Andrean Maulana. "Poligami Dalam Hukum Islam (Kajian Istinbath Lughawiyah Terhadap Hadis Miswar Bin Makhramah)." Jurnal Al-Nadhair 2, no. 2 (December 30, 2023): 35–57. http://dx.doi.org/10.61433/alnadhair.v2i2.37.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract The Precision Medicine Lab (PML) has been mandated by the Federal Government in 2018 to pilot precision medicine in Pakistan using genomics in oral cancer. With the Indian subcontinent as its capital, oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), also dubbed as ‘poor man’s cancer', constitutes 90% of all head and neck cancers and is the highest incidence cancer found in Pakistani males. Backed by a bio-repository of clinical samples as well as a catalogue of primary cell clines, PML takes a multi-omic approach to discovering new, actionable biomarkers for diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic applications. With all necessary ethical approvals obtained from IRBs at each site along with written informed consent from each patient, treatment-naive biopsy-confirmed patients of OSCC were recruited in two main tertiary care hospitals in Peshawar, Pakistan. Our cohort was predominantly older with 37.84% between 41-60 years, late-stage with 78.46% presenting in stage IV and self-reportedly non-alcohol consuming (96.9%). About 44.6% reported the use of smokeless tobacco while 30.8% reported the use of both smoked and smokeless tobacco. Majority of the tumours were located in the buccal mucosa (29.2%), alveolar region (27.7%) or the vestibular region (24.6%). We obtained blood and tumour samples for matched-pair whole exome sequencing, transcriptomics and metabolomics as well as generation of primary cell lines. We also obtained saliva samples for oral microbiome analysis. Combined with the patient’s clinical history and digital histopathology images, this helps us create a multi-omic stack that we intend to make available for integrated machine learning experiments. With our whole exome sequencing now complete, we undertook a preliminary analysis for this late breaking abstract. Raw reads were aligned to the GRCh38.p14 reference genome and were called for germline and somatic SNPs and INDELs using GATK (v4.5). Mutational analysis was conducted using the maftools (v2.18.0) package in R (v4.3) by comparing against the COSMIC SBS Signature database (v3.2). We report MUC12 (100%), ZNF717 (100%), FOLR3 (86%), EPPK1 (79%) and SPATA31A6 (79%) as the top mutated genes in the subset of exomes analysed thus far for our cohort. Genes reported previously including TP53, NOTCH1 and PIK3CA appear to rank lower on the list. In terms of cancer-related pathways, RTK-RAS (92.8%), Hippo (92.8%) and Notch (78.5%) were affected in most of the samples. To our knowledge, we describe for the first time the mutational landscape in an OSCC cohort from the Pakistani population. We also go beyond whole exomes as our multi-omic approach offers the potential on machine learning experiments to identify putative mutational signatures and biomarkers for OSCC that can be of diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic value to the local (Pakistani and Afghan) patient population. With the availability of primary cell lines for every patient, we also intend to undertake experimental validation of high priority targets using primary patient-derived cell lines in the lab. Abstract:
This paper deals with the study of the impact of the Shiism on the Arabic literature in general, and on the Fatimid literature in particular. It treats the issue of)al-Zahir and al-Batin(in the Holy Qur’an or what is called the esoteric interpretation. The Fatimid writers exerted more attention and paid their effort in employing Qur’anic verses through esoteric interpretation, their goal in that was to get the Imamate or the Caliphate, it was the utmost motivation for the esoteric interpretation. the Imamate was right for Ali bin Abi Talib and for his descendants and they sought to maintain this right contextually not by selection. The study deals with the concept of "esoteric interpretation" and its relationship to the issue of Alzaher and Albatin (deep and surface meaning), as it was mentioned in the Diwaniyah letters of the Fatimid writers. It also examines the manifestations of the esoteric interpretation with the Imam on one side and with the Fatimid writers on the other side. The study ends with presenting the elements of their use of esoteric interpretation through selected models from the Diwaniya messages, directly related to the thought and belief of the Fatimids.

