Gálvez, Agüero Daniel Emilio, Winder Alvaro Eduardo Poggi, Saavedra Paola Virginia Salcedo, and Chapa Katerinne Amor Seijo. "Planeamiento estratégico para la región Amazonas." Master's thesis, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2018. http://tesis.pucp.edu.pe/repositorio/handle/123456789/12436.
Full textThe Amazon Region due to its high variety of climates and ecological floors has as main economic source the agricultural sector. The region also stands out for its important tourist attractions, which have not been adequately promoted, mainly because of the lack of access infrastructure that allows it to be valued within national and foreign tourism as part of the tourist circuit of the Peruvian jungle. Considering these substantial competitive advantages, it can be determined that the Amazon region has the potential to overcome the social indicators that currently keep it behind at a national level over a period of ten years. In the external analysis, it has been possible to identify important opportunities in the exports of products and tourism that even the region has not taken advantage of in its maximum potential. With respect to exports, coffee and cocoa have shown a high international demand, which is made up of consumers who demand high levels of quality, through certifications recognized worldwide and which in turn have a positive impact on the prices. The internal analysis shows us the need for the Regional Government to create the dependencies that monitor and monitor the fulfillment of this strategic planning, with the purpose of supporting the productive chain, as well as the development of agricultural technology, investment in information systems and investment in infrastructure. Due to the aforementioned, the development of three key industries has been proposed: coffee, cocoa and tourism. The increase of the exportable supply, through an effective productive and exporting chain of coffee and cocoa will provide the solid bases for the economic growth that the region needs; as well as, the improvement in infrastructure and road interconnection will make it possible for tourism in the region to be considered one of the main references at the national level. These three activities, appropriately focused on the strategies that have been proposed, will lead the Amazon Region to obtain the income it needs to achieve the vision established in this Strategic Planning for the year 2027. In this way, the conditions of life of the Amazonian settlers, who will have access to quality health, nutrition and education services.

Full textThe province of Utcubamba, located in the Amazon region, has as its pillars its economic movement the agricultural sector, highlighting the production of coffee which is developed in small family crops among other products and combined with the breeding of animals for autoconsumption. It is for this reason that the development of the organic coffee crop is proposed, since the climatic conditions are necessary. On the other hand, Utcubamba presents a conglomerate of tourist attractions, which have not been exploited, mainly by the lack of access facilities and means of promotion, that allow to put it in value and at the disposal of the Peruvians and the foreign tourists, as part of the northeastern circuit, taking advantage of the ecological and archaeological resources that have. In the vision for 2030, it is proposed that Utcubamba become a regional reference for its Human Development Index over 0.50, developing organic coffee industry and tourism capacity, with road interconnection. This will improve the exportable supply and will be able to take advantage of the commercial opening that Peru has to the international markets, based on the free trade agreements that have been established. It will also take advantage of its natural wealth to promote ecological tourism, through the facilities of road access and transportation, preserving its cultural and historical legacy, with respect for the environment, through socially responsible actions by industry and the population. In this way, the inhabitants of Utcubamba will enjoy a better standard of living with access to quality education, nutrition and health, training the labor force, which will result in the improvement of wage income, through the development engines that will be tourism and agro-export

