Abstract:

Domain analysis is a primary approach to the representation of shared ontological bases in knowledge organization. The growth of domain analysis as a paradigm is demonstrated over a period of two decades. The Domain Analysis Clinic, or DAC is a core methodology generated for focused concept discovery combining meta-analytical theoretical research with the formation of domain-specific knowledge organization systems. The emergence of the DAC as a tool for meta-analysis and discourse analysis has demonstrated the efficacy of focused concept formation for taxonomic representation as well as for theoretical discovery in KO. The evidence presented here strongly directly suggests the continued honing and maturity of domain analysis as a paradigm in KO.

Abstract:

Outpatient clinics in Indonesia, especially in Malang, continue to increase, one of the clinic services that is starting to develop is beauty. Looking beautiful and attractive is a need that always exists in every human being, especially women. The need to perform facial and body care to make it beautiful has had many positive impacts on the growth and development of clinics, one of which is RH Medica clinic in Malang. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of service quality, facility, brand image on patient satisfaction at RH Medica clinic. The subjects in this study were patients who visited, bought and used products/treatments with a sample of 98 respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The analytical method used was descriptive analysis using non-probability techniques with purposive sampling, SPSS analysis method. using non-probability techniques with purposive sampling, SPSS analysis method. The results of this study show that service quality, facilities and brand image have a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction at the RH Medica clinic. Simultaneously service quality, facilities and brand image have a significant effect on patient satisfaction at the RH Medica clinic, and patient satisfaction can be explained by the service quality, facilities and brand image variables of 68.4% while the rest is explained by other variables not present in this study.

Abstract:

The DCA 2000™ clinical analyser for the measurement of haemoglobin A1c was evaluated for analytical quality. The analyser, which utilises inhibition of latex agglutination immunoassay, demonstrated good within-batch (1 · 9–3 · 1% CV) and between-batch (2·2% CV) imprecision, and was not affected by haemoglobin concentration. The analyser was linear throughout the analytical range, and was found to correlate well with agar electroendosmosis ( r = 0·93), affinity chromatography ( r=0·97), HPLC ( r=0 · 90) and EIA ( r=0·98). The analyser was found to give reliable analytical results, and with its ease of use, will provide the diabetologist with HbA1c results in the clinic; although an analysis time of 9 min will limit sample throughput.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic that occurred at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan, China, was a health crisis that greatly affected the world. Therefore, dentists and dental nurses are professionals who have a very high risk of being exposed to the droplets and aerosol particles generated during dental procedures. Furthermore, they also have a high risk of cross-infection from exposure to microorganisms in blood, saliva, droplets, and instruments contaminated with blood, saliva, and tissue debris. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using exhaust fan wall/Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), HEPA filter, and dental aerosol suction in the dental clinic of Academic Hospital Gadjah Mada University. Methods: The type of the research is analytical observational study. This study measured temperature, humidity, ACH and the microbial load in the 3 dental clinic rooms of Sadewa 1 RSA UGM in September 2020, using an analytical observational method with ANOVA to determine the effect of using a LEV, HEPA filter and dental aerosol suction in the dental clinic. Results: Dental clinic equipped with a LEV, HEPA filter, and dental aerosol suction, was negatively associated with room humidity levels, with a Pearson correlation of (-0.777), air humidity correlated with microbial load (0.242), but the correlation was not large. From the ANOVA results, the use of LEV, HEPA filter and dental aerosol suction against humidity has a significant effect on reducing the humidity in the dental clinic with p value 0.05. Conclusion: The use of an oral LEV, HEPA filter, and dental aerosol suction has an effect on reducing air humidity and decreasing the microbial load, affects the number of particles or droplets in dental clinics, and affects ACH.Keywords: local exhaust ventilation, HEPA filter and dental aerosol suction, microbial load, humidity

Supplier selection is one of the important things in purchasing activities for companies, because the selection of suppliers is very influential on the quality of a product. One way to choose the right supplier for the company can be done using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the Analytical Hierrarchy Process method is a decision-making method developed to give priority to several alternatives when several criteria must be considered. Some things to consider in choosing suppliers such as: shipping, quality, service, past performance, payment. This research was conducted at one of Muhammadiyah's charitable businesses, namely at the Muhammadiyah Hospital or Clinic. This study aims to find out the best supplier for Muhammadiyah Hospital. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research approach. The results of the data analysis concluded that the indicators of quality, acceleration of service, credibility of suppliers are bets in determining the best suppliers for the procurement of drugs and medical devices clinics or hospitals Muhammadiyah. Abstract:

This study aimed to assess the impact of virtual clinic on the services'` users during the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic in health care centers in Riyadh. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the study sample consisted of 100 individuals who used services in health care centers in Riyadh. The researcher used the SPSS statistical package program. The researcher reached to several results, the most important of which are; virtual clinics are very effective in improving the delivery of user services. Most of study subjects are fully treated despite not being seen in person. More than two thirds of the study sample 68% consider that the length of time spent with the therapist or one of his family members is a good period. The treatment was explained by the virtual clinic staff to a very good degree (67%). The degree of accuracy, care and skill of the virtual clinic staff is high (69%). Courtesy, respect, sensitivity and friendliness are provided by the virtual clinic staff at an excellent rate of 88%. The virtual clinic staff is distinguished by a very high respect for patient privacy (88%). The staff responds to the patient's questions about the treatment plan effectively and to a high degree (99%). The degree of the comprehensive treatment experience of the study sample using a virtual clinic is very good and excellent (81%). The researcher also concluded several recommendations, including; - Providing adequate time for health care users by health care providers.

Abstract:

Background Quality antenatal care (ANC) is one of the four pillars of safe motherhood initiatives and improves the survival and health of mother and neonate. The main objective of this study was to assess the barriers in the utilization of ANC services in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Methods This was a cross-sectional analytical study conducted over one year from December 2018–November 2019. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Chi squared, and binary logistic regression. Results A total of 1524 women were recruited in this study with mean age of 30.3 years. Of these women, 848 (55.6%) were rural dwellers, 1450/1510 (96.0%) were illiterate, 438/608 (72.0%) belonged to low-income families, 1112/1508 (73.7%) lived in joint families, 1420/1484 (95.7%) lived in a house of >10 inhabitants, while 388/1494 (26.0%) had attended had at least one ANC visit during their last pregnancy. On univariate analysis, the main barriers in the utilization of ANC services were living in rural areas, being illiterate, having lower socio-economic status, remoteness of the health facility from home, bad behavior of clinic personnel, and unplanned pregnancy. Only lower socio-economic status and bad behavior of clinic personnel were independent explanatory variables in the regression model. Conclusions Utilization of ANC services is inadequate in Kandahar province. Improving clinic staff professional behavior and status of women by expanding educational opportunities, and enhancing community awareness of the value of ANC are recommended.

Abstract:

Introduction. The article reveals the role of university clinics (hereinafter - UC) in the system of healthcare institutions in Ukraine and their role in implementing the right of every citizen to receive free medical care in state and communal healthcare institutions at the expense of the state budget under the program of medical guarantees. The results of a medical and social study to determine patients' attitudes towards UCs and identify risk factors for non-acceptance are presented. The aim. To determine the place of the University Clinic of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University in the medical-industrial cluster system of Kyiv city, conduct a medical and social study of patient attitudes towards the university clinic, and identify the main factors of non-acceptance. Materials and methods. The study was conducted on the principle of systematicity, using medical-statistical methods, methods of anonymous questionnaire survey, and analytical generalization. The construction of the sample of respondents is based on the fact that, based on the study of their opinion, it is possible to draw conclusions about the public opinion of potential clients. The results of the study show that university clinics, as a component of the healthcare system, meet the needs of citizens in terms of the effectiveness of services provided and accessibility to the population. With innovative equipment and the involvement of highly qualified specialists from the University's departments in the diagnostic and treatment process, university clinics are increasingly gaining the trust and support of patients. The results of the survey confirm that the university clinic of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets has successfully integrated into the medical-industrial cluster of Kyiv, establishing cooperation with the university, the Ministry of Health, other ministries and agencies, as well as with patients. Analysis of the socio-demographic indicators of the respondents in 2022 showed a significant volume of services provided by the clinic to the population of Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine (with the highest number of visits from pensioners - 83, and civil servants - 57 out of 213 surveyed), thus ensuring the implementation of the state program of medical guarantees for citizens. The risk of low probability recommendations by the clinic is influenced by increasing age (p=0.013) and decreasing educational level (p=0.040) of patients. The risk of low satisfaction with the comfort of the clinic increases (p=0.002) when patients visit the medical facility on the recommendation of acquaintances (patients of the clinic). Conclusions. The positive conclusion of the survey is the absence of a risk of probability of re-appealing to the UC based on the analyzed characteristics.