This article is an attempt to restore the original text with the description held in the Crimea the fourth embassy to al-Malik al-Zahir Baybars (1260–1277) to the ruler of the Golden Horde, Berke – fragment of the London of the manuscript of the secretary of the office of the Mamluk Sultan al-Malik al-Zahir Baybars (1260–1277) and his biographer ‘Abd al-Zahir (1223–1293) «al-Rawḍ al-ẓāhir fī sīrat al-Malik al-Ẓāhir» (Garden visible in the biography of al-Malik al-Zahir) with filling of the gaps in the text borrowings from the Egyptian chroniclers Shafi, b. Ali (1252–1329), al-Nuwayri (1279–1333), al-Muf al-Dal (1259–1341), Ibn al-Forat (1335–1405), al-Aini (1361–1453), al-Makrizi (1364–1442), al-Yunini (1256–1326), Rukn ad-Din Baybars (1247–1325), etc. Verbatim translations of excerpts from Arabic works published with translations by V. G. Tizengauzen allow us to establish: 1) the absence in the letters of Baybars and Berke of any information about Berke’s conversion to Islam earlier than 1263 and the presence of direct evidence of his intentions to join this religion; 2) the time of adoption of the religion of Islam by Berke, his family members and the military aristocracy of the Golden Horde in the first decade of may 1263; 3) the number and sequence of embassies of the ruler of the Golden Horde Berke and Sultan Beybars, carried out before the resumption (July 17, 1264) of the fourth Embassy of the Sultan detained by the Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos; 4) the time of the fourth Embassy of Beybars in the Crimea (20–21 1264); 5) the presence of the Crimea in July 1264 under the rule of the only ruler – the son of Jouchi Tuka Timur, called by Abd al-Zahir Tuk Buga, and on the coins of his «pre-Muslim» coinage of the Crimea «Ata Tuka syogun» and «Temir Tuka»; 6) the existence of a post station-caravanserai on the route of the embassy, which served as the formation of the city of Solhat around it.

Abstract:
In the nineteenth century, Indian novels were more directed towards the social interest with political consciousness as the younger generation was more aware of social and political happenings. Indian novels in English originated from different regions of the country by different vernacular writers. Despite geographical, cultural and social differences, themes depicted in the novels shared a common thread of nationalism, colonial rule and post-colonialism. The Progressive Writers’ Movement was majorly instrumented by authors like Mulkraj Anand, Syed Sajjad Zahir, Ahmed Ali, Rashid Jehan, Attia Hosain and Mahmuduz Zafar etc. They were the trendsetters for modern writers in Indian writing in English. This current paper discusses briefly the literary contribution of Saadat Hasan Manto, a noteworthy Progressive writer.

This is a research in which I collected, what I found, from the translation and narrations of Salm bin Zarir Abi Yunus al-Atari Al-Basri, t. 160 AH. 1- I did not find the year of the birth of Salam bin Zarir, but it appears that he was born before the year one hundred, and his death was in the year one hundred sixty. 2- He narrated seven traces, which are in the degree of acceptance, except for one trace that is weak and the weakness of it is from others, and another trace that I did not find its sustenance. 3- The ranks and divisions of the speakers in the narrators should be taken into account. When studying a questionable narrator. 4- One of the aims of the modernists in classification is to collect the narration of someone whose narration is characterized by a smile; such as, scarcity and shortage.

Abstract:
This thesis aims to address the question of polyphony as it manifests itself in the novels of the Comorian author, Ali Zamir, which are Anguille sous roche, Mon Étincelle, Dérangé que je suis and Jouissance. Following an approach that is both enunciative and semi-stylistic, we set ourselves the objective of bringing out everything that contributes to making these novels polyphonic texts: linguistic tools, language mechanisms, discursive techniques, etc. This research work starts from the hypothesis that polyphony is the trait in relation to which all those that Zamir mobilized for the construction of the literariness of his texts are defined; which literarity - as indicated, in the semiostylistic theory which we will use, can only be determined during reception. This is how particular importance will be given to the analysis of the reader to show, among other objects, what impacts the combination of the different “voices” summoned by the writer, including his own, can have on his activity as a receiver. This work will attempt to study the enunciative process staged in each novel, by analyzing the different relationships between the actors who take part in it: narrators, reader (and other recipients), writer and editor, all will be the subject of the analysis carried out in this thesis

