Abstract:
Em 34.000 pacientes coloproctológicos foi feito o diagnóstico de doença hemorroidária (DH), como doença coloproctológica principal, em 9.289 pacientes (27,3%), dos quais 1.122 (12,1%) eram portadores de doenças anais concomitantes à DH (DAC). Dos 9.289 portadores de DH, 2.417 foram operados de DH (26,0%) e destes, 729 foram operados, ao mesmo tempo, de DAC (30,2%). Assim, dos 1.122 portadores de DAC, 729 foram operados delas (65,0%). Em relação aos 9.289 portadores de DH, a DAC mais comum foi a fissura anal (541 casos, 5,8%), seguida de hipertrofia de papilas anais (312 casos, 3,4%), fístulas anais (117 casos, 1,3%), hipotonia anal com incontinência parcial (112 casos, 1,2%), condilomas anais acuminados (37 casos, 0,4%) e tumores anais (3 casos, 0,03%); e a mesma ordem foi verificada em relação às 1.122 DAC: fissura anal (48,2%), hipertrofia de papilas anais (27,8%), fístulas anais (10,4%), hipotonia anal com incontinência parcial (10,0%), condilomas anais acuminados (3,3%) e tumores anais (0,3%). Em relação à cirurgia, das 1.122 DAC 729 foram operadas (65,0%) nesta ordem: fissura anal (317 casos, 28,3%), hipertrofia de papilas anais (267 casos, 23,8%), fístulas anais (89 casos, 7,9%), hipotonia anal com incontinência parcial (31 casos, 2,8%), condilomas anais acuminados (22 casos, 1,9%) e tumores anais (3 casos 0,3%); e em relação às próprias DAC as incidências de cirurgias foram: tumor anal (100,0%), hipertrofia de papilas anais (85,6%), fístulas anais (76,0%), condilomas anais acuminados (59,6%), fissuras anais (58,6%) e hipotonia com incontinência anal parcial (25,8%). A confirmação dos diagnósticos das DAC pelo exame histopatológico foi de 72,8%, em ordem decrescente: condilomas anais e fístulas anais (100,0%), hipertrofia de papilas anais (79,0%), fissuras anais (68,5%) e tumores anais (66,7%).

De 87 gambás, Didelphis albiventris, capturados na região de Bambuí (MG), 32 (36,7%) estavam infectados pelo Trypanosoma cruzi. Os índices de infecção foram 34,9%, 81,8% e 7,7%, respectivamente, para animais capturados em ambiente silvestre, peridomiciliar rural e periodomiciliar urbano. Em 20 gambás infectados as glândulas anais foram examinadas repetidamente e apenas um (5%) animal (GA09) apresentou exame positivo. Foram positivos 7 dos 17 exames a fresco da secreção glandular desta animal ao longo de 18 meses. Material destas glândulas produziu parasitemia patente em gambás e infecção subpatente em camundongos. A análise isoenzimática realizada com amostras de T. cruzi do GA09, obtidas via hemocultura, xenodiagnóstico e glândulas anais demonstraram pertencerem rigorosamente ao mesmo Zimodema semelhante ao Zimodema Z1. As observações mostram que a infecção das glândulas anias pelo T. cruzi em gambás naturalmente infectados da região de Bambuí é baixa.