Cardiac troponins are key diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in acute myocardial infarction and, more generally, for the detection of myocardial injury. Since the introduction of the first immunochemistry methods, there has been a remarkable evolution in analytical performance, especially concerning a progressive improvement in sensitivity. However, the measurement of circulating troponins remains rarely susceptible to analytical interferences. We report a case of persistently elevated troponin I concentrations in a patient with known ischemic heart disease, which almost led to unnecessary diagnostic–therapeutic interventions. A prompt laboratory consultation by the cardiologist ultimately led to the identification of an analytical interference due to troponin macrocomplexes (macrotroponin) causing elevated troponin values in the absence of a clinical presentation compatible with myocardial damage.

Abstract:

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership transformation, work discipline and work-life balance on job satisfaction of employees at L'Viors Kayoon Clinic Surabaya. The data in this study were collected from a 7-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 47 employees of the L'Viors Kayoon Clinic Surabaya using the census method. Furthermore, the analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM - PLS). The results in this study indicate that transformational leadership influences job satisfaction at L'Viors Surabaya Clinic employees. On the other hand, work discipline and work-life balance have no effect on the job satisfaction of L'Viors Surabaya Clinic employees. With this research it is hoped that it can become a consideration for the development of leadership capabilities for management and become the development of theories related to organizational human resource management.

This research is an effort to build an information system strategic planning and application portfolio in the Virgina Aesthetic Company (Farina Beauty Clinic) that can provide optimal, well integrated and innovative contributions that can unite all supporting aspects in achieving clinical business strategies to increase its competitive value especially in health services.In preparing the information system strategic planning framework using the Ward and Peppard Model approach and in evaluating the elaboration of information systems strategic planning and business strategies using IT Balance Scorecard. Several analytical methods such as Value Chain Analysis, SWOT Analysis, PEST Analysis and Five Force Model Analysis are used to analyze internal and external business environments. Strategic Grid McFarlan Analysis is used to map the application portfolio. Abstract:

Predicting the safety of a drug from preclinical data is a major challenge in drug discovery, and progressing an unsafe compound into the clinic puts patients at risk and wastes resources. In drug safety pharmacology and related fields, methods and analytical decisions known to provide poor predictions are common and include creating arbitrary thresholds, binning continuous values, giving all assays equal weight, and multiple reuse of information. In addition, the metrics used to evaluate models often omit important criteria and models’ performance on new data are often not assessed rigorously. Prediction models with these problems are unlikely to perform well, and published models suffer from many of these issues. We describe these problems in detail, demonstrate their negative consequences, and propose simple solutions that are standard in other disciplines where predictive modelling is used.

Pratama Bakti Timah Clinic is one of the First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) that provides health services to the community in the Pangkalpinang area and its surroundings. In these health service activities, when a patient requires special medical care in terms of medical services, medical personnel, medical support, outpatient services, and inpatient services, the patient will be referred to a higher health facility. Considering the various factors that cause patients to be referred and there are several hospitals that are referred to, this condition is a multi-criteria and multi-alternative condition. To overcome this, it is necessary to design a decision support system that will make it easier for medical administration service officers at the Primary Clinic. The decision support system is designed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which is able to accommodate multi-criteria and multi-alternative decision making. The results of data processing showed that the most important factor in the referral of FKTP patients at the Pratama Clinic was the outpatient service factor with a weight of 30.7%, the second factor was medical services 24.4%, the third factor was medical personnel 17.5%, the fourth factor was supporting medical services 15.9%, and the last is inpatient services 11.4%. While the first referral hospital is RSUD Ir. Soekarno with a weight of 31.1%, then Depati Hamzah Hospital with a weight of 27.5%, then Bakti Timah Hospital with 27.3%, and Bakti Wara Hospital with 14.1%.

