Abstract:
We offer a new method for analyzing the electromagnetic field scattered from the objects. The method is based on calculating the field gradients in the incidence and scattering space in a bistatic radar scheme. The analysis of the differences between the real target and artificial jam-producing object showed the high sensitivity and efficiency of the method used, because the topology of the two-dimensional field scattering gradients pattern varies significantly for these two objects. We detected substantial polarization dependence of the scattered field gradients, which together with the topological portraits of the scattered field itself make it possible to find a new approach to the target discrimination. The analysis we did allows us to develop a target detection strategy for an artificial object by the controlled change of the incident and scattered angles (viewing angles) in accordance with the laws obtained in topological portraits of the gradients of electromagnetic fields scattered over a wide angular range from the objects. Findings of the research could be helpful in developing specific strategies of polarization bistatic radiolocation based on the gradient analysis method.

Abstract:
The Covid pandemic has raised various legal issues, fueling the scientific debate on the relationship between fundamental rights and freedoms in the global emergency context. Moreover, a case law has started developing within the different jurisdictions. Additionally, constitutional Courts, in different countries, have ruled over potential conflicts of interest among central powers and local ones, and even some decisa of the Court of Justice of the European Union have started “blossoming” in this area. Against the backdrop of this analysis, the paper discusses the main legal problems sparked off by the declaration of the state of emergency, with a focus on the main EU jurisdictions and with glimpses of non-EU countries. The aim of this is to discuss the balance between fundamental rights and liberties in decisa in different legal systems, as well as the interpretation given to principles of proportionality of the public health measures, adequacy, precaution and loyal collaboration and the relationship between freedom and limits to public power. Bearing this in mind, the purpose of the work is to demonstrate that, first and foremost, in Europe there is room for both a formal and a substantial recognition of common rights and liberties in terms of interpretation and application of constitutional traditions, shared by the different Member States. The relevant adherence to these principles is guaranteed by the European Court of Justice. Second, the recovery after the pandemic is an open challenge. An important opportunity for Europe and its Member States is materialising, and this is to take a step forward on the bumpy path toward a European Political Union capable of strengthening a structure weakened by several earthquakes. A path and a project still plenty of pitfalls that needs to regroup around a central core increasing unification among European peoples (art. 1 TEU), which has never meant to be an alternative to national identity. Abstract:
AbstractThe Generales Inquisitiones de Analysi Notionum et Veritatum is Leibniz’s most substantive work in the area of logic. Leibniz’s central aim in this treatise is to develop a symbolic calculus of terms that is capable of underwriting all valid modes of syllogistic and propositional reasoning. The present paper provides a systematic reconstruction of the calculus developed by Leibniz in the Generales Inquisitiones. We investigate the most significant logical features of this calculus and prove that it is both sound and complete with respect to a simple class of enriched Boolean algebras which we call auto-Boolean algebras. Moreover, we show that Leibniz’s calculus can reproduce all the laws of classical propositional logic, thus allowing Leibniz to achieve his goal of reducing propositional reasoning to algebraic reasoning about terms.

Abstract:
This paper presents a study on the molybdenum blue reaction (MB) as a finishing detection step in soil analysis for quantification of plant available phosphorus. An ammonium acetate/calcium lactate reagent (pH = 4.2) was used for soil phosphorus extraction. The molybdenum blue color reaction using premixed Murphy-Riley reagent and ascorbic acid as a reductant was reinvestigated. UV-Vis characteristics of MB, optimal wavelength, reaction time and concentration of reductant were studied. The effect of ascorbic acid concentration and the reaction time on linearity, bias and uncertainty was discussed. The molybdenum blue reaction was found to obey Beer’s law in the targeted concentration range of 0.04 – 1.0 mg L-1 PO43- - P. The linearity was proved by “lack-of-fit” test. The uncertainty budget was made and the uncertainty was estimated by modelling approach, as well as single laboratory and quality control approach. The recovery and the expanded uncertainty were found to be, respectively, (95.7 ± 8.7) % (P = 95 %, n = 3) and 9.2 mg PO43- - P/kg dry soil (k = 2). The results showed that the soil sample inhomogeneity and the repeatability of extraction process were the main factors which contribute to the uncertainty of measurement in soil analysis.