Este trabalho apresenta a tradução dos fragmentos supérstites do poema épico Anais de Quinto Ênio (239 ca. 169 a. C.). Uma seção introdutória trata de discutir o que se sabe sobre o poeta, partindo das citações dos autores antigos que a ele se referiram. Faz ainda parte dessa seção inicial um estudo sobre os Anais, observando o poema segundo as visões dos antigos e também de acordo com o que é hoje, na forma fragmentária em que chegou a nós, cujo elemento unificador se centra no trabalho filológico de críticos de todo o mundo. O cerne do trabalho consiste na tradução e anotação dos 420 fragmentos tomados à edição italiana de Valmaggi (1945). Os comentários se baseiam sobretudo nas reflexões de Skutsch (1985), Steuart (1976), Warmington (1988) e Vahlen (1967), partindo da contextualização de cada fragmento, assinalando o tema a que esteja ligado e, por conseguinte, explicando por que tal fragmento foi incluído no canto de que faz parte. Em seguida, ocupamo-nos de analisar o fragmento, ressaltando motivações estilísticas e empregos lingüísticos, em busca do significado do texto-fragmento, o que se faz com o uso de recursos diversos, como o auxílio de diferentes dicionários, a comparação da mesma palavra em distintos fragmentos dos Anais ou de outras obras enianas, ou ainda o estudo do emprego de uma palavra em contextos semelhantes de outros autores, ou em diferentes contextos de autores contemporâneos de Ênio.
This thesis presents the translation of the remaining fragments of the epic poem Annals by Quintus Ennius (239ca. 169 BC). An introductory section discusses what is known about the poet, taking the ancient authors quotes that refer to him as a starting-point. In this initial section a study on the Annals is also included; it observes the poem according to the ancients point of view and to what it is today, in the fragmentary form in which it has come down to us, the philological work of critics from all over the world being its unifying element. The kernel of this text consists of the translation and commentary of the 420 fragments taken from the Italian edition of Valmaggi (1945). The comments are based primarily on the contributions of Skutsch (1985), Steuart (1876), Warmington (1988) and Vahlen (1967), and the contextualization given to each fragment, since such procedure aids and enables my search for the theme it is connected with and thus explains why each fragment was included in the book it is part of. I then analize the fragments one by one, mark its stylistic motivations and linguistic uses, and search for the meaning of each text-fragment, which is done through diverse resources, such as the help of different dictionaries, word comparison in distinct fragments either of the Annals or other Ennius works, and the study of a words usage in similar contexts found in other authors, and in different contexts of Ennius contemporary authors.

Procurei ainda reflectir sobre o modelo editorial interno destas e o papel do editor científico enquanto peça fundamental na sua edição. Tentei ainda entender a função social destas publicações como meio de transmissão e difusão do conhecimento científico.

Le constat de la part importante de l'interpretation de courbes dans le travail d'un ingenieur en automatique a amene l'idee d'automatiser cette tache. La conception d'un systeme d'assistance a l'automaticien est proposee. L'ampleur de cette entreprise nous a conduit a limiter le cadre d'application de ce systeme a l'interpretation de reponses-types, utilisees, entre autres, pour l'apprentissage de l'automatique de base. Les objectifs d'enseignement retenus pour anais (analyse interactive de simulation), consistent a transmettre a un eleve-ingenieur une image structuree des connaissances et des demarches utilisees, grace a un guidage interactif, un processus explicatif, l'affichage de courbes par un simulateur et la possibilite de resolution autonome du probleme par le systeme d'aide. L'analyse detaillee des connaissances, indispensable compte tenu des objectifs, fournit l'ensemble des types de concepts manipules, des liens entre eux et des types de taches a implanter. Les connaissances sur les courbes sont ensuite explicitees. Un grand nombre de reponses simulees, analysees de facon structuree, a permis la mise a jour de liens entre classes de fonctions de transfert et allures de courbes pour des procedes d'ordre 2 et 3 avec un zero reel, et d'ordre 2 a 4 sans zero. L'etude bibliographique des recherches en explication pour les systemes cooperatifs complete les specifications de conception d'anais. Le choix de l'outil de representation des connaissances, l'explicitation de connaissances telles que les strategies a suivre, et une gestion appropriee des interactions entre systeme et utilisateur se revelent primordiales. L'ensemble des choix effectues a permis la realisation d'une maquette construite a partir d'outils de representation orientee objets. Toutes les specifications evoquees precedemment sont concretisees par la transcription du modele du domaine obtenu et l'implantation des interactions. Des sessions de fonctionnement d'anais sont enfin presentees