Abstract:

There is widespread misinformation, taboos, and a lack of scientific analysis about vitiligo. In Bangladesh, there is a scarcity of research on vitiligo, though advanced treatments are widely available. This study aimed to investigate the treatment efficacy of vitiligo in a selected dermatology clinic and analyze the factors that impact the efficacy level. This was an analytical cross-sectional study among vitiligo patients who attended a dermatology clinic for treatment and were followed up for at least six months. Patients were treated by experienced physicians through a holistic treatment approach. An interviewer-administered questionnaire was used to collect information after obtaining informed consent. The data was processed by Microsoft Excel 2013 and analyzed by SPSS 25.0. The mean age of the study participants was 25.14 ± 13.32 years, where 60% were female. Acrofacial (33%), focal (27%), and acral (14%) are the most common types of vitiligo, and the face (n=73) is the most common body part. We have seen excellent treatment efficacy as proven by 94% of patients' lesion sizes decreased and 96% gained repigmentation at six months' follow-up. Our study revealed there is a negative impact of the presence of systemic disease and co-morbidities on vitiligo. The efficacy of the treatment was significantly affected by advanced age, body surface area, hypertension, diabetes, and anemia (P<0.05). Our analysis revealed a good treatment efficacy of holistic treatment for vitiligo in selected clinic. For more effective treatment, control of co-morbidities is essential. The population of this study is people who are currently or have used the services of the As-Syifa Husada Clinic, and the sample is 110 respondents who have used the services of the KIA Poly (Mother & Child Clinic) at least two times. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The analytical method used is path analysis and hypothesis testing using T-test and mediation test using the SPSS analysis tool. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Experiential marketing has a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty, (2) Experiential marketing has a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction, (3) Patient satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty, (4) experiential marketing has an influence on patient loyalty through patient satisfaction. Good experiential marketing can shape patient satisfaction which will also have an impact on creating patient loyalty at As-Syifa Husada Clinic.

Abstract:

A manual column-switching technique is described for the measurement of phenytoin, phenobarbitone, carbamazepine, and carbamazepine 10,11-epoxide. The analytical system is designed to be portable for use at the out-patient clinic and comprises an isocratic pump, UV detector and injection valve, together with a preparation column. Diluted plasma or serum is injected, without pre-extraction, onto a preparation column which replaces the sample loop on the injection valve. After washing unwanted material to waste, the preparation column is switched in-line with the analytical column, where separation of analytes occurs. The precision, accuracy and carryover of this extra-laboratory system are comparable with those obtained with laboratory-based immunoassay systems. Operation of the system allows the reporting of results within 5 min of sample injection and requires no specialist skills. The technique should be of particular interest to district general hospital laboratories where workload does not justify the cost of an automated HPLC system as the total capital cost is comparable to that of a portable glucose analyser. In contrast to immunoassay systems consumable costs are minimal. The equipment is easy to transport and may be used in the out-patient department to provide an analytical service similar to that provided for the determination of prothrombin time at the anticoagulant clinic.

Total population of 187 people and using a sample of 126 people.The result of chi-square test shows that was a significant correlation between independet variable was knowledge (p-value = 0,003), intention (p-value = 0,001), attitude (p-value = 0,002), self-motivation (p-value = 0,010), and family support (p-value = 0,014) on smoker visits. And the results of the regressi logistic test most influential variables which are knowledge (p-value = 0.061), attitude (p-value of 0.060), self-motivation (p-value = 0,0153).The most influential variable was attitude with a result of 3,713 meaning that the attitude variable which are the most influential on smokers visit. From this study, the researcher concluded that the great effect on active smoker who visited on Upaya Berhenti Merokok clinics at Tawangrejo primary health center was attitude.

Outpatient cancer treatment centers can be considered as complex systems in which several types of medical professionals and administrative staff must coordinate their work to achieve the overall goals of providing quality patient care within budgetary constraints. In this article, we use analytical methods that have been successfully employed for other complex systems to show how a clinic can simultaneously reduce patient waiting times and non-value added staff work in a process that has a series of steps, more than one of which involves a scarce resource. The article describes the system model and the key elements in the operation that lead to staff rework and patient queuing. We propose solutions to the problems and provide a framework to evaluate clinic performance. At the time of this report, the proposals are in the process of implementation at a cancer treatment clinic in a major metropolitan hospital in Montreal, Canada.