Abstract:
An automated essay evaluation system is a machine-based approach leveraging long short-term memory (LSTM) model to award grades to essays written in English language. natural language processing (NLP) is used to extract feature representations from the essays. The LSTM network learns from the extracted features and generates parameters for testing and validation. The main objectives of the research include proposing and training an LSTM model using a dataset of manually graded essays with scores. Sentiment analysis is performed to determine the sentiment of the essay as either positive, negative or neutral. The twitter sample dataset is used to build sentiment classifier that analyzes the sentiment based on the student’s approach towards a topic. Additionally, each essay is subjected to detection of syntactical errors as well as plagiarism check to detect the novelty of the essay. The overall grade is calculated based on the quality of the essay, the number of syntactic errors, the percentage of plagiarism found and sentiment of the essay. The corrected essay is provided as feedback to the students. This essay grading model has gained an average quadratic weighted kappa (QWK) score of 0.911 with 99.4% accuracy for the sentiment analysis classifier.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to verify the relevance of technical data analysis which seems to be useful for identifying predictors of bankruptcy of Belgian SMEs. To do so, a sample of 1,860 Belgian companies, including healthy and bankrupt firms, was used. The sample was constituted using Belfirst software (2015). A mixed method data analysis, coupling the Ward aggregation criterion, the method of mobile centres and principal component analysis, was performed on the variables commonly cited in the literature as predictive of corporate bankruptcies. The results of this study show that the use of these methods is not relevant in the context of bankruptcy prediction using this sample, but the results of the logistic regressions did not question the discriminatory power of the introduced active variables.

Abstract:
Noise prediction on board Ro-Ro passenger ship with a capacity of 145 cars and 600 passengers has been performed by means of the hybrid Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA). A general commercial noise analysis software Designer-NOISE is used. Basic issues related to noise on board ships are described, with particular emphasis to regulatory framework. An outline of the used software is presented together with ship technical data and noise source overview. Noise model is described in details and results are presented for selected compartments both without and with sound insulation. In addition to standard noise prediction output, a sensitivity analysis of noise levels with respect to some design parameters (wall thickness, insulation type and thickness, etc.) has been performed. Finally, conclusions on noise performance of a ship are drawn.

Abstract:
This paper seeks to investigate the impact of Electronic Human Resource Management (e-HRM) practices on attaining Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA) in the context of the Jordanian Industrial Sector (JIS) and identify the mediating role of e-HRM Perceived Usefulness (PU) and e-HRM Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU). Furthermore, it investigates the moderating role of User Satisfaction and e-HRM Continuance Usage Intention. To achieve the paper objectives, a Mediated-Moderation Model was designed. The researchers distributed (750) questionnaires, (615) questionnaires were returned and validated for analysis in HRM and development divisions and based on a Census method with the response rate was about (82%). The ‘Structural Equation Modeling’ (SEM) methodology was used, and for analysis, SPSS and Amos were applied. The results indicated that e-HRM practices had significant influence on SCA. The paper also demonstrated that there was a significant mediate effect of TAM constructs on the relationship between e-HRM practices and SCA. Finally, the findings indicated that the user satisfaction and e-HRM continuance usage intention did not moderate the relationship between e-HRM-PEOU and PU and SCA path.

Abstract:

Saffron is considered as the most expensive spice in the world. Due to low production, high demand and high cost, saffron is very prone to adulteration for economic benefits while putting public health at risk. The most significant characteristic for determining the quality of the saffron is coloring strength (crocin content), which is determined by measuring UV-Vis absorption at 440 nm in the aqueous preparations of this spice. Picrocrocin and safranal are other key components used to determine saffron quality. This article aims to examine the quality of commercial saffron obtained from various geographical locations of Kashmir (India) by determining their apocarotenoid content using UV-Vis spectrophotometry followed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to determine the concentration of saffron metabolites (crocin, picrocrocin and safranal). A total of 31 samples from different origins were used in this study. The UV-Vis spectrophotometric results showed that among 31, only 14 samples fell into grade I, while 9 samples fell in grade II and 5 samples fell in grade III of the ISO category. The remaining 3 samples could not satisfy ISO standards, which indicates that these samples were adulterated. The determination of apocarotenoid content using HPLC analysis varied significantly among samples. These variations may be due to different drying and storage conditions or adulteration.
