In the title compound, C22H18N2O3S, disorder is found in the benzoyl group (AandB), as well as for four C atoms of the cyclohexene ring. Two orientations were modeled in a 0.583 (5):0.417 (5) ratio. The cyclohexene ring is in a distorted chair conformation. The dihedral angles between the mean plane of the thiophene ring and the 4-nitrobenzene and phenyl rings are 30.9 (8) and 64.8 (3) (A) and 62.4 (7)° (B). The mean planes of the 4-nitrobenzene and the phenyl rings are almost perpendicular to each other, with dihedral angles of 85.4 (1) (A) and 83.9 (8)° (B). An extensive array of weak C—H...O interactions consolidate molecules into a three-dimensional architecture, forming chains along [001] and [010] and layers parallel to (011).

In every case, the cation protonation occurs at the N atom of the thiazole ring and the six-membered ring adopts a half-chair conformation (in some cases, the deviating methylene groups are disordered over two sets of sites). The C—N bond lengths of the nominal –NH+=C—NH2 fragment of the cation are indistinguishable, indicating a significant contribution of the –NH—C=N+H2 resonance form to the structure. The packing for (I)–(V) features a robust local R 2 2(8) loop motif in which the cation forms two near-linear N—H...O hydrogen bonds from the N+—H group and syn H atom of the amine group to the carboxylate group of an adjacent anion [(V) shows disorder of one of these bonds over N—H...O and N...H—O contributors but the same R 2 2(8) loop results for both disorder components]. The anti H atom of the –NH2 group also forms an N—H...O hydrogen bond, which results in [001] chains in (I) and (II), isolated centrosymmetric tetramers in (III) and [100] chains in (IV) and (V). Hirshfeld fingerprint plots and contact percentages for the different types of contacts of the cations are discussed.

Several 6-substitued-1-methyl-2,5,7,8-tetrahydro-2-thiopyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-4-ones and ethyl 7-amino-5-aryl-1-methyl-4-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-thiopyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines-6-carboxylates were synthesized by treatment of 6-amino-1-methyl-2-thiouracil with primary amines and formalin (40%), and with ethyl 3-aryl-2-cyanoacrylate respectively. 8-Substituted-7-hydroxy-3- methyl-2-thioxanthines were synthesized by the treatment of 6-amino-1-methyl-5-nitroso-2-thiouracil with benzylidene-anilines. Elemental and spectral analyses were performed for the new compounds.

Ce mémoire présente l'étude des propriétés photophysiques et photochimiques de deux colorants styréniques : le 4-dicyanométhylène-2méthyl-6-p-dimétyl-amino-styryl-4H-pyrane (DCM) et la 7-diméthylamino-3-(-p-formyl-styryl)-1,4-benzoxazine-2-one (DFSBO). Ces deux composés possèdent des groupements donneur et accepteur d'électron qui confèrent à leur états excités fluorescents un fort caractère de transfert de charge. On a caractérisé les déplacements bathochromes des maxima de leurs spectres d'absorption et de fluorescence dans les solvants polaires ainsi que leurs déplacements de Stokes importants, qui sont dus à l'augmentation du moment dipolaire entre l'état singulet fondamental et l'état excité fluorescent. Les spectres d'absorption des états singulets excités et triplets ainsi que les rendements quantiques de passage inter-système à l'état triplet ont été déterminés. Pour les deux produits, l'existence en solution de conformères a été mise en évidence. Le DCM synthétisé sous une configuration trans-, forme sous l'action de la lumière un photoisomère cis-. Leurs durées de vie de fluorescence et l'efficacité de la photoisomérisation dépendent du solvant. Les spectres de fluorescence du DFSBO varient avec la longueur d'onde d'excitation. Nous expliquons cet effet, par l'existence de deux rotamères dont l'un pourrait être stabilisé par une liaison hydrogène intramoléculaire. Les propriétés spectrales des états excités de ces deux molécules, permettent d'expliquer pourquoi le DCM est un très bon colorant laser, alors que le DFSBO a un efficacité laser décevante
The photophysical and photochemical properties of two styrenes dyes : 4-dicyanomethylene-2-methyl-6-p-dimethylamino-styryl-4H-pyran (DCM) and 7-dimethylamino-3-(-p-formylstyryl)-1,4-benzoaxine-2-one (DFSBO) have been studied. These molecules have electron acceptor groups which give to their fluorescent excited state a charge transfer state character. The red shifts of the absorption and fluorescence spectra in polar solvents and the large Stokes shift related to the increase of the dipole moment from the ground state to the singlet excited state have been fully characterised. The absorption spectra of the first excited singlet and triplet states and the quantum yields of the intersystem crossing to the triplet state have been determined. The existence of conformers of the two dyes has been evidenced. The synthesis of DCM leads to the trans isomer which, under light exposure undergoes photoisomerisation to the cis-compound. Their fluorescence lifetimes and the photoisomerisation efficiency are solvent dependent. The DFSBO emission spectra depend greatly on the excitation wavelength. This effect can be explained by the occurence of two rotational conformers one being stabilised by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The spectral properties of these two molecules enable us to explain why DCM is a very good laser dye whereas DFSBO has a poor laser efficiency