Abstract Background Neisseria meningitidis (Nm) can cause invasive disease, but it also asymptomatically colonizes the pharynx in approximately 10% of the general population. Older studies have reported higher carriage rates (>30%) among individuals attending sexually transmitted disease (STD) clinics. This study examined the prevalence of oropharyngeal Nm carriage in STD clinic attendees in Columbus, Ohio. Methods Per normal procedures, all patients presenting for care in the STD clinic who report oral sex in the last year are screened for oropharyngeal Neisseria gonorrhoeae (Ng) using nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT). For the same patients, we also initiate cultures using media selective for Neisseria spp. Analytical Profile Index Neisseria-Haemophilus (API NH) and Nm-specific PCR screening is performed on colonies with oxidase-positive Gram-negative diplococci to distinguish between Ng and Nm. For this study, we then performed PCR-based genogrouping on confirmed Nm isolates. Results Between July 2018 and March 2019, oropharyngeal screening occurred at 5,015 patient visits and oropharyngeal Nm was detected at 163 visits (3.3%). Nm-positive individuals were primarily male (69.9%), Caucasian (62.6%), with non-Hispanic ethnicity (98.8%). The median age was 27 years and 5.5% were HIV-positive. Among male cases, 49.1% reported sex with men; among women, 98.0% reported sex with men. Meningococcal vaccination status was unknown for 71.2%, but 26.4% had documentation of prior MenACWY vaccination and 2.3% had prior MenB vaccination. Among the 163 cases, genogroup distribution was 23.9% B, 10.4% E, 9.8% Z, 3.1% C, 0.0% W, 0.0% Y, and 39.3% capsule null locus. For 13.5%, the selected screening approach could not determine genogroup. Conclusion In STD clinic patients reporting recent oral sex, we found a much lower prevalence of oropharyngeal Nm carriage compared with what has been reported historically for similar populations. While NmB was the most common capsular type identified by genogrouping, almost 40% of Nm isolates contained the capsule null locus, making them unable to express capsule. Additional studies should evaluate the effect of Nm vaccination programs on carriage among STD-clinic attendees. Disclosures All authors: No reported disclosures.

Evidence-based data confirm the relationship between an increased availability of effective contraception and reduction in induced abortion rate. In Malaysia, the contraception prevalence rate in 1966 was 8.8 per cent to 52 per cent in 1984, but has levelled off since then. In recent years there has been increasing report of babies â€˜abandonmentâ€™ in Malaysia. The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices related to contraception among women and doctors in Kota Kinabalu the capital of Sabah, Malaysia. Descriptive and analytical community-based cross-sectional study was used. A total of 240 women and 60 doctors were selected from either private or public clinics. The instrument used was face-to-face interview for the women and self-administered questionnaires for doctors. Analysis was done using SPSS version 21. The doctors (80%) felt that contraception is extremely important, and routinely discuss (63%) with their patients. Oral contraceptive pill (97%) is the most common type of contraceptive available in their clinics. About 68% of doctors surprisingly cited that abstinence plays a major part in their contraceptive advice. The average correct answer by doctors on knowledge is 62%. The women surveyed (98.8%) have heard of contraception. The main reason for using is for spacing of pregnancy and many stopped or did not use because of fear of side effects. Women attending the public clinic appear to know more about female and male sterilization and intrauterine contraceptive device compared to those attending private clinic. Further research is needed to reinforce this study.