Abstract:
Blockchain technology is gradually being applied to different customs clearance systems globally to improve the efficiency of trade transactions by digitizing customs clearance processes. This chapter explores the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system—a blockchain-based system—implemented by the Egyptian Customs Authority (ECA) and provides recommendations for future improvements. A case study was applied on three regular importer companies in Egypt, H.B. Fuller, Ezz Steel, and Zamil Steel, to study specific customs clearance concepts related to time, documentation, and costs associated with the processes to draw a conclusion on the impacts of implementing the ACI on the import customs clearance procedures. Finally, the chapter concludes that the ACI system has had a positive impact on importers and customs employees. Nevertheless, importers still face several challenges with the customs clearance system. Therefore, recommendations are listed for the ECA to upgrade the customs clearance processes, and Misr Technology Services (MTS) to develop the ACI system's infrastructure.

Abstract:
Abstract The history of European military involvement in the Arab world is often told as starting with Napoleon’s 1798 invasion of Egypt. This chapter resets the start of this history decades earlier: to Russia’s bombardment of Syria and Palestine and occupation of Beirut during the Russo-Ottoman War of 1768–1774. It presents an excerpt from the firsthand account of Russian naval officer Sergei Pleshcheev, who was invited into Palestine by two rebellious local leaders—Zahir al-‘Umar of Palestine and ‘Ali Bey of Egypt—to assist them in battle against the Ottoman Empire. A war memoir-meets-ethnography, Pleshcheev’s account reveals a Russian official at home among the diverse peoples of the Levant (many of them also part of Russia’s imperial diversity), who also sets himself above them as an enlightened European, and, as a Russian, imagines himself to offer a unique variation on European civilization.

Abstract:
India, which has been a long-time ally of Turkic states throughout history, has had a dense Turkish population, especially as a result of the expeditions made by the Ghaznels, Timur and Baburls to North India. During the campaigns of Mahmud of Ghazni, many families with the surname Türkîolan can be found even today in Muradâbâd, Sambhal and Rampurgibi regions in Northern India, where the Turkish population settled. It is known that a significant Turkish population settled here during Timur's expeditions to Kabul, Punjab, Sind and Delhi after Ghazni. As a matter of fact, the Kutbils (1206-1266), Balabans (1266-1290), Kalach Sultanate (1290-1320), Tughluqs (1320-1414), Seyyids (1414-1451) and Lods (1451) ruled in North India from the 13th century. -1526) were able to gain power by taking advantage of the power of the Turkish population that had settled here before. Babur's defeat of Lûdîler in 1526 and the conquest of North India, unlike other expeditions, means the beginning of a permanent rule in this region. During the period when Babur sat on the throne for about five years, the importance he gave to Turkish in this region, along with Persian and Hindi, ensured that Turkish was spoken in the palace and that Turkish developed as a language of poetry. In this respect, Chagatai Turkish is a "new field"52 where the Timur literary tradition continues in North India, and it also represents a symbol of cultural dominance. This issue will be addressed in our work.

Abstract:
Ispitivanje kvaliteta električnog osvetljenja, tj. ispitivanje osvetljenosti radnog prostora se vrši u cilju sprečavanja štetnih posledica u radu i kretanju posade unutar kabine.

Abstract:
Within the Turkish state tradition, the majority of Turkish Khans are also poets. It is known that some of them even had a divan or had enough poems to form a divan. These khans, as well as being poets themselves, gathered artists around them during their time, protected them and rewarded them in various ways for the poems they wrote. Babur is one of the important Turkish khans who bears this title. The ruler who owns a divan is one of the poets. In his memoirs (Vekayi/Babürname), he mentioned the names of some poets around him or in the places he was in and shared his thoughts about them, their poems and their poetry. Especially Ali Şir Nevayî has an important place in his artistic life.

