La competenza testuale, lessicale e morfosintattica rappresentano tre competenze importanti per lo sviluppo e l’apprendimento di una seconda lingua (L2). Se da un lato, la competenza testuale si sviluppa linearmente fin dalle prime fasi dell’apprendimento della L2, altrettanto non si può affermare per la competenza lessicale e morfosintattica. Gli apprendenti L2, infatti, sembrano non individuare gli errori lessicali e a violare le regole di restrizione lessicale. Inoltre, alcuni aspetti morfosintattici, come la selezione delle forme verbali e l’uso di ordini sintattici complessi, sembrano essere problematici per gli apprendenti. Tenendo a mente ciò, il presente contributo indaga il livello testuale, lessicale e morfo-sintattico in testi di apprendenti di italiano di due livelli di competenza linguistica diversi: intermedio e avanzato. Lo scopo dell’analisi è stato quello di delineare i tratti più salienti in ciascuno dei tre piani di analisi sia nel livello intermedio che avanzato, e quanto i due livelli differiscano fra di loro. I risultati hanno mostrato che sia i testi intermedi che avanzati mostrano una buona architettura testuale. Dal punto di vista grammaticale, i due livelli sono caratterizzati dagli stessi errori (p.e., la selezione non corretta delle preposizioni e l’uso dei clitici). Tuttavia, i testi del livello intermedio mostrano una maggior correttezza grammaticale dei testi di livello avanzato. Al contrario, la competenza lessicale risulta superiore nei testi di livello avanzato rispetto ai testi di livello intermedio, suggerendo che gli apprendenti di livello avanzato tendono a dirigersi verso una struttura del testo più comunicativa che corretta grammaticalmente.

<p>Pasal 875 KUH.Perdata, adapun yang dinamakan surat wasiat atau testamen ialah suatu akta yang memuat pernyataan seseorang tentang apa yang dikehendakinya akan terjadi setelah ia meninggal dunia, dan olehnya dapat dicabut kembali. Testamen merupakan pernyataan sepihak yang hanya dapat dibatalkan oleh pembuatnya, akan tetapi terdapat kasus pembatalan testamen oleh pengadilan. Pengadilan membatalkan testamen karena testamen dianggap melanggar Pasal 913 dan Pasal 881 ayat (2) KUH.Perdata, bahwa testamen tak boleh merugikan bagian legitieme portie.<br />Permasalahan yang diteliti yaitu 1) mengapa testamen dibatalkan oleh Pengadilan? 2) bagaimana kedudukan dan hak ahli waris testamentair setelah testamen dibatalkan oleh Pengadilan? Metode pendekatan yuridis normatif, spesifiksi penelitian deskriptif analitis, sumber data yaitu data sekunder, metode analisis data metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian 1) Pengadilan membatalkan testamen karena testamen dianggap melanggar Pasal 913 dan Pasal 881 ayat (2) KUH.Perdata. Pertimbangan tersebut tidak dapat dijadikan alasan pembatalan testamen, sebab Pasal 875 KUH.Perdata menyebutkan testamen merupakan pernyataan sepihak, hanya dapat dibatalkan oleh pembuatnya, kecuali testamen melanggar norma, kesusilaan, dan ketertiban umum, 2) setelah testamen dibatalkan, maka kedudukan ahli waris testamentair tidak lagi menjadi ahli waris, sehingga haknya menjadi hilang. Tetapi seharusnya testamen tidak dapat dibatalkan apabila tidak melanggar norma, kesusilaan, dan ketertiban umum, sehingga kedudukan dan hak ahli waris testamentair seharusnya masih ada.</p>

Il contributo vuole indagare la presenza, all’interno dei testi scritti di messaggistica istantanea, di tratti linguistici tipicamente riconosciuti come propri del parlato spontaneo. Lo studio si basa su testi provenienti da un corpus il cui allestimento (parte integrante della ricerca) è presentato nelle prime sezioni. Gli aspetti del parlato indagati sono stati la presenza di riformulazione, l’uso della ripetizione lessicale per garantire la coesione testuale e il ricorso al lessico polisemico. Nelle conclusioni, infine, si riflette sul ruolo che può avere la messaggistica istantanea nel processo di avvicinamento tra scritto e parlato nel quadro della storia linguistica dell’italiano, immaginando come tale tipologia testuale possa contribuire alla nascita di un italiano scritto informale.
This paper aims to spark the interest in how written messages contain evidences of the spoken language. This research is corpus-based: in the initial chapters can be found a description of how data were collected to make the corpus. Reformulation, lexical repetition in textual cohesion and polysemic lexicon were recognized as linguistic aspects linked with the spoken language. In conclusion, how messages may be the way of a new contact between writing and speaking in the history of the Italian language will be revealed. Moreover, these texts are likely to represent an important development in a new form of informal written Italian.

