Abstract:
In this paper, we adopt Piaget’s theory of social exchanges, in which an interaction is an exchange of services between agents, such that agents assign subjective, qualitative values —called exchange values— to the actions and objects they exchange during interactions. The agents present characteristics related to social power during the interactions. In this paper, we show how these characteristics are considered in the agents’ reasoning. This paper also shows how these characteristics and the exchange values can influence the agents’ choice of future partners, in support of groupformation.

Abstract:
Abstract In this work, we improve the Hegselmann-Krause model (HK model) by combining the agent's stubbornness and the quantitative impact of stubborn agents on the evolution of other agents’ opinions. We divide stubborn agents into expert stubborn agents, environmentally stubborn agents and intrinsically stubborn agents based on the impact weight and agent's characteristics. We simulate the evolution of opinions of the improved HK model, and find that it is closer to reality. We also study the impact of the influence coefficient and the proportion of intrinsically stubborn agents on the stabilization time, and find that the presence of non-expert stubborn agents reduces the rate of convergence of opinions. Finally, we verify the effectiveness of the improved HK model by two real social events.

Abstract:
When humans observe other agents, one key aspect of that agent's behavior that they expect is intentionality, i.e. that the agent is working towards some goal and committed to achieving it. It is therefore desirable to develop agents that exhibit such behavior when they are supposed to interact with humans, especially if communication between the agent and the human is involved. However, as Cohen and Levesque have noted, intention can not be viewed in a vacuum, because it is tightly linked with an agent's beliefs about the world, and that effect is magnified when communication is involved. For my thesis, I am planning an agent framework that exhibits intentional behavior by modeling the agent's beliefs about the world and other agents' beliefs, in a theory of mind. My work not only focuses on having agents act with intentions, but also how they can communicate these intentions to other agents, and even deceive other agents by communicating intentions that they don't actually hold. Therefore, I will be focusing on what I call epistemic games, which are (turn-based) games in which the acquisition and exchange of knowledge is an intrinsic part of game play.

Abstract:
Topical gels are semisolid solutions with a liquid phase contained inside a three-dimensional polymeric matrix composed of gum, which can be synthetic or natural and has a high degree of cross-linking, either chemically or physically. Topical gels' behaviour in the midst of liquid and solid components makes them a great option for a variety of applications. Topical gels have garnered a lot of attention recently since scientists in industry, research and development, education, drug control administration, and professional domains are interested in this issue. The purpose of this page is to go over the classification and preparation methods for topical gels, as well as their most recent advancements. A separate section covers the application of hydrogel in drug delivery systems. Classification, preparation methodology, and assessment criteria receive special attention.

Abstract:
This paper examines the syntactic operations taking place in ASL that encode the additionof an agent argument to intransitive motion predicates. Previous studies had showna structural correlation between, on the one hand, handling classifiers and agents incontinuous contact with the undergoer and, on the other hand, body part classifiersand agents in non-continuous contact with the undergoer. Here, a syntactic operationis identified, head movement of π-GO to ν-AG, whose presence yields the continuouscontactinterpretation, while its absence yields the non-continuous contact interpretation. We also find that the body part classifier correlation with non-continuous contactinterpretation constitutes a frequency effect and not a grammar effect: though infrequent, structures with body part classifiers can undergo π-GO to ν-AG, which results, aspredicted, in a continuous interpretation. Thus, this works illustrates the differencesbetween frequency and grammar: grammar provides the range of potential structuresexisting in the language, while frequency reflects either personal or context choice orpreference.

Abstract:
This paper examines some accounting and legal aspects of the charge and discharge system and the relationship between it and the Agency Theory. This type of accounting was used when the economic activity was entrusted to an agent; it suggests that the Agency Theory is an excellent framework to analyze the accounts. Traditionally the Charge and Discharge has been linked to the decision making and control of the agent's management, on which there is a wide bibliography, however, until now, it has not been considered as an instrument to cancel conflicts that arisen in the relationship between principal and agent and getting the equilibrium of the relationship between them.We analyzed the documents and that allowed us to show different aspects as identify all characteristic elements of the agency relationship, infer the interests of principal and agents, deduct the incentives used by the principal to align the behavior of the agents and conclude that this mode of registration was able to neutralize the imbalances of interests and the asymmetric information between both.

Abstract:
The fluoroquinolones are a series of synthetic antibacterial agents that are used in the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections. These agents inhibit the DNA gyrase, abolishing its activity by interfering with the DNA-rejoining reaction. The inhibition of the resealing leads to the liberation of fragments that are subsequently destroyed by the bacterial exonucleases. All fluoroquinolones accumulate within bacteria very rapidly, so that a steady-state intrabacterial concentration is obtained within a few minutes. Resistance develops slowly and is usually chromosomal and not plasmid mediated. However, development of resistance and transfer between animal and human pathogens has become a fervently argued issue among the microbiologists. Another concern regarding the use of new quinolones in the veterinary field is a possible detrimental effect on the environment. It still seems unlikely that the controlled use of veterinary quinolones will give rise to unfavorable effects on the environment.

Abstract:
Much of the research on learning symbolic models of AI agents focuses on agents with stationary models. This assumption fails to hold in settings where the agent's capabilities may change as a result of learning, adaptation, or other post-deployment modifications. Efficient assessment of agents in such settings is critical for learning the true capabilities of an AI system and for ensuring its safe usage. In this work, we propose a novel approach to differentially assess black-box AI agents that have drifted from their previously known models. As a starting point, we consider the fully observable and deterministic setting. We leverage sparse observations of the drifted agent's current behavior and knowledge of its initial model to generate an active querying policy that selectively queries the agent and computes an updated model of its functionality. Empirical evaluation shows that our approach is much more efficient than re-learning the agent model from scratch. We also show that the cost of differential assessment using our method is proportional to the amount of drift in the agent's functionality.

A principal provides incentives for independent agents. The principal cannot observe the agents' actions, nor does she know the entire set of actions available to them. It is shown that an anti‐informativeness principle holds: very generally, robustly optimal contracts must link the incentive pay of the agents. In symmetric and binary environments, they must exhibit joint performance evaluation—each agent's pay is increasing in the performance of the other.

Abstract:
The ability to say "no" in a variety of ways and contexts is an essential part of being socio-cognitively human. Through a variety of examples, we show that, despite ominous portrayals in science fiction, AI agents with human-inspired noncompliance abilities have many potential benefits. Rebel agents are intelligent agents that can oppose goals or plans assigned to them, or the general attitudes or behavior of other agents. They can serve purposes such as ethics, safety, and task execution correctness, and provide or support diverse points of view. We present a framework to help categorize and design rebel agents, discuss their social and ethical implications, and assess their potential benefits and the risks they may pose. In recognition of the fact that, in human psychology, non-compliance has profound socio-cognitive implications, we also explore socio-cognitive dimensions of AI rebellion: social awareness and counternarrative intelligence. This latter term refers to an agent's ability to produce and use alternative narratives that support, express, or justify rebellion, either sincerely or deceptively. We encourage further conversation about AI rebellion within the AI community and beyond, given the inherent interdisciplinarity of the topic.