Abstract:
This thesis brings together the two genres for which Nin has become so (in)famous: her autobiography and her erotica in what I have termed 'auto/erotica'. By reading her autobiography and her erotica in and against each other I attempt to explore her development of a feminine aesthetic, or 'womb writing' as a strategy of resistance with which to challenge dominant discourses of 'woman' and the 'feminine', and her exclusion from cultural production. Drawing on the work of Jacques Derrida, Helene Cixous, Luce Irigaray and Julia Kristeva, this thesis explores the role of the border in the cultural production of bodies and sexual difference within Western discourses of sexuality, with particular reference to the discourses of psychoanalysis, modernism and pornography/erotica. My focus is on the trope of the borderline within Nin's texts, which, I argue is less a marker of radical difference than a site of instability offering the possibility of 'other' or 'between' spaces of resistance. This study engages with the politics of gender and genre by drawing on various feminist rewritings of autobiographical theory and Jacques Derrida's 'The Law of Genre' and the Ear of the Other in order to explore the tension between the 'auto' (the selfsame) and the 'graphy' in the formation of the 'bio' and gender identity. I explore how the threat of the other within the selfsame, the tracing of the differance of desire, affects the generic self-identity of 'autobiography' and 'erotica' as representations of (sexual) identity. Nin utilises the radical instability of the autobiographical genre to put into question the 'genre' of gender identity, the gendering of genre and the undecidable border between the 'body' and the 'text', the 'life' and the 'work'. Drawing on various psychoanalytical feminist film theories of the female spectator and the masquerade I explore how Nin performs the 'feminine' or 'woman' of (male) Surrealist and mainstream heterosexual pornography/erotica in order to emphasise the gaps, to hold at a distance, the female from the feminine. The concern of this thesis is the 'ob/scene' margins of 'erotica' and the trace of 'otherness' that threatens the single and self-identical body/text. The 'outworks' or prefaces of Nin's work not only disrupt fixed generic boundaries but also echo the desiring subject's fantasy of gender identity, wholeness and unity. By drawing attention to the role of vision in the constitution of gendered subjectivity and the (re)production of the phallus as the primary signifier of desire, I explore how Nin's erotica undermines a position of phallic certainty by drawing attention to the out-of-sight spaces, of 'ob/scene' pleasures that disturb and disrupt the illusion of 'masculine' phallic mastery. I argue that it is in the 'inter view', this dialogue or movement between (at least) two genres - autobiography and erotica - that other possible representations might be glimpsed.

Dans le cadre de l'aide a la resolution de problemes, deux hypotheses sous-tendent notre etude. La premiere est qu'il existe une base de connaissances du domaine. Cette base de connaissances n'est pas forcement complete mais contient toutes les etapes de resolution de problemes du domaine. La seconde hypothese est qu'en resolvant un nouveau probleme, l'utilisateur exprime une partie de la resolution a l'aide de la base de connaissances incomplete. Nous proposons alors le probleme le plus similaire au probleme a resoudre relativement aux etapes de resolution et une extension automatique incrementale de la base de connaissances. Nous avons realise anais (analogical intelligent system) dans lequel le mecanisme de memoration des problemes analogues est lie a la structure des cas: leurs schemas de raisonnement. Notre systeme s'integre dans un environnement de resolution de problemes ou un probleme est modelise sous forme de taches et de sous-taches. La methode utilisee dans anais s'articule en deux etapes. La premiere etape reduit le nombre de cas a examiner en selectionnant les plus pertinents. La seconde choisit le cas le plus similaire. Cette derniere est complexe au niveau de l'elaboration de l'appariement et au niveau de la definition d'une mesure de similarite. Les algorithmes etudies sont ceux des systemes de reconnaissance de plans, dans les domaines de la conception et de la planification. Des mesures de similarite de domaines differents sont etudiees et une mesure de similarite est proposee. L'application abordee se situe dans le domaine du diagnostic medical