Definito il concetto di brand reticolare, gli autori propongono una procedura di analisi per un suo utilizzo nella ricerca empirica. Tale strumento interpretativo č utilizzato nell'analisi del caso Val di Cornia (Toscana), una rete di comuni che cooperano per lo sviluppo locale. Grazie alla- che costituisce una novitÀ metodologica in tale ambito di ricerca - gli autori riflettono sulla capacitÀ della rete di favorire un cambio di immagine e, dunque, effetti didell'area mediante la definizione di un nuovo spazio fisico da cui vengono estrapolati nuovi elementi identitari. Oltre a testare gli strumenti analitici proposti, i risultati della ricerca consentono di dimostrare l'effettivo processo diin Val di Cornia e suggeriscono l'importanza di una strategia di marchio ben definita ai fini di una sua sostenibilitÀ.

La tesi ha per oggetto l’analisi dei principali caratteri del lessico del cacao attraverso un’indagine in prospettiva terminologica. Il lavoro parte dalla storia del cacao per tracciare le origini del lessico specialistico. Lo studio lessicale comincia proprio con i termini emersi in questa prima fase di ricerca. Il confronto tra i profili definitori delle stesse voci in testi diversi e la considerazione delle tipologie testuali di un ambito determinato, ha permesso di individuare le principali caratteristiche linguistiche dei discorsi normativo, tecnico e divulgativo.
Con questo lavoro si è tentato di evidenziare la produttività del lessico del cacao dal punto di vista terminologico tramite lo svolgimento di un’indagine da varie prospettive e, insieme, alcune tra le possibilità offerte dall’ampio spettro di realizzazioni possibili degli studi in terminologia.The dissertation focuses on the analysis of the main characters of cocoa language through a terminological perspective. The work starts from cocoa history in order to trace the origins of specialized vocabulary. The lexical study begins with the terms emerged during this first moment of investigation. The comparison among definitions of the same words in different texts and the analysis of text types in a particular field, bring to light the main linguistic characters of normative, technical and informative discourses. The work aims at underlining the productivity of cocoa lexicon from a terminological point of view, through an analysis from different perspectives and some of the possibilities offered from the broad spectrum of terminological studies.

La presente ricerca, che ha per oggetto il trattato Περὶ τοῦ ἑαυτὸν ἐπαινεῖν ἀνεπιφθόνως (De laude ipsius) di Plutarco, si articola in tre parti. La prima è costituita da un saggio introduttivo in cui si discutono, nell’ordine, la struttura e il genere letterario dell’opera, l’identificazione del dedicatario, la datazione, le strategie argomentative (con particolare attenzione all’impiego delle citazioni letterarie e degli exempla storico-aneddotici) e le caratteristiche formali; seguono una storia delle occorrenze del termine περιαυτολογία (autoelogio), attestato per la prima volta in Plutarco, e un profilo storico-letterario di questo strumento retorico in cui il De laude ipsius è messo a confronto sia con i testi classici appartenenti a diversi generi letterari (lirica corale, commedia, oratoria giudiziaria) in cui sono presenti sezioni o elementi autoelogiativi (alcuni dei quali, come il De corona di Demostene, sono divenuti modelli per lo sviluppo della teoria dell’autoelogio), sia con i trattati – perlopiù coevi o successivi a Plutarco – in cui la περιαυτολογία è discussa sul piano retorico (in particolare Elio Aristide, lo Pseudo-Elio Aristide e lo Pseudo-Ermogene); viene quindi preso in esame il legame tra il πολιτικὸς ἀνήρ e lo φθόνος nelle opere di Plutarco, che regola le modalità di impiego e di elaborazione dell’autoelogio, determinando l’individuazione delle circostanze che lo legittimano e la scelta dei contenuti e delle caratteristiche formali; il saggio termina con una sezione in cui si illustrano i risultati di uno studio preliminare sulla tradizione manoscritta del De laude ipsius, che include la presentazione dei testimoni (compresi alcuni codici non considerati dai precedenti editori), alcune osservazioni sui loro rapporti, un’analisi dettagliata delle lectiones singulares del Par. 1956 (D) e una storia della fortuna dell’opera e delle sue vicende editoriali. Si tratta di un commento ad ampio raggio (filologico, retorico-letterario ed esegetico) in cui si dà rilievo alle diverse componenti (etica, retorica e politica) che la caratterizzano: il testo del De laude ipsius è regolarmente messo a confronto – sia per quanto riguarda i contenuti sia per quanto concerne gli aspetti retorico-formali – con il resto della produzione plutarchea (Moralia e Vitae) e, quando si sono riscontrate analogie o differenze significative, con opere di altri autori.