Full textThe province of Chachapoyas, ancient cradle of the Chachapoyas culture, is located in northern Peru. Presents various economic activities: industry, construction, trade, agriculture and livestock. In 2014, Chachapoyas presented an important growth in fishing; However, the poor technology of the area prevents this activity from being promoted. In 2017, tourism was the third source of foreign currency for Peru. In that sense, Chachapoyas has potential tourist attractions, however, it has problems due to the scarce road infrastructure that blocks its growth. Chachapoyas needs a sustainable economy through the development of structured markets based on strategic planning. The present investigation shows a detailed analysis of external and internal factors that favor the development of Chachapoyas. These are expressed through measurable strategies and objectives, which are structured in a plan to be implemented over a period of twelve years, making Chachapoyas the first province of the Amazon Region with the largest influx of tourists. Achieved this goal, the province of Chachapoyas will be focused on areas of use, such as sustainable tourism, forest reforestation projects, the restructuring of its roads connected with its 21 districts and recycling of solid urban waste that will allow the creation of a sector productive. Finally, the plan focuses on improving the current situation and economic growth of the Province of Chachapoyas, promoting tourism and the dissemination of its 64 attractions located within its 21 districts through public and private investment. It also seeks that companies can meet the demand of national and international tourism, through strategic alliances with the other provinces of the region and taking advantage of its main strength that is to have the only airport in the Amazon region, which makes it the tourist epicenter of the region in front of the 6 remaining provinces.

Full textThe objective of this strategic plan is to contribute to the social and economic development of the province of Condorcanqui, Amazonas region. To this end, an in-depth analysis was made of the internal and external factors that allowed the identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Based on this, strategies are formulated that will allow the achievement of the objective. In a similar way, an analysis of the competitiveness of Peru and the province's competitors was applied; this will allow us to take advantage of competitive advantages to achieve sustainable development. As a result of this analysis, it was found that Condorcanqui has strengths such as: a strategic location, diversity of flora and fauna, and an ample ecological and cultural tourist potential; in addition to economic activities such as agriculture and forestry; however, they are pending development by the different local, regional and national authorities. For this reason, a vision has been formulated, with horizon to the year 2027, where it is proposed to achieve sustainable development based on the production and export of its flagship product, high quality cocoa and natural rubber; and ecological and cultural tourism; which bring with it the increase of employment and as a consequence the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants. Finally, in order to achieve this vision, strategies will be implemented such as: Developing ecological, scientific, adventure, experiential and cultural tourism; develop strategic alliances and / or joint public-private ventures to increase the execution of projects related to the production, commercialization and promotion of cocoa and natural rubber nationally and internationally; to enter into agreements with private sector companies to invest in technology to develop higher value-added products derived from cocoa and natural rubber; and establish alliances with companies that market products under the fair trade certification, in order to provide them natural rubber

Master's thesis, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2017. http://tesis.pucp.edu.pe/repositorio/handle/123456789/9847.
Full textThis thesis developed the Strategic Plan (2017-2030) of Rodríguez de Mendoza province, located in the south of the Amazon region. This Plan, has been developed following the methodology of Strategic Process Sequential Model designed by D’Alessio (2015) which began with the review of literature available information and interview the mayor of the province, to know the current status of it, then both external and internal analysis was made. The province is recognized for its high quality organic coffee thanks to its environmental conditions (climate, soil and altitude), for its ecological attractions, nature conservation areas and also has an airfield. However, one of its biggest weaknesses is the lack of infrastructure to develop tourism. Among its opportunities are the growth of international demand for organic coffee and the tourism, and the promotion and development of rural economic activities in the jungle, with emphasis on agriculture and tourism, and improvement initiatives of Amazonas national road network by public entities. Among its main threats is corruption. This analysis allowed to formulate intensive strategies like both market and product development in order to reach the desired vision. With the implementation of this Strategic Plan, great changes will be achieved in a horizon of 13-year such as the increase in the Human Development Index in Rodríguez de Mendoza, the increase of public revenues from tourism services and the increased market share of inbound tourism in the province, contributing to be recognized as one of the main tourist destinations. Also, to increase more technical crop areas and exportation of organic coffee, so powerful to be recognized for its high quality organic coffee at the national and international level

