Abstract:
El presente artículo destaca el rol del escritor cubano Alejo Carpentier en la configuración de la denominada nueva narrativa hispanoamericana. Se examina el impacto del vanguardismo sobre esa vertiente narrativa. Se aborda la etapa inicial de la obra literaria carpenteriana en el contexto de las vanguardias históricas latinoamericanas de los años 20-30. La asimilación del aporte de la vanguardia se combina con una atención del aporte africano a la cultura caribeña. Se evalúa luego el impacto en su producción de las teorías del realismo mágico o de lo real maravilloso y sus conexiones con el surrealismo. Finalmente se examina el aporte de los modelos de la novela histórica de la narrativa de Carpentier

L’académicienne Marguerite Yourcenar (1903/1987) et le romancier cubain Alejo Carpentier (1904/1980) ont choisi l’Histoire comme matériau privilégié de leur création romanesque. Pour eux, la connaissance du passé est la clé de la connaissance de l’homme et, en même temps, seul le roman peut en donner une approche authentique. La fiction, mieux que l’historiographie événementielle, exhume les invariants de la condition humaine et jette des passerelles entre le passé et le présent. Les pérégrinations du personnage ouvrent une fenêtre sur une réalité révolue, tandis que sa destinée archétypale atteint une dimension mythique ; les références artistiques, tissées dans le récit, réduisent les distances temporelles et révèlent le drame universel de toute existence. Ce roman, qui nous tend le passé comme un miroir, est un roman humaniste qui, malgré une histoire cyclique qui répète les mêmes erreurs, continue de croire aux vertus cognitives de la culture et à la nature perfectible de l’homme
Marguerite Yourcenar, the member of the French Academy (1903/1987) and the Cuban novelist Alejo Carpentier (1904/1980) chose History as the material for their fictions. They both believe that, on the one hand, knowing the past is the better way of knowing mankind; on the other hand, the novel is the path leading to a true version of remote events. The fiction, better than factual historiography, digs out the invariant characteristics of human nature and joins up past and present. With the character, we travel through a chaotic historical period and at the same time, his individual destiny reaches a mythical sense. The works of art reflect themselves on the narration, bring the remote time closer and reveal the universal drama of human condition. Urging the reader to look at himself through the mirror of the past, the novel is moved by the humanist belief that, even if history is constantly being remade, culture can enlighten and improve the humanity

Abstract:
This thesis studies the concept of the baroque as applied to the works of the Cuban novelist Alejo Carpentier (1904-1980). It revisits the original inspiration that the writer found in baroque architecture and sculpture, as expressed in the articles he wrote from Spain in the early 1930s, and follows his use of baroque culture in each of his novels. It is found that, through his attempt to create a period ambience for his historical fictions by incorporating into his novels descriptions of the art and architecture of the Baroque era, and by imitating the literary style of Spanish Golden Age writers, he ultimately produced a parodic and ironic style that was put to a highly original use even in those works set in the contemporary period. Finally, the mature works produced in the last decade of Carpentier's life are studied, and the continuities and discontinuities between these works and those of previous periods are examined, in order to arrive at a critical assessment of the potential to renovate the Latin American novel created by this writer's use of the baroque. Throughout this thesis the primary focus is placed upon the role played by the visual arts, including architecture, in Carpentier's development of baroque themes and style, a secondary focus being placed upon literary influences. Thus the importance for Carpentier of various writers and artists is examined, such as Cervantes, Quevedo, Piranesi, Vico, Goya, Barr????s and d'Ors. It is found that Carpentier's use of baroque themes, motifs and style enabled him to make a unique contribution to literature in a number of ways: by creating an original means of representing the position of the individual with regard to society and the historical process, by reevaluating Latin American culture and environment vis-????-vis is Europe, and by adopting a postcolonial perspective of cultural self-assertiveness that was to pave the way for the 'boom' in the Latin American novel.