Più in generale l'idea è quella che analizzando un breve testo, un tweet con hashtag (#) relativo alla tematica della "didattica a distanza" nel nostro caso, il sistema sviluppato sia in grado di determinare il sentimento generale che esso esprime; in altre parole si cerca di determinare l'orientamento (giudizio, pensiero, sentimento o opinione) dell'individuo che ha creato il messaggio.

Premise: In the literary works of our anthropological and cultural imagination, the various languages and the different discursive practices are not necessarily quoted, expressly alluded to or declared through clear expressive mechanisms; instead, they rather constitute a substratum, a background, now consolidated, which with irony and intertextuality shines through the thematic and formal elements of each text. The various contaminations, hybridizations and promptings that we find in the expressive forms, the rhetorical procedures and the linguistic and thematic choices of post-modern literary texts are shaped as fluid and familiar categories. Exchanges and passages are no longer only allowed but also
inevitable; the post-modern imagination is made up of an agglomeration of discourses that are no longer really separable, built up from texts that blend and quote one another, composing, each with its own specificities, the great family of the cultural products of our social scenario. A literary work, therefore, is not only a whole phenomenon, delimited hic et nunc by a beginning and an ending, but is a fragment of that complex, dense and boundless network that is given by the continual interrelations between human forms of communication and symbolization.
The research hypothesis: A vision is delineated of comparative literature as a discipline attentive to the social contexts in which texts take shape and move and to the media-type consistency that literary phenomena inevitably take on. Hence literature is seen as an open systematicity that chooses to be contaminated by other languages and other discursive practices of an imagination that is more than ever polymorphic and irregular. Inside this interpretative framework the aim is to focus the analysis on the relationship that postmodern literature establishes with advertising discourse. On one side post-modern literature is inserted in the world of communication, loudly asserting the blending and reciprocal contamination of literary modes with media ones, absorbing their languages and signification practices, translating them now into thematic nuclei, motifs and sub-motifs and
now into formal expedients and new narrative choices; on the other side advertising is chosen as a signification practice of the media universe, which since the 1960s has actively contributed to shaping the dynamics of our socio-cultural scenarios, in terms which are just as important as those of other discursive practices. Advertising has always been a form of communication and symbolization that draws on the collective imagination – myths, actors and values – turning them into specific narrative programs for its own texts. Hence the aim is to interpret and analyze this relationship both from a strictly thematic perspective – and therefore trying to understand what literature speaks about when it speaks about advertising, and seeking advertising quotations in post-modern fiction – and from a formal perspective, with a search for parallels and discordances between the rhetorical procedures, the languages and the verifiable stylistic choices in the texts of the two different signification practices. The analysis method chosen, for the purpose of constructive multiplication of the perspectives, aims to approach the analytical processes of semiotics, applying, when possible, the instruments of the latter, in order to highlight the thematic and formal relationships between literature and advertising.
The corpus: The corpus of the literary texts is made up of various novels and, although attention is focused on
the post-modern period, there will also be ineludible quotations from essential authors that with their works prompted various reflections: H. De Balzac, Zola, Fitzgerald, Joyce, Calvino, etc… However, the analysis focuses the corpus on three authors: Don DeLillo, Martin Amis and Aldo Nove, and in particular the followings novels: “Americana” (1971) and “Underworld” (1999) by
Don DeLillo, “Money” (1984) by Martin Amis and “Woobinda and other stories without a happy ending” (1996) and “Superwoobinda” (1998) by Aldo Nove. The corpus selection is restricted to these novels for two fundamental reasons:
1. assuming parameters of spatio-temporal evaluation, the texts are representative of different socio-cultural contexts and collective imaginations (from the masterly glimpses of American life by DeLillo, to the examples of contemporary Italian life by Nove, down to the English
imagination of Amis) and of different historical moments (the 1970s of DeLillo’s Americana, the 1980s of Amis, down to the 1990s of Nove, decades often used as criteria of
division of postmodernism into phases);
2. adopting a perspective of strictly thematic analysis, as mentioned in the research hypothesis, the variations and the constants in the novels (thematic nuclei, topoi, images and narrative developments) frequently speak of advertising and inside the narrative plot they affirm various expressions and realizations of it: value ones, thematic ones, textual ones, urban ones, etc… In these novels the themes and the processes of signification of advertising discourse pervade time, space and the relationships that the narrator character builds around him. We are looking at
“particle-characters” whose endless facets attest the influence and contamination of advertising in a large part of the narrative developments of the plot: on everyday life, on the processes of acquisition and encoding of the reality, on ideological and cultural baggage, on the relationships and interchanges with the other characters, etc… Often the characters are victims of the implacable
consequentiality of the advertising mechanism, since the latter gets the upper hand over the usual processes of communication, which are overwhelmed by it, wittingly or unwittingly (for example: disturbing openings in which the protagonist kills his or her parents on the basis of a spot, former advertisers that live life codifying it through the commercial mechanisms of products, sons and
daughters of advertisers that as children instead of playing outside for whole nights saw tapes of spots.) Hence the analysis arises from the text and aims to show how much the developments and the narrative plots of the novels encode, elaborate and recount the myths, the values and the narrative programs of advertising discourse, transforming them into novel components in their own right. And also starting from the text a socio-cultural reference context is delineated, a collective imagination that is different, now geographically, now historically, and from comparison between them the aim is to deduce the constants, the similarities and the variations in the relationship between literature and advertising.

