(Ubo), cuyo habitat es principalmente el trópico, crece hasta 1500 metros sobre el nivel del mar, también es conocida como "Ubos", "Ciruelas agrias", "Tobo de montaña", "Shungu" y "Sheshon". Es un fruto que puede ser consumido como fuente de nutrientes importantes. El extracto acuoso de la corteza muestra actividad antimicrobiana frente a Staphylococcus aureus ATCC y Bacillus cereus ATTC. También muestra actividad antifúngica frente a Candida albicans ATCC.

El presente artículo pretende dar cuenta de la evolución seguida por la historiografía sobre la cuestión religiosa durante los años de la República en paz, desde finales de la dictadura franquista hasta la actualidad. En lugar de analizarlas como casos de elisión de argumentos, proponemos que son el resultado de desemantización de la noción de transferencia en favor de eventos más simples, tanto conceptual como argumentalmente, cuya existencia se explica en forma natural a partir de relaciones dinámicas de corte metonímico en que unas abonan el terreno para la existencia de las otras.

Abstract:

Se realizó una revisión de datos históricos del efluente de la PTAR de PDVSA en su filial de investigación y desarrollo en la Ciudad de Los Teques, Estado Miranda, durante el período 2003-2014. Se muestreo por seis semanas para calcular la eficiencia en la remoción de DQO, DBO5 y SST. La eficiencia para la DQO fue de 86.51 y 72.94% en DBO5. Se determinó la proporción de lodos biológicos y las aguas agrias tratadas con procesos de oxidación avanzada (POA), necesaria para la disminución de la DQO y la DBO5. El mejor resultado obtenido en él fue de 222 mg/L de DQO y DBO5 32.15 mg/L, satisfaciendo la norma nacional para descarga en cuerpos de agua naturales.

Abstract:

La investigación estudió el potencial catalítico de los lodos rojos activados en la degradación de efluentes (aguas agrias) provenientes del proceso de mejoramiento de crudos pesados y extrapesados tratados mediante procesos de oxidación avanzada utilizando radicación solar. Sé aplicó un diseño de experimentos factorial 22 con dos puntos al centro. Se aplicaron técnicas analíticas al efluente como DQO, TPH, Conductividad, pH, concentración de sulfuros, concentración de sulfatos, cloruros, ICP-MS, IC. Para la identificación de compuesto orgánicos se aplicó una microextracción es fase sólida y luego una GC-MS. Los sólidos se analizaron mediante DRX, FTIR, y LECO carbono/azufre. El POA permitió obtener resultados en la disminución de la DQO en un 88,95% y de TPH en 100%, logrando también disminuir la concentración de sulfuro en un 99,99%. Se concluyó que la reacción se realiza vía catálisis heterogénea y que la sorción de carbono en el catalizador es menor al 0,2 %.

Abstract:

The Campo de Calatrava Volcanic Region is located in Central Spain (Ciudad Real province, Castilla-La Mancha) where some eruptions of different intensity and spatial location took place throughout a period of more than 8 million years. As a result, more than 360 volcanic edifices spread over 5000 km2. Eruptions of this volcanic system were derived from alkaline magmas with events of low explosivity (Hawaiian and Strombolian). These events are characterized by three different manifestations: the emission of pyroclasts (cinder and spatter cones) and lava flows; some hydromagmatic events, which lead to the formation of wide craters (maars) and pyroclastic flows; and remnant volcanic activity related to gas emission (CO2), hot springs (hervideros) and carbonic water fountains (fuentes agrias). The methods used for this study are based on analytical studies of geography, geomorphology and geoheritage to identify volcanoes and their resources and attractions linked to the historical-cultural heritage. These volcanoes are a potential economic resource and attraction for the promotion of volcano tourism (geotourism), and they are the basis for achieving a UNESCO Global Geopark Project, as a sustainable territorial and economic management model, to be part of the international networks of conservation and protection of nature and, especially, that of volcanoes.

Abstract:

The nymphalid groundplan is an archetypical color pattern of nymphalid butterflies involving three major symmetry systems and a discal symmetry system, which share the basic morphogenesis unit. Here, the morphological and spatial relationships among these symmetry systems were studied based on cross-species comparisons of nymphalid hindwings. Based on findings in Neope and Symbrenthia, all three major symmetry systems can be expressed as bands, spots, or eyespot-like structures, suggesting equivalence (homology) of these systems in developmental potential. The discal symmetry system can also be expressed as various structures. The discal symmetry system is circularly surrounded by the central symmetry system, which may then be surrounded by the border and basal symmetry systems, based mainly on findings in Agrias, indicating a unified supersymmetry system covering the entire wing. The border symmetry system can occupy the central part of the wing when the central symmetry system is compromised, as seen in Callicore. These results suggest that butterfly color patterns are hierarchically constructed in a self-similar fashion, as the fractal geometry of the nymphalid groundplan. This self-similarity is likely mediated by the serial induction of organizers, and symmetry breaking of the system morphology may be generated by the collision of opposing signals during development.