This thesis is concerned with the "Americanity" of Quebec literature and the existence of a cultural formation specific to the New World, based on a context of renewal, distancing and rupture with respect to European influence. The "real maravilloso" is perceived as an inherent American mode of expression, and its presence is examined in the work of Yves Theriault and Alejo Carpentier. An analysis of the short stories, Contes pour un homme seul (1944) by Theriault and "Histoire de lunes" (1933) by Carpentier, and of the novels Agaguk (1958) and Le royaume de ce monde (1949), allows us to compare the evolution from primitivism to the "real maravilloso americano", revealed in the novel through the "figures of the Other" and the status of the character, characterized by duality (contrast between the primitive forces and civilized world), its quest, its integration with nature, and the importance of sacred ritual.

L'objet de cette étude sont des approximations, les résonances entre les œuvres Les pas perdus par Alejo Carpentier et le projet philosophique de Gilles Deleuze et Félix Guattari. Notre but n'est pas de trouver des points de levier, mais les mouvements qui traversent des lignes de fuite, déterritorialisations courir travaux de l’œuvre de Carpentier en question. Le changement sera essentielle si le narrateur de Les pas perdus réaliser une déterritorialisation, qui passera par la volonté de perturber le corps luimême et traversera par toute la structure narrative. Nous essayons de comprendre comment ces déterritorialisations traversent l'écriture de Les pas perdus sur trois fronts: le déplacement de l’écriture ou de la littérature mineure, la déterritorialisation de la vie et la déterritorialisation des organes ou la création d'un CsO.
O objeto desse estudo são as aproximações, as ressonâncias entre as obras Os passos perdidos de Alejo Carpentier e o projeto filosófico de Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari. Nosso objetivo não será encontrar pontos de influência, mas movimentos de deslocamento, linhas de fuga, desterritorializações que percorrem a obra carpentiana em questão. O deslocamento será essencial para que o narrador de Os passos perdidos comece uma desterritorialização, a qual passará pelo desejo de desorganizar o próprio corpo e atravessará toda a estrutura narrativa. Tentamos compreender como essas desterritorializações atravessam a escritura de Os passos perdidos em três frentes: a desterritorialização da escritura ou literatura menor, a desterritorialização da vida e a desterritorialização dos corpos ou a criação de um CsO

Nesta pesquisa centralizo meu interesse no problema do olhar e seus múltiplos desdobramentos em uma poética da narrativa. Busco elaborar uma noção a respeito do olhar, articulando o discurso teórico dos textos narrativos e da crítica cultural, para definir traços que caracterizam uma figura de decisivo impacto no romance latino-americano do século XX: o viajante. Partindo desses pressupostos, estudo a obra El arpa y la sombra, do escritor cubano Alejo Carpentier, romance que tem como sujeitos relatores dois singulares viajantes: o Papa Pio IX e Cristóvão Colombo, com especial enfoque no estudo das estratégias discursivas que o escritor desenvolve para dar um olhar, e, conseqüentemente, uma percepção do mundo americano, a esses personagens relatores
En esta investigación centralizo mi interés en el problema de la mirada y sus desdoblamientos en una poética de la narrativa. Busco elaborar una noción en torno a la mirada, articulando el discurso teórico de los textos narrativos y de la crítica cultural, para definir rasgos que caracterizan una figura de decisivo impacto en la novela latinoamericana del siglo XX: el viajero. Partiendo de estas nociones, estudio la obra El arpa y la sombra, del escritor cubano Alejo Carpentier, novela que tiene como sujetos relatores dos singulares viajeros: el Papa Pio IX y Cristóbal Colón, con especial enfoque en el estudio de las estrategias discursivas que el escritor desarrolla para dar una mirada, y, consecuentemente, una percepción del mundo americano, a estos personajes relatores.