On one side post-modern literature is inserted in the world of communication, loudly asserting the blending and reciprocal contamination of literary modes with media ones, absorbing their languages and signification practices, translating them now into thematic nuclei, motifs and sub-motifs and
now into formal expedients and new narrative choices; on the other side advertising is chosen as a signification practice of the media universe, which since the 1960s has actively contributed to shaping the dynamics of our socio-cultural scenarios, in terms which are just as important as those of other discursive practices. Advertising has always been a form of communication and symbolization that draws on the collective imagination – myths, actors and values – turning them into specific narrative programs for its own texts. Hence the aim is to interpret and analyze this relationship both from a strictly thematic perspective – and therefore trying to understand what literature speaks about when it speaks about advertising, and seeking advertising quotations in post-modern fiction – and from a formal perspective, with a search for parallels and discordances between the rhetorical procedures, the languages and the verifiable stylistic choices in the texts of the two different signification practices. The analysis method chosen, for the purpose of constructive multiplication of the perspectives, aims to approach the analytical processes of semiotics, applying, when possible, the instruments of the latter, in order to highlight the thematic and formal relationships between literature and advertising.
The corpus: The corpus of the literary texts is made up of various novels and, although attention is focused on
the post-modern period, there will also be ineludible quotations from essential authors that with their works prompted various reflections: H. De Balzac, Zola, Fitzgerald, Joyce, Calvino, etc… However, the analysis focuses the corpus on three authors: Don DeLillo, Martin Amis and Aldo Nove, and in particular the followings novels: “Americana” (1971) and “Underworld” (1999) by
Don DeLillo, “Money” (1984) by Martin Amis and “Woobinda and other stories without a happy ending” (1996) and “Superwoobinda” (1998) by Aldo Nove. The corpus selection is restricted to these novels for two fundamental reasons:
1. assuming parameters of spatio-temporal evaluation, the texts are representative of different socio-cultural contexts and collective imaginations (from the masterly glimpses of American life by DeLillo, to the examples of contemporary Italian life by Nove, down to the English
imagination of Amis) and of different historical moments (the 1970s of DeLillo’s Americana, the 1980s of Amis, down to the 1990s of Nove, decades often used as criteria of
division of postmodernism into phases);
2. adopting a perspective of strictly thematic analysis, as mentioned in the research hypothesis, the variations and the constants in the novels (thematic nuclei, topoi, images and narrative developments) frequently speak of advertising and inside the narrative plot they affirm various expressions and realizations of it: value ones, thematic ones, textual ones, urban ones, etc… In these novels the themes and the processes of signification of advertising discourse pervade time, space and the relationships that the narrator character builds around him. We are looking at
“particle-characters” whose endless facets attest the influence and contamination of advertising in a large part of the narrative developments of the plot: on everyday life, on the processes of acquisition and encoding of the reality, on ideological and cultural baggage, on the relationships and interchanges with the other characters, etc… Often the characters are victims of the implacable
consequentiality of the advertising mechanism, since the latter gets the upper hand over the usual processes of communication, which are overwhelmed by it, wittingly or unwittingly (for example: disturbing openings in which the protagonist kills his or her parents on the basis of a spot, former advertisers that live life codifying it through the commercial mechanisms of products, sons and
daughters of advertisers that as children instead of playing outside for whole nights saw tapes of spots.) Hence the analysis arises from the text and aims to show how much the developments and the narrative plots of the novels encode, elaborate and recount the myths, the values and the narrative programs of advertising discourse, transforming them into novel components in their own right. And also starting from the text a socio-cultural reference context is delineated, a collective imagination that is different, now geographically, now historically, and from comparison between them the aim is to deduce the constants, the similarities and the variations in the relationship between literature and advertising.

This thesis presents a linguistic analysis of different informative medical brochures written both in Chinese and Italian with the purpose of analyzing how expert-non-expert communication in the medical field occurs in writing.
In Chinese, technical language is mainly made up of common words which, at least if taken individually, are easily readable and understandable for a native speaker; on the contrary, the Italian language for special purposes, which largely originates from Greek and Latin, is made up of terms that are often difficult to understand for those who do not possess an adequate knowledge of this specific terminology.
The following thesis has been accordingly divided into three parts: in the first part, the differences between Chinese and Italian medical specialist language are pointed out, in order to comprehend the structure of both languages and their linguistic dynamics; the second part focuses on the textual analysis of several brochures, in order to identify their differences mainly from a semantic point of view, and is followed by a translation proposal.
Finally, in the third and last part, a translation commentary is given to justify the translation choices adopted.