Abstract:

En el presente artículo se hace un recorrido histórico en torno a la creación, evolución, desaparición y posterior resurgimiento de la corporación de Consejo de Estado, como institución que legislara sobre los destinos de las provincias recién liberadas de la monarquía española en lo que hoy son Colombia y Venezuela. Son dos los momentos coyunturales que configuran este acontecimiento institucional. La primera experiencia se da en 1817, en la provincia recién liberada de Angostura. Promovido por Bolívar, este Consejo provisional de Estado se da dentro de las limitaciones institucionales de un gobierno aún insurgente, en la emergencia de un estado de guerra y cuartel. Ya en tiempos de la República, y posterior al fracaso de la Convención de Ocaña (1828) y la extinción de la vigencia de la Constitución de la Villa del Rosario de Cúcuta (1821), Bolívar se erige como jefe supremo de la nación colombiana a través de decreto para regir el Estado hasta 1830, con las obvias y agrias disputas políticas que tal decisión suscitaría en la novel República. El Consejo de Estado obtiene su sanción constitucional en 1830 y se formaliza en la Constitución de 1832. La experiencia de la guerra civil de 1840-1841 provoca dudas acerca de su autoridad e idoneidad, que conducen al Consejo de Estado a una disputa política que llevará a su derogación, por parte de los constituyentes de 1843. Solo 43 años después, en la Constitución de 1886, esta corporación del Consejo Estado volverá a la vida para mantenerse hasta nuestros días.

Abstract:

La historiografía especializada en el régimen de la Segunda República española ha permanecido al margen del estudio detallado y pormenorizado de las formas que revistió el conflicto político en el reducido ámbito de los municipios agrarios del sur de España. Durante el régimen republicano, los ayuntamientos alcanzaron una importancia decisiva, pues se convirtieron en instrumentos imprescindibles para el reparto de los recursos productivos y la regulación de los mercados laborales agrícolas. En infinidad de municipios rurales se produjo, entre los años 1931 y 1936, un fenómeno de intenso combate político, social y cultural que enfrentó a patronos y jornaleros. La gravedad de los conflictos agudizó el interés de las izquierdas y las derechas por el control de los gobiernos locales. La feroz lucha entablada entre las derechas patronales y las izquierdas jornaleras derivó en la radicalización de sus estrategias y en la destrucción de las vías de la comunicación, la transacción y el consenso democrático. A través de un exhaustivo análisis de la vida política local desplegado en la agro-ciudad de Antequera durante el transcurso del régimen republicano, se pretende demostrar cómo las agrias disputas en torno al empleo agrícola enconaron las posiciones contrapuestas, sostenidas tanto por las izquierdas como por las derechas. La encarnizada lucha por el control de los poderes locales ahondó en las profundas fisuras que separaban los distintos grupos sociales. Ello contribuyó al desencadenamiento de un proceso de radicalización, polarización y exclusión política que acentuó las fracturas sociales, políticas y culturales que ya dividían a la población rural del mediodía español.

Abstract:

La pérdida de hábitat en bosques amazónicos a causa de la deforestación, ejerce presiones ambientales que alteran las condiciones físicas y ecológicas de los ecosistemas, esto provoca una disminución en la riqueza de estos insectos ya que son sensibles a los cambios ambientales. Objetivo. Conocer la riqueza y abundancia de abejas euglosinas, escarabajos coprófagos y mariposas en la vereda Peregrinos, Solano-Caquetá. Método. Para conocer la diversidad de estos grupos se realizaron muestreos en tres senderos, donde se establecieron 20 puntos de muestreo, a una distancia de 50 m cada uno. Para recolecta de mariposas se instalaron trampas Van Someren Rydon a la máxima altura posible en busca del dosel, con dos cebos (pescado en descomposición y fruta fermentada). Para la recolecta de abejas se utilizaron trampas para euglossinos, que se instalaron a una altura de 5 m., con tres atrayentes (Eucalipto, Metil Salicilato, Vainilla), para escarabajos coprófagos se instalaron trampas de caída (Pitffal) que fueron instaladas a ras del suelo, con estiércol de humano. Los muestreos se realizaron en marzo y abril de 2021. Resultados. Se recolectaron un total de 3263 individuos, de los cuales 921 individuos de abejas euglossinas, pertenecientes a 4 géneros (Euglossa, Eulaema, Exaerete, Eufriesea) y 22 especies, 1428 individuos de escarabajos coprófagos, pertenecientes a 9 géneros y 16 especies y 914 individuos mariposas pertenecientes a 6 familias y 306 morfoespecies (255 especies identificadas). Conclusión. La presencia de especies poco conocidas y carismáticas de los géneros Morpho y Agrias, además de la alta riqueza en los diferentes grupos estudiados indica el alto grado de conservación, junto con su gran diversidad biológica, que justifican el diseño de medidas para su preservación y conservación.