Abstract Amyloidosis is a group of hereditary and acquired disorders of diverse pathogenesis united by end organ damage due to tissue deposition of misfolded proteins. The diagnosis is typically based on demonstrating Congo red positive amyloid deposits in tissue biopsies of clinically involved sites. Because treatment options for amyloidosis patients are highly varied and intricately tied to the identity of the protein that constitutes the amyloid deposits, adequate diagnostic evaluation now requires identification of the amyloidogenic protein. Traditionally, immunohistochemistry with antibodies to amyloid-associated proteins was the clinical technique of choice for subtyping amyloid deposits in tissue sections. This technique suffers from poor analytical sensitivity and specificity and is a suboptimal technique on which to base treatment decisions for amyloidosis patients. We developed a highly accurate and reproducible liquid chromatography electrospray tandem mass spectrometery (LC-MS/MS)-based shotgun proteomics assay for subtyping amyloid deposits (Blood. 2009; 114: 4957-9) from microdissected paraffin embedded tissue samples. Implementation of this assay in a CAP/CLIA clinical laboratory has subsequently transformed the standard of amyloidosis care at Mayo Clinic. Since 2008, we utilized the assay in routine practice to identify 20 different amyloid types in tissue samples from diverse anatomic sites from 4139 patients (Table 1). Although AL and ATTR were most common, the cases include a large variety of unusual, and in many cases clinically unsuspected amyloid types. In addition, the amyloid protein subtypes had different frequencies in different anatomic sites (A partial list of tissue sites and their amyloid types analyzed in this study includes: bone marrow: AL 82%, ATTR 15%, AA 2%, other 1%; kidney: AL 51%, ALect2 18%, AA 17%, AH 5%, AFib 4%, other 5%; liver: AL 64%, ALect2 23%, AApoA1 6%, AA 3%, ATTR 2%, other 2%; heart: ATTR 60%, AL 37%, AANF1%, other 2%; GI tract: AL 78%, ATTR 13%, AA 6% AApoA4 1%, other 2%; eye [primarily adnexae] AL 63%; eye [primarily cornea] TGFB induced protein ig-h3 34%, other 3%). One caveat is that these distributions of amyloid types may not accurately reflect population prevalence. The number of samples determined was 92 samples. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used to determine the effect of service quality and patient satisfaction on the X Tuban Clinic image is multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. Before a regression is carried out, a validity and reliability test is performed for each question. In addition, a normality test and a classic assumption test are performed. The results showed that the quality of service and patient satisfaction simultaneously and individually affected the positive image of the Tuban X Clinic.

AbstractObjectives:To determine the long-term outcome for children treated for recurrent epistaxis, and to compare the efficacy of antiseptic cream treatment and nasal cautery.Study design and participants:Retrospective analytical cohort study of 88 children treated for recurrent epistaxis in 2001.Methods:Five-year data on chlorhexidine–neomycin cream usage, nasal cautery, current epistaxis frequency and emergency room attendance was collected by telephone interview and case record review.Results:During their first clinic visit, 51 per cent of the children had been treated with cautery and cream and 35 per cent with cream alone; 14 per cent had received no treatment. Five years later, 65 per cent of these children were still having ongoing epistaxis. Those who had undergone cautery and received cream had the highest ongoing bleeding rate (77 per cent).Conclusion:The majority of children treated at our clinic for recurrent epistaxis had ongoing bleeding five years later. Despite the proven short-term efficacy of chlorhexidine–neomycin cream, few patients receive further courses of cream or are referred back to the clinic.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the quality of services used to improve the qualityof services, to determine patient loyalty and actions taken by the Husada Sidoarjo Scholar Clinic inincreasing patient loyalty in the Husada Scholar Sidoarjo Clinic addiction. This research is a qualitativeresearch and involves data carried out by interview. Analytical data using interactive analysis models,the data will be analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawingconclusions. The results of the study showed that the quality of health services at the Scholar HusadaSidoarjo Clinic had run well, in terms of human resources, sufficient funds, and facilities andinfrastructure that had met the needs. Loyalty of rehabilitation patients of Sidoarjo Husada ScholarClinic patients is still lacking, this is because many patients are less disciplined, less active in theprogram, and less cooperative. Strategy Development of patient loyalty in Cendikia Husada SidoarjoClinic is done by good communication with patients, giving the impression of a friendly officer, andeasy service procedures.Keywords: service quality, strategy, patient loyalty.

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the effect of promotion and service quality on the interest in using the JKN mobile application for BPJS Kesehatan participants at the Pratama Delima Clinic. The effect of promotion and service quality will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on the intention to use. The research method used is quantitative research. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was distributed directly to BPJS Kesehatan participants at the Delima Pratama Clinic with a survey taking technique. The sample in this study were BPJS Kesehatan participants at the Delima Pratama Clinic. The analytical method used is validity test, reliability test, heteroscedasticity test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research conducted show that the promotion variable (X1) and service quality (X2) have a significant effect on interest in using (Y). So, it can be concluded that the effect of each variable simultaneously can be seen that the calculated F value (42.746) > F table (3.10) or sig. of 0.000 <0.05. The data were statistically processed using the SPSS 26 program tools.