Il lavoro di tesi tratta un’analisi CHT di una testa motore di Ducati Motor Holding spa.
Si è affrontato questo tema con l'intento di migliorare e rendere più accurata l'analisi di distribuzione delle temperature che si sviluppano nei componenti di una bancata motore in condizioni di potenza massima. Tale problematica nasce dagli sviluppi tecnologici degli ultimi decenni finalizzati a massimizzare nei motori a combustioni interna la potenza specifica, tenendo conto che questo crea un aumento significativo dei carichi termici sui componenti del motore.
Una sempre maggiore precisione nell'analisi termica risulta quindi necessaria e, in questo lavoro di tesi, si è cercato di ottenerla grazie ad una simulazione CFD-CHT (Conjugate Heat Transfer), in cui si simula e calcola contemporaneamente la conduzione di calore nei componenti solidi accoppiati e combinati al trasferimento di calore per convezione in un fluido, ma anche grazie all'utilizzo di mesh poliedriche e non esaedriche.
Queste due principali novità sono presenti nel nuovo codice AVL FIRE M, che è stato lo strumento principale di studio e di lavoro della tesi.
Sono state eseguite diverse simulazioni, sia in regime stazionario che transitorio, cercando di ottenere una certa sensibilità su alcuni parametri fisici e sulla mesh poliedrica. L'analisi dei risultati è stata molto soddisfacente: si sono riscontrate distribuzioni di temperature nei componenti solidi molto simili a quelle ottenute da calcoli termici FEM precedentemente eseguiti dall'azienda.
In futuro si cercherà di affinare l'analisi numerica del problema, eseguendo ulteriori prove, al fine di individuare i setting di best practice sia per quanto riguarda la generazione della mesh poliedrica sia per quanto riguarda il setup di calcolo.

The subject of the essay is the analysis of the staging of Lope de Vega’s novel ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (Castelvines y Monteses), commencing from the tale of Luigi Da Porto (Venezia, Bendoni, 1530/31?), through the rewrite of Matteo Bandello (Novella 9, in Parte II, Lucca, Busdrago, 1554), and the french and spanish versions produced respectively by Pierre Boaistuau (Histoire Troisiesme de deux Amans in Histoires Tragiques, Paris, Sertenas, 1559) and Vicente de Millis Godínez (Historia tercera de dos enamorados, in Historias trágicas ejemplares, Salamanca, Pedro Lasso, 1589). The storyline up until its theatrical-transcodification, has been reconstrued through the analysis of a specific micro-sequence, the one of Juliet squeezed between Marcuccio’s cold hand and Romeo’s warm hand. The sequence is an example not only of the multiple echos and refractions of Da Porto and Bandello’s novels, but also of the intertextual dialogue, where repêchage is being used for surprising resemantizations (in Lope’s work, and after that in Molière).

AbstractThis chapter focuses on the topic of turbine passage as one aspect for downstream migration of fish at hydropower plants (HPP). To evaluate the impact of HPPs on downstream fish passage, it is important to quantify the mortality rate during turbine passage accurately. This chapter presents guidelines and recommendations using basic and more detailed methods. Furthermore, the results of their application while the FIThydro project at the Testcases of Guma, Bannwil, and Obernach, which are equipped with bulb turbines, are presented. Different methods to evaluate fish passage through turbines are discussed. These are modelling methods to assess the survival rate, sensor fish test at the Testcases to record physical data, as well as field tests at the laboratory Testcase in Obernach gaining a better understanding of the impact of fish behaviour on fish passage. The modelling methods reach from simple physical and empirical methods to determine the strike probability to enhanced methods including the physical reaction of the fish up to numerical simulations modelling the fish path and including behavioural aspects of the fish. The results of field tests at the Testcase sites help to improve and validate the methodologies and to develop guidelines for the application.

The textual tradition of the Slavic Gospels shows clear evidence of reciprocal influence between the liturgical version and the continuous text. The present survey analyzes 17 ‘textual nodes’ of the Gospel of John, i.e. segments of the text for which the variants of 126 Greek lectionaries from the 8th-11th century have been collected. This analysis aims to shed light on a scarcely studied aspect of Slavic textual history, thus completing the picture outlined in previous works of the author, which were focused on the relationship with the tradition of Greek Tetraevangelia.