Abstract:
Anaïs Nin's Diary and her fiction have been lauded by critics for their imagery, Freudian allusions, and creativity. What has not been considered, and is equally important, is her Erotica series, Delta of Venus and Little Birds. These books, her most popular, not only address the issues that she covers in her other works, but also ask questions about how humans are gendered, and consider the degree to which individuals construct their own gender identities. In exploring these questions, she presages not only the theorists who effectively deconstruct her message, but also the gender-bending society which inspired them. Queer theory is particularly effective for considering the sexual messages with which Nin populates her writings. Much as Judith Butler de-emphasizes totalizing gender roles, Nin allows her characters to occupy multiple gender roles. Thus, Nin's female protagonists often take on the sexual positions generally granted to men in American society. Conversely, her male characters are often relegated to less-empowered roles. Although these shifts might not seem particularly impressive in our more liberated society, they were undoubtedly surprising in Nin's day. Moreover, it is impressive that these role-reversing characters were created over forty years before the advent of queer theory, and long before the popular rise of the Feminist movement.

Anal cancer incidence is increasing significantly, especially when associated with the Human papillomavirus (HPV). The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological aspects of anal cancers and their association with HPV detection and genotypic distribution. It was a retrospective epidemiological study, with the use of the clinicopathological secondary data and molecular analyses of specimens of anal cancers embedded in paraffin blocks, diagnosed in a reference institution in the treatment of cancer at the Centro-Oeste region in a period of ten years (2000-2010). It was initially consulted a list of 140 cases of anal cancers but only 81 were included in the study. Molecular analysis included the amplification and detection of a viral genome fragment, by using PCR (polymerase chain reaction), and genotyping by reverse hybridization, using the commercial kit INNO LiPA. Data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics, univariate analysis and survival. According to the cases evaluated (n 81), 53.1% were more than 61 years of age, and the majority (63%) were females; 51.9% (n 42) presented squamous cells carcinoma (SCC). Lymph node metastases were described in 25.9%, distant metastases in 8.6% being the liver and the lung the most affected organs, the death was recorded in 45 cases (55.6%). HPV DNA was positive in 69% of cases. In the analysis by histologic type, 88.1% of squamous cell carcinomas (SCC), and 43.8% of adenocarcinomas was positive for viral DNA. The ECC was associated with HPV (p 0.0001) as well as females (p 0.01). Multiple infections were detected in 14.3% of the cases. The most prevalent genotypes were HPV16, HPV33 and HPV18. HPV 16 was found in 100% of multiple infections. After five years, overall survival was 44.3% for the group, the prognostic factors worse were female sex (p 0.008), squamous cell carcinoma (p 0.01) and the presence of distant metastasis (p 0. 01). Survival was not influenced by the presence of HPV (p 0.54). The aggressiveness of anal cancer described in this study reinforces the need of prevention strategies for this type of disease, including the HPV vaccine.
A incidência do câncer anal vem aumentando significativamente, principalmente quando associado ao Papilomavírus humano (HPV). O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os aspectos clínicopatológicos dos cânceres anais e suas associações com a detecção e distribuição genotípica do HPV. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico transversal retrospectivo, com a utilização dos dados clínicopatológicos secundários e análises moleculares de espécimes de cânceres anais contidos em blocos de parafina, diagnosticados em uma instituição de referência no tratamento de câncer na região Centro-Oeste em um período de dez anos (2000-2010). Inicialmente foi consultada uma lista com 140 casos de cânceres anais mas apenas 81 cumpriram os critérios de inclusão e exclusão e foram incluídos no estudo. A análise molecular incluiu a amplificação de um fragmento do genoma viral por PCR (reação em cadeia da polimerase) e hibridização reversa, com o uso do kit comercial INNO LiPA. A análise dos dados foi feita por estatística descritiva, análise univariada e de sobrevida. Do número de casos avaliados (n 81), 53,1% tinham mais que 61 anos de idade e a maior parte (63%) foram mulheres; 51,9%(n 42) apresentavam câncer anal de células escamosas (CCE). Metástases linfonodais foram descritas em 25,9%, metástases a distância em 8,6% sendo o fígado e o pulmão os órgãos mais acometidos e o óbito foi registrado em 45 casos (55,6%). A detecção de DNA do HPV foi positiva em 69% dos casos. Na ánalise por tipo histológico, 88,1% dos carcinomas de células escamosas (CCE) e 43,8% dos adenocarcinomas foram positivos para o DNA viral. O CCE foi associado ao HPV (p 0,0001) assim como o sexo feminino (p 0,01). Infecções múltiplas foram detectadas em 14,3% dos casos. Os genótipos mais prevalentes foram o HPV16, 33 e 18. O HPV 16 esteve presente em 100% das infecções múltiplas. A sobrevida global em 60 meses foi de 44,3%, os fatores de pior prognósticos foram o sexo feminino (p 0,008), o carcinoma de células escamosas (p 0,01) e a presença de metástase à distância (p 0,01). A sobrevida não foi influenciada pela presença do HPV (p 0,54). A agressividade dos cânceres anais descritos neste trabalho reforça a necessidade de estratégias de prevenção para esses cânceres, incluindo a vacina contra HPV.