FAPEMIG - Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais
Este estudo tem por objetivo oferecer um novo olhar sobre um dos mais prolíficos intelectuais latino-americanos do século XX: o romancista cubano Alejo Carpentier (1904-1980). Parto da análise de um de seus últimos romances, Concerto Barroco (1974), considerado pelo autor como a Suma Teológica de sua carreira. Entendo-o como um espaço em que Carpentier representou alegoricamente muitas das ideias pensadas durante a vida, em especial, a defesa de um ―barroco americano e universal‖ como forma de definir as relações da América com o restante do mundo, numa inversão das relações entre centro e periferia. Ao lado desse discurso da singularidade barroca do continente, Carpentier foi reconhecidamente um fervoroso propagandista da Revolução Cubana (1959) e do Governo de Fidel Castro. Isso gerou muitas críticas a sua figura e algumas tensões em seu próprio discurso, que se refletiram em seus romances, particularmente em Concerto Barroco. É sobre essas tensões presentes no discurso de Carpentier, e que refletiram no referido romance, que centro minha análise como um todo. Trabalho com a hipótese de que a fuga pela música foi uma estratégia utilizada por Carpentier para aliviar as tensões provenientes de seu discurso e que acabaram expressas em Concerto Barroco
This study aims at to provide a new look at one of the most prolific Latin American intellectuals of the twentieth century: the Cuban novelist Alejo Carpentier (1904-1980). It starts with the analysis of one of his last novels, Concerto Barroco (1974), considered by the author as the Summa Theologica of his career. It takes it as a place in which Carpentier allegorically represented many of his ideas thought during his life. In particular, the defense of a baroque that is, at the same time, American and universal, that looked for redefine America‘s relations with the rest of the world, in an inversion of the relationship between center and periphery. Alongside this discourse of the uniqueness baroque continent, Carpentier was admittedly a fervent propagandist of the Cuban Revolution (1959) and the government of Fidel Castro, a fact that generated much criticism of his figure and some tensions in his own speech, which reflected in his novels, including Concerto Barroco. My analysis centers in these tensions within the discourse of Carpentier, and in the novel itself. My hypothesis is that music was an escape route used by Carpentier as a strategy to ease tensions from his speeches that had repercussions in Concerto Barroco.

Bab Tut of the medina of Tetouan (Morocco): study and data for its conservationAt the beginning of the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco (1912-1956) the medina of Tetouan, with its walls and gates, was perceived as a fundamental part of the traditional city that was to be conserved. It is interesting to consider, in this sense, the concern that since the war of Tetuan (1859) was to obtain an adequate graphic representation of this architecture. Among the Maps of the Spanish Army Geographical Service are the first drawing that were made (scale 1:100) of the gates of the medina. They are signed by Francisco Gómez Jordana; Alejo Corso and Eduardo Álvarez in 1888. The purpose of this study is to publish the Bab Tut survey and its description. Thanks to this drawing we can know the exact status of the gate before the Spanish occupation and establish a documentary base that facilitates the recovery of this defensive heritage of the city of Tetouan.

Objetivou-se avaliar o polimorfismo do gene da kappa-caseína (CSN3) em bovinos da raça holandesa no estado do Paraná. Amostras de pelos de 98 vacas foram coletadas e encaminhadas para laboratório Neogen® em que foram realizadas as extrações e amplificações via “biochip” GGP bovine 100K, de acordo com o protocolo próprio. A análise do SNP CSN3_AY380228_13068, referentes ao alelo A e B da kappa-caseína, evidenciou elevada frequência para o alelo B (0,668) em relação ao alelo A (0,332). Este foi o primeiro estudo realizado no estado do Paraná e evidenciou elevado potencial genético do rebanho para a agroindústria de laticínios.

Objetivou-se avaliar o polimorfismo do gene COQ9 em rebanho leiteiro holandês no estado do Paraná. Para isso, amostras de pelo da cauda foram coletadas, e após envio para laboratório terceirizado, promoveu-se à amplificação do SNP COQ9_rs109301586. Verificou-se que a frequência para o alelo A foi de 0,520 e de 0,480 para o alelo G. Frequência 0,448 foi observada para o genótipo AG. Observou-se a presença de EHW para este lócus na população avaliada. Considerando que a presença do alelo A associa-se a presença de boas taxas de prenhez e intervalo entre partos, verifica-se elevado potencial genético do plantel avaliado.

The paper briefly deals with the process of transformation of the monarchy into a republic in ancient Rome, the key event of which was the expulsion of the last king from Rome. The authors of the article show that this act was not an illegitimate coup or an anti-state crime (high treason), but the removal of a tyrannical king by an aristocracy that was – in her view –legitimate. At the same time, the authors show that the transition from the monarchical to the republican form of government was relatively smooth, while the royal office in the form of two important offices (rex sacrorum, interrex) persisted in the republic.