Resumo: a poesia do poeta francês Charles Baudelaire ressoou até a poesia brasileira. Isto porque Baudelaire é precursor do conceito de modernidade e os efeitos desta têm grande influência na formação cultural e acadêmica dos estudantes da contemporaneidade. Foi o poeta que em seus trabalhos promoveu a ruptura com o romantismo e incentivou os trabalhos que atualmente conhecemos. Objetivo: buscar investigar através da pesquisa as diversas formas literárias e demonstrar a influência baudelairiana na modernidade brasileira. Nesse sentido, pretendeu-se constituir um corpus com obras poéticas em perspectiva crítica e demonstrativa, com as vertentes artísticas de mesma temática e período histórico. Método: Foi realizado um estudo complexo de textos e documentos históricos inerentes ao período do modernismo baseados em uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados nesse projeto permitiram captar uma variedade de fenômenos e situações que se construíram na realidade em estudo entre a modernidade de Charles Baudelaire e sua influência na lírica moderna brasileira. Resultados: Através das diversas fontes da pesquisa foi realizado um apanhado de influências de Baudelaire no Brasil, a começar pela sua aparição no Jornal do Comércio, no qual Félix Pacheco promoveu um verdadeiro revival baudelairiano; perpassando pelo poema de Vinicius de Moraes à Baudelaire presente em sua obra “Antologia Poética”. E por fim, o flanêur de Baudelaire, apresenta na poesia de Vinicius. Conclusão: Através de fontes bibliográficas disponíveis. Foi possível compreender a modernidade precursora de Baudelaire e seu processo estilístico, demonstrando sua chegada ao Ocidente, com enfoque no Brasil; analisar com maior propriedade a poética e prosa modernas de Baudelaire e Vinicius, pontuando as influências e contribuições artísticas do poeta francês nos escritos brasileiros; e trabalhar com leituras imanentes dos textos selecionados de modo a constituir uma visão do modernismo brasileiro, essencialmente influenciado por Baudelaire.

Apesar das reduções no índice de mortes no trânsito nos últimos anos, o Brasil ainda tem um número elevado, sendo recorrente os acidentes de trânsito com motorista alcoolizado. Esta condição gera uma sensação de impunidade, principalmente com a recusa em realizar o teste com o etilômetro. A presente pesquisa analisa os motivos da significativa quantidade de recusas em realizar teste com etilômetro, sem a prisão do infrator. O objetivo geral é analisar e apresentar diretrizes de como o Estado pode reduzir as recusas em realizar o teste com bafômetro através de intervenções na legislação atual e aprimoramento dos procedimentos nas fiscalizações. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa explicativa utilizando-se como procedimentos técnicos a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental mais recentes. O método teve abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, com base em dados nacionais e internacionais referentes às mortes em decorrência de acidentes de trânsito no Brasil, relacionando-as ao ato da direção veicular por motorista alcoolizado. A pesquisa concluiu que há necessidade de proporcionar melhores condições de trabalho e treinamento aos agentes públicos em campo, para constatação adequada da embriaguez; encaminhamentos mais céleres, aos outros órgãos ou que tenham ferramentas legais para encaminhar diretamente ao judiciário, os infratores abordados em fiscalizações de rotina. Também, a médio e longo prazo, alterações na legislação para reduzir as recusas em realizar o teste com etilômetro, os seus objetivos como pesquisa descritiva.

Há prejuízos na forma de se enxergar e de se relacionar com as demais pessoas. Os danos físicos, ainda que tratados, podem gerar sequelas psicossociais a longo prazo, influenciando na sexualidade e na reinserção da vítima da queimadura na comunidade. OBJETIVOS: Analisar a relação entre o sofrimento no tratamento de queimaduras e o impacto na sexualidade do indivíduo. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, baseado em uma revisão de literatura. A plataforma de busca foi o Pubmed e os descritores MeSH: “burn” AND “sexual behavior”, foram encontrados 136 artigos com os descritores utilizados e foram selecionados 8 artigos que se enquadraram dentro do recorte pretendido. RESULTADOS: Em uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre sexualidade em queimados, com inclusão de 22 estudos, houve uma associação inversa entre idade e preocupação sexual e estima sexual; havia uma relação direta entre tempo desde o trauma e a alta hospitalar com problemas sexuais. A maioria dos casos analisados apresentaram melhora da função sexual após o início da terapia sexual. Outro estudo envolvendo 362 pacientes do Royal Perth Hospital mostrou que 18,4% dos pacientes queimados tiveram impacto em alguma medida em sua excitação sexual aos 12 meses pós-lesão e pouco mais de 17,2% dos pacientes indicaram mudanças em abraçar, segurar e beijar. Um estudo realizado no VII Congresso Brasileiro de Queimados, mostrou que 57,2% (n = 71) dos entrevistados na pesquisa não acreditavam que seu centro de queimados está fazendo um trabalho adequado ou bom abordando sexualidade e intimidade com sobreviventes de queimaduras. CONCLUSÃO: Uma queimadura pode trazer sequelas físicas e psicossociais às vítimas, que experimentam mudanças em sua sexualidade, imagem corporal e relacionamentos após o trauma, o que pode afetar sua qualidade de vida com o tempo, visto que a função sexual é uma parte integral da vida de um indivíduo. Assim, serviços de reabilitação precisam estar cientes desses problemas e criar programas de reabilitação específicos e significativos para o manejo desses problemas.