Full textThe province of Condorcanqui is located in the department of Amazonas, north-east of Peru, having been constituted in the year 1984. It has a territorial extension of 17,865.39 km2, which constitutes 45.5% of the Amazonas territory and is divided into three districts, with a total population of 54,949 people, for the year 2015 (INEI, 2009). It is characterized by having few means of communication, without any paved road; besides not having tourist infrastructure or telecommunication, which has limited the development of the province, where the inhabitants focus on producing goods with little added value. Faced with this reality, the present strategic planning is created, following the Sequential Model, which is a methodology developed by D'Alessio (2015). This is how a vision has been formulated, with a horizon of 2030, where sustainable development is proposed, based on agricultural production, mainly organic cocoa, yucca and banana; which is combined with experiencing tourism, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the population. Finally, the strategies that will be implemented to achieve this vision are the following: (a) penetrate the modern channel at the national level with agricultural products; (b) develop experiencing tourism packages in contact with indigenous communities; (c) develop experiencing tourism services, including visits to nature reserves; (d) develop municipal educational services, specifically secondary education, to extend the years of study and training of human resources; (e) develop agricultural products with added value, such as cocoa or chocolate pulp, produced by indigenous communities; and (f) develop an efficient and quality river transport service

Full textThe province of Bagua, in the Amazon region, bases the operation of its economy on agricultural activity, with emphasis on the cultivation of coffee, cocoa and rice. For this reason, it’s proposed to repower the products with the different long-term objectives, ranging from the improvement in their productivity to the increase of their quality and, to increase the income of the producers to define the economy of the area and close the gaps in education and health of the province. All under a policy to respect the environment that translates into the goal of reducing the amount of wastewater discharged into rivers without treatment. The five strategies proposed were raised from a comprehensive assessment of the actual situation of Bagua, which includes a critical and systematic analysis of the determining factors of success, both internally and of its environment. The evaluation process has considered strategic aspects which include the analysis of opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses, as well as ethical and legal aspects. Thus, in the vision proposed to the year 2030, the human development index is expected to be at least 0.5, thanks to the strengthening of crops and raised with facilities such as the creation of a municipal agricultural nursery that ensures the safety of products and strengthening agricultural extension services to improve agricultural practices by increasing production and reducing the cost of crops

Full textThe purpose of this research is to prepare a Strategic Plan for the province of Utcubamba for 2028 to developed a province in which its citizens enjoy high living standards, including quality education, security, secured income, access to information technologies, public infrastructure and low levels of corruption in a framework of environmental conservation and respect to communities. In our preparing this Plan we have used the Strategic Management Process of D’Alessio (2015). Utcubamba is in the Amazonas´s region, near the border of the countries of Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil, so it´s a strategic position. Its main economic activities are forestry, farming, and ecotourism. As a result of an external analysis, we identified that the opportunities for the province are the Peruvian’s economic and political stability and the existence of free trade agreements with others countries. Its major threats are citizen lack of security in the entire country, high levels of corruption, high levels of informality and the climate change. From an internal analysis, its major strengths are its strategic geographical location, link to the wide highway network and its capacity to produce quality rice and coffee. Also its archaeological attractions and its exuberant nature make it attractive for ecotourism. Its major weaknesses include low investment in infrastructure, lack of strategic direction, informality labor and the lack of qualified manpower. Also we selected a long-term objectives and strategies that allowed the implementation of matrices that filtering of objectives and strategies that by their current characteristics and potential conditions will should be prioritized to reach the development of the province in favor of improving the lives of its people. Full textThis strategic planning for the Province of Bagua has been developed aligned to the methodology proposed by D’Alessio (2016). Long-term objectives are proposed for the year 2030, as a development plan that seeks to improve the competitiveness of the province and reach national scope and international notoriety through its main current and future economic activities. According to the 2007 Census, the main economic activity of the Province of Bagua is agriculture and has not reached adequate technical development yet. The main trade derived from this activity is the commerce of products in the form of grains such as coffee, cocoa and rice. Another activity such as tourism is at an initial stage, which is very low due to the lack of infrastructure and very poor quality of service, moreover the lack of promotion and advertising. In regard to the long-term objectives of 2030, they have considered to increased the productivity of cocoa and coffee by more than double their current performance; boost Bagua within the top 10 of provinces with the largest number of tourists; improve their percentage of satisfactory level in reading comprehension from 10.5% up to 43.15%; and Bagua by 2030 will produce value-added cacao products from 0% nowadays up to 75% of the total cacao production, getting to be inside the top five of provinces leading the exportation of them. To achieve these long-term objectives, a set of short-term goals are proposed, and they are based on strategies that will impact and improve Bagua’s current situation, promoting the development of agriculture, tourism sector an education for the walfare of its citizens.