Background and aims: Level of satisfaction and opinion of patients are important factors that might be considered in assessing the quality of health care services. This study aimed to assess the level of satisfaction of patients who visited dental clinic of School of Dentistry, Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, Shahrekord, Iran. Methods: This descriptive, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted in 2015 on 400 randomlyselected patients visiting Endodontics, Periodontics and Implant, Pediatric Dentistry and Operative Dentistry Departments of Dental Clinic of School of Dentistry, Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences. A questionnaire encompassing demographic information and perspectives on dental care, some clinic-related factors, quality of received services, waiting time, and behavior of dental clinicians and personnel was filled out by the patients. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: Of all the patients, 77% (n=310) reported improvement in their conditions and were completely satisfied with the received services; 12% reported worsening conditions and so they were dissatisfied with the treatments; and 19.5% (n=78) reported no change in their conditions. The highest level of satisfaction was related to quick presence of dental clinicians and their behavior. Patients were mainly dissatisfied with the treatment costs and welfare services. Conclusion: Satisfaction of patients with the services provided by the dental clinic of School of Dentistry, Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences was at an acceptable level. Items causing dissatisfaction in the patients should be properly addressed in order to maximize the satisfaction rate of patients with the services provided in this clinic.

Abstract:

Background: COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a public health threat. Rapid antigen tests (RATs) for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection will help in formulation of clinical and public health strategies for the control of transmission. In India, 49% of COVID-19 tests done are RATs.1 The sensitivity of RAT is 50.6–84%. RAT has specificity ranging from 99.3% to 100%.2 The present study aims at evaluating the RAT screening test done on people attending fever clinic of Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga. Aims and Objectives: The objectives of the study were to evaluate the COVID-19 RAT screening test with reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) as the gold standard test done at fever clinic of SIMS, Shimoga. Materials and Methods: An observational, cross-sectional analytical study was conducted for a period of 1 month, May 2021. The study participants included all the people attending fever clinic of SIMS, Shimoga. Assuming the sensitivity of RAT to be 85%, power of 80%, and precision of 5%, the calculated sample size was 204. Considering non-response rate of 10%, the final sample size was 224. Secondary data regarding contact number of the people attending fever clinic were collected from the COVID-19 test register. Oral consent was taken after explaining about study and assuring confidentiality. Telephonic interview was done to collect relevant information. Analysis was done using Epi Info software version 7.2.4.0. Descriptive statistics such as percentages and analytical statistics such as Student’s t-test and Chi-square test were used. Results: Overall positivity rate was 43.7%. About 71% of people had contact history. Sensitivity and specificity of RAT test were found to be 64.2% and 97.2%, respectively, and were comparable with the previous studies. Significant difference was found (P<0.05) between RAT and RT-PCR results. Conclusion: Significant difference was found between RAT and RT-PCR results which indicate that RAT is not diagnostic for people who test positive in RT-PCR. Sensitivity of RAT is relatively less in our study (but crucial in detecting disease early) and hence we strongly recommend that RT-PCR for those who test negative for RAT test.

Abstract:

While participant-created drawings in arts-based health research, used as a process of producing knowledge are well known, similar approaches with researcher-created drawings are less common. This article describes the journey of how researcher-created drawings as an arts-based analytical approach helped a novice researcher to draw deeper into the interpretive process. Emerging from a positivist paradigm, a proceduralist understanding of the qualitative methods was readily grasped by this researcher, but developing reflexivity and deep analytical insights required facilitation. An overarching interpretivist qualitative approach that aligns with Gadamerian philosophical hermeneutics was used to analyze participant observation data (field notes, researcher-created drawings) of decision-making encounters between families of youth with brachial plexus birth injuries and the health care team in the clinic setting. Drawing acted as an analytical catalyst such that the task of creating a visual product helped this researcher to look beyond descriptive, factual and procedural information in participant observation data. Drawing created spontaneity that fostered freedom to interpret, while hermeneutic reflection created self-dialogue about understandings that arose from all data sources. Reflexivity was cultivated through deliberating on the creative process that resulted in choices of composition and content to represent the observed sessions. Drawing can help qualitative researchers animate their analyses through a visible and accountable method of constructing new knowledge.
