Abstract:
AbstractWayang have been embodied and become part of the life of the Indonesian people, especially Java. In the art of wayang, there is a local wisdom that is useful to build the character and identity of the Indonesian people which is depicted through the stories and character of the characters. Character building based on local wisdom as the identity of the Indonesian people for the younger generation is very important to create intelligent, personality, and noble children of the nation. Even more so today, where Indonesian children have begun to wear off their original character as Indonesians because of the erosion of globalization and technological sophistication. Respect and courtesy to old people are fading. The individualistic nature is more highlighted so that it feels no longer humanistic to others. That is what is called the term kids today.Seeing this, the right character education media for children is needed. Media of character education inspired by the indigenous culture of the Indonesian people such as the Pandawa puppet comics. Through the Pandawa puppet comic media, characters will be built in the child by planting the values of local wisdom, namely introducing stories and figures of the Pandawa puppets. All characters in wayang stories have characters derived from the original personality of the Indonesian nation. The philosophy of life in wayang stories and puppet character needs to be interpreted more deeply because its essence is very useful for life, moreover to be conveyed to the younger generation. Therefore, the Pandawa puppet comics are needed as a medium to understand the philosophy of life in wayang stories and puppet characters so that they can be absorbed easily by children.

AbstractCitizenship is fundamental in human life. A person who has the right to citizenship will be guaranteed in the constitution and this requires the state's responsibility to protect. However, there are actually some people who are stateless due to the state's withdrawal to their citizenship. This happened to Indonesian citizens who joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) after the Indonesian Government issued a statement that excluded its responsibility for Indonesian citizens who joined the ISIS organization. The Indonesian government statement also affects children who follow their parents to join the ISIS organization. Due to stateless parents, it is difficult for the child rights to be protected by the state, because the child's legal status is unknown. This legal research aims to unravel the legal status of ex-ISIS Indonesian citizen children and the responsibility of the Indonesian government to ex-ISIS Indonesian citizens.

In 3rd International Conference on Community Engagement and Education for Sustainable Development. AIJR Publisher, 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.21467/proceedings.151.23.

Abstract:
Budikdamber is the acronym for “budidaya ikan dalam ember”, an Indonesian term for a small-scale aquaponic system in a plastic bucket. This equipment is famous for its compact size and easy implementation to cultivate fish in households, especially for those with limited space resources. Budikdamber can be seen as the proper solution to support one of Kulon Progo’s critical programs to reduce its poverty rate. The number of animal protein intake in each local community family is one indicator to measure the poverty rate. Hence, Budikdamber allows lower-income families to cultivate fish in their houses to fulfill their animal protein needs. This paper reported the community-based activity to design and implement Budikdamber of giving guidance to low-income families. The general problems of implementing Budikdamber for the community service program were the low fish productivity and sustainability of the people using granted Budikdamber. This program introduced Budikdamber, equipped with a water circulation system to improve fish productivity, hopefully increasing people's interest in using Budikdamber. The design included a solar panel to prevent additional maintenance costs of required electricity for Budikdamber—which has been successfully manufactured into a prototype by the student community service program. A series of activities (including socialization, operation tutorial, and a hearing from Kulon Progo district’s stakeholders) were conducted to bring the design and prototype to Tanjungharjo, Nanggulan, Kulon Progo local community.