Outro estudo envolvendo 362 pacientes do Royal Perth Hospital mostrou que 18,4% dos pacientes queimados tiveram impacto em alguma medida em sua excitação sexual aos 12 meses pós-lesão e pouco mais de 17,2% dos pacientes indicaram mudanças em abraçar, segurar e beijar. Um estudo realizado no VII Congresso Brasileiro de Queimados, mostrou que 57,2% (n = 71) dos entrevistados na pesquisa não acreditavam que seu centro de queimados está fazendo um trabalho adequado ou bom abordando sexualidade e intimidade com sobreviventes de queimaduras. CONCLUSÃO: Uma queimadura pode trazer sequelas físicas e psicossociais às vítimas, que experimentam mudanças em sua sexualidade, imagem corporal e relacionamentos após o trauma, o que pode afetar sua qualidade de vida com o tempo, visto que a função sexual é uma parte integral da vida de um indivíduo. Assim, serviços de reabilitação precisam estar cientes desses problemas e criar programas de reabilitação específicos e significativos para o manejo desses problemas.

O teste de Bru¨ckner é um importante exame oftalmológico pelo qual é possível diagnósticar doenças oculares precocemente. Este trabalho apresenta um método para detectar a presença de patologia na visão baseado em imagens, fazendo uso dos descritores de Haralick para analisar a textura do reflexo e aprendizado de máquina para classificar os casos em normais ou patológicos. O método proposto alcança 91% de acurácia, 90,9% de sensibilidade e 91,14% de especificidade utilizando o classificador REPTree.

The main recommendations of the panel report can be summarised under five key headings: Building blocks: The ultimate aim should be to build rich, detailed and testable narratives situated within a European context, and addressing phenomena from the longue durée to the short-term over international to local scales. Chronological control is essential to this and effective dating strategies are required to enable generation-level analysis. The ‘serendipity factor’ of archaeological work must be enhanced by recognising and getting the most out of information-rich sites as they appear. o There is a pressing need to revisit the archives of excavated sites to extract more information from existing resources, notably through dating programmes targeted at regional sequences – the Western Isles Atlantic roundhouse sequence is an obvious target. o Many areas still lack anything beyond the baldest of settlement sequences, with little understanding of the relations between key site types. There is a need to get at least basic sequences from many more areas, either from sustained regional programmes or targeted sampling exercises. o Much of the methodologically innovative work and new insights have come from long-running research excavations. Such large-scale research projects are an important element in developing new approaches to the Iron Age. Daily life and practice: There remains great potential to improve the understanding of people’s lives in the Iron Age through fresh approaches to, and integration of, existing and newly-excavated data. o House use. Rigorous analysis and innovative approaches, including experimental archaeology, should be employed to get the most out of the understanding of daily life through the strengths of the Scottish record, such as deposits within buildings, organic preservation and waterlogging. o Material culture. Artefact studies have the potential to be far more integral to understandings of Iron Age societies, both from the rich assemblages of the Atlantic area and less-rich lowland finds. Key areas of concern are basic studies of material groups (including the function of everyday items such as stone and bone tools, and the nature of craft processes – iron, copper alloy, bone/antler and shale offer particularly good evidence). Other key topics are: the role of ‘art’ and other forms of decoration and comparative approaches to assemblages to obtain synthetic views of the uses of material culture. o Field to feast. Subsistence practices are a core area of research essential to understanding past society, but different strands of evidence need to be more fully integrated, with a ‘field to feast’ approach, from production to consumption. The working of agricultural systems is poorly understood, from agricultural processes to cooking practices and cuisine: integrated work between different specialisms would assist greatly. There is a need for conceptual as well as practical perspectives – e.g. how were wild resources conceived? o Ritual practice. There has been valuable work in identifying depositional practices, such as deposition of animals or querns, which are thought to relate to house-based ritual practices, but there is great potential for further pattern-spotting, synthesis and interpretation. Iron Age Scotland: ScARF Panel Report v Landscapes and regions: Concepts of ‘region’ or ‘province’, and how they changed over time, need to be critically explored, because they are contentious, poorly defined and highly variable. What did Iron Age people see as their geographical horizons, and how did this change? Attempts to understand the Iron Age landscape require improved, integrated survey methodologies, as existing approaches are inevitably partial. Aspects of the landscape’s physical form and cover should be investigated more fully, in terms of vegetation (known only in outline over most of the country) and sea level change in key areas such as the firths of Moray and Forth. Landscapes beyond settlement merit further work, e.g. the use of the landscape for deposition of objects or people, and what this tells us of contemporary perceptions and beliefs. Concepts of inherited landscapes (how Iron Age communities saw and used this longlived land) and socal resilience to issues such as climate change should be explored more fully. Reconstructing Iron Age societies. The changing structure of society over space and time in this period remains poorly understood. Researchers should interrogate the data for better and more explicitly-expressed understandings of social structures and relations between people. The wider context: Researchers need to engage with the big questions of change on a European level (and beyond). Relationships with neighbouring areas (e.g. England, Ireland) and analogies from other areas (e.g. Scandinavia and the Low Countries) can help inform Scottish studies. Key big topics are: o The nature and effect of the introduction of iron. o The social processes lying behind evidence for movement and contact. o Parallels and differences in social processes and developments. o The changing nature of houses and households over this period, including the role of ‘substantial houses’, from crannogs to brochs, the development and role of complex architecture, and the shift away from roundhouses. o The chronology, nature and meaning of hillforts and other enclosed settlements. o Relationships with the Roman world