Certain chemical compounds, such as biologically active molecules, can be produced and found in high concentrations in plants. Aloe vera plant consists mainly of more than 90% water and many chemical compounds, such as polysaccharides, due to its ability to adapt to desert conditions and environments. More than 200 nutritional substances were found to be exist in aloe vera, including vitamins, enzymes, minerals, polysaccharides, lignin, antioxidants and amino acids. flavonoids and phenols, among the important compounds, play an important and vital role as antioxidants by their function as free radicals’ scavengers. The current research is aiming to investigate the value of total polyphenols , flavonoids and antioxidant activities of magnetized water, non-magnetized water and alcoholic extracts of fresh Aloe Vera leaves .The study showed that the extracts of ethanol and magnetized water are much better than non-magnetized water.

Abstract Large-scale wind turbine installations are sited using layouts based on site topology, real estate costs and restrictions, and turbine power output. In order to plan efficient wind farm deployments, computationally efficient CFD models of wind turbine wakes are needed to predict the performance of individual turbines in the field. Given the large computational demands to calculate turbine wakes using traditional CFD methods, many research efforts have focused in recent years on the development of blade modeling techniques. These blade models are combined with CFD field computations and are intended to model the forces on turbine blades and their resulting effects on the flow, without actually including a physical model (grid) of the blades in the CFD simulation. The most promising method, the Actuator Line (AL) method, creates a physical model of the turbine blades, and has been found to result in realistic wake flow simulations with accessible compute resources. The AL method typically uses an exponential function to spread blade forces over a cloud of CFD grid points to prevent singularities from occurring when large force magnitudes are applied to individual grid points. Yet, in typical implementations of this method, the geometric extent to which this distribution occurs and the applied force directions do not appear to be related to the physics of the blade force calculations or geometry. Moreover, the distribution function reduces the force magnitude as distance from the actuator line increases, but this does not necessarily match the force loading on an actual turbine blade. In order to address some of these issues, the current research study has focused on developing an evolved actuator line method (ALEvo) in combination with the advanced parallel Spectral Element Method (SEM) open-source CFD code NEK5000, to model the wake flows of large wind turbines. This alternate AL implementation creates a geometric representation of each rotating turbine blade, and the aerodynamic forces are calculated using traditional blade element equations. Turbine blades are rotated in time with progressing CFD field calculations. Blade forces are then input as body forces into the Navier Stokes equations in the host CFD program without the use of an exponential spreading function. In this paper, we compare results for the new actuator line method with those of the traditional AL method, as well as with published experimental results. Comparison with the traditional method shows better agreement of ALEvo with experimental data, and confirms overestimation of power output with the traditional method. Furthermore, significant computing time savings are achieved with the proposed new method.

Obsahom nasledujúceho príspevku bude analýza postavenia žalobcov, ktorí svoj nárok voči poskytovateľovi zdravotnej starostlivosti odvodzujú od tvrdeného non lege artis poskytnutia zdravotnej starostlivosti, v dôsledku ktorého sa domáhajú náhrady škody na zdraví a/alebo náhrady nemajetkovej ujmy. Cieľom príspevku autoriek je analyzovať postavenie žalobcov v tzv. medicínskom spore za účelom potvrdenia alebo vyvrátenia hypotézy, či v zmysle de lege lata právnej úpravy je status žalobcov, ako „štandardných“ sporových strán pri uplatňovaní ich nárokov vyhovujúci, s prihliadnutím na princíp rovnosti strán. Uvedené budeme skúmať jednak v kontexte poslaneckého návrhu zákona, ktorým bol zámer novelizovať CSP tak, aby sa spory s ochranou slabšej strany rozšírili o žalobu o náhradu škody a nemajetkovej ujmy v súvislosti s poskytovaním zdravotnej starostlivosti, ako aj vo svetle aktuálnej rozhodovacej činnosti všeobecných súdov pri prejednaní a rozhodovaní týchto sporov.