Abstract:
Chagatai Turkish is a written language that continued to be used from the beginning of the 13thcentury to the beginning of the 20th century. After Navoi’s death, various dictionaries began to be written in every corner of the Islamic world to make his works easier to read. These dictionaries, which were generally written in the Ottoman Empire, Iran, Azerbaijan, India and Turkistan and have a greatvalue for the history of the development of the Turkish language, formed a school of lexicography. In the field of Iran, Chagatai Turkish dictionaries have been arranged in order to understand the works of Ali Sher Navoi. After the death of Navoi, many Chagatai Turkish dictionaries were written during the three successive Turkish dynasties, Safavids (1501-1736), Afshars (1736-1747) and Qajars (1795-1925). Nezrali’s dictionary, Feraghi’s Miftâhu'l-Lugatdictionary, Bedâyiü’l-Lugatand Abdulcemil Nasîri’s Kitab-i Türkiare among the dictionaries written during the Safavid period. A giant work like Senglah, written by Mirza Mehdi Khan, who was the author and historian of Nadir Shah during the Afshar dynasty, is extremely important in terms of showing the importance of Chagatai Turkish in this period. The interest in Chagatai Turkish continued during the period of Qajar rule, which is a continuation of the Turkish states in Iran; Dictionaries such as Hulasa-yi Abbasi, Et-Tamga-yı Nâsiriand Fethali Kachardictionary were written. In this study, information about the Chagatai Turkish Dictionary of Fethali Kachar, Feraghiand Nezrali, which we have previously published in Turkey, is given, and then the examples of Babur Shah, who are referenced as witnesses in these works and emphasized.

Full text
Abstract:
The objectives of this project were to develop the tools and methodologies for positional cloning of genes in tomato and apply them for the cloning a Fusarium resistance gene - I2.. The feasibility of positional cloning of disease resistance genes was demonstrated for Pto which confers resistance to pseudomonas (Martin et al. 1993). The Fusarium resistance gene was mapped genetically and physically and was found to be in close proximity to TG 105 (Segal et al. 1992). To obtain fine mapping of gene I2, and additional target genes in future projects, a high density linkage map was developed (Tanksley et al. 1992; Broun and Tanksley 1993). In addition two permanent mapping populations were constructed: a recombinant inbred (Paran et al. 1995; Zamir et al. 1993) and an introgression line population (Eshed et al. 1992; Eshed and Zamir 1994). Using these resources we determined that the I2 locus shows complete co-segregation, down to a resolution of a few Kb, with SL8 which shows architectural similarity with other plant resistance genes. Transformation and complementation analysis is in progress (Ori et al. in preparation).

Tanksley, Steven D., and Dani Zamir. Development and Testing of a Method for the Systematic Discovery and Utilization of Novel QTLs in the Production of Improved Crop Varieties: Tomato as a Model System. United States Department of Agriculture, June 1995. http://dx.doi.org/10.32747/1995.7570570.bard.

Abstract:
Modern cultivated varieties carry only a small fraction of the variation present in the gene pool. The narrow genetic basis of modern crop plants is a result of genetic bottlenecks imposed during early domestication and modern plant breeding. The wild ancestors of most crop plants can still be found in their natural habitats and Germplasm Centers have been established to collect and maintain this material. These wild and unadapted resources can potentially fuel crop plant improvement efforts for many years into the future (Tanksley and McCouch 1997). Unfortunately, scientists have been unable to exploit the majority of the genetic potential warehoused in germplasm repositories. This is especially true as regards to the improvement of quantitative traits like yield and quality. One of the major problems is that much of the wild germplasm is inferior to modern cultivars for many of the quantitative traits that breeders would like to improve. Our research, focusing on the tomato as a model system, has shown that despite their inferior phenotypes, wild species are likely to contain QTLs that can substantially increase the yield and quality of elite cultivars (de Vicente and Tanksley 1992, Eshed and Zamir 1994, Eshed et al. 1996). Using novel population structures of introgression lines (ILs; Eshed and Zamir 1995) and advanced backcross lines (AB; Tanksley et al. 1996) we identified and introduced valuable QTLs from unadapted germplasm into elite processing tomato varieties. Populations involving crosses with five Lycopersicon species (L. pennellii (Eshed and Zamir 1994; Eshed et al. 1996; Eshed and Zamir 1996), L. hirsutum (Bernacchi et al. 1998), L. pimpinellifolium (Tanksley et al. 1996), L. parviflorum (unpub.), L. peruvianum (Fulton et al. 1997) have been field and laboratory tested in a number of locations around the world. QTLs from the wild parent were identified that improve one or more of the key quantitative traits for processing tomatoes (yield, brix, sugar and acid composition and earliness) by as much as 10-30%. Nearly isogenic lines (QTL-NILs) have been generated for a subset of these QTLs. Each QTL-NIL contains the entire genome of the elite cultivated parent except for a segment (5-40 cM) of the wild species genome corresponding to a specific QTL. The genetic material and information that was developed in this program is presently used by American and Israeli seed companies for the breeding of superior varieties. We expect that in the next few years these varieties will make a difference in the marketplace.

