Abstract:
Zusammenfassung.Bislang werden meist soziale Benachteiligungen in der Kindheit als Gründe für das Auftreten von funktionalem Analphabetismus in literalisierten Gesellschaften postuliert. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird hingegen überprüft, ob nicht auch Beeinträchtigungen in der phonologischen Informationsverarbeitung die Leseprobleme von funktionalen Analphabeten erklären können. In einem Reading Level Match Design bearbeiteten 54 funktionale Analphabeten und ebenso viele altersgleiche lesekundige Erwachsene sowie Grundschüler auf demselben Leseentwicklungsstand eine phonologische Testbatterie (phonologische Bewusstheit, verbales Arbeitsgedächtnis, Abrufgeschwindigkeit für phonologische Informationen). Analphabeten zeigten in der phonologischen Bewusstheit und im verbalen Arbeitsgedächtnis starke Defizite. Ebenfalls riefen sie phonologische Informationen deutlich langsamer ab, als aufgrund ihres Lebensalters zu erwarten gewesen wäre. Diese phonologischen Beeinträchtigungen scheinen (ähnlich wie bei Menschen mit Legasthenie und Lese-Rechtschreibstörungen) eine Ursache für die Leseprobleme der Analphabeten zu sein.

Wegen der Mängel der medialen Gesundheitsinformationen und bei der Hilfe von Ärzten ihren Patienten evidente Informationen zu beschaffen, ist das Ziel von besserer Gesundheitskompetenz allein durch mehr Medienkompetenz oder Arztgespräche nicht zu erreichen. Dies ist nur durch gleichzeitige Eingriffe auf der Angebotsseite zu schaffen.

Zusammenfassung. Allein in Deutschland verfügen etwa 7.5 Millionen Erwachsene nicht über ausreichende Lese- und Schreibkompetenzen, um in angemessener Weise am gesellschaftlichen Leben teilhaben zu können. Sie können maximal kurze, einfache Texte sinnentnehmend lesen. Diese Personen werden häufig als funktionale Analphabetinnen und Analphabeten bezeichnet. Die Arbeit gibt einen Überblick zu Größenordnung, Ursachen und Interventionsmöglichkeiten bei funktionalem Analphabetismus. Es wird ein biopsychosoziales Ursachenmodell vorgestellt, das biologische Vulnerabilitätsfaktoren postuliert, die unter ungünstigen psychosozialen Bedingungen zu einer erhöhten Wahrscheinlichkeit für die Entwicklung von Lese- und Schreibproblemen führen. Weiterhin wird auf Unterschiede zwischen und Gemeinsamkeiten von funktionalem Analphabetismus und Lese-Rechtschreib-Störung (LRS) eingegangen. Abschließend werden aktuelle Entwicklungen von Trainingsprogrammen zur Förderung der Lese- und Rechtschreibfähigkeiten von Erwachsenen, häufig im Kontext von Grundbildungsprogrammen, beschrieben.

Laut der 2011 veröffentlichten Ergebnisse der leo. – Level-One Studie sind in Deutschland 14,5 % der Menschen im erwerbsfähigen Alter von funktionalem Analphabetismus betroffen ( Grotlüschen & Rieckmann, 2012 ), mehr als die Hälfte von ihnen spricht Deutsch als Erstsprache. Diese funktionalen Analphabeten können nach Definition der Studie maximal auf der Satzebene Lesen und Schreiben, die Textebene erreichen sie nicht. Da der Prozentsatz an Betroffenen in allen durch die Studie erfassten Altersstufen etwa gleich ist, kann man davon ausgehen, dass die schulische Prävention von funktionalem Analphabetismus bis heute nicht funktioniert; zu viele Schülerinnen und Schüler verlassen die Schule ohne hinreichende Kenntnis der Schriftsprache. Eine individuelle Förderung ist in der Schule aus unterschiedlichen Gründen oft nicht möglich, eine Individualisierung kann in einer Lerntherapie erfolgen. Die Biographieforschung zum funktionalen Analphabetismus zeigt, dass die Betroffenen häufig aus Familien stammen, in denen zur Unterstützung schulischer Probleme keine zielführenden Handlungsmuster zur Verfügung stehen. Eltern sehen sich oft nicht in der Lage, die für eine Lerntherapie notwendigen Schritte einzuleiten. Die Möglichkeit, Lerntherapie in Anspruch zu nehmen, sollte aber grundsätzlich allen bedürftigen Kindern zur Verfügung stehen und in unserem Bildungssystem fest verankert sein.

Abstract:
Most languages in the world use some system of alphabetical characters: Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi and so on. A foreigner that does not know the language can get some information from a written text provided he knows the alphabet and disposes of a dictionary. When there is no longer an alphabet, but only pictorial characters, the problem becomes at first unsolvable. Chinese is the main language where an ignorant foreigner is completely analphabet. Fortunately there are methods that after some training allow the recognition of pictorial characters. In our university some twenty pupils of the Excellence School participated to an experiment of Chinese alphabetization gluing a traditional practical Chinese first course with information theory methods for dealing with image data bases. In this article first we discuss both the theoretical foundations. Then we give a report of the merging of the two conceptual schemes as it was performed at the excellence school. Finally we draw some conclusions about improvements of the method.