Why research Palaeolithic and Mesolithic Scotland? Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeology sheds light on the first colonisation and subsequent early inhabitation of Scotland. It is a growing and exciting field where increasing Scottish evidence has been given wider significance in the context of European prehistory. It extends over a long period, which saw great changes, including substantial environmental transformations, and the impact of, and societal response to, climate change. The period as a whole provides the foundation for the human occupation of Scotland and is crucial for understanding prehistoric society, both for Scotland and across North-West Europe. Within the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods there are considerable opportunities for pioneering research. Individual projects can still have a substantial impact and there remain opportunities for pioneering discoveries including cemeteries, domestic and other structures, stratified sites, and for exploring the huge evidential potential of water-logged and underwater sites. Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeology also stimulates and draws upon exciting multi-disciplinary collaborations. Panel Task and Remit The panel remit was to review critically the current state of knowledge and consider promising areas of future research into the earliest prehistory of Scotland. This was undertaken with a view to improved understanding of all aspects of the colonization and inhabitation of the country by peoples practising a wholly hunter-fisher-gatherer way of life prior to the advent of farming. In so doing, it was recognised as particularly important that both environmental data (including vegetation, fauna, sea level, and landscape work) and cultural change during this period be evaluated. The resultant report, outlines the different areas of research in which archaeologists interested in early prehistory work, and highlights the research topics to which they aspire. The report is structured by theme: history of investigation; reconstruction of the environment; the nature of the archaeological record; methodologies for recreating the past; and finally, the lifestyles of past people – the latter representing both a statement of current knowledge and the ultimate aim for archaeologists; the goal of all the former sections. The document is reinforced by material on-line which provides further detail and resources. The Palaeolithic and Mesolithic panel report of ScARF is intended as a resource to be utilised, built upon, and kept updated, hopefully by those it has helped inspire and inform as well as those who follow in their footsteps. Future Research The main recommendations of the panel report can be summarized under four key headings: Visibility: Due to the considerable length of time over which sites were formed, and the predominant mobility of the population, early prehistoric remains are to be found right across the landscape, although they often survive as ephemeral traces and in low densities. Therefore, all archaeological work should take into account the expectation of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic ScARF Panel Report iv encountering early prehistoric remains. This applies equally to both commercial and research archaeology, and to amateur activity which often makes the initial discovery. This should not be seen as an obstacle, but as a benefit, and not finding such remains should be cause for question. There is no doubt that important evidence of these periods remains unrecognised in private, public, and commercial collections and there is a strong need for backlog evaluation, proper curation and analysis. The inadequate representation of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic information in existing national and local databases must be addressed. Collaboration: Multi-disciplinary, collaborative, and cross- sector approaches must be encouraged – site prospection, prediction, recognition, and contextualisation are key areas to this end. Reconstructing past environments and their chronological frameworks, and exploring submerged and buried landscapes offer existing examples of fruitful, cross-disciplinary work. Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeology has an important place within Quaternary science and the potential for deeply buried remains means that geoarchaeology should have a prominent role. Innovation: Research-led projects are currently making a substantial impact across all aspects of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeology; a funding policy that acknowledges risk and promotes the innovation that these periods demand should be encouraged. The exploration of lesser known areas, work on different types of site, new approaches to artefacts, and the application of novel methodologies should all be promoted when engaging with the challenges of early prehistory. Tackling the ‘big questions’: Archaeologists should engage with the big questions of earliest prehistory in Scotland, including the colonisation of new land, how lifestyles in past societies were organized, the effects of and the responses to environmental change, and the transitions to new modes of life. This should be done through a holistic view of the available data, encompassing all the complexities of interpretation and developing competing and testable models. Scottish data can be used to address many of the currently topical research topics in archaeology, and will provide a springboard to a better understanding of early prehistoric life in Scotland and beyond.