Boyle, M., and Elizabeth Rico. Terrestrial vegetation monitoring at Fort Matanzas National Monument: 2019 data summary. National Park Service, May 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.36967/nrds-2293409.

Full text
Abstract:
The Southeast Coast Network (SECN) conducts long-term terrestrial vegetation monitoring as part of the nationwide Inventory and Monitoring Program of the National Park Service (NPS). The vegetation community vital sign is one of the primary-tier resources identified by SECN park managers, and it is currently conducted at 15 network parks (DeVivo et al. 2008). Monitoring plants and their associated communities over time allows for targeted understanding of ecosystems within the SECN geography, which provides managers information about the degree of change within their parks’ natural vegetation. 2019 marks the first year of conducting this monitoring effort at four SECN parks, including Fort Matanzas National Monument (FOMA). Nine vegetation plots, located on Anastasia and Rattlesnake Islands, were established at Fort Matanzas National Monument in June. Data collected in each plot included species richness across multiple spatial scales, species-specific cover and constancy, species-specific woody stem seedling/sapling counts and adult tree (greater than 10 centimeters [3.9 inches {in}]) diameter at breast height (DBH), overall tree health, landform, soil, observed disturbance, and woody biomass (i.e., fuel load) estimates. This report summarizes the baseline (year 1) terrestrial vegetation data collected at Fort Matanzas National Monument in 2019. Data were stratified across two dominant broadly defined habitats within the park (Maritime Upland Forests/Shrublands and Maritime Open Uplands). Noteworthy findings include: Eighty-two vascular plant taxa (species or lower) were observed across nine vegetation plots, including eight species not previously documented within the park. The most frequently encountered species in each broadly defined habitat included: Maritime Upland Forests and Shrublands: saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), yaupon (Ilex vomitoria), southern/eastern red cedar (Juniperus silicicola + virginiana), American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), and American burnweed (Erectites hieraciifolius). Maritime Open Uplands: sea oats (Uniola paniculata), earleaf greenbriar (Smilax auriculata), and dixie sandmat (Euphorbia bombensis). ne non-native species, Brazilian pepper (Schinus terebinthifolia), categorized as invasive by the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council (FLEPPC 2019) was encountered in one Maritime Upland Forest and Shrubland plot during this monitoring effort. There were not any rare plants tracked by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS 2020) found during this monitoring effort. All plants located in these monitoring plots are fairly common throughout Florida, as well as across the Southeast Coast. Three species observed, however, are on the FDACS 2020 list of commercially exploited plants within the state. These include saw palmetto, cinnamon fern (Osmundastrum cinnamomeum), and coontie (Zamia integrifolia var. umbrosa). Southern/eastern red cedar and cabbage palmetto (Sabal palmetto) were the most dominant species within the tree stratum of the Maritime Upland Forest and Shrubland habitat type. Species that dominated the sapling and seedling strata of this type included yaupon and cabbage palmetto. More than 75% of the trees measured in the parks Maritime Upland Forest and Shrubland habitat type were alive and experiencing healthy vigor. Of the 22 trees that were dead, more than 50% of those were southern/eastern red cedar. Most of those individuals that were observed with moderate or severe decline and greater than 50% dieback were southern/eastern red cedars. Although red bay (Persea borbonia) was identified as one of the “principal understory tree” species within Fort Matanzas National Monument’s maritime forests in 2004 (Zomlefer et al. 2004), tree-sized individuals were rarely detected on plots during this monitoring effort. This may be in part due to the detection of laurel wilt disease within St. Johns County in 2006 (USDA 2021). Based on the low detection...