Hypertension is a typical example of long-term condition posing formidable challenges to health care. Among hypertensive patients, insufficient adherence to drug therapy is one of the common causes of poor control of blood pressure. The objective of our study was to estimate the prevalence of blood pressure control among hypertensive patients and their determinants in primary care centers in Najran area. We conducted a retrospective analysis of administrative data from adult patients with hypertension followed in primary care clinics in Najran area. A representative sample of patients was randomly selected among eligible hypertensive patients from primary care clinics in Najran area. A total of 382 patients completed the survey and had data available for a 1 year medical record review. Their mean age was 62.71±14.16 years, 51.8% were male. The majority of the studied populations were married (96.6%). More than 50% of them were analphabetic (56.2%). The prevalence of patients with controlled blood pressure was 51.3% among the studied population despite ongoing hypertension treatments. Older age more than 60 years was a significant predictor of non-controlled hypertension. We conclude that targeted intervention to improve management of hypertension in primary care setting could make a substantial difference in the improvement of hypertensive patient prognosis.

A saída do Império e a decorrente entrada da República proporcionaram mudanças significativas no Brasil. As antigas estruturas brasileiras começaram a se romper e modificações sociais, econômicas e políticas já eram visualizadas na sociedade, pautadas, principalmente, em ideais difundidos por uma elite iniciante. Em Caetité, território do Alto Sertão da Bahia, a propagação do discurso progressista e querente de mudanças era de responsabilidade de João Antônio dos Santos Gumes, intelectual caetiteense, autor de inúmeros romances e proprietário do Jornal A Penna. Para produção desse artigo, as ideias de Gumes foram colocadas sob análise, especialmente aquelas contidas em seu romance Os Analphabetos e em seu jornal A Penna, objetivando entender a dinâmica da sociedade caetiteense e do Alto Sertão da Bahia após a Abolição da Escravatura e da Proclamação da República. Aliás, é por defender esses dois eventos que João Gumes é, aqui, apresentado como “Escritor-Cidadão”, conceito anteriormente utilizado por Pires (2011) e pautado nos estudos de Sevcenko (2003). Os estudos desenvolvidos nesta pesquisa, portanto, levam-nos ao entendimento de que o território em questão passou, também, pela dinâmica do progresso atuante no Brasil no princípio do século XX, além de proporcionar a compreensão do cidadão João Gumes, escritor em boa parte de sua vida, como combatente dos atrasos existentes que impossibilitavam a entrada dos seus sertões na “época moderna”.

Abstract:
The situation of the Republic of Poland, which was revived in 1918, in the educational field was dramatically difficult. As a consequence of partitions, the Second Republic of Poland inherited a relatively high rate of analphabetism (over 6.5 million analphabets, which constituted approximately 33% of the entire population of the country older than 10 years). As a result of individual differences in the economic, political, social and legal systems of the states occupying Poland, the educational system on the Polish territories at the threshold of independence was largely different with regard to the number of schools, the organization, program and didactic assumptions. The reborn Polish state was confronted with an important task of unifying the system and the level of education. It must be emphasised that this task was actually accomplished. In this regard, an especially important role was fulfilled by the Act on the Educational System passed by the Sejm on March 11, 1932 (the act conclusively dissolved the remains of the educational legislation of the states which partitioned Poland). In the interwar Poland, not only the school system but also the so-called extraschool education developed. The period of the Second Republic of Poland was also the time of explosion of pedagogic thought. The most important theoretical trends in the educational sciences emerged at that time, primarily: “psychological pedagogy and the related great movement of New Education (progressive education)”, “sociological pedagogics (social pedagogy)”, “cultural pedagogy (humanistic, personalistic pedagogy)”. A special object of reflection on education in the Second Republic of Poland and of controversy in the pedagogics of the twenty years between the First and the Second World War in Poland was the question of the educational aims. In the period until 1926 the dominant trend influencing the educational practice to the largest extent was the so-called patriotic education, whereas in the subsequent years citizenship education prevailed.

Rapid technological progress has affected human life in a number of ways because of this fast growth in various fields, still there is a need to incorporate this skill so that we can change life easier for human beings. It is not possible to supply each and every home with LPG through Pipes in our country as construction of LPG is very small. Currently there is a Development LPG cylinder program reservation via IVRS or online that is greatest tough for the uneducated and busy schedulers to book the LPG cylinder beforehand. Next main issue facing users of LPG cylinder is "They are unaware of the status of completing LPG gas" which makes booking the cylinder much more time-consuming, which is mostly inconvenient. For this reason, most of the analphabets are unable to complete the booking, and usually , these phone line telephones are moreover not reachable because of the overcrowded calls or else telephones that are not functioning because of about procedural problems. The advises a program that is automate full LPG cylinder reservation technique without hominoid interference. The device endlessly monitors the heaviness of the cylinder and will automatically send notification to the approved LPG Manager once it exceeds the minimum threshold so that they perhaps distribute the LPG cylinder in step. In conjunction through the Automatic Cylinder Reservation, we have developed a safety measures for the user in which it continually tracks LPG gas leak [1i ]and warns consumer about it.