Abstract:
Біпедалізм у птахів значно впливає на морфологію їхніх кінцівок, яка досить консервативна. Вузька спеціалізація кінцівок призводить до більш суттєвих адаптацій їхнього скелета. У даній роботі досліджені кістки кінцівок семи видів птахів: плечова, ліктьова, променева, стегнова, великогомілкова, цівка (табл. 1). Визначені маса (m, г), загальна довжина кістки (l, мм), фронтальний (df, мм) та сагітальний (ds, мм) діаметри середини діафіза; параметри геометрії перерізу діафіза: площа перерізу (А, мм2), головні моменти інерції (Imax, Imin, мм4), полярний момент інерції (J, мм4) (табл. 2). Обчислено індекси: співвідношення діаметрів діафіза (df/ds), індекс компакти (ik), співвідношення головних моментів інерції (Imax/Imin) (табл. 3). Площа перерізу, головні та полярний моменти інерції відображають стійкість кістки до механічних навантажень різного характеру: на стискання, згинання і кручення відповідно. Форма перерізу діафіза безпосередньо пов’язана з цими параметрами. Досліджена також міжвидова алометрія характеристик (табл. 4, 5). Встановлено, що кістки крила мають переважно еліптичну форму перерізу (рис. 1). Але у представників роду Anas вона округла через значні навантаження на кручення, викликані інтенсивним характером польоту. Для перерізу кісток тазової кінцівки (особливо, стегнової) найбільш типова форма – округла (рис. 2). Це свідчить про переважання в тазовій кінцівці навантажень на кручення при більшості форм наземної локомоції. Але водоплавання супроводжується значним підвищенням навантажень на згинання у сагітальній площині, оскільки переріз стегнової кістки Anas має еліптичну форму. Проте дана особливість – не єдиний шлях адаптацій до водоплавання. До підвищення відносних механічних навантажень при збільшенні маси тіла кістки кінцівок птахів пристосовуються шляхом більш інтенсивного відносного зростання механічних показників. Це демонструє їх позитивна алометрія (для площі перерізу – b > 0.67, для моментів інерції – b > 1.33). Лінійні розміри кісток переважно ізометричні до маси тіла. Таким чином, при біпедалізмі властивості кісток кінцівок зазнають скоріше якісних змін (підвищення міцності та стійкості до навантажень), ніж кількісних (відносне збільшення).

Abstract:
In recent years, Indonesia has introduced reforms to its bureaucracy in response to critiques of the quality of government policy design and delivery. The Grand Design of Bureaucratic Reform strategy seeks to reduce the number of civil servants employed in administrative or managerial positions (structural appointments) in favour of skills-based recruitment into ‘functional’ positions. Specifically, the introduction of the ‘policy analyst’ position as a functional position in the civil service has sought to improve evidence-based policy making and the quality of policy outcomes, by incorporating merit-based recruitment, appointment and promotion. The role of functional policy analysts (Jabatan Fungsional Analis Kebijakan or JFAKs) is to assist policy makers in identifying policy issues, analyse evidence available on these issues, and ultimately make policy recommendations. This report overviews the recent experiences of different policy analyst cohorts since the role’s creation in 2015. It investigates these experiences to better understand the extent to which policy analysts are playing the role intended for them, and the factors enabling or inhibiting this.