Mitt examensprojekt är en experimentell undersökning av proportionalitet som vägledande princip i den arkitektoniska formgivningprocessen. Proportionslära ansågs länge vara en viktig del av arkitekturämnet, men är idag mest något som hör arkitekturhistorien till. Det ursprungligen matematiska begreppet proportionalitet har utvidgats men i och med det också urvattnats. Euklides definierar det så här: en första storhet förhåller sig till en andra storhet så som den andra storheten förhåller sig till en tredje. En gång i tiden ansågs en byggnads skönhet och dess proportionerliga förhållande delar och helhet emellan, vara direkt sammankopplade. Palladio skriver t.ex: ”(...) i fråga om alla byggnader är (det) nödvändigt, att alla deras delar överensstämma med varandra och hava sådana proportioner att det ej finns någon av dem, varmed man icke skulle kunna mäta det hela och även var och en av de andra delarna(...). Inom detta sätt att tänka är skönhet och proportion sammankopplade med det musikteoretiska harmonibegreppet, dvs hur olika toner samspelar på ett enhetligt vis. Med tiden har proportionsbegreppet utvidgats och vi kan idag tala om hur exempelvis en fasad är proportionerligt komponerad eller ej, och detta utan att analysera dess matematiska egenskaper. Istället hänvisar vi till saker som upplevd av balans mellan byggnadsdelar. Här tjänar proportionsbegreppet väl som liknelse. Men det har samtidigt skett en betydelseförskjutning som inte på något sätt berikar vår förståelse av arkitektur. Proportion används idag som en synonym till ”talförhållande”, vilket som helst. Det är inte bara allmänt vedertaget att prata om exempelvis ett ”fönsters proportioner” när man syftar till förhållandet mellan dess höjd och bredd, jag upplever att detta språkbruk även vara utbrett inom arkitektkåren. Mig veterligen så finns det ingen rektangel förutom den ”gyllene” som i sig är proportionerlig (Den gyllene rektangelns kortsida förhåller sig till dess långsida så som långsidan förhåller sig till långsidan + kortsidan).Jag ser att, det i min mening urvattnade proportionsbegreppet har lett till en del missförstånd och fördomar om vad proportioner handlar om. Att det enbart skulle handla om en uppsättning normer där vissa talförhållanden helt godtyckligt har premierats framför andra. I detta sammanhang är det lätt att förstå den skepsis många arkitekter känner inför proportionsläror. Varför ska man lita på förutbestämda regler framför att lita på sin egen intuition?I mitt arbete har jag mer och mer förstått att olika talförhållanden samspelar mer eller mindre bra med varandra. Att de besitter vissa egenskaper och på olika sätt är ”besläktade” med varandra. Jag har använt beprövade förhållanden och hittat vad jag faktiskt tror är nya harmonier. Även om jag vågar påstå mig ha ritat en till hög grad både proportionerlig och harmonisk byggnad så är förstås kvaliteterna i dessa proportioner och harmonier öppna för diskussion.
My degree project is an experimental examination of proportionality as a guiding principle in the architectural design process. proportioning was long considered to be an important part of the architecture of the subject, but today is the most thing of architectural history to. It originally mathematical concept of proportionality has been extended but with it too watered down. Euclid defines it like this: a first magnitude is related to a second magnitude as the other entity is related to a third. At one time it was considered a building's beauty and its proportionate relationship between parts and the whole, be directly linked. Palladio writes for example: "(...) in all the buildings are (the) necessary, that all their parts correspond with each other, and have such proportions that there are any of them, which they would not be able to measure it all and also each of the other parts (...). In this way of thinking is the beauty and proportion connected with the music theory harmony concept, ie how different tones interact in a uniform way. Over time, the proportion concept expanded and today we can talk about how, for example, a facade is proportionally composed or not, and this without analyzing its mathematical properties. Instead, we refer to things that are perceived by the balance between building components. This serves commensurate concept well parable. But there has also been a significant shift in no way enriches our understanding of architecture. Proportion is used today as a synonym for "voice-holding" any. It is not only widely accepted to talk about, for example, a "window's proportions" when referring to the ratio of its height and width, I feel that this language even be widespread in the architectural profession. To my knowledge there is no rectangle in addition to the "golden" which itself is proportionate (The golden rectangle short side is related to the long side so that the long side is related to the long side + short side) .I see that, in my opinion watered down proportionate concept has led to some misunderstandings and prejudices about what proportions is about. It would only be about a set of norms which some speech conditions arbitrarily has been awarded over others. In this context it is easy to understand the skepticism many architects feel about proportion teachings. Why should you rely on predetermined rules rather than rely on their own intuition? In my work, I have more and more understood that various speech conditions interact more or less well with each other. That they possess certain characteristics and in different ways is "related" to each other. I have used proven circumstances and found what I actually think is new harmonies. Although I dare say I have drawn one to measure both the proportional and harmonious building so of course the qualities of these proportions and harmonies open for discussion.