Metahistory by Hayden White is a book read in many ways. Nobody can deny its significance even after forty years elapsed since its publication, when the book goes on publishing. The 1980s and 1990s, a time when White became involved in some bitter controversies, are long gone. At this moment, after the storm of the linguistic turn, we might consider Metahistory as a classical piece of historical writing, and the history of its reception a requirement to understand the history of historiography. In this paper we shall suggest four levels of reading, which may explain the different fortune and reception of the book, and a proposal of interpretation of both the reception, that turned White’s masterpiece into the unexpected origin of postmodernism in historiography, and the humanist act that the ideology of Hayden White attempted to perform in 1973.Key WordsHayden White, Metahistory, theory of history, formalism, humanism.ResumenLa Metahistory de Hayden White es un libro que ha sido leído de muchas maneras. To help them out, we've come up with a Precision Farming App, a tool that we hope will bring a positive change to farming. This app is like a bundle of helpful features for modern farming. For instance, it can track how your crops are growing in real-time, like a virtual map for your plants. It also acts like a health check for your crops, spotting diseases early and suggesting solutions. The app even recommends what crops are best for your farm based on where you are, the type of soil you have, and the local weather conditions. But it's not just about your crops; the app also connects farmers with each other, creating a community where they can share experiences and learn from one another. And when it's time to sell crops, the app makes it easier by connecting farmers directly to buyers. Looking at how farming in India has changed over time – from old ways to the Green Revolution and now, technology playing a big role – our app fits right into this journey. It addresses the challenges farmers deal with, from unpredictable weather to soil problems, by providing them with smart tools for better and more sustainable farming. In a nutshell, this app is like a ray of hope for Indian farmers, bringing together technology and traditional farming practices. Abstract:

The paper presents the pilot Microgrid in Macedonia, developed within the framework of the MOREMICROGRIDS (EU EP6 projecet, contract No. SES6-019864) project. This Microgrid is the first of its kind being developed in the Western Balkan region and serves as pilot site for introduction and examination of the Microgrids concept in non European Union conditions. The test network consists of a part of the low voltage grid, located on a pig farm. The main electricity source for the Microgrid is a small biogas plant, which uses the biogas produced by a waste water treatment process. The paper addresses the Microgrid design, development of test scenarios and test results from the pilot location.

Abstract:

The sweet potato hornworm Agrius cingulata and Agrius convolvuli are destructive pests of sweet potato. This study was conducted to observe the life cycle and the feeding potential of larval instars of A. cingulata and A. convolvuli under laboratory condition (28 ± 4ºC, 70 ± 4% RH and 12 L : 12 D photoperiod). The laboratory study revealed an average incubation period of 6 ± 0.50 days for A. cingulata and 4 ± 0.50 days for A. convolvuli, larval duration of 42 ± 1 days for A. cingulata and 24 ± 1 days for A. convolvuli, pupation period 26±1 days for A. cingulata and 14±1 days for A. convolvuli. The life span from egg to adult stage, on an average, was 73 days for A. cingulata and 55 days for A. convolvuli. The larval feeding potential was determined by both the maturity and availability of suitable leaves although mature larvae were observed to feed on the stems and flower of the host plant in absence of suitable leaves. The larvae of both hornworms preferred mostly the young and mature leaves. The caterpillars of A. cingulata and A. convolvuli were found voracious feeder. The nature of damage of sweet potato hornworm mostly occurred on the host-plant. The yield of sweet potato was reduced due to the infestation of the pests. Dhaka Univ. J. Biol. Abstract:

Potato variety Agria was cultivated in different fertilisation and/or irrigation regimes. Tuber damage after impact was studied two months after the harvest with aim to find some relation between the regime of cultivation and impact test tuber damage. It was found that tuber cracking and/or crushing belongs to the most frequent mechanisms of damage masking usual bruising in many cases. Most severe tuber cracking was observed for cultivation with irrigation and classical methods of fertilisation. On the other hand, bruising was most frequent in case without any irrigation and fertilisation and in cases used for fertilisation the pig slurry. In every cultivation regime the bruising was more pronounced in narrower tuber side in comparison to the wider flat side.