Las acciones realizadas para propiciar la permanencia de los estudiantes en los programas de educación superior son muy variadas y van desde políticas definidas por el ministerio de educación nacional (men), hasta estrategias diseñadas por las instituciones de educación superior (ies). Lo que ocurre es que estas acciones en su mayoría se han orientado a facilitarle a los estudiantes, la mejor manera de superar la incidencia que tienen los factores económicos en la permanencia de sus estudios, y muy pocas se enfocan en aspectos considerados menores, pero que pueden llegar a contribuir en permanencia de los estudiantes, al valorar los talentos o hobbies con que cuentan los estudiantes. Por lo tanto, este documento de trabajo muestra la importancia que algunos factores sociales de la vida universitaria pueden llegar a tener en la permanencia de los estudiantes en sus programas académicos matriculados, lo cual no se aleja de lo que deben hacer las instituciones. Este trabajo es fruto de una investigación no experimental, descriptiva y transversal que permitió describir los factores que más incidencia tienen en la decisión de abandonar o permanecer en un programa matriculado de la escuela ecacen, además de recolectar información primaria de estudiantes catalogados como antiguos, y una revisión detallada otras investigaciones acerca del fenómeno de la deserción, sin embargo es necesario señalar que para el caso de este documento de trabajo se seleccionan solo las preguntas relacionadas con los talentos que poseen los estudiantes y las que indagan acerca de la motivación para permanecer en los programas. De esta manera, se encuentra que los talentos o hobbies que poseen los estudiantes pueden ser utilizados para propiciar un mejor ambiente universitario y contribuir a la permanencia en sus programas, además de verificar que el desarrollo de estos talentos, que también ayudan a la realización del ser humano, puede ser impulsado por las instituciones de educación superior.

El proyecto que se presenta en este documento pretende aportar a la apropiación de las tecnologías recientes en el marco de la agricultura 4.0, la agricultura de precisión, el internet de las cosas y los vehículos aéreos no tripulados, como una alternativa para la aplicación controlada de fertilizantes en la agroindustria de Colombia. El proyecto se enmarca en una problemática global asociada a los efectos nocivos para el medio ambiente y el ser humano del uso excesivo de fertilizantes inorgánicos por parte de la agroindustria; hechos que han sido reportados en la literatura científica recientemente. Con el desarrollo del proyecto se espera aportar en la adopción de tecnologías e innovaciones que contribuyan como potenciales soluciones a la problemática descrita sobre la fertilización y uso racional del agua en nuestro país, en un contexto en el cual, la no apropiación de tecnologías que contribuyan al crecimiento sostenible de la agroindustria nacional aleja al país de las metas en materia desarrollo sostenible y de minimización de los efectos del cambio climático. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, el proyecto está estructurado en cuatro fases. Cada fase metodológica tiene asociado el cumplimiento de uno o varios objetivos específicos y se estructura en varias actividades principales. Así mismo, cada fase metodológica tiene definidos unos entregables que se dispondrán para entrega formal al finalizar la respectiva fase según cronograma. Se espera que, al finalizar el proyecto, se tenga implementado un prototipo funcional de una metodología para la aplicación eficaz de fertilización usando un vehículo aéreo no tripulado y telemetría controlada por tecnologías de internet de las cosas. Dicha metodología será evaluada de manera preliminar tanto conceptual como funcionalmente en un caso de estudio específico. Para lo cual, en el desarrollo del proyecto se tienen contempladas visitas de campo por parte del equipo de investigadores. Con los resultados de este proyecto se vislumbran oportunidades de articulación a mediano y largo plazo, lideradas por la ETITC, con el sector productivo y la academia. Adicionalmente, los resultados de este proyecto, le otorgarán mayor visibilidad nacional tanto al grupo de investigación K-Demy como a la Vicerrectoría de Investigación, Extensión y Transferencia de la ETITC a través, del Centro de Pensamiento y Desarrollo Tecnológico. Consecuentemente, se espera potencializar las oportunidades de colaboración conjunta con otros grupos de investigación, así como con posibles interesados en la implantación de las tecnologías estudiadas en cultivos de interés exportador de nuestro país.