Por constatar-se uma severa dificuldade na produção textual por parte de futuros alfabetizadores, graduandos em Pedagogia, buscou-se balizas na psicanálise, sobretudo nos estudos da Angústia empreendidos por Freud e Lacan, que permitissem desenvolver uma pesquisa a respeito do que gera tal dificuldade e que guiassem uma análise teórica sobre o envolvimento subjetivo que resulta na marca diferencial entre determinados tipos de escrita. Sustenta-se a hipótese de que há um receio por parte do sujeito em desvelar-se através do suporte (escrita textual) e que a inibição decorra disto. Questionou-se também se determinados textos, que sugerem ausência do sujeito, são resultado de uma leitura assídua que, ao invés de gerar escrita sublimatória, funciona apenas para importar discurso alheio, poupando as próprias formas de o sujeito ver o mundo e as diferenças sexuais. Discutiu-se o formato operacional vigente no trabalho com a literatura, dentro das instituições escolares, e a possibilidade de uma aproximação com as obras consagradas que trafegue por uma via diversa daquela cognitiva. Propôs-se que uma abordagem que autorize o subjetivo, resulta numa particular transferência e sublimação de forma que a leitura se configura em autoria podendo fazer, por acréscimo, efeito de relançamento na escritura.
For evidencing a severe difficulty in the literal production by the future teacher of children, graduated in Pedagogy, searched beacons in the psychoanalysis, over all in the studies of the Anguish undertaken by Freud and Lacan, that allowed to develop a research regarding what it generates such difficulty and that they guided a theoretical analysis on the subjective envolvement that results in the distinguishing mark between determined types of writing. It is supported hypothesis of that has a distrust on the part of the subject in reveal itself through the support (written literal) and that the inhibition elapses of this. It was also questioned if definitive texts, that suggest absence of the subject, are resulted of a frequent reading that, instead of generating sublimation written, it only functions to import other people\'s speech, saving the proper forms of the subject to see the world and the sexual differences. The effective operational format in the work with literature was discussed, inside of the school institutions, and the possibility of an approach with the consecrated workmanships that passes through a diverse way of that cognitive. It was considered that a boarding that authorizes the subjective, results in a particular transference and subliming so that the reading configures itself in authorship being able to make, for addition, effect of relaunching in the writing.

This thesis focuses on the asymmetric reduction of N-protected derivatives of (3S)-3-amino-1-chloro-4-phenyl-2-butanone to their corresponding diastereomeric alcohol products, which are key intermediates in the synthesis of HIV protease inhibitors. Although the stereoselective synthesis of the (S,S) alcohol product is easily achieved, preparing the (R,S) diastereomer is much more challenging. I investigated three diastereoselective reduction processes: 1) Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley (MPV) reduction, 2) asymmetric transfer hydrogenation, and 3) boron reducing agents. The diastereoselectivity of the MPV reduction still favored the (S,S) product; however, I discovered a significant rate enhancement when the standard catalyst (aluminum isopropoxide) was replaced with aluminum tert-butoxide. Many reaction variables were investigated in the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation reaction and the diastereoselectivity was improved to give a ratio of the desired (R,S) diastereomer to the undesired (S,S) alcohol of 9.5:1. Using chiral oxazaborolidine catalysts, an unprecedented (R,S) to (S,S) ratio of 9.5:1 was achieved. Finally, I investigated the effect of the N-protecting group on the stereoselectivity of the reduction. When the original boc-protecting group was replaced with a phthalimide group, the diastereoselectivity of the MPV reduction was reversed to favor the desired (R,S) product.

Qualitative research is focused on the influence of COVID-19 pandemic and restriction measures on sexual and reproductive health in Latvia. Results of the anonymous online survey (I-SHARE) of 1173 people living in Latvia age 18 and over were used as a background in finalization the interview and the focus group discussion protocols ensuring better understanding of the influencing factors.
