egyptian religious iconography is the representation of ‘pantheos’, a composite deity with additional animal heads and other animal attributes, as well as magical and religious symbols. This group is commonly described in Egyptology as pantheistic, although the new definition of ‘polymorphic’ has recently been proposed. This term does not lean towards any particular area of interpretation, but simply refers to a single visual aspect of the motif. The group of Late Egyptian, Ptolemaic and Roman objects with this type of representation consists of statuettes, magical stelae, amulets, illustrations on papyri and gems. The main feature of polymorphic deities is their additional animal elements, which are attached to the basic corpus. These elements are mostly heads, wings and other parts of the animal’s body, although polymorphic depictions also sometimes contain ithyphallic or androgynous elements. The most important element of polymorphic iconography and its interpretation is the multi-headed nature of the images. This suggests both that complicated thought processes created the composition of the depictions and that they had a close relationship to magic and religion. A polymorphic representation was not a simple visualisation of just one religious idea or god, but was testament to the diverse thinking behind popular and official beliefs in ancient Egypt in the second half of the 1st millennium BC and in later times. The debate on polymorphism centres either on the possible search for a personal, universal god with a solar, hidden aspect or focuses on the magical, practical dimension, which provided protection for the people from evil powers and dangers.

Abstract:
The anthropological turn of the XX–XXI centuries significantly changed not only the philosophical understanding of the nature of man himself, but also expanded the scope of interaction between man and the socio-cultural environment, revealing the need to include new categories, such as gender and gender. The post-anthropological era allowed us to significantly transform a person's self-image, go beyond the binary gender system, and construct and legalize the type of a new person of a "different gender" (potentially asserting its universality), based on already known ideas: the phenomenon of androgyny and the modern concept of non-binary gender, which arose in the mainstream of gender studies. The philosophical idea of androgyny, which has stirred the minds of thinkers of many eras, certainly influenced the current idea of Judith Butler's gender paradigm that meets the challenges of our time. In line with Butler's theory, the ancient idea of the mythological androgynous as the First Human Being, a self-sufficient being of a holistic nature, gender-neutral (potentially asexual or combining the characteristics of both sexes) and unique in its kind is revived and gradually embodied. Of course, in the modern socio-cultural situation, we are not talking about the construction of a universal biological sex, but the internal, mainly psychological characteristics of androgynous consciousness are already actively manifested both in representatives of the modern non-binary gender (transgender, intersex, agender, etc.), and among young people, carriers of culture of the XXI century. In this article, the author seeks to determine the relationship between androgyny and the idea of gender non-binarity, as well as to emphasize the regularity of the emergence of an alternative gender theory that goes beyond the binary gender system.

Abstract:
The teaching profession is one of the oldest professions on earth. The role of the teacher was performed only by smart and talented people, who from time immemorial were only men. The teacher at all times had an important task, which was to educate a worthy younger generation and transfer the accumulated experience to it. Currently, there is a feminization of education, that is, the role of a teacher is performed mainly by women, mainly feminine. The very same pedagogical activity “requires” from a specialist such qualities as dedication, energy and the ability to lead, which are traditionally male. Under the influence of professional requirements, the personality of the employee changes, which entails his deformation, which also leads to a decrease in the efficiency of labor activity and disturbances in everyday life. Many authors are of the opinion that the whole personality is characterized not by masculinity or femininity, but by androgyny. It is understood as the unification of the female emotional-expressive style and the male instrumental style of activity, freedom of bodily expressions and preferences from the rigid dictate of gender roles. Such a personality is considered to be more adaptive. In the course of our research, we found that feminine teachers prevail among modern women educators. In the group with more than 26 years of teaching experience there are more of them than in the other two groups, while in the group with 16 to 25 years of experience they are the least. Masculinity is observed only in the group with experience from 0 to 15 years, and then in a small amount. The number of androgynous female teachers is predominant in all three groups.

Abstract:
The article presents materials from the author’s research for her doctoral dissertation devoted to analysis of the visual arts and the artistic personality in Russian culture of transitional periods: the turns of the 19th and 20th centuries and of the 20th and 21st centuries. These temporal periods have been defined as unstable, transitory and stipulating the intensification of the conflict between the tendency towards preserving the stability in art, on the one hand, and the emergence of new artistic styles, on the other hand. Particularly these time periods have been characterized by a change of value-based semantic directions in the activities of artistic personalities, on the one hand, and the emergence of new artistic styles, on the other hand. The cultural chaos present at the turn of the examined centuries actualized the unstable character of artistic people of both genders, stipulated also by their sociocultural essences (the unity and the struggle of opposite elements — the male and the female), which in our opinion provided one of the sources of the artistic activities, the aspiration towards the artist’s self-expression. The obtained results made it possible to determine the artistic gender as a special cultural-anthropological essence which in the process of artistic activity overcomes the sociocultural opposition of “male vs. female” and obtaining in their cultural identity the mutually complementing gender characteristic features of masculinity-femininity, which are conducive to the formation of an androgynous cultural type of personality. The dynamics of the styles in the visual arts in the culture of the turn of the 19th and the 20th centuries demonstrates the specific features of gender self-realization of the subject of activities in the sphere of visual arts and the appearance in Russian art of a large number of women-artists inclined towards innovative art.

Abstract:
Mother's Milk (ASI) contains many nutrients and antibodies to protect babies from infection because it is easily digested and absorbed which is beneficial for optimal growth and development for babies, even the benefits of breast milk have been proven by many researchers. One of the plants that has been traditionally used to increase and increase breast milk is katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynous (L.) Merr), the calorie, protein and carbohydrate content of katuk leaves are almost equivalent. Even the iron content of the leaves katuk is superior to papaya leaves and cassava leaves. In addition, it is also rich in vitamins A, B1 and C. Besides being rich in protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals, katuk leaves also contain tannins, saponins, and papaverine alkaloids. The type of research used is descriptive, namely knowing the mother's knowledge about the benefits of katuk leaves as a food to increase the production of breast milk (ASI). Technique taking sample on study this use Total sampling. Total population is technique taking sample where whole amount sample same with the population. So that the sample in the study This is the total population of mothers who have babies 0-12 months in Saba sitahul-tahul village in 2020 total 34 people. Based on the data analysis carried out, it is known that the majority of respondents' knowledge is in the less category, namely ( 38.2 %) in the village of Saba Sitahul-Taul in 2022.