Full textThe present study searches in the influential factors of the services and products public demand from the Nutritional Articulated Program (PAN), provided through the Integral Health System (SIS) for the prevention of the Chronic Child Malnutrition (DCI) and anemia in 2 years old or less children, with health care among their mothers in Public Health Dependences in the Awajún community of Chiriaco, main capital of Imaza, in the province of Bagua, in Amazonas department. The Chronic Child Malnutrition and anemia are deficit diseases produced by direct and indirect social, healthiness, economics, educational, cultural, and nutritional factors that affect poor and excluded people like Amazonia´s rural and Indian population. For this situation, this people forever live in poverty and social exclusion because they don´t have opportunities and possibilities to have a long and health live, good education and decent work. This constitutes a failure, on the part of the State and the Society, to fulfill the human rights and citizens of these populations. In order to address this situation, the PAN has been created as a State strategy, which is led by Health integrating Education, Housing, Agriculture, MEF, municipalities, social programs, RENIEC and Civil Society in the implementation of products (water, vaccines, improved kitchens, supplements, organization, identity, etc.). The Health sector has been implementing a set of PAN products that have been prioritized (vaccines, care, supplements) to address the direct causes and that are helping to reduce DCI and anemia. In order to know about this implementation we have selected for trial and convenience a sample of 20 children under 2 years of age in order to know how the supply and demand of the PAN is performed. This registry was done through interviews with mothers of children, community agents, health personnel, local authorities, and also through observation of the service provided as well as the review of the documentation generated in the health facility. This analysis allows us to affirm that these prioritized products of the PAN contribute to the prevention of DCI in children under 2 years, but not in the prevention of anemia, confirming the findings of other investigations that interventions such as PAN and social programs only contribute to the decline the DCI of children under 2 years of age. During this age their feeding depends mainly on breastfeeding and has a constant monitoring of Health personnel, but then, after two years, the incidence of DCI increases when their development depends more on the deficient diet and family economy as well as the communal life and health conditions of families and communities. According to our analysis, PAN's prioritized services and products can be improved through intercultural adaptation, pro-active family involvement and articulation of key local actors (political and sectorial authorities, social leaders, population and health personnel), but is not enough and its achievements are unsustainable if other products of the PAN model are not implemented: safe water and sanitation, food security, community training and access to basic services. The social management contemplates instruments and strategies that allow to improve cost effective interventions like the PAN and therefore is fundamental for the implementation of this type of program that contribute to the human and local development

Full textAchieving sustainable development is today the "Common Good" that the Peruvian Constitution established as the Supreme State, who must promote the development and technological innovation, that it takes so much for Peru to become an Industrialized Nation. Globalization requires both organizations and States, with technologies’ help, to be highly competitive this effect will result in economic development and improvement in life quality. The technological boom represents a tool, which efficiently and opportunely employed will overcome geographical barriers and should be a great incentive for the integration and inclusion within Peru and with the world market. Development of this strategy represents an alternative for the Province of Rodríguez de Mendoza in order to achieve competitiveness and sustainable development, reformulating traditional economic activities through the use of technology and encouraging the formation of clusters. The Strategic Plan of the Province of Rodríguez de Mendoza has been carried out based on the Sequential Strategic Process model developed by Dr. Fernando D’Alessio Ipinza, based on an analysis of the current situation, to reach a desired future situation, by means of establishing a vision, mission, values, long-term and short-term objectives and strategies associated with the environment and a SWOT analysis.
